We saw a Minke whale here!!! Just sitting on the big natural stones, and enjoying the sea air and view, and suddenly a cute amazing visitor 🐳 come visiting! This is a wonderful little calm spot hit our Tadoussac trip! Free and a must visit while in Tadoussac!

Islet Point Hiking Trail at Tadousaac is very beautiful with stunning sunset views. The trail is easy and well maintained along with benches to rest at some points within the trail. It is very famous for whale watching and we saw many humpback whales and a less beluga whales. After watching so many whales show here, we dropped our idea to take a whale’s watching cruise, since it was very expensive and we were satisfied with whale watching from this point. We just need to spend some hours here to enjoy it during sunset time specially. Whale watching at this point along with sunset view was just mesmerizing. We also spotted a seal but couldn’t capture it camera. I have attached many humpback whales videos, one video also has a beluga whale and breathing sunset view video as well that we saw. We would love to go there again for whale watching and sunset. Best and guaranteed time for whale watching is around sunset, plane to visit this point there before and after an hour of sunset. Before this hiking trail starts there is one flushed washroom facility available. It was well maintained. It was dog friendly trail, we saw many pets with other tourists.

Stunning little area with a fantastic view of the river. We saw it in both the fog and full sun — two totally different and equally beautiful experiences.
PS: Keep your eyes open for whales here.

Wonderful short walk to see the Saguenay River. It was so beautiful.
We went twice....once around 4.30 pm and were able to see beluga whales. They were far and could see them by eye but we were fortunate to have our binoculars with us for a better view.
We went again the next day at 10 a.m. and didn't see any whales but you didn't need to as the scenery at low tide was just breathtaking.
They have it so you are all supposed to enter in in one side and have one way flow but you encounter people who don't read the signs and go the opposite direction. It is spacious so it is not a worry.

This is a fantastic spot to visit for either the very young or old. You can sit on the rocks and have a picnic while whale watching. While we were there, we saw Beluga whales pop up right from the shore. I recommend to bring binoculars . This spot also offers fantastic opportunities for sunset pics over the Fjords. It was our last place we visited before heading back home and our entire group loved it. Ended the trip on a fantastic note.

A beautiful place to walk and take pictures. Did not see any whales but have been told that beluga whales tend to visit this pointe. Water was so clear and beautiful. Free of cost.

Breathtaking view across the bay and down the Saguenay, beautiful sunsets with the chance of spotting belugas and other whales! Had an amazing experience with two mink whales just off the shore during sundown! Would recommend making this part of your trip to Tadoussac!

We got off a whale watching tour and started the trail close to the pier! It is a beautiful trail that goes along the St Lawrence River and loops around on a combination of boardwalks with stairs and large rock faces to the Saguenay River. The Saguenay River feeds into the St Lawrence at the point of the trail. I loved sitting at the point and enjoying the birds and a minke whale. I also enjoyed seeing the ferries cross the river!

Such a cute chapel, so greatly preserved.
Hard to believe that's the oldest wood-made chapel still standing in North America.

Nice historical place. Not many people speak or understand English here. It’s nice if u know French. But if you don’t know still you will survive. The old church constructed in 1747 is beautiful. There is also a beach nearby if you want to visit. Hotel tadoussac is also beautiful. U can go and visit it. It has some old weapons and crockery preserved.

I almost didn’t stop at this chapel, it is difficult for me to get excited about yet another religious site (I feel like I’ve seen a lot over the years). It was raining and I decided to stop inside - what a good decision. The wooden chapel is unlike any other chapel I’ve seen, and there is a great collection of old objects inside. It has been meticulously restored and if you’re a fan of old construction, you won’t be disappointed. The passionate, expert guide made the visit more than worthwhile, I learned a ton. If you like history and old things, it is well worth the stop.

The brewery takes pride in its original and daring beers inspired by local brewing traditions. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of craft beers, from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts and refreshing lagers.
I loved this place. We sat outside enjoying the cool Tadoussac air and gorgeous view! I liked the smaller size drinking glasses! The Imperial stout was creamy and delicious! The chocolate was very complimentary with the beer! I enjoyed munching on the spicy olives and pickles! Our servers were great! There is a limited food menu but excellent beer options.

I am blown away by the quality and selection of the beers here! Their kitchen and menu were limited, but the pizzas were awesome. The Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre, also known as CIMM, is a cetacean research center located in Tadoussac. It offers an educational and interactive experience for visitors interested in learning about marine mammals. The museum features a 13-meter long sperm whale skeleton, videos, audio recordings, games, and a collection of real whale skeletons. Visitors can also enjoy simulators that provide insight into the sound frequency of marine mammals.
À voir à Tadoussac! Un musée petit mais charmant, avec beaucoup d'informations sur les mammifères marins qui se retrouvent dans la région. Les squelettes sont tous vrais et vraiment impressionnants. Le personnel était amiable et impliqué.

Went there when doing a whale watching cruise. Not big, but there was a biologist there answering all questions that I found really nice. I do not know if the tickets go to whale preservation initiatives, but I hope it is the case. If so, the 15$ ticket was well spent.

It's very small and it's all in French. I wasn't aware that there was an English pamphlet available until after I left the place and read the reviews. That would have been nice to know. There are many whale skeletons hanging from the ceiling. However, I couldn't find where it told what species each skeleton was. If you speak English and not French, it's probably worth the money if you can get your hands on the English pamphlet.
Valerie Jones — Google review
This is a really cool museum that has plenty of stuff to see and learn about the whales in the area. You can spend about an hour here. I just wish there was even more to see but for the price it's worth it.
Sam Stephenson — Google review
We visited this center on July 14. There is parking at the center. It's not free, the parking is from the city. Our visit started with two short movies about the belugas. Afterwards you could ask questions and the biologist responded. Skeletons of mammals hang from the ceiling in the main hall of the center. You can read the history of those animals on a screen.
Peter Stassen — Google review
Amazing place, with loads of interactive games and teaching tools! All skeletons are real and they encourage you to touch and discover everthing yourself. It's beautifully done, you can see the passion. Gift shop is very cute, with proceeds going to marine mammal research!🐋🐳
The one setback is that everything is in french- you can access the english version by asking for a guidebook
Natasha — Google review
Nestled right next to the marina, this wealth of knowledge stays true to its name. If you’re into whales this is the place to be. Most of the info are in French but the guides will give you a presentation in English. The guides are actually researchers with PhDs so they’re very knowledgeable about whales. You should get a free ticket to this place with your whale watching cruise so don’t miss this!
F W — Google review
A well-maintained museum to learn about whales. They have cool simulators such as one for learning about the sound frequency. The fossils collections give perfect visualization of the size of these mammals. Located next to a beautiful marina, it's a great place to spend time with the kids.
OFIQ Canada — Google review
Staff are knowledgeable, and the exhibition is well curated. I could have spent the whole day there learning and talking about whales. Only $12.50 entrance fee and the gift shop is reasonably priced, products made in Canada/Quebec plus all proceeds go the Centre and whale research/conservation. Highly recommend!! Also, go before you go on the whale watching cruises so you can be more knowledgeable when you see the most amazing creatures in the world.

1:30pm Zodiac 16 October 2022. Chose a beautiful day. We saw 5 different types of whales inc Belugas which is why I came. We saw a humpback whale breach (jump fully out of the water) right next to the boat. It was really amazing.
I love how respectful the naturalist was to have a system of people standing and sitting. While also her English was really great. The narration was mostly French but appreciated the English. The naturalist also said we were very lucky to have so many wildlife encounters and that this was the best tour all year. And for the last few weeks they found a humpback whale and would just follow it on dull cloudy days.
I was hesitant to spend the $115 inc tax on the tour but I believe it’s really worth it even if we hadn’t seen any animals. They don’t have a prediction on what is out there. The animals are wild. But I appreciate their patience as they indulged me on these questions.
They said on the water it was -15 degrees and to dress appropriately. Im glad I did, but the wind is still very cold. They provide waterproof shells too, jackets and bottom. No shoes. I didn’t get wet at all, but maybe that was the sea-conditions for the day. Had a lovely chicken soup afterwards to warm up.
Take precautions if you get seasick! I did and still felt a little sick as I’m sensitive. Enjoy the tour folks!

Booked this trip not expecting much but wow was I wrong!! It was incredible!!! We saw Beluga whales, fin whales, mink whales and humpback whales. It was a trip of a lifetime I truly loved it.

I'd never thought I'd be able to see whales on my first ever trip, the stories of going thru the 2 hour trip and not being able to see one whale was repeated to me several times...but this September of 2021 was the biggest sightings of whales on record.
No matter where I looked, there was whales everywhere. Would definitely recommend everyone to try this out.
Felix Mongeon — Google review
We love our tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and she answered all our questions. We were lucky and we were able to watch the whales.
Lilian Paredes — Google review
Overall a disappointment. Seems like anything that gets commercialized and full of tourists at that point is overrated. Also way overpriced. Look for whales from the shoreline and spend your money on another type of experience. A walk along the shore, a kayak trip in a secluded place or a bike ride along a quiet road.
Joseph Connor — Google review
This is a professional company. It was easy to book online. There was no confusion between what we had booked and the office. The boat is large and has enough space for everyone. The guide was excellent and knowledgeable. We did see the backs of several whales. We were under dressed for the weather so recommend bringing warmer clothes.
Dave Klassen — Google review
We did see whales, and that was cool, but if you are a non-French speaker, expect to be treated with little regard if not outright disdain. We could not get the time of day for anyone to explain to us how lunch worked, whale facts, or how to get ready to board the boat in English without pulling major teeth. We took a bus from Quebec, and they stopped and told people to buy food. I had reserved lunch online and asked when we would get it. They said at the boat dock. We got to the dock, and they said hurry get your gear and prepare to board. They had someone going around trying to convince people not to go on zodiac ( it was October and cold). I asked what was dangerous/risks and got blank stares. We decided to stay with zodiac as we were fully suited in wet gear/seemed relatively safe. We get on the boat, and the captain is speaking for minutes in French, and we are getting like one sentence in English that is basically non information. They start hitting massive waves as soon as we are on the water and cold water is soaking my hands/feet/going in hood. I moved to another seat because I realize now that I need to fight hypothermia/frost bite for next 2 hours and try to stay dry as the wet suit is clearly not enough. At another dock, the captain is speaking French again and comes to the side of the boat and starts pointing at me and yelling in french.i say "I'm sorry?" And she yells at me in English at that point to "move to your original seat as I said before" (in french I'm guessing) , scolding me like a child. Of course I complied when I understood her, but it was odd to be treated like a kid on a school trip when I paid 200 dollars to be there and I was clearly trying to practice survival instincts! From there the captain would only say positional where to look for whales, but all extra info was in french only. Not a big deal but not super hospitable either. When we got back we were starving and I inquired again on lunch. They said and I quote. "Bad news, no lunch". No sorry but we got a number to call to get the refund. That was a long bus ride home. Whales were worth it, but we were treated like scum for that much money.

Really incredible team. The check in people were very friendly and advised us on safety and general guidelines. We bought tickets online for the zodiac tour.
The navigator/sailor was amazing. He asked us if we wanted to chance it at seeing a blue whale and we did!!
We saw every single specie of whale on the St Lawrence and he even let us stay a couple of minutes longer to see the tails of the whales as they turned.
Great team, great experience.

Did the zodiac tour at 1:30pm and had the BEST time! Our captain and guide were so much fun. We saw so many whales it was truly unbelievable.
Gabby Pinkerton — Google review
What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Agatha was wonderful in explaining everything in English and letting us know where the whales were and basic information about them. She said from the start that seeing whales isn’t guaranteed, and we ended up seeing at least 12 whales and one that came so close to our ship :-)))) well worth the money and the lovely sceneries. Captain was patient and took his time and waited in a lot of spots to make it able for us to see as much of sea life as possible. Would def go with AML from lovely Tadoussac again!
Wafaa OG — Google review
The staff is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have done the zodiac cruise many times. I most recently did this today. Sometimes I was lucky and saw a humpback breach. But other times, I only saw minkes, belugas, seals, and the tail of a humpback. While this is still cool, it is nowhere near as exciting as seeing a humpback breach.
You have to manage your expectations and expect that you will not see a breaching humpback. The other whales are not as exciting to observe. You only see their fins for a brief moment.
Based on my experiences, I would say that you might have a 20% chance of seeing breaching humpbacks. The other 80% of the time this excursion might feel a little pricey for what you get.
I love humpback whales but it can be frustrating when you drive a long distance, book a hotel, and end up being disappointed. You might have to invest a lot of time and money to get a great experience.
This is not a complaint against the staff as they are great. It is just an attempt to manage expectations with these types of excursions.

Beautiful, unique local pottery. A great place to buy souvenirs.

They lost my business! I was so looking forward to stopping here on our way to Tadoussac. I love pottery and wanted some nice pieces from the area. I also needed a bathroom break by the time we got there. This place is out in the middle of nowhere and is also a pretty common tourist stop so I figured a bathroom would not be an issue. But, when I asked where it was located, the gentleman there told me, in a grumpy and unkind manner, that he does not allow visitors to use their facilities. We left to find a bathroom someplace else and after the way he spoke to me, I decided I didn't want to go back. And, there was certainly no problem finding great pottery in some of the picturesque villages further up the highway.
Of all my Google reviews, this is the first negative one I've written. Just left a really bad impression with me. It's fine not to have public restrooms, but at least be nice about it!

Thrilling experience! Had lots of fun and it was my first time ever at climbing.
Guides were not very helpful. This isn't a beginners activity and very hard without a guide at some points. Im in good physical shape, but I didn't know anything about climbing and guides did not explain well enough so my fingers were in lots of pain after. I got more help, explenations and instructions from other climbers. Careful with the knees when you go down, don't rush!
Bring gloves that protect well the fingers, I found it's a must. Mosquito repellent and a tiny bag of snacks and water (I had a huge backpack and it was not fun).

Apart from one trail (Sylvain) that could be considered beginners beware thd rest are extremely demanding. Having done thd Eagle (Aigle) with my wife, cousins and dog on top of being caught in the pouring rain. These other trails are for very well seasoned trail enthusiasts. We gad to climb over big boulders over running streams! Beware if you get hurt because terrain is so rugged that you will most probably lifted œuf by helicopter. On top of it all, you expect those at the welcome center to know their trails well. That was not the case. We were told by an employee that there were some steeper inclines and then the descent was slow. We found out at the end when we returned that she had never done the trail!!! 😱

Beautiful scenery all around, with beautiful sights once you reach the observation points. The expert side is recommended for the hiking start point since it is rough and would be a bit risky on the down side. In addition, this is a great mountain with a rocky side (this portion is for climbers only). Easily expect 4 hours for the loop hike.

Amazing experience! We did the via ferrata, suspension bridge, abseiling and zip lining. Each activity was excellent, we had a blast! The guides were excellent, making the experience super fun and the right amount of safe and challenging, no matter your comfort and fitness level. I like indoor rock climbing and this allowed me to feel like I was really getting a great outdoor climbing experience, requiring no specialized equipment on my part! (Of note: The guides spoke English great, luckily for me and my limited French.) Shout out to Charles and Miguel - both were awesome! Definitely would recommend to a friend!

Very nice. If you aren't up to the via ferrata you can hike some pretty trails. Just stop by the visitors center for some maps and to pay the 8$/person fee. There are some cute camping grounds and a lake.

1000% recommended! The staff is so friendly, kind, and accommodating. They will let you use wet suit, and wet shoes, and they do a great instruction on how to navigate with the sea kayak. I highly recommend going in the morning trip if you can as the wind is less, the water is calmer, less waves, and the sun should be less intense. Our guide Tomas was exceptional, so funny and professional ❤️ I would definitely return sometime soon and do a longer all day trip. I just did the 3 hours trip. You will be hungry later, so I recommend to go right to the crepes place in front of fjord en kayak OR for dinner 100% treat yourself to the best home cooked dinner in town at Auberge Fjordelaise- this is also an outstanding place to sleep if staying in town. After kayaking or before there are many great hikes as well that the staff at Fjord en Kayak will be happy to tell you about. This is a solid company and you can’t go wrong doing any adventures with them.

We took the 3 hour tour along the Fjord. It was a truly breath taking experience. Our guide, Arnaud, really made the trip! Echoing other reviewers, as (mostly) anglophones, we expected to just go along with the trip and follow as best we could. It was nice to have everything translated for us (even his great jokes!) We had a novice kayaker in our group and our guide really made everyone feel comfortable navigating the waters. This is an exceptional way to see the grandness of the fjord. Would recommend in a heartbeat. (Also make sure to treat all your hard work with some ice cream at the cafè after :))

We just completed a 6 day trip down the Fjord, we used Fjord en Kayak as our outfitter and for guides. The trip was amazingly well planned and our guides Thomas and Gen were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and they prepared wonderful meals which met our challenging dietary needs. I would 100% recommend Fjord en Kayak!

Booked a 3h tandem kayak tour (morning slot). Parking at Marina L’Anse-Saint-Jean was free and the location was easy to find. Their COVID protocols were on point, all equipment was sterilized/washed and I felt comfortable.
As a first-time tandem kayaker, I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. Our guide, Anthonie, was very knowledgeable and a hilarious story-teller, he made the experience exceptional. Fun times all around, would definitely recommend.

We did a 3 hour afternoon sea Kayak tour. Mathieu was our guide. They have a great safety and info session with you to start. À rain jacket, neoprene booties and dry bag for phone etc were provided. PFD too obviously. Groups are small enough the guide gives careful attention to each participant. I would have paddled a slightly faster pace myself to cover more distance but I understand they have to make sure everyone in the group is comfortable with the pace. We got lucky and saw 8 harbour seals resting on the rocks of the fjord walls... We kept our distance as instructed. Mathieu was knowledgeable & passionate about the area and gave us a great dinner recommendation for the Microbrasserie next door. Fabulous experience.

Went with the fam. The tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. The water was calm and great scenery. The group gave all the gear needed to ensure you were well equipped and not cold on the water. The tour was not too long not too short overall perfect outing for the day with lovely cafes surrounding for a bite to eat afterwards. Overall couldn't recommend fjord en Kayak enough 🛶💗

An epic adventure! We were impressed from start to finish on our 3 day kayak trip in the Fjord du Saguenay. Our guide Billy was simply exceptional. Safety was a priority but his love and knowledge of the fjord are what made it so unforgettable. Billy worked tirelessly to provide superb meals, tell stories and educate us about this unique and beautiful part of the world. I probably can’t recommend this trip highly enough - but I want there to be some space when we return next summer. 😃

Had an excellent time with Fjord en Kayak! My friend and I did the full day excursion, which includes lunch -280usd for 2 people (tip not included). We had prefect weather for the first half, a bit gloomy and calm weather. The 2nd half was rainy and windy
Going back was a head on wind and it was a struggle to get back.
Highly suggest if you do a full day you have done kayaking before and relatively fit. We crossed the fjord twice. Lunch was sandwiches, fruit, cheese, and a dessert bar.
The guides were amazing and spoke English well. You will be in a group with other strangers but they were all friendly too.
The half day would be sufficient if to are short on time too.

We went for a short day trip. Excellent experience! Our guide was exceptional! He was the type to go above and beyond for the guests. He insisted on speaking English to appease our anglophone familiarities - even though we were equally proficient in French! He also insisted on taking my DSLR camera to snap pictures while we rode. Much like his insistency to speak English to us, we could tell he was in a little over his head using a DSLR, yet still managed to capture some great photos for us. These things indicate a true devotion to customer service, which make it sincerely worthy of 5 stars!

Overall, an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived we were greeted very warmly by the guides, they introduced us to the dogs and shared with us their stories. They explained perfectly how to drive the dog sledge and involved us in all the process. The tour was magical, we were able to enjoy the landscapes: woods, crossing the river, Érable forest, etc... and at the same time we had the chance to have fun and enjoy driving the sledge in curves, uphills & downhills! I purchased the bear grease hair mask (lavender scent) and bear grease cream. Both smell divine and are very light and creamy. The hair mask made my hair so soft as I have dry curly hair and the bear grease cream I used not only on my body but actually used a small amount on my hair as a leave in hair conditioner, it worked. I love the fact that the products are organic and natural (no harsh chemicals). The owner was so kind to include a soap sample (shea butter), it lathered well and my skin was so soft. I would definitely recommend Savonnerie to others and they gained a returning but happy customer. Thank you, Savonnerie.

(Translated by Google) I LOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, it's really a beautiful site with a beautiful view of the lake and forest landscape.
Two large Native American houses with a teepee and a small gardener. Then, they reproduced the first site of New France in Quebec that Champlain had created and built with the help of his 70 men. It was very well done and made. We call it the upper town. Then, just down from the first site of New France, there was the lower town where they have been doing archaeological digs for a long time. They were able to find many old objects and even an old roof from a first small house.
The extras were good at portraying the characters of the time and showing how these people lived in squalor and poverty going into this new world and starting from nothing. They also presented us with objects that we were able to hold in our hands.
The site takes a long time to find in the countryside but the signs still guide us a little. You should change this so that people can easily find this site.
Primary and secondary schools in Quebec should take students to this site so that they can learn the history of Quebec more easily in a short time.
(Original)

Learn about the natural beauty that are the fjords of the Saguenay and Lac St. Jean region.

Amazing family experience 💯 recommended if you are in the area👌. We love nature and this was such a great opportunity to be outside and explore

It’s great that questions like how the fjord formed and why is the water in the river salty are answered after the visit. The history of the paper pulp and aluminum industry is also very interesting to see. Highly recommend to visit.

What a gem! I have lived here for over a year and this was my first visit. My kids loved the aquarium and the touch tank was so interesting! The dinosaur exhibit was extraordinary. Even the film presentation was a unique adventure. The kids were not bored and they loved every minute. Staff is attentive and seem excited about their job. We will go back!

Monts-Valin National Park landmark at 980 meters, with a ski area & hiking & biking trails.
I want to extend my gratitude to three members of the facility team who generously assisted me in freeing my car from the snow. Their kindness was crucial; without them, I might have ended up stranded, requiring a tow for my car. However, being stuck there wouldn't have been a terrible situation, considering the park's beautiful views, delightful trails, and walking paths. It's approximately a 40-minute drive from Saguenay, and it ranks among the most scenic drives. Expect occasional loss of phone signal, as I encountered on my way there and back. The park offers plenty of activities to enjoy. Once again, a heartfelt thanks to the three gentlemen. I genuinely appreciate your help.

The trail to Pic Grand Cormeau is not maintained properly, prepare your hiking boots for the mud. The view is amazing though.

We loved our stay at the Vargas Dome. We were on a snowmobile trip so it was nicely located by the trails. The room had everything for our stay and was beautifully designed, especially loved the heated floors:) The spa is at the bottom of the hill and I recommend their fondue and spa night. A shout-out to the all the staff at L'Eternel Spa, the bartender makes a mean cosmo, and Xavier our server went above and beyond to make our evening satisfying. A big thank you to Leslie the manager she was very welcoming and accommodating, making special arrangements for our late arrival. - Donna

The landscape is absolutely gorgeous, the configuration of the site is well thought of, the wooden fireplace in every cabine is a must 🔥 service at the Bistro was great! One of the best mojitos & cocktails I’ve had. Until next time 🧖🏼♀️ 🧖🏼♀️🥂

Beautiful spa. The winter landscape is peaceful and spectacular. The staff are very kind.
BUT bathrobes are not included in the price (even when you pay for massage and access to baths) and I find that was ridiculous. For the price they charge and having to bring your own bathrobe or pay an extra 18$ was hard to understand. The only bathrooms available are at the lowest level, in the change rooms... and the massage room is on the third floor, it was a pain having to go all this distance to use the washrooms. There are washroom upstairs but it's for "staff only".

Nice place to enjoy spa while admiring the view of Monts-Valin. The site is well equipped and offers a variety of sauna and
The only turn off for me is that people don’t respect the silence at all. They talk and laugh at loud and you can’t really relax and enjoy the silence of the nature. Another thing one off the bath tub had greasy dirt on the contour.
So overall good experience but there is place for improvement

The best place ever! Awesome view, beautiful baths, very relaxing... but there was a lot of noisy children when I got there, but its okay because there is isolated baths so you can be alone!!

Love the place !
Beautiful snow, no ice on the pistes, there is few black pistes along with few sous bois. They have a lot of trails for the walking - raquette or ski
The only down point for me is constant noise of the motoneige , day and night all along …😔. I know its fun for some ppl, but should be maybe regulated by hours.

The only ski location in Lac Saint Jean that has only 100% real snow. The mountain is clean. The resort is modern. The staff is super nice. Especially to kids. There is a lady at the cafeteria that always makes something special for my son. He loves it. If the lineups gets too big they will open a second chairlift. They have people to control the lineups as well to ensure maximum efficiency.
Overall, a great mountain! Lots to do other than ski (rent a cool box, chalet, skidoo, snowshoeing)
JD Tremblay — Google review
Really nice mountain with 100% natural snow. The north-west side of the mountain is usually better if you like more of a challenge and more powder. If you have less experiences you would prefer to stay on the main side. Lots of nice slopes for beginner and intermediate.
Alexandre Fortin — Google review
Great mountain to ski, a server in the bar was horrible though for one of our days. She spent too much time sitting with her back to everyone chatting with her friends. We had to walk up to her anytime we needed anything. The other servers the other days were very friendly and attentive.

We really enjoyed our visit. The guide, Monique, was excellent: friendly & informative. She told us fascinating facts about plant and herbal remedies. We spent a most enjoyable afternoon, walking and going canoeing on the lake. And then we saw a bear in its natural habitat!! Really worth the trip :)

we did the Le Canyon trail for 3km it was worth the walk and getting a scenic view of the cascade. you have good rest stops in between as well to enjoy the sound of water and breathe in the fresh air. It's 6$ per person for access.

We mountain biked. The classification of the trails is completely wrong. The intermediate trails would be at least black diamond anywhere else and the beginner trails were challenging. It's also a little bit wild. That being said there were some fun parts. The falls and the river are quite beautiful as well. It's worth the 4$ entry fee.

Super nice place! This park has easy trails (family friendly) and has some more difficult trails (but still doable for someone with little physical strength). Very clean and easy to walk. Beautiful in every season!

We had a short time here as it’s the end of the day. We did the 2.3 chemin des champs hike, which didn’t lead us to the water. If we redo it again, we would choose the 1.5 chemin des rapides or 3.6 chemin des chutes hike. During our hike, we run into so many dogs and families, seems like people in the area really enjoying this park! Clean washrooms.

Beautiful small park and museum which records the flood tragedy that happened in 1996. The whole area is wonderfully maintained. There is a magnificent church adjacent and access to the pulp mill museum also in the same area. Lots of photo opportunities. There is a local hotel for refreshments. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice section of Chicoutimi to walk in. The house serves as a symbol of the Saguenay floods. It's set up as a park to represent the events.
Gavin Doyle — Google review
Very cute museum, been wanting to go and finally did. It is an interesting part of the history of the flood in 1996. It is not to expensive, and definitely something to go see if you're in the area. You also get this automatic machine that you put in numbers, put it up to your ear and it tells you about that specific display you are looking at. It comes in both languages French and English.

Part of the historical tour of the area. Bus tour guided provided detailed overview of the park and the flood of 1996.
La Pulperie de Chicoutimi is a gem in Canada/Quebec's history. What an amazing story of ingenuity, brutally hard work, risk (physically and financially), justice/injustice (on the part of the efforts of the Catholic Church on behalf of the labor force), technology and "development"! This is a story which should be taught in the public schools of Canada. There is so much to learn here! I would strongly encourage that the indigenous story of short lived effort be included since I felt it was given superficial attention.

Informative tour. One of the main displays was shutdown for renovations. We were given a 25% discount on the entrance fee because of that. It is a very picturesque area. Staff very helpful and extremely friendly.

Very interesting museum and outdoor walking paths around the old pulp mill! We learned a lot and we’re grateful that the signage was in French and English!
Victoria Campbell — Google review
Have to say that they have a bit of a ways to go when it comes to general customer relations. The failure to clear the snow made it nearly impossible to enter the museum and when we did find a door. We were somewhat intercepted by a woman who said no fewer than four times that we must pay. Of course we must pay. Not a good start to the experience.
The signage leading to the parking is not clear. The large wooden staircase is not clear if snow.
We entered through the Ombudsman office upstairs. Took the elevator to the lower floor.
Then, were met officiously by the woman who was fixated on the fee.
We left. But, we were not able to climb the stairs to our car so I reentered the building but the elevator was cardlock.

Vast and informative Museum just outside of downtown Saguenay. A great place to learn more about the local history. Plenty of photo opportunities. Free parking. There's a fee to enter the museum, but there's plenty to explore without having to go inside. Easily accessible. Make sure to walk down to the bridge on the way in for the classic Instagram shot.

The most interesting part is the pulp process and history of the place. However the rest (exhibitions) is not really interesting both for adults and kids...
I would suggest to go in summer as you can visit the whole exterior site where in winter it's only the museum and nothing else.

This museum made the life of the workers at the pulp mill feel very relatable. That was a very valuable and interesting experience. I also enjoyed the clothing exhibit and the artists house display.

Very interactive and interactive staff. A wide variety of animals. The petting zoo is especially fun.
Joshua Ching (Josh) — Google review
This is an experience that you won't find anywhere else. The proximity with the animal is something that will mark you for life. I would suggest to use one of the guide to go around the park. It is a refuge created by a veterinarian so all the animal are released when they can or kept if they don't have a choice.
If you're lucky ask to feed the babies around noon at the nursery ;)

Nice zoo. Good for the price. Very few resting places between the cages, so very tiring. Completely local zoo. It is good just for the price (17$) and the fact that you can hug baby animals. I suggest Zoo Granby for a better experience.

It is great for kids to interact and feed some barn animals however for the more exotic animals tigers, bears lions etc their enclosure are so so small and it is sad to see. The smell was awful when walking past the lynx as their raw meat was left there for hours in the heat growing mold and bugs. Really felt sorry for the anumals
