Absolutely blown away with the helpfulness and friendliness from staff. Presentations were informative, kids loved having a hold of the snakes. All enclosures are clean and tidy. Such a wonderful morning out making life long memories for the kids.

This place is an absolute gem! What a lovely way to break up the drive from Rocky. Well worth a stop! My kids got to touch a beautiful python and baby alligator! Staff are great, super friendly, great variety of beautiful animals. We will definitely be dropping back in again next time we're passing by.
Michelle Juerschik — Google review
Visited as a family and thoroughly enjoyed our day. The park is clean and tidy, while all the animals appear content and in good health.
The individual presentations and animal handling sessions were great; very informative, entertaining and thrilling even for my big kids.
We all departed with a separate, unique highlight of the day, ranging from the tortoises and meerkats through to, for me, the 15 cuddly minutes I spent with the friendliest and most affectionate emu I have ever met!
Overall, Snakes Downunder is a great business, filled with knowledgeable, friendly staff and, best of all, a myriad of wild and wonderful animals to behold. Treat yourself to an affordable family day out and support this special establishment.

Great little park for my family, especially my reptile loving boy. He loved getting super close to the animals - something that not all Paul's can offer. Very friendly staff. Had a fun afternoon!!
Nicky Rose — Google review
Absolutely love this place! The snakes they have on display are so active and beautiful, and the snake shows they put on are interesting and you can tell they care for the animals. We also thoroughly enjoyed the crock show and how quirky they are

Great visit, the keepers and volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable and great with kids. They took the time to share information and answer questions and share tips and tricks. Great experience all round and would highly recommend taking advantage of all the shows and the animal encounter options.

Really enjoyed our visit here. We could see all the animals easily and the lizards were obviously happy. A very neat clean park. Highly recommend a visit.

We visited on the way through town on a road trip. Great snake show and all in all great presentations. The park is a good size for a few hours relaxed outing. Plenty of diverse animals to see for a good price. Cafe serves hot pies and sausage rolls which were a winner on the rainy day. Free umbrellas were provided and there were covered areas. Staff were kind and knowledgeable.

Nice place to visit. Not plenty to see, but well worth the entry price.
Closed Wednesdays.

A fabulous park. Talks about snakes + you can get photos with koalas. The Komodo Dragon is beautiful & the Meerkats are super cute.

Lovely little surprise! We decided to stop in on our way back to Brisbane from Bundy and it was there on the side of the road. Not big by any means but a lovely way to spend an hr or 2. Tidy and well put together. We saw a dangerous snake demonstration, crocodiles, kangaroos, emu, koalas and a Komodo dragon! Highly recommend!

I had an AMAZING time here last weekend. The keepers were all so knowledgeable about the animals, and were very safe and organised when letting visitors handle the reptiles. The park has so many different animals, it kept us busy for the whole day! I took my camera and managed to get loads of photos that I’m really happy with!!! Would definitely recommend a visit for anyone nearby! - @kirsttravelss x

Highly recommended. Immaculate grounds and the animals are beautiful and appear to be well cared for. We did the Meerkat experience with my 4 year old and he absolutely loved it. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly especially the young fellas are great with the kids.

Visited this park in 2009 and had an unforgettable time with the kids, and passing back through today visited again and had just as much fun by ourselves. The staff here are so passionate and informative. Attentive and patient to any questions. The cages and enclosures are the cleanest, with clean, fresh water and foliage. Great experience, I just hope one day I maybe passing by again.
We loved our visit to flying high bird park, there was so many different beautiful birds to see. Enjoyed taking our time in each area, feeding the birds and taking photos. As the park grows and has larger numbers of visitors, I imagine it would be beneficial to have roaming staff to keep a closer watch on visitors and the beautiful animals. However I can understand this would add to running costs. We were ready for our tasty toasties and coffee at the cafe, which is a great spot to stop and relax after all that walking! Looking forward to our next visit

What an amazing place to visit! Highlights were the parrots, deers, pony and llamas 😍 $20 per adult, short drive from Bundy, great family time, lots of laughs had - doesn't get much better 😊 Will definitely be returning!
Be aware...ostrichs eat small paper bags whole 😳

It's a good, not so little, bird park!
They have the bird food to feed the birds if you'd like, otherwise they are very friendly and fly over to you, depending what you have on you may be more interesting (my earrings were favourites). They also have the walk go through to some farm animals, which is neat!
It is a bird park, so I think mice/rats in the bird cages are common, tidy in the front reception area. Friendly staff serving!
Erica — Google review
My sister and her family and I and my hubby had a great time visiting together. I especially enjoyed the dinosaur bird snapping the food from my hand. All the birds are just beautiful to see. The seers and buck is a great addition to see also. They were too interested in us unless we had food lol.
And the upgrade from we the years is amazing in comparison.
My niece And nephew thought the pin f was the best but and wanted to take him home. Tantrum slightly avoided as I said I’d buy them a milkshake if they shut up. Great day out
Kalico Taylor — Google review
I’m more concerned about the animals. In the park you have the option to go through a neon black light room, located near the steam punk statues. This room is full of fish, however I question their health. The fish were barley moving, most weren’t moving at all. The fish seemed to be gold fish. It’s not normal for fish to be still for so long. It could be for a number of health reasons, stress, or the environment. It could also be that the fish are just sleeping however even their tails weren’t moving.
When talking to the woman at the ticket office about them, she said They do that a lot and She’ll send the boys down to have a look at them.
Their tanks were completely empty too, no information sign to say what fish they were. I’m not a fish expert but I definitely think these fish deserve more attention. If they’re neglecting the fish, I worry about how they treat the other animals.
If this is normal and I’ve misunderstood the situation I’ll be happy to change my review.

This place is a lot bigger than I thought it would be! Lots to see. Unfortunately, we went in the middle of a very hot day so a lot of the animals were sleeping in the shade and not interested in the animal feed. The grounds are quite nice so it's a shame that the conditions of the animal pens/cages seemed a little run down, maybe because it is for sale currently.
Harriet Clark — Google review
A very reasonably priced attraction with lots to see. The young lady at reception was simply a genuinely happy person who clearly loves her job. The souvenir and gift shop was reasonably priced as was the cafe. We really enjoyed this place and the bird life and animals were beautiful.
David Kerle — Google review
We visited the park today. We had such a great morning. The animals are beautiful and happy. The staff were informative and polite. We all have different favourites in the park, but personally I loved the deer, Thunder the pony, and the goats 🥰 My only suggestion to anyone visiting is definetly take water with you as you walk through if you're visiting in Summer. It's mostly shaded which is amazing, but still very hot during our Queensland Summer, and by the time we got to the end we were very hot and thirsty! Visit this place, it's lovely 😊
Vip Pilla — Google review
Loved it. There is a variety of birds to watch. Kids enjoyed feeling birds and other animals.
Ishanie Perera — Google review
Great place for something to do! Plenty of animals to look at and explore. Some areas are probably a little too small for such animals though. Definitely get there early if you want a good park.

We visited the bird park on Monday. We took our 4 grandchildren and they had a good time over the 2 hours we were there. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic little gem of a place. Very please with everything and the birds are amazingly friendly. Alot of different animals too.

Reading the reviews wasn't good but we still went. It's well worth it the stop. Birds really friendly and are looking for a feed. Just buy lots of feed for the animals before going in. Really large range of souvenirs that's on par for pricing around Australia.

Situated alongside a river, Queen's Park is a well-maintained botanical garden featuring flower beds, lush lawns, and tall trees that provide shade. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere and marvel at the waterfall. Additionally, there are historical sites like the Memorial Park and Museum that offer great opportunities for exploration or picnics. Although the park was affected by recent floods in February, it has since been restored to its tranquil state thanks to exceptional efforts by council officials.
Very quiet and clean town. Lot to see, the Queen Park and The memorial park is amazingly well looked after, perfect place to just walk through and picnic. AND go to the memorial museum, its really good! Highly recommend it! 👌

Gorgeous little spot of land in Maryborough with well manicured grass and gardens, seating areas, river viewing, toilets and even a miniature train that you can take a ride on with the kids (covered in shoes required, however they do have spare Crocs available).

Stopped in Maryborough randomly on a drive. We stopped at the shop to get some food and then found this park to sit and eat. Kids ran around, seemed well maintained. Right on the river. Like the musical features there too. Kids loved it. Nice spot.

Fantastic park with a huge open grassland space, several walking tracks and lots of statues commemorating those who fought in the war. Very well maintained area and a beautiful war memorial towards the main road. Lovely views over the river too and beautiful for walking. Dogs are allowed on leash and there were plenty of shaded areas under the trees too. Would highly recommend visiting here for a picnic or a short walk.

It's a small but beautiful park adjacent historical buildings in older streets of Maryborough. Lots of cool shady trees and views of the river.

This is a great park with very well maintained plants. It's great for a lunch time walk to enjoy the scenery. There is a nice historical railway track that runs through, but no trains actually around.
Howard Fan — Google review
A beautiful park with some very old trees that are well worth a look, There is an Anzac memorial that just touches your heart, not least the last stone…
A bit of a rocky entrance, but the kangaroo and emu are great. Easy to hand feed, especially the emu.
Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk with.

Absolutely amazing place to visit. Very quiet here too (we went on Friday morning). Was nice to see all the animals very relaxed and enjoying themselves. They went at their own pace and didn't look stressed and weren't hassled by anyone, came up to you by themselves if they were curious whilst others sat in the shade. They have a reptiles section as well with some snakes and lizards! Highly recommend stopping here if you get the chance. Great value for money!
Thomas Hughes — Google review
Good place to take the family, friendly and well- looked after animals, many of whom are rescued and some vibrant personalities, especially among the large parrots, who were an absolute delight. Many exhibits closed and clearly in need of some TLC, hence four stars, but the volunteers do a great job maintaining the place with limited resources. Wish this place got funding instead of other places such as water parks, but I guess they're alright too.

I love zoos or wildlife parks that put their money back into the animals welfare. This place was run by volunteers. Looking after birds or other animals that simply could not survive in the wild. One legged and one winged Galah's. A beautiful old Wedge Tail Eagle, Winston. Only there because a human in a car hit him. So pls take time to drop in.

We just visited the sanctuary with the kids (11&13) we loved being able to approach and feed the kangaroos. Watch the Dingos, birds and check out the reptiles.

I love zoos run by hard working volunteers . How can they not be worth 5 stars ? Looking after sick or injured animals , that otherwise would not survive. Worthy of my support every time. It's a little tired, it needs more funds . So get along and support it
See the wonderful one winged Eagle . There are better Zoos around but not with such heart .

We went here during the easter school holidays recently and the experience was lovely overall. From the welcome by reception, to all the amazing animals which you could tell were really looked after, all enclosures were clean, plenty of water and food for them and everyone enjoyed feeding and petting the roo's once they warmed up to us. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're In the area. Keep up the good work 😊

Cheap to get in. Small park but kept well. I paid to hold a snake. The man was fantastic and clearly loved his job. He was great with my nephew. Will visit again. The dingoes were cute and very fat. Lots of birds. Plenty of kangaroos and wallabies to feed too.

Well definitely a lot better than i was expecting. Friendly and funny animals who are well looked after. Some small cages but are just right small you know.
Very friendly struff who will talk about the animals and how they got there.
So basically it's pretty good wildfire sanctuary.

The staff members there were so friendly , taking my grandson on a first hand feeding experience. He had a ball.
Known for its "moonscape" appearance, this popular sandy area features cliffside views & recreation.
It's a short walk from Cooloola Drive to The Sand Blow. There are some steps to climb and uneven ground but it's not too difficult to make it to the sand blow viewing platform. From there you can look out to the ocean although you get better views if you walk out to the edge of the cliffs on the left. To the left there are also suitable spots to sand board. As you look out and walk over the spot you'll see that the sand is a mix of different colours and quite pretty. Note that it is a little more difficult walking on sand, so keep this in mind if you decide to walk down.
Ness Fez — Google review
This a great place to view sunrise or sunset. The view is stunning. It's also the start of the great walk. The carpark is not very big so get here early if you want a spot during the popular times. Kids will enjoy sliding down the dune on boogie board. Walking back up the sand is a good workout
Michael Jones — Google review
The unspoilt Carlo Sand Blow is one of the gems of Rainbow Beach. Less than 1km easy walk leads you to this beautiful sand haven where you can catch a gorgeous sunset view. There is a deck at the end of the walk to be able to leave your shoes (just be careful stepping off the deck as I managed to slice my foot on a rock, and it is quite a bit step down). Also, make sure you get there with good time for sunset, and have a torch to walk back as the path is quite dark on the return. Do not miss walking up here - and if you're on foot, be prepared for quite a steep hill on the road up to the sand blow along Cooloola Drive.
Niamh Hills — Google review
Awesome view of sand dune , one side oceans 🌊 and other is hill. One of the nicest place to enjoy sunset 🌅. Take your body board for sand sliding. 500~600 meter from car park , easy walk with stairs.

One of the must visit tourist attractions in Mission Beach. I visited mission beach without any planning and didt know this place until I asked the receptionist.
You will be enter from the cooloola great walk trail and take about 20mins to get there
When I arrived I was amazed by the wonder of this place, a sand hill all the way down to the sea.
You can see a lot of people paragliding there but from the notice board that you will be required to do so.
Overall, I'm impressed with this place
Neo — Google review
Amazing how wide an area of sand the place really is. If you walk closer to the ocean you can see the paragliders take off too. Not far from the car park at the top of the hill, some steps mean it is not that pram friendly but can be done as they are not long.
Eugene Foo — Google review
Easy walk of 600 m to see this unusual sand scrape. Would work a great on a windy day. Ours was a wet time.
Terry Davis — Google review
This is definitely a must do! The sand was lovely, a nice walk to it and views all around. If you go to the bottom it is a hilarious walk back up the hill in the sand 😂

Quite spectacular! Don't just stay on the deck/platform... get down to the cliffs (not too close😜). Absolutely amazing views, and incredible colours & patterns in the sand. Ever-changing!

Wow! Definitely one to experience. Please bear in mind that the sand blow is a walk away with over a dozen steps along the way. The marked spot is just the car park.
Mike “Michael” Dawson — Google review
It was and astonishing experience. We enjoyed sand boarding. And the view from the cliff was marvellous, we spent whole morning playing with different colours of sand while sitting in front of the amazing ocean water.
Andy — Google review
Amazing. Love this location at sunset, and it can get quite busy here with people coming to have a drink and watch the sun set! Fun to boogie board down the sand dunes and wander around, see the water and beach below. It's a short walk from the carpark through the bush (300ish metres or so, maybe?) with some stairs along the way. Love this spot!
Annika Michelle — Google review
Beautiful, recommended to everyone heading to rainbow beach.make sure you visit early in the morning and late in the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful view of carlo.the sand is super duper hot in summer time so make sure wear a tongs or shoes.
Scarlette Acoba — Google review
Absolutely magical experience we went for sunset which I just would highly recommend I have never seen views like it. From where you park your car, you do have to walk up quite lot of stairs and not so flat surfaces as someone with mobility issues I did struggle at times only due to the length of time it takes. An Australian 5 minutes is more like 10 to 15 minutes. The stairs are not steep but as I have chronic nerve pain so walking can be difficult at times i did find all the uneven surfaces and walking up a hill difficult. The views were worth it though. On our return we had to walk in the dark luckily we all had phones so we used the torches so be mindful of that when you go to see the sunset. But if you go to Rainbow beach this is a must!
We had a great experience feeding the wild dolphins. We were lucky to have a Mum and baby come in too. $10 a fish to feed the dolphins. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and gave a very informative talk whilst waiting for the dolphins to arrive. It's a very well run procedure and all the volunteers work well to make this a unique experience. My only suggestion would be to try and repair the small ramp that goes to the beach so the elderly and disabled area little safer. The Cafe was well run & pancakes were delicious.
Margaret Jaques — Google review
We had an amazing time here, staff and volunteers are just amazing and bubbly. Unfortunately we didn't eat here but the food looked good. We attended the dolphin feeding and even got up close to feed them, wow so much knowledge was given about these beautiful creatures. No pets aloud as its inside the establishment.

Awesome experience feeding dolphins here. There are limited spots and it costs $10 per person. Come early to make sure you get a spot. Also, there is heaps of parking nearby. Once you get a token, you’re definitely going to get the opportunity to feed the dolphins as they only provide enough tokens- so you don’t need to be scared or rushed! The staff are all very friendly and courteous; they educate you about the history of the place and the dolphins’ names and lives, then they also make sure you are comfortable and safe during the feeding!

Great to watch and feed the dolphins. $10 to enter which includes a fish to feed the dolphins. We arrived at 6:30am and were second in line. Gates open at 7:00 feeding started around 8:00. The hosts give lots of info about the dolphins while you wait. Excellent

I did the dolphin experience here. It was the highlight of my holiday. Very orderly and well run considering the number of people. Wonderful volunteers who are knowledgeable and friendly. Best $10 I've ever spent!

Feeding the dolphins was a great experience. All the volunteers were very informative and lovely to talk to. The cafe staff and food were nice. I do think there should be a much wider cement path for the safety of all the visitors to pass to and fro from the feeding area. And especially on a busy day (ours was apparently quiet) it definitely warrants another toilet.

Noosa National Park is a large and picturesque area that offers a variety of outdoor activities such as mountain summit walks, coastal trails, wildlife viewing, and swimming opportunities. It boasts magnificent views of the coast, including the chance to spot dolphins. The park can be reached via a beautiful boardwalk along the coastline from town. At the entrance, visitors can find free walking maps and information on koala sightings at the Noosa National Park Information Centre.
This place is more beautiful than they seem in photos. Trekking route is mostly covered by trees. You can stop and enjoy good views in many spots.
I am so sad that I could not see most of the park because I could not park my car. Hours wasted... I see from the reviews that this is the case almost for all weekends. So, if you visit here at the weekend you should arrive before 8am in the morning. Or park your car far, take a bus/uber.
Ali Furkan — Google review
Gorgeous national park and one of the most easily accessed walk ways into the park itself. Recommend coming here early in the morning for the sunrise and to avoid the crowds. Beware the other holiday makers that will crowd the car park up. The beaches are gorgeous, if a little flat, so they're perfect for families or individuals who aren't interested in pushing themselves too hard. No flag or lifesavers so it's best to play it safe
D. Lundy — Google review
Noosa National Park on Queensland's Sunshine Coast is a coastal paradise that captivates visitors with its natural beauty. My friend and I use the coastal route and we are satisfied with our decision. This is the recommended route because most of the walkways are even and cost least energy to travel (except the Sunshine beach, Alexandria Bay and some paths have stairs) but still can enjoy picturesque beaches, scenic walking trails, and breathtaking ocean views. The coastal track offers panoramic vistas and chances to spot dolphins and whales (but really rare, I don't have a chance to see them but hear their sound from a distance near Dolphin Point). The park's interior trails showcase diverse flora, fauna, and iconic landmarks like Hell's Gates. Well-maintained facilities and knowledgeable staff enhance the experience. People can still choose to experience Tanglewood walk and Hill walk but remember to follow the instructions along the way, do not walk alone and bring enough water with you. Be mindful of crowds by visiting on weekdays or arriving early as well. Noosa National Park is an enchanting destination for nature enthusiasts and have a great trip!

Magnificent views with 5 excellent walks of varying lengths. Parking can be tricky as the car park fills fast and early (by 9am). There is also street parking for about 30 cars but it's 2 hours so you need to be mindful of that. Having said that most walks/trails can be easily completed under 2 hours.
The coastal walk to Hell's gate is brilliant as is Alexandria beach. There is also a very small trail right at the entrance of just over 1 klms but it's brilliant also. We did 4 out of the five walks in 2 days followed by an hour or two cooling off at Noosa Beach. The water was 26 Celsius...
There is also adequate toilet facilities at the entrance and all walks are well signed. Enjoy.

An incredibly beautiful National park in the heart of Noosa. Absolutely stunning coastal views from all vantage points, and a walk for all fitness levels. I took the no.5 route to make the most of the coastal views, which was around 10.5km or good quality walking tracks.

Stunning national Park, great access to amenities where required along the various tracks. The beaches were stunning and there were lots of surfers out there doing their thing.
The full coastal walk was amazing and I'd highly recommend it 👍

Great national park, well preserved and a nice view. Some cliffs are perfect to look for whales, turtles, dolphins, rays, among other marine animals. We also found echidnas walking around and very close to nice beaches to go for a swim. Longest trail is around 10km both ways

A beautiful national park with good walking trails seeing fabulous views. Wear polaroid glasses for better viewing. We were able to see turtles swimming and a pod of dolphins. Definately recommend walking the trail and wear swimmers so you can swim at one of the beaches if you like. There is a dog beach on the southern end of the park at Sunshine Beach. All the rain bought small waterfalls 😄

Beautiful beach, great surfer place and even better a bush walking just close. Noosa Heads National Park has everything you need for’ family fun.

It feels wild to give this wonderful national park a star rating - as it is a six star just for the nature itself! An easy walk but can get hot. Pack water, go early to get parking.
WelL maintained and busy. Good for a walk, decent for a run. Super early mornings are my favourite

Small but beautiful National Park only minutes walk from the town centre of Noosa. Constructed board walk makes access easy for all ages to enjoy the serenity and stunning scenery. Don't forget to keep looking high into the treetops for the ever elusive koalas.

The Noosa National Park is absolutely gorgeous. The coastal walk offers such incredible views of the ocean and hidden coves along the shoreline. I definitely recommend doing the walk if you visit Noosa. It takes around 2 hours each way and does get at little rocky and unstable towards the Sunshine Beach end. But it is totally worth it.

Such a beautiful national park, the water is so clear and it's in turquoise colour. There're a lot of different walks to choose from but personally I think the coastal walk is the best. You can spot some whales during the migration season. There's also a fairy pool here, which is pretty cool, bring a swimwear if you'd like to do a dip! Definitely child friendly but dogs are not allowed here. Public restrooms are available. There's an information centre at the start of the walk. Parking can be hard to find if you come late.

The Noosa National Park walk/hike turned out to be a fantastic experience. With several trail options to choose from, I had the luxury of exploring the park in very pleasant weather. The symphony of bird songs accompanied me along the way, creating a soothing atmosphere.
To my delight, luck was on my side as I spotted a kangaroo during my walk. While I wasn't able to capture a photo, the memory remains vivid. If you're planning a visit to Noosa, the Noosa National Park walk/hike is a must-include item in your itinerary. It's an experience that showcases the park's natural beauty and wildlife, making it a perfect addition to your bucket list.

Had a lovely stroll through this national park. The car park gets quite busy. This was our third day attempting to visit the national park (due to parking difficulties). Lots of camper vans when we arrived at 6.30am however we were able to get a parking spot this time which was great. National park was very busy even this early in the morning. Lots of people running and walking, often had to move out of the way. Overall a nice morning out

Bring sufficient water if on a hot day! I walked from Sunshine beach to Noosa heads and only saw 1 water station over 10+km! Breathtaking views

What a beautiful national park. Multiple walking trails with amazing views. If you are looking for an active activity to do with the family, I would highly recommend a visit here. Lots of places to stop along the walk including secluded beaches, fairy rock pools and viewing docks. Making it to the peak at Hell's gate is well worth the trek. Be warned, it gets busy so if you can walk here instead of drive that is definitely the better option as finding a car park after 9am will be hard.

The walking trails are great but I wish we could of downloaded them prior to going so that we knew what we were really in for (appreciate this might exist already but didn’t fond it easily).
Anyway, this is certainly worth doing if you can appreciate a good view and some natural beauty. Pack enough water and maybe a snack!

Excellent walking tracks, spectacular views and fantastic swimming and surf beaches.
Only downside is that it can get quite busy on the trails and parking is difficult in peak times.

Wonderful place. I loved this Noosa National Park a lot. Walking around the forest and ocean road. There are some routes, I choose the two route - Tanglewood and it took around three hours.
The best beach ever. The water is crystal clear, fish are swimming around your feet.
Easy to spend a day here.

Beuatiful beach. If you drive right to the end of Hastings Street and park in the second parking section, you will be able to find trees to use as shade, which are only meters from the surf

Awesome beach! Very active surf club, safe place to swim between flags 365 days of the year! There is a board walk you can leisurely stroll to nearby parks. Main street nearby, so easy to grab a bite to eat. To the right is another walk to the national park. To the left is walk to dog park and the lighthouse. All these paths are paved! Beach waves are small, so makes for a relaxing swim :) highly recommend

The famous shopping street Hastings Street in Noosa is a popular destination for dining, nightlife, and resorts. It's located on the beachfront and lined with boutique shops, restaurants, and bars. Many establishments are wheelchair accessible, making it an ideal spot for all types of visitors.
Great shopping street one block off the beach. There are two free parking lots and one paid parking lot two blocks off the beach.

Hastings Street is at the heart of Noosa retail, restaurants, beach and Nat Park. There are a plehora of eateries and upmarket retail and it's easy to combine time on the beach with a stroll down Hastings Street before choosing a place for lunch or dinner.
It's often very busy, and while there's parking on the street, there are two good sized free public car parks adjacent Noosa Drive just near the corner of Hastings Street and Noosa Drive. Midday is busy and parking can be tricky but earlier morning or evening its very accessible.

Many nice and beautiful shops adorning the streets left and right. Plenty of parking areas. There's a number of eateries like restaurant and food court along the street. Plenty of seats too. Nice ambience and clean area. The shops sell stuff a bit on the high side probably because a lot of landed properties surrounding the area. Good vibes though.

One of my favourite places in Australia. Something special about this street.
It can be pricey, and it's also full of yuppies, but it's always kind of been like that.
Lots of nice boutique shops, as well as access to one of the nicest busy beaches in Australia. There are very nice boardwalks nearby too!

We travelled on The Rattler yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and lunch at the Rusty Rails Cafe on our return. We travelled through some beautiful scenery and enjoyed the quirks of steam train travel. The destination at Amamoor would be perfect for a picnic lunch. Would recommend the trip.

Great experience for young and old. Locomotive and passenger carriages have been lovingly restored. Very helpful volunteers staffed the train. Interesting commentary during the trip. Orders for lunches taken before the train ride started. Well organised. One of our party had a fall, and the well-trained staff did everything possible to make her journey safe and comfortable.

We did the Spooky Train ride and the kids LOVED IT! Such a great atmosphere, the characters were AMAZING! They really brought the train to life with their personalities, their interactions with passengers. Food was delicious, really enjoyed the pasta and the kids love their lunch boxes they get to take home. Definitely going to do another train ride and have already booked it! See you all again. Thank you everyone who made the train ride an AWESOME experience for my kids and myself. Everyone made us feel very welcomed from the moment we arrived at the station to the moment we left. The crew are very friendly.

Well we loved it, what a great day the service was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and engaging. The train ride was excellent, very peaceful and relaxing. We did not order from the cafe, would have been good to know there was food available on the train to purchase, I didn't see this anywhere on the website, maybe I missed it?
We had a booking for 4 but my parents car broke down and couldn't make it, I received a credit on the day which I was very happy about, thank you.
I would highly recommend; it was such a lovely experience.

Chose spontaneously to board this train when visiting friends in Gympie. The train station is beautiful with all amenities including a cafe that offers a great menu. Food looked fabulous and unfortunately we didn't have time to eat here.
Purchasing tickets and getting on board was easy and staff were very helpful.
Great to sit on a train with comfortable, padded seats, having windows down and hearing the whistle!
Stops at a few places for 'change of staff- and then arrive at Amamoor where the train gets turned around on the turnstiles for return journey home.
While waiting, there are toilets, few ladies hold a 'market' where you can purchase home made items, a local shop to purchase sandwiches/coffee etc etc.
Enjoyable ride and volunteer staff are friendly.
They do stick to a rigid time table, so don't be late.

Yesterday I did the Silver Bullet high tea experience with a friend. It was so special and an trip I'd highly recommend. The Mary Valley Rattler team are truly wonderful and so passionate about what they do. The food was amazing. Beautifully presented with a great selection of savoury and sweet. Bottomless coffee and tea with a sparkling and take away MVR glass makes it exceptional value.
The train travels through the Gympie countryside to the quaint little Dagun station. It's a lovingly restored station with book exchange and stands set-up for liqueur tastings (not available Friday, but it did make me want to come back). There are also beautiful timber picnic tables with seats for sale .
Spoiler Alert - the chocolate dipped strawberries on the way back from Dagun were AMAZING! In fact, the best I've ever eaten!
Thank you to everyone for such a special morning and the great work you do.

We had a lovely day on the Rattler last weekend. Riding the rails in an old style carriage with the windows open and the smell of the engine was a fun experience. Along the way we were given some interesting facts about the train and the area we were travelling through via the pa system and our attendant. At the end of the line there were little market stalls with locals selling their handmade wares, a wine and cheese tasting, and an older gentleman entertaining the crowd with his guitar. The menu was ok, not a great selection for the mains and they were both hot dishes. The desserts were nicely presented and tasty. Overall I probably would have been happier with sandwiches and scones with jam and cream. It's a good day out for families, train enthusiasts and those who just want to slow down and enjoy a trip through the countryside.

Great experience! We appreciated the trip on the beautifully and detailed restored steam train a lot! Those wooden cars with them old red comfy seat benches made all the difference. Hopping in the driver cabin of the locomotive, getting everything explained by the proud experienced driver was amazing!

We travelled on the Mary Rattler on Sunday and chose the Gold Class experience. The trip was fantastic with the wind gently blowing though the train windows as we journeyed through the countryside. The sound of the train and smell of the coal was really cool.. We had a cheese and nibble platter and a glass of bubbles as part of the package. Our host Marilyn was fabulous, chatted to us and ensured we had a great time. Definately recommend.

For steam train enthusiasts, this was very enjoyable. We went on the top package, which was travel in the "club car" with an excellent mid morning snack & cold drinks. The attendant was very attentive & knowledgeable. At the end of the line, the train went onto the working turntable, which was a treat to see. Only negative for me was the scenery wasn't over exciting, but the train & the stations were well worth it. The package we had included lunch after.

We had a very enjoyable day on the Mary Valley Rattler, from Gympie to Amamoor the train takes a route along the Mary River and through local countryside. The staff from Engineer to Conductor are very engaging and informative about the history of this classic steam-powered train and the surrounding region. Highlight was the turntable at the Amamoor end of the trip and a chance to stand with the engineer at the firebox of the coal-driven steam locomotive.

A magnificent day on the Mary Valley Rattler.
The volunteers do an incredible job in maintaining and running this lovely old steam train.
The scenery from the train is stunning and at Amamoor and Dagun (Sunday only) they had good food, local entertainment and lovely country hospitality.
Such a lovely trip which we had booked before covid and finally got to enjoy.

Outstanding experience. We chose to celebrate some birthdays with a High Tea on the Silver Bullet from the Gympie Railway Station to Dagun. A two and a half hour return trip. As a group of four we enjoyed outstanding service, generous food choices, beautiful scenery and a knowledgeable commentary. 1) steam train itself is cool! Also the station is very pretty
2) staffs are lovely!
3) it’s no scenery view about this route, you only look at peoples backyard
4) salami of the cheese platter is off, end up me and my husband had diarrhoea afterwards, it’s not fun
5) food was very average at the cafe, we thought the food we ordered with the train package would give us a on board dining experience but basically eat it after we finish the train ride, if we know the it’s the case, it’s no point to order the VIP package

The choice to book VIP was a good one. Very happy with the trip which included cheese platter and beverages. Lunch on return. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Amamoor was a lovely stop off with the engine rewind a highlight.

We used the Black Friday sale last yr for 2x half price regular tickets as Christmas gifts (because unfortunately the standard price is a bit outside of our budget at the moment) and had been wanting to do the Rattler for yrs. We used our passes recently on a Sunday and it was a fantastic day out! We booked fairly late so we were in the carriage with dogs but that was fine. Prior notice would be good though, not when we arrived but anyway! The trip was fantastic, the stops and activities were too, the service was friendly, we would suggest the team members doing the commentating obtain a little more speaking experience and confidence to make it easier for guests to listen to and follow but the information delivered was great. Would definitely return and bring some rellies of all ages who'd love it too. Oh, we didn't realise we could take food on board before we arrived, that's a nice bonus. Thanks for keeping this vintage and special train travel experience alive! 👏 Clint and Aimee 😊

We enjoyed a Sunday run on the Mary Valley Rattler in the VIP Club Car. What a fantastic day and wonderful historical experience. The Club Car was set-up beautifully with comfortable bucket chairs and a table, with a copy of the Gympie paper and a bottle of water each in a souvenir cooler. We were provided a drink of choice and a cheese platter on the journey. Stopped at Amamoor and watched the engine turn around then stopped at Dagun on the way back. Wonderful volunteers, music, games and stalls. On return to Gympie we enjoyed a two course lunch in the Rusty Rails Cafe and another drink of choice. We had a fabulous day and thought the VIP tickets were well worth the experience. So great to see how everyhing has been lovingly restored and a such a special piece of QLD history. Thank you!

Well, what a day! Fantastic experience, we loved every minute. All staffed by volunteers, we had the lovely Deb & Sherrie in our carriage, and they absolutely made the adventure even better!!! So much fun, and a good laugh! Great job girls!👍🏼
Be sure to check your days/dates, they don't run the steam engine every day.
Pack your own food, or buy from the cafe at either end of the journey. OR You can even order your lunch whilst on the train, and it will be waiting for you when you get back. We took this option, and the food was delicious! Packaged beautifully, we sat and ate it in the old station Cafe.
Heritage museum featuring artifacts related to the region's gold mining history & a cafe.
Was a very interesting visit. Lots of information for the various displays in the individual old buildings/houses. Lots of old artifacts with many donations by local families from the area. Got a personal tour of a new display in the works. Can pan for gold, which is a big part of the towns history. The Cafe was good for lunch, we had the special, pork rolls. Plenty of drinks to choose from, ice creams for the kids too. We spent about 2.5hrs looking around...there's a lot to look at for the history buffs. Well worth a visit.

A nice place to stop for a quick look around. There’s lots of vintage mining equipment, vehicles, and a gold panning area. Reasonable for an hour or two, but otherwise fairly limited. A small cafe on site, and a nice park nearby for a walk too.

A truely wonderful historical learning experience. A visit to this Museum shows the thousands of days/weeks of collating and organising the many, many detailed exhibits that community members have made to capture the historical formation of Gympie.
One could visit many times. Exhibits are housed in individual sheds of all types, houses of note, olde school buildings etc.
There are many pieces of heavy industry machinery, including gold mining and railway buildings and rail equipment.
There is a Gem Club with a sparkling display. Well kept lawns and gardens make a place of peace and serenity.
There is a cafe and facilities.
A affordable and modest entry fee helps funds the Centre.

This is a large museum with a wide range of items on display. Things were well laid out in order to give the viewer a good idea of usage. My partner and I are old enough to know what another of these were and even used a lot of them.
I marked you down as the 1 thing both of us were really keen to learn about, paning for gold had very little on it. The instructions were vague, and we really had no idea what we were doing or even what to look for. This is a practical skill and needs practical instruction. Something maybe that could be improved on.
Col Payn — Google review
Zero staff available, zero information provided and half the buildings were still closed due to 2022 floods. All the kids wanted to do was learn how to pan for gold but the two staff on were struggling to keep up with the 3 customers that wanted coffee and had no interest in museum customers. 100% self guided and there are a few things kids might be interested in but definitely not worth the $30 admission as you get absolutely nothing for it other than a walk around some old stuff.

What a seriously good collection of artifacts and information about the region. Well done Gympie for celebrating your achievements. Some great memories, which without this museum would be lost to us all. Of note was the wonderful story behind how the Australian Light Horse came to wear the emu feathers in their hats. Without a visit, wouldn't have known that. Keep up the good work and it is important that people keep donating to the collection to keep the towns rich history alive. The café is nice way to unwind before or after the museum. Was pleased we ordered the wedges and sandwich, both enjoyable and a decent portion size. Thanks ladies.

Really enjoyed the exposition covering a wide range of local history from the Gold Rush, Mining, Railway history, farming, schools, etc. Sad to see the museum seems to be heavily affected by the 2022 floods some exhibitions vanished (like the scouts or the model railway), some seem in dire need of upkeep (especially the ones on the lower section of the museum). Still, good job & good luck! 🤞

The cafe staff demonstrated questionable, poor food handling practices. The hygiene and food safety protocols should be checked by an inspector here some time.
Secondly, the woman serving wasn’t very friendly in her interactions with customers and the atmosphere felt unattractive and uncomfortable.

The Eumundi Market, Australia's largest and finest art and craft market, has been running twice a week since 1979. Located in the charming historic town of Eumundi, it showcases locally made arts and crafts alongside a delectable variety of street food. Quite a fan of the markets there was a lot to see and a bit of everything for everyone. Expected more fresh produce which there wasn't much of unless I completely missed it.
I did have some of the softest cinnamon donuts I've ever had. Dont eat breakfast before hand I wished I hadn't as there was a good assortment to choose from.
Decent amount of parking although you had to pay I think it was $7 once all the on-street free parking was full.

Surely one of the biggest market, if you are unable to purchase anything here, even then you will be going back with a lots of good experience.
The atmosphere here is very vibrant due to live music and people asking, inquiring about the things displayed all around.
Home decor is one area where one wish to have everything for own home.
There is a huge range of products on display for everyone like Home Decor, Shell art, clothing, food, leather and wall art etc just to name a few.
Parking is quite near to the entrance and I feel they charge heavily.
Well, this is a must visit place to get the feel of local market and products. Time spent very well, although feeling tired but enjoyed the experience.

I didn’t manage to see it all as it became a little repetitive after a while but well worth the visit.
Be prepared for the pile up of traffic on your way in, you will find a $9 car park very close to the entry / side of the market.
The live music gives it a real country / market vibe.
The atmosphere is very calm & relaxing.
If you like a slow stroll through the isles browsing through all the works of the unique artisans & their creations, you’ll love this market.
There is something for everyone.
Lots of food & drink stalls to stop at & savour the moment.
Big range of things to look at / purchase include
•jewellery
•wall art
•leather goods
•clothing
•candles
•hats
•soap
•shell art
Just to name a few 💵

Markets definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately two experiences left an unpleasant taste in mouth. The persons looking after the $7.00 parking need to work on their people skills plus more than some vendors were charging retail and above for products on sale.
This is not to say some great products and food were uncovered. Over all the markets are worth a trip.

We love to visit Eumundi markets on the weekend. There is an amazing dim sim stall called “pop’s” that we frequent every time we go. We also love the vegan cupcakes that are available bi-weekly, although the name of the stall evades me. The overall vibe of the market is super chill, and while some things stay the same, there always seems to be new things popping up to keep it interesting.

The best market I've been to. Such a wide range of quality products. The best range of food that I've seen anywhere, was so hard to choose what to eat. Finally found my favourite drink, raw natural sugar cane juice I was in my element. The young man singing was super talented and made a welcoming relief to sit in the shade and listen to him perform. Looking forward to returning to this fabulous market.

Easter holidays, so a lovely autumn coolish day at markets , the parking was an issue but thankfully after waiting 15 minutes for turn off , car parking angel 😇 arrived . Markets had been open for a few hours we arrived at 10 and needed breakfast before browsing . We took our dog 🐕 who had a great time and plenty of dog bowls for furry friends. Breakfast of açai bowls , orange juice and crepes, we easily spent hours . Found most beautiful hand made bowl 🥣 and water Lilly’s . Not many photos of stalls which are 100’s as too immersed walking and looking . Suggestion to allow 3 hours min to browse , eat and chat to the many various people you will meet , locals , travellers, stall holders . After markets found local honey 🍯 at Eumundi . Thinking if a hot summer’s day definitely be early , markets close at 2 .

It has been many years since I visited these wonderful markets, and they keep getting better. An awesome range of vendors, catering to all different tastes and genres.
A must visit for locals and visitor's.
Parking - street is 2 hours on a Saturday.
Or you can pay to stay longer. $9 was the going rate, a bit pricey, so unless you plan to stay a long time, go for the free parking. Get there early, markets start around 7.30.

Great art & craft market. Quite big and can get busy at peak times, however there are plenty of places to sit under the shade of the large trees. Lots of snack & drink options. Allow a few hours to wander around. There is a large car park ($9) just before you arrive to the markets. Market is Open on Wednesday & Saturdays.

Huge market, had to find parking but wasn’t too impressed with the variety of stalls available, didn’t have nice stuff on the day we went. Food was good though.

While this is a huge market and great experience, there are many similar stalls. It didn't worry us, but i was expecting more art.
There is a heck of a lot of jewellery and clothes.
The art that was there had good points of difference.
Lots of produce and food. Hat stalls seemed to feature, a few leather makers, organic potions and more.
There is a stone masion making some interesting features for gardens.

Great food & coffee ☕️ had a nice time it was busy but it was Easter long weekend, purchased handmade soap bunny bum & honey chilli 🌶️ sauce & locally made jams, but was not impressed with some of the imported clothing & homewares otherwise great market as we were there to purchase from locals only

If you plan to visit Noosa, I recommend going on market open days. It's quite large with a variety of goods and food, offering plenty to see! I'm planning to go again whenever I get the chance.
Theme park with displays about ginger, train & boat rides, a tropical garden walk & concessions.
What a fun morning out we had at the Ginger Factory. Entry is free to get you into the shops and cafe inside. You can buy tickets for various rides and tours.
We went for the ginger factory and tasting tour. Cost $56 for 2 adults and 2 children - I feel that it was well worth it! They talk you through their history, how they grow and process their ginger, and at the end, a tasting of a few different food made with various ginger products. Eye opening how versatile ginger can be!!
James, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable & has such a fun upbeat personality, which made our morning so much more fun.
Definitely try their various ginger ice creams sold at the food court - we tried the ginger beer sorbet (a hit with the kids), ginger macadamia & ginger cappuccino (my fav).
Loads of space and activities for families with younger children.
There is also a nursery for you to buy ginger plants - they have gorgeous flowers!! Very reasonably priced.

Amazing place for a day out with kids. Lots of activities depicting what and how they perform their operations. Lots of local honey with different flavours available. Ginger beer tasting. There is a beautiful rainbow umbrella walkways besides the restaurant for photography. The restaurant has a small but nice menu and the staff are very accommodating in all respects. To conclude there is a something for everyone no matter the age.

Loved it immensely. Great afternoon out.. So much to see & do in this wonderland of Ginger. Shops galore, eateries, amenities & magnificent gardens surround this picturesque Ginger Factory. Highly recommend a visit. Lots of parking out the front. Be prepared for large crowds. You can either pay for tours around the factory which also has a train ride throughout or wander around aimlessly.

Had a great day with our eldest son, his wife and their 2 young children.
Ideal for young children under 12yo with a train ride, boat trip in a cave and plenty to see and do.
Also food and drink options were plenty.
Altogether a great place to visit. 😁👍🥰

Super cute, lovely place for a weekend visit. The umbrella installation is really nice. There is a large cafe on site and the gift store has plenty of ginger goodies. Access to the park is free but you have to pay for some of the other experiences like taste testing and tours. Would recommend visiting at least once if you have the time.

Have been here many times but this time my friends and I went on a package deal and toured the Ginger Factory proper, the Beehive tour, and then, after lunch we went on the train and into the boat.
The only thing I will say is that the Beehive lady doesn't need a microphone. But her love of bees shone through and if anyone can get us to but a hive it's this lady.
I had great trepidation about the boat thinking it was just for kids. But I had no idea that we'd be on a floating boat and going around the world made up of 250+ puppets made by locals. Sometimes these things look like they need some TLC but everything was in working order, freshly painted, and just so much fun.
We had lunch with a water dragon couple, went through the shops at the back and left at 4pm.
The only thing that spoilt it was the fact that during mandatory mask using there were 5 couples with 10-12 children between them who didn't wear masks and we were in the vulnerable age group. Wearing our masks is not going to keep us safe from your breath going into our eyes, the most absorbent part of the body.
The guide said he couldn't control it but we were told no mask no entry so why couldn't the Ginger Factory tell them to don or leave?
That was a wonderful 5hrs taken up along with 4hrs return trip drive. Plus goodies that we normally don't purchase.
Super day just before the weather bomb.
How lucky were we!!!

We had a family reunion late last year and decided to stop by to entertain the kids on our way back from Noosa, what a wonderful idea that turned out to be!!! It was our first time visiting the Ginger Factory - the kids had a ball and so did we. There's lots to do and lots to see. Loved the train ride and watching the kids take it all in. Overboard was the highlight of our visit as we got to do the boat rides and fit our families in 2 boats one after the other. Definitely coming back! We had a quiet ride home as the kids were zonked and slept all the way home 😴. Worth the visit and fairly priced for what is offered at the The Ginger Factory 🤩☺️

Wow! We took our elderly father for his weekly out-n-about and the Factory was amazing. I learned a lot from the factory tour, watched the young kids enjoying themselves, and the adults relaxed and unstressed. The gardens are well maintained and amazing. The faculties clean and hygienic. The food court was fabulous and for the first time in a long while, I have to remark how well kept it was. The tables were quickly reset and cleaned with staff removing empty plates and utensils unnoticed. The food selection was boutique, a bit on the pricier side, but we happily paid for the quality and efficiency. We absolutely loved the factory tour, our guide was informative and engaging, and the food tasting at the end was professional and well thought-out. The ginger tidbits were delicious and besides the cheaper factory sample pack we ended up buying lots more from the gift shop to try our hand at some ginger recipes later at home. We planned to stay for an hour, but Dad wanted to see everything! He adored the August art fair. Four hours later we left totally satisfied with our experience. Very worth the entry price. One suggestion for management is to have a look at the railway crossings which are difficult for small-wheeled mobility chairs to negotiate. A minor point that detracted little but a point to consider if you need wheelchair mobility. Highly recommend we will be back!

Th Ginger Factory is a lovely place to visit with the whole family. It has a soft play area with ball pit, for the little ones, babies to 5 years, and for the bigger kids there's a good playground with tunnels and slides and also a jumping castle. All pram and wheelchair friendly paths and free entry! There are beautiful art displays, great photo opportunities, exquisite gardens, and nature friendly with heaps of bearded dragons and birds. There is a tasting room, walks, little shops, a great eatery, a gelato bar, and of course, the very popular train that goes around the park.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting the Ginger factory. What a hidden gem. The train ride was so much fun, the gruffalo walk was an entertaining experience and the kids loved the playground. The staff were lovely and polite considering some of the rude patrons I saw they had to deal with. The gardens are spectacular.

We had so much fun there. Highly recommended for people with children. You will enjoy it. We purchased the bundle tickets. So, we participated in every single paid activities there. We love everything except farm your.
Just a little bit about farm tour. To be honest, it’s nothing really. I don’t recommend you buy a ticket to see it. It’ s just a very small room with some old photos (you can’t social distancing) and you watch vdo about its history. Then look out for machinery from windows. Lastly, taste a little bit of some products.
I suggest the Ginger factory should open a gallery and dedicate some areas for educating people about your history and how to grow ginger and ginger flowers. People can walk around and spend sometimes learning about your factory. 😊

Even if you don’t have young kids it’s still a lovely place to stop . The cafe is great and well priced . The kids nuggets and chips were $12 and the pork belly salad was $20. Both great meals we enjoyed . The gardens are lovely. Turtles in the small lake , bush turkeys and lizards in the gardens . Plus the shops are great , especially if you love ginger .

The Ginger Factory in Queensland is an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped foot on the premises, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made our visit truly exceptional.
What sets the Ginger Factory apart is not just its fascinating ginger-themed attractions and activities but also the incredible food experience it offers. The on-site restaurant is a hidden culinary gem, serving up an array of delectable dishes and some are infused with ginger flavours that awaken the taste buds.
The commitment to using locally-sourced and fresh ingredients was evident in every dish, and it truly elevated our dining experience. The attentive staff made us feel like honoured guests.
The knowledge of ginger and its culinary possibilities added an educational element to our meal.
In addition to the food, the Ginger Factory's café offers an array of ginger-inspired treats, from ginger ice cream to ginger beer tastings that are simply irresistible. It's a paradise for ginger lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
Our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and friendly staff who made our visit unforgettable. The Ginger Factory's emphasis on hospitality and the culinary journey it offers make it a five-star destination that we can't wait to visit again. Whether you're a ginger enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in a beautiful setting, the Ginger Factory is a must-visit in Queensland!

What a fantastic experience. This was my second time visiting this place, and I love it.
My girls love the Gruffalo trail and the bees! The beekeeper was very good at explaining and showing everything about bees.
We did the boat like four times! We visited the factory and the train, of course! I am not a big fan of ginger, but I love to eat and test the different foods, snacks and drinks!
The food at the bar was excellent! There are many GLUTEN-FREE options to choose from, and they are delicious!
The environment is fabulous; everything is fantastic.
It is a great place to take family or friends visiting Brisbane.

My 10-year-old daughter enjoyed it as much as we did. It was a little expensive for 2 x adults & 1 x child = $147.00 which allows you to go to the Factory & Processing Tour, Live Bee Show, Overboard Boat Ride, and a ride on the Ginger Train. We also got to do a free ginger and honey tasting. The people giving the live tour presentation were very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about ginger and the number of different varieties of the plant and the processing of the product as well as how bees pollinate and make honey and what bees do in hives. We didn't have to wait too long between rides or shows as we got there late in the afternoon, but I would expect long wait times if you turned up early in the day. Like most places, the food and drinks available to purchase are expensive and I wouldn’t want to do it in the middle of a hot day, so we did it in the middle of a hot afternoon instead 🥵

There's nothing quite like a scenic drive through the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and our Sunday adventure led us to an absolute gem – Kenilworth Dairies cafe. The journey itself was a delight, winding our way up through the charming town of Maleny, cruising through Baloomba, and following the early twists and turns of the Mary River, we felt the week's stress melt away.
Upon arriving in the picturesque town of Kenilworth, we were greeted by the quaint and inviting atmosphere of the Kenilworth Dairies cafe and decided to have a look. With an appetite for something local and authentic, we decided on the Cheese Platter for two, and let me tell you – it was a decision well made!
The platter was a cheese lover's utopia, boasting an absolutely delicious selection of local cheeses that were the perfect match to the fresh, succulent fruit accompanying them. Each bite was a testament to the quality and care put into their locally made produce.
For anyone seeking the quintessential hinterland experience, or just a fabulous weekend drive with a tasty destination, I highly recommend making a stop at Kenilworth Dairies cafe. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
Bonus Tip for the Adventurous Foodies 🧀: After you've snagged your delectable cheese platter for two, take a scenic drive north of Kenilworth and head towards the serene Borumba Dam. It's the perfect picturesque area for a romantic picnic or a chill day out with your friends!

Great place to visit with reasonable prices but be mindful that is a very busy and popular spot.
It was a very long wait to receive ice-cream in a cone. We were pleasantly surprised when we were given 2 scoops instead of the one scoop of ice-cream that we had ordered. It was great to see that they are pro-active in rewarding customers for waiting so long. Definitely returning with esky to stock up on milk, yoghurt and cheese.

The Kenilworth dairies chocolate mouse was one of my favourite desserts. It was lights and had aerated texture. In the last year the quality has been getting worse and worse to the point that now the chocolate mouse is gooey and the taste is awful. I have stomach aches every time I have your mouse now. Your packaging says that the mouse is light and fluffy. That’s false advertising!!

This is a truly special place. We spent an afternoon/early evening here and loved the education centre and our walk was truly magical with the ancient vines and birdsong of so many birds. We stayed on later when things were quiet and saw many wallabies. The walk was flat and easy, our only disappointment was that one of the loops was closed for improvements so we weren't able to explore it all. One of the most beautiful places we've ever visited, keep up the good work protecting this lovely place.

Maleny Dairies is a picturesque dairy farm and factory that offers daily tours featuring cow milking and feeding, as well as product tasting. The tour is designed to provide good value for money while also maintaining the attention of young children, making it an ideal way to spend one or two hours. Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World is a lush estate featuring scenic walkways adorned with exotic flora and waterfalls, as well as enclosures for birds and other animals. The bird tour is highly recommended with a 5 star rating, offering visitors the chance to interact with native birds, though those afraid of birds may want to pass. Random bird landings add to the experience, while guides help facilitate photo opportunities with select birds.
Absolutely an amazing and must do experience whilst on the sunshine coast. We went twice as the first day we went it was raining heavily and did not get to see most of the gardens and the birds were mostly sheltering from the rain. On our return trip it was amazing. The gardens and views were incredible and the birds definitely the highlight and best part. The keepers are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and take great care of all the birds. Was an awesome experience and I cannot wait to return!

Visit to the Maleny Botanical Garden.
It was a very interesting and great experience. We spent 5 hours including Picnic Lunch and a buggy ride through the absolutely magic kept gardens and forest - topped by a visit to a giant aviary and interaction with the birds. Everything what has to be known about them - was explained by Savannah - a charming young lady - she made sure everybody had the opportunity to have a Parrot 🦜 on a shoulder. Safety was priority one.
The views are spectacular - a photographers dream! They also have a gift shop to buy some souvenirs- handy for visitors from overseas - especially the toy birds.
One thing to mention is - some of the paths are very steep - and maybe hard for some visitors - so the buggy is definitely a "must" and is also fun. Don't worry about the expense - it's worth it!
Congratulations to the Managment for an absolutely perfect run Tourist venue. Thank you to all the staff, that helped with the booking and the explaining of how the buggy is operating - again safety explained. Highly recommended for an outing with children to learn about all the magnificent Parrots.
Thank you - we will be back with Overseas Visitors.

We had the most amazing experience here at the Bird world. The opportunity to be able to interact with the birds and the farm animals is so wonderful.
It's a great place for adults and kids alike.
The botanical gardens are beautifully landscaped with many walking paths and places to sit down and relax or even have a picnic. The many little ponds and lakes add to the beauty and serenity of the gardens. You can come equipped with your own picnic basket, or you could rent one once you arrive.
I would suggest visiting the gardens early in order to cover the entire extent of the gardens.
There is free parking on site.
A definitely must visit place if you are a nature and animal/ bird lover!!

This place offers amazing opportunity to interact with birds.
During your visit, you enter various rooms and learn the story of their inhabitants.
The birds seem happy, trusting, not stressed, and often very curious about new guests. They come to you on their own, sit on your shoulder or sing love serenades to you..
It was absolutely sweet experience.
I believe this place will remain close to my heart.
Thank you for what you do, it's a mission worth supporting!

This is a gem of a place. The bird aviary is a great experience. Our guide Lydia was very informative and everyone who wanted to, got a chance to hold a bird. The macaws were so impressive. Then we went to visit the very cute farm animals. Mother nature didn't gift us with great weather but the gardens still looked beautiful and our 6 year went back twice to the boat. When the weather cleared a bit we still saw the amazing view. I would also recommend visiting the toilets for a surprise in there. Can't believe I've been to Maleny so many times and never visited here. We will definitely be back.

The bird tour gets a 5 star and was well worth it. The gardens get a 3 as there is currently a lot if renovation work but that being said stands good for the improvements those work will bring in the future.
The bird tour will allow you the chance to interact with a variety of birds a lot of which are native. If your scared of birds probably not for you. The birds will land on people at random which is a part of the experience. The guide will assist you to have some great photo opportunities with selected birds.
Buggies are available for hire to get you around the gardens should you choose but it's not necessary.
Lots of picnic spots heaps of car parking, Cafe and toilets.

Wow, definitely a must visit when in Maleny/sunshine coast! My husband and I bought the package which included the general admission, bird sanctuary tour, 2 picnic boxes, and 1 hour buggy hire. The food was actually really good, and the bird tour was so fun and interactive, as we had plenty of birds land on our heads and arms! There were lots of beautiful picnic spots and garden areas around the whole place which you can view on foot or with the buggy (we did both), and there is a section with cute farm animals you can feed, pat and hold. Absolutely beautiful place, would definitely come back next time I'm in the area! 😃🦜🦚

Loved this place, in particular the birds. Jess took us through the aviary with all the beautiful parrots & macaws. Not shy at all & quite a few land on your shoulders/head or try & dislodge earrings or zippers or anything shiny. Such amazing birds. Loved it.

I visited on Friday. There was ample parking. The Cafe was good. I spent almost a day there and covered all the park attractions. The Aviary tour was the most memorable. The guide made sure each person gets chance to carry those beautiful birds on the head or hands or shoulder. I would suggest not to choose the blue feather and enjoy the birds getting cozy around you.
Farm animals are so cute. Don't forget to ask your kids to feed them. They will enjoy this.
The ponds, gazebo, waterfalls, boat, rose garden, and everything was so beautiful. There was no rush and you can relax with your kids.
My humble suggestion is to add few more food items. I will visit again.

We visited this afternoon (a Wednesday) and grabbed a quick lunch from the cafe before entering the gardens. Our baguettes were tasty and the view magnificent.
We headed off around the gardens, a really lovely little walk down finished roads and through grassy paths as well. Be prepared to walk up and down some steep hills! Golf carts are available for hire so that makes it more accessible.
Unfortunately some areas were closed and being worked on, and many areas were in need of weeding. The fairy garden is a little sad with the fairy behind a gate! I can see how maybe people might have been nicking off with small objects, a bit of a shame. It'd be cute to see the area planted out with succulents and mosses. I would have loved to see some little plaques with information about the plants around the garden too - lots of ideas for me for my garden but I had to take photos so I could remember to google later.
The highlight was the aviary tour, the guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and personable. The birds are truly spectacular and will come up to land on you and have a nibble on your clothing. My husband's collar must have been tasty, he's now got a few holes for me to mend!
The second best part was the petting zoo. Absolutely adorable and heart stealing. It was a lovely afternoon!

This place is a MUST for young and old alike. I live locally and had never been here until 2 days ago when my visitors requested to go there. I’d definitely been missing out as this place is awesome. We did the Avery tour which is well worth the investment to get up close and personal with the many feathered friends which are so well looked after and loved. The cafe is lovely with a good choice of menu items. I thoroughly recommend the foot long kransky and sauerkraut bun and the other menu items are good too with large serves of food for very reasonable prices.
The animal farm is clean and the animals are well looked after and cuddly…even the little miniature goats. The pig is not so cuddly but very affectionate to those who enter.
The staff are very knowledgeable about all things feathered and furred. The gardens are manicured perfectly and so so pretty. You may hire a golf buggy for around $45 for an hour to help you get around the botanical gardens or walk but there are a lot of hills and it’s quite a large area.
The cafe is open to guests even if you don’t wish to partake in an Avery tour.
I can’t encourage you all enough to go to this amazing place. We loved it.

We had an amazing time!! The tour of the Aviary was amazing! Biggest we have seen so the animals could happily fly around. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the birds have been rescued or obtained from previous owners. They’re well looked after. The animal farm was awesome also! I’ve never seen such clean pens. Best scones I’ve had from the cafe with a gorgeous view of the glass house mountains. Opted to walk around the gardens as we wanted the exercise - gorgeous flowers and wild birds flying in. Loved our time there, would highly recommend and would love to come back with relatives!

Was a great experience and the gardens are beautiful.
The bird tour can be a little long for small children and does get quite warm, take a water bottle.
If you have vouchers it’s recommended to redeem online before arriving. However you can also redeem vouchers on the day.

💯 recommend this place! The bird experience alone was worth it! We absolutely loved the wildlife and variety of birds 🐦 and information on them! You can hire a buggy to get around the gardens and the scenery is breathtaking. We will definitely be back and will tell all our friends to visit!! Thanks guys! From your South Australian fans!

Beautiful gardens with breathtaking scenery.
The bird sanctuary is good fun for the family if you like birds too. Very steep hills, if you have trouble climbing you can rent a buggy, but it costs a fair bit. Nice place for a family picnic too, or you can buy some food from their kitchen as well. They are planning to have farm animals at 2022 year end, we would definitely visit again.

Wonderful experience that I’m so happy to have done! Kindest staff ever that made it a truly unique place. We signed up for the last bird world tour so our group was smaller and more personal. The staff clearly care a tremendous amount about the birds. We got to hold so many birds and see their relationships with the tour guide. $40 for the bird world tour and botanical garden stroll is more than worth it. The man caring for the petting area, at the time, was also a sweetheart and knew so much about the animals personalities. Gift shop also had perfect gifts/souvenirs. I could not be more thankful for this experience!

Absolutely beautiful gardens which are meticulously maintained and being able to ride around in a golf buggy and get out to take your photos for memories and social media - priceless.
The farm animals were a real hoot and definitely worth taking your kids along for this entire experience.
The definitive highlight for me was the main aviary.
Wow.
It was such a cool experience to have all these beautiful birds land on my head and shoulders and the photo opportunities were out of this world.
This is a MUST DO activity regardless of ages and even if you don't love birds, you will after this experience.
I would happily go again and again.
Great prices, friendly staff, animals and beautiful gardens. What else could you ask for?

We've visited Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World twice and would highly recommend it for locals and tourists alike. The bird aviary is broken into four sections and you get to see a great collection of Australian and international birds and parrots. If you don't want the birds to land on you, there are feather dusters available to gently ward them off. But it is great fun when they do and quite special to get so close to these beautiful creatures. All told you spend about an hour in the aviaries. Then you have plenty of time to check out the gardens. There is also the new farm friends section where you can pat and feed (at a cost) miniature goats, sheep and micro donkeys in addition to plenty of chickens and a rooster. A great attraction for the children! We weren't overly impressed with the food when we first visited three years ago. However on our latest visit we ordered the picnic boxes packaged with our entry. They were fresh, delicious and great value! You can take the boxes to eat at one of the many tables found throughout the gardens. A great hinterland attraction!

Lovely day out with the family. Spectacular views, we paid for entry to the gardens, bird world & animal farm. Kids loved driving the golf buggy around & so much to look at. It is extra for the golf buggy but worth it. Definitely need half a day to explore & the guided tour through bird world was wonderful. You can get interactive time with all the birds, & lots of great photos.

We had an amazing day!! Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, the food was amazing and we had so much fun with the birds and the farming friends. By the way: as the birds love jewelry they offer paper tape to cover everything. So you don't need to take everything out.
We highly recommend this park and would love to come back.

I enjoyed the experience of the Maleny Botanic Garden! It was exciting to be guided through the different areas where the birds fly free in the closed (netted) areas. The birds could land on your person if they choose!! They were comfortable living in their space as a guide walked us through the different bird areas.
It's a beautiful place! The staff are friendly and helpful. I didn't explore the entire property on this visit but I have every intention of returning to do that!!

Such a wonderful way to spend a morning, evening or entire day. The staff are all lovely and friendly and do such a good job at ensuring the birds are respected and kept as safe as possible. Plenty of lovely spots for a picnic as well! Must do in Maleny

We love this place have been there twice. Fantastic gardens, make sure you see coco the parrot. Hand raised by a opera singer, incredible talker. The bird tour this time was too rushed. Would have liked more time in the enclosure cause we love birds. Last year it was better. I understand the limited time with the large birds, but with the smaller less intimidating birds you need more time. Still a must see, especially for kids. Fell in love with the baby goats 🥰

Nestled in the heart of Maleny, the Botanic Gardens is a slice of paradise you won't want to miss. The staff's warmth and hospitality make you feel like a valued guest from the moment you arrive. As you explore the lush grounds, you'll encounter a colorful array of exotic birds, their melodies adding to the enchantment of your visit. And let's not forget the cheeky farm animals – their antics are guaranteed to bring laughter and joy to visitors of all ages. But perhaps the most captivating aspect of the gardens is the breathtaking views that unfold around every corner. Whether you're gazing out over the rolling hills or marveling at the vibrant blooms, each vista is more stunning than the last. A trip to the Maleny Botanic Gardens is an unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired.

The word that pops into my head the minute we arrive at Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird Sanctuary is WOW. I have visited here once before and it is even more spectacular than I remember. From the birds you can get a photo with at the entrance, to the sweeping views of the Glass House Mountains, this place will blow you away. There are buggies for hire if you don't want to walk around the paths, that can be a little steep in places. There are also many rotundas dotted around the gardens where you can sit and relax. Of course you can visit the farm friends enclosure and also take a walk through the bird aviaries with a guided tour. There are so many gorgeous birds to see. Also there is a kiosk and cafe. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure to allow a few hours.

We enjoyed a great family lunch [with our dog] in the beer garden of the Dusty Hill Winery Irish Tavern on Easter Sunday. What a fun place! Lots of trees and lake in the garden to provide shade for tables. Lots of people and dogs. You can also sit inside if preferred. Service was excellent and the food delicious. There is plenty of parking and a shop with fantastic local goods on the premises and you can also do wine tasting at the cellar door. A great day out!

Hi was up there for the 6 band playing.
Last Saturday.
For 160.00 for two people.
We were not happy.
No Chardonnay and no free food.
Not enough Toilets.
All the band members got there early.
They were drinking all day.
I was watching.
Then there was kids just running wild.
I saw 3 you kids. Down near the pond. .
But the service was great.

We have stayed in the house over looking the pond it was immaculate. Very modern, all the kitchen utilities and great breakfast platter was included that lasted us two days. We saw kangaroos everywhere and 4 friendly geese! We had lunch at the Tavern pub just 2 min walk and a huge pool that we had all to ourselves. The lake was huge and we same across it and saw wild horses. Highly recommended this vineyard.

A delightful place to spend a long lunch. We started with a full wine tasting, which at $10 per person may not be to everyone’s liking, but don’t let this put you off. This would have to be one of the best-tasting experiences we’ve had in Australia.
Our host was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about each of the wines on offer.
We’d booked in for lunch at 12:30 pm but arrived at 11:30 am. This allowed us to work through the whites and reds before heading to lunch, however before heading off we arranged with our host to return after lunch to finish our tasting with the dessert wines.
Lunch was quite a surprise with the quality and selection of dishes on offer exceeding our expectations. And while the dessert selection was a little lacking, we found a baked cheesecake to take back to the tasting room to finish off our day.
We’d highly recommend this approach for your day at Dusty Hill, just plan to visit on a Friday and not on the weekend, as we don’t think you’d have the same experience on a Saturday or Sunday.

We spent 3 nights in a restored cottage at Dusty Hill Vineyard. The cottage retains its historical identity while introducing a blend of contemporary comforts. The design choices contributed to a comfortable atmosphere. The cottage is positioned to overlook a lily pond. It was so peaceful to look at the lily pond and watch the local wildlife. We were pleasantly surprised to find a large breakfast platter and a fresh loaf of bread in the cottage. We were planning to visit Lake Barambah during our stay but we got sidetracked by the beautiful pool located on the property. The wine tasting was a fun experience. I personally enjoyed the Classic Wine and Fortified Verdelho. If you're looking for a family weekend away, Dusty Hill Vineyard is an excellent choice.

Down at Joe's R*pe and Gr*pe (if you know, you know), they would rather charge you for a plate you didn't order than admit they made a mistake, and then overcharge everybody for BYO cake just to rub it in on your birthday. We made a tradition of coming out here for birthdays, I guess we will have to try the other Vinyard nearby!

What an incredible place. Attended Dusty Day Out yesterday and it was just a fantastic day. The staff were incredibly attentive with no empty glass sitting for more than a few minutes. Even with 400 people the food was fast and hot and delicious, they didn't miss a beat. The venue is beautiful with so many gorgeous little touches and accents. As a full time wedding entertainer I travelled here to do my first wedding last weekend, and I was blown away.
The place is stunning! The food was amazing, the staff were terrific and the Function manager Miranda totally saved my bacon by lending me her laptop for the night as I’d left mine behind. My recent wine tasting experience at the cellar door was far from enjoyable. The bartender scolded me for not paying attention when she was explaining wines to other guests and criticized what flavours I was feeling in a wine. Despite wines were ok , making the overall experience disappointing. A friendlier bartender approach could have improved the visit.

We had a wonderful experience at Dusty Hill Winery, the wine tasting was an education, thank you Jeanie. Lunch at the Iris Bar was spectacular, the food was well presented and delicious, but most of all thank you to Lou for highlighting the whole adventure with your charismatic personality. Straightforward rooms with minifridges in a casual gastropub featuring a verandah.
Stopped in for some takeaway and the staff were friendly and super helpful!
We stuck our head out the back and were shocked to find a super cool outdoor area that felt more like something you'd see in the middle of Brisbane than a little country pub. Such a cool vibe.

Needed somewhere cheap to stay and found this little gem tucked away.
The service from the girls behind the bar was impeccable, even on a very busy Friday night. Well done!
The Food was delicious and served hot and fresh. I had a Chicken Schnitzel with Chips, Homemade Slaw and Diane Sauce. Would definitely recommend a meal here.
The Room was comfortable and adequate for a solo traveller like myself. There were two single beds and the one I slept in was comfortable and I slept like a log. The linen was clean and fresh.
My only issue with the room was the lack of air conditioning, however it wasn't a hot or particularly warm day (for me anyway) and the night was cool so the ceiling fan and the window slightly open was more than enough. Summer might be a different story. There were also a few cobwebs in the corners but I didn't see any freeloaders (Spiders).
The Shower in the men's toilets down the corridor was also cold however given there was only one shower cubicle, I'm wondering if a few people had used it before me and the hot water hadn't warmed up again.
Would definitely come here again.

An excellent place to get away for the weekend with lots of natural tracks, great sunrise and sunset views, good accommodations, many local fauna and if you are lucky you might see some fire flies when dusk sets in. Only negative is that wifi signal is not very good for majority of this national park.

Stayed at one of the houses at the Bunya Mountains. Went on the 4km circuit walk through the forest that had waterfalls, hollow trees and expansive lookout views. The natural flora and fauna were also great to experience. After the trek we settled for a drink at the Bunya Mountains Tavern. Would recommend this getaway to anyone.

My cousin and I booked a 2 hour trail ride for Sunday, the weather was a little overcast and rainy, but nonetheless, it was such a beautiful experience! I had the absolute pleasure of riding Belle, she was very patient with me and was the most comfortable well mannered horse I've ever ridden with such a cheeky and sweet personality. Peter and Gill were so welcoming and made me feel safe at all times. They are clearly passionate about the experience they offer and the lifestyle, they are great teachers, extremely talented riders (obviously), and always had a good laugh which made me feel right at home. I have had very little riding experience in my life, however by the end of it I was confident and comfortable in the saddle - even trotting!! I cannot wait to go back and will be booking in as much as possible. Cannot recommend Cowboy Up enough! A truly wholesome and magical experience! LOVED IT!
Thankyou so much Peter & Gill!

Absolute 5 star experience! Gil and Peter were amazing. My partner and I have been out of the saddle for a while and they were extremely kind and patient. The horses were beautiful and obviously very well cared for. Would recommend no matter what riding level you are. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful people, gorgeous country and beautiful patient horses- an amazing experience! Close to toowoomba so such a great day out on the weekend to escape the hustle and bustle. Gill and Pete were so lovely and welcoming, and the company of Henry the dog was an added bonus :) my partner had never ridden before and we are both absolute amateurs- the instructions were clear and well presented, and Gill and Pete were so encouraging and kind.
Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Cowboy up is a fantastic place to go trail riding. They have the most beautiful scenery, the best horses, and amazing service. You go all over their block, ride up and down hills, past dams and gully’s, and you get to trot. Their horses are the most amazingly mannered horses I have ever met. They are extremely well looked after and there is such a wide range of horses that they choose very specifically to suit you. Gill and Peter are so kind and very very helpful. You do not have to be an experienced rider, they go through everything you need to know and they even teach you how to trot. Cowboy up is amazing and I highly recommend it. I will definitely be back.

Horses are very well trained and cared for. Taking riders from 5yrs old on very quiet horses. Scared riders need not worry. This is the place for you to go.
Experienced riders will appreciate a responsive mount and a lovely property to explore with a guide.
Private lessons also available. Love the easy online booking system 😊
Fantastic family day out, catering for all levels of riders 💕💞
Cobb+Co Museum is a well-designed historical landmark that showcases the national collection of horse-drawn vehicles as well as local history. Visitors of all ages can enjoy and learn from the exhibits, and there are special events throughout the year. The museum also includes a Kids Science Museum for interactive learning. An impressive cafe and gift shop are available on-site. Additionally, the museum features exhibits that give visitors a glimpse into life in earlier times through carriage displays.
We were sceptical about the museum but were pleasantly pleased by the exhibits. Has a Kids Science Museum that they interact and enjoyed. Great cafe and shop inside.
The carriage exhibits give a memoir into the good olden days..

Visited a few times and love this place. Weekend was quieter than expected, whilst school holidays were busy. Plenty to keep the kids occupied, restaurant food excellent and staff all lovely. Great to see additional activities running for school holidays. As someone from the UK, I’d love to see more information about aboriginal history and culture as a permanent feature as currently there is only one small room. Definitely worth a visit!

This museum is a must see for anyone with even an inkling of historical questions on Australia's early years. All of the wagons, buggies and Sulkies lovingly restored, many in house. A true glimpse into our past. To hear the stories of our past, and personally longing for a return to those simpler days, makes me happy that we can still visit the past. The in house work shops are no joke either! We spoke to a wheelwright who was working on a " 1800's farm ute" to use his words. Rebuilt from little more than a pile of scrap steel and rotten timber, it is truly a sight to behold. Hats of to the staff, it is an amazing place to visit. Highly recommend going to have a look 😊😊.

Well designed and well planned museum. All ages can enjoy here and plenty of new stuff to learn. Cafe and gift shop is amazing. There are special events during the year and I was amazed with the Colour exhibition had in Dec 2021. It explained the origins of colour in the natural and human-made worlds.

We attended with our grandchildren and we all had a great time. We attended a science display and learnt about chemical and physical reactions in a fun way. Got to play in the science display and had fun creating a vortex in water, watched electrical sparks travel up between 2 copper pipes and much more. We also watched blacksmiths at work and there is much more to see. Going back to check out the other displays. Also had lunch there and the coffee was good too. Great place to take the children in school holidays!

What a Great museum to visit. Good collections of national Carriage and well displayed. The Science centre is good fun place for children. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Not only the carriages , they have other sections like - Spy -history of espionage in Australia, Hands on Workshops, This is my heritage exhibition, MegaFauna ( pre historic Giant from Darling downs) and The coach stop play area. We enjoyed our visit.

Really enjoyed every part. The Australian Spy portion was well done and quite a fascinating read! I really liked the carriage section and the history of all of the conveyance. There is also a small science room with some hands on stuff for the kids.

An iconic museum in Toowoomba and definitely worth a visit. Aside from the historical museum, there's also a Science museum which is great for kids, a Spy themed museum, and a cafe for food and drinks afterwards. The staff were wonderful and very friendly and they offer student discount which was great. Plenty of parking in the adjacent street out the front, and it's located very close to Queens Park for a walk afterwards. We actually found it very interesting here and would highly recommend!
Queens Park is a vast and pristine park with many play areas for children, including interactive sections such as pipes to talk in and a hamster wheel. The park also boasts an impressive Botanical Garden that undergoes replanting during Autumn. Additionally, there are beautiful Bunya trees scattered throughout the park where visitors can relax on picnic tables and chairs.
Well maintained, huge park area with a few different playgrounds. They are quite new & have great play equipment. Many toilet blocks throughout the park (could be cleaner). Includes Botanic Gardens.
Elle — Google review
A large and very well maintained park, equipped with several playgrounds and points of interest. Great for a leisurely stroll and particularly pretty during certain seasons (Spring). Dogs are allowed on leash in the park, although there is an off leash on one side (unfenced). Plenty of pathways to choose from in addition to information boards providing some history of the park and plantations. A few playgrounds, monuments and toilet facilities throughout the park too.
Kerbray — Google review
Undoubtedly this a spectacularly colourful floral park in spring and summer but unavoidably dull in later autumn into winter due to the emptied flower beds. Still, it's peaceful and presents a comfortable environment with big grassy areas and trees, as in Victorian practice, bought in from all over the world. Nicely maintained, there are a number of interesting monuments on display. Most exhibits are labelled, including the introduced trees.
Alan Walmsley — Google review
Spectacular as always during September! Fantastic display of simply gorgeous flowers. Lovely listening to music in the park, whilst having a gentle stroll through the park. Wonderful to visit alone, but even better experience if you bring a friend or your dog! The park is dog and bicycle friendly 😊

Acres of well maintained parkland, which includes The Botanical Gardens. All the flower beds are bare in the Autumn months. This is because they replace and replant ready for the Springtime.
Good area for scooters and skateboards and push bikes, with even wide pathways.
A separate area of the park has a large children's playground.
There are interactive sections eg pipes to talk in and play,a hamster wheel flying fox, swings and slides.
Beautiful Bunya Trees, with picnic tables and chairs.

What a beautiful and well kept park. Except for the very stinky skip bin located in one area that had a terrible smell!! During a recent getaway from the "Big Smoke ", my wife & I had the pleasure of spending some quality time in the State Heritage-listed Queens Park & Botanical Gardens located at 43 -73 Lindsay St, Toowoomba QLD 4350.
Known as the Garden City, Toowoomba definitely stamps itself as just that with plenty of open green space in & around the local area's.
We spent a very relaxing time walking through the vast open spaces of the parklands & then onto the magnificent Botanical Gardens. There were plenty of assortments of flowers 💐& plant's for the Summer season.
The council gardening staff are to be commended for the diligent work that they carry out. I just couldn't get over just how clean & tidy the whole place was.
The general public have plenty of access amenities such as public toilets, drinking water fountains & open grassed areas for families to enjoy picnics or just running around with their children.
There is a large Playground located near the Botanical Gardens which definitely caters for energetic children.
There are off leash & leashed areas for for any size dogs 🐕
Queens Park is a hive of activity during the Carnival of Flowers held during the month of September.
Definitely worth ticking this off on your bucket list 👌

Beautiful park at the centre of Toowoomba which is amazing anytime of year. Rare large trees amount to a very unique collection if one takes time to read the plaques on the trees. The park emerges with other parks during September in the city each year to be park of the carnival of flowers event which is great for those who love perennials.

Beautiful park with many of the floral displays from the recent festival still there in the Botanical Garden section.
I love their dog off leash area as it has gardens to explore. No fences but only a dead end quiet street nearby. A couple of watering stations for humans & dogs. & Several seats scattered around some in sun, some in shade.

Great atmosphere at the cafe/restaurant. You can dine inside or outside and today we chose to sit beside the window and look out into nature. The food was awesome. With quite generous servings of Beer Battered Barramundi and a scrumptious tartare sauce satisfied my belly. Whilst Hubby munched on the Seniors portion of Apple smoked pork belly fully meet his hunger needs. One star off just because the Lemon Lime and Bitters was little bit on the sweet side. I should have said something to the waiter. Speaking about staff, their personality is worth coming to this place to see. Very polite, Very friendly and nothing was too hard for them to do. Plus as an added bonus there may be an artist amongst them, I should have asked. The paintings are of all the local wildlife is in the Scenic Rim of Toowoomba, if I dare say bloody fantastic indeed.. We will be returning to purchase some of them.

I have been there quite a few times; however, the last time was ten years ago. Being here today for lunch with my wife was simply awesome. Attentive and fast service, very friendly staff, no stress or panic; lovely setting; food was great, so was the ice coffee. Yes, nice views, lovely setting... and best of all a 'senior' menu (smaller portion and reduced price). Well worth a visit, considering the surounding park areas, waterfall (currently repaired; hence, no access from Oct to Dec 2023). Next time it won't be ten years to come back. :)

Service: staff not trained how to serve by not reaching across customers
Food: so disappointing as we had enjoyed lunch there the last time about a year ago
Told on phone there were several vegan options but only one on menu ( a salad which did not match description on menu - where was the pomegranate molasses dressing ( when we,asked about the lack of dressing, given a small bowl of balsamic!!!)
Salad consisted of rocket with a tiny serve of chickpeas and a bit of puree with lots of red onion on top (note: no mention of this in menu description)
Hot chocolate tasted like warm water with a bit of chocolate powder mixed in.

It’s rare that you find a cafe with such spectacular views having good food to match. The Picnic Point Cafe reached beyond any of my expectations with fantastic good-sized portions at affordable prices.
I visited on July 18, 2022 with two other adults and a toddler. The staff were incredibly accomodating, and being a Monday it wasn’t too busy.
The food is the best I have had on my Qld holiday so far, and I’ve eaten at some pretty fancy places. The seafood laksa was the best my friend had ever had with the perfect balance of textures, and not too heavy. It’s made with real coconut milk, not the cheap stuff.
The pulled duck dish with Asian slaw was one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had. It was all of my favourite foods on one plate. I couldn’t fault it. If you like duck, this is for you.
The third adult had the pork belly, but it was not to our taste. It was rubbery and sliced thinly, rather than the crispy pork belly sheet. However, the salad it came with was exceptional and made up for it.
The drinks and desserts were great, and I have to note that the almond/orange cake was probably the best I’ve had. It was the perfect balance of crunchy caramelised edges with soft cake inside.
Overall this place is a must visit if in town, especially for those with dietary requirements such as dairy allergies.

I received some distressing news yesterday and decided I would feel better if I had something to eat and drink and a good view at Picnic Point. They sat me at a table 11 where my view was the wall and the window frame. I tried to find another table and couldn’t. Gave up waiting for someone to serve me after waiting five minutes, got up and left. Emailed asking the manager to contact me. He hadn't contacted me by noon the next day. Disappointing experience and service.

It is great restaurant and cafe. I went there yesterday when Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers on. The place is beautifully presented with great views of the city.
I do that lots of places now charge for surcharges when cards is in use to pay. The male staff who served me at the counter is wonderful taking orders for my afternoon tea. As I pay for the bill I mentioned that I wish it would be great if staffs tells the customer that surcharges will apply. Even before the male staff would response to my comment(or not to comment and do the jobs), one of female staff abruptly came to the counter and pointed finger on the monitor of casher saying surcharge application notice is on it. I am very disappointed how she say it in such rude manner with tone of voice.
It just ruined my day. Great customer service. Well done to that staff. Thanks 😆

Formal Japanese-style university garden with a mountain-style stream, bridge & azalea-covered hill.
A peaceful, well-kept and beautiful park. Lots of birdlife around the lake and plenty of bridges for photo opportunities. The gardeners have done an amazing job and it's a great place for a quiet stroll, even bringing your dog (on leash) too. There's several entrances and a few paths you can take, albeit it's mostly in a circular direction around the park. A wonderful place for a quiet picnic (making sure to take any rubbish with you!) and would highly recommend!

This Japanese Garden is a beautiful place to stroll. The central lake has very impressive wooden bridges with water birds swimming in the lake. Even though construction work was happening for the new tea house, the gardens still look fantastic. The water is lower to allow the construction machines safer access to the site.
Towards the end of the day they knock off so the garden is peaceful until dusk.

It's looking a little tired but perhaps that's part of an autumn visit. A sign said the pond was polluted and to keep away. Didn't see a turtle but lots of ducks, Ibis (of course) and other birds. The pebble garden was uncared for. Crafted sections of the garden are tidy, and the bamboo stands impressive. A peaceful walk on the gravelled paths was relaxing, and the water installations were calming.

The gardens need some work to present a more authentic Japanese garden feel. However it was still a nice experience and there are some nice elements in the gardens. The ponds though need to be filtered and cleaned and the Ibis nest site is a real detractor.

An absolute hidden gem in the suburbs of Toowoomba. Nestled between the UniSQ campus and suburbia, there is ample parking streetside. Entering the gardens seems to cut you off from the hustle bustle, and very quickly you’ll feel yourself calming. The gardens are a lovely representation of Japanese culture, and all components of the garden are well arranged. The walking tracks will take you leisurely around the grounds, and the central pond and many shaded areas give ample spots to stop, rest, reflect, even meditate. The bamboo creaks and knocks in light breeze, and the various water birds seem very content. A definite must-do if in or passing through Toowoomba. Take a break from modern life, grab a book or a picnic, and enjoy. And don’t forget to look for the little hidden gems around the garden.

The gardens are very well maintained, the amenities are very clean and tidy with a new toilet block recently built, lots of birds, including the majestic Ibis, who have their own little island in the middle of the lake. Terrific camping experience over the 2024 Easter break, amenities kept clean, regular campsite patrols and rubbish collection.
Woolshed Activites seemed lackluster with a poor turnout, probably due to limited adversiting on website and social media, such a pity.

Went there a couple of years ago in caravan good sites going in the future for a wedding

Didnt actually make it to Woolshed, had planned to visit last year but at the time they had closed down. There was recent advertising on Great South East etc on channel 7 and was extremely surprised to see reviews posted in recent months. The website still says its closed until further notiçe, which it has done now since this time last year. So either recent reviews are dodgey, or place is open - hard to tell. Best check with venue by calling them before planning trip out there.

after travelling here, parking the van in a nice open field area, we walked gingerly through the 80m walk of a Bindi prickle mine field to then be told it's not open to visitors, only groups that are booked. didn't see that on google write up. disappointing.

A great camp ground and beautiful historical buildings to wander around. The woolshed is amazing and can't wait to see the buildings restored and open to the public.

If your into old grain headers and tractors they have a great collection. I was interested in the early Sunshine headers and was shown in detail how they operated. The woolshed is the star attraction and is full of history of the wool industry. We had a good couple of hours looking around and would go back again for sure.

What a great place to stay, relax and unwind. Good facilities, friendly helpful staff and tasty fresh food.
We took the day to wander the whole place and take in the history of the area, it was so Interesting. The staff were so friendly and helpful we decided to have lunch at the restaurant on site. What a lovely surprise the food was well presented, very fresh and tasty. It was delivered in a timely manner by a very pleasant young lady. I thought it was great value.
We have done the basic camping with a camp kitchen and also stayed in the sheerers accommodation/bunk house... that was fun.
We will return again soon to explore further

A walk into Australiana with the oldest, largest heritage listed woolshed that still operates in the Southern Hemisphere. There is something for everyone

We have visited here many times over the years, and this time we stayed in the attached caravan park for a few days.
The caravan park is very well maintained, and the amenities are kept clean.
We found our stay very peaceful and relaxing.
We used it as a base camp for visiting many places in the area, including the Bunya Mountains, and Dalby.
The historical village here is very good, however some of the buildings are closed for repair.
I am a vintage machinery buff, and there is a very large display here.
All in all a great place to visit and spend some time.

Great displays and friendly staff. Only a small entry fee and you can also camp.

Wonderful historical place that gives a sense of how hard they must have worked back in the day

Great place for a dip in warm soft Artesian water. Has some pipe thongs that can really hit the spot. Highly recommend if you are ever in Moree. Lots of change rooms and lots of friendly people in the pools.

If you’re looking for somewhere to relax, this is the place. There are three pools here each of varying temperatures to allow you to get your hot steamy water fix. Water gets in each pool and also a kiddies pool which was unfortunately not open at the time we visited. Lifeguards in attendance, and generally goodwill across all visitors.

Such a wonderful place to relax and soak in hot artesian water. Especially loved the jets. Really like you are getting deep tissue massage. This place is very well kept. Clean and safe. Many elderly visit this place.

Disappointing , the hottest pool was closed for renos, the internal pool was being refurbish as well. The Olympic pool was still closed after 3 years. Hopefully it gets sorted soon. It’s one of the great treats when your in Moree , and apart from this there’s not a great deal to do when it’s hot.

Easy, accessible hot Artesian spa pool near a load of simple Moree motels. Works on one pool happening now - and a bit noisy. Great start for us early morning before a day back on the road north. Modestly priced. Friendly staff.

A lovely visit, hot springs pool and gloriously cool swimming pool with ample shade on a hot morning. Wonderfully enjoyed part of our holiday. I loved the information in the foyer and the familiarity of the entry steps just as they were 40 years ago, only newer and cleaner!

Hot Pool out of action for over a year, other pool's not hot enough. Waste of time, better off finding other pool's to visit.
Intestate driver and seams every time I go through and have time the closed for some reason or another or only minimal use of facilities.
Today it's no power.

The famous Moree Hot Mineral Baths originated in 1895 when the bath's mercurial waters were accidentally discovered. While searching for a reliable source of irrigation water, a bore was sunk into the Great Artesian Basin. Amazingly, this bore derived hot mineral waters, heated naturally at 41 degrees Celsius.
This is why we travel from Brisbane to experience this & love the setup. Their facility setup is excellent for everyone to relax.

Hi, my mum (Ljubica) just spent 2 weeks in Moree and she visited aquatic centre every day. She loved it. She says: Big gratitude to all the staff, I particularly enjoyed in water aerobic exercises and special thanks to Jackie and Cate (or Kate) who helped me with my exercises; see you next year.

Great facility to enjoy thermal water. With planned laps pool currently under construction, there would be even more reasons to visit. Nice VIP area with the sauna, however it it a bit small comparing to eqvivalent thermal waters facilities in Europe. Given much lower patronage it is quite adequate. It would be nice though to have few more saunas and perhaps an infrared cabin in the vip area.

I did post a conclusive review or at least I thought I did.
Anyhoo.. extremely pleasant experience. Well worth going out of your way to visit. Comprehensive facilities, sauna, icy plunge bath, Artesian thermal pools,Gym,snacks, wellness options, water slide.etc.
I could stay here for quite a while.
I stayed at motel about 50m away, better to do that than stay at a motel with their own pool. That's my opinion anyway.
David Swan — Google review
Helpful and friendly staff. Facilities are clean. If in Moree, this is a must do on your list. It has a kids water play area, a large slide (extra $4 per person unlimited times), an Olympic sized pool, 30 degrees warm water pool and two 45 degrees hot spring water pools. In the 45 degrees pools it's best not to remain in the water for more than 15 mins to avoid dehydration.
The entrance has a shop for all swimming needs and a cafe.
There are benches around the pools and also lawn on one side giving ample space for a picnic too.
We stayed there for 3 hours and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend it.

I would love to be able to give this place rave reviews because when you're in the hot water it feels like bliss. Unfortunately, there was only 1 small hot pool operational which was very crowded, the upkeep of the pools just doesn't seem to be high on the council's agenda despite them being such a big drawcard for Moree.
I must however, praise the staff. You couldn't find friendlier or more helpful staff anywhere, they were fantastic, especially the young lady at reception who greeted us, what a treasure!
How can you not love a clever wire sculpture of an elegant flying piggie? We had a brief comfort plus coffee stop - barely caught the cafe as it closed, so continued across the river and found a shady tree on the Coona Rd. Excellent coffee, need to come back to Gilgandra for a proper look. But, that flying piggie!
