The Bara Imambara is a centuries-old, sprawling and ornate building in the heart of Lucknow. It features an immense vaulted chamber and dizzying maze, making it one of the city's top historical places.
It is a very nice place to visit in Lucknow.
It has bhul bhulaiya which I don't think it is actually confusing. There is also a well which is used by begam in that time.
Overall it is a nice to visit with family.

This is a heritage monument related muslim religion. Good architecture, moderately maintained. You can buy cold drinks and snacks inside the monument campus. The small garden was properly maintained and the place was clean. I missed the opportunity to visit the entire place as my mother was having problems with so many stairs. I personally feel that the entry ticket is highly priced as you have to pay to the guide in addition to entry tickets. Otherwise the place is good.
Himadri Bhakat — Google review
A beautiful and soothing place. I'd recommend you guys to visit during winter as in summer the temperature is around (35-40)°C so you guys will get exhausted, sun tanned and then it becomes boring. Also make sure you hire a guide for better understanding of the inside architecture and history.

Management needs to be improved. Compounds have good waste disposals at every nook but People should not be allowed to enter the main building like bhool bhulaiya with plastic bottles and juice cartons. There were many left overs along the chambers. It affected the experience. I didn't click photos as I didn't want to ruin the image. It's worth a visit though
Aman Upadhyay — Google review
Historical landmark in Lucknow.. but management needs to be improved.. ticket is 50 rs per person.. and guide charge is 200 rupees.. nothing to see without guide.. but the place is the main tourist attraction so you have to visit..
RIOT KRRISH — Google review
It is said that this monument is build of 5 types of lentils. The nawabs use to attack the Britishers from the Bhul bhulaiya situated inside. Also there are treasures buried under this monument which no one can find out as keys have been dismissed. Also there are pathways situated under this fort which opens out to Delhi, Hyderabad and some other major cities. The interiors were very beautiful and I was amazed to see the maze or the bhul bhulaiya which has been constructed so well. The view from the top is also amazing. This place is a must visit if you're in Lucknow.
Nabyendu Das — Google review
The place has its own historical significance. If you are in Lucknow don't miss it..The combo ticket for Indian people is 50 rupees and the charge of the guide is 300 rupees. You cannot bring any professional camera with you.You have to submit large or small baggage and camera before entering. Photography and videography are prohibited. You can still capture a few handful of pictures. The place is really worth multiple visit .The labyrinth or vul vulaiya is really mesmsrazing.

An iconic place to visit in Lucknow. The most interesting part is the Bauli. The inside of the main building is way too crowded. No body follows Covid norms. If you are a photographer you will have hard time finding a clear frame as this tourist place is too busy. Also, we felt the old structure could have been more maintained and well taken care of. The tourist department has not paid much attention to the maintenance of the old iconic building.
Vivek Verma — Google review
Great historical place. Had a really pleasant experience here. The local guide was very enthusiastic and cheerful. If you ever visit here for the first time, do take the services of a guide, it will beneficial as many a things cannot be known by tourists if explored solo. Really picturesque place. You will be fascinated to know about the history and technology of this place. Must visit, if ever in Lucknow.
Shivangi Soren — Google review
Too much restrictions too much of commercialization and rigid handling that you miss the elegance of this place.
Built by the Nawab of Awadh in for Azadari remembrance, this is elegant and amusing in its construction. It has 45 ways to the inside but just two leading outside.
Too many restrictions and conventional rigidities make the experience bad but this is a must visit monument in Lucknow.
Take a guide if you are in a group, it helps.

This imambara is the second largest after the Nizamat Imambara. The building complex also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace, but only two ways to come back, which is through the first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture. It was also a relief measure during 1780 famine providing employment generation.

A nice historical place to visit in Lucknow. The top view is beautiful. It is preferable to take a guide for complete tour. Monday it remains close and on Friday, this place opens for tourists at 3pm.

It's lovely, it's beautiful it holds lots of stories. You'll need a guide here though. It's very clean, but don't fill your water through the drinking water the water's sus. Also a beautiful garden which you're not allowed to enter.
Pranjal Chandak — Google review
I've found this place good. It has been kept well by the govt despite of the fact that huge number of people visit here everyday. However, I found that the rate of tickets were at the higher side. 300 for the age of 16 and above is absolutely unnecessary. If this is considered as a place of worship then let people enjoy some rebate on ticket rates. Overall good experience. Cheers.

A nice place to visit and walk around if you’re in Lucknow. I wasn’t able to gain access since the electronic payment methods were down but I got to visit the lawns which were nice.
It was also a bit crowded which I assume was due to Eid so I didn’t mind not being able to access the temple itself. Overall, a great spot for pictures!

One of the most beautiful historical place to visit in Lucknow. A place where you can see the way of living of Nawabs. If ever visited in Lucknow so I recommend you to must visit this place. Here you need a guide to visit inside bhool bhulaiya and it's seriously a bhool bhulaiya so be careful and take a guide if you are visiting first time. Helping staff and here you will get some snacks shops inside this place and toilet facilities available inside the place and you will be charged some amount if you're coming from personal vehicle as a parking fee. Overall it's my good visit.
Aditya Saxena — Google review
Nice architectural design, the amount charged here is high bhool bhulaiya, picture gallery and clock tower are must place to visit.
Tip: Hire guide over picture gallery as it will make your visit interesting.

Historical Monument, good vibe while visiting the same. Bhul bhulaiya’s history is interesting & one should must visit & ask the same.
Mukund Kumar — Google review
The place is impressive and lots of things to see. Tickets r also very reasonable. In ₹50 you can see everything inside. Guides take about 100-200₹. Guides are compulsory to visit bhool bhulaiya, which is inside the campus only. But it isn't maintained well, so that is a negative point and mostly the whole place is crowded

History - The Bara Imambara, located in Lucknow, India, is one of the most famous imambaras in the world. It was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, the great Nawab of Awadh, in 1784 to provide employment to people during a major famine in the region. The complex includes the main building, the Asfi Mosque, the Bhul-Bhulaiya (a labyrinth), and a stepwell known as Shahi Baoli.
The main hall of the Bara Imambara, also known as the Asfi Mosque, is one of the largest vaulted galleries in the world and does not use any pillars or beams for support. It's a remarkable architectural feat of the Mughal era. The central hall is used for religious gatherings, particularly during Muharram, when processions and ceremonies are held to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain.
The Bhul-Bhulaiya, or the labyrinth, is a fascinating maze of corridors and passages within the complex. It is said that even though it's easy to get lost inside, one can find their way out by following specific routes.
The Bara Imambara stands as a significant historical and cultural landmark in Lucknow, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to admire its architecture, explore its mysteries, and learn about its rich heritage.

Beautifull Mughal Architecture of Lacknow. It's a five stories architecture from 1st floor to top is the famous Bhulbhulaia.
On the top floor- roof the scenic beauty of the city is excellent.
One negetive point- behavior of Guides are very bad & rough.

It is among top of Must visit places while you are in Lucknow. Architecture is really amazing and
The Bara Imambara is one of the most famous monuments of the city. It is also known as Asfi Imambara, as it was constructed in 1784 by then the Nawab of Awadh, Asif-ud-Daula. The best part is that it was built as a part of relief project for a major Famine that took place in 1784 (to provide basic necessity to their people by giving them work).
Buildings is a 4 story and built without the use of iron bars. Whole Imambara contains Main building having large halls and Labyrinth, Badi Bouli, and asifi Mosque.
Labyrinth (Bhool Bhulaiya) in it's wall is well ventilated has stairs and connection to tunnel (currently closed) which connect it to places like Allahabad, Faizabad, Delhi and the gomti river. It contains steep stairs so not recommended for extreme age people and for those who have knee issues.
Another peculiarity is that at some places wall is constructed in such a way that wishers can be heard form long distance through walls.
Timings: Remains Open from 06:00 am to 05:00pm all day except Monday. Bhul bhulaiya (Labyrinth) opens at 09:00 am, so it's better to visit accordingly.

Bada Imambara is one of must visit places if you are interested in history. Guide is compulsory with a couple.
Guides here are friendly and tell you everything in details about the monument.
There is a so called Bhool Bhulaiya at the top of monument which is a favourite place for guide to show their skills and knowledge about the monument.
Overall place is beautiful and worth visiting of you are in city of Nawabs.

It's a great heritage site in Lucknow but it's not maintained. They charge a good amount for ticket and guide, but their service is poor. You are lucky if you get good guide there. People have spitted in corners. Requesting to all the Guthakha lover, please don't spit anywhere you wish to.

It’s a one time visit place. It’s one of those attractions that you should visit when you are in Lucknow. It’s a tourist place. So you will have to buy entry ticket. If you want to see Bada Imambara from inside then you will need to pay extra for tour guide and it’s compulsory and also it’s necessary as it has mazes of path ways + historical information worth paying for. We were group of 8 and paid approximately Rs. 500
The ruins of the British Residency in Lucknow, built between 1780 and 1800, played a big role in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 as it was besieged by the British during the Siege of Lucknow. The complex consists of several buildings set in an arcade, and is now a popular tourist attraction.
The Residency is a beautiful historical site in the heart of Lucknow. As you walk through its ancient gates, you can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The well-preserved ruins and lush gardens make for a picturesque setting, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful retreat.
himadri ghosh — Google review
British construction has always been fascinating and this place has a lot of historical tales to share. The ruins looks picturesque and the wide open spaces are refreshing with the peaceful chirping sounds of the birds around.
It was not too crowded when I went here and the place was fairly well maintained in terms of cleanliness. Good place to hangout and do some photoshoots.
Boy On The Saddle Alfred — Google review
One of the best location in the middle of Lucknow city adjacent to High court.
It is a historic place and they have maintained it very well, all structures are great and the whole place is very clean and Greenery.
The buildings are in good shape and the main building which is in the centre is a Museum which is included in the entry ticket which is absolutely free, you only have to show the ticket while entering the museum.
Giving four star only because of some couples I saw, they are using this place as a private place to do timepass and I have also noticed that there are names scratched and written on the wall on all buildings which is very shameful for such a beautiful place, UP government should take very serious action on this issue.

Old Heritage Site at Lucknow.
Important place of 1857 revolt and British rule in Oudh. But not well protected by ASI
Local people's are not very aware for their monument.
Ticket price is 20 rs for Indians and 300 rs for foreigners.
Security staff's are very rude and non cooperative. A small museum inside the place but closed on Friday.
Nitesh Kumar — Google review
It is a very well maintained historical site; one of great turmoil during the annexation of Awadh. I didn't like the tone/language that painted Indians as villains in some of the boards here, but maybe that's too much nitpicking.
Loved seeing the various buildings and wondering what a bustling little township it might have been. The museum is also well maintained and gives a very insightful account of the First War of Indian Independence

If you are ever in Lucknow, make sure to set aside some time to visit the Residency. It's a fascinating piece of history that will captivate you. Trust me, you will be amazed! The Residency is a beautiful old place in the center of Lucknow. When you go through its old gates, you will feel amazed and curious. The ancient buildings and nice gardens make it a pretty spot for a calm walk or a peaceful break. The Residency was part of the events in 1857 and the museum inside shows you what happened during that time.

Located in the heart of the city The Residency was once a residence complex for the British Resident General, but was abandoned after the 1857 Revolt. Now it exists as ruins and is a major tourist attraction of Lucknow.
The complex is significantly large with green and calm surroundings. It also contains the 1857-Memorial Museum. It is definitely one of the best places for outing with friends or family.

Significance: -
The Residency, also called as the British Residency and Residency Complex, is a group of several buildings in a common precinct in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It served as the residence for the British Resident General who was a representative in the court of the Nawab.
Quiet place and also good to visit. Entry ticket 10 rupees and the museum cost is also somewhat 10 or 20 .
Try to clean the campus and clean and enjoy the essence of history.

The place offers you peace and a look into history. A great place to enjoy greenery and monumental structures. There is a museum also showing 1857 revolution and relevant historical pieces. The museum is Closed on every Friday, so avoid visiting on Friday. However, for families and children this isn't an ideal place because lot of couples hangout there and perform physical intimacy. Their inappropriate act make this place reasonably awkard for families. Authorities should take note of this. Otherwise, it's great.

Must visit place in Lucknow for someone who is eager to know about past history of British and Nawabs . Shattered Buildings are really pretty also there is a Museum .
Crowd is never too much even Sunday is not much crowded. Tickets are easily available outside in both online and offline mode. Location is in the heart of the city.
Nidhi jaiswal — Google review
The best place to visit on our trip to Lucknow. The place is really quaint and abundant in nature. The ruins are extensively spread out and calls for a nice walk in a good weather.
Not a typical touristy place and you will love it only if you like quite solitary places. It has a small museum as well. You will like the place only if you are a fan of history.
Side Note : This place has been promoted from the POV of Britishers and the revolt of 1857 by Indians has not been highlighted from Indian point of view.
Ashwin Kumar — Google review
Remnants of the British Cantonment area . A wonderful window into how the settlement was created in the heart of Lucknow . Historical significance around the Sepoy mutiny of 1857.
It makes for a good walk - but if you can make it early - while there are trees , the paths do not have too much shade , so it is tough when hot . Fortunately paths are flat so folks on wheelchair 🦽 can also visit , with assistance .
Avinash Venkataraman — Google review
Very large area for quiet reflection and walking. Not too crowded. For those interested, it's a piece of nuanced history of violence (not all justified) towards freedom.
The grounds are well-maintained (thanks to the staff actively working there). Several interesting ruins of buildings as well as monuments erected in remembrance. The museum is small, but has a very nice summary of the history of the region.
Babak Momeni — Google review
Nothing much to see here. This place contains empty buildings and great lawns. Ticket for enterance costs 25Rs. They have a paid parking available and charges for that was 20Rs.
Best time to visit here will be on evening. Since there are no sun shades (only trees) this place becomes pretty hot.
They have toilets which were neat n clean.

Old and big space. Maintenance is really nice but structures are old and tell its own history. Closes by 6:30pm. Museum closes by 5pm

The Residency, a fascinating historical site protected by the ASI. This unique complex is home to various building ruins such as the Baillie Guard Gate, Treasury, Banquet Hall, Doctor Fayrer’s House, The Main Building, Begum Kothi, and more. Each structure tells a story of its own. One of the best things is its maintenance and cleanliness. As an Indian resident, you need an entry ticket priced at Rs. 25. If you're looking for a place to dive deep into the past, this is a must-visit spot. The entire complex is packed with historical significance and will take you at least 2 hours or more to explore. There's some ongoing renovation work happening at the Imambara. Note: if you plan on visiting on a Friday, the museum inside will be closed, the site itself is still open

📍 Lucknow Residency
Step back in time at the historic Lucknow Residency, a witness to the pivotal First War of Independence in 1857. Spread across 33 acres, the ruins narrate the siege endured by the British stronghold. The Residency's foundations were laid in 1775, evolving into an exclusive European settlement. The attack by Indian soldiers in 1857 led to a gripping 86-day captivity for the British within these walls. Now a museum, it offers a vivid glimpse into the struggle for freedom with original models, lithographs, and a compelling diorama. A must-visit to delve into India's rich history. #Lucknow #1857Revolt #HistoricalGem

A historical monument where each wall carries some stories of Sepoy Mutiny. There are also history related to the Audh Nawabs. The building complex is quite large and you will need 1.5 - 2 hrs to cover it properly. The official opening time is 9 am. The staff was kind and courteous. It was zero crowded at that time and we enjoyed our visit in peace. Bonus was many birds and squirrels who kept playing in the morning warmness.
If you are in Lucknow, definitely visit this place preferably towards early morning

This place was the residence of the British people. It is said that this is a haunted area and people are not allowed here at night. 5:30pm is the exit time from this place. Otherwise the old building of the Britishers are still there though they are the remains only. We were able to see beautiful peacocks here. The museum here was closed as we went on a public holiday.

I liked the place. Really serene, quiet. You can hear birds chirping. You can see lots of parrots in the tree top. Well maintained toilets. Great for photography. Not much to see in the museum but good. Very less crowded. You can get an idea of old soldier colonies or camps.
No tuck shops or canteen etc inside. Time taken to visit min 1 hr - 3 hr.

One of the important tourist places in Lucknow to visit. Lot of history hidden here. The lawns were clean and a lot of structures within the whole complex along with the description written for the same. Lots of places to take pictures and etc. I went with my friend here on a weekend and surprisingly there was not much of a crowd. Parking is limited, easy for a bike or scooter. Entry fee was about 20-30 INR per head.

Very big campus was the official place of British Resident. The place witnessed the great fight between rebellious Indian against the British in 1857. The building are still in a condition left after the great mutiny. One can still see cannon and bullet marks on the walls of the dilapidated buildings. A must visit to witness the remains of 1857 revolt in Lucknow

Do visit this place during daylight, since it gets closed in the evening and the museum remains closed on FRIDAYs. This place is so picturesque and holds a very rich history. Certain mosque within this residency are still functional. The price for tickets (Indians-Rs25) (Foreigners-Rs400).Talking about the place it reflects the history of colonisation in Lucknow. The construction of the Residency was started in the late 1700s by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daulah, however, it was completed by Nawab Saadat Ali Khan. After a few years of the construction, it became British personnels’ hub. In the initial years, they were just the delegates of the East India Company. However, as the reign of British East India expanded, the city of Lucknow became their administrative centre, and as an effect of that, the Residency also came under the British commissioner of Awadh. The biggest event that this place has been a part of, is the first war of Independence which held in the year 1857. One of the main centres of this entire siege was Lucknow and the main target was The Residency. Cannons and bullets destroyed the major part of this place and even today, the traces of that revolt can still be seen at The Residency.

I went to the Residency after decades. It was a perfect day to sight see The upkeep is exemplary, the entrance ticket was INR 25.
There are a lot of ancient peepul and bargad trees bearing silent witness to the violent events that unfolded here during the revolt of 1857.
Most impressive were the write ups to the various locations in Braille. I haven't seen this feature anywhere else in the world !!
Lots of people were sweeping and keeping the grounds and ruins really clean.
There were hardly any people around.
Should be a must see for everybody. It was comparable to any monument/ruin say in Europe.
Great job by the people in charge of the maintenance.👌🙌

I didn't enjoy the place, the vibe was very anti hindu.

It was well maintained and I like that ASI has put an option of buying tickets online, thus saving whatever paper they could.
The ticket price was Rs. 25.

Orchha cycling Adventure is a 16th-century complex featuring a fort, palaces, and temple. It can be accessed via an arched bridge and is situated near the Betwa river in India. Despite its historical significance, it is often overlooked by tourists and requires preservation and renovation. The palaces within the fort boast beautiful construction and architecture, making them worth exploring for lengthy periods of time.
Perfect place for hangout for single day trip. Not much to explore. There only visiting centre of about 1 km.
Avoid in summers. Good to go from your own vehicle.
For solo travelers, nearest railway station is jhansi which is about 20 km. You can find local bus from Jhansi bus station. Fare is rs. 30 per head. After sunset, it is difficult to find return bus.

Magnificent architecture telling tales of history. Orchha is very clean & peaceful place to visit. Localities are very humble.
Note - It's cleaner than you can imagine, please let it be like that :)

A fort worth visiting, Entire Betwa River Valley is visible from top.The River Betwa, flowing through the heritage town of Orchha, adds a scenic feather to the places to visit in Orchha. Organised light and sound show, many other events are tourists attractions in the heritage town of Orchha and its surrounding places.
Apart from the majestic sunset views overlooking the river, forts and Temples it offers a glimpse into the History of Bundelkhand.

What a beautiful place! Forts inside are so so so beautiful. The tickets are a basic Rs. 10 per head for Indians,.which is used throughout, from the first fort to the Cenotaphs at the end, such a bargain! An experience of a lifetime.

This place is Magic. If you are going to Gwalior or nearby places or south UP then you must stop here for an entire day and witness this magnificent place. There wasn’t any rush when I visited but try visiting in the morning or in the evening time. Sound and Light show also happens in the evening.
On the other side there are two famous temples so visit those as well.
Almost a few meters from there you will get to find the Chattris on the bank of river. Boating also happens over there.
One mistake that I did was to follow good maps to reach there, it took me to internal villages and no roads kind of roads. So, take highway only and you will reach there easily.

This fort was built in the 16th century by King Vir Singh and his descendant Bundela Rajputs. Fort is as mesmerizing as like many other forts in India.
The major thing about Orchha is the Rama Raja Temple of lord Ram who is the king as well as lord of this town. In this fort the main attraction is Jahangir mahal which is a mix of hindu and mughal dynasty, and other attractions are Raja ram mahal and behind this the beauty of Betwa river from the fort.

It was a 40 minutes drive from jhansi and the beauty was unexpected. Words won't do any justice. Not a big tourist spot yet among us Indians but international tourists there were way more than indians. It should be on everyone go-to list. Such an important Historic Hindu place it is

Orchha is believed to have been established in 16th century by Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh and after undergoing many changes it got its glory during the reign of Raja Madhukar Shah who constructed his palace in the fort complex, named as Raja Mahal in early 17th century. He was a deeply religious person and the palace constructed by him is decorated with beautiful murals showing the stories of Indian gods and their stories. How these 500 year old intricately designed murals painted in different colors are still intact is a great surprise and testimony to those ancient artists who were expert in the science of beautiful colors used.
In fact the Orchha fort complex has no signs of fort but a conglomerate of many palaces constructed within a 2km area with Betwa river on one side. Beside Raja Mahal is the more popular Jahangir Mahal, that was constructed by the next king. It got its name as such because next Orchha king Bir Singh had made it for the stay of Moghul Emperor, Jahangir but he never stayed there. Jahangir Mahal does not have any murals or paintings and its construction design is a mix of Hindu/Mogul architect. It is a five story structure and gives a view of Orchha town, cenotaphs, Laxmi Narayana Palace and many other structures. A Light and Sound program is also arranged here on every evening in Hindi and English languages and is very interesting as it narrates the story of Moghul Emperor Akbar's interest in the beautiful queen/poetess of Raja Indermani and sending her back impressed by her poetic reply to Akbar. The program also highlights the valour stories of famous warriors, Chartrasal brothers etc. and court manipulations.

Beautiful fort and serenity around. But there are a lot of scribblings on the walls (irresponsible behavior from people towards cultural heritage). Entry tickets cost only Rs. 50. There are audio guides available at each place.

Orchha fort complex is one of the very underrated tourists places in India, located near Betwa river the fort is very beautiful and resembles history at every single place inside the complex.
Unfortunately, the fort complex is not well maintained and they need to preserve and renovate.
The construction and architecture of the palaces inside the fort are very beautifully done and you will love spending more and more time inside. If you are visiting during the winter then try visiting before 4 else you will not able to witness the beauty of this place.

It is a great place like everything in Orchha. But there has been a major fall back lately - the ticket price for foreigners hiked from 250 to 2000 rupees, which is costlier than Taj or Lal Qila. It doesn't make sense at all since this place haven't even become popular enough among tourists yet, and covid just killed all tourist industry inside the town. That is the reason why I am changing my rating and giving less stars. Else Orchha is one of my favorite places in India.

One of the best forts I came across. The management did a great job in maintaining it. To visit this place you need to buy the tickets. If you buy oneline then single tickets will be used to visit all the places and monuments in Orchha.
The architecture and the interior is amazing and the place is hygienic. Most of the walls and paintings are as it is. One can get the view of Chaturbhuj temple, betwa river, agriculture field through different directions from the fort. One can also go behind the fort to see the river and the route to the river is peaceful and full of fresh air. It's a walkable distance and I'm sure you're gonna enjoy that as well. This fort is worth a visit.

Orchha Fort is a generic term, because it contains three palaces (Raja, Jahangir and Sheesh), a beautiful garden and more. It is not in a bad condition, but certainly could do with more funds to restore it to obviously better times. There is enough to see in Orchha to easily fill a day. It worth visiting all sites with a good guide.
The fort was built following the founding of the Orchha State in 1501 AD by Rudra Pratap Singh (r. 1501–1531), a Bundela Rajput. The palaces and temples within the fort complex were built over a period of time by successive Maharajas of the Orchha State. Of these, the Raja Mandir or Raja Mahal was built by Madhukar Shah who ruled from 1554 to 1591. Jahangir Mahal and Sawan Bhadon Mahal were built during the reign of Vir Singh Deo (r. 1605–1627). The features of "pepper pots and domes" seen in the fort complex, inspired Lutyens in the architecture of the structures which he built in New Delhi.

The Royal Chhatris, also known as cenotaphs, are a collection of 14 royal tombs located along the picturesque Kanchan Ghat on the banks of River Betwa in Orchha. These historic monuments were constructed in the 17th and 18th centuries to honor the rulers of the Bundela dynasty. The most magnificent among them is Bir Singh Deo's Chhatri, which displays Islamic architectural elements and represents the archaeological brilliance of the Bundelas.
The Royal Chhatris in Orchha are a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply beautiful scenery. These 14 cenotaphs, or tombs, of the Bundela rulers are located on the banks of the Betwa River and are a stunning example of Indo-Mughal architecture.
The chhatris are best visited in the morning or evening, when the light is soft and the colors are more vibrant
I highly recommend visiting the Royal Chhatris in Orchha. They are a truly unforgettable sight and a testament to the rich history and culture of this region.

One comes across the conical peaks by the banks of Betwa River. These are the Cenotaphs of Orccha. These 14 funeral monuments were built to keep the Kings of Bunelkhand alive in the Indian history. Please note, these are not the same as the Pyramids built for Egyptian Pharaohs. In Hinduism, the dead bodies are cremated and the ashes are immersed in the river. Hence the Centophs of Orccha were not meant for preserving dead bodies for the next life.
These cenotaphs are called as Chhatris (umbrella) by the locals. They look similar, except the one made for Vir Singh Deo- the most successful Bundela Raja. The size of the Chhatri perhaps was decided basis the length of the reign of those rulers. These cenotaphs talk about the stories of the kings on its colossal structure.
These cenotaphs have a unique design. They are tall, square buildings, constructed on raised platforms with a domed pavilion on top called chhatri. It is a type of trabeate domed canopy, resembling an umbrella. Though these are not burial grounds as Hindus are cremated, the cenotaphs are just empty structures.
These chhatris, though have become the living quarters of a critically endangered species of vultures, even if there is no immediate scavenging opportunity. Vultures are usually roosting on the rooftops or soaring high in the sky. The vulture population in India has been on a decline, due to use of a cattle drug which becomes a part of the carcass and harms the vulture. The cenotaphs are also home to emerald parakeets.
The cenotaphs turn into golden colour when sunlight falls on them; and by evening they are back to their stone form. May be it just mirrors the story of the Bundelkhand kingdom and Orchha, a once prosperous kingdom now is now reduced to a monument!
Cenotaphs can’t be compared with the intricate carvings of Khajuraho temples or the architechture of Mandu , but they are unique. While the cenotaphs are definitely the highlight of Orchha , there is more to be explored . Here are the top things to be experienced in Orccha.

Nestled along the banks of the picturesque Betwa River, the Chhatris of Orchha emerge as ethereal monuments, harmonizing with nature's beauty.
The Chhatris, or cenotaphs, in Orchha are architectural marvels that showcase the finesse of Bundela craftsmanship. Each chhatri is a testament to the artistic prowess of the era, characterized by intricately carved domes, ornate pillars, and delicate details that stand as poetic expressions in stone.
Built in memory of Orchha's rulers, the Chhatris carry the weight of historical narratives. Each cenotaph is a silent guardian of the tales of valiance and legacy, contributing to the cultural heritage of Orchha.
The intricate carvings adorning the Chhatris are awe-inspiring. From floral patterns to mythological motifs, the detailing reflects a profound understanding of artistry and storytelling, adding layers of meaning to the structures.
The Chhatris offer a mesmerizing spectacle during sunset. As the golden hues of the evening sun kiss the stone surfaces, the monuments come alive in a warm glow, creating a breathtaking panorama that leaves an indelible impression.
The Chhatris of Orchha offer a soul-stirring journey through time and art. Their silent presence by the riverbanks creates a timeless tableau, inviting visitors to be captivated by the seamless blend of history, architecture, and nature.

Situated 1.5 km from Orchha Fort along the banks of River Betwa, the Royal Chhatris, or Cenotaphs, stand as historic monuments in Orchha. Comprising fifteen chattris along Kanchan Ghat, these structures honor the rulers of the Bundelkhand dynasty. Notable ones include those dedicated to Madhukar Shah, Bir Singh Deo, Jaswant Singh, Udait Singh, and Pahar Singh. Adorned in Indo-Mughal style, the three-story tombs with open sides and intricate domes reflect the grandeur of the Bundela dynasty. Among them, Bir Singh Deo's cenotaph stands out for its unique architecture and beautifully painted domes. Viewed best from a narrow bridge, these Chhatris cast enchanting reflections on the river's cool waters. Open from 9 AM to 5 PM, the complex entrance is covered under the Fort Complex Entry Fee.

The Kandariya Mahadev Temple is one of the 22 Hindu and Jain temples constructed by the Chandella rulers between 950 A.D. and 1050 A.D. It is located in Khajuraho, India and is considered the most impressive example of Chandela architecture. The temple measures 30.5m in length and features an astounding collection of sculptures depicting female beauty and acrobatics, with a total of 872 statues, some standing almost a meter tall.
The temple is built around an area of 6,500 square feet and has a height of about 117 feet measured from ground. All the temples including the Kandariya Mahadev faces the East, the exceptional being Chaturbhuja. The Kandariya Mahadev tempels has been built upon, adhishsthana which is a raised platform and which can be reached using a vertical steps. Inside the temple, the whole lot of chambers are connected to each other in a well organized fashion. There is a rectangular hall at the entrance called as ardhamandapa and which leads to a central pillared hall called Mandapa which in turn leads to the Garbhagrha, the darkest sanctuary. Above the Garbhagrha is the main spire. There is a Linga or the devotional marble image of Lord Shiva inside the sanctuary. The decorative artistic designs and the architecture throughout the building have been showcased in a certain Hindu iconographic pattern. Both on the exterior and interior of the temple walls, the pillars and the ceilings has the depiction of the four basic pursuits of life; Moksha, Kama, Dharma and Artha.

Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, India
The Kandariya Mahadeva temple was built during the reign of Vidyadhara (r. c. 1003-1035 CE). At various periods of the reign of this dynasty many famous temples dedicated to Vishnu, Shiva, Surya, Shakti of the Hindu religion and also for the Thirthankaras of Jain religion were built. This is without any doubt the largest and most magnificent temple in Khajuraho. The elegant proportions of this building and its sculptural detailing are the most refined examples of this artistic heritage of central India.
Kandariya Mahadev shares its high platform with the small Mahadev shrine and the medium - sized Devi The Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, 31 metres (102 ft) in height, is in the western complex, which is the largest among the three groups of the Khajuraho complex of temples. This western group of temples, consisting of the Kandariya, Matangeshwara and Vishvanatha temples, is compared to a "cosmic design of a hexagon (a yantra or Cosmo gram)" representing the three forms of Shiva. The temple architecture is an assemblage of porches and towers which terminates in a shikhara or spire, a feature which was common from the 10th century onwards in the temples of Central India.
The temple is founded on a massive plinth of 4 meters (13 ft) height. The temple structure above the plinth is dexterously planned and pleasingly detailed. The superstructure is built in a steep mountain shape or form, symbolic of Mount Meru which is said to be the mythical source of creation of the world. The superstructure has richly decorated roofs which rise in a grand form terminating in the shikara, which has 84 miniature spires. The temple is in layout of 6 square kilometers (2.3 sq. mi), of which 22 are extant including the Kaṇḍāriyā Mahādeva Temple. This temple is characteristically built over a plan of 31 meters (102 ft) in length and 20 metres (66 ft) in width with the main tower soaring to a height of 31 meters (102 ft), and is called the "largest and grandest temple of Khajuraho". A series of steep steps with high rise lead from the ground level to the entrance to the temple. The layout of the temple is a five-part design, a commonality with the Lakshmana and Vishvanatha temples in the Khajuraho complex. Right at the entrance there is torana, a very intricately carved garland which is sculpted from a single stone; such entrances are part of a Hindu wedding procession. The carvings on the entrance gate shows the "tactile quality of the stone and also the character of the symmetrical design" that is on view in the entire temple which has high relief carvings of the figurines. Finely chiseled, the decorative quality of the ornamentation with the sharp inscribed lines has "strong angular forms and brilliant dark-light patterns". The carvings are of circles, undulations giving off spirals or sprays, geometric patterns, masks of lions and other uniform designs which has created a pleasant picture that is unique to this temple, among all others in the complex.

This is a Hindu temple called the Kandariya Mahadeva, the largest and tallest of the surviving temples at the temple site of Khajuraho, in central India. It is dedicated to Shiva, who is represented by the linga in the main shrine known as the womb chamber located at the heart of the building.
Hindu temples are designed along axis points that extend from the heart of the chamber upward through the line of the main tower (shikara) and outward in the cardinal directions. The main deity image is located in the central shrine, and the outside of the shrine and the exterior of the temple are richly decorated with sculptures. In some design schemes, one views the entire range of existence looking upwards from bottom to top, with plant and animal life near the bottom and the gods and semi-divine beings in various sculptural registers extending towards the heavens at the temple’s summit. The steeply rising superstructure, and overall mountainous form of this temple are references to the mythical source of creation, the primordial Mount Meru, around which the world came into being.
The Khajuraho temples sit on very large platforms, and it is thought that originally there may have been a lake here beneath them. An association between temple sites and water is appropriate, as an essential part of Hindu worship is ritual bathing, required by the devout in order to purify themselves before entering the sacred area of the temple.
The majority of Hindu temples in north and central India were built between the Gupta period (roughly 300–700 CE) and the 1100s. The temples at Khajuraho are considered among the highpoints of classical Hindu architecture in the northern (nagara) style . This temple and more than 80 others were built by the Chandella kings, who ruled this area of central India between 950–1050 CE. Some temples, such as those at Khajuraho, survived because they were located in remote locations, removed from the conflict and warfare of political and urban centers. Even today, one must fly to Khajuraho, or take a full-day car ride from any other major city center.
Some of the earliest Hindu temples were carved out of living rock and freestanding stone temples evolved gradually after that. Western-style arches and vaults were never used, but masons carved fine sandstone in numerous pieces, which were then assembled and sometimes pinned together using metal rods.
The Khajuraho temples are famous around the world for their fine statuary, many of which depict loving couples, sometimes in erotic poses. These images were disturbing to early European visitors, and even now confound many viewers. Scholars debate the meaning of these images, offering multiple explanations. One interpretation is that they show tantric ritual symbolism. “Tantric” refers to esoteric texts and techniques used in both Hindu and Buddhist practices that offer a direct path to enlightenment or spiritual release using the body’s natural energies as a starting point. Thus, physical pleasure, and more specifically a controlled experience of physical pleasure, could be a path to spiritual achievement. Such imagery may also challenge to the viewer to move beyond the earthly experience of physical pleasure into higher spiritual goals. The location of these loving couples on the temple walls, between the meeting hall portion of the temple and the inner sanctum, seems critical to their interpretation.
Various esoteric and mainstream texts describe sexual activities and postures, including the comprehensively categorical Kama Sutra. It is likely that these erotic sculptures take such texts as the source of their subject matter. Aesthetically, these sculptures are highly sophisticated, expressing virtuosity in their rendering of human figures, expression and interaction, and an extremely imaginative vision of physical acrobatics.

The architecture, style and beauty of temples in India are celebrated across the world. The extraordinary architecture of these ancient shrines attracts an increasing number of both national and international visitors every year. The origin of temple construction can be traced back to the pre-historic era when the reign of ancient rulers flourished in the country. Building beautiful temples. as we know has a rich heritage of composite culture. It exudes diversity in every nook and corner. It is one of the very few countries in the world that celebrates festivals and worships deities with glory and grandeur. It is only justified for a country that is the center of spirituality in the world to be bejeweled with such beautiful specimens of temple architecture in India.🇮🇳

Kandariya Mahadev Temple in Khajuraho is a masterpiece of ancient Indian architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is famous for its intricate carvings and sculptures that depict various mythological stories and scenes from daily life. The temple is a perfect example of the Nagara style of architecture and is one of the largest and most ornate temples in the Khajuraho group. The temple is well-maintained, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, a visit to Kandariya Mahadev Temple is a must for anyone interested in ancient Indian architecture and history.

This is Mahadev Bhagwan Shiva ji temple which is so nice. But on that time no light here so we got scared of the Statue in the temple. But later we loved it. Outside the temple there is so many sculptures on the wall of the temple you will see the sculptures are about Kamasutra so be careful to go with minors.

This is the biggest temple in the Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple on a raised platform has Jagdambi temple adjoining. Adorned by sculptures of celestial bodies and erotic figures, Kandaiya Mahadev attracts maximum visitors throughout the day. The sculptures aland stone work are exceptional work of ancient times that continue to charm everyone.
Best time to visit is morning before 9am or in evening since it gets extremely hot in between.

The sheer scale is awe-inspiring. As you approach the temple, its towering shikhara (spire) pierces the sky, adorned with intricate carvings that seem to whisper tales of a bygone era. The intricately carved figures that line the base set the stage for an encounter with artistic brilliance.
A Journey Through Stone:
Step onto the platform, and you embark on a visual odyssey. Every inch of the temple is adorned with sculptures, depicting gods, goddesses, celestial beings, and mythical creatures. The craftsmanship is unparalleled, each figure imbued with life and emotion. From the playful apsaras (celestial maidens) to the stoic guardians, each carving tells a story, waiting to be unraveled.
Beyond the Carvings:
While the erotic sculptures often grab attention, the temple's true beauty lies in its architectural harmony. The interplay of light and shadow on the carved surfaces, the intricate mandapas (halls), and the soaring shikhara create a sense of awe and wonder. Take a moment to appreciate the symmetry, the intricate details, and the sheer engineering marvel that held this structure together for centuries.
A Spiritual Sanctuary:
Beyond the artistic spectacle, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple remains a place of devotion. The sanctum sanctorum houses a Shiva linga, and the atmosphere within is serene and calming. Witnessing aarti (offering of light) or simply soaking in the peaceful ambiance adds another dimension to your experience.

The most beautiful temple in the entire northern part of India. I have seen many temples but this one has crossed every other in terms of architecture.
A Temple of Shiv : the ultimate God, the god of gods. Which has no particular form and is present everywhere.
Tarun Tomar — Google review
The Kandariya Mahadev is the largest and most evolved temple in Khajuraho in terms of the blending of architecture and sculpture, and one of the finest in India. Probably built around 1020, it follows the five-shrine design; and its central shikhara, which towers 102 ft above the platform, is actually made up of 84 subsidiary towers building up in increments. The feeling of ascent is repeated inside, where each succeeding mandapam is a step above the previous one, and the garbha griha is higher still; dedicated to Shiva, this inner sanctum houses a marble linga with a 4-ft circumference. Even the figures on this temple are taller and slimmer than that elsewhere. The rich interior carving includes two beautiful toranas (arched doorways); outside, three bands of sculpture around the sanctum and transept bring to life a whole galaxy of Hindu gods and goddesses, mithunas, celestial handmaidens, and lions.

This is the largest and the loftiest temple located in the premises of the Western Group of Temple Complex in Khajuraho.
This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The outer walls are covered with sculptures of apsaras, dasis, mythical creatures and gods and goddesses in painstaking detail to form and proportion.
It is a breathtaking monument and one wonders how such structures were erected that have stood the test of time without even a scratch, whereas today's structures built by the best engineers have such a short lifespan!!

Other animals include white tigers, leopards and deer. The mix of tropical forest, Sal trees and grassland is home to scores of bird species, including eagles. To the south are the remains of the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort.

This must be saved, preserved under the world heritage site. There are some Buddhist caves and statues around 2000 years old but are not in good condition. A team of experts surveyed more than 40 caves several days amidst all dangers in the dense forest. These are Buddhist caves. Most of these are related to Buddhism. Locals believe there can be more than 100 caves in Bandhavgarh Park area. There's a lot of Kushan-e-era Brahmi records. Survey of five big temples has been done so far. The heights are parakottedar forts. Caves, temples, records and large statues scattered among the forest in the plain area. The statues are up to 20 feet tall.
Overall this is a very good archeological and historical site. It should be preserved well.

Such a wonderful place to explore the erstwhile richness of 10th century.
It is located on the hills of Bandhavgarh tiger reserve, rising 811 meters above sea level.
No records are available to show when Bandhavgarh fort was constructed. It is thought, however, to be some 2000 years old.
Maharaja Vikramaditya Singh moved his capital to Rewa. The last inhabitants deserted the fort in 1935.
My good luck you can say that I have visited this fort few times and seen its remaining natural history and the ariel landscape view of the reserve.

Marble Rocks in Jabalpur is a such a gem of nature that you will feel inspired. Nestled along the Narmada River, this geological wonder is massive and has a beatiful landscaping. One of the most magical moments was witnessing the Dhuandhar Falls, where the Narmada River plunges dramatically through a narrow gorge. Go only weekday to avoid rush and must go in winters.
The boat ride people may try to scam you but you cant do much as they will not take you further unless you give them additional money. There are kids who will jump from heights for 50 rupees but its really scary and risky.

Stunning natural beauty, one of the unique soft rock formations popularly known as Marble rocks of Narmada. The place close to jabalpur city in a small town, earlier it was surrounded by forest around, but it looks more like a small town with narmada flowing through majestic rocks, one has to experience it closely is possible by boating only (sunrise to little before sunset) do check the timings beforehand. There are limited stay facilities private hotels, the best option is state tourism's Resort right on the edge with a view from the resort. Accomodation is standard not great the property is gone old need to revamp it, although rooms and tents are good with amenities. Inhouse resturant is available with good food options, one can get good stay options of the choice at jabalpur city which is 25 kms away. Highly recommended to explore this amazing natural beauty. Good for families and friends, For senior citizens now they have got lift service by mpt tourism at nominal cost, so now no need to walk through steep steps. Winters are the best time to explore.

Excellent natural beauty by white/gray rocks, stones, excellent ambient , and boating experience are v. good. boating is a must when visiting this place.
For these two natural beauties, we have the mighty Narmada River to thank for. The river, as it flows through the landscape, crosses this beautiful marble gorge. The marble here is soft, and the flow of the river has carved out about 8 km of this gorge. Dhuandhar Waterfall is a scenic cascade located in India. The waterfall generates a tremendous amount of mist and fog due to its height and force, hence the name "Dhuandhar," meaning smoky cascade. It is situated on the Narmada River, which forms an impressive gorge as it flows through the marble rocks. The surrounding area is picturesque with lush greenery and diverse flora that enhances its natural beauty.
Iconic and so so stunning! Absolutely Magnificent and shouldn't be missed when you're in Bhedaghat. You can easily spend a good amount of time here, try going around 5pm, For the best views and lesser crowds!

The Dhuandhar Water Fall is Located in Bhedaghat 4-5 Km from Bhopal Road and Around 25 Km From Jabalpur Railway Station towards Bhopal Road.
The word 'Dhuandhar' is derived from two Hindi words - Dhuan (smoke) and Dhar (flow), meaning a waterfall where one can feel a smoky atmosphere (this smoke is formed by water vapour or the smoke cascade).
The Dhuandhar Falls is located on the Narmada River in Bhedaghat and are 30 meters high. The Narmada River, making its way through the world-famous Marble Rocks, narrows down and then plunges into a waterfall known as Dhuandhar. The plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist, is so powerful that its roar can be heard from a far distance.

Dhuandhar or Smoke Cascade because dhuan means Smoke, the water falling from 10 m ht forms a mist which gives a effect of smoke emanating from the river bed.

Bee waterfalls, so named on account of a large number of bee hives ever present in the mountain rocks, crevices and ledges. Source of water supply to Panchmarhi. Flowing water is available in all seasons. One has to descend a large number of steps of uneven height to reach to the bottom of the falls. Returning back to the top by the same steps requires more effort.
Persons lacking walking practice and those with medical conditions as well as senior citizens are advised not to attempt this trip.
Along the way to the falls are sightseeing spots and a flowing water stream.
Beware of langoors.

Bee Fall is the most famous and must visit attraction of Pachmarhi. Although you need to go down through stairs but the waterfall from the height of about 150 feets amazed you about this natural beauty.
It was a must visit place with family and friends.

Must visit place if you are in Pachmarhi. Bathing is allowed in this place. Lots of tracking is there. Not recommended for old age people. Very steep stairs (300-400) to reach the bee falls. Tip: try to visit it in 1st half of the day otherwise lots of crowd

Few kilometres from Pachmadhi, this is an amazing place with abundance of nature. It's a natural water fall oozing out of rocks. But you have to go down and climb back nearly four hundred steps !
You need a permit from the forest department as this fall is in the core area.

Bees waterfall is a great place to visit. There are around 400 steps you need to descend to reach the place. Not recommended for people with joint pains as it is a bit of stress. For such people you can enjoy the mini waterfall which is around 50-60 steps on the way to bees waterfall. It can get crowded depending on the day you visit. Carry extra clothes with you and towels to dry.

Nice place. Before going down stair take rest as much as u can. Steps are so big. Maintain one speed to come up. Don't be in hurry. Try to cover this fall in the of your day.

Bee fall is the main spot in Panchmadi, this place is so beautiful and relaxing for eyes and mind.
Special thing about this place is that you can take a natural shower in the fall and it will give you a very good massage. After taking shower, i was so relaxed and wanted to sleep there😂.
In Panchmadi this is the only place which will be always in mind and i will visit Panchmadi once again due this waterfall only.

Dhupgarh is a majestic mountain peak in the Satpura Range, standing tall at 1,352m. It offers breathtaking views of the sunset and is located near the scenic Pachmarhi hill station. The summit provides a mesmerizing vista that can be enjoyed with friends and family alike, where one can witness the perfect combination of sun and fog.
Perfect place to watch sunrise and sunset at the same place. Highest peak of Satpura Range.

In April it didn't feel like hill station yeah after 6pm you will find the weather was pleasant otherwise it was just bearable hot.
One thing more if you want to go place name mahadev. Please go in the morning. Because it takes 3.5 km ... Height straight and will take 3 hours up and down (personal vehicle can be taken) and rented bikes are available there.

A must visit place if you're in Pachhmari.
It's at the height of 4420ft from the sea level. The views from here are mesmerizing.
You don't need to climb here, the safari vehicle (you have to book it from Bison lodge) will take you to the top and then you can roam around and have some pictures.
While going up, you'll find an echo point where you can scream your name and in return you'll hear the same echo.
Overall it's worth visiting.
Note: People generally come here in the evening but I suggest you to cover this spot during the day itself (If you need to leave at the evening time for your home). Because, the rush in the evening is very high.
Sunset, you can cover in the Pandav Caves.
(Ask your driver for more information)

People visit Dhupgarh, the highest peak of Madhya Pradesh, to see sunset 🌇 and sunrise 🌄. But visiting the peak in mansoon is definitely an amazing experience with clouds hanging around, passing through rain clouds.

It’s the place with mesmerising view from the top.
You can just sit and enjoy the sunset, Ofcourse clicking pictures with friends or family.

is the highest peak of the Satpura hill range and the view from the top can leave you awestruck. From the spiritual surroundings to the top view of the meandering streams, the peak offers views of the lesser Satpura ranges and Vindhya range.
The rough scarps along with ravines and clefts give this plateau a heavenly look and this peak is still lesser-known among the many Pachmarhi tourist places. The serene ecosystem and the Dhupgarh Fall are few of the main attraction here.

This is the highest point of satpura range. From top of this hill you can see wonderful view 😍. You can also see sun rise and sunset from here. Very peaceful place. Loved it.

One of the best place I have visited in panchmarhi among all the points that are covered in panchmarhi tour ride in gypsy.
Dhupgarh is the best point it's situated in the highest mountain top of the panchmarhi with the road built in the hills to reach here the way to reach this place is also amazing with few points of viewing the mountains of satpura that gives a scenic view and at last when we reach at the dhupgarh top the most amazing view is from here is of sunset 🌅.

Besides being the highest point in central India, the Sunset 🌇 is just wowww.

Pench National Park is very close to Nagpur, almost 80 km which takes around 1.5 hours by own car.

Pench Tiger Reserve, nestled in the heart of India, is a mesmerizing destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Spanning over 758 sq km across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, this reserve is named after the Pench River, which meanders through the park. Inspired by its stunning wilderness, Rudyard Kipling immortalized Pench in 'The Jungle Book', making it a place of global literary significance.
The reserve's biodiversity is its most compelling feature. Home to a significant population of majestic Royal Bengal tigers, Pench offers a high probability of tiger sightings.
Safaris in Pench are well-organized, with knowledgeable guides adding immense value to the wildlife experience. The thrill of encountering a tiger in its natural habitat is unparalleled and the heart of the Pench experience. However, it's not just about tigers; the park's overall ecosystem is a testament to successful conservation efforts. becoz we were not able to view the tigers so closely except Laxmi from far
In summary, Pench Tiger Reserve offers a quintessential Indian wildlife experience. Its rich biodiversity, high chance of tiger sightings, and captivating landscapes make it a standout destination. While there are conservation challenges, the reserve's commitment to protecting its diverse inhabitants is evident, making a visit here both exhilarating and enlightening.

Wonderful experience for kids and adults alike. Had some real good sightings of Tiger, Leopard, Deer, and Birds. The guides were extremely knowledgeable. It does get hot pretty soon though, so make sure you start early, around 5 15 or 5 30 from your resorts. From 6 AM to 9 AM, you should get some real good sightings time. Post that, afternoon safaris will get real hot, but greater chances of really good sightings. April to May is the prime season for sightings as well because the heat makes the animals wander out for water. will definitely come back here next year.

Been here twice. Sightings are good. Plenty of Tigers and leopards around.
All the guides and drivers are good. The forest officials take care of the park well.
The park is not very big compared to some of the other forest reserves in the country but it is nice. Teak trees primarily in the jungle. The safari pathways are well laid out and not very bumpy.
There are a few separate entries to the park but i have always taken the Turia gate entry. The park opens at exact time after proper verification.
It is about one and half hours drive from tbe Nagpur airport with enough stay options available.
Booking your safari in advance is advised.

It's a nice place far from the city crowd. If you're a nature Lover you'll love this place. There are 2 kinds of Safari night and day. I've done both. Animal sighting is more prominent in the day but experience in the jungle at night is something else.✨

Most have heard of the park and would have done enough research before visiting . DO NOT come with the expectation of seeing a tiger on safari . That needs a lot of luck . You could see deer . And when they take u to core sector , remember u r only allowed in 15 % or less of the core sector . It's the safari people job to say sighting done yesterday and full chance , but it's all on your luck .

It was a good experience, spotting tigers and a leopard on our initial safari was fortunate. For those less keen on animals, one visit with two safaris should be enough, especially if you're lucky enough to see tigers and leopards.
The experience could have been better further with a wider variety of animals to encounter.

One of the best national parks IMHO ... Multiple gates for safari. One can book stay n safari together. 4 safaris minimum are recommended. Turia gate experience was best. Very punctual, good coordinated execution. Driver n guide are knowledgeable. Chances of spotting a tiger or leopard are high here. Ample birds n other animals can b spotted easily. A good jungle experience I would say.

We planned this as a half day trip from Nagpur. 1.5 hours each way, 1-1.5 hours to visit the fort, temple, Kalidasa memorial etc., and if one wants to make a stop for breakfast/lunch (we stopped at MKHS plaza on the highway) - altogether 5-5.5 hours should be sufficient. A Swift Dzire rented car charged Rs.3,000.
This was somewhat a hurriedly planned trip, and hence, did not have the opportunity to research. Still, I felt there’s not much information available either on the government tourism websites or open internet. All I got to find out that this houses a place for Agastya-muni ashram, near which Lord Rama with his family came and stayed for some time during their exile. The present day temple was built by Nagpur’s Maratha ruler Raghuji Bhosale in 18th century… I assumed that the fort was probably built by Marathas also.
I didn’t see any signage of ASI etc, and I hope the fort and temple is preserved, documented from archeological perspective as well, if not already being done.
The fort and temple are easily accessible with not more than 50 steps all combined, I guess. The temples are very we maintained and clean. The view of Ramtek city from the top of the temple walls are breathtaking.
One should be careful about monkeys.
Restrooms are not in best of the shapes, and can certainly be improved for convenience of visitors.
Overall, very good experience as a half-day trip from Nagpur.

This Gadh Mandir is situated at Ram Tekadi ( Ram Hill ) in Ratek.. A very big temple of Lord Ram is here...Its a bhonsle dynasty temple architecture is very big & beautiful...Some renovation work is going on my last visit.. Ram Navami & Tipur Pornima are big festivals are celebrated here You may visit if you want to visit a temple as this is the most famous temple around Nagpur. By road, it takes around 90 mins to reach from Nagpur. After reaching, you may park at the base of the mountain and take the hundreds of steps to the temple, or you may drive to the top and then you would just need to climb around 25 to 30 steps that come after intervals.
The temple compound is clean, but devoid of maintenance. Old structures could have been maintained better.
The temple area is supposed to be full of monkeys, but fortunately we didnt see more than one troupe of 5-6 monkeys. These monkeys are know to snatch things from your hand, hoping to find food. It is advised that you do not carry any purse or mobile phone or any bag while visiting the temple.

There is also vary nice facility of resort inside the forest by the government also there are various private resort available in which you can get rooms through online booking. This sanctuary is the abode of about 36 species of reptiles belonging to 2 natural orders and 11 families out of which about 6 species are of endangered status namely Indian Rock Python, Dhaman, Indian Cobra, Russel's Viper, Checkered Keelback and Common Monitor.
The Gond kings once ruled these forests in the vicinity of the Bhandara. In 1970, 116.54 km2 (45.00 sq mi) was declared a Wildlife Sanctuary. In 2012, state government announced to merge this sanctuary with another national park to include in Saving tiger project
It is an important conservation unit in Central India in general and Vidarbha in particular. It acts a "Green-lung" for the adjoining human settlements and helps in maintaining the environmental balance.

Our trip to Nagzira in March 2020 turned out better than expected. We saw wild dogs (dhols), a female leopard, langur, spotted deer, sambar deer, nilgai, peacocks, gaur, wild boar, owl in the space of three safaris. The Central Indian jungle gives a serene feeling and it was very soothing to experience nature and wildlife from an open Jeep. Our driver and guide were friendly and knew the forest well though we had to often poke them to tell us few things. We stayed at FDCM Nagzira resort and it was quite a unique experience to stay inside the core zone of a tiger reserve.
Few people saw a leopard couple at the resort restaurant at night and there are almost always deer and langurs very close to the restaurant.

Beautiful architecture, clean and maintained. This place can accommodate a lot of devotees simultaneously. On some significant days like Chaturthis, naturally the temple becomes overcrowded, so they have police guiding the public and have proper inspection on the entrance. Although there's a huge parking inside, but you need to park your vehicle outside the temple's premises whenever it's overcrowded, since it would be overwhelming for the police to inspect every vehicle to prevent any mishap.
Besides lord Ganesha there are other idols of lord Shiv, Lakshmi, Hanuman, etc. On the entrance there are shops to buy garlands, flowers, camphor, incense sticks, etc. They have their own packages that would include all of these. The visitors can select accordingly. On the entrance there's a shoe stand, but you need to keep the token safe unless you want to go home barefooted!

Long-established national park known for its dense woodlands, diverse flora & Bengal tiger reserve.
Tadoba is one of my favorite Tiger Reserve park 🐅
Only one feedback I have is the forest department shall allow carrying mobile phones during Safari. All other National parks across India phones are allowed, not sure why it's not permitted here.
My personal request to change guidelines and allow us to carry phones in Safari.
Thanks

It’s really very nice experience , chances of getting tigers are really high . Our Guide was really good , we followed his instructions and we got the very good sight of tiger.. Tigress Maya with her two cubs , Tigress chotti Madhu… , Cubs of tigress W .
Better you carry some food stuff like fruits and chips chikki type things and water if you have kids with you…bcoz a single safari is of 4 hrs and kids really get hungry…
Carry warm clothes apart from scarf , sunglasses , binoculars etc for morning safari in winter (January and February both months )

Tadoba the place is well known for its tiger reserve. It is home to more than 115 tigers, 151 leopards and more than 300 species of other wildlife. I went with my friends and booked 2 rooms in resort. The staying cost was around 2200 per person just for 1 night inclusive of lunch, snacks, dinner and next day breakfast. We booked buffer safari costing around 5000 and core safari cost more than 9000 depends upon the season and the availability as the waiting time for core safari was more than 2 months. We were lucky enough to saw the tiger. The tiger name is choti Madhu and she is the most beautiful tiger in tadoba as told by safari ranger.

What a beautiful place. This is absolute thrilling experience. It's a dense forest area. Full of Deers, sambars, Peacocks, and offcourse King tiger 🐅. We went for early morning safari in core zone.
Total safari costed us Rs7250. This includes Private Gypsy for 4 hours with capacity of 6 tourist, Driver and Guide charges. Also camera charges. One of the things you should remember that MOBILE PHONES are strictly NOT ALLOWED inside Jungle area. So one compulsory needs to carry Camera for photography.
We explored Jungle. It was very scenic and full of wild creatures. There were many water bodies inside Jungle with crocodiles 🐊.
Finally after long exploration we got our reward. Our guide got information that there is a Tiger spotting in nearby Lake.
So we hurried there. But when we went there tigress was sleeping inside bush. So we along with many other Tourist waited for almost 45 minutes at same spot. Finally the moment came and Tigress gracefully walked out of bush and came out in open water. In few minutes her 8 month old CUBS also came out in playfull mood. That was some experience.
After almost 45 minutes we started our exit journey.
I must say I'll definitely keep coming back to this wild paradise. There are many hotel options around. Also it is recommended to book safari atleast 4 month before your visit.

If you love exploring and experiencing wildlife, this place has to make it to the top of your bucket list. I took four safaris out of which we had a sighting on three of them. While the tiger is the usp, there are many many more animals and birds that you will get to see here. The climate is very very hot and if you really want to enjoy and make the best of your time, it is advisable to wear covered cotton clothing at all times, tied hair and head covered and carrying water bottles is a must

A dense forest reserve located near the chandrapur mines.
You can take your vehicle(4 wheelers only) inside but you are not allowed to step outside your vehicle when you are inside forest parameter and you also can't stop your vehicle anywhere on the road.
Best time is to visit in the evening when animals step outside for a walk.

We got lucky to see 3 tigers in a single morning safari ride. Awesome experience. Few notes for visitors
1. Resorts are expensive
2.Mobiles are not allowed inside the park, so don't forget to bring a DSLR camera or you can rent at the park.

Good experience. Safari is managed well and need to be booked well in advance from official website. Road till core moharli gate is in good condition. Souvenir shops are available where we can get different product including camera on rent.
Mobile phones are not allowed inside.
Best time to visit for sighting is summer.
Ample of stay options available but felt little costly.
Tiger sighting depends on luck but i got to see tigress maya bathing and killing smabar while we were just about to leave

One of the best national parks to spot tigers, we spotted 2 tigers Charger and Heena through the Shreekheda gate. It was mating season and 4 tigers were we easy to spot in that zone.
The charger tiger actually charges towards the gipsys.
Tadoba national park doesn’t allow mobile phones for some reason. Cameras are allowed and even can be rented at the gate.
Prebook the safaris earlier as they get sold out soon.

The Ramappa Temple, an ancient Hindu temple constructed during the Kakatiya dynasty in the 1200s, is renowned for its intricate carvings and shrines. It is one of Warangal's most famous historical sites and a must-visit destination for those seeking devotional, historical, and serene experiences. The temple recently gained recognition from UNESCO due to its exceptional architecture that defies description. With proper government upkeep, it has the potential to become a major tourist attraction.
I would be the last to review this place. This is a historic place and UNESCO recently recognized it too. The architecture is amazing and cannot be described in words. If government can maintain it a little bit more nicely then this would be a huge tourist attraction.

The more than 800 year old Ramappa Temple also known as Rudreshwara Temple is a Kakatiya style Hindu Shiva Temple which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located at Palampet village in Mulugu district of Telangana, India. Archeology Department of India is at present opening up the remnants of other temples in the vicinity of the existing three temples. The foundation is made up of sandbox technology. Carved into each and every pillar, dome and wall are details so miniscule and sharp they even surprise the most advanced sculptors. What is even more fascinating is that these details were carved onto black basalt and red sandstone, materials know for being delicate and the Gopuram and Kupola are made with light bricks. It is a cool and calm place without much rush. The temple is timed between 6 A.M. and 6P.M. this place is abundant in terms of nature. It is a must visit place.

I gave rating of 5 as its more tick in a box. I can never rate such a beautiful place, it's indeed one of the finest marvel declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Absolutely a delight to spend time at this place. Every step you take once you enter the temple premises leaves you mesmerized.
I was just thinking how did one carve such a marvel. Truly amazing. Lord Shiva Linga's are huge, and when I say huge indeed. They are like 6 to 7 feet hight. Ceiling, Walls, Floor, every bit of it is worth spending some quality time.
Road to this place is good and you will not have any difficulty reaching the place. It will be good if you can pack some food and enjoy as a picnic too. But be very careful not inside or nearer to temple as you will find enough monkeys waiting to attack. And if you ask me, why would they attack, my answer is as they are monkeys, they will... 😆😀

A UNESCO heritage site. Maintained very well with good lawns on the walkway to temple and with necessary amenities of water etc. Architecture is good . Guides are available at the location. Photography is allowed inside but restricted to not take the photo of Lord Shiva . This temple withstood earthquakes and the bottom huge beams can be seen that they are inclined and protruded from the ground due to the earthquake.

It’s our Heritage. So many attacked that temple, but even today we can feel the greatness of our kings , sculptors. We have to show these types of places to our children, so that they can know what’s our ancestors are. How they showed our culture our rituals our sanathana dharma, our history in the form idols, sculptures. Today so many tells that , what’s in India. But if we see these types of places we can say and show the world that India is developed country in the art of culture tradition , education, economy, and what not. Thank u for our Archeological department and government for preserving the History of Bharath.

The Thousand Pillar Temple, a Hindu temple constructed during the Kakatiya dynasty in the 12th century, boasts intricate carvings and shrines of deities. The temple's magnificent architecture is accentuated by a central dome adorned with carvings of gods and goddesses, as well as an intriguing inscription on one of its pillars. Despite potential parking issues, the temple's maintenance is admirable and its evening illumination adds to its charm.
We visited this famous temple on a weekday, it is about 20mins away from the Warangal railway station. Like me, don't be surprised if you cannot see the 1000 pillars at once, if you look closely, the 1000 pillars are engraved intricately close to one another and form the walls of the temple. The beautiful carvings are on the walls and ceilings are mesmerizing, the temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. The vibe here is so serene, we spent about 40mins here. There is no entry fee. The well maintained park surrounding the temple premises is good for relaxing. A must visit place for architecture and history enthusiasts.

Travel: It was easy to locate and reach the destination. But there might be a problem of parking space.
Destination: As it was evening time, the crowd was not hefty and the entire place was commendable for it's maintenance and illuminating. The main temple certainly consisted of carvings of gods and goddesses, with the centre dome. Also something noticeable was that one of the pillars on the dome had some writing. The complete nuance of this heritage is wonderful to explore.
Amenities: I haven't figured this one and not sure if they have washrooms and other facilities.
Summary: It is a good place to know our heritage and to explore it's ferocity.

RUDRESWARALAYAM / THOUSAND PILLAR TEMPLE-
Rudreswara Temple locally known as Veyisthambhalagudi (Thousand Pillars Temple] is one of the fine and earliest available examples of Kakatiya art, architecture and sculpture. It was built by Rudra Deva and named after him as "Sri Rudreswara Swamy temple with the presiding deity as Rudieswarg In 1163 CE in the style of later Chalukyan and early Kakatiyan Architecture. The Plan of the temple is star shaped and triple shrine (Trikulalaya houses three deities Rudresward Vasudeva and Suryadeva in Western, Northern and Eastern shrines respectively around a central hall RangaMandaps) The lemple measures over 31 x 25m and stards on a platform raised to a height of 1 m from the ground. There is a KalyandMandapa located to the South of the temple famously known as Thousand Pillared Mandapa, which has about 300 pillars. The unique lype of foundations known as send box technique was integrated to raise the temple complex which subsequently turned to be the major cause for their damage and abandonment. Ine skill of Kakaliya Sculptors is manifest in adroit crafts man ship and flawless ivory carving technique in their ast. The ingenuity of Kakaliya sculptors is visible in likes of lathe turned, and shiny polish in colerite and granite stone sculpture and craft works of RangeMandage. The roof of the temple is devoid of any superstructure at present.
There is a Nandi placed in the open space placed between the main temple and the pillared mandapa. The garlond of bells
round the neck and with other ornaments embellished on the Nandi portrays Kakatiye touch. The elegant carvings at the richly decercted pillars under a spacious ceiling spanning the embellished side slabs identical to wood carvings is an achievement of unparalleled excellence of ine Kakatiya Architect. Other units here include a rectangular stepped Pushkorini, a thorana entrance in the East.

Historic place with beautiful architecture. With great and old history, Temple is located in hanumakonda,
One of the popular places to visit in Warangal !!!
The main attraction of this place is their pillars which attracts people from various places. Madapamu made with thousand pillars, so this place famous with thousands pillars temple,
neglected by the state Government, I was visited around 18 years back, on that time madapamu little bit damaged, they are tried to set, they removed some pillars, unexpectedly archaeology department found water in below the madapamu, previously they built on water, They is connection between bhadrakali temple and thousand pillars madapamu, they are neglected and taken so many year’s, I was visited in recently still they are constructing, and also I observed that previously is spacious place, I feel that temple place is occupied, constructed houses,
it is a Lord Shiva temple also known by Rudreshwara Swamy temple, I feel that something is missing in temple( I was visited so many years back)
It is a calm and quiet place to be visited in the early morning and late evening to experience this historic temple.
A pond is situated towards the left of the entrance , my last visit is not good, but now is good condition, government must take care and save heritage sites, this are represent our culture

I enjoyed visiting this place as it takes me back to my childhood days. Needless to mention about what an architecture marvel it is. At least I cannot describe in my own words. The temple is currently under renovation and there is work going on. It was little difficult to understand what they are trying to do, but hope whatever they do it will be best.
Temple is in city and just few minutes away from Badrakali Temple. So if you plan to visit cover that as well. We could not due to time constraint.
There is small well kind of place, it's called Kolanu where devotees probably used to take bath in olden days. Now it's a residence for loads of tortoises. It was nice to see, it did not become shabby with plastic and dirty, except water turned totally green with moss.
All said and done, I enjoyed visiting the place in past and present and will any day love it in future too. 😀

One of the famous & ancient temple of Maa Kanaka Durga in Vijaywada. Must be on your bucket list if you are planning to visit Vijaywada and guntur district. Parking is available for vehicles. Clock room is available for shoes and phones. Mobile phone not allowed inside the temple premises.
Temple is located at top of the Indrakeeladri hills on the banks of Krishna river. You will get a mesmerising view of Vijaywada from the top.

This temple is the major attraction in the vijaywada or bejawada area. This is one of the best tourist spot in the andhrapradesh state where there is no proper development in the tourism sector. After reaching to the pandit nehru bus station you have various options to reach the temple among them the best option was taking the devasthanam bus to the top of the hill through ghat road or you can reach the temple by steps also. All in all my visit to this temple is very peaceful from above you can have the view of Prakasam barrage and the Krishna river and flood plains and the adjacent conglomeration.

One of the must visit places of Andra Pradesh, the durga Malleswara temple itself is a spiritual place surrounded with the Krishna river. Very nice and powerful temple which is located on Indrakeeladri hill top.
There is free chappal stand and we can also keep luggage in counter for Rs. 5 and go for darshan. They are allowing cell phones and hand bags.
We can take free darshan or can buy Rs. 100, Rs. 300 or Rs. 500 for fast darshan. We took darshan on Saturday night and on Sunday early morning, there was no queue, darshan completed in 10 minutes.
There was a 7 floor building where lift is available to go to hill top. We can climb steps of building or climb steps of hill or can go by lift to reach temple. Lift is free for everyone, but some staff are rude and asking to buy 100 or 300 ticket to use lift, but we asked in counter, they said we can go by lift without ticket also.
After going up by lift, there were seperate queue lines for free, Rs. 100 and Rs. 300. People who buyed Rs. 500 ticket are allowed to go inside the raja gopura. They are selling saree worn by durga maa and the starting cost is Rs. 3000/- for saree, and there were upto Rs. 10,000/- sarees.
They are selling prasad down hill only like pulihhora, laddu, chakkara pongali etc.

Vijayawada is known in mythology as Vijayavata, and is mentioned in some inscriptions as Rajendracholapura also. it is a famous place of pilgrimage on the river Krishna, and ‘has a temple dedicated to Lord Siva in his aspect of Malleswara or Jayasena. Sage Agasthya is said to have been the greatest devotee of this deity and admirer of the deity’s several leelas. The origin or installation of Kanaka – durga Devi at Vijayawada is unknown. She is said to be Swayambu or selfmanifest. She also takes the aspect of Chandi or destroyer of the demon Durgama who was causing havoc among the peace – loving inhabitants of Dakshinapatha.
One of these hills is called Indrakila, which is a famous hill mentioned in the Mahabharata as the place where the Pandava hero Arjuna obtained from Lord Siva an important weapon called Pasupatastra. The aspect of Lord Siva who appeared before Arjuna for granting him the boon is Kirata or the hunter. Bharavi in his celebrated Kavya “The Kirtarjuneeya” has immortalized this. The temple of Vijayeswara is attributed to Arjuna to commemorate the event of obtaining Pasupatha. The shrine has the representation of this and many other events of the Mahabharata depicated in sculpture form.

It's a good and nice place for devotion. People come from all around to offer their prayers here. It's just 2km from the railway station and management is ok.
You have to keep your mobile, bags etc down and you have to go to the hill. Lifts are available for devotees and you can walk 1 min from the 7th floor to reach there. People also walk and go up. Parking and transport is available around 500m from the entrance and it's situated in a very busy area.
Overall a great and nice experience.

Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga is the second Jyotirlinga amongst the 12 throughout India. A beautiful temple and the only Jyotirlinga to have both Lord Shiva and Goddesses Parvati temples.
There are three darshan tickets: Rs.150, 300 & Rs.500 VIP Sparshan darshan where you can touch the lingam (not available always). The free darshan available can take time sometimes but usually it takes around the same time as sheegrah darshan.
Prasadam Laddoos are available at Counter after darshan at Rs. 25 each.
Book your stay prior to the visit as the city is really small and not many places are available. Best places to stay are government accommodations which are basic but decent.

The best months to visit are November, December, January, February and March. Srisailam has a deluxe and a lot for medium to budget accommodation options. The town is famous for Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Temple and is one of the holy pilgrimage site for Saivism and Shaktism sects of Hinduism. The town is classified as both Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha. This temple is very old and one of the jyotirlingam out of 12. Temple architecture is superb. This temple was famous at approximately 4th century. Devotees will get peaceful mind while roaming in this temple. Very huge crowd. There are some tickets according to price, free, 150/-Rs, 300/-Rs and VIP 500/-Rs. This is the only temple where we can see sri saila mallikarjuna lingam and brahmarambika Devi sakthi peetam in one temple premises. This temple is under maintained and worshipped by many kings like sathavahanulu, yakshwakulu, Vishnukundinulu, kadambulu, pallavulu, cholulu, rastrakutulu, chanakyalu, kakathiyulu, reddy rajulu, vijayanagara rajulu, maharastrulu. Every devote must be visit Sri sailam pilgrim. There is no hotels near temple. There are many community blocks located here for providing the rooms. Like kapu, reddy, balija etc. After reaching Sri sailam need to go according to the community block. Community is doing very late for allocation of room. Always they say it's full. Time may Take hours, we fed up for rooms, finally we went to sunnipenta village and we took the hotel room. It's 10 kilometres from srisailam Bus stand. Busses available and may be fare is approximately 30/-Rs per person, based on bus type. Really worst management, If first time going really better to understand the situation first, otherwise really they will get struggle. After visiting temple devotees must watch other temples also like sakshi ganapati, hatakeswara devalayam, phaladhara panchadara, ista kameswari alayam, sikareswaram temple, sri bayalu verabadraswamy and many more temples. But local share auto charging 200/-Rs per person to visit these 5 temples, remaining temples are different directions and little far.

The AP state govt run bus is also available.
In the way you will get a reserve forest and the beauty of the way is outstanding.
You will be amazed by seeing the beauty of nature through your journey.
After reaching there many guest houses are available as well as trust run hotels are also available. It's suggested to book accommodation online .
AP state govt tourism department's hotel is also available and you need to book it only online mode. It's the best among all accommodations available there.
For the puja process there are many customize options for devotee . You can book online sparsha darshanam , Abhisekam , garbhagriham and many others . Apart from that free darshan is also available.
The trust maintain and take due care for every devotee and arrangement is very nice.

Best place to have a weekend outing
Place has improved a lot from 2010-2024
In 2010 there is no proper shops to buy things that are required at the beach
But now there are plenty of shops to get the swim wear but a bit on higher side
Eateries are also opened next to beach. Taste is good. Do try prawns and local sea fish.
We can have activities like dart bikes, camel rides, horse rides
Prices may vary from 50-200 per person as we should bargain our best. It's better to have an experience of dart bikes. It's good and fun
Beach is calm and no high tides present
The best option is that we have haritha resort right on the beach so book them if you hate travelling to beach from your hotel

The Talakona Waterfall is a picturesque attraction that features an observation area at the bottom and a steep climb to the top. It is a great place to visit with family and friends on weekends, with its cold water providing a refreshing respite from the heat. The best time to enjoy the climate is between 11 am and 2 pm, but visitors are advised to bring their own food or eat elsewhere as local canteen workers may not be wearing masks while cooking and serving food.
Nice Place to visit for family and friends in weekends. The water is so cold no freezer gives you that chilled water. Best time to enjoy climate between 11 am to 2 pm .
I would suggest take food from home or outside as local canteen/hotel workers not wearing masks while cooking and serving food to visitors. and important thing Take care when drives by bike at road turns Life is more important then joy and fun. stay safe and Healthy !

It is an amazing place to visit with family & friends. Do visit temple & then go for a small Trek for 1-2 kms & you reach the waterfall.
Be careful when you get in the water as there are stones and rocks & it is very slippery so you may get hurt.

There is no changing rooms in that place. That is major problem for women.

Best place to visit who liked the natural and waterfalls, it's a devotion attraction too. It's open in the morning at 8:00 AM clock to 4:00PM, the ticket price is 30 for a person. From the Entrances you can drive your own vehicle at a certain distance, from there you can walk a certain distance to see the beauty of the waterfall. Waterfalls are spectacular and the surrounding location is a absolute visual treat. We need to walk 500m to reach the waterfalls area from the car/bike point. There is no fence through the path at some places, we should be vigilant especially when going with kids. Water was very clean and cold, we visited in January.

What a god amazing place this is, Forget going anywhere outside India
Such a beautiful creation of mother nature over thousands of years of time frozen in this hidden little gem. I swam here for hours together.
No crowd what so ever when we went there, the sun was warm and nice. The water was cold and refreshing for a nice swim. Do not miss this of you are on Andra Pradesh. Worth spending the whole day here with your family or friends - Stay Clean and Safe
But please don't dirty the place and throw garbage everywhere.....Mother earth won't forgive you for this.

A cascading symphony of liquid grace, the waterfall dances down the rugged terrain, glistening in the sunlight. Nature's artwork, it weaves serenity into the surrounding landscape, a testament to the enchanting beauty of untouched wilderness.
We ordered food with country chicken beforehand at the entrance. After bath you will be tired and that hot meal will be a treat to the trip.

The waterfall was a hidden gem, nestled amidst the lush greenery of the forest. The journey to the falls was an adventure in itself, with a 20-minute walk through the woods. The anticipation of what lay ahead made the walk all the more exciting.
The falls were divided into two parts, each with its own unique charm. The first part was a sight to behold, with water cascading down the rocks in a mesmerizing display. But the real magic lay in the second part, where the falls were bigger and more majestic. To get there, we had to trek for another 15 minutes. But the effort was worth it, as the view was simply breathtaking.
However, the parking situation was a bit of a hassle. The area was teeming with mischievous monkeys who were more than happy to check out our bikes and make them dirty. So, beware of these little rascals!
Also, keep in mind that the falls are open only until 4 pm. So, plan your visit accordingly.
Overall, the waterfall was a delightful experience that left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in nature’s beauty

I visited here on 2024 Pongal holiday solo on bike from Chennai. The travel itself was challenging almost 4+ hours of travel along with the early morning mist making it an impossible ride. I planned to be there before 8:30am their opening time but then I reached around 9-9:30am. You'd be charged 10₹ for parking 🅿️ and another 30₹ per head for entry. They have a large open space beneath the falls where vehicles are parked. For bikes, monkeys are the most annoying thing you'll regret on for travelling on a bike there as they'd check your bike for food and and making it clumsy. My tank cover was torn when I came 🔙.
As I was early I came across only a fewer crowd till 10 or 11am but after that they place was filled with people. If you're looking for peace and alone spot come very very early for privacy. Most exciting spot to chill and have fun beneath the falls if you visit with larger crowds. Look out for kids safety by yourself as there is no incharge of sort overseeing the crowd. It is better stay at the bottom foot pond like structure beneath the waterfall that one would see after parking their vehicle if you have more elderly persons and kids with you.
3rd spot on top is too slippery and the fencing there is irregular and not well maintained, so go there at your own risk. People even go above that to reach the top of the falls but it is not recommendable as there is no proper visible path and being dense forest area one might even lose time finding the way without any locals.
Early in the morning 🌅 the water was so chill and breath taking to bathe in.
Must visit spot in AP if you're around thirupati, plan accordingly so that you can have a visit when you plan for thirupati.

Talakona Waterfalls is one of the beautiful waterfalls in India and also it is a famous tourist spot in Andhra Pradesh which is located at Chittor district and it is also near to the famous devotional pilgrim Tirumala.
The beauty of waterfalls is awesome and the glow of water is continuous around all the seasons and more in rainy and winter seasons.
The hill station and the waterfall environment makes you feel surprised and amazing.
The roadway where we pass through the dense forests is very pleasant and makes you feel that you are in Amazon forests.
The greenery and the tall trees and their medicinal values make you feel pleasant and peaceful.
There is a distance of nearly 2 to 3 kilometres we will walk in the deep forest where we can hear pleasant birds sounds and some rare birds also we can see.
One of the best tourist spots and waterfalls in Andhra Pradesh.

One of the must visit ancient temples in India. This is located close by to Tirupati and is famous for Vayu linga (one among the 5 in the country), Rahu Ketu Pooja, and multiple other ancient hindu dharmas.
When planning for Rahu ketu pooja, don’t buy anything from outside. Just walk inside, buy a ticket (500,750,1500,2500 or 5000). I bought 1500, which was less crowded and spacious attention for a pooja. Decide which suits the best. And please don’t go with all rumours - simple dressing is advisable (pant, shirt or shirt dhoti or kurta for men and saree or Simple traditional dresses work well). Temple is neatly maintained but slightly disorganised in heavy rush times. Prasadam is too good. Must try ladoo and pulihora here.

The crowd management was not proper by the concerned authorities. There were many middle man inside the premises who were offering direct entry services (kind of back door entry) by charging some fee, while there's no action on those illegal entries. These should be banned in the premises. Rest the experience was good.

The Srikalahasti Temple is definitely a must-visit place for everyone. It is a superb archaeological temple with captivating paintings and impressive construction. The temple is well-maintained and clean, although it can get quite crowded. However, it's worth the wait to get your Darshan (blessing).
We were fortunate to find accommodation near the hills, which provided a peaceful and beautiful setting. The temple is easily accessible, and there are good restaurants available nearby for refreshments. So, you can enjoy a delicious meal after exploring the temple.

We have a separate paid parking space for the cars. The cost for 50rs. There are huge crowds all the time due to the Pooja's that are being carried out for each Astrology sign.
They will take our mobile 📱 for the fees amount of 15 - 20rs each and keep it.
The temple is very huge and has many entrances. They also provide free food for the people.
There is ticket 🎫 fees of 50rs each to entire into the special darshan due to the crowd but all the people get into one line at the end. There is nothing special about buying the tickets.
All priests are begging for money which is not at all good. It's very bad attitude. I personally didn't like this temple that much..

If you give some money then they will allow you to enter in special dharshan ( queue is avoided ).

It’s famous tourist place in southern part of India.
One of the many speciality is that RAHU and KETU puja is done in temple premises.
Ticket range for puja starts from 500₹ and upto 5000₹.
For only darshan u can ticket starting from 200₹. But if u have gone for any puja tickets you will not be required ticket for darshan.

Today we had lord Shiva darshan in sri kala hasti temlle. It's one of an amazing temple in Chittur. Must watch.
The Srikalahasti Temple is located in the town of Srikalahasti, in Tirupati district in the state of Andhrapradesh, India. According to regional tradition, it is said to be the site where kannappawas ready to offer both his eyes to cover blood flowing from the linga before Shiva stopped him and granted him moksha.
Srikalahasti temple, situated 36 km away from Tirupati and 40 km away from the district headquarters Nellore, is famous for its Vayu Lingam (Wind Lingam), one of the Pncha Bhutha Sthalams representing the wind. The temple is also regarded as Rahu-Ketu kshetra and Dakshina Kailasam. The inner temple was constructed around the 5th century and the outer temple was constructed in the 11th century by the Rajendra chola I, later Chola kings and the Vijayanagara kings. Shiva in his aspect as Vayu is worshipped as Kalahasteeswara.
Around the 11th century, the Chola king Rajendra chola I king renovated the temple and constructed the main structure. The temple received contributions from various ruling dynasties like Chola Dynasty and Vijaya nagar Empire. The 120 feet (37 m) high main gopuram and the hundred pillared hall with intricate carvings was commissioned during the regime of the Vijayanagara krishnadevaraya during 1516 AD. The presiding image of Shiva in the form of Linga is made of white stone in a shape resembling trunk of elephant. The temple faces south, while the sanctum faces west. The temple is located on the foothills of a hill, while there is also a belief that the temple was carved out of a monolithic hill. There is a rock cut shrine of Vinayaka,9 ft (2.7 m) below the ground level. Vallaba Ganapathi, Mahalakshmi-Ganpathi and Sahasra Lingeswara are some of the rare images found in the temple. There is a large shrine of Jnanaprasanammba, the consort of Kalahatisvara. There are smaller shrines in the temple for Kasi Viswanatha, Annapurna, suryanarayana Sadyoganapathi and Subramanya. There are two large halls namely Sadyogi Mandapa and Jalkoti Mandapa. There are two water bodies associated with the namely, Surya Pushkarani and Chandra Pushkarani.

the sacred town of Srikalahasti is famous for the Sri Kalahasteeswara Temple. According to ancient Tamil sources Sri Kalahasti has been known as the 'Kailas of the South'.
It was constructed in the year 1516 by Krishnadevraya – the king of the Vijayanagara empire.
The elaborate structure of the Srikalahasti temple complex is breathtaking right from the entrance. It has intricate carvings of numerous mythological illustrations that one can explore in the divine surroundings.
Srikalahasti located on the banks of swarnamukhi river. This temple is very famous among the people of southern India. Located around 37 km east of Tirupati, But its much closer to renigunta.
You can reach there by bus from anywhere or auto from renigunta station. Transportation is very good in this part of india.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is worshipped in the form of vayu lingam.. The Shiva Linga is very auspicious as it is considered as one tatwa (air) among other five tatwas (earth, water, fire, air, space).
This place is also famous for Rahu-Ketu puja.
Srikalahasti, derives its name from the combination of the sanskrit words Sri (spider), Kala (snake) and Hasti (elephant), which once worshipped the Shiva linga here and attained moksh.

A very peaceful and spiritual place. Situated between the mountains very beautiful place to visit with your family. And to connect your soul with God. Climate of Tirumala is awesome like movies. But only thing which is not good is that you have to spent lots of time in line for Lord venktesha Darsham. Very good place to visit

Always super. Only thing is management need to have proper planning. Some times it's taking more than 10hrs to complete Darshan. Meanwhile there will be small kids or old age people who need proper food at proper time. Accordingly some arrangements should be there. Earlier it used to be provided in the waiting halls. Now no one is concerned.

A beautiful place, must visit for anyone. This place doesn't need any introduction to it's greatness factor. Booking tickets in advance is highly suggested because as soon as tickets are issued for this place for darshan, they all are booked immediately. Stay and tickets should be decided beforehand for a good travel.

Try to book in advance for darshan as well as journey tickets.
If you have a token, then the average time to get the darshan is around 3-6 hours. And if you are visiting without tokens into free / sarv darshan line then the time for darshan can be around 10 to 24 hours
Food, water, toilets everything is there for free. Don't get trapped for the jeeps and tourist vehicles.
They have free bus service at tirumala. And even for the tourism their charges are minimal.

Pls take 300 rs ticket and go there otherwise free ticket the que will be very high. . . Visit on working days for lesser crowd and occasional days u will find a hectic crowd.

One of the best well maintained temple I have ever visited. The way they respected all the people who visited the temple is amazing. Not even in single place they scolded or treated people unequally and the maintenance of the surroundings and bathroom is mind blowing . The Annadhanam they provided was the best. One should visit this temple at-least once in a lifetime. and please avoid giving biscuits and buns to wild animals. They are not meant to eat those junk items

Crowded and once in a lifetime experience. Too much walking in queues which was like never ending. We got free tokens and waited almost 6-7 hours walking almost 8-9 kms inside in queue. The crowd was not controlled properly and too much pushing were involved 😢 Best to prebook online and visit pre planned to escape delays. The end result of finally entering the temple and seeing the deity was awesome🙏

This shrine holds great significance for Hindus, offering unparalleled peace and joy during Lord Venkateshwara Darshans. Due to its popularity, it can get very crowded, so here are some useful tips for visitors:
1. Ensure to book Darshan tickets in advance through the official website.
2.There are various types of Darshans available, so choose according to your beliefs and budget. Remember, the amount paid is considered a donation utilized by TTD for good causes.
3.Weekdays typically have fewer crowds compared to weekends.
4.You can either walk up to the temple from Allipiri or rear side of the hill called Sri Vari Mettalu (this time it took us 1 hr 20 minutes by walk) or use transportation.
Kindly note: post recent incident, kids below 12 years are not allowed to climb the hill between 2 pm to next day 5 am.
We visit this place approximately once every 3-4 months and always return with renewed enthusiasm. Since decades TTD consistently excels in building, improving, and maintaining this sacred site. We see the changes and better facilities for pilgrims.
Harsha Anjanappa — Google review
Heavy Crowd on weekends. During the day the floor is extremely hot, long wait queues but darshan is just love. If you go there inside the temple in front of Balaji you will get to feel that someone is there.....for all in small seconds you will feel calm and at peace for sure.
Dress code: (for gents) kurta, pyjama or Dhoti with preferred plain shirt or kurta
(For ladies)Saree, churidar, kurta/pyjama
Dress code is strict and do so then you will feel the culture also.

I have visited temple yesterday. Very pleasant and blessed . Less crowded this time , I used to visit Tirumala two months once . Best time to visit during bramosthavalu ( huge crowd will be there ) but we can see so many programs also visit during vaikunta ekadashi so we can get to see venkateswara swamy very near .
Sharing my journey ……!
We came to Tirumala through srivari mettu so we took Divya Darshan token at 50th step . We took room near CRO office and got fresh up and heading towards Darshan , entered around 1:45 to Q line and reached to Vaikuntam complex by 2:45 and waited for almost 5 hours , later they opened gate and Darshan completed within 1 hr , seen Venkateswara swamy for 30 secs , so blessed . We took laddus from laddu counter , 1 laddu free for Divya Darshan token holders , if you need extra laddu it will cost 50 RS per laddu. We heading toward vengamamba anna prasadam centre and ate food there and return back to room and rook rest. Morning return back to home. Can reach Tirumala 4 options by own vehicle or bus , can walk through srivari mettu (very short and token will get near 50th step but we need to reach this by 6AM , can reach to entrance by own vehicle or rented vehicle)or alipiri mettu (best experience you will get but risky also for aged persons and leg pain people , Divya Darshan token we need to get bhudevi complex , so need to Reach that place midnight only , so they will start giving tokens by 5:30 ) , if bus or own vehicle (need to get SSD tokens near bus stand , railway station …etc or else we can book 300 ticket prior month ) . Suggest to not come directly for Darshan , not sure how much time will take to complete . Also take 300 ticket or ssd or Divya Darshan.

I just love the road it’s so beautiful, lush green mountains.
Place is crowded with too many small shops, making it too difficult for walking close to the temple. It took 5hrs for Darshanam for Rs.300 special Darshanam.
Volunteers are too rude inside the temple sanctum, male volunteers should know how to behave with women devotees, they push inappropriately they make it so uncomfortable. I would request the temple authorities to give them proper guidance and introduction on how to handle the crowd specifically with the women devotees.

The exotic and enchanting architecture of the ISKCON temple of Tirupati is sure to captivate anyone who visits. The temple was just built 10 years ago and its simplistic yet stunning design is a testament to the devotion of the largest followers of Lord Krishna in the world. The interior comprises colorful walls and paintings depicting the glorious legends of Lord Krishna, making it an ideal place to visit for all fans of hindu culture.

I visited the temple recently. This temple has baggage and a shoe facility just outside the temple. Some kind of construction is going on during my visit.
The temple is well maintained and can be considered to give a visit. I have visited a number of ISKON temples across the city and can say that this temple is totally commercialized. They have a museum for which you need to pay for it. They have a restaurant inside the ISKON premise again for which you need to pay.
They have multiple shops inside the temple. I don't support commercialization of temples that is why reducing the rating from 4 to 3.

The idea for this temple germinated in the year of 1974 – 1975, when his holy Srila Prabhupada visited Tirumala- Tirupati on the request of Andhra Pradesh Government. Impressed with the spiritual atmosphere of the place and after seeing thousands of devotees visiting every day, he saw this Tirupathi as an ideal place to promote the teachings of Bhagwat-Gita and Lord Krishna while in turn creating an environment of amity throughout the world.
It in the year of 1982, this idea started taking a physical form while in 1983; a small Brahmachari ashram was established. Located at the foot of Tirumala Hills, in 1984, a small temple was inaugurated with the installation of the idols of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. In 2005, this temple was opened to everyone.

We offered fruits bhog which costs about Rs.100/- available at the main temple entrance. There were total 5 fruits in the thali. A new temple museum is opened at the ground floor where you exit after darshan. Prasadam is given to all devotees at the exit. Few pics are from the museum as well. Probably they also rent the museum hall for events.

From the moment I entered the temple premises, a sense of serenity enveloped me, creating a sacred atmosphere that transcended the hustle of daily life. The intricate architecture and the peaceful surroundings offered a tranquil escape.
Partaking in the prasad added a divine touch to the visit. The sanctified offerings bestowed a sense of connection to the spiritual roots of the temple. Each bite of the prasad, coupled with the knowledge of its sacred significance, became a symbolic communion with the divine.
The variety of snacks available, such as samosas, infused the visit with a delightful culinary experience. The flavors were rich and authentic, reflecting the cultural essence of the temple. Additionally, savoring coconut water and sugarcane juice provided a refreshing respite, especially in the temple's serene ambiance.
The temple staff's warmth and hospitality enhanced the overall experience, making me feel not just like a visitor but a welcomed pilgrim. The spiritual vibrations resonated throughout, leaving me with a sense of profound peace and blessings.
In conclusion, my visit to the ISKCON Temple in Tirupati was not merely a sightseeing endeavor but a soul-nourishing journey. This temple is one of those temples that are commercialized and will be given preference to those who buy the tickets. That's the main reason I gave this temple a 2 star rating. There are mobile counters and luggage counters present inside the temple but they're asking for money indirectly.
For normal people, even if the temple is empty they need to go round and round to the temple before coming inside the main chamber. To be honest I don't like this kind of mgmt thing. If you have time then come to this temple otherwise ignore it as you don't get the vibes of the temple here. Everything is commercialized.

This pilgrim centre is popularly known as “Alarmelmangapuram” (Alar-Lotus, Mel-top, Manga-Goddess, Puram-town) or Alimelumangapuram. According to temple legend as Goddess Mahalakshmi emerged on the golden lotus as Padmavathi Devi located at the centre of Padmasarovaram-the temple tank, this place became famous by the name “Alarmelmangapuram”.
There is a strong belief among the pilgrims that they should pave visit to Padmavathi and seek Her divine blessings before they visit Lord Venkateswara as Tirumala during their pilgrimage.

Crowded place. But in the evening and early morning it's less crowded. Special dharsan ticket can be bought inside the temple. Doesn't matter special dharsan or normal darshan, all the queues are combined in the end and at actual dharshan you will only get 2 seconds to see and worship God. Phones and cameras are not allowed. There is a cloak room in only gate no 3. Shoes and accessories can be kept there. Free service only. There is a scanner before entering to temple. If suppose you have any accessories in your bag then it's far to go from scanner to cloak room. There is no water in the theertham. Anna dhaanam will be given to everyone inside the temple. We reached from tirupati to Alamelu Mangapuram via normal ASTRC bus (Private buses also there 20rs per head) it took around 15 to 20 Mins.
We need to keep our Belongings, Cheppels and Mobile phones before enter to the temple. Near to temple private storage option available also inside temple entrance free storage room available.
Two entry Dharsan were available General (Free) and Special (200rs per head). General Dharsan will take around 1 hour in log queue. Spacial Dharsan before 30 mins we can enter after the Entrance security check.
After the Dharsan we need to go for another queue to get Theertham and Prashadham.
Another Laddu prasadh we will get it for 10 rs only one per head. We need to get token inside and from exit gate we can get the Laddu.
This temple Laddu taste is different from the TTD Laddu.
From Exit gate you will find the many shops for purchase.
We can't directly go to Sri KalaHasti temple from Alamelu Mangamma temple. We have to again reach Tirupati and then go to Sri KalaHasti. Because there is some brige work is going on.
Over all it's good dharsan and Temple is crowded during weekends.

Shri Padmavati Ammavaari Temple has a special place in the Hindu mythology. This is the temple of MAHALAXMI the goddess of Wealth and happiness.
People who are visiting Shri Tirupati Balaji blessing must have to visit this pilgrim to get Mahalaxmi blessing without mahalaxmi blessing the Yatra is incomplete, because without Shri Padmavati, Shri Balaji is incomplete. So please visit the place to get blessings of both Shri Venkateshwara Swamy and Shri Padmavati Ammavaari.

But after all free darshan and special entry darshan lines are combined and only 5 seconds to worship god . Management does not allow to stand or worship properly .
