There's a saying 'shop till you drop'. Got some beautiful batiks for ourselves and headed on to other outlets. An eye catching place indeed but we did not stay for long due to the crowds thou strictly with SOP....
Nora Abdrahman — Google review
A big shopping place for shoppers. There are more than 200 small stores with few sections.. Batik section, Dried food section, wet food section, toys/soft toys section, food court and many more!
The good thing is you can bargain up to 20% of the total price. If you don't agree with the price, just say thank you, smile and walk from the store.
Make sure you remember the store name collection because all stores have the same store design. They also have a food court facing the sea. Warm & calm.. There are tonnes of food for you to try. Dont forget to try their noodle soup. One of the best in Kuala Terengganu.
Overall, worth the experience. The tendency for you to shop till you drop is very high!
Dont forget, come after 9am coz most ofbthe stalls open around that timing
======
Memang terbaik. Boleh jadik pening if datang sini. Rasa semua nak beli. Makanan dia.. Batik dia.. Mwmang terbaik.kualiti. Ngam dengan harga.
Must go tau if korang datang Kuala Terengganu & make sure datang lepas jam 9. Baru banyaak kedai bukak..

Pasar Payang is such a huge market in Terranganu. Lots of food stalls, cloth shops, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and etc. I really enjoy to explore and support the locals!!!
kosita butrattana — Google review
Is a one storey building with many stalls selling snacks, clothings, fruits and vegetables. However stalls are selling the same products and price is the same, yet still can bargain in order to get the cheapest. At the back entrance is the waterfront.

Disabled friendly. The shops are located on the ground floor which can be accessed easily with wheelchair fed people. Good place to buy clothes at a reasonable price with a variety of senses of style. Many kinds of local food can be found here too.

Heaven shopping for batik lovers. Local delicacies we can try. But its crowded with the goods along the path for handicapped like myself but you can still enjoy.
SITI RONA ISMAIL — Google review
This place is big.. with many small small store. After you have bargain and check the price with the store owner remember the store location, if not you will facing hard time to recall which one is the best price store..
Jack Chin — Google review
Market conditions are quite crowded due to the holiday season. There is not enough parking to accommodate the arrival of tourists from the state. The price of the sale items is quite moderate and some sellers are kind enough to offer low prices or give a little extra on the purchase.
射线Mr R — Google review
Great place to shop for batik, souvenirs, or local delicacies. The food at the food stall, which was located at the back of the market, was average, and you could find better options elsewhere. However, the sellers were polite, friendly, and accommodating.
My family and I bought bekpang (rice crispies), kuih gulung (love letters), cashews, and some other tidbits, after our nasi dagang breakfast. We also got a pair of clothing sets as souvenirs for our family members. Alhamdulillah.
NikIqa Ghazali — Google review
Visited during a rainy day. But still loads of tourist and visitors. They are divided into a wet section and dry section.
Alot of kuih, kerepok and sweets on sale.
Row after row of clothes, batik clothes and shirts. Quite repetetive as all stores are selling the same things.
Theres a small row towards the toilets where we stumbled upon a few vendors selling rokok daun (rolled tobacco).
Kim Guan — Google review
This place got a lot of foods (please give a try to terengganu's traditional food😉) , clothes, souvenirs and others. You might love this place if you're a shopping maniac🤭
Besides that there are also a lot of stalls selling fast food and drinks outside the pasar. All of it looks delicious and appetizing🤤
Its a little bit hard to find the nearest free parking towards the entrance. But u can still park ur transport at the rm2 parking beside the pasar with a little bit of walking.
Masyitah Radi — Google review
A local market must visit to get local snacks as souvenir.
Must buy ~ keropok lekor@lesong.
You can also find famous local unique cloths here ~ Batik. However, not all stalls can bargain.
J-Ho S. C. — Google review
The new arrangement is not really friendly. Previously, we loved the specialty made for each floor and more organized. We understand that this is just a temporary setting while waiting for the new building to be ready. Overall, the vibe is not the same. Can't wait to go again in the new building.
Bob SR — Google review
My friend said he had a very good mee sup celup at the Pasar Payang entrance. He said it was savoury with the added lime juice on top.. and I just knew that the new business centre will be open beside it just in the corner. I really can't wait..
Aiman Fazdil — Google review
A must visit place when you are traveling to Terengganu. The wide path way becomes narrow just because the vendor put all their stuff in front & outside the outlet. This causes the difficulty of visitor movement & jammed. So many things are sold here such as souvenirs, clothing & traditional food. Busy during school holidays.
E-g Romaizi — Google review
Pasar Payang in Kuala Terengganu is located by the Terengganu River. It opens daily from as early as 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The new Pasar Payang which is more comfortable and spacious is expected to be open later this year.
The market houses hundreds of shops selling traditional handicrafts such as batik, silk, songket, handmade crafts, as well as fresh produce.
Your visits to Kuala Terengganu are not completed without shopping at Pasar Payang.

Pantai Batu Buruk is a popular beach destination that offers activities such as kite flying and horseback riding, along with local food stalls. This clean and well-kept three-kilometer stretch of beach is ideal for jogging in the morning or afternoon, although it can get crowded on weekends. The friendly crowd adds to the atmosphere of this picturesque location which also boasts some Instagram-worthy spots. Visitors can enjoy the excellent sea breeze while purchasing kites and bubble toys from vendors on site.

Very good sea breeze. There are few people selling kites and bubble toys. Beach a bit dirty but overall nice.

Seems like local people don't swim in this part of the ocean. Many drown. Just read the news, a man ( tourist ) died there, got swept off by the strong current. Stay vigilant. Also consult with the locals if it's advisable to be in certain areas as signboards are not always placed where they're supposed to be.
But there are fun activities at the beach and places to makan², so if you're going there enjoy the views, fly kites, go horse riding, eat some yummy food.
Just DON'T GO FOR A SWIM.

Seeking for a peaceful mind? There you are. Sad to see that there were many litters thrown all over the beach. 🙁

Pantai Batu Buruk has been synonymously regarded as one of the most prominent beaches in Terengganu, even appearing in the famous hit song, Blues Ganu Kita sung by Allahyarham Saleem. A place bustling with hawkers and street vendors, Pantai Batu Buruk is a good place for relaxing and recreation. Families can come here to enjoy the sea breeze and play kites with their children, and the youths can hang out with their friends and take pictures. Despite being a famous local attraction, the beach is quite unkempt; driftwood and trash are abundant and these items ruin the good image of the beach. Hopefully the authorities will take care of this problem soon.
Muhamad Nurlutfi — Google review
Batu Buruk Beach is famous for its white sand and casuarina trees that grow abundantly along the beach. It became a mandatory destination when I returned to my hometown. By looking at the waves and the comfortable atmosphere it can bring back the memories of my childhood.

Kuala Terengganu Chinatown is a tourist attraction that boasts of a rich mix of Chinese and Malay cultures. The waterfront Tian Hou, 1800s Buddhist temples, eateries serving stir-fries and red lanterns add to the classic China ambience of the place. It is an excellent spot for photography enthusiasts looking to capture interesting locations. Visitors can also find a variety of food stalls and restaurants serving unique Nyonya cuisine with Terengganu's distinct taste.

I wish I can give it more stars than this but I think someone either the council, tourism board should put a hand into upkeeping this stretch of road. The walkways are almost impossible to walk on. The old architecture of the buildings here are worth keeping for the coming generations. It's actually quite as beautiful as those in Melaka and Ipoh. The alleyways are almost all being done up and fascinating. Wall murals, educational and cultural information. It's really a good day out for families and tourists. A handful of cafes and kopitiams... Enough to quench your thirst and hunger pangs.
Lena Ng Mun Yee — Google review
Great place to learn Terengganu uniqueness in Chinatown. Surprisingly here got lot foods that will surprise you. Nyonya food here different from melaka and penang, really got terengganu taste and uniqueness. If you love to take photo, here is great place for you spend your time.

Masjid Kristal, a magnificent mosque situated on the manmade island of Wan Man in Terengganu's Islamic Heritage Park, is a popular tourist destination. The opulent structure is made of steel, glass and crystal and boasts an enormous chandelier. Unfortunately, it is currently closed for repairs or construction until April. Despite this setback, there are plenty of other attractions to explore in the area.
One of Terengganu 'killer', a must visit place all time! Place is awesome, well maintained, clean, and importantly still beautiful even at day or night! At day got many visitors, can try to visit at night which is less visitors come.
We come on December 2022, maintenance was done at that area. Thumbs up!

A beautiful mosque that stands majestically by the river . It is popular for the local Muslim residents and visitors to come and pray. The surrounding area is vast and peaceful. There are some stalls selling drinks and food near the car park. Good place to visit and admire the beautiful mosque and rest at the nearby park along the riverside.

Wonderful display of unique architecture. The mosque has a reflective surface making it glitter in the day and beautifully lit at night. Right on the water and offers a spot to take photos. You can enter the mosque too for a full cultural experience.

Good tourist attraction. Nothing much to see other than the Mosque which is beautiful in its own way. Some eateries outside to cater for your hunger needs. There are horses and scooters for rent or ride as well. It's not made of crystal the only part of the Mosque that is crystal is the part of the pillar near to the peak. The rest are glass.

Visitors can explore the rich cultural heritage of Islam through interactive exhibits and educational displays that bring the past to life. So beautiful place specially the lighting is so decoratively attractive... Kids enjoyed a lot... Lovely place.... Plenty of parking available
Muhammad Hammad — Google review
It was once a glory place to visit. Today we make our way here. We took both , river cruise and the outdoor park of Taman Tamadun Islam.
Not many visitors, to be precised we were the only visitors at that time. Walking around with not many people around and with the monumens looking shabby and the surrounding not well kept, it gives us a creep sensation. Determining ourselves to finish the tour, we did it in 1 hour. Some of , the monuments were not worth while to be photographed, sorry to say.
River cruise is quite informative with Hadi as the tour guide. Crystal clear voice explaining everything along the way, a good tour guide indeed. However the scenery is not so welcoming, since its just after flood so the river is yellowish mud colour.
I do hope they will really put an effort to maintain if not to upgrade the Taman Tamadun Islam since its a brilliant idea to bring all the well known mosque to us.

Pretty sad actually. They have the vision and mission to be an excellent park yet their dream seem to be vanished and abandon the most crucial part which is - maintaining the facility. This massive park has everything to be success. The location, the attractions, the volume of visitors coming in. To be fair, it definitely needs a boost on redefine the purpose of this magnificent park. Work on maintaining is a must. Put more effort on this. Several sites seem dismal and out of place. Top attractions but neglected the jewel itself.

Entrance fee not cheap but reasonable with a number of mosques made with attention to detail. Only lacking was the maintenance of the places as well as the buildings which was poor and in need of care.

Jetty to take the boat to Redang Island, a bit crowded on public holiday and weekend. The washroom was not clean, and need some improvement in basic infrastructure. Close to the crystal mosque and the world monument part. Park is not maintained.

It's a tourist attractions places. The hospitality are very good. The displays or the replica of building are great too. It's a lots of beautiful details have been displays on the art's of architecture. But the maintenance are very poor. They need to improved it.
But the landscapes are beautiful though.
Rafida Baan — Google review
Interesting replica of the Islamic Architecture around the world. Historical facts and information is what you can expect besides the long walk and interaction as well as photography.
There's tram service which cost around RM6. The entrance fee is RM20 for adult and RM15 for kid. Excluding Rive Cruise.
Parking is quite spacious. In the end there's souvenir shop which also sells food and drinks.
Shaik Nazirrudin — Google review
Honestly, this place is good to visit but from my observation there are a lot of things to improve in terms of maintainable & house keeping. Most of the replicas are neglected, landscaping & show rooms do not maintain well. It is really inconsistent with what I paid. Sad but i got to be true. Maybe this place was affected badly by the long COVID-19 period. I hope the management will look into it soon & this place will be a great place again.

Great place to know islamic history and important islamic places. From city centre it takes around 15 minutes to go there by taxi. Basic Ticket for foreigners is 15 RM per head, you can buy mini-train ticket or book a ride for buggy inside starting from 8 RM for person. Service is superb, staff are tourist-friendly and speaks English. Enough toilets around the park, has a souvenir shop, drinks vending machine and resting places. I went here a lot bcause it's about 15 minutes away from my grandmother's house. It's a very nice and clean beach, a lot of accommodation such as bench, toilet, food stalls. Even tho the sand kinda rough n have many shells, so I suggested not to walk in barefoot on the beach😂 on the day I went, it was cool and strong wind starting around 7pm along with light rain. The food price are also very reasonable. There is no menu or sign food so there were some of traditional food that for me it's a first time to see. The food stall owners are so considerate in helping explaining foods.

Spend 4 days with Viking Scuba for our leisure dive. First time had tried staying on land based in Dungun, Terengganu. Way better than on island based, ada nasi minyak, kopi merata rata, everything Terengganu taste can offer you after your daily dive trip. Daily dive trip starts at 8 AM and you’ll be back on main land by 330 PM.
Boat trip takes 40-45 mins from their Jetty to Pulau Tenggol. Jetty is about 5 mins from dive centre and ample parking lot (RM10/day). Its safe to park with cctv surveillance. There’s a decent toilet for you to shower and change. Please bring cat food for the cats 🐈 at the parking lot.
Dive boat is super clean and well maintained. Boat crew is super friendly and helpful. Makan toksah tanya - bapak sedap. Crew even apologised when we had to change boat on one of our day trip.
Owner was accommodating since we’ve decided to extend our dives to another day. Dive guides are well trained in customer service for sure 👍🏻. Reason why we will come back? Vikings will take you to the best of Tenggol dive sites repeatedly everyday to seek pelagic marine life. We had a great time and safe dives for sure.
Semoga semua crew VS, sentiasa dibawah lindunganNya di atas darat, atas air, bawah air. Ameen

The boat we used is very spacious, clean, and well equipped with a toilet, a water dispenser, and a pantry with tea, coffee, and snacks. Towels also provided. Highly recommended!

Done & Dusted EANx Course!
I contacted a variety of dive centres and am very delighted to go with Viking Scuba. They are a well-established professional outfit.
Dr. Nadeera responded to my initial inquiry with all info I needed to plan the trip from overseas!
The rental equipment was in good condition and well maintained.
All crew I encountered were professional, experienced, good-humoured, and patient...
Hafiez (ig @ hafiez301) is an excellent instructor... very knowledgeable, passionate, resilient, agile and friendly which makes for great dive trips.
Hafiez answered all of my questions (from the sensible to the ridiculous) with a smile. He was also delighted to spend time discussing dive techniques in more detail during the surface intervals.
Definitely dive with these guys - DUSTED! 7 days of boat dives!.
???????? — Google review
During my recent visits to a dive center, I had a mixed experience that encompassed both positive and negative aspects. While the people, including the Divemaster and boatman, were friendly and competent, there were notable shortcomings in the food provided and the repetitive nature of the dive sites.
Friendly Staff and Skilled Guides:
One of the highlights of the dive center was the amiable and knowledgeable staff, particularly the Divemaster and boatman. Their expertise and professionalism added value to the diving experience, creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. It's always a pleasure to have such dedicated individuals guiding and supporting divers throughout their underwater adventures.
Below-Average Food:
Unfortunately, a major downside of the dive center was the quality of the food provided, especially considering the price paid. The food offerings were below average and failed to meet expectations. It is disappointing when the foods experience doesn't match the excitement and energy that diving activities bring. The dive center should consider improving the quality of their food to enhance the overall customer experience.
Repetitive Dive Sites:
Another aspect that detracted from the overall experience was the repetitive nature of the dive sites. Even on subsequent visits, the same spots were frequented, which resulted in a lack of novelty and excitement. Exploring new dive sites adds to the thrill and adventure of diving, and it would be beneficial for the dive center to introduce more variety to keep divers engaged and satisfied.
Conclusion:
While the dive center had its positive aspects, such as the friendly and skilled staff, there were notable drawbacks that affected the overall experience. The subpar quality of the food served was disappointing given the price paid, and the repetitive dive sites reduced the sense of exploration and discovery. To improve customer satisfaction, the dive center should focus on enhancing the culinary offerings and diversifying the available dive sites. By addressing these areas, they can elevate the overall experience and ensure that divers have a truly memorable and fulfilling time.

Enjoyed my time with this DC. super clean boat, refreshments readily available after each dives. Free flow of 100 plus, hot tea/coffee,biscuits & fruits.
Items well tagged and dive gears are setup by the team on a daily basis.
Dive masters are friendly and accomodative to us.
DC even has their own merchandise!
Viz for the whole 4 day dives was superb.Although we didnt get to see the whale shark we came to see,we understand that it's not a zoo that keeps the shark caged to be 'looked' at.
To another visit in the future !

We booked a 1 day trip (3 dives) with them. Everything was well organized, and the crew was friendly and professional. The underwater world was amazing and we had a great day with Viking Scuba.

Highly recommend everyone to dive with Viking Scuba! We did 12 dives with them in October over 4 days and it was such a great experience. Kamal, Mat Yie, Aiman and the crew are very professional and we really enjoyed our time diving there. The dive sites are generally nice with great visibility, and Brolok especially was so amazing. Lunch was always great as well. The only regret was not seeing whale shark despite sightings by the other boat but that’s how it goes with diving sometimes. If you are looking for a reliable and professional dive center, you will not regret going with Viking Scuba!

Been diving with Viking for 1 year. Very responsible dive center with very nice and friendly dive guides and instructors. They really take care of our gears and belongings, plus they provide very nice food with biscuits and tea /coffee. There’s unlimited supply of cold soft drinks, plus the water dispenser has normal temp and hot water. There’s also a simple toilet where u can rinse urself after each dive. Will always go back to them to dive in tenggol. On the last day of dive, they will wash your equipments and you may collect it before departing back.
Kudos to my favorite dive guides, Aiman and Hafiez, they are really awesome!

I did 2 days dive with Viking Scuba and I had a great time. The team is very friendly and professional. The boat is clean and big with free flow of snacks, water, cold soft drinks and keropok! The lunch provided is also tasty. I will definitely join them again on my next Tenggol dive.

The beach, island and the dive sites were more than beautiful,,, I wish to be back soon.

Save the elephant.
Malaysian will said the ticket price is expensive… but did u know an elephant consume around 100-200kg of food per day…
So much activity but due to Covid-19 Law. Some of it cannot be perform.
If u love walking, climbing stairs, want to learn about the nature. Get ready to get sweat.

The sanctuary keeps orphan elephants safe. Although sad to see this is happening but happy to see many healthy orphans are well taken care in nature landscape. Nature, animal and elephant lovers must visit this village. Good place for family activities too. Entry is RM25 for adult and RM12 for child.

The walk around the whole area is about 1km+. Follow the schedule if you want to see elephant shower, elephant show or interact with them.
The staffs that are taking care of the elephants seem like Thai so explanation is a problem here. If you are here to learn more about each elephant, that part is hugely missing. But spotting a group of elephants aren't a prob here.

A lot of stairs climbing in order to cross the hanged bridge. Just remember your drive routes when you want to return home since google maps not working due to limited mobile network. Overall is a great experience.

If you want to come here, book the whole day for it and arrive early. Wear walking shoes as the place is huge and a lot of walking is needed. If you get there in time for the elephant bathing session, it would be a cute activity to see with your group. You can also feed the elephant but you must pay per bucket. The tree top walk is tiring but the view is worth it. We came during weekdays so it was not crowded at all

My first time visiting! Came here on wednesday at 2.15pm. I want to highlight that you have to make you are wearing your proper and comfortable clothes bcs it can be really hot and u gotta walk around a lot. Got many staircases too. Be prepared okay. The tickets were very affordable and by the time we came, they told us to hurry if we want to watch the elephants bathing. According to their schedules it started at 2pm and it will end at 2.30pm. We were lucky we got to watch it. But if u miss it there will be another elephant bathing session at 4pm. Before coming here, be sure to check their information. Take note of the schedules. It was a pleasant experience. Overall i really do enjoyed it. The elephants were extremely adorable. Its nice that we can get super close to them.

great place to bring kids and family. staff are friendly.
canopy walk can be too hard for some people. expect a lot of stairs climbing.
try avoid strollers and use baby carrier instead.
can feed the elephants with RM 5 per bucket. that should help them to cover the feeding cost of elephants.
elephant shower and show are very entertaining. the kids would love it.

The place is big, clean and well maintain. The facility is good. But unfortunately, i can only see three elephants along the top tree walk journey. I also hope that the company can give opportunity for the tourist to bath the elephants together. The foreign worker have a difficulty in giving explanation and cannot communicate well. But it is an enjoyable memory for people who love nature and animals.
The ticket price for Malaysian adult is RM25 per person.
Asmawati Anuar — Google review
Lovely place n a good home for the elephants. The mahouts are Thai & communicate well with these gentle giants. The canopy walks are fun & non strenuous.
Fees are affordable for locals & a lil higher for foreigners.
Medusa Hiss — Google review
Value for money. Affordable for a family trip. Good and clean facilities. But be advised to use baby carry instead of a stroller because there's a lot of steps.
Hafiz Hardy — Google review
Canopy walk by itself has made the ticket prices worth the RM25.00 (adult) & RM12.00 (children). Nature at its best! Can see lots of hardwood e.g. meranti, cengal, merbau etc & also abundance of palas (licuala palm) along/under the canopy walk (approx. 1KM in length & approx. 100m in height). There were 17 elephants on 01 March 2023, but we only saw 12 (other 5 were kept in their huts/enclosure).
Please note that this place is 10x better than a zoo as the elephants are roaming freely most of the time (with their mahouts, none were using sticks or the sharp goad, didn't see mahouts whacking/beating the elephants). When we were there, only 1 young bull was chained to the tree because his mahout was on leave. Other elephants were walking freely, taking bath in the river, being fed etc.
You'll see lots of negative comments about this place by righteous Mat Sallehs in Trip Advisor. Mostly saying the elephants are under duress, stressed up, being chained, beaten up etc. Well, they know the 'best' as they have plenty of 'happy' elephants in their zoos 🤭
Worth the visit, suitable for children, will definitely visit again!

Jalan Felda Aring, Tasik Kenyir, 21700 Kuala Berang, Terengganu, Malaysia
One of the nearer to Kuala Terengganu waterfalls. Very well planned estate although most of the chalets are too old. Hve to park outside the estate gate and pay RM2 to enter ( kids pay RM1). A very rustic and back to nature experience. The distance from the gate to the waterfall is about 1km but it may not be advisable to at where the actual waterfall is to swim or soak. The warning sign reads certain parts of the water basin is as deep as 7m and the the water velocity is quite great. An alternative place to soak the cold clear water would be where the old hanging bridge is near, some mid distance from the waterfall. Will certainly want to return!

Visiting this waterfall was one of the best experiences in my life! Honestly would recommend everyone to try it.
It is so relaxing to be so close to untouched nature.
It is so jaw dropping to see such a big beautiful waterfall in real life. Subhanallah!
It is sooo fun to swim in the streams, stand under the waterfall and get a back massage from the falling water and really fun to jump from the rocks. This is a life experience I would really recommend.

Located in Terengganu, Kenyir Lake became one of the most magnificent tourist spots in Terengganu as well as in Malaysia. Kenyir luxurious forest is located in the district of Hulu Terengganu, which lies at a longitude of 102 degree 40 minutes and 4 degree and 40 minutes in latitude. It is believed that the rain forest is the world oldest tropical rainforest. The forest also serves as a part of Malaysia National Park.
Tasik Kenyir (Lake Kenyir) in Terengganu is the largest man-made lake in the country. According to Tourism Malaysia, it spans 209,199ha. It was formed from 1978 to 1985 by damming the Kenyir River. The valleys and plains behind the dam filled up with water and the hilltops and uplands remained to form islands, some 340 of them. River fish soon adapted to their new environment and today this freshwater lake has become a challenging spot for anglers to try their skill.

Tasik Kenyir is a stunning natural wonder located in Malaysia, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable travel experience.

The scenery is simply stunning, and visitors can spend hours exploring the lake's various nooks and crannies, from hidden coves and waterfalls to serene beaches and rocky outcrops.
Beyond its natural beauty, Tasik Kenyir also offers a wide range of exciting activities for visitors to enjoy. Whether you're interested in fishing, boating, kayaking, or even jungle trekking, there's something for everyone here. And if you're looking for a more relaxing experience, the lake is surrounded by several comfortable resorts and lodges where you can unwind and take in the stunning views.
Overall, I would give Tasik Kenyir a 5-star rating for its unparalleled natural beauty, diverse range of activities, and comfortable accommodations. It's truly a gem of Malaysia, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure in the great outdoors.

Not that extravagant mall but still for the person like me that live at paka and went to mesra mall looking for some food or fun after work was pleasant. I think it had been almost 1 year not going to mm, a lot of things need to be improve. The food court should open more shop. Not too many variant food there. My favourite here was definitely rotiboy, empire sushi and big apple! For bowling and arcade was not so bad. I saw some kids love to play games there including my boy-friends lol

It was the weekend on the East coast of Malaysia hence we can find the Mall influx with lots of people.
The area allocated for the car is already big but still not good enough.

The coffee and tea were sub standard.
The sitting table was small.

Although it gets much time to find a good and suitable place to park but no worries, everyone gets a place to park their vehicle. There is also a very good play are for kids to have fun...
Snookee tables are also available there if someone wants to play snooker...
I loved the food court... Have many veriety in the food court...
Chinese hand pulled noodles are also available... But I liked the clay pot hot rice... Also there is a juice shop which serves the fresh fruit juice in a very big jar for only RM 6... The whole family can drink a single large jar...
Overall it isn't very nice place for shopping, for kids fun and for meals...

The counter staff at Pasaraya TMC Mesra Mall are very rude. Please learn to respect people especially when you work in the service field. Price labels are also very confusing. Staff put the price tag at wrong item. Btw, when I'm still talking about the price with the staff, suddenly she just swapped my debit card. I had to buy the box out of necessity. I didn't have time to discuss until the end. What can I do? Just be patient and walk away from the store.

Mesra mall look very "mesra" from the parking lot to the a/c in mall. Not very crowded, just good especially if you coming on weekdays
The only bad side is I decide on eating on food court, which is lovely actually but this shop and the food that I bought is not that expensive but also not that cheap (10+). Inedible for the most part exclude the rice, will not recommend this shop to others.

You got some entertainment with a cinema and bowling alley and arcades and pool. Then you get to grocery shopping at the very familiar TMG which is literally everywhere in Terengganu. As for the mall-stores, it has the typical in-stores such as Empire sushi, Boost, chicken rice shop, coffee bean and others. Parking is also quite abundant and petronas is right next to it. There's also a local coffee shop nearby. The only bad thing is that the mall is way too far from the city. It takes about a 30-40 mins journey so that's quite a pity.

An excellent turtle sanctuary that has been here for almost 50 years. Juvenile turtles are a guarantee here while you can try your luck to see the baby turtle (definitely not available during non-nesting season). You can learn a lot about the ecology, life cycle, threats and importance of the turtles in both Malaysia and the world. You will find precious specimens of turtles, corals and even dugong here. You should not touch the specimens as they are very fragile and precious. Do donate to them and support their excellent work by not purchase any turtle products outside!

It's a small educational center on sea turtle not sure where they do the conservation work, there are 4 turtles confined in two small pools which I feel they can do better to house them, they look healthy though. No payment is required but a donation is encouraged. Time spend around 20 to 30mins depending on your pace.

The pool where the turtles are kept felt small if one to learn that turtle can travel over 4000km in their natural environment. I wish for a much more natural pond can be made instead of tiled pool, hence the word sanctuary would be more appropriate.

Still worth your half an hour to 45 mins visit, an informative display gallery, a few ponds with isolated (maybe injured) / 2 big turtles, and a pond with lots of baby turtles.
We visited it on Saturday afternoon. The front counter staff was friendly. We were told the centre will be closed at 4.30pm. And we can come back at 6pm if we are interested in joining the baby turtles release. And it is free to join.
If we want to see the big turtle lay eggs on the beach, there is only one place which is Teluk Mak Nik. And a fee and booking in advance is required.

Hafiz's Cherating Activities offer a range of experiences, including night boat rides to see fireflies along the river, kayaking, snorkeling trips to Snake Island, and river cruises through the mangroves. Visitors have praised the clear night skies, bright stars, and beautiful moon during their tours. Hafiz's special method for attracting fireflies has been highlighted as a unique and memorable experience.
We spent the entire day in Cherating with activities from Hafiz’s company - ATV ride, river kayaking, and fireflies river tour. Booked all the activities over WhatsApp. Our ATV tour guide Mansor was very friendly and experienced! 👍🏻 He knew where to stop for good photo spots and also proactively took many photos and videos for us. He was also taking care of our safety. 😊 The fireflies river tour was an amazing experience - Hafiz was knowledgeable about fireflies and he could summon them from the trees. We definitely had fun directly interacting with the fireflies.

Can’t miss experience! 10/10 rec. if you have transport, book it directly from here, not your hotel (charged much higher)

Very relaxed and informative. Great experience. Spotted lots of interesting aspects of the river. Excellent tour

Definitely a firefly whisperer who can communicate with the colonies on trees. Very fascinating indeed. Book for seats in advance via WhatsApp & pay at the counter.

My children was amazed and thrilled to watch the fireflies glow their light all over some trees along the river. The briefing by Hafiz was knowledgeable, I learned so much about fireflies in short time. Boat service was great with some short questions and answers with information how to attract the fireflies by whistle and red light. Children need this kind of ecotourism activity to ensure future of the nature. Bravo to the team.

Amazing experience!!
We went on this trip last week and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Hafiz is very knowledgeable and it was very interesting to learn about the fireflies before we went out on the boat.
The photo doesn’t do the fireflies justice, it’s something you just need to experience.

Family trip with 3 kids between 6-10 years old. We all enjoyed the trip. Mizi (if I remember his name correctly) has been a wonderful guide. He explained the mangrove ecosystem well with reminders to teach us to be environmental friendly.
To my surprise, I barely spotted any rubbish floating around. They did their best to keep the place clean. I am sure this is not easy. After this, I will definitely try the firefly trip next time.
Terry Ooi — Google review
Staff is very helpful when we enquired about the booking as we were not sure if we could make it back to the Hafiz's as we were on other activities before the cruise. We did made it for the 4pm mangrove river cruise. The guide uncle is very knowledgeable and we saw two mangrove snakes resting in which the uncle guide spotted. Overall, it was a good learning experience for my kids to have a look around the mangrove river.

A really great experience with Hafiz’s bro in law (sorry can’t seem to remember his name!)
He was very funny in educating us about the mangroves and the wildlife there.
We didn’t get to see a lot of wildlife (he said it’s because it’s their off day duhh) , but the tour guide tried to maximise the 1.5 hours by taking us to more places and showing us different things!
Appreciated this tour and would recommend to others!
But remember to book beforehand on their website as it can go quite fast especially on a weekend
Francesca Therese Lee — Google review
It was a wonderful place. There was a proper waiting area where you can learn more about fireflies before heading towards the jetty to board your boat. Even the jetty was a proper structure that was well built and lit. The guides in particular Hafiz was well educated and explained everything very well. Truly a worthwhile visit. Kids enjoy it too.
Jaiyogesh Patel — Google review
Highly recommended!! Hafiz and his guides were excellent and knowledgable. We went for the firefly tour and turtle release. They educate the visitors to care about the environment. But it'll be better to leave the fireflies alone instead of luring them for tourists to catch and accidentally killing them. The baby turtles were quite tired from struggling out of the box for a long time... can shorten the time in between placing them in their box and releasing them.

Went to here on Friday night. Im very sleepy rn but im pushing myself to write this because the experience was soooooo nice here.
From the initial chat with hafiz (tour guide), to the briefing and the tour itself. Everything was perfect. The sky there was very clear from pollutions, stars was shining bright, mooon wss very beautiful. Plus, the fireflies were a lot there and they flies and came to our boat. Which thanks to hafiz special method of calling them and we did hold the fireflies in our times. It is really2 great experience. Would definitely recommend it to everyone to try it. It was a breathtaking tour that u will never regret it.
Go book your tickets now!

Took the Hafiz's firefly tour and mangrove cruise on two separate days. The firefly tour was informative and seeing the fireflies up close was spectacular. We were advised that we'd be able to see more when it's drizzling, but unfortunately it wasn't much as we expected. Thus, it shows they are becoming extinct.
However, the mangrove cruise was below average than expected. Although, we had it on a beautiful day. It started out a little odd as we had to wait for the staff to arrive for about 10 to 15 minutes past 9AM when our cruise was supposed to start at 9AM.
The guy that took us was friendly, but wasn't informative at all. We had to pretty much keep asking questions to get one-word or short (if you're lucky) answers from the staff. We managed to see a few lizards, a snake, crabs and eagles. Therefore, for the price you pay, don't expect any high quality tour.
This business really needs to improve. Period.

Nice resort close to beach. Air-conditioning & heater not good enough. Overall a good place for a night stay
Sadik — Google review
The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the outdoor area is very beautiful but I must give the room a poor rating because it wasn’t very clean. The worse part is we noticed on our last day (unfortunately) that the wooden bed frame had insect eggs on the sides. They offered us another room but it smelled like cigarettes and the wooden tables also nestled eggs.
Overall the rooms must be better maintained and a call to pest control should be prioritized.

Good place to stay. Very cozy. Peaceful ambiance. Beautiful front facing pond. Garden style. I came during weekdays so cherating is less attractions. They even gave mosquitoes repellent for stay due to alot of mosquitoes since it is garden concept. But not a big issue i think since u can prevent it by ensuring your room and window balcony close during sun down. Only thing they can improve, lighting during night time. I think it is quite dark, even pathway to your room is quite dark. There is a lights but not bright enough. Perhaps a few mass surrounding areas flood light be good. But for sure, will be back here again. My family love it!

It's very laid back and beautiful. The beach is just behind the resort. Very private and serene. Would definitely visit again if I had the chance.. only downside I can think about is the sink was clogged and I don't think there was Wi-fi in the rooms.

I hate it. it was so dirty and unhygenic. I will naver come again ruined my family trip very rude they screamed at us when we were parking and told us to face the right but everyone was facing the left so it would be hard for people to get out . one guy who was very rude and one woman who was rude to .we got catfish the pictures were nothing like the rooms, and they said there was a pool, but there wasn’t a pool. The only thing that was nice was the beach. Too much bugs, many mosquitoes bite me at night, Aircon was leaking, when we arrived, it was so dark, we couldn’t find our room. They told us there was a wedding, and said there’s no more available room, but we were the only cars there. please read the reviews before you book. I will never recommend.

⚠️⚠️not like the photos! DONT BE SCAMMED!⚠️⚠️ Arrived at the place and got shouted at by none other than the manager to ‘park facing the road’ when no other cars were facing it! Waited 10 minutes then got our room mosquitoes everywhere and a bunch of dirty stuff! The bathroom was horrible and the showers barley work! Bugs everywhere and for the bathroom just look at the photos. No soap either. Being by the beach is nice, but when there is litter everywhere and cinderblocks it’s not so nice⚠️DONT COME HERE⚠️ never coming again 😡

Beautiful , serene and quiet place of stay. Mind the mosquitoes and other bugs during night , had sightings of monitor lizards around as well as there's a beautiful lotus lake right Infront of the chalets. Walking distance to the beach. Very friendly staffs . Perfect place for birding as well.

Beautiful landscape all around the resort, but room interior can be improved definitely. We joked about how the resort might have spent a lot on maintaining the landscaping outside the area that they had to cut their budget with maintenance of the room😆 anyways, the bathroom needs deep cleaning, honestly. I’d still consider staying here again for the landscape and the close distance to the beach! But yes. Hopefully cleaner room for us next time. Staffs are friendly btw, thanks for your hospitality!

Jalan Cherating Lama, Cherating, 26080 Balok, Pahang, Malaysia
Pantai Teluk Cempedak is a relaxed and picturesque beach that is perfect for walking and swimming. It boasts numerous restaurants and vendors in the vicinity. Although its nightlife can be busy, visitors are advised to adhere to safety protocols and explore less crowded areas. The main bay features fake grass that may disappoint some tourists, but the extreme left end of the beach offers a little-known bridge that leads to Second Bay.
One of the best beach to relax in Kuantan. Clean, safe & cool/windy. Lots of seating places. Can even rent the inflated sofa from the vendor at the beach.
Has few restaurants you can dine in, with the beach view as a bonus. From the posh Starbucks to the local tomyam/seafood restaurant.
Fancy for some gift? Lots of stalls and shoplots selling the keychain, name engraving, kites, toys and others are around.
Also a good place for exercise/jogging. But beware of the wild monkeys.
Parking lots are plenty. The nearest costs RM2.50 per entry while the one besides TC Uptown costs RM2 per entry.
Toilets are clean enough but require major repair/upgrade.
Best time to visit this place is from 6.30pm onwards.
Big applause to the local authority for maintaining this beach.

Night life in Teluk Cempedak is probably too crowded, but hey, take care of SOP, cur to alley with lesser crowd, it will be alright. The Sand at the main bay is moved from somewhere else, fake grass. These are some of the small let down.
Please find times to visit this place in day time, and go to the extreme end on the left, you will find yourselves a bridge to cross to Second Bay. Not many visitors know of this area, so enjoy the quietness it offer.
But be careful when you see Monkeys lurking around the bridge, do not feed them and keep your things out of their sight.

🏖Nice and cleaned beach in Malaysia.
🌊The waves there were particularly strong during the northeast monsoon season, so swimming at your own risk.
However, there were some people who were surfing there.
🪁Since this place is windy, it would be great to fly a kite there. There were some stalls selling easy-to-fly kite there, and it was quite cheap (RM15 each) and really nice as well.
Just have chill and relax session at this place,
Just listening to the sounds of wave and birds,
Just have a great time sun bathing there,
Just enjoy the wind blowing upon your face.
This was a great place~!

Best sea view point for photographers.. Seem less photo effects when we take photos. Nice beach in Kuantan all parts.. Nearby have macd and kfc. Lot of shop's available for kids toys for swimming. The other part beach view we can go by the bridge. But the sad part is the bridge broken half of the way. So they closed for access. Please don't approach after the fencing. If anything happen cannot access emergency time. Lot of monkeys here.. Don't give any foods and don't approach animals rudely.. They have big groups 😂😂😂

Loved this beach - there are some food options available (Starbucks, mcd, and some more). Ample parking available. There is a boardwalk, shady too, we enjoyed the views from here. It can get quite hot during the day and there weren’t much people on the beach itself - could get crowded in the evenings. There are a lot of monkeys, a lot of them, but they keep to themselves and bother you only if you have food. Overall very good not to be missed if you are in the area.

This is the closest stretch of beach to Kuantan City Center and which is also why it had a good number of holiday makers when we were there just after lunchtime.
While one part of the beach is like a private stretch in front of the long-operating Hyatt Regency Resort, the other section is the one that’s open for the public and with the TC outposts of McDonald’s, Burger King, Richaimo, and Starbucks helping to quench thirst and fill up empty stomaches. The sand also looked inviting but as my son and I weren’t staying in the area and didn’t want to dirty the car, we did not walk on the beach itself.
There were many souvenir shops around the area, along with the established player called “Kedai Cenderamata Teluk Cempedak Sdn. Bhd.” in their own shop lot opposite, and my son decided to buy a “name band” for himself and his older brother, as souvenirs of this holiday in Kuantan!

Berjaya Megamall Kuantan is one of the oldest shopping malls in Kuantan, offering a variety of stores and eateries. Despite some shops relocating, it remains a popular venue for events with its two spacious atriums. The mall boasts clean facilities, ample parking, and cool air conditioning. While not as crowded as before, it still attracts visitors to its modern environment and diverse range of stores including Watsons, Guardian, Starbucks, McDonald's, and Machines.
Not as crowded as it used to be, makes it even better.

Stores include Watsons, Guardian, Starbucks, McDonald’s and Machines.

Located next to Grand Darulmakmur hotel. Deserted mall. Not many customers, most probably because there are many new malls. Have a cinema at the third level. There are clothings, shoes, jewellery, gadgets and watch stores. Also, they have McDonald and other restaurants. At the ground level, there is a sale of cheap clothings, a men 's T-shirt for RM29, children for RM19, and babies RM5

The person who designed this mall, especially the parking should be shot. You have to go up a spiral endlessly all the way to the top then make your way all the way down. What a waste of time. No wonder no one comes to this mall.

We were disappointed- there are not many shops open, it is a huge mall, I believe it must have been a busy place in its heydays but just looks abandoned now. The first thing I noticed when entering the mall was the toilet facilities. The toilet facilities at Megamall have been completely refurbished. The toilet here is like a toilet in a hotel and very clean. Megamall is not what it used to be now, as many stores are already closed and moved to big malls like ECM and KCM. Although Megamall is the third mall option in Kuantan, I still like to visit here due to its uncrowded and very quiet. I hope that Megamall will be able to re-establish their name again.

Went yesterday (21 Feb 2023). We went out 5.30 am and started going up around 6.40 am because we have morning prayer. It is recommended to hike up earlier and advisable to warm up first before going up, bring enough water and snacks. For someone that doesn’t hike for a long time, its quite challenging to go up the stairs but it’s worth it. Lovely cloud carpet and certainly nice to see the sunrise moment. Nevertheless it was a great experience.
Diana Sofea — Google review
Hiking up almost a thousand intermittent concrete steps to 270m mountain top at wee hours of the morning to watch the sunrise. Not a difficult hike. Tiring but refreshing by bathing oneself in the forest of negative ions and enlivening the spirit from the city dust.

It's about 50min drive from kuantan town... Came early to catch the sunrise and also the sea of clouds... It's quite an easy climb as they had built staircase along the route
Vincent Wong — Google review
Panorama Hill is a lovely spot to hike to in the wee morning, for sunrise and sea of cloud. One can start as early as 5+ for a sunrise hike, but we didn't as it was a cloudy day with unlikely sunrise to be witnessed.
However, the sea of cloud was really something, smoldering the whole town in a thick cloud and calmness.
The hike up takes about 40 minutes for an average hiker, it's not technically difficult but do bear in mind it's a long flight of stairs up hill. So it's highly advisable to wear proper shoes and a headlight would be really handy for the early morning hike.
Parking by the roadside near the little rest area and toilet at the foot of the hill is available for free.
After the hike, one could easily head down to the nearby marketplace for breakfast and coffee with the locals.

A good place to view sunrise.
View on the peak is phenomenal.
Hill is clean.
There are stairs along the way up to the hill, hence it's not difficult to trek.
However, trekkers need to be careful with sharp end of some of the broken handrails on the stairs.
Otherwise, all great.

About a 40mins stairs up, so train up your stamina. If you're fast and don't need rest. You can start the hike around 6am else I recommend starting 530. Went up there but it's very cloudy didn't manage catch the sunrise :/ overall quite a nice hike up.

Best time to come: Oct - Feb
I went July 1, as you can see from my photos and videos, there is still rainbow to be seen but is not as beautiful as raining season.
Nevertheless, this is a well preserve forest and a beautiful waterfall with a rainbow. Amazed with a few guides here, do note most guides don’t have proper safety briefing, there were multiple accident cases here.
I went with @airterjunpelangi_slr and highly recommend him as he is very experienced hiker.
Preparation:
- You need a shoe with excellent grip. The rocks are very slippery. If you don’t have, can rent adidas kampung for rm3
- Bring a pair of slipper in your bag. First you will take the 4WD to enter, once you complete the hiking trail, you might want to change to your slipper while on 4WD. That way you won’t be wearing your wet shoe for 1 hour.
- Some extra food. You will be in the waterfall area for about 1 - 2 hours. They will provide one cup noodle and one milo.
Leon Chan — Google review
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Malaysia. Catch it early to ensure you get the rainbow. How intense the rainbow is depends on the volume of water and how far up the sun is. Having said that, the rainy season is not the time to go as Sg. Lembing floods every year. You can take a four wheel in from the sg lembing market. includes the sunrise view. A short hike of about 30-45 mins from where parking lot takes you to the waterfall. Cyclists ride all the way or take a 4 wheel halfway in. They end up at the same parking area to hike in.

Went to Sungai Lembing rainbow waterfall on 10/7/2022 Sunday which is the first day of Hari Haji. The place was packed with big crowds. We paid RM60 each to a tour agent one day before the hiking via homestay owner to get us the permit to enter the sungai lembing rainbow waterfall. After the early sunrise tour, we immediately get into Toyota Hilux car to go to the base of the rainbow waterfall. It took an hour on the Hilux to get to the base on a super duper lumpy bumpy bad road condition with necessity to cross few rivers. We sat at the back of the Hilux. One Hilux car can sit 3ppls at the front, and 12 ppls at the back. After reaching the base, there are plenty of space for parking and everyone is queuing to go to the loo prior to hiking towards the Rainbow waterfall which will take an hour that cover 1km journey. For those who didn't bring their hiking shoes or anti-slippery shoes, you can rent it from the Orang Asli with only RM3 and you can even rent a hiking stick for RM0.50. Remember to return it to them as this is the source of income for them. The hiking is considered moderate to difficult and took some stamina as you are required to climb on big rocks and graping on the ropes to support your balance. I brought both my parents aged 70++, only my mother was able to go to the top and see the magnificient waterfall. Many elderly and young aunties that have knees problems couldn't reach to the top chose to sit at a flat ground approximately 200m before the waterfall. Many waited there for their family or friends. Once we reached the top, we saw a very high waterfall running from the tall mountain. The driver of the tour agent prepared us some snack (Maggie Mee) and some drinks (coffee/tea/Milo). They took the mountain water to boil and cook for us. We enjoyed the scenery with the view. Unfortunately we couldn't see the rainbow as the sun was shy away and the sky was blanketed with lots of clouds. It was a cloudy day! The tour agent said usually rainbow will appear after sunlight shining on the rocks. Feeling sad as many of us hiked and climbed all the way to witness the paradise rainbow waterfall. However, the view is still breathtaking and I would definitely to come again! Don't keep the area clean so that more generations can witness the fantastic rainbow waterfall 🌈🌈🌈

It was a tough trek for me 😞 but it was so worth it !☺️ our local guide - ah wah was very helpful and thoughtful guide !

Very beautiful Waterfall but unfortunately no rainbow in the day of visit as it was cloudy. Enjoyed the morning dip in icy mountain water and glad that they provided hot drinks and instant noodles. Hike there was not that kid friendly but the 4x4 ride was fun. Highly recommended!
Ken Tso — Google review
Can only be visited by 4x4 which took an hour of off road. Upon arriving at the entry point, you need to hike about an hour to reach the waterfall. Hiking trail is moderate difficulty. Kampung addidas can be rented at the entry point. Unfortunately during my trip, didn't see the rainbow.
Vincent Fung — Google review
We booked our 4x4 at the hotel reception area when we checked in. Rm60 per person including one Milo and Maggi cup at the waterfall. 5.30am the driver come pick us up at hotel lobby and go to breakfast.
After breakfast we depart to sunrise hill wait for the sunrise then depart to waterfall location. There is toilet available at sunrise hill and waterfall parking lot. There is small charge (rm0.30) to use toilet at waterfall parking.
You can rent a pair of shoes (rm3) if you don’t have suitable shoes. Advice to get a pair of kampung adidas (rubber shoes) because the it’s slippery and wet.
After crossing the river walk around 30mins to 45mins (+-1.2km) depending on personal fitness will reach the waterfall. You can hold the rope or walk freely to cross the river.
Once arrived at the waterfall, the guide will start to boil water to prepare the Milo and Maggi cup. We waited for the rainbow while eating the Maggi. The sun was not bright enough to make the rainbow more obvious.
Return and arrived at hotel around 12pm, just nice to get shower and check out before 1.30pm.
Overall it’s a tiring but fun trip.

Good place for knowing the history of Pahang. My kids love history very much. We explored the outer area only as it is closed on Monday. We planned to come here again.

Good place to bring children. Nice and cozy environment. Hostorical of Pahang very interesting. Reasonable entry fees of RM 10 for adults and free for kids below 12. Unfortunately not all gallery fully opened.

The museum is still under renovation and not open to public, but you can wander around the outer compound and scrutinize the superb scriptures and statues that consists of animals and fighting men. There are also real exhibits of helicopter, tank and so on. Beside the museum there is a cafe to relax your mind and have a scrumptious meal.

It's big and spacious, walk in a few buildings, some were close due to renovation at the time, good ambience, nice vibe, the museum cover about Royalty, Pahang creation, ceramic exhibition and prehistoric times exhibition. The employee was friendly, they show which way to go and open to questions, (though to them to give tour I think it need to be requested?) The fee is RM10 for local/student (adult) and RM50 for foreigners. They do have 2 cafe beside the museum, very convenient
Syuhada Ami — Google review
We didnt get inside but the outdoor is very clean.. Calm atmosphere with replica (or real) jet, heli, tank and much more at the field. Just beside an old train converted into a coffee shop.
Hidayah Sidek — Google review
I love everything about the museum, the exhibits, paintings, buildings and surroundings. They are so updated and modern yet doesn't lose it's traditional charm.
Only one feedback though, since shoes are not allowed I hope museum management can ensure the wooden floors are safe to be stepped on. The floors are clean and well maintained but the one in front of the gamelan room (near gramophone) is chipped. I didn't notice, stepped on it and it cut into my feet and there was some blood.
Overall, I had a great time at this museum and will visit again!

Visited this Museum during weekend. There are 3 aircond-areas inside this museum- Muzium Istana Kota Beram, Muzium Peradaban Awal Pahang & Personae Inderapura.
For citizen, RM10 per entry is rewarding as there are a lot of areas to be covered.
Most of the area just finished renovation, they need to mprove in term of signage & some of the artifacts didnt have any explanation/label on them. Apart from that, worthy experience.

Beautiful. Clean and well-kept.
It was early in the morning, and the friendly staff in this cowboy town were opening up the place and keeping it clean and neat.
Very nice morning walk, with clear blue skies, and nice landscape. We just walked around the outside and went for breakfast at Belibis, where the train is.
Beautiful place and one of a kind here in Pekan. Definitely worth a walk. Spend 30-45 mins here.

KEMASKINI 1 JULAI 2023 - GALERI MUZIUM DITUTUP SEMENTARA
The Sultan Abu Bakar Museum is one of the finest heritage buildings preserved in Bandar Diraja Pekan, Pahang Darul Makmur. It is situated in an area that is preserved for its significant wealth of history dating back centuries. Originally built for British Residents in Pahang, it then became the official palace of Sultan Abu Bakar (Sultan of Pahang IV), before being repurposed into what it is now.
The Sultan Abu Bakar Museum has a rich collection of historical items. Located on Jalan Sultan Ahmad, the museum showcases antiques that include many ancient Chinese pottery and glass items, as well as various other artefacts related to history, archaeology, ethnology, and royalty.
The history of Pahang, especially with respect to its ancient Royal Family, is well documented in this museum. The museum building dates back to the 1880s and was used as the headquarters of the Japanese Armed Forces during the Japanese occupation before it became the official palace of Sultan Abu Bakar (Sultan of Pahang IV).
Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mu’azzam Shah consented to transforming Istana Kota Beram into a state museum, and on 17 March 1976 the Pahang State Museum Board relocated to the site from the Office of the State Secretary, from where they were previously operating. Repurposed into a museum, renovations were carried out, especially to create indoor exhibition galleries.

A variety of high-speed slides, rides & a wave pool at a compact local water park.
This place is a little bit crowded during school holidays. But,you still have fun playing in the water park. Very recommended.

2nd time visited pahang and 1st time coming here with my children.. it is a good place for your children to have fun with water if you don't have another waterpark to go.. the facilities are still good and the tickets to enter the park are still reasonable.. you can find much more excitement park than this place but you need to get ready to spend more money than here.. for me, this place just enough for my children to spend their weekend if we don t have any place to go..

It was hell fun ya. Enjoyed alot. The amazing waterpark activities, the Coco beach, specially slides were much amusement.
One can get relaxation and liveliness there after a tiring routien. The crystal slides were scary but too much fun. The family tub slides we did like more than 4 times it was love.
The kids pool is much more amusement. Coco beach was also awsome. Overall is just awsome place for fun and entertainment.
Very reasonable price and food available. Easy Transport to get to the waterpark from kuantan. Car parking is available.

Nice water park for kids. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 big slides are closed. And it looks like those slides won't be going on for a while either. The same goes for the waves in the wave pool. They don't work anymore.
The children's pools and slides are working and that was a great success. The Racer was also a lot of fun! The staff are very friendly. It was a pity that the park closes at 5.30 pm instead of 6 pm.
David Engberts — Google review
A nice surprise... But I suppose they didn't expect the turn up to be that much on a rainy day.
The location is a little scary at first... And only the water park is open at the moment. The park is hidden from the parking space so you might be curious on what was in store. The entrance fee was affordable and worth it if you plan to stay the whole day, but for the food wise would have preferred if they have more options and volume.. 😅 But then again maybe they weren't expecting too many guests since it was raining. But very good and friendly service, ample place and space to roam about.
But as usual, bathroom is a bit too dark and can be updated.
I have good hopes for this place, hopefully it will fully reopen again.

One way to improve Gambang Water Park could be to invest in new and exciting water rides and attractions. This park could offer more amenities such as lounge chairs, and umbrellas for guests. Another way to improve the park could be to offer more food and beverage options, including healthier options, and have more seating areas for guests to enjoy their meals. Finally, the park could also improve customer service by providing more staff members to assist guests and ensure their safety.
The high price of amenities at Gambang Water Resort Pahang is a major drawback for many visitors. The resort charges exorbitant rates for basic amenities such as cabanas, tubes, and even water bottles, which can add up quickly and eat into the budget of a family or group. Additionally, the resort's food and drink prices are also significantly higher making it a less attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. Overall, the high cost of amenities at Gambang Water Resort Pahang is a major downside that may deter many potential visitors from choosing to visit there.

We had a conference in the resort. The service maintenance staff were responsive and able to resolve the the problems on a timely manner. The restaurant F&B staff were friendly and provided good service. The food was fresh and tasty. However could have been better if the maintenance of the place was better as the corridors leading to the rooms looked run down and a bit messy. Also the towels provided smelt musty and one of the arm chair in the bed room needed repairs.

This review is only about the Safari Park part of the resort; we haven't been to the rest of it. Basically this place is one of the biggest I've ever seen, but many parts of it are still not completed. The management might have some funding issues and are not doing enough marketing of the place. Maybe because it's located really far from major population centers, so it's really a hassle to get there. However the place is worth a visit if you're nearby. It just feels a bit dead with barely no visitors but us, and the animals! Despite that, they stick doing all the shows on time, which are quite elaborate. Just make sure you drink lots of water and are fit to walk around up and down as this place is huge. In addition to promotion, the place needs more cooling, like fans and sprinklers for the visitors.

The staff here is rude. For someone who is coming to your place for the first time, instead of saying of saying “welcome, sorry or no dine in yet and only one customer is allowed in at the time”, the first thing that came out from his mouth when I walked in was “satu orang, satu orang” with that bossy tone. N also there’s no signboards either. I believe I didn’t walk into a pasar malam ( in fact the hawkers are more respectful) I think your worker needs to be trained on customer management.

Never happened to me like this before in other branch. Dissappointed. 👎

Nevertheless, the service was nice if and only if the manager is there lah.

Nestled 75.1 km off the E8 Karak Highway, Jimmy's Durian Orchard covers 20 acres and features renowned durian varieties like Musang King, D24, and Tekka. Visitors can explore the orchard for free before indulging in a durian feast at the main hut. This popular spot attracts both locals and tourists seeking delicious durians straight from the trees.
We took a chance and walked-in to Jimmy Durian Orchard after breakfast and we're so happy to see that there were durians available for us. We were happy to be able to tuck into durians that had just dropped that morning. I'm not exactly a durian comnoiseur but I was happy with the taste and quality of the durians presented to us. Furthermore, Jimmy and his missus were so warm and friendly and we had a good chat while we were tucking in to the durians. Later, we were given a your of the durian orchard behind the house. It was a great experience seeing clusters of durians hanging off the branches.

We accidentally discovered the orchard during a recent roadtrip of Malaysia and spent one night. It is beautiful and well kept; the room for 3 was spacious and clean. We were able to walk around the orchard to stretch our car legs.
Jimmy was a welcoming host and we had great conversations about life, philosophy, investment, etc.
It's easy to miss the entrance off a busy road and must be very careful driving in and out.
....I forgot to try the durian!

Charge us rm50 per kg when durian season now is so cheap. If the durian is nice, I will happily pay but the durian was obviously not ripe and obvious not fall from tree ripe. Told the owner it is not good and hard. He INSIST it is good and say it is normal some part is hard. Because it is not ripe, the taste is not what you expect from msk, rich and deep taste. It is TASTELESS. We eat alot of diff type of durian incl msk. Pay thousand a year when it is in season. Please don't tell me this is how it suppose to be. When we insist it is not OK, we go SCOLDED and say we shouldn't have eat it then. Hello, we took 3 of us took 1pcs each and we stopped eating. You INSIST it is ok when we tell u not ok. Just bcos u think we r from kl? I normally dun review unless super good or super horrible. This is definitely one of the most horrible experience. The yucky durian taste still in our mouth! Such a rip off!

The Japanese Village is a unique tourist attraction nestled within a lush rainforest at an altitude of 3500 feet above sea level. Accessible through a climbing route, the village features a beautiful teahouse and tatami suite set amidst picturesque Japanese gardens. Visitors can rent traditional kimonos from the kimono house and strike poses against the backdrop of authentic Japanese architecture. A souvenir shop is available for visitors to purchase items or refreshments such as water and ice cream.
Japanese village at 3500 above sea level. Parking with limited space but someone will arrange the area. There will be a little climbing route to the entrance of the Japanese village. There is a sourvenir shop for some items or water and ice cream. They also have a kimono house, so you can rent and pose in the background in a real Japanese house. Take a tour around the forest trail and you will reach back at the entrance if you are truly a person who enjoys nature with a cool atmosphere.

Nice and simple place to go during the weekend but bear in mind that there's a lot of people hanging around and taking picture. You need to park and walk up the stairs around 200 meters. There's monkeys so please take care of your belongings properly. Overall its a nice and serene place but not really well maintained by the management.

After mco period (March 2022), now that area is not well maintained and the pond and the building looks like poorly maintained, no longer looks like few years ago got the japan vibe. Unless they clean and maintain back the environment, else is not recommended to go anymore.

Came here for quick visit. Expected to see nice Japanese garden with bonsai plant. Completely disappointed with the way it was maintained. Only 2 very run down Japanese hut over there. Plants are not taking care properly at all. Really don't waste your time and effort to drive all the wag here (or even Colmar Tropical). Only weather is a bit cooling, that's all.

If you are Nature Lover definitely will love this place. Silence, peace and nice environment. Entrance fee RM 14. Limited parking available here. During my visit the shops closed.

The location was good, but you need to walk too far to the hill to see the japanese hill house is not very practical. Many old folks were unable to enjoy the moment.
The building and the landscape design are still well kept.
Beside that, the suite and spa was closed during visit, maybe because of pendemic. There was a japanese restaurant at the hill. If you reach before 5pm you can have tea and short rest there.
If there is a shuttle that can reach the hill it will add more points.

Wonderful and secluded place, Wher you can admire flowers, intriguing Japanese garden and enjoy tasty meal with a view. All this in an breezy pleasantly cold (26 °C) environment. Truly a hidden gem.

I really like the smell of nature here. It does look a bit like a Japanese environment, with many spots where you can take photos and check in. It makes me want to go to Japan again to experience it😅.
There is a small Japanese forest on the other side. If you like flowers and plants or like to study plants, you can go in and take a look.
Unfortunately, the snack bar/souvenir spot outside does not have a very Japanese feel.

Japanese Park offers kimono rentals, and they take a single picture for you. You can purchase the photo for 30rm. It's a delightful experience in a compact space. To avoid crowds, visit in the morning. Overall, a great chance to embrace Japanese culture.

From car park you need to hike or climb stairs. Elderly is not recommended. The garden is not well maintained but the landscape is beautiful

The Japanese Garden at Bukit Tinggi left a lot to be desired. It lacked the well-maintained and tranquil atmosphere that is essential for a Japanese garden. The overall experience was far from the peaceful and immersive visit I had expected, and I hope that the management takes steps to improve the condition of the garden to better serve its visitors.

When you stay in Colamar there is a free shuttle service to visit this place. Many steps to climb. You can rent a kimono for RM 20 to dress and take photos.
There is a photo booth at the entrance taking everyone’s photos. When you come back they already printed your photo and put it in the table calendars. RM 30 😂

Quite an uphill walk from the carpark... The Japanese garden is still well kept but the waterfall and river is quite dried... Nothing much to see

The place itself is spectacular however the climbing on top is indeed challenging esp for elderly. Those on wheel chair I would recommend a very fit person to push the wheel chair going on top of the hill. Other than that we enjoyed the place very much
