Stately rooms in a venerable hotel offering a restaurant, parkland & a medieval wine cellar.
Beautiful and fantastic place to stay. Who doesn't want to stay in a castle for a night!? The breakfast that was included was very delicious as well. Would love to stay there again someday!

Owners are bad people. How about paying me for 4 days of performing? I even rented a harp. I'm a refugee from Ukraine, but they deceived me by promising to pay me later. 😡👎👎

Please note that my rating is based on my personal experience, and might not apply for staying at this hotel in general.
We booked one of the most expensive suites at the hotel, but the general toilets were right ouside our room, and some very loud handdryers were starting out of the blue Aprx. every half hour, making it impossible to get a good nights rest.
Bringing it to the attention of the receptionist resulted in:
"What a shame, the electrician were here just yesterday...he could have looked at it"..
I expected they would get the problem sorted..
But not so...4 nights of my vacation ruined by negligence...
Checking out, and being asked if everything was to my full satisfaction, I said not the case, and repeated the problem with the dryers going off at will, and sounding like a small rocketship..
A young helper at the castle, heard me, and said they jumped half a meter when they were in the area and they went off..(Seemingly a known issue..).
Receptionist said...I have noted your complaint..
Now 2 weeks after, having heard nothing, not even a small sorry for ruining your stay, and part of your vacation, I must say the one star is only because the roof wasnt leaking.
Other rooms might be okay, but my experience was definetely not, and under all circumstances, I would call the service somewhat shabby.

It was a nice place to stay if your preference is in medieval/historical time. The food is average. They are also flexible to do some food request
Ef Ef — Google review
The castle itself was charming. I really enjoyed it. The food on the other hand was inedible. There was no flavor at all in their fish dishes, and the beef was so soggy, it deflated when I touched it, and used extremely too much salt in their pea soup, and skinkesalat. It's a 2star restaurant trying to cook like a fine dining restaurant. I really hope they will consider having a different cook 🙏. But other than the food, the location is beautiful and the nature is inviting. 😊
The Kulturhuset Blokhus is a charming outdoor museum that showcases sand sculptures, paying homage to a tradition from the sixties and seventies when artists worldwide crafted these unique creations on the beach. In addition to the impressive sand sculptures, there are also captivating wooden and iron artworks on display. Visitors can either bring their own food or purchase refreshments onsite and enjoy them at one of the outdoor tables or in the grassy areas.
Great fun looking around the sculptures especially with all the Christmas lights - not a particularly Danish experience but so well done that you embrace the tackiness of the over the top display!
The sand sculptures are beautifully lit and what a craft they display!!

(Translated by Google) Have been there many many many times and each time it has been an extremely amazing experience. The many amusements in the park keep an active all day, and if you have a hotel room at their hotel, you can also expect a great experience. The food at the hotel is fantastic and the food in the park is also good. The water park is super fun and is perfect to cool off in, in the summer heat. Would definitely recommend Fårup summerland as your go-too park in Jutland.

Vil helt klart anbefale Fårup sommerland som din go-too park i Jylland.

(Translated by Google) With a 'neighbour' which in some cases is only an extra hour's drive away, Djurs Sommerland, this may have to be considered if you are an adult playboy, because the number of attractions for adults is limited.
Price level is on par with other Parkers = too high = everyone is carrying a hunchback with cooler bag etc.
Small appeal - find the reasonable prices because we guests don't actually want to drag the fridge from home (the ones we know) and then we'll probably have to buy a delicious salad/sandwich or similar.
Then there is just one website that didn't work on the day we were supposed to use it to buy tickets with a discount, but it might just be bad luck - but hardly the day before this function didn't work either.
(Original)

The arrangement of the animals cage is amazingly designed
When we could not see the lions we thought they just hide in the back and it’s too bad we can’t see them but nooo there’s an indoor side in the back where we could see them so easily and they do have little babies 😍🥹!

A place with interesting tourist infrastructure, a lot of places for barbecues, to eat, to relax. Unfortunately, on Friday after 4 pm, life dies there. Interesting small dinosaur park. However, doubts are raised by the conditions for animals that seem sad and neglected, especially elephants, big cats, polar bear.

A small yet special zoo with well cared for animals. Good for children with a great playground, as well as food for adults. The bus is easy and convenient.
Ewen McPhee — Google review
It was a wonderful experience to be able to visit the zoo with our dog! They must of course go always on-leash, and some areas are off-limits (like the tigers/lions area and children playground) but it's great to be able to spend a nice day with them. You can see several families walking around with their dogs. Inside the zoo there are several "dog bars" where they can drink water. The zoo itself is nice, the animals look well kept and clean (it's not depressing as other zoos we've visited). Adult tickets cost DKK 210 in the summer, DKK 125 for children (3-11 y/o), and students can get a discount and pay DKK 168. During winter it costs DKK 190 for adults, DKK 105 children and DKK 152 for students. If you go by car you can park nearby for free; otherwise you can get there easily by bike or bus. You can also buy food inside but there are not so many options, mainly pizza and burgers, but there's also the option to bring your own food and grill it there for free (this is not available on winter).

Brasserie Kunsten offers a delectable culinary experience with their dish called "little treats from the kitchen" priced at 228 per person. This dining experience is truly amazing, starting off with a mouthwatering combination of shrimp and lime/tonic jelly that leaves a heavenly taste. Wonderful museum with lots of fantastic models and information! It's a must if you like the sea and/or want to get into a submarine. It's also a great place for kids as it has a playground and it's possible to celebrate birthday parties on site. A very human and pet-friendly place, you're allowed to bring your food and eat there, while dogs are allowed on leash. Come to see -among other interesting items- a model of the Royal Ship Dannebrog and learn some new things!

Peter Aaslev Olsen — Google review
AMAZING maritime museum, in my eyes a world class museum with a near endless exhibits. I could sense the work, effort and passion that went into this museum and its displays. Must have been several hundred models of just about every type of ship you could think of. These aren't basic models these are INTRICATE and DETAILED pieces of art, that took months to create by real artisans. THEN there is the submarine!! I can't imagine a more intact submarine on display anywhere else. This one looks like the crew was in there a few days doing their work. Dials, switches and valves all worked, could even use and focus the periscope!!! In America a display like this would have been striped to the hull before opening it to the public.

The jewel of the collection is Springeren, where kids are having a lot of fun climbing around inside and touching everything.

A great maritime experience for adults and children. A huge submarine(Springer) is displayed outdoor which allows you to enter and explore the inner workings as well. An area is dedicated to explain the history of ancient houses of Aalborg with cute little models. The Shipyard hall contains wide variety of exhibits that takes us back in history. The information regarding each exhibit is explained in english too!!!
I would recommend to keep enough time in hand to explore all the exhibits.
Nowfala Nowshad — Google review
An amazing place! I did not expect it to be this great from the looks of it. You get to go inside a real submarine, decompression chamber and many more. There also are some beautiful models. The museum is extremely kid-friendly.
Marta Sylwia Małecka — Google review
An amazing time! I visited with some Naval Engineering colleagues to see the experience. The models and exhibit inside was ok and had lots to see, however the outside exhibit was by far the best bit. Lots of interactive activities for children and adults, including exploring the inside of a submarine, a small naval vessel and a helicopter in the hanger at the back.
You can also 'drive' two anti-aircraft guns on the grass (climb inside and aim the guns vertically) which was excellent fun. Really well put together and worth the ticket price!

Vikingemuseet Lindholm Høje is a contemporary museum showcasing Viking culture and history, along with a burial site containing gravestones. Aalborg's most significant historical legacy lies within the Viking period and the Limfjord, which acted as a motorway for longboat raiding parties' easy access to the Atlantic.
Very interesting museum in which to learn about the Viking Age. You can take a look at lots of recovered items and read about them. All of the text is in Danish but they have tablets with the information in English and German (maybe more languages but I didn't check). Definitely a place to visit!

Wonderful museum with decent prices and great service.
We visited the museum as a group of 6 Germans and 1 Danish. The lady was very nice explaining us some stations only available in Danish and also gave us some extra information on the side. The souvenir shop is also decently priced compared to what museums usually take as well as the entry fee itself. The grave hill is even free to visit. There is also an extra exhibit showing general findings in the fjord area which was very interesting in addition to the local exhibit.

Nice museum, not only viking but also old age .

The Viking museum was extremely informative and a must-see for those with Nordic ancestry. We were unable to eat in the adjoining Cafe as there was a large group event inside and all of the outside tables were full as well -- perhaps good signs about the quality of the food?
Many of the displays had legend cards in English, but some did not. There were iPads in the museum as well at some of the displays which could be scrolled up to change the language presented which was helpful.
Being able to walk in the cemetery among the stones and the ancient funeral pyre remains was a remarkable experience, but the path through the small forest filled with the constant cacophony of crows was a little spooky especially considering its proximity to all of those old viking souls. It felt like a Harry Potter movie moment.

Very interesting and beautifully designed exhibition, makes you feel like you’re walking through history. Many archeological items from the area of Aalborg are displayed, with information available in Danish, English and German describing the daily life of the Vikings. Next to the museum are the burial grounds, which don’t require an entrance fee.

Milica Kovačević — Google review
Fantastic destination for anyone interested in Viking history. This is a large Viking graveyard dating from 600 to 1000 as, with burial mounds for many, including a number of warriors interred with ships. Only a statical glitch during the ice age saved it as the entire site was buried and thereby preserved.
The museum is very nice and worthwhile. Definitely visit and pay the fee to support the site.
Recommended, only a few minutes outside Aalborg. Easy to get to and ample parking.

I never knew what a viking burial was like until I visited Lindholm Hoje. It's amazing to me how old these graves are. The museum was cool to visit and larger than I expected. I came close to closing time so I didn't explore as much of it as I would have otherwise.
Mariah Schimon — Google review
The big surprise here was the large medieval burial ground on the hill close to the museum. Before they were birthed, the most significant people were burnt on a wood bed encircled by stones.
The museum was very well organised and also worth a visit.

Hotel Lokken Beach is a charming boutique hotel located in an old schoolhouse in Lokken. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast and dinner at the recommended restaurant nearby, which is considered one of the best in town. The hotel's friendly and professional staff ensure a pleasant stay, while its convenient location near the beach adds to its appeal.
This small hotel is very modern and beautifully furnished. Simple but to the point. I was previously in large design hotels in Malmö and Copenhagen and this hotel can definitely keep up with the interior design.
The breakfast was - although out of season and no buffet - great!
And the service was really outstanding.
The restaurant that was recommended to us is probably the best in this very small town and the furnishings and service there were also top.

OK, they have free toilets lol. And a map. Most of the center is paid, so you need to buy a ticket to enter. We didn't do that and opted for a walk in Lille Vildmose.

Great place to go with the family for a day. We also did the tour and even though we couldn’t see the vildmose we learned a lot from the guide

I should have taken more time for this than I had, what a beautiful place, what a rich history and with interesting exhibitions! You can enjoy it here for hours.
It is special that this is completely privately owned, so not subsidized by the government. Congratulations to the owners because they clearly put a lot of love and time into it.
Wear good shoes because to go from building to building you have to walk over authentic stones. The view is also beautiful and the cafe is definitely worth a visit (for a snack).
If you have the opportunity to visit the Abbey, do it!!

Staff interactions, left much to be desired.
I'm familiar with various acquaintances and family members who have organized markets and art exhibitions at the monastery. Additionally, I visited the place during my childhood, but I haven't been back since then.
Recently, I accompanied some friends from abroad to Børglum Monastery.
Honestly, I didn't have the most pleasant time. The customer service from both the staff and owners seemed lacking in my view.
The owner only spoke in Danish to my friends, who were unable to understand the language.
Throughout our time at the monastery, we felt uncomfortable due to being constantly filmed and monitored by cameras, and the staff seemed to closely observe us and even took pictures of our group.
To my surprise, the owners even contacted the police, apparently due to concerns about having tourists around.
When we were leaving, the departure experience was also far from enjoyable, both in terms of their tone and attitude.
Considering my personal experience, I find it difficult to recommend a visit to Børglum Monastery.
My suggestion would be to explore alternative options.
Maggefus — Google review
I recently visited Børglum Kloster with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience left me deeply disappointed. While the museum's exhibits showcased intriguing artifacts and rich history, the overall user experience was marred by several issues.
My biggest concern was the treatment I encountered from the staff. Regrettably, I experienced instances of discrimination and racism during my visit. As a foreigner, I had hoped to feel welcomed and embraced by the museum's atmosphere. Instead, I encountered hostility and unwarranted prejudice from certain members of the staff. Such behaviour not only diminishes the museum's reputation but also creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment for visitors.
I firmly believe that museums should be inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity and foster cultural understanding. It is disheartening to witness such behaviour at Børglum Kloser. I strongly urge the museum management to address these issues promptly and implement measures to ensure that all visitors are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background.
While the exhibits themselves were noteworthy and informative, the negative encounters I had overshadowed the overall experience. It is crucial for any institution to cultivate an atmosphere of inclusivity and respect, and I sincerely hope that Børglum Kloster takes immediate action to rectify these concerns.
Until the museum demonstrates a commitment to addressing the reported issues and creating a welcoming environment for all visitors, I regrettably advise potential visitors to reconsider their plans to visit Børglum Kloster.

Because we were interested in everything there was to see, we took quite some time to see everything, but for the owner of the place that took way to long and called the dansk Police on us. Without us knowing about that situation we we're pretty surprised to be finding out that the police was waiting for us outside 5 man strong. So no I can't recommend this place to visit in any way, the owner and the family is everything but welcoming, so that's a clear NO

Because my maternal grandparents and their family are from that area of Denmark I had the privilege of spending time there 46 years ago. So, I'm familiar with the abbey. We would stand on the hill by the windmill and watch ships in the distance. On the longest day of the year we went there to watch the bonfires that dotted the area in celebration of the Burning of the Witch.
Six years ago I returned to a greatly updated Børglum Kloster. I really enjoyed my return. It gets my highest recommendation. Lots of history. I finally got to see the inside of the Abbey. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Probably more so than I would have 46 years ago.
The hill is still there. The view is as I remembered. It was very nostalgic standing where as I did decades ago. It was somewhat bittersweet. But I had a great time anyway.

Rubjerg Knude is a well-known lighthouse that was constructed in 1899. Situated around 14km north of Lokken and on the way to Lonstrup, it lies in an area of sand dunes which highlights the raw power of Mother Nature on this windy coast.
Amazing location! Best part it's free! The sand dunes are hard to walk up, but turns out there is a path going to the left and up. However, it's fun to climb the dune and get sand up with the sun don't shine :) just weird that they moved the place to save the history
Peter DeBrass — Google review
A very nice walk on the dunes before visiting the lighthouse in the middle of the sand. If you go to the top of it, you'll zee the sea and surroundings where people wrote their names with old broken bricks. Very windy, a little bit rainy, but worth it

Excellent park on the Danish coast, it's a bit of a hike to get to the tower but the scenery is beautiful all the way up. Lots of parking is available but it's popular so it fills up fast, there are lots of campers too. The entry offers a public restroom which is stocked and clean. The walk up the tower is good, but there are a few steps that are in a state of disrepair so be careful. If you're traveling the Danish peninsula this is definitely worth the detour.

Fascinating place, if you are in the area, it is an absolute must see. The mountain of silky sand and the views are mesmerising. Great fun for young and young at heart! There are free public toilets at the car park and a little shop with everything what you need for refreshment. For a little charge the tractor with a trailer can bring you directly there and then back if you feel like, and it is possible to pay with a card too. One tthe tractor trailer we had great fun and saw the local animals grazing. The walk on another hand, takes about 10-15 minutes and is also very relaxing. For those who are brave, there is a helicopter ride.

Definitely worth a visit! We flew to Aalborg then took a bus to Hjørring to stay in a hotel. The Google map doesn’t work well in this area. It told us to take 75 but that’s not running regularly. Take 71 from the airport to Hjørring!
Most people probably drive there but we don’t have a car. Bus isn’t really practical but could still work. The closest bus station is at least 1km away and the bus 80 runs every hour.

Super cool location. A 10-15min walk from the free parking. The view from the light house is amazing. Bring sunglasses or goggles if it’s windy because the sand will get you everywhere. The coastline is eroded and creates a cool pattern. The parking lot was full when we were there but not so many people at the light house.
Erik Eriksson — Google review
although I have flown many times, here I had such a fear when climbing the stairs, they don't seem very safe, but the view from the top is beautiful.
below there are some writings made of brick, someone with imagination exceeded the limit with🤍
besides the other beaches, there is a different kind of sand here, finer and cleaner, and a lot of it
in the parking lot some beautiful cows were quietly eating grass, and on the way to the tower, sheep filled the landscape and the plain
ANDREEA LŐRINCZI — Google review
This was such a fun place to visit. The views were so beautiful and the walk to and from the lighthouse were nice. The sheep were super cute but didn't want to come say hi. I'm definitely grateful that they decided to move the lighthouse a few years ago to preserve it from future erosion.

Rubjerg Knude Light House is one a the absolutely most see attractions in Norrh Jutland.
With free admission and parking this place offers magnificent views of the coat, the ocean and the now moved old light house.
The elevation makes it possible.to view both Løkken to the South and Lønstrup to the North.
If it's windy bring glasses and scarfs as the sand, even moderate wind speeds, can be rough.

Perfect Dune place with all the sand! The weather was not perfect but still very worth the visiting. At least it’s not so windy so it’s great to see everything. All the kids like it too walking on the sand and playing there. Could take at least one hour but easy to spend two. Highly recommend it!

Safe harbour, with ticket box to pay harbour fee. Great facilities for sailors in the guest harbour with showers, toilets, kitchen, washing machine etc. The harbour area has some nice reataurants and eating places, ice cream kiosks and pancake house within 100 metres. 300 metres away you find a large grocery store with opening hours 7.30am to 10pm (7.30-22) 7 days a week in the high season. Nice beaches and golf course not too far away.

"Neck"/Hals Harbour has many beautiful views to complement the substantial collection of sailboats and Motorboats-- as well as a Ferry service which crosses the fjord. There are also many services including a great supermarket (Meny), several restaurants and ice cream shoppes {seeming a "summer addiction" for Danes as well as travellers}, free WIFI and places to sit.. Much of the town's other features are readily accessible such as the nearby park, walks along the Fjord, the Library [where the service is amazingly professional! Its a great place to visit.

The lighthouse is picturesque and I visited on a day with blue skies and snow. The views to the windswept coastline stunning. Added bonus is the incredible open air bunker museum which surrounds the lighthouse. Great informative plaques and one has been set up with bunk beds and furniture to show what they would have looked like in WWII.

Incredible experience if you like WW2 relics. Take a walk through old trench lines still running through the sand or climb inside old bunker rooms some of them restored to perfection. Furthermore, there are weapons and pictures from the old days and even a sea mine is to be found amidst the dunes. Even if concrete walls are nothing for you, the Hirtshals lighthouse and the beach might interest you. One little downside generally in Denmark, it is always windy. Be sure to bring a sweater then you are equipped for that awesome experience in Northern Denmark 🇩🇰

This lighthouse was really great to visit! The place is really picturesque and typical Danish. The view from the top is fantastic! Best part with our visit was that Søfartsstyrelsen was doing their annual service and the technician was really great explaining how it all worked. We really appreciated being allowed this opportunity because our kids were amazed by it also.

We had a lovely day here with some rain but a great experience, walking through the small paths. It feels like going back in time. The only thing we would have like would be for the kitchen bunker and sanitation bunker to be opened. They had padlocks on them and it seems you have to pay to see it. That was a shame and we would have loved to see that.

There were no signs of animal abuse. As they repeatedly say, they use 1000 year old eagle hunting techniques. Good job organizing a show with these wild birds.

Nice place. They got some nice eagles and the show was good as well. But may be there is still room for improving the performance of the show.

I just wish if they had the White head American Eagle.
It's a nice experience especially for kids.

A beautiful one hour show that displays some absolutely stunning birds of prey and an amazing collaboration between humans, horse, and bird.
It was very moving to experience the animals up front and close as well as the falconry traditions being displayed. Its very much worth a visit.

A fantastic experience, seing there majestic birds close up! And the humans are good at explaining details and the history.

Absolutely fantastic and really shows how huge these birds are, which cannot be captured in caged animals and or video.
You're required to be seating during the entire show of one hour, so do not bring children whom aren't able to sit still for that duration

Their eagle-show lasts around one hour in which a wide variety of birds are shown. Highly recommended. Showcasing birds of prey that are not normally seen around this part of the world or are just not common.

Amazing show & very interesting exhibition, great service at the shop too. Dress warmly though, the eagle show lasts for about 60-70 minutes and the wind can get pretty cold :) blankets are available for free at the shop if necessary. The show happens in Danish & English.
Well worth the hike, even in streaming rain and battering winds just before closing. If you're going to skagen remember to get the slightly more expensive ticket that grants admittance to the kystmuseet there as well

Bangsbo Fort is located on a hilltop plateau on the southern outskirts of Frederikshavn, and the vantage point 82 metres above sea level provides a remarkable view out over Frederikshavn and the waters of the Kattegat. On clear days, the it is possible to see all the way to both Skagen and Læsø.

One of the most coolest places in Denmark I've been watching at bunkers and also in one of the bunkers you get too hear how is was to be questioned by the Danish gestspo during the 2. World War, "that's a very though challenge to get through" so if you are strong mentally you should go for it and it is not for everyvody. My experience was very scary. But you also get a lot of information about how they used the area. So I totally recommend it to anyone is interested in both photography and history.

Military history at its best! South of Frederikshavn is the 80 meter high hill Pikkerbakken where the German Kriegsmarine had a group of bunkers built during WWII to protect the harbor. In 1944 the bunkers were armed with Krupp cannons from the Danish artillery ship Niels Juel. After the Danish Navy took over the facilities at the end of WWII, Bangsbo Fort became an important control center during the heyday of the Cold War (1952-1962). The Danish navy still controls shipping traffic in the Kattegat and Skagerak from this hill. Since 2005, the part of the hill with the old bunkers has been open to the public, the cannons have been restored and the Kystmuseet opened its doors. And that is only to be welcomed, because the museum and bunkers are absolutely worth a visit!

The museum is definitely worth visiting, especially, the hospital and the naval command bunkers, the former has detailed designs of the sanitation systems. There is a free, 1h guided tour in Danish language at 1100 hours. The entry ticket is valid for 7 days and one can visit total 4 museums (kystmuseet) any no. Of times. There are only two(at least, publicly accessible)15cm cannons which aren't well maintained.
The museum authorities said that it doesn't receive any patronage or support from the commune where it's located and the entire expenses have to be covered with the entry fees. This explains well the poor maintenance of bunkers and cannons. While I respect every local language in the world, the artifacts are explained only in Danish which prevents foreigners from understanding the information. Another disappointing fact is that the museum is located in a military-controlled area, probably, that's the reason that 60% or more of the bunkers are closed for public access.

(Translated by Google) The zoo is cut through by the Bangsbo Å, and is part of the wildlife in the contiguous Bangsbo Ådal, where there are large areas of deciduous forest with wild red deer, roe deer, badgers, birds of prey, woodpeckers, small birds, and in the brook there are otters, kingfishers and trout. On the old damaged beech trees in the zoo, it can be a good place to find, for example, oystercatchers in December to February.
The forest also offers a nature playground with a covered packed lunch hut with tables and benches as well as a barbecue (bring your own charcoal) and a campfire where you can prepare and enjoy food you have brought.
The forest consists of both deciduous and coniferous forest. The broad-leaved forest is descended from remnants of the original broad-leaved forest on the site, and the conifer forest was established with state subsidies at the end of the 1800s.
Bangsboskoven has always been a beautiful pleasure forest for Bangsbo's owners and visitors, and formed the framework for countless events and lively activity in the forest. With the purchase of the area, the municipality secured a fantastic recreational area adjacent to Pikkerbakken and Møllehuset.

I like the place - it’s huge. You have lots of vehicles (bikes, little cars etc) to use and an awesome playground to keep little and big kids happy and busy. The only negative Is that the animals you can touch (kids can handle by themselves) like the kitten and guinea pigs don’t have any staff taking care that they are handled correctly. The kittens were played with for hours and so exhausted because they didn’t get any sleep :/ I like that kids can roam around by themselves but there are some areas where supervision would be better for the animals…

You can see in the picture that the net and the wire is broken. It is a real danger for the children!!!
2 years ago - most of the bicycles was broken!!!
Last year it was the same!!!
This year (2018 july), I was again with my family and guess what? Also this year many bicycles was broken.
Except all from above, it is a really nice place to go with family and friends. A place with many friendly animals and an nice playground for the children.

We had a great time here! You can pet and feed many of the animals. The animals are happy and seem well taken care of. There is also a climbing park and labyrinth, and you can camp here. You can bring your own food, the food at the restaurant is pretty basic and consists of hotdogs, burgers and nuggets.
Fun place for adults and kids alike!

FarmFun in Ålbæk, Vendsyssel, Denmark is an absolutely fantastic family park. My wife and grand son and I had all a very good experience. The park's charm started already at the entrance, where we were greeted by friendly staff and a rural atmosphere that invites fun and play.
Most impressive is the wide range of activities suitable for all ages. Our grand son loved riding one of the cute ponies, and jumping on the trampolines and exploring the exciting play areas.
We also felt entertained and engaged. The well-maintained surroundings, beautiful scenery and relaxing walks made it a quality time for us all together.
The prices are reasonable and the quality is exceptional.
All in all, FarmFun was an extraordinary experience. With its charming atmosphere and countless activities it is a family park worth visiting again. I highly recommend FarmFun to anyone who wants to create unforgettable moments with their loved ones.

Overall we had a blast and would definitely recommend a visit. Lots of animals to interact with and plenty of space to explore.
Improvements could be made on the maintenance of the cars 🚗 . The steering on some of them didn’t work. 🍲 Instead of purely fast-food some healthy options would be great. 🚬 Smoking should be prohibited entirely or a smoking corner established.

Råbjerg Mile is a vast sand dune spanning across 2 square kilometers, located in the northern part of Denmark. This desert-like area offers stunning panoramic views from its peak, overlooking both the North Sea and Baltic Sea simultaneously. It is a popular tourist attraction for families with children. However, on windy days, the dunes move rapidly and visitors should not rely on landmarks for direction to avoid getting lost. Overall, Råbjerg Mile is an impressive natural wonder worth exploring.

Beautiful location. There is plenty of parking, free toilets (probably 7/10 on cleanliness when I visited). The dunes are amazing. It’s very easy to walk to a the edge of the dune where you have a large view of the dune. It’s not handicap accessible however if you can walk it’s a short easy walk to the edge. To climb the dune it took about 30 minutes for a group of young people to climb to the top. View is worth it. You can see both the North Sea and Baltic. Easily see skagen and whatever cruise ship is in port. Great visit for the family. Very clean.

What a fantastic visit...! Of course, the landscape is absolutely fascinating, but what made this trip even more memorable for this clumsy guy, was the kindness of a person, who somewhere in one of hundreds of sand dunes found my mobile phone and thoughtfully place it on top of the gate by the parking lot. Thank you SO much...!

A giant sand dune that you would totally not expect in a country like Denmark. In some places you can only see sand and more sand. I really recommend it. Probably there's some way to reach by bus, but if you go by car is an easy parking. Also there is a small building with toilettes and picnic tables. By the way, there are some reviews/photos with a lighthouse, those reviews are incorrect and correspond to Rubjerg Knude!
Skagens Museum is an elegant renovated hotel and gardens that showcases outstanding art produced in Skagen between 1870 and 1930. The museum presents the figurative style of painting established by artists who discovered Skagen's unique luminous light and wind-blasted heath-and-dune landscape in mid-19th century. Their work, which depicts romantic imagery of fishing life, earned the people of Skagen a hard living for centuries, and became renowned internationally as 'Skagen School'.
Great paint museum here in the northest point of Denmark.

The Skagen artists lived a vivid and interesting life. It's very fascinating to see how most of them knew each other and how they shared so many things - including art. The current exhibition gives a unique insight to their lives by taking us i to their homes. Worth a visit!

Lots of sentimental and slightly twee paintings of posh people in gorgeous light, or poor people in gorgeous light. Did I mention the light is gorgeous? That seems to be the entire point of the Skagen school. You're better off outside, enjoying the light for yourself.

Lovely museum showcasing artwork from many prominent Danish artists who flocked to Skagen seeking a shift away from the bustling cities and provides great information about Skagen's history.
It is integrated into the former Brøndum's Inn, where portraits of many prominent artists and the dining room can still be seen. The "drawing" room offers books on the history of many of these artists, and offers great insight.
There are two separate galleries and the temporary one of Marie Krøyer was exceptional.

Grenen is a thin finger of sand at the northernmost point of Denmark, where two seas converge - the Kattegat and Skagerrak. The area serves as a habitat for dolphins and seals. Although it's possible to stand with one foot in each sea, swimming is prohibited due to strong tidal currents. Grenen also holds historical significance as there are remnants from World War II present.
The end of Continental Europe. Where the Baltic Sea meets the North Sea. Here you can find some relics from the World War 2.
And if you are too tired to return, take the Shuttle Service. 10 Euro for 3 adults and 3 Kids. A fair price.

Beautiful clean beach which is great for a walk and look at some sea creatures like jelly fish and star fish. Apart from that, not much to do here since you are prohibited from bathing due to currents and it's too windy and cold to just lie and enjoy the sun.

Stunning view where North Sea and Baltic Sea (Kattegat) meets- the northern tip of Denmark . On a clear day you could distinguish between the two different see with different colour of water- once in a lifetime experience! If you are lucky, you can also spot seals are laying around the sands. In this shallow reef, many bunkers (made by Germany during WW2) are in sight. There’s also bunker museum nearby. The walk to the tip where the two seas meet from the parking lot, is about 40 minutes hard walk in moving sand and strong wind. There’s a bus available : sandormen for elderly people/people with knee/leg problems.
