Lovely place to shop. The Designer Outlet Luxembourg is not a commercial high-rise block but more like a pedestrian avenue with rows of shops on both sides.
I especially love the seats placed along the centre of the avenue, for tired shoppers to sit and rest, while the others continue their browsing and shopping.

Lowly place 😃 for shopping on discount.
Plenty of shops, some are better stocked than others but in general "must go place" for good price for brands. They always have some extra offer so you can get an even better price.
Variety of restaurants and coffee shops to chill.
Clean, easily accessible from highway and easy for orientation while there. Huge parking space so you can always find somewhere to park.

A designer outlet shopping complex with lots of known brand ad discounted prices when compare with Luxembourg city and not far away from it. You may find something that your like. I did.

Well, we don't hate people for their skin but for the animal behavior. Look what an indian family did there and left without a fart carring. I know that civilization is not for everyone but at least do not bad things.

Perfect place for lixembourgers to come for a quick shopping, obviously lacking shops compared to bigger outlet shops within few hours drive.

it was great and it was pretty, i'm just kinda sad that some store were closed. also two workers took the bench we were sitting one so it was weird, they didn't tell us why but i guess they had to. but the stores that were open were great and the sellers too.

Average campus, compared to the one in Berlin this not even half the size. Also not much offers and crowd even during the weekends. Accessibility is bit difficult using public transportation. If you have a car its not a long drive from Trier & Lux.
AJITH GOPI — Google review
Great selection of stores, reasonable good prices (for Europe, for US customers the deals aren't that great). Lots of parking available. Could use an EV charger though.

Very nice and big outlet store. I do recommend to visit this place and plan for at least the whole day.
This large medieval castle on a hill features numerous watchtowers, sweeping views & audio guides.
The castle is mostly in ruins but is quite large and fun to explore. The views of the surrounding valley are wonderful.

Beautiful castle with a scenic view. Saw from outside. There is small cafe with terrace , the view of the landscape and castle is nice from there.. parking and visit to cafe is free. But the main building has a ticket.. it was not too crowded so tickets can be purchased after reaching the location.. one of the must see castle if you are travelling from North of Luxembourg.

Fantastic Castle, very easy access and parking. The grounds are expansive and many locations accessible. The blonde female working this week was extremely humble and polite even though I could only speak English. Well worth a visit!
Brendan D — Google review
A must visit castle for its location and the scenic views of the surrounding from the castle top. No wonder it's a impregnable fort given the build and the chosen place. For public transport visitors, a fair warning: it's a 2km walk from bus station and the return is a very steep climbing; thus energy consuming.

We LOVED this castle! We visited with three adults and three kids aged 5,3, and 1. It was a short walk from the Parking lot across the street to the entrance to buy tickets. The kids were free and the tickets for adults were more than reasonably priced. There was seating for food on the second floor above the ticket desk but we didn’t eat there. Lots of souvenirs and postcards and whatnot with clean bathrooms. The castle itself was beautiful with some restoration and even has areas for events and a historical gallery with artifacts and models of the castle in its various stages. The older two kids were able to navigate the whole castle, if with close observation in some areas, and I felt comfortable wearing the baby. The map was great, wish I had gotten the audio tour now that I’ve done one elsewhere. Make sure to stop at one of the observation decks on the way to or from, it’s such a gorgeous castle.

A gorgeous castle in Luxembourg! Exactly what we were looking for. The fact that it is ruins gave us a sense of the age of the structures. The museum on the third floor of the house was very good- the had the information in several languages

A must visit castle in Luxembourg! It’s a perfect destination for a one day trip. We spent the day here! There is an amazing view point to the castle just 1.5 kms before you reach the actual castle. The castle is beautiful with a lot of history! Highly recommend the audio tour which is just 2 euros! There is a small cafe on top of the castle, which has a beautiful view and the drinks are super reasonable! I would just go here for a drink and the view! Overall an amazing experience and MUST visit 💝 it’s open on public holidays too! So perfect to plan any day!

Such a beautiful and mesmerizing castle, easy to reach from Luxembourg city, there was no people inside, the entrance fee for students was 5€ + possible to get Audio guide for extra 2€, be careful, in one building (I guess number 22 or 21) there are many bats, don’t wake them up:)

It was amazing to visit there. You can see the birds eye view of the near village from above of the mountain. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day. I do not habe so many pictures

We came a bit after 10am and there was some parking available in the lot. By 12pm, it was pretty full and people were parking on the side of the road. You can buy tickets (7€) at the gift shop and then enter through the buzzer gate. There are lots of stairs and cobbled walkways so wear comfy shoes and watch your step. There are some beautiful views at the top. Parking and toilet are free. We spent about an hour here.

Beautiful and well maintained, though there were some areas of improvement (cardboard boxes in a corner of a turret). Friendly staff and appropriate souvenirs. Merci! Danke!

Loved the castle ruins! There was parking right at the bottom of the hill to enter the castle. Not busy when we went at all. Bought tickets when we showed up and not in advance. Incredible views and not too far from Luxembourg city!

An interesting partially ruined castle in northern Luxembourg not far from Vianden. The castle is fun to climb around, but the English audioguide needs some work (it reloads constantly and it’s on your phone). Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area to see Vianden.
Clervaux Castle, a 12th-century château in Luxembourg, was rebuilt after being ravaged by fire during WWII. The castle now houses several museums, including one dedicated to the Battle of the Ardennes during WWII and another focusing on Luxembourg castles with scale models. However, the standout attraction is undoubtedly Edward Steichen's photography exhibition Family of Man which features 503 black-and-white photographs taken by 273 photographers from 68 countries in mid-20th century.
Paid 3.5€ to enter the Ardennes war museum. Learned a lot of new things on the second world War and the US involvement in the fights in this part of Europe. It was totally worth it. The building was well kept. A good place to stop by if you're in the area! Friendly staff.
Karim Aissa Baccouche — Google review
The museum of the Battle of the Ardennes was an interesting surprise; there were many objects on display. A second museum there has dioramas of many Luxembourg castles, some highly detailed. The diorama museum provides the best interiors of the castle itself.
Carl Young — Google review
It's more of a mansion than a castle. It's situated in beautiful surroundings. There are two museums in the castle. 5 Euro for both the museums. There is a church and monastery nearby near the castle. From the Clervaus railway station, you can walk to the castle or take public transportation.
Swati Murteli — Google review
It’s a cute town and interesting castle. There are museums inside that are worth the visit.
Sheila Young — Google review
Awesome place that we had to visit and has a lot to do with battle of the bulge, as well as having a good museum. Free parking in the castle square as well as a nice selection of shops.
thomas cairns — Google review
The castle has been transformed into museums, there are 3 (maquettes, bataille des Ardennes and the family of man) and a beautiful garden (Cité de l'image). Too bad it doesn't have wheelchair access. There are stairs to all sides. The exposition of the model is very good and it is about the existing castles in the country, either in ruins or restored. The garden, although small, is very beautiful. It's worth the visit. Cheap ticket that can be purchased individually or as a combo. There is an elevator to go up to the castle but the museums inside it are only accessible via stairs.

The family of Mann. Fantastic. Ardenne War museum very small and not much histori. Many realistic scenes with figures.
Tore Binderup Christensen — Google review
What a beautiful and breathtaking experience, from the wonderfully detailed castle to the stunning views whilst topping it off with the gorgeous landscape and of course the excellent detailed models inside, you’d be silly not to visit and take the whole family! Extremely well priced considering the amount of attention to detail they have put into these models, overwhelming beautiful if you ask me. Will definitely be coming again next year!

Very nice location in the middle of the village. Very easy access and an interesting museum in the castle about WWII. There are more exibitions there if you have time to visit them.

Very nice castle with a beautiful church next to it. Not open in the weekend so it is a pity.
I don’t really like the full white painted walls. I prefer it’s original color which matches better with its history.
Quantum Banana — Google review
Beautiful castle and surrounding area. No signs to tell you to come in. WW II museum was small but very cool.
Scott Coverstone — Google review
There is a photograph exhibition entitled The Family of man...we thought it was a little misleading as we thought it was an exhibition about Edward Steichen. It's not. It's photos he collected. And for that it's a bit over priced at 6 euros. The exhibition is ok but it's NOT Steichen.
Jon Flynn — Google review
It's less of a castle and more of a large mansion. Thwr eare two museums : one for the photos of Edward stiechen and one for the battle of the Bulge. Dogs not allowed inside. Honestly felt a little tame compared to the other castles that Luxembourg has to offer
Located in Bastogne, the Mardasson Memorial is a striking tribute to American soldiers who were injured or lost their lives during the Battle of the Bulge. Designed by architect Georges Dedoyard, this imposing structure takes the form of a 12-meter tall five-pointed American star with points extending 31 meters and a central atrium measuring 20 meters in diameter. The memorial offers fantastic panoramic views of the battle areas and features informative maps detailing the movements of German and Allied forces.
The Mardasson Memorial in Bastogne is a deeply moving tribute to the heroes of World War II. Standing atop a hill, the monument's grandeur and symbolism are awe-inspiring. The museum exhibits offer a comprehensive and emotional journey through the Battle of the Bulge. The memorial's serene surroundings and panoramic views make it a place for reflection and remembrance. A must-visit for history enthusiasts and anyone seeking to honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom.

Two years ago they were busy with the restoration, and now it's complete (although we couldn't discover where they restored it). Overall it is worth a visit when you are visiting the museum or if you are visiting Bastogne.
It is a large monument to commemorate the Second World War.

Really wanted to visit the memorial, but it appears it has been cordoned off so you have to use the car park at the museum that you have to pay on arrival.

Amazing place. But we didn't enjoyed it much because of rekonstrukcion.
The Bastogne War Museum is a contemporary museum that offers an interactive experience focused on WWII and specifically the Battle of the Bulge. The audio guide features four different voices from civilian and military witnesses/participants, while an informative summary presents the war's context and key stages. The museum also boasts a 15-minute 3D film that provides a unique perspective on Germany's early attacks.
A historic place that if you are in or near Bastogne you will want to take the time to visit. The museum is under a renovation period so checkout the website to ensure you will be able to visit the museum. You can reflect on those who gave all and honor their memory.

After encountering so many world war 2 monuments within Luxembourg I wanted to know more about what exactly happened here during world war 2. And this museum came highly recommended, it didn't disappoint not one bit. It left me cold with goose bumps about the stories that where told through an audio headpiece. And through the myriad of infographics pictures etc.

Visiting the Bastogne War Museum was an incredibly moving and enlightening experience that left an indelible mark on my understanding of World War II. From the moment I stepped into the museum, I was immersed in a meticulously curated journey through history.
The exhibits are a testament to the museum's dedication to accuracy and detail. The multimedia presentations and interactive displays provided a deep insight into the challenges faced during the Battle of the Bulge. The use of cutting-edge technology, combined with authentic artifacts, created a powerful and evocative narrative that transported me back to that pivotal moment in time.
The layout of the museum is both engaging and thoughtfully designed, guiding visitors through the various stages of the battle. The personal stories of soldiers and civilians, shared through letters, photographs, and firsthand accounts, added a human dimension to the historical events, making them resonate on a profoundly emotional level.
The Bastogne War Museum also pays tribute to the sacrifices made by those who fought and the civilians affected by the conflict. The memorial space is a solemn and respectful area, allowing visitors to reflect on the gravity of the historical events and the enduring impact on the lives of those involved.
The museum staff demonstrated a genuine passion for their work, offering valuable insights and assistance throughout my visit. Their commitment to preserving and sharing this important history was evident in every aspect of the museum.
In conclusion, the Bastogne War Museum is not just a museum; it's a living testament to the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of those who lived through the Battle of the Bulge. It is a must-visit for anyone seeking a profound and educational experience that transcends the pages of history books.

Perhaps one of the most beautiful museums ever visited. Actually it's not only a museum, it's the history lived and described by four different people who lived those troubled times: a US soldier, a German officer, a young teacher from Bastogne and a child from Bastogne. A very, very touching experience, especially for someone who's grandfather fought in WWII. Many thanks to the organizers and management of the museum, this is truly an unique and brilliant way to show the history. You deserve 10 stars, not only 5, well done!!
Stelian Sarlea — Google review
Excellent museum, focusing on the battle of the Bulge. You get a headset at the reception that leads you through the museum and tells the story from four different perspectives. This includes eloborate moving dioramas and many artifacts and vehicles. Tour is available in English, German, French and Dutch and probably more languages. Staff is helpful, and the cafetaria and book shop are nice.

Excellent museum, one of the best I've ever been too. Everything is explained in multiple languages (English, French, German and Dutch). The exhibit covers pre-WW2, WW2, and post WW2. It's very moving at times. My whole family enjoyed it, even the teenagers! If you are in the area, you must visit!

We visited this place on Sunday. The museum is very interesting and engaging. Do not miss out three separate immersive mini-cinema like shows that reflected different periods of the war. And after the main visit, “Generations 45” was a very nice addition to connect the war to our modern day periods. Museum is able to capture both the facts and details of the war in massive scale and how this war affected the lives of simple, ordinary people.

A must-see for the American history buff. The museum is larger than it seems. You can rush through it in a couple hours, but could easily spend 3-4. There is an elevator to make things accessible.

Well done museum. Lots of photos to read about but the audio tour explains the war from the perspective of 4 people: child, school teacher, US soldier and a German soldier. Brings it to life. Also visited the Fox hole area, download the app noted on a sign in the parking lot before walking into the trees. Free WiFi in the lot. Worth being where the fighting took place.

The Bastogne War Museum is an extraordinary testament to the valor, sacrifice, and resilience of the soldiers and civilians who endured the hardships of World War II. Visiting this museum was an emotionally moving and educational experience.
The museum's design and layout are impeccable, guiding visitors through the chronology of events leading up to the historic Battle of the Bulge. The interactive exhibits, life-sized dioramas, and audio-visual presentations offered a truly immersive experience, making the past come alive. From the onset, I felt a deep sense of respect and admiration for the brave souls who faced unimaginable challenges during the war.
The vast collection of artifacts, personal belongings, and authentic military equipment further enriched the experience. Each item told a unique story, giving a glimpse into the lives of those who fought and the civilians affected by the conflict. I was particularly moved by the personal accounts and letters displayed, which revealed the human side of war.
The highlight of my visit was the recreated underground bunker, where I could almost feel the tension and fear that soldiers experienced during the battle. It was a humbling experience, reminding me of the importance of remembering history and its lessons for the future.
The museum staff deserves special praise for their knowledge and dedication. They were friendly, approachable, and eager to answer questions, making the tour even more engaging.
The Bastogne War Museum not only commemorates the sacrifices made during the war but also emphasizes the importance of peace and understanding. As I walked through the grounds, I couldn't help but reflect on the futility of war and the need for global unity.
Whether you are a history enthusiast, a student, or just curious about the past, the Bastogne War Museum is a must-visit destination. It leaves an indelible mark on your heart and mind, and you'll walk away with a renewed appreciation for the peace we enjoy today.
If you find yourself in this part of the world, don't miss the opportunity to pay homage to the heroes of the past and gain a deeper understanding of the events that shaped our world. I will forever cherish the memories and lessons I took away from this extraordinary museum.
The Bastogne Barracks war museum houses exhibitions and tours on World War II and the Battle of the Bulge. The museum is renowned for its extensive collection of restored military vehicles, including armored tanks, as well as other military items. The two knowledgeable gentlemen at the entrance provide interesting facts about the buildings, such as where General McAuliffe made his famous declaration to German soldiers. If you are a fan of military hardware, this museum should not be missed over the Bastogne Museum.
If you go to one museum in Bastogne, it should be this one. The collection of tanks, vehicles and other military items is one of the best I've ever seen. Choose this place over the Bastogne Museum.

I recently visited Bastogne Barracks and I must say, it was a disappointing experience. As a history enthusiast, I was looking forward to learning more about the significance of the Battle of the Bulge and gaining a deeper understanding of the events that unfolded in Bastogne during World War II. However, the museum failed to deliver on this front.
One of the main issues I encountered was the lack of historical context provided throughout the museum. Instead of focusing on the broader historical narrative and the impact of the Battle of the Bulge, the museum seemed to be solely dedicated to showcasing tanks from the war. While tanks are undoubtedly important artifacts of that era, they alone cannot tell the complete story.
The information provided about the tanks themselves was quite limited as well. I expected detailed descriptions and explanations of their significance in the context of the war, but what I found was merely basic technical information about each tank on display. It felt like I was walking through a showroom rather than a museum that aimed to educate visitors about the historical significance of the objects.
To make matters worse, I discovered that the large hall, which I was particularly interested in exploring, was closed during my visit. It was frustrating to pay the entrance fee of 11€ and then find out that a significant part of the museum was inaccessible. It would have been helpful if this information had been communicated upfront or if there had been a reduced admission fee to account for the closure.
Overall, my experience at Bastogne Barracks left much to be desired. The lack of historical context and focus solely on tanks limited my understanding of the Battle of the Bulge and its importance to the region. Additionally, the closure of the large hall without any prior notice was disappointing, especially considering the price of admission. I hope the museum takes these criticisms into account and makes the necessary improvements to provide a more comprehensive and informative experience for future visitors.

Literally a shed full of amazing restored WW2 tanks and vehicles... with more outside.
I understand that the display is now much smaller that it was before. Access to the wider Barracks and the original WW2 command post is no longer open to the public, which was disappointing. NUTS!

I visited this site a few years back, and forgot to review it then, but it is so cool, I make one now. In short, this place is fantastic if you love tanks, authentic WW2 buildings where famous people resided and if you love enthousiasts talk about it to you for free!
First thing to know about this site: it belongs to the Belgium Army and is run by ex-militairy personnel, who love WW2 stuff.
Second thing to know: check the Bastongne Barracks for the latest info on opening hours and procedures. Don't just drop by and hope for the best. Plan your visit!
If you do that, you can expect to be walking around there for a very long time and talking at length to the personnel running this site.
-You get to see an amazing armor collection from WW2 and some later models.
-You might get to see AND HOLD actual WW2 weapons if you want
-and as a nice bonus, you can also see a very large Desertstorm (1991 Gulfwar) collection, maintained by one of the staff members, but you will have to ask for that one
M Muscus — Google review
If I'm being honest, the price is a little bit high because you only see the vehicles in one of the barracks and on the outside. But we were lucky today because they drove an old tank from the repair area to another barrack (unfortunately we couldn't walk around in the other barrack, even though there were more vehicles to see).
I think this museum is not yet finished, I hope to see it finished one day.
A missed chance: a little shop would be nice :)
The Abbaye d'Orval is a Cistercian monastery that was established in 1132 and has an interesting history. It was destroyed by French Revolutionary soldiers in 1793, but reconstruction began in the early 20th century with funding from its famous Trappist beers.
Highly recommended as a day trip for a couple/family. Lovely peaceful place where the only noise your hear is birds singing. Traveling though time and discovering it’s history was so interesting and definitely Makes you feel like home! Loved the digital museum part as well as the brewery museum! Price of 7€ per person is totally worth it! Food in a nervy local tavern is beyond good. Amazing price/quality! Friendly staff and really good memories! 5 starts!

The Abbaye d'Orval really is the "Versailles of the monasteries", especially for photography a perfect location in almost any type of weather. The old ruins of the original church surrounded by large grounds and abbey garden are very impressive. The remains of the rich architecture can still be seen, with rows of wide columns, arches, thick walls providing many beautiful views. My preference for photographing this site is a less sunny day, with no hard shadows and some clouds in the sky it's easy to capture some very nice photos.
The site itself is nearly 1000 years old and over the centuries the original church was destroyed a few times, finally in 1793 by French revolutionary troops. The current more recent abbey and new church cannot be visited, and still a noticeable peaceful place of devotion. The abbey is still in use and well known for its history and spiritual life. It's even more famous for its local production of the best Trappist beer in Belgium named Orval and a specific abbey cheese. Both an extra reason to enjoy a visit to this abbey.

Amazing and splendid historical place, a must visit one! You feel the ancient time by watching those buildings and ruins carrying the history from 1300A.D. One can also learn the beers making process. no, you don't have to be Monk for that. There is a lot to discover in this place. Don't miss the shop where you can buy Orval Beers, Cheese and other goods.

Nice area! The places you can visit in the monastery are limited but it is nice to see. however I missed a bit the ambience and originality of the place. It seems that there is a bigger focus on the money making part of the company than the heritage & history of the abbey.
The tasting area/ restaurant of the Trappist beer ORVal 🍺 could have been a simple restaurant on a highway. That was disappointing lacking any type of character!

Nice museum and gardens. But you can't visit all the ruins and buildings. There is no place to drink their famous beer inside the abbey. Sure deserves the visit, though.

Beautiful place. Always interesting to experience a place with a lot of history, especially where they make beer and cheese. The ruins and the beer process were my favorite parts. Beautiful place. It is just a petty that not the whole place is accessible, but it is acceptable as there are still people living inside the monastery.
Nevertheless, it is nicely presented.

Probably the best Trappist abbey to visit in Belgium if you're interested in the abbey itself rather than just being interested in the beer.

Beautiful place. Upon going in, there is an exhibit and area in which you can listen to the history on headphones (multiple languages). They were completely full when we were there, so a worker told us we could come back later and continue on if we'd like. Exiting, there is a pool of water with some fish and then the grounds continue on. The herb garden is amazing, even in winter when most plants are dormant (would love to see in full bloom!). There are statues throughout the grounds, the old brewery tour, remains of the old structure into some restored areas, and inside where there is an art museum with some stunning pieces. The gift shop is lovely. You are limited to one case of beer per person so bring non-drinking friends to buy you extra!!

Very cool complex from the Maginot line, received a very good explanation about all that has happened there during the first days of the war when the Germans arrived there from Belgium.

Very interesting. The tour guide was knowledgeable and his english quite good. The site was a little creepy. The picture is of the tunnel where all the men in the garrison perished from carbon monoxide poisoning, 105 men.

An amazing part of the Maginot line where the defenders held till their last. We stumbled upon driving from bouillon to stennay and what a find it was. The cemetery which contains the defenders is across the road from the memorial adjoined to the Fort.
Andy Cambridge — Google review
What an amazing place! Highly recommend this to anyone interested in World War 2. . As one of the western-most placements of the Maginot Line in France, the story of how all the men perished here is as heartbreaking as any other war story. There is a very long, strenuous stair case to go down (and then UP), but take your time, it is all part of the story of this place. We had not booked ahead, but a young staff member gave us a two hour tour and since we were a small family group of English speakers, he used English and was superb! One of the only places where you can touch and feel remnants of the War. If travelling through this part of France, make a detour to this site, it is worth every bit of time.
Susan Carbonaro — Google review
Interesting place to see if you are passionate about the war. As you can see in the pictures, the holes from the bullets and artillery are still there and it makes you understand the horrors and atmosphere of the battle.

The story which unfolded there is very sad 😢
Nick Wolsink — Google review
A sad place as with all war cemeteries. Such a lot all died on the same day, overcome by fumes in tunnels they had spent 3 years building. Need to book the tours they do to the underground passages to enjoy the place. They only do them for pre booked groups.

This is an amazing place to visit. Anyone remotely interested in military history would really enjoy a visit here. Apart from a very well preserved Maginot line fort, there’s also a story attached. Regrettably, there was not a good outcome for the soldiers who served here. You will have to visit to find out the full story.
The cost is a very reasonable €8 per adult and the tour is guided. They do tours in English but only for groups. We went with a French – speaking guide and were given some information sheets in English to take on the tour. These were sufficient to get a good appreciation of the fort.
The engineering and ingenuity in designing and building these forts is incredible considering the most are around 100 years old.
If you visit and like this fort, be sure to visit the bigger ones a little further south. In particular, Hackenberg and Schoenenbourg.

Guide only in french, but the nice guy also explained some in person in english. Big thanks. Very tragic history.
Ruined medieval castle offering guided tours, known for its falconry displays & ghost stories.
One of the best castles of its time, still standing tall over the beautiful town of La Roche.
The view from here is simply breathtaking.
Saud Ahmed — Google review
Out of season it is definitely NOT worth visiting it, because you pay ~7EUR just to see a bunch of some ruins - which are not even that interesting to look at and hardly worth even half of the admission price.
There's not even any brochure available - only an A4 paper with a printed scheme and a dry architectural description of each piece. No history whatsoever.
Mid season there should be some shows available and a cafe, but outside the season it's much more worth it to admire the ruins from afar - there are a lot of nice spots around the city, where you can enjoy the view for free and the view is even nicer because you can see the full castle (not like when you are wandering inside the ruins).
Vaiva B. — Google review
Beautiful ruin! You also have a great view on La Roche. There is a modest, but entertaining bird of prey show as well.

It was my first time in this town. Walking through this castle instantly took me back to the Middle Ages - a fascinating imagination and a solid testimony of the civilisation that underlines it.

I found it to be very nicely preserved/maintained for people to still be able to visit the castle. It's €6,5 per adult and it'll take you between 30-45 minutes to see it all depending on your speed.
crazedentity — Google review
The place is actually beautiful and great for tourists. Also, they have birds show for children. However, after the show, I was very surprised that the cages are very small and not appropriate for the birds. It looks sad to see the animals behind the small cages waiting for their next shows all over again. Please give them a better place to stay or even free them in the wild.

Great views, but not much information on the Chateau. It's a steep walk up to the Chateau and the floor is very uneven, so not really suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
David Burns — Google review
This very old castle is build on a rock using materials from the area. The builders used a very special technique to put rocks together and form a stable structure. The place is worth a visit which lasts around 45-60 minutes. Entrance is open until 30 minutes before closing time. It's not expensive and worth the visit.
Luc Krols — Google review
It is a very steep hill to get into the castle so you should prepare for it. But once up there you get a nice view of the city. There are a lot of restaurant and wildlife sanctuary nearby - plus you can go kayaking if you are into it. Overall a fun experience!
Amanda TPN — Google review
Entrance ticket is too expensive for the views of the castle. The bird show is great but I feel so sad those beautiful birds are caged.
Fengjing Zhang — Google review
Inexpensive, with plenty to see and (when we went at least) a falconry display included. It's also illuminated with a light show at night and worthwhile finding a vantage point on the opposite side of the river (Rue du Chalet is good).
Dave Mellor — Google review
The ruin gives a beautiful view over the city. There is a lot of information about the individual parts that still remain to this date. The addition of a bar and falcon shows makes the castle more livid. However the entrance fee is a bit expensive.
I would highly recommend visiting this castle when in the city.

It's difficult to review this place. This was our second visit having stayed previously in 2016. The setting is fantastic, and i would argue worth staying just for that. The food in the restaurant is great as well. The key issue is the service, it feels like the whole place is really understaffed. At breakfast there is only one member of staff, there was only one member of staff for reception and bar. And the restaurant only had three members of staff, of which one was running around trying to do everything as he was the only one who spoke English. Overall worth a nights stay but prepared to be patient, it's not 4 star hotel service.

Very nice and comfortable cozy place to stay. People are kind. Rooms are big and have the particularity of having the original walls of the castle.

This hotel is super cool - it's inside the walls of the huge Château of Sedan. The hotel seems freshly renovated and is very clean. The view from the upper windows is also good.
On the third floor of the Hotel is a restaurant which I can recommend. The ambience is very unique and the food is good, although very funky (I still have to get used to French cuisine 😅).
The only problem I had during my stay was the heat in my room. One would believe that the rooms inside thick stone walls are chilly but that wasn't the case. My room was way too hot with no sufficient climate control.

An good overnight stay in close proximity to the beautiful town of Sedan . It was an extremely hot day when we stayed and with a very small low down window ( I appreciate it’s a medieval fortress ) but it felt extremely claustrophobic and made me feel quite uncomfortable. Perhaps this is just a personal thing ?

+ very friendly receptionist
- in the lobby left side near elevator smells bad like mold.
- in the restaurant nobody speaks English and is very hard to order..
- buy a real billiard table... that one is a joke. Or replace it with a football game.

Disappointing for such a unique setting, room was ok, although no Aircon and the doors needed a key. For a new hotel I would expect it to be a bit more modern. The restaurant food was alright but because we were a group there was a set menu which we hadn't chosen it was just what they had decided to serve. Breakfast again was average nothing special. I probably wouldn't go back.
Emma Ryan — Google review
The hotel itself was nice. However, unfortunately my son left a very expensive tracksuit in the wardrobe in his room (his fault admittedly) . We contacted the hotel the day after once we realised and was told someone would check and get back to us. Six hours later we were told nothing had been found and that they had to wait until the family that were staying in the room had vacated?? I'm not sure why they couldn't knock on the door to ask the family ?? This is very unacceptable as we are unsure if a housekeeper has taken it or the family that were in the room after my son. I have attempted twice to contact the manager to investigate this matter and I am still waiting for a response which is totally unacceptable. I await your response.
Adventure Valley Durbuy is Belgium's largest adventure park, offering a wide range of outdoor activities that are sure to get your adrenaline pumping. From kayaking and zip-lining to rock climbing and mountain biking, the park has something for every thrill-seeker. In addition to the outdoor adventures, there are also escape rooms and restaurants on-site. Whether you're into water sports, land activities, or aerial adventures, Adventure Valley Durbuy has it all.
Really great fun for the whole family.
Entry took a bit long but doable.
Mt bike course is a lot of fun and so are the other activities. All well maintained and staffed.
Though a little pricey the full package is to be recommended with the zip line and free fall as cool add ons.
Don't forget to do the caving, it's spectacular. You will get a wee bit dirty but once dried up you'll be good as new!

Nice location, very popular, big bar area on the ground floor. Many people seem to rent bikes and go biking on trails here, there's also a laser tag room and a bowling alley that also serves snacks (small chicken legs, veggie, shrimp bites) and drinks. There is a lift to the upper floors
Not sure what else is available here.
It dropped a star for me because they limited each game in a bowling lane to 25 minutes, which if you have 5 people, means that you each only have 5 minutes each total bowling time for each game. Ridiculous.

We went for the Christmas afternoon event. On several occasions tried to book tickets and was fully booked but when we eventually managed to book tickets the place was half empty. The children liked the tube slides a lot. The light path was interesting but waiting for Santa in the cold outside for long time wasn't. Still, it was probably overall nice for the children.

Kayaking was good. Straightforward to book tickets; would recommend to do so in advance. Shuttle buses were easy and straightforward forward alongside staff at the jetty. Would recommend speaking French as most of the staff encountered didn't speak English, but my French was good enough for all of this. Pleasant 8km Kayak journey; got stuck a few times as the river can be shallow in places but that was all my own fault. Good fun.

Interesting amusement park with some unusual attractions. There are three tickets: one for entrance without any attractions included, an adventure pass, and a fly pass, which includes all adventure activities as well as three additional flying activities, i.e. zip line, dead drop and the big air. It is very surprising that this latter activity is a jump onto a big air pillow, which is not insured as you need to sign a physical harm waiver.

Went bowling the day befote this review was posted. At least, we wanted to. We tried to make a reservation online and paid online aswell. The payment went through and we went that same evening to go bowling.
Then, when we arrived and told the front desk that we had a reservation, they told us there was no reservation and we couldn't bowl because there was no "person of responsibility" present to start up the bowling alley. It took alot of hassle and very limited English to eventually come to an agreement where there would be a reservation pinned for the day after with a new payment beforehand.
When we arrived this morning, we spoke to the front desk again with different people there (Note, there were 3 people at the desk both days) and went upstairs to the bowling alley.
We explained the situation to the people at the alley and they were surprised at the situation and told us that at the time we wanted to bowl the day before that there indeed were "persons of responsibility present" and that people casually bowled that evening. Quite disappointing to hear.
After bowling, we went to the customer service to get our money back, which went smooth and fast unlike anything I saw there. Then we went to get something to drink and eat at the terrace. We got no straws or drinking glasses, there were no coasters at the table and apparently no receipts were being printed so the staff didn't even bring or put the food on the counter we ordered that we ordered.
Only when we notified we didn't have our food yet -- only then -- did we get our food. Our muffin and donut didn't even get a plate, just a tissue.
Honestly, very disappointing experience for a place that looks neatly organized and designed well. Most (>90%) staff is inexperienced, uninformed and are kind of stiff when it comes to customer service.
Sadly I won't be returning here, because the place seemed nice.

We went kayaking.
Staff was friendly and talked also in Dutch.
Only negative experience of the kayak was that other people were noisy, but I can’t blame that on the staff.
Our course was 8km and we took about 2h for it.
The adventure park itself looked clean and there were many play areas.
I could see a lot of exciting rides what we will surely come back for when our child is big enough. We also went to eat at the factory inside the park, the food was tasty and prices were acceptable.
In my opinion this is a good recommendation.

Lots of fun and varied activities, indoors and outdoors. We spent almost an entire day there and there were still lots of things left we didn't have time for. There are more things for kids 10+than younger.

Visited the place with colleagues for team building. The place is close to the City of Durbuy and well planned.
There are so many activities for all age group. You can enjoy indoor and outdoor games - rock climbing, zip line, kayaking, tubing and many adventure games.
There is tree climbing zone which require you to cross many hurdle - different level for different age group. There is restaurants and drink place inside the property.

Lots of good options for an active day. Suitable for adults and children. The adventure pass is well worth the cost, it allows you to do almost anything in the park. The high ropes course wasn't very challenging for adults but still fun. The zipline course could be better. The via ferrata was very fun and varied and sometimes challenging. Instructors were nice and friendly.
Merel — Google review
Awesome adventure park!
There are enough activities for both children and adults. The main focus are tree climbing or rock climbing, if you're not into that you might not appreciate the park. Both tree and rock climbing are physically intense and you might need 2 days to enjoy both. Doing them in one day is possible but your muscles will hate you the next day...
One of the best activity is the Fast Tag, definitely give it a go as it turns puzzles and speed tagging into a competition with a ladder displayed for all. It is incredibly fun to do inside and it is included in the Adventure Pass.
There are three "premium" activities that can only be done with the Fly Pass: the Free Fall, Big Jump, and the Zipline. There are adrenaline-oriented as you'll go through in a matter of minutes. Do note there is a zipline track in the tree climbing section.
Food and beverage are ok both in pricing and quality (15€/burger with fries). Just don't expect fine dining quality, it's not the primary focus of the park.
TLDR : great outdoor activities, physically intense, best with two days. Bring good quality sport shoes and climbing gloves to protect your hands.

Jordy van den Brink — Google review
A fly pass costed 55€/day.
You'll have access to a lot of outdoors activities.
It's better to start really early because the park is big.
I'have done outdoor: climbing, mountain bike, Zipline, toboggan, trekking, tree (climbing?) I don't know how to describe it. Hahaha 😺
Indoors there are also more activities: laser tag, bowling.
There is also a kids (kindergarten) space.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
The food and drinks are overpriced as always.
But nice experience.

The most fruitful way and perhaps the best time to visit Durbuy is to linger there longer by visiting the Christmas market concurrently from November to January. During autumn in November, Durbuy is really beautiful and romantic to stroll around the place.

Génial à faire.
The Topiary Park, located near the river Ourthe and offering a stunning view of Durbuy Castle, is a picturesque botanical garden featuring over 250 different topiary sculptures. These include various shapes such as animals, people, and objects. The park also boasts colorful flowers and serene pathways for guided tours. It's a great place to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and explore the beautiful outdoor park with its unique flora designs.
Small, but nice, relaxing, parking right in front door (payed), wc, restaurant available, only symbolic entrance fee, small souvenir shop, nice walkings around green statues, you can even see a small lizards, butterflies, bugs, have nice view at city center buildings, can sit for a while and relax, beautiful, clean, fragrant

You can sit on a terrace and enjoy the coffee even in corona time👍
Must visit as part of Durbui

An interesting park with many shaped box and other plants. Some of the plants are not in great shape because of age and disease. You can buy a combined ticket to reduce prices a bit.
Filip De Beule — Google review
Some of the unusual sculptures here include a woman in a bathtub, sunbathing Pamela Anderson. Then there are the nature inspired sculptures like squirrels, chickens, peacocks and more. Being in Belgium, there's ofcourse a Manneken Pis sculpted out of bushes too!

We went here for a pleasent walk while being in Durbuy.
When buying the ticket you also get a paper with a map of a suggested route and what all the sculptures are supposed to be or represent.

Wonderful place, for a nice stroll, great service, clean toilets, nice view. A great collection of medicinal plants, beautiful tree sculptures. A place to visit when in Durbuy!

7 euro per person for a garden with a few bushes.. maybe for 3 per person it would be worth it but no way this is worth 7!?

Boring, bad maintenance very dirty facilities. You can say this place has no passion for what they try to present. For little kids might be ok but only for max 15mins

Beautiful garden with interesting sculptures out of plants of animals n humans gestures and unique flower beds. Guided tour available. Tickets can be bought at the entrance gate. 1 hiur is sufficient to spent in here. Enough parking spaces available with 7 euros for 24 hours. Payment of parking while exiting via card only.
The Domain of the Caves of Han is a stunning natural attraction that offers visitors an unforgettable experience. The tour begins with a tram ride to the entrance, followed by a guided exploration of the enormous caves adorned with impressive stalagmites and stalactites. A captivating light and sound show adds to the enchanting atmosphere within the cave. Additionally, adjacent to the caves is a wildlife park where families can enjoy observing various animals in a natural setting.
Absolutely one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. The tour was okay, honestly would have preferred to just stroll around by ourselves, because the tour went a little too fast in my opinion, and would have liked to take more time. But I have no words for what an amazing experience this was. Absolutely beautiful and definitely recommend visiting if you get the chance. The light show in the cave... Just mesmerizing!! (Pictures do not even do justice of how pretty it was)

One of the most unique caves I have visited so far. Price is quite high for the entry (€24) and that's the only minus point. They also have guides who were speaking English, which helped a lot if you don't speak French or Dutch.

BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE! Great for kids!
Nice park to visit! I recommend it! Walk all the trail. Don't get in the bus after 3 KM. The nicest part is the second half of the path. Another 3 KM to walk. 6-7 KM in total.
The CAVE is GREAT. I took the short option: about 1 hour and a half. But you can opt for the long run. I enjoyed every minute of the path I took. There are plenty of places to grab a bite. CARRY A BOTTLE OF WATER WITH YOU!

Wonderful experience. While I was a bit skeptical about the price before going, we spent a whole day in the caves and wild park and feel the need to revisit since we could not experience everything in one day. Our 3 year old daughter even skipped her afternoon nap and is still talking daily about the caves and the animals a month after visiting.
A special thanks to our guide Igor who was not only fluent in 3 languages but also very knowledgeable and friendly.

Well arranged and nicely lit walk under the hill with surprisingly spacious caves, running river and light show installations. The walk is arranged in a loop, takes a bit over an hour in 9C temperature, so dress appropriately if you want to feel confortable. Walkway is well maintained, while can be lightly wet at places.

Beautiful caves! I definitely reccomend visiting this cave. It's got enormous stalagmites and stalactites, with a great light show. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely day trip. Our preteen daughter was impressed by the animals and enjoyed the guides tour in the cave. There’s a playground and stalls where you can buy basic snacks. Also possible to bring your own picnic.
Heleen Devos de Arlegui — Google review
The cave is great, one of the biggest I’ve seen. The projection show is very basic, they should remove that completely. The “zoo” is amazing. A large number of animals are completely free to roam around and the dangerous ones have a lot of space inside. All animals look great and healthy. As in many other places in Belgium, the guides are presenting in Dutch and French. But every employee speaks great English and they are very helpful and nice. The trucks used to transport people around the animal area should be completely replaced with electrical vehicles as they are extremely loud. The same goes for the speakers inside the cars, the sound quality is very poor and seriously, the song in the beginning and the end of the trip should be removed asap :)

Wildlife Park:
We went to the wildlife park first and did the hike with our 4 and 6 year olds. We needed 5 hours instead of 3 (with lunch in between). The path is good and a lot to explore for the kids and we saw more than we thought we would. It is set up so you can get to the see the animals without getting the "cage feeling". Part of the path is broad and with gravel other parts are through the forest with roots and stones. (Strollers are NOT an option). Signs are in French, Dutch, English and German. There are some toiles along the way.
We had lunch at Tivoli (about half way). They use local produce as much as possible and offer juices instead of soft drinks. In my opinion that is a HUGE plus.
Cave:
The Cave can only be visited with a guide. It is absolutely wonderful.
The tour is held in French and Dutch. The path through the Cave is with concrete and stairs but because it is very moist and it can get flooded it can be muddy and slippery on the path.
Maybe a tour in English and/or German would still be a good addition or give English/German visitors a "print out" of the main things the guide is telling upon entering.
Museum:
Today we did not make it there.....
Day 2: we went back for the museum. It is a small museum about the history of the cave. It is interesting to see that it did take very long to discover "all" of the cave. That is nicely animated. There are also pictures of the excavation and how the visit was in the past. They did find a whole lot of "small" things - pottery, coins, needles, pins, arrow heads and such.
Conclusion:
The tickets and food is pricey but reasonable. The path (cave and park) are well maintained and made enjoyable. However you need to wear good shoes and clothing. In the Park it can get chilly because of the wind and a cave is always cool. Take water along. Plan extra time when you go with children. We entered at 10:00 and left at 17:00.
We had a wonderful day even though the weather was not the best. I can certainly recommend going!

We took the safari tour through the wildpark and it was really nice, especially the big field where all sorts of animals roam "freely". The animals look good, well taken care off and seemed to be very comfortable. During the tour we got lots of information about the animals, so very informative too!

Well done by the SA de Caves de Han, after the renovation and upgrade that has been done since 2011 this adventure park has everything a family needs to have a wonderful day long activity with the whole family. Especially during Halloween enormous efforts were made to entertain the kids and family. Highly recommended !

We had a fantastic time in the animal/nature parc of the Caves of Han. The nature and the whole experience were amazing. The only downside was the lack of clear information at the reception (and on the website!) on the option to use a baby trolley for the tour. We called in before arriving and were told on the phone it was fine for the first part of the visit. At a certain point we would have to take a little train, which was fine. When we arrived at the reception we asked for 4 tickets; with the baby and trolley clearly in sight; and weren't told anything. It's only when we arrived at the gate that we were told to carry the baby and leave the trolley aside. We got back to the reception to ask to be reimbursed and were told that this wouldn't be possible. They said they could change the date, but not give our money back. They told us we didn't specifically asked the right question and/or didn't read the website correctly. We had to come back to the park within the next 10 days or we would have lost our money. We ended up going back the day afterwards, even if we had a partial rainy day. So, the only advice I would give is to double read everything and ask twice before paying for your tickets.

Wonderful, beautiful, huge!!! place where you definitely need a few days to see everything, we parked near the church, it's 10 minutes walk from there, we bought tickets online, we started a circular walk through the forest, spent for more than 3 hours on the path and we were in a hurry to catch the time for cave visit, along the way there are the buffets with refreshments, toilets are in the forest or several are on the route too near the buffets, the site-map is very well made, we saw many animals, the most beautiful were giant bears and white wolves, I highly recommend it for the whole family, we were so busy as we were not able to vist the museum... it is impossible to see everything in one day...

It was amazing! What a wonderful experience! We spent a week in the Ardennes and it was wonderful. Really super interesting and very beautiful, real mother nature. The staff is very friendly and they do their best. We had a young lady as a guide for our tour. She did her best to speak Dutch, but in my opinion she did very well. She gave a great explanation about the caves and fun facts. This is absolutely recommended. We also did a safari tour and that was also great fun. You also get your own time during the tour. This way you can quietly enjoy the cave or safari. You could also opt for an 8km walking path, I think, but we didn't do that because of the heat. A very beautiful place. This is certainly worth a second visit. However, I do recommend arriving early because it does take a lot of time. For example, to visit the cave plus the safari tour. You can order tickets in advance, but that is absolutely not necessary. We bought our tickets on the spot and were able to go straight in, there was no queue at all.
We really enjoyed ourselves, a wonderful experience. And also the museum was very interesting and a must to do!

Best huge cave I have seen so far
Stronghold founded in the 15th century, with domed towers & a moat, plus tours & costumes for kids.
Pleasant surprise: great interior, and wonderful grounds, you can even take a small "train" for 2 EUR per ride to visit the park.
The garden is similar to French Versailles style gardens, and it is wonderful to imagine themed parties that can take place here, venetian, Louis XIV style 🙂

A very nice castle the likes of the Loire and Dordogne castles, only smaller and less original on the inside. But still worth a visit. It clearly has gotten a lot of care by the people who manage it.

We were originally planning to go to the Caves of Han (Grottes de Jan); but changed our mind last minute due to bad weather. The Tourism office advised us the Lavaux- Saint Anne as there was a Halloween exhibition ongoing during the weekend. We were positively surprised and enchanted with the whole decoration and actors. I highly recommend you all to go and visit this place in the next few days or next year during Halloween. The costumes and makeup are pretty impressive and may impress the younger ones. Entrance is at €5,- for kids and €10,- for adults. Inside the castle there's also a market and some foodtrucks.

Step into a world of spine-tingling enchantment at the annual Halloween celebration hosted by this bewitching castle! With its haunted castle, eerie costumes, and a culinary cauldron of delights, this event promises to be a nightmarish adventure like no other.
During the chilling journey, you'll encounter lost souls in torment and malevolent beings that will send shivers down your spine. But here's the real question: do you dare to enter the Dungeon? This eerie, otherworldly experience beckons the bravest souls, yet one must think twice before venturing within. For if you wander too far into the labyrinthine depths, the creatures that dwell within will keep you captive for centuries, perhaps even for eternity. You might become one of them, forever imprisoned within these ancient walls. Consider yourself warned.
Now, for the young ones, the question of starting age is a matter of your adorable little monster's sensitivity. Their creatures are experts at adapting their scares to the age of little wizards and other pint-sized demons, ensuring a thrilling yet age-appropriate experience.
The great news is that you can go in disguise! Dress up to your heart's content and relish the opportunity to capture memories in this enchanting, haunted setting.
Worried about punctuality? Don't be! While they recommend arriving during business hours, there's no need to strictly adhere to your pre-sale ticket time. Flexibility is the name of the game, and they welcome all brave souls whenever you choose to join.
Please note that the castle's interior isn't stroller-friendly due to narrow stairs, so consider using a baby carrier if you're bringing your little ones along. They do, however, offer accessibility to individuals with reduced mobility (PMR) in the French gardens, cellars of the castle, craft market, and bar. Unfortunately, the many stairs inside the castle make wheelchair access challenging.
For the convenience of their guests, there's a spacious and complimentary car park, ensuring a hassle-free visit. And when it comes to refreshments, their snacks and bar boast tantalizingly democratic prices, ensuring that no one leaves hungry or thirsty.
So, if you're ready to embark on a hair-raising adventure and explore the depths of this spine-chilling castle, go to this Halloween celebration. But remember, once you cross the threshold, you may never want to leave—consider yourself warned, and prepare for a night of eerie enchantment!

A true gem of Belgian historical heritage. The visit takes about 1h 30 min. There is a picnic place within the castle perimeter, but no restaurant. There is a private one 100m from the entrance. The parking lot is quite big, with extra parking places on one side of the stone fence.

Venise festival was amazing with colorful costumes and friendly people!
Family-friendly park with a playground, kids' rides & a minigolf course, plus sea lion & seal shows.
Despite being a little bit on the older side of amusement parks the quality was really enjoyable. The animals looked taken care of and the premises were nice and tidy and everything seemed safe. Every attraction has a person overseeing this activity, so nothing can go wrong. My kids loved it and so did we :) it's crazy this is a 3 minute drive from Huy's city center!

Amusement park for children 8 years and younger. Have to pay entry fees which doesn't include anything. Additional ticket for the rides excludes pony ride and golf. Overall good experience with younger kids

Nice park for children.. Has some animals.. The seals show was very nice.. The park was clean and not crowded as well..
The only downside was that there was only one worker who's operating all of the games in the park 🙃🙃.. So we kept searching for her with every game my son wanted to play.
Nourhan El-Boudy — Google review
Cannot understand very well the Entry ticket price as apart from Animal Show nothing much included in that Entry Ticket.
For enjoying that park you need to buy another ticket for the Kids, So its for Parents 10€ and for the kids 10€ for Entry and 10€ for the rides so in total we paid 20€ per kid and this also not including attractions like Pony Rides, Mini Golf or Kids Cinema.
After paying the price which is bit on higher side, you kids will love it whole day and on Sunny day long queues at gate, Snacks or Restaurant.
Also don't forget all kids to have ticket and stamped on the hand as this is compulsory on many rides.

No expectation before coming to Mont Mosan but it really surprised me in a positive way at the end. The park is certainly not new but my 7-year old daughter loves their rides. There are some newer playgrounds here and there that kids will not be bored. Even though it rained on the day we visited Mont Mosan, my daughter loves the park. I think it offers more than its price. It is a very nice amusement park for kids 3-10. Older kids may not find it amusing.
Timothy Yeung — Google review
As others have noted the attractions are a bit dated, and some are better maintained than others, but it's a whole's day worth of fun for kids aged 4 to 10. We visited from Brussels on a public holiday and parking was tricky but we managed (for free). If you have serious concerns about animal abuse for entertainment purposes you might want to stay away. We got a Groupon deal for entrance but we still had to pay an extra 12€ per kid for free access to all attractions.
AsGood AsItGets — Google review
Great park for small and bigger kids! The park is quite pricy though. You pay 10 euros a parent and if your kid wants to enjoy a few rides, you better buy a pass which is, again, 10 euros.
My son loooved the dinosaurs at the entrance and enjoyed the park. Not all animals look good but overall OK.
Maison Leffe is a captivating beer museum located in the heart of Dinant, Belgium. Housed within the former Bethleem convent, which has been transformed into the upscale La Merveilleuse Hotel, this museum offers an immersive experience that delves into the rich brewing tradition of Leffe dating back to 1240. Visitors can explore the history of this renowned beer brand through interactive displays and touch-screen exhibits.
A nice little museum to display the history of abbey beer. It's too small and exhibits are less so set your expectations accordingly. A glass of beer tasting is included along with a free hamper of a bulb glass and beer cans. Would be nice if rather than a serving full glass they have a beer tasting menu and explain the profile of the beer.
Sandeep Shambharkar — Google review
Good value for money €10, gives access to the museum and a gift of a Leffe glass and 2 beers one non alcoholic and a tasting in the bar but limited selection and a bit strange that no electronic payment possible For the ticket but okay for merchandise so paying in cash or buying online. One machine did not display a text in English but Dutch but well done in the end.
Richard Parslow — Google review
Let's talk about beer/brewery experience. There is a self tour, so be patience, because no earphones have been provided, just speakers and a handset, yes, a handset like the old phones... Also there is no explanation about how supposed you start the selfie guided tour.
However, the price is fair for the experience and gift, it is mean, a beautiful glass and a free draft beer.
To go to the brewery is a medium ramp walk, about 8min. The terrace view is gorgeous and there sits available.
Fausto Cunha — Google review
a nice idea to spend a rainy afternoon in Dinant visiting the beer museum. You buy a ticket at the entrance for €15, which includes the tour to the museum, a glass of beer to drink there and a souvenir beer glass. They provide you with a qr code that you scan to the relevant museum items, and there are videos that demonstrate how the beer factory was founded, etc. If you asked me, I went for the glass
Stavrie OnTour — Google review
This place was an unexpectedly pleasant experience for our walk in Dinant. For 10 Eur, a person sees beer museum, gets a beer of his choice, and then a present to take home.
The museum is interactive, there are stages where videos with different topics are played. I liked that there are smell samples for different flavor components of beer. Like that I had a chance to smell wood, berries, and other things that can be found in flavor profile of Maison Leffe beers.
At the end of museum route stand two interactive panels with Maison Leffe beer quiz. You can play the quiz with someone and compare the scores.
After the tour you get to a beer truck outside where you present a coupon for a beer of your choice. I liked how chill that pub place outside was. There were multiple types of sitting - both covered and not covered.
As both me and my boyfriend were drivers, we wanted to drink one beer at the spot, and take second one with us. This was not possible. Not sure what is the reason, but we accepted that the beer cannot be taken away and we had the second beer in non-alcoholic version.
The present to take home is a beer glass with 2 small beers in cans - one non-alcoholic beer, one alcoholic one.
As a summary, this is an excellent price-value rate, I had fun and the present is a nice nice reminder and at the same time a nice touch at the end the tour. I strongly recommend the place to visit.

Beautiful place, the museum is interactive and interesting but very small. You pay 12€ per ticket but you receive one free Leffe beer (at your choice) and also one free Leffe glass.
The only downgrade was that I expected we could visit more rooms of the building…

What a lovely experience for only €10!! We walked up the hill and found the museum. Our ticket included the museum, a drink of your choice and a free gift of 2 cans (alcoholic blonde and nonalcoholic) and a glass!! The museum portion gave you the history of Leffe, where you scan your ticket QR code at each station and it gives you the information, you are able to smell certain herbs and things and what not. It was an amazing experience, especially for the price! There were some outdoor areas as well as a large indoor sitting area to enjoy your drinks. You can buy more drinks at the front where you buy your tickets for a great price as well.
Courtney S — Google review
Bought tickets in advance, but there was no line or crowd there (Friday evening). The museum itself was fun, but definitely sounds like more than it is. It's a couple of video guides activated by thr QR code on the ticket. Some of the guides didn't even work (I think almost half of them).
It's not bad value for money, since the glass and beer cost almost as much as the ticket by themselves.
The beer tasting was a bit disappointing, it was just a 0.33L choice of Leffe beer. I expected an actual "tasting", that is, smaller quantities of different beers with an explanation of their differences. Maybe a comparison between the tap and the bottle beer. The bartender also didn't seem to know much about the beers, or to care much more for that matter.
Overall, it was okay.

Fabulous. €12 entry, which includes a museum entry, pint and gift Leffe glass. The museum is interesting, but a bit light on. It ends at the beer garden, which has a fab view over Dinant.

Love this hotel. The place is an old abbey and you really can feel the age. Rooms are a tad aged too due to this fact but the beds are without fault.
Sadly the bar and restaurant are closed and staff refer to the options in town which are plenty. But there is a "Leffe bar truck" on the terrace ans that at least makes the bar possible and the leffe beers available.
Theres a museum of the monastery in the house. I wouldn't go there every time but it's wort spending an hour looking and listening to the info. A beautiful room for the museum

This museum is great value for money and is worth doing if you’re in Dinant. For €12 you get access to the museum that tells you all about Leffe (which can take up to 90minutes if you watch/listen to everything), a pint of Leffe of your choice, and a Leffe glass to take home.
The only downside was that some of the features on the interactive displays were malfunctioning.

Interesting museum detailing the rich history of the Leffe Monastery. Unfortunately if it is busier, or there are kids running around it is difficult to to hear the interactive displays. The ‘Enjoy’ ticket is a great value for money. Sadly they didn’t have the cheese when I went but the Ruby Draught made up for it!

We have visited twice with our friends. Free drink and a gift are included in the ticket price (12 euro). When you visit the museum you can drink a good beer in a nice place, also with a nice view in summertime.

Informative museum. Some nice touches with aromas. Hard to stay engaged with all the videos. Hard to stand upright and still for so long. We bought a ticket which was for the museum , tasting and gift and added the extra beer or cheese to it. However on getting there the tasting turned out to be an entire glass of beer. Unless you have plenty of time to sit and go through two beers, the extra isn’t really necessary. However having made this mistake and having to catch a train, we had a second beer between the two of us and the cheese option which turned out to be a delight! Our second experience of cheese and celery salt.

Pretty interesting. Considering the entry price includes a beer and a free glass, it’s not bad value for money.
It never really makes it clear that the monastery you are in isn’t the Leffe abbey.
Dinant Citadel is a medieval stronghold and museum that can be accessed via 408 steps or a cable car. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. Admission fee of 11 is required, regardless of where one parks. A ticket counter can be found at both the top and bottom entrances, with limited access. Visitors may choose between taking the stairs or cable car, but must still wait in line and pay the fee.
Its beautiful. All the history of Dinant is collected in the citadel. The museums are interesting and takes quite some time to go through. One will get the entire view of the city from top of this place.
There is an option to climb 400 stairs or take a cable car which takes just 1 min to go up.
Vishesh Saxena — Google review
The citadel is very strong strategic rocky construction on the top of the mountain with strong historic heritage, inside citadel you can visit 14 meaningful historic spots and the museum is very impressive they used visual and acoustic sound to make the impression of that days tragedies that had taken place. The citadel tour has also an option with combo to go for boat trip which was a nice choice. You can combine and enjoy the boat with nice atmosphere
Ruzanna Konjoryan — Google review
There was a line (buying tickets was the biggest bottle neck, but with tickets you would be in the same line), but everything was moving at a steady pace.
Some people ignored the line, under the assumption that the tickets are only for the cable car 🚡, bit this is not the case.
We walked upstairs, good exercise for the kids and ourselves. But we took the cable car down 😉
The view over the town is super nice, and there are enough tools of war (of various times) on display. Kids liked the old "pirate" 🦜 cannons and cannonballs the most.
The war simulation in the trenches of the indoor museum was a little too realistic for the kids. Better to skip this part with little kids.
The restaurant is nothing to write home about, but fine for a drink and a simple snack. A group of old people were sitting at a table singing old French songs.
Overall a nice visit if you are in the area 👍 Dinant is overall a cool (oldskool) tourist stop.

It is a beautiful ancient castle. If you come to Belgium, I recommend coming here. There aren't many tourists. It is a place to travel that is unique and unlike anyone else. Visitors to the castle have both the up and down ropeway fees included. And there is an additional option of taking a boat tour to see the castle.

It's an epic citadel that reminds you of a Lord of the Rings scene. It also has the best view of the city below. The fortification towers over the city and overlooks the river. The museum inside contains a nice tour showcasing how life was for a soldier. Impressively, it also contains a sub-officer school.
Do not miss out on the recreated WW1 trench and shelter. Kids will fall in love with this room.
I advise going in time as the museum closes early.

You need to pay €11 when you enter this place. It does not matter where you park, up or down. They have a counter at the top and bottom, with small entrance. You can either walk the stairs or take the cable, your choice but you still need line up and pay the fee. Parking is free up at the fortress. So it is best to park there, pay, pick your choice to go down. When you are done, line up to make your way back. Don’t bother to go in front of the line to see if you can bypass everyone just because you bought ticket from the top. You still have to line up. Enjoy!!

Dinant is a very small but interesting city. This is where Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone, was born, so that's why you will see saxophones around all the city! The main place to visit is the Citadel just above the city. You can either buy a ride with the funicular or climb with the 400+ steps to access it. (You have to buy the ticket to enter). It is a nice place to spend a day, visit the Citadel, the cathedral, and take a beer near the river. You will not regret it!

“Dinant Citadel”, this name never comes up when people speak about tourist attractions in Belgium but my thought is it should be considered one of the important ones in Belgium. Such a scenic view of river Meuse and Dinant city. The technology involved in making this place alive is great, they take you centuries behind and makes you have a feel of what happened at that place. The cable car connecting the heart of the city and the Citadel is a great experience, a must have.
All this for 12€ is the best part. Worth every penny you spend at this place!

This is my 3rd times to visit Dinant. Such a beautiful town!
Because it was a rainy week-day. There were hardly any tourist. No queue with the cable car. We could spend as long as we want to vitist the Citadel. Highly recommended !

Amazing place with a beautiful church next to the mountain, river, hill top view and shops..you can use the approximately 400 steps or a cable car (of course) for the travel which is included in the ticket price.. Nice place for a good day / half day trip...

This is a great monument which explains the history of Dinant you could walk up the stairs or take the team or cable car. The view from the top of the fort is amazing and great for panoramic photography. The museum also has great interactive exposition. There is also a playground for kids. And a cafe for drinks and snacks

A beautiful historical building where they tell you the history of the battle in August 1914. Also the history of the town of Dinant. There were multiple rooms with information and displays and a coffee shop with waffles. The views from the top were breathtaking as it showed the whole city of Dinant and the river. I would highly recommend the visit and to take the cable car as it is worth the experience.

I took the stairs on the way in, but it's not advised unless you do steady climbs regularly. Once on top, it's a fascinating place to visit. This is especially true if you're interested in history and take time to absorb all the information about the city and its citadel. If not, the views themselves would still be worth the visit.

We bought the €20 combo ticket which gave access to the citadel, cable car, and 45 minute ferry ride. The combo ticket is really worth it, especially on a sunny day which unfortunately we didn’t have but it was still good fun. The citadel itself was well maintained and great to explore. A highlight was the trenches room and the collapsed shelter room which isn’t for the faint hearted.

One of the best places of Dinat. Very interesting and also very organized and well explained. So much history in one big citadel.
Unfortunately, some of the video rooms were closed.. so we missed the interactive part of it.

Our whole family enjoyed half day at the castle(I called it) and enjoy the cable car. Pity weather wasn't great so couldn't get on to the boat.

Beautiful view and quiet place to explore. It wasn't crowded at all with tourists, so taking photos is easy. You can buy cable cars and cruise together or separate. There are plenty of options to eat and sit next to harbor. Boating is also a good option.

It's a really beautiful place to see, the view from the top is amazing, you can walk there or get a cable car, what is strange you pay for entry and inside you have to pay to go to the toilet, should be free to be honest, anyway it's really good place to visit, lot's of history.

I went on Monday morning and many shops were closed. I wonder if it was also the case for the cable car. The climb to the top was rather steep, but it was quite enjoyable in the cold winter day. Great view of Dinant at the top!
The citadel is mostly empty, other than the parts that have permanent exhibition about the history that the place has witnessed, especially during the war. I was surprised with some of the out-of-context tourist attraction within the place. It is worth a try.

A fantastic place, with an incredible view of the village of Dinant. Entrance is 12 euros per person, you can climb a 408-step staircase or take the cable car. A well-preserved historic place.
Pont Charles de Gaulle, also known as the Charles de Gaulle Bridge, holds a significant place in history due to its connection to the Battle of Dinant during World War I. The bridge is a popular tourist attraction located near the Citadel of Dinant and offers stunning views of the Meuse River. It is adorned with multiple saxophones representing different countries, serving as a tribute to the European Union.
We took the opportunity to stop by this charming town on the way from Metz to Calais and so pleased we did. Colourful restaurants and businesses populate the river front, which if photographed from the opposite side of the river looks like a model village. The Beautiful church towers over them and looks almost Eastern European. There is a huge fortress towering over the town which is accessible it seems by cable car. The town authorities have done a great job beautifying this town and its bridge to attract visitors and we hope to revisit to explore more. Paid parking seems to be plentiful. Public Toilets not so! However if you visit the Tourist Centre, toilets are available there.

Great Bridge that is tied to the history of Dinant.
Lots of saxophones represent the different regions of the world. It could be busy during the weeks or public holidays. But good for a weekend visit

When in Dinant, you basically can't miss this bridge. And it doesn't matter if you go by car, or by foot. To answer your question, statues of saxophone are everywhere because the saxophone was created in Dinant in 1814. Here you go.

Nice bridge with a view of Dinant citadel and Notre Dame church. The bridge is decorated with different patterned saxophones because this city is the birth place of Adolphe Sax. This is a very important historic bridge which was existent since the roman times and you can find the history in the museum of the citadel.

A great tourist attraction on top of the Meuse river close to Citadel of Dinant connected via a cable car. The bridge has multiple saxophone representing countries. History says the saxophones were set out along the bridge the placement in a tribute to the countries of the European Union in 2010. It was in that year when it was celebrated here the Europe Sax and when it was decided that each saxophone would represent to a European country.

This is a bridge on the river Meuse. When in Dinant, you will see this bridge while exploring the city and the surroundings. Would suggest to park the car and take a walk on the bridge and the surroundings. A sunny day gives all the more charm to this city. A few more places to explore around this bridge. Walking around would be a good choice. One of the good places to spend a relaxed time with family & friends. Recommend it.
The Citadel of Namur, a fortress that dates back to the 10th century, dominates the town with its grey walls and tunnels. Though rebuilt over time, it remains an impressive sight on a hilltop, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. The Chateau des Comtes section and cafe Le Panorama provide particularly stunning vistas. Visitors can stroll along rampart footpaths for access to open areas at any time.
A must see place in Namur, visit of underground tunnels absolutely recommended. Parking possibility in front of Tera Nova Centre. Hospitable staff at ticket office. 👍👍👍

You can either walk, drive or take the cable car like us, up to the citadel. Probably worth it if you want to see Namur during the ride.
Once up at the citadel, it opens up to a plateau where it houses an exhibition hall (quite unique architecture), an open space car park, a cafe and a chateau.
We made our way to the cafe where the spectacular view of Namur and the Meuse awaited us. We chilled a bit while savouring the sights.
Walked up to the chateau, now converted into a cafe and restaurant. There’s a rose and herb garden.
If you want to explore further, take a walk down from the cafe to the citadel grounds.
All in, worth the €6.50/adult ticket for return trip in the cable car.

Just a stunning example of medieval architecture and the views are spectacular. Quick drive from Brussels. What a amazing place. The people in this simple town are so very friendly, but if you do not speak French, a translator app or phrase book will be a great help. very nice and relatively quiet place, we parked on the hill at the large parking lot in front of the theater auditorium, we walked towards the main building, the man at the reception knew English, he explained to us every possibility we can do on the place, there is a museum of history of the fortress inside but we did not go there (because of kids), the tunnels are only guided so it is not possible to go there alone, the train was stand-by by one hour so we chose the possibility of a free walking around the area, pros: free toilet, small caffee inside, free movement, not so many people, very kind receptionist, cons: the cable car runs only until 17:00

Gigantic citadelle, the biggest in Europe I think. Lies in the center of Namur and stretches up the whole hill. Parking is available at the Confluence underground garage (tickets are cheaper when using their app) between both rivers at the foot of the citadelle.
You can drive up by car or bus, take the cable car to the top for € 5 - 7 or trek up on foot (lots of stairs on the foot paths: not suitable for mobility impaired people). If you walk, take a lot of fluid with you! Roadcyclists also use the steep ascent for training. There's also a TukTuk, which you have to book in a Vance according to the ads !
There are sculptures scattered along the way (see photo of the golden tortoise and it's rider) and the vistas of Namur's old town and rivers Sambre and Maas are spectacular!
There are some restaurants at the top. Beyond it even higher up lies luxury hotel + restaurant Chateau Namur. And the marriage license should also be up there.

A journey through time and history awaited me at the Citadel of Namur. Nestled at the meeting point of the Sambre and Meuse rivers, this majestic fortress is a testament to the strategic importance of Namur and the evolution of military architecture over the centuries. The Citadel has witnessed countless stories and transformations with its origins back to the Roman era.
The view from the top, at a staggering 190 m, is unparalleled - overlooking the flowing Meuse and the iconic Parliament of Wallonia. But it's not just the views that captivate; the history is rich and deep. It began in 937.
Walking through the Citadel, you are reminded of its ever-evolving role – from a strategic military post to its repurposing in the 1930s as a protected command post space. Today, it is a reminder of the past and a symbol of Wallonia's heritage – rightfully classified as a Wallonia Major Heritage site.
For anyone looking for a panoramic view of Namur, the Citadel is a must-visit. Experience a blend of nature's beauty and human ingenuity in one place.

Musée provincial Félicien Rops is a Belgian art museum that showcases the works of the fin-de-siècle artist. The collection includes paintings, letters, and sketches portraying not only the "ladies of ill repute" but also ordinary people. Audio guides and tours are available to enhance visitors' experiences. While renovations take place at the museum in Elsene, part of the impressionist collection is on display alongside Rops's works.
Fabulous artist, insane to think he dared to paint and draw what he did in the 19th century. The museum itself is really nice, clean, well-lit, and the staff at reception is calm and friendly. Great souvenirs and high-quality prints in the museum shops.

Felicien Rops is a well known artist for picturing the ladies of the 'houses of ill repute' and a criticaster during his years as a student. But his pendrawings of ordinary people and paintings really shows his talent as well. Due to renovations of the museum of Elsene, part of the impressionist collection can be viewed as well...and even if the permanent collection is nice, this temporary exhibition makes it top.

A pearl in Namur, even in Belgium and the world! Never miss it! You will see the artworks by the talented artist Rops, who is Namur born. His home is not far away from the museum. The lady at the reception is a fair and tender lady. We had a happy chat about Rops. ‘French English’ is always melodious.

Open on Sunday for those who want to visit a brewery when all others are closed! I have been there twice already. They have good beer and also wide selection of strong drinks like whiskey, rum and gin. The tour on Sunday is at 15.00, I have taken the tour a few years ago and unfortunately it was only in Dutch, but the tour guide was really amiable and translated in English some parts. Maybe they have English tours now, but we did not ask. As we could not stay for so long we just enjoyed their nice chalet style restaurant. We took tapas to share and a crazy choco drink for dessert. Obviously we tried the beer. Tripel Kannunik is really GOOD.

Brouwerij Wilderen is brewing beer, whiskey and gin. The blond beers, Wilderen Goud and Kannunik are very tasty. There is also a smalls shop where you can buy all different alcohol at democratic prices.

The Herge Museum, housed in a contemporary building, showcases the works of Georges Remi, the creator of Tintin. The museum offers an extensive and engaging display that celebrates the life and talents of the multitalented cartoonist. The exhibition features numerous models, photographs and source materials used by Herge to ensure accuracy in his sketches. Visitors can avail themselves of an entertaining audioguide during their visit.
Every Tintin fan must visit this museum. The museum was beautiful and very modern. Fairly priced at 12 euro per adult. I was surprised to find so many original drawings of Herge in the exhibition. It was very interesting to learn the background of Herge and see the development of the characters and the tools used! There was not a lot of people here when we the museum opened. It was easy to find, but a bit far out of Brussels, which was where we stayed. But I think the museum was worth the train ride and the fare.

A wonderful purpose built museum for the work of Herge who spent his life elevating the work of ‘comic’ books quite an achievement. The structure is staggering and the work is so well displayed. Well worth a trip out to see it. The cinema section shows the movies that inspired his drawings from King Kong to the Marc’s brothers. Give yourself time to get around everything.

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the visit. The overall experience was very very ordinary and uninteractive, actually it didn't meet my expectations. The visit is included in the musuempass so that is the only good part of it. The footfall was also very less on the day when I went there.

Very great museum. Every Tintin fan will love it, and every non-fan too. The museum is relatively large and has three floors which are accessible via an elevator and stairs. The contents are fantastic. It introduces Hergé himself, his works and of course there is a lot specifically about Tintin, one of his most famous comic series. The museum is really interestingly designed and there is a lot of media and film material. In addition, you can delve deeper and more intensively into the story with an audio guide. All important languages are supported in the app. The Tintin works were very diverse. Many drawings, original works and notes and templates for ideas are on display here. Also models from the comics. The restaurant is very good and lovingly designed. The Hergé shop is diverse and there is something for everyone. Highly recommended. We were there as a family.

The museum contains the life of Hergé which of course includes Tintin. The museum is well laid out, has hundreds of original examples of Hergé's work in different formats and many models and displays of Tintin.
There is a free downloadable audio guide which walks you through the 8 rooms available. It provides videos and images as well as voice and is a must when visiting.
The museum also contains lockers so you don't need to carry your bags, clean toilets, a restaurant and a shop with a whole host of different items.

Magnificent museum that recreates the story of the creator of the "Adventures of Tintin". Apart from the illustrative value of the exposed material, we must highlight the building that contains it, a showy architectural work that draws attention for its asymmetrical volumetry, with a certain disorder in the bodies that make up the building, which allows a walk through walkways that connect the different rooms.

This is my 2nd visit to Brussels and I had made the trip specifically to visit the Herge museum. We stayed near Brussels-Midi and it took us around an hour by train to go there. Since it was a Sunday, we bought the family ticket for my sister and myself - it cost us 12 euros for a round trip. The stop is Louvain-La-Neuve-Univ. You get out of the two track railway station and walk right up, go straight through a square, and you can actually see the museum in the distance.
Right at the entrance you can see Tintin and Captain Haddock on the glass door, and you go from zero to a happy place immediately. The staff is very helpful. The entrance fee of 12 euros included a free audio guide. Photography is not allowed. But there is an interactive photo room/machine where you can click these awesome pictures with Tintin and the rest of his crew. :)
Make it a point to go through all the rooms - they are arranged chronologically starting with Herge's birth and family - the way his art matured, and the final few rooms dedicated to Tintin exclusively. There is one particular chandelier-like structure made with all the 220 (??) characters that appeared in Tintin. And then there is this round room which is filled with all the Tintin titles from top to bottom - you have to experience it to believe it!!
The museum is wheelchair accessible and the day I visited, I actually saw a mother daughter duo of 76-94 enjoying the tour just as much as the rest of us did. Age is absolutely no bar.

Some coasters are a bit old and should be replaced, however the newer attractions are so nicely done that I can look over the other ones.

Very fun, recommend buying tickets in advance, makes it easier. The rides are very nice. You can buy food and souvenirs there. There are also little games like a claw machine or trying to throw a ball in a bucket and more games similar to this. You must visit this attraction park at least once in your life. But make sure you download the app walibi Belgium, because it really helps out if you need a quick check which tides have the smallest wait time. The wait time can be big, it can vary around 0-50min, I suggest going to the shorter times first if you want to go on more rides. But I think the day matters, if there's a special occasion like Halloween, there will definitely be a lot of people. Although it's very nice on Halloween, spooky. So in summary, it's very nice, I recommend going.

Went for the halloween event this weekend, it surely was amazing! Very nice to have been back to Walibi. I Would recommended a fast pass tho', otherwise waiting lines for attractions are over an hour.

We love this place when there are no public Holidays, otherwise it is not fun to visit because of the crowd and long cues.
What we love is that there is now a special place for kids starting 1 meter to be able to have some atractions (I think a total of 5 atractions, like the mini version of the Dalton) in a protected/ closed area.
The kids just love it, there is also an open outdoor playground on the other side of the park, that is huge for them to have fun.
For us it was more advantageous to buy a subscription, because we planned to go more than one time. You can than also buy a subscription that is much more intresting for the parking.
Perfect during summer holidays or no rainy days.
My kids love it (that started when 3 and 4, and now 4 and 5, stil loving it)

Very good parc, we enjoyed our Journey there, there is so much choice for the games, it was crowded in the middle of the journey and some times we spend too much time waiting our turn, that's why at last we prefered to choose the games according to the least waiting time and that's the reason why we enjoyed it, we didn't waste too much time...

A very nice park with a good variety of rides for all ages. We love the water park and the food options. Our only complaint is how early dining closes and the seemingly random hours. Season pass is worth the money.

Had a blast at this park. You don’t need more than a day though. The coasters are fun and it has a great atmosphere.
We were treated very badly by 1 employee though. Spent over half an hour at guest service but they spoke no english or dutch (only french) which made it very annoying to file a complaint.
But besides that, we had a good day. Werewolf and kondaa were my favourite coasters. All the others are fun to do as well. Would definitely recommend a visit!

It was my first time riding a roller coaster and it was simply PHENOMENAL. The variety and safety of each roller coaster is unbelievable for a newbie. It was a thrill!

It was Halloween, rainy and cold and a bit crowded when I was over there. The rides were fun and enjoyable, the attractions were also really interesting. The freaks show was really entertaining and fun. It was a nice experience for me!

Adequate security measures. Attractions were in optimal conditions. There is sufficient public space for rest and freshen up. Clean restrooms easy to find. Attractions for small children (0.90 meters) are week spread all over the park.
While there is an interesting online app, I was under the impression that it is not so precise. Hence, one suggestion would be to check the map. It is not necessarily user friendly.

My children and I love Walibi. We don't live too far away so visit regularly, occasionally it can be a little bit too busy, but generally we find the queue times reasonable. The park over the years is always being constantly improved. Always very clean and plenty of toilets.
Some brilliant rides, my kids love the kondaa and my favourite is the pulsar.
My children will have some great childhood memories from Walibi!

I came for Kondaa from germany. 40 - 60 mins waiting times and only one train in operation!
This ride can double the capacity but their answer to the question why they didnt do it: not enough people.
So how much waiting time does this park want? 1:30??
The stuff operated great! Fast, super friendly but i dont get why this park wants people to spend their whole visit in the rain at 6 degrees standing in the line.
Its one of the best parks in europe and one of the greatest roller coasters too. But the decision how stuff is run ruins the whole experience.

The best amusement park in Belgium and one of the best in Europe. Not the first time there for me and my family, but we have seen this time the Halloween arrangements and they are really impressive.
Cezar Neculae — Google review
This was a great park! It is good for the whole family, but the roller coasters are better for older kids. Vampire, Weerwolf, and Cobra are pretty painful, so avoid these if you don’t want a headache. Kondaa is a MUST do. We unfortunately had to buy speedy passes for 50€ each because we wanted to make sure we rode everything. The speedy passes really slow down the normal lines which is annoying if you don’t buy them. Overall, this park is great for all ages, but if you have small kids, there are better parks that have more kid rides and kid coasters.

Lovely place. We enjoyed a lot. Some improvements may be implemented: it closes early, no coffee choices and only coffee served inside the buffets is not a good one either. Too much smoking around. And the waiting times were too long. Looking forward to visit again.
Ismail Altas — Google review
It is an adult park more than Kids.
One of the best amusement park in Eu.
The queue was long on sunday.
Syrine Maatar — Google review
The attractions were truly remarkable ! However, we encountered an issue with a staff member at the boat attraction. Thankfully, a manager promptly intervened, resolved the problem, and even generously provided our entire family with speed line tickets (which we greatly appreciated). Nonetheless, certain parts of the park appear to require maintenance.
Another thing ,make sure that the QR code (photos) are working, we didn't get ours, they have an issue in there website ( it's been 3 days nothing yet.
P.S : Attraction lines can become quite length.
Waterloo Battlefield in Belgium is a must-visit for military enthusiasts and tourists alike. The underground museum and visitor center offer immersive multimedia exhibits on the 1815 Battle of Waterloo, one of the bloodiest battles in history. While there are few remains of the battlefield today, it serves as a place for reflection and contemplation. The new museum presents updated historical findings, debunking myths and reevaluating the roles of different parties involved.
Amazing piece of history and a great place to visit for both enthusiasts and general interest.
The path through the museum, into the panoramic and the Lions Mound are very clearly marked and allow you to really understand what you are seeing.
The reenactors were also very enthusiastic and did a great job with the cannon demonstration.

Interesting historical site with loads of interactive modern features. With the online guides you can learn interesting facts about the whole area in many aspects. The Panorama also provides a good experience. Climbing to thetop of the artificial hill really requires some level of fitness. The onsite provided presentations, the 4D movie and many other fascinating things are providing entertainment for the full family.

Good museum. Many different interpretations of the Battle of Waterloo and the different Coalition Wars. The painted panorama is also very impressive. However, the price is way to high for the experience. A 1€ discount for students is ridiculous.

Fantastic Experience!
Came here 7/5/23 10:00-14:50 with the €21 ticket for students (no entrance to the Wellington Museum and the farm where the general slept before the Battle)
€3,5 365a Bus from Bruxelles Porte de Hal.
At the ticket office you are provided with a map of the area, carrage ride timetable and the daily schedule for the different activities they offer (cannon shooting, first aid in a battlefield, platoon...).
The whole visit was great, the audioguide (that you download on your cellphone, good thing I carry headphones) was detailed and interesting. The displays working, and full of images and fun facts. The timelines on the wall help you understand the sequence of events on both sides.
Only things I feel were missing were more details about all the Marshalls that served under Napoleon (which I was looking forward after having seen a docuseries on YouTube), especially my sister's favourite Oudinout aka "colinder man".
After 2:25h, at 12:30 I got on the 10min horse carriage ride to the Hougoumont Farm.
There one of the workers gave a tour of the area, unfortunately only in French, so I couldn't participate.
Although a lot of action happened around this Farm and the importance it had in defeating Napoleon, there wasn't that much information (on the app), so you can easily visit it in 40min.
Walk back to the Panorama of the Battle of Waterloo. Very impressive!
It goes in great detail of what was happening in that day, and a MUST is using the guide to understand what all the details are representing. Don't glance at it quickly, but take your time to study it (it took me 40min). Loved it :-)
Then up I went to the Lion Mound which is more for the view you see, but on a rainy day, you had slippery stairs and not too much to see except dark clouds and green fields.
Afterwards I went to see the field activities, where I got to try the different (more for kids size) uniforms and hold an original bayonette (heavy!).
And that was my experience, really recommended :-)

Must see for history geeks. Museum is interesting and has a 4D 15-minutes movie about the battle. Climb to the lion statue is not easy but not impossible either, The view from there on the battlefield is good. I would suggest to choose a good weather for the visit, as you will also have to walk around 1 km to reach the hougoumont farm - one of the key scenes of the battlefield. The only downside - I could not make the audio guide app work.
Rati Kobakhidze — Google review
Nice museum. Make sure to bring your own headphones so you can listen to the guided your on your phone. The app wasn't working when we were there but it would have been a great addition to our experience.

Visited Waterloo after leaving Brussels. Museum was very informative and well presented. Perfect when rainy outside. Lucky that we got to see the Lion on top after the rains had stopped. The view of the surrounding area where battle took place was worth the climb.
Nook Suphamongkhon — Google review
Very interesting and intense experience, especially since the new museum brings in all the new results of historians and reevaluated the role of each party. The myth of Wellington is definately debunked and it appears more like that the collaboration of all the United forces with a large part of German and Dutch groups who besieged Napoleon and his army in this battle. The exhibition focuses also on the sad destinies of the single soldiers, since they were the ones doing the „job“ in the end.
My only critique is the overrepresentation of Napoleon in the Museums shop. I prefer not to see cute figures of him after having experienced how aggressive he was against other countries.

Incredible museum. Lots to see and interact with. Parking was no issue and free. Great mix of historical items, activities and life size figures. The 3D movie was very powerful. Really helped bring to life the setting and sequence of events prior to moving out onto the actual battlefield. I liked the timelines in one of the hallways that showed the actions take by Napoleon in parallel to the Coalition. Napoleon on the left and coalition on the right. The wax figures on Napoleon and his staff/commanders really put you there in the moment and were so realistic.

A really good museum. The 4d film is impressive as is the diorama. The cafe was expensive and didn't open until noon so have tea/coffee breakfast before going. Also, the shuttle bus to the farm wasn't running. All of this may be because we visited mid March. Still well worth visiting for about 4 to 5 hours.

Great historical museum. When we went there where not manny people which I think is a shame since it’s hold great historical value.
Very interactive museum much information you can get from books 📚 but great to see I really live. Would suggest if you have the time to visit it. Parking was free.

It was better than I thought it was going to be :)
I drove past several times when flying from Charleroi, and even stopped by last time, but got there right before closing. This time I arrived too early. It was worth the wait, I'm a big fan of the Napoleonic Era, and the Waterloo memorial didn't disappoint. That 4D movie was a bit underwhelming, I guess they need a technology update at some point.

You can experience history up close here. The site consists of four parts. The underground museum with modern presentations on the famous battle as well as a special exhibition on 50 years of ABBA and their song of the same name, Waterloo, which led to them winning the ESC in 1974. I particularly liked the 4D animation of the battle, which is viewed with 3D glasses. The actors come very close to you.
In the so-called panorama, the battle is shown in 360 degrees, in front of which there are props such as dead soldiers and horses, cannons, etc. Really very impressive. This building is almost 100 years old, but still fascinating.
Outside on the battlefield is the Butte de Lion, an artificially raised hill 40 m high, on the top of which sits a 28-ton cast iron lion. You get up via a staircase with around 250 steps, which requires a certain level of fitness.
The so-called Emperor's Bivouac is Napoleon's headquarters with the flags of France, Great Britain and Prussia. Outside there is an interesting sculpture of Napoleon and a Prussian eagle.
I can definitely recommend everyone to visit this memorial. The well-stocked souvenir shop with literature and souvenirs is also worth mentioning.

I visited this battlefield back in 1988, now it’s an impressive site for what was a history making battle. It’s an impressive monument and place to visit, really enjoyed it.
Hallerbos, also known as the "Belgians Blue Forest," is a serene woodland famous for its stunning display of bluebells in spring. During April, millions of blue hyacinths bloom, creating a magical blue carpet amidst tall green trees. The forest offers well-maintained walking, cycling, and horse riding paths suitable for visitors of all ages.
It's an amazing place to visit in the springtime. I was impressed of the purple carpet of wild hyacinths. I recommend to visit the forest during the week. I was on Thuesday 19 April, and I met max 10 people.
The mother nature is amazing!
You have to visit this place for sure at least once in your lifetime!

The best forest I've ever seen. Surreal, fairytale-like, these purple flowers are gorgeous. The forest has several sections even without the flowers and remains an enchanting forest. I honestly felt like I was in a fairy tale. I thought it was overrated or different from the photos, but it's not. THE PHOTOS DO NOT GIVE YOU THE IDEA, YOU HAVE TO GO THERE WITH YOUR EYES TO REALLY SEE THE BEAUTY.

If you are in Belgium for an extended period of time, go to this park, especially during spring. The park is not crowded and it is very well kept. Go there if you can.photos do not do it justice. Also, if you love the smell of garlic, there are certain trails that have a very strong scent of wild garlic and they also grow there.

Hallerbos is a stunning forest in Belgium, famous for its bluebell carpet that blooms in spring. The forest offers scenic walks, a forest museum, and a rich history. It is a great place to enjoy nature and relax. Hallerbos is managed by the Agency for Nature and Forest, and is accessible by public transport or car. I highly recommend visiting this forest, especially during the bluebell season.

Hallerbos is my all season favorite weekend forest bathing destination. With awesome trees, seasonal flowers like blue bells , wild white / yellow/ red flowers, it’s best to visit place in any season. Autumn colours and fall also awesome. Easy to reach by public transport and if going by car it has ample parking too . You can eat your picnic. The trails are well marked & safe for solo walks too .

A wonderful park, 30 minutes from Brussels. Many hiking and biking trails. Purple Zvoncic magically colours the entire forest, which is an incredible sight. This is not a phenomenon. There are forests like this all over the world, but the Belgians have protected this environment well and made it an attraction. In any case, a good walk and a wonderful view.

Get prepared to walk amidst tall green trees. Walking, cycling, horse ride paths are well maintained.
Kids friendly, solo, groups, family- a place for everyone to relax.
Enough parking areas around the little forest.
During this hyacinth festival, there are free buses running from Halle station during weekends.
Tables to sit here and there.
A good picnic spot, no entrance ticket.
Blue bells all around is a wonderful sight to walk.
Visitors leave the place as it is and pick your trash.

Beautiful place for a day walk. If visiting at the right time in spring, you can see thousands of blue bells in bloom.
The paths are very well marked and the place is very accessible. It is also forbidden to get out of the marked paths in order to preserve the flowers.

This mall is “meh”. Too crowded, toilet is paid (going to the toilet is a basic human need and should never be charged in my opinion) and it’s rarely open on Sunday! Always found it odd that a mall of all places is not open on the only day that most people have the time to visit.
