Livadaki Beach bar Samos

Mentioned on
Public beach
Outdoor Activities
Beach & Pool Clubs
Livadaki Beach in the north-eastern region of Samos is a hidden gem with stunning natural beauty. This beach offers everything you need for a perfect day by the sea, including kayak rentals, sun loungers, and outdoor snacks. The beach is located in a sheltered bay and has a few restaurants and bars as well. Despite its popularity, Livadaki Beach never feels overcrowded due to its spaciousness.
This place is unreal. It’s so cute and well curated. The food (I’m looking at you club sandwich) and drinks are tasty. But the best part is the free kayak use, cute cabanas, and lots of chairs. It was our favorite beach on Samos.
Randi Lynn Johnson — Google review
Well, being honest this is a very nice set-up. Unfortunately, due to the shape of the gulf the water does not change frequently and you will find it a bit dirty. The shower is next to the toilets and smells horrible. Apart from that, you will find a nice bar and get your drinks and comfortable sunbeds. I recommend you try that early morning so you get the best this place has to give. No wi-fi there also.
Nick Koutsandrias — Google review
Perhaps my favourite place on the island, luxurious vibes but free beds and good prices for food. There are all kinds of sunbeds, chic daybeds and amazing spots to relax and watch the sea (swings in the water and small terraces) You can also use the paddle boards without charge. The burger and pitas are nice, the pasta salad is not very interesting. The blueberry vodka spirit drink is my favourite! Will definitely hang out here more often whenever I come back to Samos. Tip: you have to drive a long off-road path to get there so bring a jeep, quad or drive carefully :)
Jemaine Jacobs — Google review
Amazing location and the local beach bar is very well installed. The sea could be better. Because of the wind that most of the time is blowing in the area it is not the cleanest. Other than that definitely recommended.
Str?ngylis Dionysios — Google review
Nice beach where they serve drinks and snacks. You don't have to pay for sunbeds if you buy food and/or drinks at the residence. The road down to the beach from the main road measures 2,2 km. You need a car to get here. A little bit crowded.
Ida Grøteig — Google review
The beach bar is very good and the staff is very polite and friendly, so if you are more interested in the shop than the sea itself you will enjoy it. The water was not clear because it was windy, Northern wind, and it brought all the rubbish inside the bay and the sand down in the depth was not calm on many spots. You need to go in a day that's not windy at all or not Northern wind at least in order to enjoy the water and the swimming.
Riham Hussein — Google review
Cute pebbles beach, with beach bar that provides all you might need. Sunbeds you can get if you take something from the bar. Enough space to put your own if you prefer.
Marija Pe?i? — Google review
Amazing beach in a beautiful bay, free access. You only pay for your drinks and food, which is a little expensive. Free sunbeds, seaswing, canoes, toilets and showers. The ground is a mix of stones and sand, but doable without watershoes.
Justine van der Weijden — Google review
The road to the beach is quite nice. Beach is lovely to see. The water is warmer here in comparison with other beaches, but also more polluted. Although there is more sand here I still recommend to bring your water shoes. You can see some fish when you’re snorkelling. The sun beds are really nice here.
Nicolehrm — Google review
Great beach bar, with really nice house music, great ambience and many options for food, including some vegetarian options. The beach itself was great, really looking like a small fjord. Loved it.
Apostolos Potaris — Google review
A nice beach with a friendly working staff, half of the sunbeds are free of charge. Mix of Stones and Sand the further you go in the water it will become stone free. Good beach bar and a nice place to snorkle/dive. Family friendly. Only minus is that is pretty small and don't come after 13:00 or you won't have any place to lie down.
Artjom S — Google review
Far away beach but it have everything you need to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There is toilet available and also a shower if you need this before you go home. The sunbeds are for free and no questions ask you need to buy anything. Come early as this a very popular beach. The road to the beach is on gravel and a bit dusty so take it easy on the way to the spot
Evald Kristensen — Google review
Beautiful beach, with free sunbeds with thick matresses. It wasn't too busy when we visited at the beginning of july. Beautiful blue/turqoise water, wich felt quite warm. There are still a lot of rocks, so if you have watershoes i recommend taking them with you. Also we were told that the road to the beach was very rough, but we thought it wasn't bad at all. Just drive as slowly as you need and you will get there in no problem! Really recommend! :)
Lauren van der Wal — Google review
Such a magical place! On the road towards the beach, you will be kept on track by road signs that motivate you to keep going despite the gravel surface. But it so worth the journey! I can’t tell much about the beach club since all we had was an Aperol Spritz, but it seemed to have enough accommodations for a lot of people & a large variation of seating furniture. I recommend going in the early afternoon so you can experience a low-hanging sunset.

Tunnel of Eupalinos

Mentioned on
Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
The Tunnel of Eupalinos, an ancient underground aqueduct built in the 6th century BCE, is a remarkable feat of engineering. Constructed under the direction of the innovative engineer Evpalinos, this extraordinary landmark spans an impressive 1034 meters. Commissioned by Polycrates to secure sources of drinking water for the bustling metropolis of Pythagorio (then known as Samos), this monumental project involved dangerous excavation work that sadly claimed the lives of numerous laborers.
Amazing! This is a must to do if you are in Samos. 2500 year old tunnel made by hand to transfer water
Kristian Hjelm — Google review
If you are taller than 6 foot (180cm) or just don't like narrow, cramped spaces do not go, it will be a torture! The people who lived 2 millennia ago and have build these marvelous tunnels were much much smaller. On Today's standards you could say it was built by dwarfs.
Thomas Hensel — Google review
Last time I visited the sight was on 2017 with my 6 years old son and it was fantastic. We went the whole route and we returned to the start from the mountain. Yesterday ( 08-07-2023) I revisited the sight with my 11 years old now son. They said that it is not allowed for kids to enter the sight if they are less than 14 years old. Also you can't go through the whole route. They said that it is because of covid registrations. Really? It's like going to Athens and not being able to visit Parthenon. I change my grade to one star and will remain like that until they change it back to normal.
CHANTZARAS Nikolaos — Google review
While being on Samos it is a must see attraction. The tunnel makes an amazing impression if you know its history. You can enter only at certain times (different lengths of routes and prices). Unfortunately now (May 2022) it is not possible to go to the end of the tunnel because of the coronavirus. You should also mind that first meters are very narrow and you have to practically squeeze through, which may be a problem for people with claustrophobia or overweight. The only disadvantage is that the guide only leads the way in the tunnel and do not tell any informations about it, so you have to read everything by yourself.
Klaudia Malinowska — Google review
A remarkable feat of ancient engineering. A place worth seeing, a long, low and tight tunnel with an aqueduct dug a few meters below. A place well prepared for visitors, additionally with a beautiful view of the area. ATTENTION! Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to enter.
Andrzej ?nig?rski — Google review
4 stars because the trip in the tunnel is quite a remarkable experience. The one star missing to 5-star is because there is no guide to explain what you see, why it's like this or any further info that adds up to the experience.
??????? ???????? — Google review
Amazing to view, it would’ve been better if there was more of a guide to describe what was happening, but it is a wonder of the ancient world and worth seeing the engineering is incredibly impressive given it was 2 1/2 thousand years ago
W M — Google review
impressive tunnels. with the exposure it also somehow has something romantic. it is very cold compared to the outside temperature in summer, I recommend a thin jacket for sensitive people.
Nadja Pohl — Google review
Interesting place, good underground walking. It is worthy to visit when you visit Pitagorio town.
Arkadiusz Krztoń — Google review
A helmet and instructions were given to us before we went inside. We took the small route of 250 metres which lasted about 30 minutes (going in and then out). You need to wear non slippery shoes. Do not go in if you are claustrophobic. There is a small entrance very narrow and the tunnel all the way is very dark. If you read the story though, you will be amazed of what you are visiting and was built before 2500 years. A must do when in Samos! Don't miss it.
Ibrahim Matar — Google review
Do NOT go if you are afraid of heights or narrow places. Other than that a masterpiece of ancient engineering that you definitely have to visit! Most of the tours need a scheduled appointment (just call in advance). Tour guide is actually there for safety reasons ( as others have mentioned) so do your homework beforehand. Would really like though that last point to change and that is why I cut one star. Definitely worth visiting!
Strοngylis Dionysios — Google review
Absolutely amazing! 10 euros for 400 meters and back of excitement. The reviewers who said you couldn't go very far (and almost discouraged me) obviously bought the wrong ticket.
Paul Stark — Google review
We paid 10 euro for a 25 minute trip. It was supposed to be 40 minutes. The guide doesn't tell anything about the tunnel. She only escorts you through it. If you have questions better read about this place by yourself. You can also get tickets for 8 euro to see the half of the way.
Kamila Świerska — Google review
Amazing they could built this more than 2000 years ago. Can go 420m into the tunnel which is 1200m long. Also you can find the other entrance at N 37° 42.189', E 026° 55.515'. takes like 35min back and in. Very nice
Jaap Versteeg — Google review
Impressive feat of engineering if you think of how it was dug in the 6th century BC from two sides. The tunnel is 1,036 metres long, and at the rendezvous the closing error in altitude for the two tunnels was only a few millimetres. Take the long tour from the southern entrance which takes you to the rendezvous point and back.
Gerry Boshoff — Google review
I loved it. A place surely not to miss. Considering it happened during the 6th century before Christ means a lot. These guys miss the perfect connection of two different tunnels by 40cm.
Nick Koutsandrias — Google review
The entrance to the tunnel is quite narrow and low, so be prepared to stoop over. The guide is a safety guide, not a tour guide, so make sure to do your reading about the history before you go. It's a fascinating place, well worth the visit. There are 3 different options to visit the tunnel and two of them require advance booking so be sure to check out the website to see which tour best suits you.

Tsamadou Beach, located in Samos, offers a range of attractions for visitors. This stunning coastal area features pristine shores and breathtaking ocean views. Travelers can also explore the surrounding countryside, which boasts well-preserved walking trails that lead to Mt Ampelos. In addition to its natural beauty, Tsamadou Beach is home to charming coffee shops, gift stores, and traditional tavernas where one can immerse themselves in local culture.
Great beach, beach bar one side, nudist place in other side. Cristal sea.
Arkadiusz Krztoń — Google review
The beach itself and the sea are beautiful. There are a lot of different fishes near the rocks and cliffs, so bring your snorkel gear! Why i didn't gave the rating 5 stars, is because we thought the music of the beach bar was far too loud to relax. Even with my face underwater i could still hear the load music. It is of course a beach bar, but it was still a lot louder compared to the other beach bars where we went.
Lauren van der Wal — Google review
Great rocky beach. Nice restaurant which is off season closed mid October. Blue sea. Toilet no wifi. Enjoyed it very much, end October bring your own food.
Jaap Versteeg — Google review
The beach in the middle is very nice!
Franz Bettag — Google review
This beach has a nudist part. A bit strange to combine it with regular beach visitors like ourselves (two young children). Access to the beach is via some steps and a pretty steep gravel road. The beach is full with pebbles, not really relaxed. Same for the water; lots of pebbles and goes deep pretty quick. Not ideal for children. They do rent out beach chairs.
Martijn — Google review
Beautiful views from the path. But the beach is not so good.
annice in wonderland — Google review
Excellent water and due to location protected from wind. Sunbed and umbrellas free when you order from the restaurant. service to the beach is fast and organized. Also you can use better sunbeds near restaurants if you are not happy with the rocks.
Noyanshi — Google review
Beautiful, crystal clear water, but on the beach a tourist bar that destroys the idea of simple Greece. Otherwise very nicely arranged, to see, but I wouldn't come every day.
Aleksandra Kambič — Google review
Mice stone beach. Being shoes. Glorious breeze whilst sunbathing. Beds are ok comfort wise. Costs 2 drinks with no cost. Steep slope down to the beach from the road. Well worth a days visit.
richmouland — Google review
It'a must do for swimming. We loved this beach😊
Nuri S. — Google review
It's a lovely beach club with a beautiful location and sea. It has a spacious parking lot, making it easy to find a spot. The loungers are well-spaced and comfortable. There's a wide range of beverage options, and the staff is attentive. The food, however, may not be exceptionally delicious, but it depends on your expectations. The sea is stunning, and you can spend the whole day there. Lounger prices vary based on different models.
Bahadir Coltu — Google review
Nudist beach on eastern side is official and unchallenging. Stony, as most beaches, but pretty. Even better is the cafe at the top which has super views and is surprisingly uncrowded even when the beach is crowded.

Panagia Spiliani Monastery

Caverns & Caves
Located on a clifftop overlooking the sea and Pythagoreio, Panagia Spiliani Monastery is a historic site with a cave chapel that dates back centuries. This monastery, established in 1586, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Turkish coast and the town below. A peaceful ambiance permeates the large cool cave, which can be reached by descending 95 steps from the entrance. The interior of the tiny church within the cave is adorned with religious icons.
A great place to visit if you are in Pythagorio. You can get there by car, it has plenty of parking spaces, but I recommend a good 20-30 min. hike from the port. It offers a cave that cools you off from the blazing summer sun, a souvenir shop, toilets and a nice belvedere spot to sit down and enjoy the seaview.
Lucian Marin — Google review
When you are in the neighborhood of Pythagoreio you should definitely give this monastery a visit. The atmosphere is really calm and quite. The views over the bay, sea and airport are very nice. The chapel is located in a cave and is really peaceful. I would say a visit is worthwhile when you are in the neighborhood or combined with other sites in the surrounding area. There are two public toilets but one was out of order and the other had no toilet paper. That was quite annoying.
Stephan van der Mel — Google review
There is a cave for prayers, nice views of Pythagoreio city. You can go there dirty road with some incline.
Kamila Katarzyna ?wierska — Google review
The reasons to visit here are the view and the cave. The monastery and chapel are nice too. The view is breathtaking. You can view a large portion of the south side of the island from here. The cave is very impressive. The water from the holy spring runs across the ceiling of the cave, giving it a special atmosphere.
Michiel Essen — Google review
At a distance it looks like a big house. So I decided to go there. And i don't regret that. It's the best view you can get over town, a beautiful building and a wonderful cave.
MakZor — Google review
nice vantage point. there isn't that much to see. the little chapel of God somehow has something creepy about it for my taste. at the same time it's also kind of fascinating. Good shooting-spot
Nadja Pohl — Google review
We walked a 3 mile circuit from our Zorbas Hotel this cool clear morning. The quiet road has a gentle incline, passing a Hellenistic Villa and aqueduct ruins on the way to the 6th C BC Tunnel of Eupalinos. After viewing its opening, we backtracked up to this monastery founded in 1586 which was free to enter. Passing the courtyard tower, we saw the chapel then descended into the beautiful lighted cave-grotto to its pretty blue chapel. Researchers claim it was a place of worship since ancient times. Back outside near the WC at the old supported pine, we found wonderful views to the town castle, the Roman baths and airport. Returning, we stopped to see the Roman theater and its 4th C BC arched cavern behind the stage. Perfect exercise with great scenery and part of the 1992 UNESCO Pythagorein and Heraion of Samos.
Ibrahim Matar — Google review
Beautiful monastery with fantastic views of Pythagoreio. Make sure you check out the church within the cave, which might be the hiding and teaching place of Pythagoras, the famous mathematician from Samos. You can drive to the top or walk from the main town in 30 mins.
Geri Wedlake — Google review
Amazing sight and amazing church in the cave in an amazing location. The atmosphere inside the church is so fascinating and the view of the airport and the sea and Pythagoreio on the outside Mali it a beautiful combination!
ellie pap — Google review
Very beautiful place. Nice view over the ocean and the city of Pythagoreio. I would strongly recommend that you go see this little pearl. Such a lovely view and a little cave where you can light a candle, make a wish and make a prayer if you're into that. It is high above the ocean, be prepared that you'll have to drive at small roads with heavy incline.
foodbymilbo — Google review
Nice place, nice temperatures in the cave. Once you have climbed the hill to the monastery, you then descend 95 steps to the cave dedicated to the Virgin Mary (Παναγία, Panagia, All holy). We are informed that the cave is man made, excavated in ancient times as a quarry for the stone used as building material for the city and its walls. Despite being an artificial grotto, a spring and the remains of an ancient temple discovered here indicate that this was a sacred place in antiquity. It has been suggested that it may have been inhabited by the Samian Sibyl (σίβυλλα, prophetess) Phyto (also referred to as Phemonoe or Foito), and that it was the Cave of Pythagoras (although another cave on Samos also claims this). The water of a pool in the cave, known as the Agiasma (Αγίασμα, Holy Water), is considered to be holy by Christians. A church was built here in Byzantine times, and later a monastery. The cave contains a famous icon of the Virgin believed to have miraculous properties. The cave was used by local people as a place of refuge during times of danger, of which Samos has seen many. Monks no longer live here,.

This review goes to the restaurant on the beach Lemonakia. The food is exceptionally good and fresh with honest prices. The service is very friendly and fast, we had the best time in this beach and restaurant. The quality is by far better than any other restaurant we tried in Pythagorion. Authentic genuine fresh food both meat and fish. The place is sparkling clean in every corner included the toilet. Water is crystal clean.

A standart, lovely, well organised, "self service" beach that's ~30 mins of walk from Kokkari center (you don't necessarily drive here). The sea is the Aegean so you know how beautiful it can be 😍 Various options to lay/sit/stay (on the shore, on upper levels on geass, tables with chairs, etc.). We only had beers & chips and the chips was home made and delicious. I just can't understand why they don't give you treats with beer unlike all the cafes/bars. Any ideas?

We had a relaxing day at Lemonakia Beach. Two sun-beds with an umbrella costs 10€ in total. One sun-bed costs 6€. Food prices were a bit high in my view, e.g. one caffe latte with ice costs 3,5€. The beach itself is really calm. Toilets were clean and showers had great water pressure. They also have a car park in their premisses, but you can also park on the side of the main road and walk down to the beach. The beach is not protected against northerly winds, so it may be quite wavy on windy days.

Meltemi Restaurant is a traditional Greek family eatery situated in the coastal village of Kokkari in northern Samos. Positioned just steps away from the sea, this establishment specializes in serving up delectable dishes made from fresh fish, while also offering a wide variety of other authentic recipes. The restaurant's location by the shore contributes to its beach house-like ambiance, creating a unique dining experience.
We had a wonderful evening with excellent service, delicious food and a complete Greek cuisine and Mediterranean flavors. Thank you very much to all the waiters and chefs.

Best restaurant in Kokkari. We tried 8 different restaurants during our time in Kokkari but kept coming back to Meltemi. Awesome seating right on the beach, excellent food (especially their fresh fish) and great and polite service. Their fish plate for two could easily feed four so maybe skip some starters if you decide to go for that. Also, since it’s located on the beach: No mosquitoes :)

Delicious food, rich variety of wines and other drinks, professional and friendly staff ... I definitely recommend you visit the restaurant when you come to Kokkari.

The staff was not nice almost seemed that we were being given as a favor to eat there. It created a bad experience by itself The fish was good however the salad had undisclosed ingredients that we were allergic to. Considering all the nice restaurants in the island there are far better options Not recommend

My husband and I ate here and the food was quite good but eventually, we noticed that the people sitting a little away from us. Were treated quite badly by the people who worked at the restaurant. ... i must say, it's a disappointing to see people being treated that way.

So it's just a classical tourist point of a famous Greek island. Also, to be honest, when I read the comments about racist behaviour of the owner, I though people exaggerate somehow. But I experienced the same and understood why people wrote those words. The waiters are lovely young boys, but when (probably) the owner heard my nationality he literally changed his face haha. No one cares about your racist opinions, we just want to eat nice food during our holiday. Which is another topic, the food was average to me, as a person who knows well the local Greek cuisine and fried zucchini was too oily, which is the only important part of that plate already. Overall, not again.
Melerence — Google review
I really love this place. You can easily find typically Greek cuisine here. Near to sea, you can enjoy your food and drink. It is crowded place, go there before 20.30.

Really nice place to sit. Windy. The food is good. We had beef stifado and prawn souvlaki, both were really nice. They have also enough waiters, and they are friendly and will do everything for you. The only thing is but this is in every restaurant, they take your order for drinks at the same time when you order your dinner or lunch. I would serve the drinks first and than when ordering dinner go for the second round. Win win. We would go back to here.
Karin Schep — Google review
The food was great with a good value for money. One of the best service we experienced in Greece so far. The house offered us the dessert at the end of the diner as well. I would recommend to make a reservation, the tables in front of the sea are adding a big plus to the diner.

We wanted to find out best restaurant on Samos island and I think we find it. Meltemi taverna satisfied us in all ways - classic greek cuisine, seafood, home wine. We had seafood fish plate for two. I cannot imagine 2 people who can handle it. I think it is portion at least for four:-) service perfect, near the sea, it was a little bit loud, but we enjoyed it very much. Edit. We came back here once again. And we had typical greek food, I can recommend it. It was also delicious. So not only excellent tavern with fish or seafood, but also excelent greek cuisine.

When you are in Kokkari, go and eat at Poseidon! Great food and great hosts, top lactation on the port. This year they have a beautiful new terrace, new chairs and tables and the food is still fantastic as always.

Fantastic service, truly beautiful food. The lamb kofta melted in my mouth and my wife just kept muttering mmm with each mouthful of her fresh sea food. The restaurant is right on the sea front but sometimes the sea can get a little lively and splash in uninvited over the first row. It all adds to the entertainment. I'd recommend this place as the single best place to eat on Samos. Superb.

The most amazing family owned restaurant. They are genuinely the nicest hosts. To top it off, their food was amazing. We had the vegetable soup, feta cheese pie, squid and swordfish skewer. Everything was delicious and I’d definitely love to come back someday.

We spent two weeks in Samos this year and we were based in Kokkari. We had dinners in other places, but the cooking was so good in Poseidon Restaurant, that we ended up in spending most of our evening there. The food is superb and one can find almost any traditional Greek recipes. The service is excellent and available in various languages. Definitely, the right place to eat an evening meal and relax in front of the sea.

The hotel and restaurant is run by an amazing family! They are very kind and the service is thumbs up. The menu is terrific! There is a lot to choose, so we ate here three times. Also; very child friendly! 10/10 recommend!

Very nice location, try to get one of the tables by the sea. Friendly service; very quick. Taste is average; sea bream was over cooked, mix spread plate was not good. If you are not a gourmet, you can try.

Nce location, try to get one of the tables by the sea. Quick service. Taste is varying; shrimps saganaci was extermely over cooked, soup had a wierd taste (I didn't eat it), artishok was actually good. If you are not a gourmet, you can try.

Psili Ammos beach, situated in Samos, boasts stunning and picturesque bays with transparent waters and sandy shores, providing an idyllic setting for swimming and unwinding. The natural beauty of the limitless coastlines will captivate and surprise visitors, each one more exquisite than the next. These well-maintained beaches are adorned with either sand or pebbles, accompanied by lush vegetation that stretches towards the shore, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.
By far our favorite beach of the island from what we have seen. It wasn't busy at all, there was a very chill and relaxed vibe. The water is beautifull and it is a beach with a lot more sand compared to the other beaches on Samos. The water it beautiful and super clear, you can see all the fishes surrounding you. The sunbeds that we used there were free. I still recommend bringing your watershoes if you have them, because the beginning of the sea still has a lot of rocks.

The Paris restaurant is located above the road, it has a wonderful view of the Aegean Sea, a nice atmosphere, a variety of fish and meat and Greek cuisine, wine and vegetables of their own production!!

Nice beach, spacious, with fine sand, suitable for children and adults who enjoy "safe" swimming . Rent an umbrella+ sunbeds and/or have a snack/drinks .

Gorgeous beach! Shallow and perfect for small children. Blue sunbeds are free with order from hotel bar which is brought to your sunbed. What's not to love! We'll definitely return and would highly recommend. Can be difficult to find parking at busy times.

Lakis restaurant is a great place to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine with friendly waitstaff. The restaurant is family-owned and offers outdoor seating that's perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. Reservations are not necessary, but they're definitely recommended. There's also a full bar and free wifi – perfect for catching up on work or binge-watching your favorite show. And don't forget to try the delicious vegan options!
Very good food, little different. Nice staff.

Restaurant a little outside the center. Sushi is worth it. The main dishes are tasty! Ocean View. Definitely visit this restaurant if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Pythagorion. Recommended.

Wonderful food, great service, friendly staff. We went for dinner, every member of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meal, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. I can definitely recommend the beetroot salad 👍, well worth a try. Thoroughly recommended 😊

Friendly host and amazing food. They know how to prepare meat with a lovely smokey flavour from the charcoal. Defintely reccommend thus restaurant just outside the city center.

This place is the definition of fine dining. It offers quality, service and atmosphere that you won't find in other restaurant in the WHOLE island. The food here is crazy!!Staff very helpful and always smiling. Had a decent list of wines to pick and actually only the best ones.I had the rib eye (medium cooked as I asked) and it literally melted in your mouth. Husband's smoked steak was the best he ever had! We also had the shrimp sevitse and one that left us speechless was the kalamari with basil pesto. Kids had bao buns and they gave them drawings to color until food was ready, which was thoughtful. On Fridays they have Asian menu and some days they have people playing blues or jazz. We definitely going back to try the rest of the menu. The owner Giorgos (or George) is experienced and turned the whole place in a small dining diamond and last but not least our compliments to the chef!!If you are in Samos you MUST eat at Lakis.

Tried it on sushi night ,Friday. Not familiar to these tastes. The salad and the chicken were very tasty. The rest were nothing special to be mentioned. The service was transmitting stress. The music was unsuitable. Prices were high and we never got the receipt with the bill..

BLUE CHAIRS RESTAURANT EΣΤΙΑΤΟΡΙO ΠΛATεIα Βουρλιωτων is a charming family-run taverna located in a small village with a lovely atmosphere. While reaching the restaurant may involve some driving through hills and forests, the final experience is truly rewarding.
Lovely place. Been there for decades and as I see time was on its side. Homemade village style Greek food the same way we make it at home. Very friendly staff, good service, sensible prices.

Super traditional food with excellent service and the location is perfect! The mountain village is also very beautiful. A must visit when on Samos!

We had a Greek salad, butter beans, eggplant with tomato sauce and feta in the oven, veal with tomato sauce slowly cooked served with rice. Everything was delicious!!!! Really well cooked! Grandma (yiayia) style. The young lady who served us was very kind and friendly! The location of the family-run taverna is magnificent, under a leafy tree. Highly recommended!

One of the most incredible restaurants we've visited. The atmosphere is like we're in a dream. The food was also very very delicious. Be careful about the road. It's the steepest and narrowest road I've driven. Google put us on the wrong road since it was supposed to be slightly shorter. Take the longer one
Tahsin Dane — Google review
Beautiful courtyard with blue chairs and lots of greens. Friendly staff, big selection of greek food, looks delicious and tastes delicious as well! The portions are very big, be careful 😄 Gets quite busy close to dinner time, so I would recommend to book a table in advance. Personally recommend to vegetarians - tomatoes filled with rice. Beautiful spot! Don't miss it if you're in the neighbourhood!

If you will jump in there on such an evening of great chaos like we did, you will never forget it. At the end the waiters started sirtaki that lasted into the night, but our scooter was waiting for a long ride... When and how this end ended, we will never know...

Nice little square in the old Village. Take a walk to the old church/monastry up the hill or by car, it is a steep walk, the church inside the monastry is so beautiful! Only had a drink at the square
Jgd Van Duivenboden — Google review
Very good small village and lovely atmosphere. Although reaching requires some driving in the hill and the forest, final is really good. By the way be careful on google map navigation. It took us in the middle of nowhere, taken into another village and then into forest with single car only passing road then terrifyng leaf covered (no one has passed before) type of road. Had to come back and look for alternate road. Result is very good. Highly recommend white wine (home made) which has high alcohol (similar to liquer). Go and try it if you are at Samos.
