Japanese inn
Deep in the mountains lies the charming Japanese inn known as 寸又峡 温泉 民宿深山. This resort is famous for its rejuvenating hot springs, which are surrounded by picturesque scenery that includes a breathtaking suspension bridge over a scenic gorge. Guests can enjoy comfortable lodging and take advantage of all the amenities offered by this onsen resort.
After driving up narrow roads to get here, there is a large parking area where you can walk up into the town from. There are many different kinds of hot springs here, as well as cafes and food stores, selling grilled food and ice cream. There is even a hammock cafe. Walk further into the mountains (on concrete road) and you will reach a long cave that you may walk through. Eventually you will reach a suspension bridge. It's a little scary to cross, but worth it. You must walk up stairs to get back to the concrete paths, but after that the walk is easy. It is truly a beautiful place to go. Wear proper walking shoes and be prepared for a lineup at the suspension bridge.

Narrow road (only 1 lane)!! Must Drive a car very slowly, The hotel staffs are very nice and have a wonderful dinner with local grilled fish. Breakfast is also ok. After check out, go to Yume no Tsuribashi bridge , driving through the village. Walking slowly and enjoy the nice view until you can see the bridge, very awesome water color.

(Translated by Google) Perhaps because the weather forecast the day before was bad, my husband and I were able to enjoy a quiet and luxurious time in a private room. I was looking forward to the ``Dream Suspension Bridge'' the most, but the wind was strong and the lake surface was rippling, so it was quite disappointing. The elderly couple at the hotel were very warm and helpful, and when I felt like I was feeling a bit tired lately. It was an inn that made me want to come back when I wanted to relax (*^^*) The facilities were standard for a guesthouse, but it was clean and well-maintained. The facilities are normal, but what about the landlady? I thought the casual ornaments placed here and there were wonderful and stylish, probably because of his hobby. Many modern guesthouses have elaborate designs. I am also completely addicted to guesthouses. This is a wonderful inn that anyone who likes guesthouses should definitely visit at least once. As other people have written about the food and the bath, it was really good♪ (Original)

(Translated by Google) The only highlight of Sumata Gorge itself is the bridge, A quiet and relaxing place with clean air. It feels like a small guesthouse in an unexplored area. To be honest, I think the larger inns in the area probably have better service. *I have never stayed there, so this is just my imagination lol One Japanese-style room. There's even a small TV inside. There is no safe, so be careful with your valuables. As for the food, I have no complaints. Satisfied with both quality and quantity!! ︎ The hot springs are slippery and moist. It smells a bit like sulfur, but I'm satisfied. The bathroom and changing room are small and shabby. At check-in, an old man will guide you, 90% of the time I don't understand what you're saying lol *Although he has some quirks, he is a good person.

(Translated by Google) An unusual station between two tunnels This station used to be called Kawane-Nagashima Station, but There is a hot spring at the end of the station, which is located on a slightly elevated place. Due to being submerged by Nagashima Dam, it was relocated to the area around the station. The name of the station was also changed to the current ``Sekikyo Onsen Station''. Additionally, there were private houses and so-called Kawane tea plantations around the current hot spring site, but these also disappeared due to the construction of the dam. The station also has a hot spring on its premises, which makes it a unique station. The Okuoikojo station next door is also good, Personally, I love the atmosphere of this station, where the scenery remains unchanged from long ago. Yume no Tsuribashi suspension bridge

Bridges
Yume no Tsuribashi, also known as Dream Bridge, is a 90-meter-long suspension bridge that spans the Sumata Gorge in Shizuoka. The bridge hangs 8 meters above the striking emerald-colored Oma Dam Lake, which gets its vivid hues from the Tyndall Effect. Visitors are captivated by the unexpected beauty of this lesser-known gem and can experience thrills while walking across it.
We went on a Tuesday at 1pm and nobody was there. It was so beautiful. My wife made me go and it was so much better than what I expected. It is truly breathtaking and we have never seen anything like it. The water is crystal clear and blue. The surrounding area is beautiful. I would have liked to have seen it before all the fall leaves were gone, however I know there would be so many people here. Our friend from Tokyo drove us there. The road to it has a lot of turns, very narrow, and you go up and down mountains. Also, when you cross the bridge, you are not supposed to cross it back (from what we read and heard). You are supposed to continue up a steep mountain and circle around. With nobody there, we just crossed back and did not have to go around and do that steep hike. In the end, I recommend going at this time and during the week. Hardly any people and it is still beautiful.

What a beautiful place!!! The stunning water that can go from a green shade to a blue one depending on the weather is definitely worth a visit. Crossing the bridge can be both challenging and fun. Surprisingly, even though it's not stable at all, I felt very safe and secure on it. Be prepared for the way up after the bridge as the staircase seems to be endless. I had to make some stops on the way to catch my breath (just for the record, I'm not in my best physical condition 😅). Wear comfortable shoes for it's a long walk back to the parking lots area and if possible, plan your visit to a non holiday weekday. There's no cost to enter the park, but they do ask for donations to help on maintenance (non mandatory) and the parking lots are charged.
