Sinaia

Sinaia is a town in central Romania’s Bucegi Mountains, surrounded by ski trails. Its 17th-century Sinaia Monastery was once a royal family residence. German neo-Renaissance Peleș Castle, now a museum, has Klimt frescoes and stained-glass windows. The smaller, neighboring Pelișor Castle has a half-timbered facade. Across the Prahova River, the George Enescu Memorial House is the former home of the Romanian musician.

Peres Castle is a neo-renaissance royal residence in Romania, located in the mountains of central Transylvania. Completed in 1873, it was commissioned by Romanias first king, Carol. Today it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Romania and features hundreds of paintings, sculptures and objets d'art.
A must see when in Romania. Magnificent Palace in the middle of wonderful nature. Nice history as well (although shortly lived) and the decoration inside is brilliant. I liked the main hall with the great combination of marble, woodwork and carpeta. Also, the huge mirrors are pretty impressive for their time. I only did the short tour (no extra rooms) but I think it was sufficient.

A must-see for any Romanian or foreigner! The way the furniture was decorated/built shows how seriously the art of sculpture used to be taken. Props to the architects and carpenters! It's a marvelous building. Unique and breathtaking. It takes about an hour to visit the entire palace. Very nice staff, they let us visit the top floors despite being slightly late! Thank you for a memorable experience!!

As an architect I really adore this castle. Nearly every room embodies a different historical style, one could practically teach architectural history by touring it. The outside is gorgeous as well, with a well decorated garden and excellent mountain view. Strongly recommend.
Federico Chiavegati — Google review
The Castle is preserved in good condition. Interiors are interesting and there are a lot of items to explore. If you are visiting during a weekend or a public holiday prepare to spend a lot of time in a queue, even if you have bought tickets online in advance. There are no guided tours as far as I know, only audio guides.
Nikos Tsirakis — Google review
A must visit if you’re in Romania! The castle is beautiful and so wonderfully curated. The woodcarving is exquisite and the rooms are well preserved. Skip Sinaia Monastery and Bran Castle and do this instead. The walk from the parking lot is a bit long so make sure you account for that. 100% recommend!
Manu Rathore — Google review
This is definitely the most amazing and castle in Romania. It's a must see if you visit this country. It has a lot of beautiful details and furniture. The downside is that some rooms are not open like the theater room which is amazing in pictures, and the fact that most descriptions are not translated in English and other languages
Traian Mihalache — Google review
A very disappointing experience. After we bought a parking permit for 5 Euros and received no ticket or other proof of payment, we walked up to the castle. A long way with no resting places, no benches, or other possibilities to sit down and rest. Outside the castle, in the surrounding area, some buildings are better looking than others. You can immediately see that the restaurants and cafes are somehow limited to price, offer, and space. Positive: it is a national cultural treasure built by the Romanian nation, now re-owned by the former royal family who used to rule the country. Negative: the administration of this place with all the sides and effects of such lousy management. Suggestions: the entry ticket should include in the price the entire castle and not just a part. You have to pay more than double to visit the other sections, which is wrong. Recommend: it depends! If you haven't visited it before, yes, you should see it. If you did, don't mess up your good memories.

It is a magnificent Castle with its surrounding buildings and Garden. They charge a separate fee per floor to visit the castle. I'm warning you in advance. Don't waste money on the top floor (floor 2). I'm uploading the photos of all floors. Please check. The other two floors (I mean option 1 ticket) are more than enough. The castle closes at 17.00, but ticket sales end at about 16.00. Check out the photos I've uploaded regarding ticket prices and hours. Parking is 30 lei.
Ayg?l G?rel — Google review
Seriously like a fairytale. Magical place to visit, if you can ignore the thousand tourists. Some really amazing pieces of memorabilia inside, and of course the castle and it's surrounding are just superb. The only reason for the one star deduction is the 50 Lei that we were charged for parking and the rude attendant charging it. Absolute scam
Jarrod Hunt — Google review
Wonderful and beautiful place. The territory is cleaned, there are many places for photos and in general the atmosphere is excellent. The castle itself is impeccable, the interior is richly and beautifully decorated. Beautiful furniture, chandeliers and mirrors. You can pay separately for visiting the first floor, or two, or the entire castle at once. Children really like this place. I hope to return.

Beautiful castle, outside and inside. Perfect location as well, natural place, nice promenade to the castle. Luxurious piece of architectural and historical jewlery. Be careful and leave the area before the night comes, as bears might appear, there is forest all around and brown bears sometimes come lured by the trash bins.
Deea Di — Google review
Make sure to visit the castle – it's a must! Inside, it's absolutely beautiful, with lots of interesting details to admire. I suggest booking a tour with a guide so you can learn all about the castle's fascinating history.
Theodora Lazarides — Google review
Beautiful place, with interesting story. But does not look like Romania, looks like Bavaria, but it worth visiting. From my point of view Bran’s Castle is better, it really looks like a medieval castle.
Ramiro Machado — Google review
We visited with a group and a tour guide and we didn't regret it! The castle is truly amazing and it's definitely worth paying the ticket to see it from the inside! It was a great experience. everything has been preserved so well, it's impressive! I definitely recommend you visit it! Probably buy the ticket online if you're not with a group. We were there pretty early and also with a group so we didn't have to wait long, but I imagine already having a ticket will speed up the process !
sofia kr — Google review
One of the most beautiful castles I have ever been to. The king lived here in the beginning of the 20th century, and that really shows! The interior is worth a visit for sure - there are exquisitely preserved rooms, with a fantastic range of styles.
Harald Ringbauer — Google review
Great castle. Loved all the wood throughout and the mixture of cultures seen throughout the art and furniture pieces. Not a huge castle, can get done in 15-30min. I would recommend bringing a student ID card even if you're coming from overseas, the discount is a great deal.
Nicole Valladares — Google review
The beauty and scenery of this place is truly breathtaking. Of course it was absolutely PACKED with people and so busy. It’s interesting to hear the history of this place and later grab a coffee (pricey) with the view of the castle. Definitely worth going!
Anastasia — Google review
The Peleș Castle is truly awesome and makes for an amazing day trip when you're visiting Romania with your family. It's worth planning an entire day for this visit because there's so much to see and do. First, you'll need to walk up for about 20 minutes, especially if you're unlucky and have to park your car farther down. However, this uphill walk through the forest on a cobblestone path is quite pleasant. Once you ascend, you can grab a snack like boiled or fried corn and apples in a sweet red syrup, so you don't need to worry about skipping lunch. Pro tip: When you spot the castle, you can take a shortcut by crossing the grassy area leading to it. Not many people do this, but it saves you time, and you can overtake those following the predefined road. Upon reaching the castle, you should get your tickets, and they don't mind whether you purchased them online or not; everyone goes through the same line. The prices are 59 for the first floor, 100 for the second, and 150 for the third. We opted for the first and second floors, which proved to be more than sufficient. Consider bringing your student ID as it may get you a discount. The castle is stunning and incredibly interesting to explore, well worth the money. However, by the end of the second floor, you might start to feel a bit tired, and you'll notice similar things, so it's perfectly fine to stop there. The castle's garden is also exceptionally beautiful and offers plenty of photo opportunities. Additionally, there's a souvenir shop on-site. Pro tip: • Make sure to use the shortcut to the castle • See two first floors • Bring your student card • Wear comfortable shoes

A truly magnificent and picturesque location. The grounds are immaculately maintained, with ample photo opportunities and an overall enchanting ambiance. The castle itself is nothing short of resplendent, its interior adorned with opulent and exquisite décor. Exquisite furnishings, lavish chandeliers, and gleaming mirrors adorn the halls. Visitors can opt to explore either the first floor, both floors, or the entire castle at their leisure. Children will be particularly enchanted by this enchanting site. I eagerly anticipate returning to this gem.
Jean Petrov — Google review
A really nice castle that is well worth visiting. The exterior is stunning and it is a fascinating and beautiful piece of architecture. If you are exploring Romania and have a chance to visit this castle then you must, especially if you have a hire car. If you arrive at the same time as a major tour bus then entry into the museum that is situated within the castle can take a long time and the queue can build up massively. If you are short on time it is worth just exploring the exterior and avoiding the museum unless you really want to see it.
Matthew Harwood — Google review
Beautiful castle, worth a visit! There are two castles, just pick a ticket for the big one. Small one not worth it. Be advised that whatever road you take you'll get there via long and winding B roads (as usual for so many places in Romania). The bar restaurant just outside the castle sells overpriced ice cream, better go into town (there's a Lidl).
Frank de Groot — Google review
Incredible castle. The detailed craftsmanship in each room is just astounding. I loved seeing the different styles in each room. We went with a guide and had limited time but if I went again I'd add on the optional second floor to see more. We also went to Pelisor, and recommend doing that - it can be seen quickly if you have limited time.
Donna Spencer — Google review
The Castle itself was unfortunately closed when we went to visit, however we were still allowed to walk in the grounds. It was one of the first castles I ever visited that is actually beautiful and a place you would actually want to live in. It was extremely beautiful. The colours, the statues, the details in architecture... I wish it was open so we could have seen the inside which I can only assume would have been just as magnificent. Will definitely visit again soon.

Peleș Castle is an architectural gem in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. Built in the neo-romantic style, this impressive castle exudes a beauty rarely seen. With its exceptional architecture and intricate details, Peleș Castle captivates you at first sight. Among the fascinating historical facts, it served as the summer residence of the kings of Romania and as a meeting place for famous personalities from around the world. Its construction began in 1873, commissioned by King Carol I, and was completed in 1914. I heard an interesting saying about King Carol I, that goes "The greatest Romanian was German". Personally, I have never seen a castle quite as impressive. Every corner exudes a unique elegance, and its richly decorated interior transports you to another era. Peleș Castle is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful castles in the world and an unforgettable destination for anyone passionate about history and architecture.
Radenko Ćetojević — Google review
Very beautiful site. The interiors were all closed in february and, we were told, had queues for hours in summer. The exterior is very beautiful and feels like a slice of Bavaria in Romania. There is a small coffee shop and souvenir shop. The paths are steep and would a challenge for a wheelchair user as they are cobbled. Really enjoyed our visit but i do recommend having a guide.

Sinaia Monastery is a 15th century Eastern Orthodox building located in Sinaia, Romania. The complex includes a museum, a church and a tomb. The monastery's architecture and interiors are truly stunning and worth a visit.
The monastery has a powerful spiritual energy. If you are a Christian it's a bit touching. Anyway I would recommend to go to see it even if you don't believe. The monastery has an excellent architectonic value. Keep in mind that the first photo is from the original monastery goes as back as 300 years! There are some activities to do. For example light 🕯️ a candle, pry 🙏, wash you face and drink holly water 💦.
???????? ??????? — Google review
There are actually 2 monasteries here, a really old one (tiny, but cool…) & a bigger one built hundreds of years later. The museum was unfortunately closed when I came (Covid? Winter? Not sure…but maybe check ahead…), but the setting (gorgeous snow-covered mountains) & the monasteries themselves are certainly worth the visit. Apparently built as a sort of “tribute” to the holy men who helped hide one of Transylvania’s exiled leaders while he was on the run. When he regained power, he funded the construction as a “thank you”. Built on the site where one of the priests/ monks apparently had a holy vision. Interesting & historic spot!

Beautiful monastery and something I didn't really plan on seeing when visiting Sinaia (did a day trip from Braşov to see the Peleş Castle). If you are coming from the Sinaia train station, the bus that goes to Peleş castle also passes by this monastery. I highly recommend you stop by this place too, it's such a tranquil place with a small but pretty garden. I wasn't able to go to the museum though, it had closed by the time I visited. So I just saw the main church and grounds but enough for some beautiful photos!
Daryl Kayanan — Google review
It’s an unmissable visiting opportunity if you are in Sinaia. Mainly it’s about the old and new church, the tomb of Take Ionescu, Romanian PM after WWI, along with the old walls and ongoing enlargements of the court, park etc.
Octav V — Google review
It's a lovely monastery and there's parking right outside. It's also very near the castle so it's basically a 2 for 1.
Waving Tree Farm — Google review
A beautiful sacred place, to visit, to meditate, to find a few minute of peace of mind. The sacred place where the Romanian Royal Family used to come to pray
Sorin Ciocan — Google review
Really quaint monastery with a few monks still present and working the courtyard gardens. The original, smaller church and the larger new one are both very interesting to look at in their own right to see how religious art has evolved and become more sophisticated in the past few hundred years
Chris Bowman — Google review
Rainy day didn’t help the place but it was calm and tranquil. The frescoes are amazing, shane it was very dim inside the main church.
Lizzie Smith — Google review
3 stars. And this is why: The interior is nice. But from start you have 2 beggers that will contact you when you go in and out. One of them surely was under drugs. If they bothered me, they will bother others also. Clearly somebody from administration knows they are there. Second, inside the monastetry there is a red cord that is ment to stop you to go further. When a church does that, is not a church. So you can do what i did, walk in, take photos where you like, feel sick and get out. Amin!
Octavian — Google review
Quiet place. You can visit inside the old monastery and surroundings. There is also a museum inside the church grounds.
Radu Gabriel Nastase — Google review
Skippable. Unless you’re here for a religious visit, the monastery doesn’t offer much as a tourist attraction. Peleş Castle is definitely a better use of your time in Sinaia. The monastery is much like other smaller monasteries in Bucharest with little description of its historical significance.
Manu Rathore — Google review
There is little information on site regarding the monastery and its function, ditto for the description of the various works inside, I suggest you equip yourself with an online guide so as to better appreciate the visit. don't ignore the excellently restored old church

Historical and well maintained 16th century church. The sacred place is well-patronised by the locals. The church buildings are adorned in beautiful murals that tell biblical stories. Worth a visit especially if a practitioner of the faith. Easily accessible on foot from Sinaia town centre with road access to the front entrance.

The casino in Sinaia was built in 1912 and has since hosted a variety of cultural events. It is now an International Conference Center that offers a great view of the city and the Bucegi Mountains.
Situated in the city park, the Casino is a historic place well worth visiting. Symbol of the golden period of the city, it still retains after all these years the original atmosphere. The tour included a temporary exhibition and also a very nice lady telling with great charm the story of the place.

A beautiful building at the end of the city park. It was built in 1912 at the initiative of King Carol the 1st. It was a major attraction in the period between the two world wars. Now, it's being used as an international conference center.
Явор Камберов — Google review
An imposing building with a very interesting history, but the tour felt short and we would have enjoyed seeing more of it's interesting parts, not just hear about them (like the secret tunnel). However, it's an impressive structure and the decorations have been preserved, we enjoyed the time spent here. The art galley is also a nice respiro from the outside world.
Alexandru Cherascu — Google review
If you get the chance to visit this casino please do! Sometimes it holds events or it's rented for weddings, baptisms etc.. You can check the availability online prior to your visit. You can also find here a small cafe and a little art gallery that displays a few paintings. The guide is included in the 20 lei fee and tells you a few interesting facts about the place. In front of the casino there's a nice little park.

Beautiful building, there is a guided tour which is always a good option. There are some parts closed to the public and the open ones are too empty; they should try to recreate the casino atmosphere even by virtual projections.

A very nice and interesting building, full of history and well known (especially in the past) by important people from different countries. The guide is very important, I mean more than 50 percent for sure, because it"s not an interactive place...maybe this they should improve. (For example, I would play some old music in the theatre room to introduce people in the atmosphere)

I really loved this place, the entrance fee is 15 ron for adults and 10 for students. There is a guide that you go around with and tells about the history of this place, she is very nice and professional. You can take a lot of pictures and it is okay, compared to other places in ROMANIA. Definitely worth a visit, however it is kind of cold inside so take some warm clothes.

Clean, relaxing, and well kept park. For the kids, there is a big bouncy slide, trampolines, and a carousel as well as a playground in the park. Bring your own water thought since I paid 6 Ron for a small bottle at a small kiosk nearby. The same bottle is half that at the supermarket. Our 4 year old had lots of fun though so we will be visiting here daily during our stay in Sinaia.

The George Enescu Memorial Museum is a museum in Sinaia, Romania, dedicated to the life and work of George Enescu. The museum contains items from the composer's life and work, as well as materials from his residency in Sinaia. It is one of the most visited museums in Romania.
[visited several times after 2007, most recently in 2019] Called Vila Luminiș, the house is very beautiful, both inside and out, classy in an unpretentious way - a much more modest building than the Cantacuzino Palace in close-by Bușteni, to which this house is connected via Enescu’s wife. Small musical events happen periodically on the ground floor (at least they used in pre-pandemic times).
Vlad Sabau — Google review
Interesting story with audio guide. The ladies are very nice and also provide some additional information. The tour was short. If you're in Sinaia, it can be worth a visit for art lovers. Every 26th of the month is free entrance.

Not sure if it was because it was a Sunday just before closing but the tour seemed very abbreviated. And the piano as of this moment (May 2023) was away for conservation. But an interesting house and some nice items. Suggest reading up on Enescu first as you won't learn a lot here.

Very interesting to see the house he visited yearly for I believe over 20 years. The brunette lady was extremely knowledgeable and helpful but was put off by the tone and attitude of the second lady (blonde) who seemed to talk down on us and rushed us out of the building. My friends left as they were completely put off by her.

The museum is devoted to the greatest romanian composer, George Enescu. You can glimpse into his past and get to see where he lived and performed for a part of his life. Entrance is quite cheap and it's well worth to make a stop.

Unfortunately it was closes when we arrived. But we could see from outside how beautiful old building it is
Kasun Eranga — Google review
Please be aware that the last tour starts at 4:30pm. A minute after and they close shop and nobody is allowed inside the memorial house. However, what I know about the memorial house is that it belonged to the greatest Romanian musical composer of all times who built it for three years from 1923 and 1926 and named it Luminis which means clearing in Romanian. In 1947, since he had already been living in Paris at the time, he donated the castle to the Romanian state. His statue from outside the building is done by Ion Irimescu sculptor from Fălticeni.

Great location, excellent service (by Daniel the nice waiter) and delicious food. We were a table of 6+4 kids. Ordered the entire menu (more or less..) and everything was on time and of the highest quality! Definitely the best restaurant we visited in Romania!!!

Terrific restaurant right across the street from the cable car in Sinaia. We stopped here 2 times this weekend once for dinner and had the most wonderful dinner with close friends. We tried tomatoes and cheese, cabbage salad, beautiful fresh baked bread with melted cheese and onion, soup, pasta, beef, and I had fresh trout with au gratin potatoes. Our waiter was Stephen and he was a great addition to a delicious meal. The whole restaurant is warm and welcoming with hand painted decor and natural wood accents all around. Our lunch experience Sunday wasn’t as memorable with a younger man not so experienced in his field of hospitality. However the food was delicious as before. We all had warm soup full of chicken and noodles. We ordered another loaf of the warm bread and took a couple pieces home. The parking was easy both visits. They have outdoor seating if you are a smoker or can stand sitting around smoking citizens. I cannot say enough about this Snow Restaurant and look forward to my next time through Sinaia to try more of the menu. I’d also like to see how the young waiter matures. Thanks!!!

This was one of our favorite places in Sinaia and we would always eat here when visiting the city. But on our last visit we were disappointed. The place was rather empty, service was slow and they barely took our order. The food was average, lacking the flavors we were used to. The Wiener schnitzel was very oily. The ribs were not tender enough and the taste was poor, they came with mashed potatoes which had an oily texture. We also ordered the spätzle with bacon and sour cabbage, they were fine. Most of the red wines were not available, we also ordered water and had to remind them at least twice to bring it. We will definitely not return.

Very, very good food. Now I m sorry I did not snap a pic of the taramosalata and the beans stew (iahnie) off the hook. We ended up to this restaurant because we did not find a parking spot somewhere else, but it was for the best surprise one could have. Very good food, highly recommend, good service as well and clean facilities. This is on my list to return. No joke, want to try more of the menu.

We didn't have reservation, but we found a free table, however it was too close to the exit and it was cold there. The waiter proposed to take that one with promise to move us to a better table once it will be free. This is what indeed happened and we appreciated that. We ordered the food and in few minutes I decided to order one more thing as second dish. Now the waiter asked when do we want to bring us the food. We said to bring it to all of us at the same time. He was confused when he should bring the 2nd dish I ordered and it was obvious for us to bring it once I finish the 1st one. He seemed a bit annoyed by our answer. The food came after more than 40 minutes. People who arrived after us were already eating... Even though what we ordered was already prepared (like soups)...finally we received the food which was ok. At the end the waiter was trying to be funny, but I overall didn't enjoy having lunch there. It was also cold inside.

Very cosy and nice place. The music is perfect and the decorations make the whole place really warm and welcoming. The food is not the tastiest but the portions are really large (like the crispy chicken burger). Overall a nice experience with nice people

Good food and not a long waiting time! Fair prices. I highly recommend the fries with garlic and herbs! The pasta and soup also delicious 🤤

It was absolutely great. The staff was very friendly, food arrived fast, and it was delicious and incredibly fresh. Another nice touch is a house for a stray cat they keep outside.

The food was great, very tasty! Prices are okay for the location. The upper terace was a bit of a mess, but i would definetly come back for the food. I recommend the lava cake also!

Beautifully decorated. We've been here a few times on different occasions. The quality was constant. The food is good, but not spectacular. The service is good, although one of the winters could be more friendly. I don't say he's not nice, but sometimes he seems bothered by some requests. I guess it's just his way, but some people might misinterpret it. The bean soup I ordered today came warm and I would have preferred it hot. I'd rather wait for the soup to cool down to the right temperature, than to hurry up to eat it before it gets cold. The cheese spätzle was not wow, but the Guiness burger was tasty. I remember we had good schnitzel in the past, here.

This restaurant was all-around WONDERFUL. I absolutely recommend lunch here if you are in Sinaia, going to Peles Castle, or just driving through. We tried 4 different dishes - all were phenomenal. Service was great; efficient, quick, classy and professional. Sitting on the deck was so lovely; the restaurant has a roof that they can electronically open when the weather is nice.

After searching for a bite to eat in Sinaia and being turned away from other places either due to prices, smoking on the patio or atmosphere we ended up at Snow. And we were so happy we stopped there to eat. From the door the hostess welcomed us and seated us inside. The decor is really unique - all the chairs and furniture is hand painted. The food is beyond tasty and the service is 10+. Our waiter was understanding we were travelling with non-native speakers, knowledgeable and very kind. His food suggestions and pairings were absolutely fantastic. WE also travelled with an elderly person and the waiter was very accommodating and patient. My son ordered their double cheeseburger and declared it is by far the best he ever ate. I ordered a grilled trout which was absolutely melting in my mouth. I would recommend SNOW for foods, service, atmosphere.

I had schnitzel in a crust with seeds and a lemonade. the portion was generous. I came here on the recommendation of a local and I did not regret it. their terrace is full of flowers, with a pleasant atmosphere, a very interesting interior with painted furniture. clean bathroom with custom furniture. good service, i recommend

I recently had the pleasure of taking my lunch at a restaurant in Sinaia, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The food served was exceptionally good and absolutely delicious. From the first bite to the last, each dish was filled with flavors that left a lasting impression. The service was top-notch as well. Our waitress was highly attentive and made sure all our needs were met promptly. She brought us everything we requested with remarkable speed and a friendly smile, enhancing the overall experience. One of the highlights of the restaurant was its spacious terrace. The ample seating area allowed us to relax comfortably while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of Sinaia. It added a touch of tranquility to our meal, making it even more enjoyable. When it comes to the prices, I found them to be reasonable and on par with the average for Sinaia in this particular year. Considering the quality of the food, service, and ambiance, I believe the value for money is excellent. In conclusion, I am thoroughly impressed with this restaurant and its offerings. The combination of delectable food, attentive service, and a relaxing terrace makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone, and without a doubt, my friends and I will return here in the future for more memorable dining experiences.

Forest is a restaurant located in the beautiful mountains of Sinaia, Romania. It has been open for over 8 years and continues to provide delicious food and service to its guests. It is known for its Mediterranean cuisine, which features a wide variety of dishes from all around the world. The restaurant also offers a variety of wines, beers, and cocktails to complement your meal. Forest is perfect for those who want to enjoy a romantic evening out or an amazing family feasttogether.
We showed up at 1:00. Not a normal time for most people here, so we were the only ones and got full attention. We usually chase Beard's Award in Oregon. I must say: we would gladly go back as often as we could. ( We had venison and bass. The pickled mushrooms were a wonderful nuance. ). I think we might change our picking process to how much it cost rather than how much people say they like it because everybody .... likes some - thing..... But very few people cook this well. Thank you, Elena.

We went there with the kids after a tiring trail walk as the place was highly recommended as being kids friendly. The food was tasty, can't complain about that, the kids plates were cute and the portions appropriate but the prices.... the most expensive lunch we had in Sinaia. An orange / lemon fresh was 30 Ron,a small refreshing beverage was 15, salmon fillet with zucchini was 115, a beef salad was 90 and the pasta with mozzarella and schnitzel with fries were each 50 ron. Women's bathroom is very small and weirdly arranged so it's difficult to open the door when you're inside. They have tables outside as well, arranged nicely and a small play area.
Corina Lazar — Google review
Ordered a beef salad… the beef was ok but the rest of it…completely bad. I am shocked how you can fail a salad to this level.. we also had duck breast and that was ok but still mediocre. Also the bruschettas.. unacceptable for this price range, my boyfriend was making better bruschettas when he was 12. The waiter was rude and weird as well.

I'm giving it only 3 stars because of the prices. They are huge even for well-paid Romanians. They are greater than in extremely fancy places downtown Bucharest. Although the location is beautiful, the food is really good, and the staff quite well trained... for me it's not worth going a second time.
Ana Baity — Google review
Terrible food and very expensive (more expensive than a michelin restaurant in the heart of Barcelona!) , we had two different meals and waited a long time to be served, although there were no other clients eating: risotto with mushrooms and duck leg with cabbage and all the way back home had to stop in gas stations because of cramps and very bad stomach problems. Good we didn’t end up in the hospital.. For such enormous prices the food should be excellent.. if at least be mediocre but NOT dangerous! Also the waiter was rude, aggresive and very weird! Shame on you, FOREST restaurant!
Roxana Fratila — Google review
The restaurant is fancy an it is specialy designed place that looks like a foerst/jungle camp with semi priavte dining zones. The menu has a lot of variety of food but the prices depends on what you order but are a bit expensive for that area. We had two dinners at this restaurant and the food from the first dinner was good, nothing special, but at the second dinner the ribs were cold. The desert instead are very good!
Alex Vasilescu — Google review
The location is nice, especially the garden, but the kids playground is overrated in their description, the toys are not clean and broken. My 4 year old had nothing to play with there. But the food is good,I recommend the ribs! But the prices are too high compared with the food quality. Overall, it was ok for a over time only. We don't plan to go back there.
Daria Virbanescu — Google review
Certain dishes have been better than they are now, others have kept their tastiness. All soups and sour soups are very flavoury. Do not skip desert and try mango pancakes, they are heavenly! The restaurant design is very foresty, very cosy, major points for building it to incorporate the forest, not cut it. They have the best breakfast ever - pleasing both for the palate and the eye! There used to be rabbits running beneath and through the restaurant which was major cuteness, maybe you could bring this back soon. The service is very good! The prices are high but you know what you pay for. Do enjoy!

First is the design - tables at different levels, partitions and decorations, more privacy then in regular restaurant. Next is 115 page menu - from rare delicatecy to very interesting, yet affordable, items. Service quality - it's almost like having private waiter.

We want to this villa / hotel boutique because of the high number of recommendations. Our expectations were quite high before reaching there. Unfortunately, it was such a mediocre expensive experience. Let us start with the room. We booked a room for 1 night (not their most expensive one). Once we checked in, we quickly learned that one of the room windows was directly connected with the terrace of another room. This raised two major issues: 1. The above mentioned terrace was used by smoking persons to smoke !!!!. 2. Noisy Ok, let us move on to the restaurant. We had a reservation for two persons. When we reached the restaurant, there was nobody at the entrance to lead us to the table. We had to wait approx 5 minutes until someone showed up. Once we were seated, we had to wait approx 15 mins to receive the menus. In the end, we managed to order two steaks and some dessert. Regarding the steaks, there was nothing out of the ordinary. The overall dinner experience was fine, but in no way this is a "fine dining" place (even though it is advertised as one). We asked for the check and charge it on the room. The next day, when we checked out, 80 eur extra were added on the check. Their explanation: someone at the restaurant forgot to charge some of the items on your order. Root cause: all the steaks on their menu are listed with the finite weight you end up paying for except the Rib Eye (charged per 100 g, but nowhere mentioned in the menu). Nevertheless, they don't bother informing you upfront about this. In summary, try to avoid this overpriced mediocre hotel boutique/villa.

The restaurant Tirol is located in Hotel International Sinaia, where you can enjoy Tyrolean cuisine with views of the city. Some of the stand out dishes include Austrian veal schnitzel, beef tenderloin cooked on a hot stone, apple strudel and more. Each meal comes with great views of the main avenue and bustling city center.
Nice Tyrolean style restaurant right in the International hotel. Food was really tasty, nothing spectacular, other that the deserts, which were amazing The service was top quality, the employees being very attentive and extremely nice with us. Really a big thumbs up for them. Atmosphere - amazing. There was live music, extremely good and welcoming. Would come again for sure to taste other dishes. Not too crowded, however we understood that reservation is needed during wekeends

One of our best experience with diner restaurants. Gourgeaus view, extraordinary meals and best services. An unforgetable atmosphere and for sure, when will have a new opportunity, will come back. Recommend!

We had the dinner here, they have a big variety in menu, based mainly on meat, given the specific. We have chosen the 1st dish from the menu based on salmon and some vegetables and trout fillet fried with some spicy souce, probably that's why we weren't very satisfied. It was below our expectations, no taste in the fish. It's a nice place, good staff, but don't deserve more than 4 stars for now. With the mention, dishes based on meat could be at a superiour level.

Very bad experience, with all the hype it had I really don't understand why to be honest. Expensive menu for boring food ,the server was horrible not talking, throwing the menu on us?! We had "2 camembert " it was litteraly 3 little bites with a salad with no sauce nothing we payed almost 20€ ??! The waiting was soooooooo long. Additionally, we asked for soup appropriately it was only for lunch and fondu they didnt have it. We only knew when we ordered but as a good server you should say it at the beginning while bringing the menus.... In conclusion I do not recommend. Very bad experience and very disappointing. Never again.

Place mimicking the Swiss interiors. Service was good and quick, we ordered chicken and duck. The duck dish was fine, the chicken one was dry and not so good. For this pricepoint it should have been better.

Overrated, the food is not that good. I had a baked pork chop with cabbage and the meat was very dry and salty. I ate less than half of the portion. Only the Schnitzel was good. The service was impeccable, but we would have preferred that everyone's food was good, considering the prices of the dishes.

The best snitzel, love the desserts, the team is super. Also, u need to make a reservation, usually fully booked, but the tables have decent space between them, so you have ur privacy.
Ginga Sinziana — Google review
Despite the very professional waiters and amazing dishes, I am giving only 2 stars to this beautiful place because of the waiters’ ignorance towards many many guests who were entering the place without masks or were not wearing them when leaving the tables. I found this very disappointing (as the resto prides itself with taking a lot of measures anti covid) and also disrespectful towards all the guests who respect the rules and want to eat in a safe place
Liana — Google review
It was ok, but the waitress was a little upset because I asked her twice the same thing, and she almost yelled at me. We reserved a table near the window and they gave us a table near the door. They didn’t have bear and deer, what we wanted to try, no game at all, although the menu is full of game meat. In the end we got lamb and duck and they were ok. The desert was also ok, but the fruit ice cream was not very good for me. My friend liked it though.

The Serbian restaurant Taverna Sârbului is a great place to have a delicious and filling meal. The cuisine is very diverse, with dishes that can be sweet or savory, but always tasty. The prices are high for the offer, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Food excellent, as always at Taverna Sârbului, but I asked the waiter to leave a menu on the table for my 1 year old to look at and he was like "Why, does she already know how to read?", took the menu and left. I mean ok, i can understand a ton of petty excuses to take it, but that was simply rude and unprovoked. He later brought a paper straw for her to pay with, as my staring at him probably made him understand he was out of line, but still a bad experience.

Incredibly small parking ( maybe 20 car spaces) for the size of this huge restaurant ( maybe 400 seats ). Food and atmosphere not as many years ago, maybe this restaurant is not trendy anymore and I can understand why.... I was surprised by the waiter demand to pay only cash, hopefully they have only romanian customers and not too many foreigners visiting Romania.

The number of reviews and score definitely reflects this place. Our bistro is a delicious amalgam of many tastes. It's constantly evolving in response to the ever-changing needs of our guests. It might not seem like it at first glance, but our chef knows what (and how) to serve up a great meal to anyone's taste. We have a wide menu that reflects the multicultural food scene of Sinaia. From Asia to Europe, there's something for everyone on our menu.

4.9/5 excellent place. A hidden gem. Just a heads up they're reservation only and they charge you a deposit in advance for your seat in case you don't show up or cancel without telling them. But let me tell you, this restaurant is a michelin star candidate; every dish is superb! And the ambiance and service is fantastic. They make every dish from scratch. We had the fondue, marinated chicken, onion soup, duck breast, and pumpkin soup and each item was fantastic. The duck and chicken was soo tender and of high quality meat. It was soo good. The onion soup and pumpkin soup was superb too. It was pricey but worth it. The owners are su h awesome ppl too. Highly recommend!
