It's a marvelous building. Unique and breathtaking. It takes about an hour to visit the entire palace. Very nice staff, they let us visit the top floors despite being slightly late! As an architect I really adore this castle. Nearly every room embodies a different historical style, one could practically teach architectural history by touring it. The outside is gorgeous as well, with a well decorated garden and excellent mountain view. Strongly recommend.

Skip Sinaia Monastery and Bran Castle and do this instead. The walk from the parking lot is a bit long so make sure you account for that. 100% recommend!

The downside is that some rooms are not open like the theater room which is amazing in pictures, and the fact that most descriptions are not translated in English and other languages

A very disappointing experience. After we bought a parking permit for 5 Euros and received no ticket or other proof of payment, we walked up to the castle. A long way with no resting places, no benches, or other possibilities to sit down and rest. Outside the castle, in the surrounding area, some buildings are better looking than others. You can immediately see that the restaurants and cafes are somehow limited to price, offer, and space. Positive: it is a national cultural treasure built by the Romanian nation, now re-owned by the former royal family who used to rule the country. Negative: the administration of this place with all the sides and effects of such lousy management. Suggestions: the entry ticket should include in the price the entire castle and not just a part. You have to pay more than double to visit the other sections, which is wrong. Recommend: it depends! If you haven't visited it before, yes, you should see it. If you did, don't mess up your good memories.

It is a magnificent Castle with its surrounding buildings and Garden. They charge a separate fee per floor to visit the castle. I'm warning you in advance. Don't waste money on the top floor (floor 2). I'm uploading the photos of all floors. Please check. The other two floors (I mean option 1 ticket) are more than enough. The castle closes at 17.00, but ticket sales end at about 16.00. Check out the photos I've uploaded regarding ticket prices and hours. Parking is 30 lei.

Beautiful castle, outside and inside. Perfect location as well, natural place, nice promenade to the castle. Luxurious piece of architectural and historical jewlery. Be careful and leave the area before the night comes, as bears might appear, there is forest all around and brown bears sometimes come lured by the trash bins.

One of the most beautiful castles I have ever been to. The king lived here in the beginning of the 20th century, and that really shows! The interior is worth a visit for sure - there are exquisitely preserved rooms, with a fantastic range of styles.

Great castle. Loved all the wood throughout and the mixture of cultures seen throughout the art and furniture pieces. Not a huge castle, can get done in 15-30min. I would recommend bringing a student ID card even if you're coming from overseas, the discount is a great deal.

It's worth planning an entire day for this visit because there's so much to see and do. First, you'll need to walk up for about 20 minutes, especially if you're unlucky and have to park your car farther down. However, this uphill walk through the forest on a cobblestone path is quite pleasant. Once you ascend, you can grab a snack like boiled or fried corn and apples in a sweet red syrup, so you don't need to worry about skipping lunch. Pro tip: When you spot the castle, you can take a shortcut by crossing the grassy area leading to it. Not many people do this, but it saves you time, and you can overtake those following the predefined road. Upon reaching the castle, you should get your tickets, and they don't mind whether you purchased them online or not; everyone goes through the same line. The prices are 59 for the first floor, 100 for the second, and 150 for the third. We opted for the first and second floors, which proved to be more than sufficient. Consider bringing your student ID as it may get you a discount. The castle is stunning and incredibly interesting to explore, well worth the money. However, by the end of the second floor, you might start to feel a bit tired, and you'll notice similar things, so it's perfectly fine to stop there. The castle's garden is also exceptionally beautiful and offers plenty of photo opportunities. Additionally, there's a souvenir shop on-site. If you are short on time it is worth just exploring the exterior and avoiding the museum unless you really want to see it.

Be advised that whatever road you take you'll get there via long and winding B roads (as usual for so many places in Romania). The bar restaurant just outside the castle sells overpriced ice cream, better go into town (there's a Lidl).

Incredible castle. The detailed craftsmanship in each room is just astounding. I loved seeing the different styles in each room. We went with a guide and had limited time but if I went again I'd add on the optional second floor to see more. We also went to Pelisor, and recommend doing that - it can be seen quickly if you have limited time.

The Castle itself was unfortunately closed when we went to visit, however we were still allowed to walk in the grounds. It was one of the first castles I ever visited that is actually beautiful and a place you would actually want to live in. It was extremely beautiful. The colours, the statues, the details in architecture... I wish it was open so we could have seen the inside which I can only assume would have been just as magnificent. Will definitely visit again soon.

Very beautiful site. The interiors were all closed in february and, we were told, had queues for hours in summer. The exterior is very beautiful and feels like a slice of Bavaria in Romania. There is a small coffee shop and souvenir shop. The paths are steep and would a challenge for a wheelchair user as they are cobbled. Really enjoyed our visit but i do recommend having a guide.

There are actually 2 monasteries here, a really old one (tiny, but cool…) & a bigger one built hundreds of years later. The museum was unfortunately closed when I came (Covid? Winter? Not sure…but maybe check ahead…), but the setting (gorgeous snow-covered mountains) & the monasteries themselves are certainly worth the visit. Apparently built as a sort of “tribute” to the holy men who helped hide one of Transylvania’s exiled leaders while he was on the run. When he regained power, he funded the construction as a “thank you”. Built on the site where one of the priests/ monks apparently had a holy vision. Interesting & historic spot!

Beautiful monastery and something I didn't really plan on seeing when visiting Sinaia (did a day trip from Braşov to see the Peleş Castle). If you are coming from the Sinaia train station, the bus that goes to Peleş castle also passes by this monastery. I highly recommend you stop by this place too, it's such a tranquil place with a small but pretty garden. I wasn't able to go to the museum though, it had closed by the time I visited. So I just saw the main church and grounds but enough for some beautiful photos!

It’s an unmissable visiting opportunity if you are in Sinaia. Mainly it’s about the old and new church, the tomb of Take Ionescu, Romanian PM after WWI, along with the old walls and ongoing enlargements of the court, park etc.

It's a lovely monastery and there's parking right outside. It's also very near the castle so it's basically a 2 for 1.

Really quaint monastery with a few monks still present and working the courtyard gardens. The original, smaller church and the larger new one are both very interesting to look at in their own right to see how religious art has evolved and become more sophisticated in the past few hundred years

Rainy day didn’t help the place but it was calm and tranquil. The frescoes are amazing, shane it was very dim inside the main church.

3 stars. And this is why: The interior is nice. But from start you have 2 beggers that will contact you when you go in and out. One of them surely was under drugs. If they bothered me, they will bother others also. Clearly somebody from administration knows they are there. Second, inside the monastetry there is a red cord that is ment to stop you to go further. When a church does that, is not a church. So you can do what i did, walk in, take photos where you like, feel sick and get out. Amin!

Quiet place. You can visit inside the old monastery and surroundings. There is also a museum inside the church grounds.

Skippable. Unless you’re here for a religious visit, the monastery doesn’t offer much as a tourist attraction. Peleş Castle is definitely a better use of your time in Sinaia. The monastery is much like other smaller monasteries in Bucharest with little description of its historical significance.

There is little information on site regarding the monastery and its function, ditto for the description of the various works inside, I suggest you equip yourself with an online guide so as to better appreciate the visit. don't ignore the excellently restored old church

To go up in Bucegi, tou need to see first Busteni. In this city you can have a beatiful view with the mountains but is a big traffic.

Nice mountains, they can be a bit harsh; there are some dangerous trails on these mountains so make sure you follow the signs and don't go by yourself as it's easy to get lots, and also consider calling the salvamont in case of danger. Beware of stray dogs, they can be dangerous.

Love mountains and forests and these ones are beautiful. Great adventure to try to see some bears. Apparently there are many of them.

Look for the secret cave, it was possibly used by Annunaki, during the millennium war, ancient astronomers were found there.The US military was able to break through the magnetic field. Huge stones , artifacts, are awesome, must see, bring your nonbeliever friends

Worst experience ever. The cable is very weak, the slopes are not clean and the cable stops even if it isn’t THAT windy. They won’t charge you back. Don’t waste your ski-time in Sinaia. Also, overpriced compared to the conditions from other countries.

Gondola Sinaia offers a breathtaking journey up to 2000 meters for 95 RON. The panoramic views are worth the cost, especially for first-timers. However, be cautious of wind pressure during the ascent. Overall, a memorable experience with stunning landscapes, but brace yourself for the gusts! #GondolaSinaia

It is a very beautiful place with a lot of trails for bikes and people.The stuff is very rude and very challenging. Unfortunately they don’t put much time in upgrading the trails and they don’t care about costumers. Once I stayed 4 hours in line at cote 1400,becase they were to lazy to wake up in the morning and repair the installation.

Gondola Sinaia is the reason to stop coming to ski in Romania. Today Friday they have deactivated the possibility to buy half day pass. Ok, it's school holiday and I do agree to pay weekend price but not limit online tickets! This is so stupid! Or the person that took such decission is very stupid. This is the respect you show to your customers. This is the 2nd time being tricked by Gondola Sinaia but for sure the last one for me! The first time I had recovered my money back only after a complaint to ANPC. 0 respect for customers. You exist because of your customers!

Great experience,although I'm not a fan of heights. 1400-2000 "bit" was the most spectacular especially when it reaches the highest point from the ground. Is a must if you get to Sinaia.

A must when you go to Sinaia. The view is amazing and if you have the energy you can do great hiking. Not cheap if you do both ways and to the top, but still worth it.

Perfect place for who likes 🎿, on 1400 m there is a great restaurant, and on 2000 m awesome view point! Recommend!

Very well maintained cable car, little bit expensive. Pay attention it can be reached by car to the 1400 point, but it's worthwhile to make it to the 2000 summit using cable car anyway, where the views are wonderful.

Newer lift in Sinaia, allows you to sit down. Austrian made. No idea why they need two lifts going into the same place though; if you're traveling on a budget take the cheaper yet older telecabina. If you're looking for safety and comfort take this one. Either way the view from the top in summer isn't worth much; there is no infrastructure, just a construction site at the Hilltop!,

A beautiful building at the end of the city park. It was built in 1912 at the initiative of King Carol the 1st. It was a major attraction in the period between the two world wars. Now, it's being used as an international conference center.

An imposing building with a very interesting history, but the tour felt short and we would have enjoyed seeing more of it's interesting parts, not just hear about them (like the secret tunnel). However, it's an impressive structure and the decorations have been preserved, we enjoyed the time spent here. The art galley is also a nice respiro from the outside world.

If you get the chance to visit this casino please do! Sometimes it holds events or it's rented for weddings, baptisms etc.. You can check the availability online prior to your visit. You can also find here a small cafe and a little art gallery that displays a few paintings. The guide is included in the 20 lei fee and tells you a few interesting facts about the place. In front of the casino there's a nice little park.

Beautiful building, there is a guided tour which is always a good option. There are some parts closed to the public and the open ones are too empty; they should try to recreate the casino atmosphere even by virtual projections.

A very nice and interesting building, full of history and well known (especially in the past) by important people from different countries. The guide is very important, I mean more than 50 percent for sure, because it"s not an interactive place...maybe this they should improve. (For example, I would play some old music in the theatre room to introduce people in the atmosphere)

I really loved this place, the entrance fee is 15 ron for adults and 10 for students. There is a guide that you go around with and tells about the history of this place, she is very nice and professional. You can take a lot of pictures and it is okay, compared to other places in ROMANIA. Definitely worth a visit, however it is kind of cold inside so take some warm clothes.

Located in the city center, this casino is very well preserved. The guided tour was very nice, the guide was very friendly and provided us various informations. Definitely recommend it!

This is a fascinating combination of nature and human labor. It looks like faith in life, because there are tons of rocks above this church. This cave, church and the walk up to this place are inspiring.

Beautiful cave with stream inside of it. The water is amazing! So clean and pure. The path is well lit and the stairs are pretty steep in some places but it is worth it, so go inside take a helmet if you afraid to bang your head in some low places and enjoy the cool.

I had actually headed to Bucegi National Park to see the Sphinx but I got there later in the day and ran into a family that suggested the cave. That was a great suggestion! It is massive and beautiful! Getting there was somewhat of an interesting endeavor. You can park at the end of the road that leads there (before the small bridge). Then you start walking on the gravel road but it ends abruptly and you might not be quite sure where to go. You have to be on the left side of the stream. There and fallen trees and one section had a couple of boards to cross. You will make it back to a road again and it will lead directly up to the cave. Entrance is only 10 Lei (about $2.50). I know it seems silly at first but the helmet is a great idea because I bumped my head more than once in low areas. They provide you bonnets (to be sanitary) and hard hats at the mouth of the cave. Once you enter there are paths and stairways that lead to the upper and lower parts of the cave. I probably explored for about an hour. There is a small waterfall in the lower part where the water is believed to have healing properties. All in all really beautiful. You can end your experience taking a peak at chapel at the entrance which is part of the monastery I believe.

Not only this cave is beautiful by itself, but it’s very well arranged for tourists to have an immersive experience. The unique combination of nature, history and religion was for me transformational. Throughout the journey and mostly in St Mary’s room, with water flowing everywhere from the walls you feel special. No place for disbeliefs and doubts here. You just live the full spiritual experience. The cave hosts events such as The Jazz Cave Festival early in July. Just imagine how beautiful this can be.

Jaw-dropping cave with passage ways where you have to duck and watch your head. Giant room at one point. The fresh water spring from within is breathtaking. Pictures cannot portray the real dimension of both tiny and huge spaces from within. Make sure to wear the free helmets available at the entrance!

Great place to see, a bit challenging if you are accompanied by small children - there are some paths where you should pay attentions specially if it's wet. Should definitely be promoted more as it is a very interesting natural site to see in the Peștera area. Be patient as the way is narrowing and as you have lots of steps to climb. Better to visit in summer as you are dressed lightly - at winter it's more difficult as you are layered and heavier. A place to see.

This cave has been completely renovated and it has stairs along the entire cave. First of all, you will arrive in front of a monastery gate entrance, you can buy souvenirs and you will also have to purchase a ticket before being able to get in the cave. The ticket costs 10 ron. You will have to wear one of those hair nets and then wear a helmet that ccan be found on a sort of a table. The helmet is not necessary but I do highly recommend it, you might hit your head otherwise. Some parts of the cave have a low level and you need to bend to cross them. The cave total length opened to visit is about 400m. Inside the cave you can see a waterfall, a big dome and a praying shrine.

The best cave I visited, really huge, ceiling is short in some places, and the path is narrow. Better to take something to cover head as the water drops heavily in some places. You can light a candle in the church at the entrance.

The inside of the cave is very well structured with stairs and at the entrance they offer a helmet for more narrow and lower parts.

Very well organized. Impressive cave, it's definitely worth visiting. You get a helmet to protect your head of the low ceiling areas. The visit is unguided, but easy to navigate. At the route there is a freshwater spring - supposedly the purest spring water in Romania. There is also a waterfall on a side route. Unfortunately people are throwing money in the water pools, polluting with plastic and metal. At the base, close to the parking lot, you can find traditional food stalls. The road to the location is not the best, but they are working on it.

It was a awesome experience, you can go inside the cave up to 480m from 1228m, really easy. All the way secured with metal pedestal. They even provide you with protective helmets before you go inside for the areas where it is quite narrow. Important will be to have a rainy jacket with you, also on top of that the temperature inside is quite low around 8-10 degrees Celsius.

Interesting cave made well accessible with proper steps, handrails and lighting. It will help to have the story told through speakers in other languages as well.

It's a shame to charge so many people a lot of money and not have a functional toilet, even for Romania. I'm sorry to give only a 1-star review, but this is unacceptable for such an important place to have no toilet. 😑

We did not expect the cave to be so large. It is very beautiful inside but you need to be careful as some passages are very narrow and some stairs are slippery. We reached the waterfall inside the cave but never found the exit. I believe it was somewhere up the stairs but it was too steep for our daughter to climb and she was scared too, so we just turned back and exited from the place we entered.

Interesting story with audio guide. The ladies are very nice and also provide some additional information. The tour was short. If you're in Sinaia, it can be worth a visit for art lovers. Every 26th of the month is free entrance.

Not sure if it was because it was a Sunday just before closing but the tour seemed very abbreviated. And the piano as of this moment (May 2023) was away for conservation. But an interesting house and some nice items. Suggest reading up on Enescu first as you won't learn a lot here.

Very interesting to see the house he visited yearly for I believe over 20 years. The brunette lady was extremely knowledgeable and helpful but was put off by the tone and attitude of the second lady (blonde) who seemed to talk down on us and rushed us out of the building. My friends left as they were completely put off by her.

A beautiful house, full of history and with an amazing view! I highly recommend visiting it and pairing it with the Peles and Cantacuzino castles. I would like to recommend one suggestion for improvement and that is to work on giving more informed and enthusiastic tours of the house!

The museum is devoted to the greatest romanian composer, George Enescu. You can glimpse into his past and get to see where he lived and performed for a part of his life. Entrance is quite cheap and it's well worth to make a stop.

Please be aware that the last tour starts at 4:30pm. A minute after and they close shop and nobody is allowed inside the memorial house. However, what I know about the memorial house is that it belonged to the greatest Romanian musical composer of all times who built it for three years from 1923 and 1926 and named it Luminis which means clearing in Romanian. In 1947, since he had already been living in Paris at the time, he donated the castle to the Romanian state. His statue from outside the building is done by Ion Irimescu sculptor from Fălticeni.

When looking for tourist information, disinformation is worse than no information. And that is what we found here. - told peles castle was closed on the day after labor day. It was open. - ski lifts were open for skiing. The ski season had already finished and there were no skiers on the slopes. - the gondola didn't open until 12pm, but it was running all day and we saw people on the 1145am lift. - we asked for information on any tours in the local area and he said there were none. - he said the restaurant was open at the top of the mountain. It was closed. He might as well have closed the shop and put up a sign saying "take a look online". This must be in the running for worst tourist information in Romania!

I have never met someone who seems so arrogant and unwilling to support and actually help within the tourist industry. Just spend the time on Google at least you won't get an attitude. Simply wonderful! I've been in contact with Paul, who has been incredibly helpful offering expertise on different hikes and where to stay. These guys are truly an asset to Romania and without them I likely would not be coming to visit.

This place is worthless. They have a hiking map of the area but don't sell it. The guy was rude and almost all of the information he gave us turned out to be wrong. Cabana's that he said were closed were open and vice versa. Also he basically told us all the ideas we had were stupid without offering any alternatives. I'd recommend quickly stepping in to take a picture of the map and then going up to cabana Padina, the people there are super nice and helped us much more than the guy at the tourist information did.

The lady at the information center told me to take a bus T2 to the Gandola instead of walking. She said walking is 2 hours. According to google map is was 39 min to walk. Unfortunately, i took the bus cause i wanted to save time. Apparently the bus is completely filled with elderly people, mothers with strollers, even bicycles and it goes all around Sinaia. After 40 min on the bus i came back where i started my trip. I would have been riding a Gandola by that time if i walked. It takes a lot more time by bus than by feet, and of course, its not a pleasant experience. After all it was a 1 hour bus ride. I also asked her how long it will take to walk down from 2000m. Cause i wanted to take a gandola up and walk back down. She said 5 hours! Really! 5 hours maybe if i have one leg, still would be faster. I dont understand why she advises to take public transport and increases time travelling by foot. But dont listen to her and dont be scared. Its much better to walk arpund Sinaia on a beautiful day

Excellent romanian food, very good pizza and lemonade. In centre of Sinaia.

Don't get too excited. The place where you can cater to your bare necessities. It's OK. Not WOW. After all, the area is not well developed and the people there rely only on tourism to make a living. And guess what, the state is not very interested in growing that area in particular. However, you can find some nice restaurants around this shopping center where the food is good. But value the journey not the destination. It's the right mindset so you won't get disappointed eventually.

The whole commercial complex is as big as expected, because it's not a very big town and people don't go there for the shopping, but for the tourism. The first problem encountered was the really tight parking lot and considering it had 3 levels, there were not a lot of parking spots in it. The second issue was that some stores inside were closed, possibly due to the Coronavirus.

I liked it. No brand stores but stuff you need everyday, made in China mainly. Good to hang out and include in your sidewalk promenade. Take a peek, have a cup of coffee, it's worth it

It has a really good shop where you can exchange euros for the local currency at competitive rates. It's also open till late at night unlike most other shops. A good place to buy chocolates and clothes as well.

Waited meals over 40 minutes, meals was semi cold and one dish was completlly cold, on top of that they forgot half order for desert and brought unordered food on tabel. We tryed to communicate with them to store the bill and put only ordered food but they refused. They didnt even say sorry for the inconvinient behaviour. Please do not go there if you are not prepared to be downgraded.
