Nature & Parks
Kanagawa Kenritsu Hayama Park is a lovely waterfront park that offers beach access, playgrounds, benches and walking paths. It provides stunning views of Mount Fuji and is highly recommended as a spot for photos. The park is dog-friendly and has a small park next to the beach for kids. It's always clean and peaceful with paid parking available in a large lot with attendants.
Clean beach, clean water, never overcrowded, beautiful sunset and Mount Fuji 🗻 if the sky is clean.
Tanvir Chowdhury — Google review
A nice large park close to Isshiki beach. There is also a parking lot inside and vending machines. If you want to get near the beach but not over the sand, you can hang around this park that overviews the beach.

Next to the beach nice small park for kids

FREE parking on the day we went after turning down and driving down a very narrow road to get there. Lovely views of Fujisan and a playground for kids. I highly recommend this spot for photos. Dog friendly

Beautiful park for relaxing! Very serene. Always clean and peaceful! And, the ocean view is amazing! Paid parking available in huge parking lot with attendant.

The Hayama-kouen Park is a public park and provides a free parking in a week day from fall to spring. Otherwise, it costs 500 yen per day. It is very easy to access the beach. Drivers should be very careful on the narrow road to approach the park.
Ichio Asanuma — Google review
Next to a cool part of the Hayama coast line, and great view of Fuji if weather allows. Parking available, 530 yen automatic charge.

Hayama beach is the best spot in tokyo to get a good view of Mount Fuji. Most tourists don't make the effort to travel out, but its well worth it.

Nice place to swim and enjoy Fuji when you can see it, especially at sunset.

Modern art museum
The Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Modern Art is a small, yet impressive museum showcasing changing exhibitions of international modern art, set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Fuji and the sea. The entrance fee for students is approximately 1000 yen. Visitors can enjoy a diverse collection including William Blake etchings and exhibits such as Francis Bacon's works. The well-maintained building has friendly staff and offers a breathtaking view of the sea from its terrace cafe.
Small contemporary art museum in Hayama, Zushi. Entrance fee is around 1000 yen for students. They had a Francis Bacon show when I visited, the main collection has a lot of William Blake etchings that I've never seen before. The view is amazing! There is a path that goes to a viewery to look at the sea. I stopped by their cafe and had a beer and fried potatoes. They have an osusume of seafood curry for 2000 yen but it had meat in the dashi. The cafe has a terrace and looks at the sea. Great museum to stop by if youre in the area!

You could have a chance to see a rare beautiful shape of Mt. Fuji from the court yard.

A nice, relaxed, unfussy museum overlooking the sea. I saw the commemorative exhibit of Tetsugoro Yorozu, a painter active in the first decades of the 20th century and who died relatively young. It suffered a bit from over-completeness, but was not crowded at all even on a holiday weekend. The bus, however was another story. It's just 15-20 minutes on bus 12 from Zushi Station, but in prime beachgoing season both the bus and narrow seaside road are packed -- I mean, uncomfortably pressed up against strangers for 30 minutes packed. It's more than possible to walk if the weather is good, but takes about an hour. Plenty of places to eat and rest along the way, though.

The museum is a beautyful building, situated on the shores of The Pacific Ocean. We visited the present exhibitions, The Aalvar Alto show and the museums collection of modern, japanese art. Both exhibitions were historically interesting and beatifully shown. The museum also has a nice outdoor exhibition of sculptures, including a small fountain of Hossain Golba.

Sakura Setsu exhibition was good. Nice, well maintained building and friendly staff. Plus, the sea view is beautiful!

Morito Daimyojin Shrine

Mentioned on
Shinto shrine
Morito Daimyojin Shrine is a coastal Shinto shrine located in Hayama, known for its picturesque sunset views of Mount Fuji and the torii gate situated on a rocky outcrop by the sea. The shrine holds significance for its historical association with childbirth blessings and fertility represented by painted rocks and little fish. Visitors can park at the free parking lot nearby, but should note that fees apply after 30 minutes.
Located in the town of Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Morito Shrine stands as one of the most famous shrines in all of Hayama, if not the whole Shonan area. Built around 1180 by the first Kamakura shogun, Minamoto no Yoritomo
Sora Beautiful — Google review
A nice shrine but a lot of people waiting because it was new year.
Ryusei Hosono — Google review
Beautiful shrine! It good to see a pair of stone-caved guardian dogs!
KIICHIRO KOBORI — Google review
This shrine is located along Morito Coast in Hayama. Peaceful with beautiful views of the sea and Fujisan. You can also see the red water torii gate which is located near the lighthouse. Since ancient times, this shrine is known for faith in childbirth or blessings for multiple children indicated by the little fish and painted rocks. A parking lot is located next to the shrine which is free for the first 30 minutes and then ¥220 during the week and ¥550 on the weekends and holidays. Make sure to visit the red walking bridge too.

This is a small, but calming and gentle shrine, surrounding by the clear ocean. Get off at Zushi·Hayama station and walk. Great area to relax and enjoy
Mark Williams — Google review
It was beautiful. My kids loved climbing the rocks and playing on the beach. There is a lot of parking through the red torii gate by the shrine.

Beaches
Isshiki Beach, located in Zushi City near Kamakura, is a serene and picturesque sandy retreat that offers a more tranquil alternative to the popular Zushi Beach. Surrounded by rock formations and lush greenery, this beach provides a peaceful escape just a short bus ride away from the bustling city of Tokyo. With its gentle waters and stunning views of Mt. Fuji on clear days, Isshiki Beach has garnered attention as one of the best beaches in the world.
Evaluated as one of top 70 beaches worldwide, this is many peoples favorite. The fine sand , the seasonal beach houses and the tranquil environment makes a trip to here a no brainer. Wind down and just let go, here I come ... :-)

It is ok to escape Tokyo on a sunny weekend day. The beach is reasonable, waves are gentle, perfect for small kids. There is absolutely no structure: no shower, toilets, shops, nothing. A few school giving stand up and life saving classes. The water is cold but not freezing.
Marcio Russo — Google review
Wonderful place. The water is not too shallow. I would not recommend it for families with small kids for the same reason though. There is a rest place (1000¥) and a shower room (forgot how much) but they close at 5pm. A pity there's no designated parking lot so you have to use the nearby PL which are quite pricey. Otherwise I liked the green mountain background, felt like home.
iloveboule — Google review
Nice beach but was surprised to see plenty of trash along the shore! Even though dogs are not permitted, ignorant dog owners freely walking around with their dog dropping feaces next to sunbathing visitors! and they wouldn't clean up! Is this Japan? Also 1000¥ for changing room use is a total ripoff! Wouldn't recommend!
Chris Manzano — Google review
Nice calm beach with mellow waves You can rent SUP, surf , kayak there Good plan for a day trip outside Tokyo and not too far
Diana R — Google review
Really nice view and weather, super recommend. Now is the best season – not too crowded and not too hot.
Effie Chou — Google review
The best beach for hanging out with friends, clean, not very crowded, not as much restrictions as Zushi beach for example
Stas Vishnevsky — Google review
Although somewhat secluded and, hence, chill and quiet, there is no public shower. The only option to rinse the salt after swimming is to pay the ridiculously expensive charges to shower at one of the beach houses.
Traian 'Captain' Dumitru — Google review
The beach is right next to the museum and the emperor's villa. The kids loved this beach because there were so many crabs on the rocks! We can also rent boats, fishing rods, etc. Water quality is very good!
Rintaro — Google review
A relaxed, quiet beach. Unlike Kamakura Yurigahama beach or Zushi beach, you will not find young group of people showing off but families with children looking for a quiet time at the beach. The neighbourhood around the area looks also very affluent. To come to this beach take the bus from bus stop Nr 3 at Zushi Station (and get off at Isshiki Beach, 20min of bus ride). Note that there are not any convini stores right close to the beach.
Yoshi Mirai — Google review
Originally a small fishing village, the area has become a destination for beachgoers, paddle boaters, long-board surfers, and a nice place for nice early morning walks for the locals. Hayama has several small BNBs, cafes, restaurants, and is a popular place for wealthier folks to build a vacation home or as a place to retire if you have the financial means. In fact, the Imperial family have a winter retreat that sits right on the shore of Isshiki Beach and the Koisonohana headland. Naturally, there are small pay-phone-like booths where police can stand guard when the royals are in town. Even when the villa is not in use, there are still a couple of police officers guarding the villa on a 24-hour basis. Access to the beach is easiest if you drive, but is still accessible by train and bus. Check out the video I made for this location at my Pix4Japan YouTube channel: "Isshiki Beach in Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture"
Daisei Iketani (Pix4Japan) — Google review
Beautiful beach that you can get to for a day trip from Tokyo. Not so crowded because the trains don't run directly to Hayama. You need to take the train, then a bus if you're on public transportation. You can drive pretty easily but parking in the area tends to be a bit of a hassle. Great beach and amazing sunsets, with a view of Mount Fuji.
Peter Elstrom — Google review
Nice beach. Just a little hard to get there specifically on weekends. The road is very narrow, so the traffic go slow. Long lines to get the bus from zushi to isshiki.

This is an incredibly luxurious spot located in Kanagawa Prefecture. Anyone can visit here, and numerous privately owned yachts are moored. It's exceptionally pleasant to come on a sunny day.

Just a small mall with a couple of over priced restaurants. Views were OK if you like boats and stuff.

Food was ok. Had to eat outside fighting off the birds. Chose to eat in car. Was not permitted to eat inside. Beautiful views of Enoshima. Pancakes cost 900 yen. Wow.

Love the Marina, looking gorgeous yachts and dreaming of sailing... but this Marina has nice shops, restaurants and cafes ! Beautiful day, walking around Marina, feeling ocean breeze, having some bites & drinks and shopping ...What a fun place to hanging around ! Take a bus to Hayama from bus station No.3 from Zushi JR station and it is less than 10 nimutes bus ride. There is a bus stop named "Hayama Marina".
