Beautiful and clean beach with good access to the water and a very private atmosphere.
Vlastimil Polak — Google review
Lovely beach, almost allone. During high tide only the left part of the beach was with sand. But on low water it was very nice. Some rocks in the water. As well, better on the left side.
Oliver Plank — Google review
The most beautiful sunset is here in this period.
Chayanit Suwanaporn — Google review
Beautiful beach! When the tide goes out quite far twice a day it's unswimmable, pretty shallow anyway. But one of the best on Koh yao noi. The best beaches to watch the sunset from.
Nadine Shemilt — Google review
There’s no other beach better than this one, everywhere is rocky when the tide go low. Try to walk to the left when you’re facing the sea, you might find Sandy area for swimming even if the tide is low. As a local. This beach is the best, easy to access, lots of sunny and shade.
Oranat Chumtong — Google review
Secluded beach in paradise! If comparing beaches stricktly by quality, this one is far from perfect: quite muddy bottom and difficult to swim in low-tide. Humid climate if compared to Phuket or Krabi. The draw here is the tranqulity and feel of yester year Thailand! Affordable prices and friendly custom service troughout the island. When strolling along the beach it feels like your own! Barely a soul in sight, in february... unbeatable.
Tom Tackman — Google review
Horrible beach, it is not for swimming or walking, usually very dirty. the view is nice and that is all.

Empty beach, clear water. Unfortunately low tide came around 1.30 pm and we had to leave.

Good experience, I was not very excited to see the bats but fortunately they were friendly! I felt like a shipwrecked .
Yuliana Georgieva — Google review
A place worth visiting but you need good boots to get thru shallow reefs and rocks to the beach itself...
Tomasz Chojecki — Google review
A ton of bats! The coolest island we visited. Bring a zoom lens to see them up close. You can only enter during low tide. Squeeze this into a long tail day trip.
Robert Mante — Google review
Koh Roi island & lagoon - Here you will have to walk in the waters when it is a low tide and go under a water cave to see big bats inside this island. There are thousands of bats here making lots of noises. You will need to leave the cave before the high tide comes. Otherwise you could not get out. That's the fun part. hahaha
Chat Soo (Tor) — Google review
A surprising gem in the middle of many gems. You can only enjoy this island during low tide as that is the only time the entrance to the cove/interior is accessible. I was impressed with what nature had created.

Koh Yao Beach Bungalows

Mentioned on
Hotel
Koh Yao Beach Bungalows is a serene and affordable resort located on the beach. The accommodation features streamlined bungalows with complimentary Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant, and ample parking space for motorbikes. The location of the resort is very convenient and offers easy access to nearby attractions. While the staff may not be fluent in English, they ensure that the rooms are immaculately clean.
The room is very comfortable. I enjoyed the bed and linens. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped me with a tour around the island. I came in a quieter period. I arrived late and was hungry. The lady pointed me to a soup vendor across the street. She was the only food place open that evening. It is adjacent to the Beach Bar. The food was amazing. Unfortunately, she is not listed on Google maps.
Patrick Lee Loy — Google review
It was ok. The room could do with a bit of attention. The bed was so squeaky that we gave up at 2am, stripped it then tightened the screws with the back of a teaspoon. It was ok after that. It was a great location but we backed onto the road and it was noisy. The bathroom didn’t have the best aroma either. Apart from that it was all good.
John Martin — Google review
Unfortunately I was not able to stay at Koh Kao Beach Bungalows despite having a confirmed booking 2 weeks in advance. I turned up at 6:00pm and was informed that check-in was closed. The woman answering my questions said they had no more rooms (all available rooms already had people checked in). I called the OYO booking call center to see if they could help. They spoke with the woman on-site but she wouldn't budge on providing another room. Despite her excellent English, she was also completely unhelpful at suggesting another nearby hotel where I could stay, leaving me to resolve the issue on my own as it was getting dark. I understand COVID is a challenging time for all hotels, but this poor service mentality does not make me want to use this hotel anytime in the future.
Michele Felder — Google review
We stayed one night in a bungalow with fan, we were really concerned about bugs but despite few mosquitoes it was alright (we slept under the mosquitoes net but some still managed to come through). No big suprises or disappointments. Well connected if you have a motorbike (Yao Noi is easy to explore with a moped). If you walk the beach is right next to it and plenty of other accommodation and bars and restaurants around but still not quite in the middle of what it looked like the buzziest (westernised) side of the island.
Kirsa Ferreiro — Google review
Fantastic location , beach just across the road. Small bars and eateries on the beach. ❤️
miriam harris — Google review
We were not impressed at first but really liked this place. Very good location. Can park motorbike in front of room. Nice beach across the street. No kettle but they never said there was. VERY firm bed and pillows with no blanket. Staff does not really speak English and isn't terribly friendly. But very good price and very clean. Would definately stay again!
Maqelle McMahon — Google review
Stunning vibes and location. Super close to the beach just pass small road. Room is clean. No longer OYO.
Thanawadee Chantian — Google review
Stayed in no ac room, marginal at best but for price cheapest on island & with beach access (not clean). Beware of music from hotel next door. Very loud until 1:30am & worse karaoke type we've ever heard but said to only happen once in a while. Also don't expect much from the beaches on this island. Very Rocky & at low tide water is unusable although the beach closest to this hotel had the best low tide access we saw (must wade a long way to get waste deep).
Len King — Google review
Nice enough rooms and nice layout. It can be a bit noisy. There have been many problems in the past with the electricity cutting off, which is never convenient or fun as it usually happens when it's very hot. The restaurant is very good. There is a bar beside the restaurant and it's nice that they don't make their music too loud. Many places are a big turnoff because of extremely loud music. I've been there many times and never been annoyed by the bar music. This place is on Pasai Beach, so there are good options for dinning elsewhere, shopping, getting a massage, etc.
dave williams — Google review
Beautiful AC new built bungalows very close to the beach - you just have to cross the road which is far from frequent. Rich breakfast included in the price. Probably the best accommodation in this price category we have experienced this year in Thailand. Recommended!

(Translated by Google) Incredible little piece of desert paradise! There is no one around, the whole beach is for you. To get there, you will need to park the scooter near the hotel at the end of the “road”. Then, venture out for a 20-30min walk through the forest following the route (a little diffuse at the end). (Original) Incroyable petit bout de paradis désertique ! Il n’y a personne dans les environs, toute la plage est pour vous. Pour s’y rendre, il vous faudra garer le scooter au niveau de l’hôtel à la fin de la « route ». (Translated by Google) Kian Bay is within walking distance. At the end of the track, once you arrive in front of the hotel, leave your scooter there. Take the track on the left which goes up and off you go for a short hike. Once you arrive at the cabin/shelter, take the small path on the far left and try to follow the tracks as the path is not indicated. It’s very, very steep! It goes down steeply. It took us a little less than an hour because we got lost before finding the right path. Much faster return. The bay is superb, very few people. You will be able to see the "big tree" too.

(Translated by Google) If you arrive by boat you have to pay a fee for the national park. I think that's fine in itself, but you pay 300 baht for a 200m walk to the Big Tree, which is impressive, but we found the entrance fee very overpriced for 5 minutes of walking around the tree. The locals told me that the entrance fee is valid for the entire national park, but only for the Big Tree it is less worth it (but we couldn't confirm whether the entrance fee is valid for the entire park).

Really good dinner - we were served dishes way more sophisticated than avg on the island. I would recommend the set menu, which will set you back 1300 Baht for 2 but will fill you up and let you taste a nice set of 6 dishes! I was pretty sad with the way some waitresses in green uniforms (the "full time" employees) were looking really annoyed and pissed off. The trainees that served us were the nicest ever (in white uniforms). This one lady in green (pointless to mention the name) standing 3 meters from me literally and theatrically snorted and rolled her eyes when the trainee I asked a dessert price to asked her how much that was (he obviously didn't remember). She lazily went for the menu and gave it to him so that he could show me. I felt really bad, my gf and I are always extremely careful about being kind, show appreciation, smile to all workers and never bother them. But this embarassing scene was all in front of me, making me feel like I shouldn't have asked. The restaurant manager is just the sweetest guy just like most others. As an advice to him I would encourage to pay attention to staff that is having a really bad day... We all do, but when it's too obvious or theatrical, it can really make people feel bad. Other than that, great food and location :)
Giovanni Brusetti — Google review
Expensive but the quality was good. But the best point is the location: great sea view in a nice garden atmosphere.
Luc J — Google review
For these prices (lunch 200-400) I would require something more out of the ordinary! Not worth it food wise, fancy and over achieving service (33cl bottle of beer half poured waited in an ice bucket away from the table) which definitely overwhelms in comparison. However, when we wanted to pay all of a sudden all service stopped.

The food was prety good but the taste was more european than thay. The price was a little bit expensive for this type of food.

June 2017. Traveling with an infant and 2 year old, we visited for dinner twice via their free pick up drop off service from a nearby resort. Our experiences there was memorable and the food was fantastic. I had read about this place and was looking forward to enjoying their hospitality and cuisine. They didn't disappoint on both counts. The staff were both professional, thoughtful and made sure we felt comfortable at all times. They understood the trials of traveling with kids and really helped us relax and enjoy. Many reviews mention portions being small for the price but I believe what you get is reasonable and also the whole experience part of their appeal. Definitely recommend and would go again.

The food was good and the service was excellent. They picked us up from a neighboring hotel and dropped us off at the restaurant. We were sat by their garden with an excellent view of the sea and the near by islands. They had a good selection of dishes which arrived very quickly after ordering. I also ordered a Passion fruit mojito which was lovely. At the end of the evening they took us back home. A very good experience.

Yoga retreat center
Spas & Wellness
Island Yoga Thailand is a popular studio that offers yoga classes, meditation, and extended retreat stays. Visitors have praised the value for money, laid-back vibe, lovely staff, and delicious food. The location is easily accessible from Phuket Airport and provides a calm getaway after a hectic period. While some minor reopening challenges were noted, overall experiences have been positive with guests extending their trips due to the inspiring atmosphere and open community. However, some feedback mentioned crowded yoga classes as a downside.
My favourite place in Thailand. My sister and I have been here 3 times now since 2017, and it has never disappointed. I can't wait to go back again. Beautiful site on a small unspoiled island. Great yoga sessions twice a day, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We love it!

Thought I would write a quick review, since I was a bit hesitant to book a week here, not knowing what it was like post COVID. well long story short: it was great! so great I ended up extending my trip to 10 days. I rated it 4 out of 5 because: 1. I dont trust places that only have 5s, and 2. there are some minor reopening challenges the place is working thru, but what business isn't? my ratings: value: amazing. you get so much for your money: good lodging, breakfast, three classes a day, bikes, kayaks... accommodations: great. i got a bungalow with AC, basic but all good. food: pretty good. same basic breakfast everyday. more options for midday snaking would be nice. tai chi: amazing. wake up at 5:30 and do it, you can beat it. yoga: very good: beginner/intermediate level, lots of focus on breathwork and mobility, not as much on technical adjustments, but if you talk to Marcello, he'll take you thru a legit Ashtanga practice. getting there: super easy. I was concerned about this but it was seamless. other things: the resort is right down the beach from 6 senses, so you are getting the same view for a fraction of the cost. I was a bit worried about being bored, but the island has tons of great cafes and restaurants to checkout, and the hotel arranged two boat trips for me to go out diving/exploring. Other folks went rock-climbing or did their digital nomad gigs during the day. So, there is plenty to do, and if you do all the classes that's 5 hours of your day right there. super glad I did it: I'm leaving feeling so much better than I went in, and that's the whole point, right?

Absolutely loved Island Yoga. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming. Receptionists were so nice, I directly felt at home. Food was really good, I enjoyed the long extended breakfasts in the yogi cafe. Yoga and meditation lessons were both relaxing and challenging, good for all levels as the teachers always try that everyone enjoys the class. Different Yoga instructors to learn from. Yoga cats are lovely too. 100% recommendation. I will be back.
Lisa Spiller — Google review
Two days here and I will not come back: Rooms are not clean and lack any decorations to make you feel at home. The beach is not nice and is very dirty. The pool is small and dirty. Teachers are always different, and not all are professionals. Staff is on duty from 10 a.m. and off at 4 p.m. If anything happens, you need to solve the problem by yourself or wait the day later. Breakfast is basic. Community dinner didn't happen as the staff chose to fight with each other and cancelled it for no reason. There are many other yoga studios in Phuket that deserve much more than this island yoga studio, which is cheaper and has more options around. You can simply book another resort on the island with a cheaper price and drop in for the yoga classes if they have, as many times they have canceled without any notification. They provide massage, but it is simple and inside a small room; I would not recommend it at all.
Travel Gram — Google review
Very relaxing place on a quiet beach. You will be in good hands with Marcelo, yoga teacher, David for the climb and Ning’s family for the resort. Do not miss the 8am yoga class but if you want a wake up session, it can be arranged at 6am on the beach!

My partner and I came to Island Yoga for a 4 day retreat and ended up staying 3 weeks. This experience is personally for me the greatest gift to myself. A true discovery of tool for personal improvement and serenity. I am a gym guy, but with island Yoga, Meditation and Yoga will now forever (hopefully be in my regular practice. The Teachers, and the whole staff quite frankly are nothing short of inspiring. Their kindness, professionalism and passion for what they do is inspiring. I will definitely come back, hopefully soon enough, and I will take my brother with me. So that he may discover what I have lived.

Experience of a lifetime🫶🏻💫wonderful location, the best staff and cozy bungalows. Spent 1 week there and couldn‘t have asked for more. Yoga, meditation, Tai Chi by the sunrise and amazing food. It‘s the perfect place if you need to recharge and reconnect with yourself. Can‘t wait to be back one day!

I had a wonderful and quiet stay. It was a very nice environment, people were kind and open, the yoga classes and teachers were very good and breakfast was excellent. I would definitely go again and recommed it. Very good value for money. I am not giving 5 stars just because 1. the bathrooms in the dorm could have been cleaned better/more frequently, 2. the taxi to go to the airport booked by the reception didn't pick me up as expected at the pier. Despite these two elements, it was amazing. An environment with very positive vibes. Thank you to the local team <3 Advice: get a room with A/C. Hottest periods like April are unbearable.

The most welcoming and warmest place I've ever been. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. The yoga teachers were truly professionals and made my 6 days visit very comfortable even though I'm a beginner in yoga. Teachers gave different kind of variations to do with poses. This truly was a place to feel safe, peaceful and good about yourself and everybody and everything around you. 🙌

This place has become my spiritual home and one of the most special places I’ve been too in the whole world. I visited for the first time in 2016 and have since come back regularly. It is here that I discovered yoga and have gone into training as a teacher myself. The views, the sunrise every morning, the yoga classes, and most importantly ***the people***, are beyond what a review could make justice. It is truly a hidden gem away from the busy tourist trails, offering a true experience of Thai culture and kindness.

I really loved my stay at the retreat! The staff is so lovely, it has a big family vibe. The location and the yoga teacher are also very nice. Only downside is its too many people in the yoga class so you don't really have enough space to move. Except that you get something really lovely and calm, it's a good getaway after a hectic period! Food was also great, loved the buffet for breakfast!

Must go-to yoga center and cafe on the Island. Food always fresh healthy - my favorite being the breakfast style buffet. My training loved walking here every morning to eat together after practice. Really chill ambiance, cozy clean and comfy. 💕💕💕💕💛💛💛 Can’t forget their yoga cats and special yoga Shalas plus the way the flowers and garden are kept. Has a very warm place in my heart ☺️

A hidden gem and perfect if you like it calm and natural. Layed back vibe, everything works, lovely staff, best fresh fruits (yummy food in general), inspiring and open people that are easy to connect with. I stayed for 8 nights which was perfect, but also 6-10 is great to immerse. I would have loved some more spiritual deep dive, but it was a good and inspiring level. It's super easy to get here; it took me only a bit more than 1h from Phuket Airport. Thank you! I already miss you. Sending love

Just finished the 10 day sadhana here at the gorgeous Island Yoga. What a fantastic way to start the new year! The location is fantastic and the bungalows are spacious, comfortable and clean. But the best thing is the people. The yoga teachers are all outstanding and are so full of love and teachings. I have improved my practice more in the last ten days then I have at any other retreat. All of the retreat staff from reception to the cafe are so kind and friendly. Coming as a solo traveller was perfect as the cafe is a great way to meet people and the food is yummy. Would 100% recommend a life-changing stay here.

Loved my 6 nights at Island Yoga! As an inflexible yoga rookie, I was hesitant at first about the retreat, but Im so glad I did it, met lots of great people who were all very welcoming, staff were great and loved the yoga sessions, food and activities available. Great island also, nice and relaxed but also cafes and restaurants available. Highly recommend this retreat!

I firs visited Island Yoga as a guest at the beginning of February 2024. On that occasion, I booked a 10-night yoga vacation, which proved to be the ideal time to settle in and deepen my yoga practice and meditation considerably, as well as to relax and let go. I really enjoyed the location: Koh Yao Noi - a small, un-touristy island in Thailand where one can enjoy slow time, peace and contact with nature that infuse new and positive energy. I was also particularly impressed by the quality of the connections and sharing with the traveller community, the yoga classes and the exchange with the staff (including the lovely yogi cats). In short... I liked it so much that after two months of solo travel adventures in South East Asia I wanted to return to Island Yoga and applied for a volunteer work position. Thus, I spent the month of April working as an assistant cook/chef at Island Yoga's café & restaurant. Besides pushing me out of my comfort zone, this volunteering experience allowed me to deepen and nourish my yoga practice, as well as to connect and share a special lifestyle and service with many like-minded individuals within the yoga community. Overall, my stay at Island Yoga and Koh Yao Noi island was deeply enriching and inspiring - I definitely recommend it and I will certainly visit again!

The service at this place deserves 10 stars. The staff is so kind. It was my 3the time here and really recommend this place if you love yoga, community, great breakfast and a quiet island. It's amazing how you can allways find nice people here. I love the thai-chi with a great view. David is even after many years still excited about teaching which is admirable. I love the group meditation and the yoga. And let's not forget the great carrot cake. I recommend staying for a longer periode so you get really in to calming your mind and opening your heart. Thank you so much!! So much gratitude!!

We loved staying here. Such a beautiful spot and a great vibe. The most chilled place ever. We stayed in a private bungalow with AC and it was lovely and cool and bed was comfy. Shower was great. Lovely hammock to chill in on the veranda. We loved it because it was cosy and beautiful and relaxed. Not luxurious or low budget kitch. Just nicely perfectly imperfect attracting the type of people we love to be around. Openminded and super friendly. You can choose to join in a lot or you can choose to be more private. Everything goes here. We liked it a lot also because it was very diverse when it came to age, sex and heritage. Staff was ever so welcoming and lovely. We would love to come back.

Baan Rim Nam Restaurant is a touristy restaurant located on the pier in Koh Yao Yai. They serve Thai and seafood dishes. The atmosphere is very vibrant and busy, but the food is definitely worth trying out!
Definitely a touristy vibe but absolutely worth visiting. We tried crab curry which was amazing, pad Thai with herbs and green pepper corn great as well. We wanted to try mango sticky rice for a dessert but it was finished and instead we ordered banana in young coconut and it was incredibly delicious. Service was also great. Love this place.

Fab place to eat- and we are vegetarian! It’s the location and friendliness that set this place apart. If you can go around or just after sunset, even though it’s on the East, the colours were stunning. We had pad Thai and fried noodles, both veggie, plus deep fried bananas for pudding (best we’ve had, and we ate these a lot in Indonesia so we’re super happy!)

We coincidently stumbled upon this place when exploring the island and what a lucky discovery it was! The service was 10/10, they were very sweet and attentive and gave recommendations on the menu, we could see what they had caught that morning and told us about it. Besides the service the food itself was also really great, we had fried fish and crab and it couldn’t have been better. The restaurant is beautifully located and the vibe of the place is calm and serene. Nothing could’ve been better.

This place is fantastic! Worth it to come from Bangkok and charter a boat just to eat here. The staff is friendly and the owner, Tatar, always gives the freshest recommendations. This is worthy of a Michelin Star!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the best restaurant in the island! We came here for the third times. The seafoods are so fresh and delicious. The boss is very friendly and provides good service. Highly recommended for a memorable meal

Incredible food, great service, fantastic atmosphere. Too bad that we were not staying longer, we would definitely have wanted to try their other dishes. We will recommend it.

Superb Restaurant with delicious traditional food & friendly service and a stunning view & atmosphere. Can highly recommend the Pad Thai, the steamed Snapper with lime sauce and especially the Banana-in-Coconut-desert.

🦞🦐🦀🦑🐟 This restaurant was one of the reasons I decided to take a shuttle boat from Koh Yao Noi to Koh Yao Yai and it turned out that everything was super great as I expected. I ordered grilled squid(It didnt look big from the picture, but believe me it was biggggg), deep fried shrimp wrapped with rice noodle and steamed seabass with lime sauce. I liked everything. You can pick fresh seafood from the boxes in front of the kitchen and tell them what dish you want them to make. The staffs were nice and helpful. I'd love to come back again.

The meals were nothing short of extraordinary. The menu boasted a fantastic variety of mouthwatering Thai dishes, each prepared with finesse and authenticity. Whether it was the flavorful satay or the aromatic green mango salad, every bite was delightful. We asked the staff, and they told us that the food was Halal What truly stood out, besides the exquisite food, was the staff's attentiveness and helpfulness. Dining with the tranquil sound of water beneath added to the overall charm. It's not just a restaurant; it's a captivating culinary haven on the shores of Ko Yao Yai.

We have been here 4 times through years from 2017. Great food, friendly staff, nice view. Green mango salad is magnificent. Everything I had was so good but I think their smoothies/ice blended drinks are seriously one of the best in the country.

Cafe Kantary, Koh Yao Noi is a charming harbor-style cafe with a beautiful decor of white and blue. It offers stunning views of the sea, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the scenery while indulging in delicious treats. The cafe's menu features a variety of delectable cakes, including the popular strawberry cheesecake with fresh, chunky strawberries and hidden vanilla ice cream. In addition to sweet options, there are also savory dishes available.
We ate here many times during our extended stay on the island. Super friendly staff. Good food, fresh pastries & coffee. Thai & western food. The Thai toast w/honey was our FAV dessert & we haven’t found anything else that compares to it!

A cute cafe part of Cape Kudu Hotel. I came here several times during my stay. There is seating inside and outside, but I always chose to sit outside to enjoy the ocean view :) You can come for coffee, breakfast, lunch, or dessert.. they have a good variety for all.

Very stylish chic cafe, probably the only one in Koh Yao Noi. I had blueberry yogurt ice cream and it was SO good! Staffs are very lovely and polite and able to recommend their products efficiently. Impressed with design and all the little details, the view is spectacular. Perfect spot to escape from the heat! Thank you staff team, I'll be back :)

Little lovely Café right on the coast with beautiful view onto the Islands of Koh Hong. High quality coffee, good Thai food and extraordinary western food, too. During our week on Koh Yao Noi, we had pancakes, Fried Rice, Cheesecake, Sandwiches and salad and we never got disappointed.

You should come here for two things: 1. A/C 2. Beautiful photos I haven’t tried the food but I can only assume, it’s not worth the poor service and subpar beverages. I’ve been three separate times (for the reasons above). It wasn’t until the third visit that I became fed up. There are about 5 servers behind the counter and they all just sit around and gossip. Since it’s self service, I’m really not sure the need for them all. When I have seen them deliver food to guests outside, they slouch and drag their feet and act like they hate having to do a job. Each time I’ve asked for a spoon or straw, it felt like an inconvenience to them. Honestly, this experience makes me look badly at kudu hotel. Is the staff there the same? Lastly, avoid the macarons at all costs!! They are very stale and way too sweet. Tastes 0 like a macaron. Wi-Fi is also shaky.

Best coffee we had on the island. The mango sticky rice was amazing and the coconut pana cotta a dream. They had cute Halloween decorations up during our visit. Drove over in the morning to get our coffee fix just before our boat.

Good homemade bread and desserts, pizza. Burgers and salad with beetroot are eatable, but not something to order again. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. They accept credit cards which is convenient.

Woww😍❤️ What a lovely place on an island🏝💗 The pizza is delicious! The desserts are a bit too sweet for me. Still I like their pancake and ice cream! The staff are very friendly and smiley 💕 The café also offers two selections of postcards. What a place for postcard lover like me 😝 The view in front the café is just amazing💯

Very cute next to the Cape Cudu hotel. The café is known for its cake in the entire island. We tried some cakes, ice cream, crepes etc. And food was always delicious. It's extremely cute and cosy 😍 it's nice for every meal and desserts. Staff understand more English than they can talk/communicate, but they are very friendly and try their best to help.

Nice cafe with a nice atmosphere and a view of the sea. The food and drinks are delicious and the staff are very friendly. You have to order inside but you can also sit outside. There is also western food and a large selection of cakes.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The food, both Western and Thai, is soo delicious and really cheap. The servers are friendly and accomadating to any dietary restrictions.

Since I first came to the island nearly 4 years ago I have been to this cafe a lot, usually for the delicious cakes, ice cream and coffee. Today, for a change, came here for lunch and the Gyudong Beef & Rice bowl.....it was absolutely delicious. A generous serving of beef that was perfectly cooked. Sadly, no room for cake now, but pictures included from previous visits 😎😋😋 Wonderful staff here, lovely peaceful ambience and fantastic views across to Krabi.

Nestled amidst the picturesque rice paddies of Koh Yao Noi, Rice Paddy Restaurant is a renowned dining establishment offering delectable Thai cuisine in a charming and romantic setting. Visitors are treated to an array of mouth-watering dishes while surrounded by lush greenery. The restaurant's menu caters to diverse tastes, ensuring a delightful culinary experience for all patrons. Guests have praised the top-notch service and stylish decor, making it an ideal destination for a memorable dining experience.
This restaurant was recommended to us by a few people and we had to try it. We wanted a variety of styles of food and the menu here catered for it for sure. The staff were very helpful and arranged a high-chair for us and our toddler as well as recommendations. We ordered the hummus and it was beautiful. We also ordered the steak and the quality of the dish was really not what I expected for a restaurant on a small island. It was superb. I asked for Jeaw sauce for my steak and even though it wasn't on the menu, the chef arranged it for me. The restaurant is really great for anyone who needs options and high quality food.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was absolutely top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and taken care of. The atmosphere was also great - stylishly decorated with a fantastic vibe. But the real star of the show was the food. Everything I tried was extremely tasty and well-prepared. The menu had a great variety of options to choose from, and I appreciated the attention to detail in each dish. And let's not forget about the cocktails - they were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. With its great service, stylish atmosphere, and delicious food and drinks, it's definitely worth a visit. I've been here multiple times now and each time has been better than the last. Don't hesitate to check it out!

(Translated by Google) We had by far the best meal of our entire Thailand vacation here. There wasn't a dish that we didn't like. On the contrary: everything was always much more sophisticated, better and more beautiful than what we got elsewhere. In addition, the food and the ideas behind it were explained to us very well. Personal highlight for me: There are great cocktails. In my opinion, it's difficult to find them on the islands. The homemade ice cream is also highly recommended. And dessert is always possible. 🙂 Good to know: Make a reservation online in advance, otherwise you may not get a spot.

HANDS DOWN the best (chicken) Massaman curry I've ever had. The Duck curry was also amazing. When we arrived, they gave us a complimentary entree of tomato with pickled tea leaves. That was packed full of flavour. The chicken Massaman curry is served with a piece of crispy chicken skin. Um YUMM! Perfect flavours! The duck curry was so tasty and spicy as they say. Note, the restaurant menu says they cannot reduce the spice-level without compromising flavour, I totally understand this. If you're after cocktails, we had the awarding winning Siam Sunset. It was so good we had 3! The restaurant also provided us a small serving of complimentary fruit at the end of our meal. Service and food is 10/10! All up we spent 1800baht on two mains, three cocktails and a beer. Trust me, it's worth it. Note, BOOK A TABLE for peak times. We came around 3pm for a late lunch and we noticed that nearly ALL the tables had reserved signs!

👌👍 (Translated by Google) We were thrilled! Excellent service from reception to invoice. Our food was delicious and the portions were all large. We received a short explanation of each dish and, if necessary, a tip about what to eat. Absolutely loving and not the least bit intrusive! 😀 We made another reservation for the day after next. 👌👍

It is so rare, as a budget traveler, that I come across a restaurant like Rice Paddy. There is something both so humble and classy about this place. The owner, was once a French cuisine chef, clearly has a vision of superb service, ambience and quality of ingredients while also having an ethic of keeping it affordable. You can meet him every evening where he will passionately tell you about the food. We came here 3 times and loved it. The madsaman curry was so good I had it every single time — the vegetarian lamb is made from stringy mushrooms and is so delicious. They have plenty of vegetarian options. This is THE place to eat on the entire island. You might want to reserve a table especially if the weather isn’t great. Enjoy!

Loved the food. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the service. My wife and I showed up both nights without a reservation (although I would recommend you try to get one, I’m just lazy). Owner is blunt so be prepared. We’re frankly tired of the poor service in America so we really loved how he treated us. It was my wife’s birthday and he brought out desert with candles and sang to her. She felt so special. He cares about his restaurant enough to work alongside his people and we couldn’t appreciate that more. We’re staying in the area for 7 days and plan to go back at least 1 more time before we leave.

Checks all the boxes. Amazing views. Service was great. And food was so delicious. Besides the amazing food, the best part about this place was the passion the owner has for Thai cuisine. I loved how he explained the dishes we ordered and gave us background into the rich flavors of Thai dishes. Get the Madsaman curry and the Sate's!

Best Restaurant on Koh Yao Noi! If you are a foodie and looking for an experience, you can't miss this place. The food has Michelin-star quality for a reasonable price. For my understanding it was even the best price- performance ratio in Thailand. Absolutly loved it!

Amazing food cooked and presented with a lot of passion by Mr. Frank and the rest of the staff, great hospitality and awesome Mai Tais. Easily the best Tom Kha Gai we tried in Thailand (and we tried many) - cooked with chicken thigh, a legendary beef Massaman curry, super tasty pineapple fried rice and a refreshing fried banana with homemade ice cream. Portions are also very generous and the only regret I have is that I don't have another stomach to try out more tasty treats, including the mango sticky rice. Strongly recommend and looking forward to visiting again when back on Koh Yao Noi. In Mr. Frank's words, "come to Rice Paddy with an open mind" and I promise you will not be disappointed.

An absolute must visit when on Koh Yao Noi - my partner said it was the best meal he’s had in our entire Thailand holiday. We went during lunch and there was ample seating, however I hear it’s very busy in the evening - I can imagine with the fairy lights, it would be just a wonderful view. If we were staying any longer, we’d definitely be returning.
