Museum is on road side,so very easy access. Good for students visit. Some old things related to our past are there. Kumauni apan are center of attraction. If someone is interested in achitecture and heritage side seeing, then it's a right place.

It is a good place. I'm happy that such a museum exists in the first place. I visited it. The problem is that it is in great need of renovation and promotion. Definitely a great start but there is great scope for expansion because Kumaon has a lot of heritage. Online presence and advertisement inviting local people to donate antique Kumaoni artifacts could be a great initiative! As of yet the place is somewhat smaller and the collection is lesser than it should be! But the staff were good and they've tried their best to make it worth the visit. Entry is free so drop in!

The temple is situated in market. Parking is available 100 meters away on main road. Very old temple of Maa Durga,Saraswati and Maa Kali. It has very old shiv temples also inside. Traffic restrictions are from 3.15 to 4 .30pm. So plan visit accordingly.

pāṭala devī mandira, Shail Village, Almora. Not to be confused with Patal Bhuvaneshwar underground cave temple (this is not it). A beautiful old mandira, at least 200 years old, likely much older. Still in regular use. As the name implies, this is a devī mandira, with a tiger on the gopura, yet it is nandi who oversees the mandira on the ground level.

I visited this zoo few days ago with my family. It is basically divided in 2 area, 1 for leopards and 1 for other animals like dears, sambar, monkeys and few birds like owl, vulture, etc. The main problem is the distance between these 2 sections is half a kilometer (450 meters) with lot of stairs and climbing in between. So not recommended at all for elderly. If you want to see the leopard then go, else no point in going and can be skipped.

Very beautiful amazing place..... This deer sanctuary was established in 1978. There are many such animals in this zoo, which attract the tourists a lot. White monkeys and white deer are the center of attraction in this zoo. Entry for children up to 12 years is free. The ticket fee for people above this age has been kept at Rs 20.....🌠💞

Cages are very small, they are keeping 1 vulture and 1 eagle in a single small cage which was used for a Black Bear in the past. Birds can't even flex their wings fully. The zoo is still building so I hope they will make it more animal friendly in future.

If you are expecting a zoo with a large area and lots of animals then this place will disappoint you .. When I visited The charge was just 20 rupees per person. There were only a few animals. Not even clicked a single picture in the zoo.. The authority should work on this place.

It's a small zoo, decently maintained with terribly small cages, but the animals are apparently rescues. I didn't regret stopping by. A bathroom is available although it might not be the cleanest.

Few animals like leopards, a white monkey, deer, reindeer and owls. Not in good condition.

The way the animals are treated in the zoo are horrible. Govt should ban ZOO. They deserve to be in their natural habitat and not some metal cage.

This place offers a delectable selection of sweets made with Desi ghee. We tried Samosa, Rasmalai, Patisa, Ghever, Doda Barfi and Chocolate Barfi here. Most of the sweets were had rich flavors and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. However, the Chocolate Barfi and ghever didn't quite hit the mark, lacking the desired taste and texture. Overall, Almora Rasoi is a must-visit for sweet lovers. Our recommendation: Must try Samosa, Rasmalai and Doda Barfi.

They are known for making pure ghee sweets. Ladoo and samosa are a must try.

Only ate here, did not stay in rooms, veg thali was reasonably good as was paratha and rajma. Service was quite good too. However they seem to have a problem with disposing of garbage from the premises and it seems to just get thrown over the back wall. The management/owners need to put a better waste management system in place to keep the beautiful Kumaon still beautiful. Have given 1 star because of garbage issue, if they resolve this I am happy to revise this. Swachh Bharat.

We had our lunch here on our day trip to Kasar Devi. A quite pocket friendly option for eating out. Clean and hygienic. Staffs are nice. We had steamed momos mixed chowmein and chilli chicken. Food was tasty the quality of chicken was average. They had rooms as well. If you are keen to stay near Kasar Devi Temple this place may be an option for staying along with some more

Among other food joint yeah dolma is doing great but i would say it's not upto the mark, when it comes to servicing. Food is okay dishes were really amazing but some of them were really oily. This can work for your hunger but if you don't mind few minutes of walk then in surrounding area there are many more food joints.

I stayed in New Dolma Hotel for two months. It is located right besides the Kasar Devi temple which makes it very convenient for devotees. Paan Singh Uncle and Dolma Aunty were very warm and gracious hosts who made my stay comfortable and relaxed. Special mention to Lalit, who takes care of room guests. He was always available and would go the extra mile to make sure my requests were fulfilled. Overall, I was very happy with my stay in New Dolma Hotel.

I usually stay here on my solo trip, never got disappointed with the love and service offered. Its feel like a home, the restaurant food is authentic, hygiene and tasty.

I ordered veg steam momos & cold coffee with ice cream. Food was average so if visiting Kasar Devi one can enjoy Indo- Chinese dishes.

Food here is so good definitely try the mutton items and thupka. Even their chicken soup is flavourful. The ambiance of mountains and the view from there is so good. It's located on the side of a cliff road and the view of valley is quite good.

I had heard about Dolma restaurant which is the best place to eat in Kasar Devi. The ambiance of the restaurant is very good and a beautiful view of the valley is visible from here. You can eat food while sitting inside the restaurant and you can also eat food sitting outside. I had breakfast earlier. Potato onion paratha and coffee were very tasty. So I thought I will have dinner here also. For dinner I ordered thupka and momos. I had this in my mind that Chinese food here would be very tasty but Thupka and Momos did not live up to my expectations. The reason may be that I like a little spicy thupka. Service was very good at restaurant. I was here for a day so couldn't taste more food items. Next time I would definitely like to taste Chinese and Tibetan food here.

I felt it overrated. The taste was like of any fast food center. Mutton momo was OK OK. Chilly chicken was good. Thenduk was OK, but lemon ginger rea was very good and refreshing. But getting these dishes here at Kasar is a good work in itself.

We came to visit Jageshwar Dhaam and on the way back we halted to visit this mall... We found it very nice place to visit with family... Top floor parking, Moti Mahal Deluxe, and variety of other eateries were available.. food was also tasty ... Overall a good place to hang out with family and friends

Amazing place, excellent views, and super service. We had lunch and dinner both at this place. Though it's bar, adjacent restaurant belong to same owner and food serving and billing of both is done seamlessly.

One and only places to be at for drinks in Almora. You wont find something so fine and worth it nearby. The places beautifully decorated with sort a retro and wall art scheme all had good experience. The staff was good and hospitable and the drinks were awesome.

Visiting some cafes in big cities surely generates profit and helps many workers but the restaurants in the hills are the lifeline of Uttrakhand. You not only get good food but also get food which is prepared with love, with purety, with local products of Uttrakhand. It really helps the native people of Uttrakhand to earn some money as they have very limited options for survival. Specially this restaurant serves fresh food with amazing taste. Imagine 6 people had thier buffet lunch at just 200 rupees per person.

We had heard rave reviews about the Cafe and it didn't disappoint. Overlooking the mountains an anesthetic looking Cafe that serves a variety of food. Their steps to the cafe are a little steep and probably not idle for the unfit city dwelling above 60 population. We ordered their fresh lime soda and pizza for a quick evening snack and gobbled it down as soon as it came on the table.

Ignore the comments about the bad food, we tried most of their items during our two night stay and all were amazing. Most notably the paratha! We also had like 15 lemon ginger honey tea’s on our bill, they were very good! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They took our meals to the rooftop table or to our room, whatever we asked they accommodated. The manger Austin was very friendly and spoke great English. Outside of that, the views were stunning here. You can see the 7000m tall Himalayas in the background if the clouds are gone. Only negative was our space heater wasn’t strong enough to keep the room warm during February. But not worth any less points, we just put extra clothes on. 100% would stay here again.

You can get the best view of mountains from its terrace. The room was quite good with it's price and locality. Every room have several big windows to enjoy the iconic scenes of valleys. And it's exactly same as shown by the owner. I recommended to book this place in advance and stay there for a night to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. Cons- Difficult to carry big luggage to rooms even with the help of staff. Cafe is open until 9 pm after that they provide food at room and takes a lot of time. But it's taste good.

If you like rustic places, then you would love it. I really like the ambience of their cafe and even food if good. However, rooms are very standard and commercial. The theme of cafe doesn't reach the rooms.

I stayed at Alhito for the last christmas during our trip to Kasar Devi. Location, food and service was all pretty good. They have a gorgeous cafe on the first floor which is open to outsiders as well. The menu has a wide variety of delectable dishes to choose from and prices are super affordable. They charge bonfire on hourly basis so your bonfire bill can surpass the food bill in winters!(pun intended) In-room service too was very prompt. Had a wonderful stay! Would love to come back.

Decent cafe with amazing views. Have visited couple of time here, place is nice, clean and cozy. Come up for a silent evening/afternoon ain’t nobody disturbing you here. Food and Coffee can be better not that it’s bad but surely needs improvement. I would recommend this place for the scenic view.

Amazing Cafe n resort with spectacular views, food is just awesome 👌. GM of the property, Mr. Austin is really a great person, enjoyed great hospitality. I can say it's one of the best Cafe in Kasar Devi. For stay, I would suggest to book Cottages. And best part is Kasar Devi temple is just walk in from the property. Overall it's a great place, I must visit again.

Inconsistent Food Quality and Unsettling Staff Behavior Review: I recently ordered a smokin chicken pizza from Alhito, and I was extremely disappointed by the awful quality of the food. Instead of the usual pizza sauce, it appeared that tomato ketchup was used, which completely ruined the taste. This kind of substitution is unacceptable, especially considering that I have been to Alhito before and the food has never been this awful. Furthermore, I have noticed a concerning change in the behavior of one of the staff members during my last two visits. Their demeanor was strange and off-putting, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and unsafe as a solo traveler. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any service industry making an environment unsafe for female visitors. It is disheartening to have such a negative experience, especially when Alhito used to be a place I enjoyed visiting. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and takes immediate action to address these issues. Improving the food quality and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests should be top priorities.

It's an amazing place with a great view , it's a hidden jem in the jungle. Met their owner as well and got offered a sample of bakery item as they are trying to expand. Had a chat with the owner as well highliting other key spiritual spots around Uttrakhand. They also have room to stays and the overall ambience it just great. Thank you for the hospitality.

As an architect i must say, each corner of this space is very thoughtful designed. It has a good location and ample of parking space.food is lovely ! Also, it is In contrast to all the other cafes in the area. You can definitely visit this if you are looking for a calm environment ( but not cozy like a typical hippie cafe). Overall a 5 out of 5 place with good food and good seating.

Extremely disappointing service. We didn’t even get to our food. We placed our order and waited 2 hours and still didn’t receive our food. Our food was even carelessly given to another table. Despite the unsatisfactory service, the staff had the audacity to tell us that the newer customers were prioritised and we have to wait another 30mins. We ended up having to cancel it. I consider myself a fairly patient person but limits were tested. I humbly request the establishment to work on their service and maybe have their staff undergo some training.
