What’s interesting to know is that there is a remaining Japanese cannon from WW2 inside the masjid because the locals wanted to preserve history.
Something that really bothered me after reading some negative reviews here were from people stating that Gili T is a party island and the locals need to adjust to that or that the prayers were annoying etc. I find that mind blowing and people need to know that first but foremost Indonesia in general is a Muslim country so anyone should be mindful and respectful of that. In addition to this, Gili T belongs to Lombok and that also applies to Gili Air and Gili Meno. The indigenous people from Lombok and the Gili Islands are predominantly Muslim, which again means that anyone needs to be mindful of that. The fact that people can party and behave freely in any of the Gili Islands shows that the local people are open-minded, promote diversity and encourage different customs and behaviours. In parallel, anyone visiting the islands should also be mindful of how the locals live. It shouldn’t be a zero sum game but unfortunately people have this feeling of entitlement to tell others what to do and that is where they go wrong.
So, for anyone here who is planning to post another ridiculous review, ask yourself the following: “did I try to have a conversation with the locals or do some research to understand how they live?”, “did I try to visit the masjid to speak with the management and understand how they see things that are happening in the island?” and “am I really reasonable when I expect the locals to stop with how they pray and live their lives but I can still party and behave how I want until midnight or 1 am?”.

1AM and they still scream out over the loudspeakers, even children with their broken screams, blast out the sounds similar to that of a strangled cat. God is great, god is great, over and over again. I'm pretty sure God wants you all to go to sleep and give us some peace and quiet!

This mosque is the reason why I go to Gili Trawangan for vacation with my husband. 88% Lombok people are muslims. My heart is in peace listen to all the sholawat & adzan from this mosque while I stay in the island. May Allāh keep this mosque always. Allāhu Akbar! ❤️🥰

To all the tourists who complain about the noise of the mosque... the native population on the island is muslim like 88% of the indonesians.

As visitors to Gilli Trawangan, a predominantly Muslim island, we should be aware of their customs and appreciate their hospitality. The people here are known for their warmth and kindness, and they welcome tourists with open arms. It's important to show the same respect in return.
If the Adhan is not to your liking, it's essential to remember that you chose to visit this island, and it's a matter of personal preference. It's not appropriate to impose our beliefs or preferences on others in their homeland. It would be similar to complaining about the cold in the North Pole - it's simply a part of the environment and should be expected.
Let's strive to be open-minded and respectful when we visit other countries and experience their unique cultural practices. This will not only enhance our travel experiences but also help us grow as individuals.
The most shouting and noisy mosque ever(((
Shouts for whole hour non-stop, VERY loudly(( not all people are muslim, and they need to sleep and enjoy their vacation, here impossible(( some take away their sound system, let them prey by only voice
Gili's economy is almost exclusively funded by tourists, the majority of whom are not Muslim and would prefer not to be woken up at 5am, or listen to 30 minutes of prayer on the beach 5 times a day. Barely anybody at the mosque, suggest turn down the volume, especially for early morning call to prayer, even by Indonesian standards this mosque is extremely loud.
Never miss my sholatulsubuh every morning when I was there after that sat at the beach to watch the sun rise. It was a moment to see as the sun pierce out of the horizon .. سبحان الله

I recently had the opportunity to visit Masjid Agung Baiturrahman in Gili Trawangan and perform Friday prayer. To be honest, I was not expecting to find such a beautiful mosque in a tourist spot filled with hotels, bikini shops, and alcohol vendors. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that many of the workers and sellers on the island are Muslim, and the mosque is a testament to their devotion.
The mosque is well-built and can accommodate a large number of worshippers. Despite the hot and sunny weather outside, the interior of the mosque was cool and calming. I was particularly impressed to see whiteboards set up for learning Quran and Hadith, which shows that the mosque is not only a place of worship but also a center of learning.
Performing Friday prayer in Masjid Agung Baiturrahman was an unforgettable experience for me. The atmosphere was serene and peaceful, and the sense of community among the worshippers was palpable. It was heartwarming to see people from different backgrounds and nationalities coming together to pray.
Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Masjid Agung Baiturrahman if you find yourself in Gili Trawangan. It's a great way to connect with the local Muslim community and experience the beauty of Islamic culture in a unique and unexpected setting
This mosk has one of the most annoying 'singers' of all time. Seriously makes me crazy!!! At 04:30 am prepare yourself to be waked by this singer at 120 decibels. I just can't take it anymore. Oh my god, it goes on for hours and hours!!! Not just a prayer here and there, NO! They feel the need to do 30-minute sessions of Allah Akhbar 6 to 8 times a day. Not trying to be disrespectful but this is just crazy, the island is 80% foreigners and tourists, yet they still continue like the island is full of hardcore religious people. I was curious and checked one of the prayer gatherings, barely anyone attends so why 'sing' for hours a day? It's a mistery for everyone on the island.
Eventually it made me leave the island and go back to Bali after 6 days, i just couldn't take another minute of this. So happy now that i'm gone.
Tourists who cannot stand the sound of the ezaan can go on holiday to another island in their own country of origin. It is THES people's island not yours.

The Gili Trawangan Turtle Hatchery, located on the island's harbor, offers visitors a unique opportunity to observe and learn about these fascinating creatures. While there is only one swing nearby the hatchery, a more beautiful one can be found on the other side of the island. The island also boasts hotels with excellent customer service and picturesque sunsets.
Don't waist you time there to look for a swing nearby the harbour. You will find only one there, but the really nice one is exactly on the other side of the isle take the short cut or a 'taxi', the nice hotels are also on the other side of the Isle - beautiful sunset, very good customer service. They played some movies in the evening.

Someone told me they moved the turtle hatchery somewhere else post earthquake. Could even see some wreckages. Still a very nice beach regardless. Remind me of what most beaches in Bali used to be.

Gili island is all about nature. Go snorkeling for around 150-200k IDR inclusive of food. It's really worth every single penny. They will take u to 🐢 turtle Point, Super Statues, Gili Air followed by lunch. I personally suggest you to of public snorkeling rather then the private one.
We took a day tour for visiting all three islands of Gili. I must say it was worth it. The guide was really fantastic. One of my friends didn't know swimming so he took my friend with him to ensure that he saw the turtle and the statues and the fishes. Totally, totally loved this place.

Clear water, Fresh Air, Great Vibe, It's always great to come and enjoy Gili Trawangan
No need to go to deep water to see turtles..just a few metres from the beach and the turtles are there. Water is crystal clear and only 1-1.5 metres deep so it's safe for children. Just a reminder not to touch the turtles no matter how adorable they may look.

Went here twice while in Gili Trawangan, due to the high regard for the burgers and chicken! On our first visit we had the burgers, and while they were good, I can't say that they were the best option. The patty was really good, but the rest of the burger was a little bland. The second visit we had the whole chicken, and holy... make sure that you bring a friend. We had a full chicken split between the both of us and the portion was more than enough. The gravy and vegetables were awesome and had just the right amount of spices. The chicken was a bit dry, but we came in the afternoon so I dont think it was during their peak time.
All in all, I would skip the burger and go right for the chicken and would definitely recommend.

Great spot for dinner before your night out. We shared a whole roast chicken with veggies which was superb. Cheap beer during happy hour to wash it down and the lads in there are great!
Two words: ROASTED CHICKEN. Their house specialty. Perfectly seasoned with delectable skin, served with potatoes and veggies and a side of homemade gravy. This meal saved me on an otherwise soulless, rainy day.

Roasted chicken with veggies was delicious (and it is huge 😅) really good and well priced. My partner had chicken schnitzel hamburger and he enjoyed it as well.
Food was fantastic, gravy as good as you can get in the UK. Smoothie was very refreshing and loved the cinnamon in there also. Tim was fantastic with his service and very friendly. If I wasn’t leaving tomorrow, I would be eating here everyday.

Best meal(s) I'm Gili T! You have to try to the roast chicken with gravy. The short ribs and chicken schnitzel were outstanding too. We had to go back twice.

Very nice dining. The local staff is very kind. Tree one of the waiters served me perfectly . I‘ll recommend it to 100%. best thing about it is the German König Ludwig Weißbier with the homemade roasted chicken.
Wow what a great meal! Had half a chicken with roasted vegetables.. It was so delicious and very big and at an excellent price. Would recommend for sure if you’re feeling extra hungry.. The seasoning was great and the taste of the crispy chicken skin was amazing.. The whole garlic cloves with the vegetables was a huge bonus,can’t get enough of that..
The staff here are so welcoming and kind! We got half chicken with gravy and veg, classic and amazingly done. The roast was so good we came back the next day! They have a supply of games to play while you’re there like cards etc. Highly recommend especially if you’re a Brit missing home!
I had the most amazing meal here! Tuna tataki tasted wonderful and the shrimp toast (can't remember the exact name) were both amazing. I came for chicken and they were out. But I'm much happier with what I ordered then I would of been with any roasted chicken. Highly recommend
Amazing roast chicken and veg. As others have said, the gravy is fab. Garlic prawns were a treat. Nice cocktails with imported liquor. We went with a group of about 15 people and everyone raved about it.

When visiting Gili Trawangan, it's important to be cautious about the local alcohol due to past issues with laced spirits. However, the island offers more than just parties and beer. The Trawangan Night Market is a popular spot for families and backpackers alike in the evening. It features open-air traditional food stalls offering affordable grilled seafood like crabs, king prawns, fish, and squid as well as local desserts.
It’s lil expensive but worth the visit.
Shoutout to the guy who works at the very first store. He is doing his best.
If you love seafood, I highly recommend black jack fish and spicy prawns.
The fish was absolutely tender and the prawn was so flavorful.
The inside of the market was super warm so I was literally sweating when I was dining that night.🥵

Not so many options, the prices are quite expensive. 100K for medium-sized fish like Kerapu. 50K for half portions of green clam, which is not so fresh, and we ended up cannot eat it. Overall, the prices weren't on par with the taste. It's better to eat at the restaurant nearby. You'll get a better taste of food with the same amount of prices
Cool dinner place with plenty of fish & meat (mostly on sticks) to choose from. Various stalls have similar offerings and you get to chose side dishes with any sticks/ fish. We spent 200k IDR for a red snapper and 4 skewers (25k each) plus 2 side plates as well as 25k for desserts. Overall value for money could be better for being street food. Also heard other people getting way higher prices at the same stand
Our 1st stop for dinner at Gili Trawangan , we just walk here from our resort , place was smoky with the charcoal smoke , my friends who frequented this island told us to choose the 1st stall on my left hand side as the meat was fresher , we didn’t bargain much though , when you order the bbq meat , compliments of 3 till 4 types vegetables selection for you to choose , I choose brinjal , tofu , four angle beans and risoles , I like the vegetables from here . Yummy . Then we had fresh local orange juice and Nutella crepe as dessert . Ok for the experience

Nice attraction for tourists who wanna feel a bit mir local, and only chance to get some dinner on the Island after 10 p.m. Quality seems ok and safe, variety is huge, prices are pretty much the same as in the restaurants at the beach. Might be worth to check out options in the back - surprisingly even beer had a different (cheaper) price there.
Great place if you want seafood bbq at night. I’ve tried several food stand but the tasty one actually located across the street. The one with blue tend and the price also lower than the food stand inside the market.
Inside the market normally price for fish was 50k with rice, but the one outside the market will only charge you 30k.
And don’t forget to try mie ayam ceker next to the night market, taste really good!
Place to enjoy your dinner in Gili Trawangan if you don't have much choices about where to eat. Open at night and they sell various kinds of seafood as well as green food (vegetables, beans, etc). Prices are varied based on what you order, so make sure to ask it first and what includes. I bought one big fish for 120.000 rupiah or USD 10 including rice and vegetables for 5 people. But it's not cooked well. Tell them to cook yours well when you order.
Bargain 60k per stick of seafood. Somebody mentioned the stall near the entrance is fresh & good. Free nasi campur when you order enough skewers. The sticks were grilled with a sauce which was very meh. The nutella crepe stall was delicious though..
Lovely food market from 6.30pm till late every evening - I’d recommend to try some Indonesia food!

They have a great range of fresh seafood and also skewers of beef,chicken and vegetable salads.
They offer deals and tempt you to spend more... which is ok as it is still likely to be better value than most restaurants. It helps to get here early (before 7pm) and secure a place at a table and ideally one member of the group can anchor the space while the rest browse and choose. For the best seafood you may want to ask them not to use the standard spicy sauce. It seems an intense but worthwhile experience. Enjoy.

Loved the Tuna skewers but prices could be cheaper. I also think the meat should be protected from flies, maybe the food could be kept in containers, or with shrink wrap or a fan. Overall a nice experience but could be improved. Good assortment of sides with skewers.
Just a local experience here to have some grilled fish/seafood. Food is generally okay, some seafood prices are so high you might have to be very good at bargaining. I had the Grouper (ikan kerapu) for 150k (including rice and veggie), it’s so fresh and delicious. Tried the skewers (2 skewers of your choice Rp 50k including rice and veggies) and it’s a miss. But all in all, it’s a good experience!
I rarely like to leave poor reviews, but people need to know that this “night market” isn’t the best. I recommend going to enjoy the experience, but be cautious. Let’s start with the good things: fresh juice and desserts are safe and plentiful! The fish is pretty much the same at each stall and many are not on ice. The other foods you can get are room temp at best and the people working the stalls are constantly batting away the flies. None of this scared me away and we were adventurous… after sampling plenty of the ready made food, like mine goreng, tofu, tempe, samosas and spring rolls, we then ordered seafood skewers: octopus, calamari and mussels. They said they would bring them to my table, but didn’t so I went to ask for them and they were cold. They reheated them on the grill and we tried a bite of each (not much food to cause all the havoc we then endured). This is how we got Bali Belly in Gili T. I also want to clarify that my whole group is pretty adventurous and loves to try new food and we rarely have issues with adjusting to new cultures foods, this was a result of seafood not kept at a proper temp. So in all of this, enjoy the experience, but choose wisely. (If you end up like me, get the activated charcoal at the market, it will help!)

All stalls have the same prices (arranged), so choose those you see best looking food. Usually the first one on the entrance from the sea, at your left, is the busiest and the best.
If you are a group, send a friend to scout for seating, it's usually really busy.
Lots of people, not really crowded as in low season. Good food, still a bit pricey for locals but much less than a restaurant's price. Lots of options, and all have good taste too!
The food here was great, you choose the type of seafood/meats you want, either on Skewers or whole, then they grill it for you fresh on the grill. This also comes with 5 different sides, which are all delicious also.
The service was great also, all the workers were very friendly and helpful with ordering the food. They have crepe booths also and fresh juices, when you order they bring it to your table.
The atmosphere is very lively, the staff in the booths are funny and friendly. There are also booths behind the food that sells other merchandise.

Impressive selection of fresh seafood! Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Meals come with a selection of vegetable sides, sauces, and rice/noodles. Always negotiate the price beforehand to avoid surprises. The place is packed and vibrant - lots of people all eating together on long tables. Lots of energy around.
Came here to get the king prawns and barracuda. Paid 300K for 2 prawns and 100K for 4 skewers of barracuda.
Only bad thing was the guy mistakenly gave us an order of octopus which was sitting on our table for 5 minutes before he came back. I ended up paying 100K for it and no choice had to eat some of it despite being so full already.
Nonetheless, this place is an experience.
Can't recommend this place at all. Shout out to the vendors who are doing their best but everything is just the same. The food is completely tailored to those who like bland food but think it's local. The fish is not fresh and usually covered by flies. You do get 5 sides when you order skewers but they're just cold and as bland as the rest of the stuff. Can find way better food elsewhere. It's just a tourist trap.

Gilli T’s biggest rip off!
Background: we’ve travelled Asia for a couple of months, last week in Bali we ordered a single stick for IDR 1,000 and on Lombok (in the top rated restaurant) a portion of 4 for IDR 20,000
We approached the stall, located front right corner as you face the beach, and looked at the menu. The server was chatty, very outgoing.
We asked for chicken sate and the server immediately picked up 4 sticks (important to remember this), we then chose another 4 varieties and he picked up 4 sticks each time.
The advertised price, as shown on the menu, was IDR 25,000
Food delivered, it was all ok, tasty, octopus severely overcooked but no dramas.
Went to pay the bill, to find it was 4 times the expected amount!
The server pointed out the cost shown was PER STICK, plus a COOKING FEE!
My Wife asked where this was shown on the menu, and he laughed, and was very disrespectful. He pointed out (which we didn’t check) everyone does this.
We asked for a receipt, which he got wrong, added extra we hadn’t had, and got the amounts wrong.
Utterly terrible, staff don’t care, they want your money and want to rip you off.
Total cost for the satay was €40!

Something you have to experience at least once. Good food, very cool atmosphere. Always ask the price before hand. Choose the ones that are a bit more busy so the food is more fresh. If you can't handle smoke from bbq's don't sit inside the big tent. Try some sweets for desert for sure!
If it were possible I wouldn't even give it 1 star. I ordered a lobster, price was very different on the menu than he LATER told me. I paid 50€ for a lobster that didn't even taste good. I told him that I didn't want the lobster anymore after he told me the price and he proceeded to tel me that he had already cut and cooked it although I saw the lobster in a water bucket. Then he quickly threw it in the pan in front of my face and told me to pay now. That's not even the worst part. The lobster was served with steamed rice and vegetables. I took one bite of the rice then when I stood up to go leave I saw them brining my rice plate which had other dirty plates stacked on top of mine back to the kitchen AND RESERVING THEM TO OTHER CUSTOMERS.
Extremely disappointed, praying I don't get Bali belly, and almost got into a fight with the owner. DEF DONT RECOMMEND!!!
Update: me and my friend both have explosive diarrhea right now. Do what you will with this information.

Amazing place to eat. You won't have to wait an hour for your meal!!! Service is really fast (considering Gilli T). Staff are nice and friendly and food is tasty and fresh. Pastries are home baked. Cinnamon rolls are delicious and breakfast is amazing. Air conditioned is a plus!! You can eat in the beach, ground floor in the Cafe or upstairs.

Came here for coffee. We got small latte and medium latte. Was good but too much milk / liquid for a latte. Couldn’t really taste the espresso part. I was expecting the size of a medium latte would be the size of the small that’s given.

Best food we had on Gili T without any doubts ! We had 5 meals there, everything from smothies, food, deserts were very very good !
Amazing cafe for breakfast. It's right across from the harbor. We tried a Sweet and Salty Bagel with extra smoked salmon, and I've never eaten such a delicious bagel in my life. Coffee is also the best and don’t miss the banoffee cake. You have to definitely check it out!
Lovely little cafe close to the port.
We came for breakfast and had the spinach feta omelette and a smoothie bowl.
Both were really tasty and the iced coffees were BANGING!
Nothing fancy but good food and chilled vibe. They also donate some proceeds to the cats and horses on the island and have lots of good vegan options.
We’ll definitely be coming back whilst we wait for our ferry.

The only negative is the extra service, tax, and credit card fees. But you pay a little more for the quality.
Baguette for Banh Mi was really crunchy and nice, but filling.... 😡 Quiche, the base was good but again I don't think shitake mushrooms work for quiche.
But quite decent, the portion tho... It's huge.

Absolutely loved this cafe in Gili! We went there twice for brunch because the food was so good! The ambience is perfect to have a chill brunch or to even finish your work while sipping on coffee.
Our favourite dishes were
1) the spinach English muffin
2) breakfast burrito beef
3) red pesto pasta chicken
Ofcourse their iced mocha with oat milk was yum! Must visit when you are in Gili!
Visited this cafe because my friends recommended it.
When I arrived at around 11am, the cafe was a bit packed because it was almost lunch time. Luckily we found some free seats outside, overlooking the harbor and the strait.
I ordered sushi maki while my mum ordered nasi goreng. Price and taste are good. A friend of mine ordered a cinnamon roll and it was delish too!
Because we loved the ambience and the food of this cafe, the next day we came here again fore lunch. This time I ordered egg ben and my mum ordered lasagna. Again, they nailed it.
Would recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Gili Trawangan.
I highly recommend Kayu cafe as a very tasty western cafe to stop by when you are on Gili T. They offer a huge menu with super tasty coffee, food and pastries!
Also, like in many spots on the island, the service is very good, staff is super friendly and polite!
We especially loved our sweet Waitress - her name was Suryani and she was very sweet and courteous! We would love to return to Kayu cafe on our next visit !
We came here as soon as we landed at Gili for a quick juice stop. The Minty Skin Tonic has a very unique taste. Meanwhile, the pineapple and watermelon taste from Tropical Refresher reminded me of the juice I always drank in front of my school back in the day. Sweet and fresh!
This is the best place for breakfasts on Gili T. All dishes were delicious and, what is also important, they were fresh, big, quickly prepared, good, and with stable quality, like McDonald's. I ate there about 15 times during my long stay (3 weeks) and can say that I had no issues with the food or my stomach afterwards. They have an awesome smoothie called Green Mustache which is a jam! By the way, all breakfast dishes are worth trying. My favorite was avocado toast with real (not ham) bacon. The iced long black was also good. They also have delicious desserts! I ensure you that the lemon tart, banoffee, and chocolate tart are the best. If you like experiments, you should try the avocado cheesecake! It has a smooth taste with a small avocado note at the end. The fruit platter is also big and good to go with :) The staff is always kind, charming, and ready to help.

Walked by and was captivated by the atmosphere inside and variety of pastries and food.
Had a pineapple juice (orange not available), an ice tea and a bananoffee pie slice.
Very friendly staff, very quick service. Bananoffee was good but slightly too much gelantine or other gelatinous binder. Ice tea simple and good, Pineapple juice same.
Good experience, I'll be back.

Avocado on toast was great
worst customer service and food I have ever experienced! The cream cheese spread and mushrooms tasted rotten and when I asked for extra bread to have the avocado with it they were angry for not wanting to eat my food and should've let them know to have the spread aside before ordering my food assuming it'd taste horrible!!!!!!! and charging extra for just a single slice of bread!!!!
Make sure to check out the cafe next door which is called "Hello Capitano" for an amazing service, delicious breakfast, and tasty coffee.

I like coffee and desserts here. And their food is not bad. I came here often. but there is a big minus - its staff. There is a lot of people from staff, he stands behind the bar and talks loudly - this is not comfortable for the your customers, they has nothing better to do and when asked to take an order - they refused. Why so much staff if they can't even take an order? I hope owner or manager get it
I ate here twice in one day. The food is fantastic and incredibly fresh. For early lunch I got the avocado toast, breakfast smoothie, and vegan Snickers bar. All three items tasted delicious and were super flavorful. I was honestly surprised at just how good it was. For dinner I got the Kayu burger which was also excellent and their fried are thick and have skin on and were also SO good. The only thing that was kinda meh was the milkshake (it was too icy for me and not really creamy ), but I'm not deducting in the rating bc overall this place is great, clean, friendly staff, and really diverse and delicious menu items.
I only came for the coffee. I like to have coffee first thing and I found many of the cafes were not ready when they said they were open and plenty of them have bad coffee.
I walked into this place at 7am when they said they opened, They were. I had a really good coffee and that was it.
I like a piccolo - I know first world issue but this was one of the few places that understood and made a great piccolo. We went every morning from then. Very nice cafe inside and I saw the plates of people eating and the looked great.
I had lunch here at Kayu, the Halloumi Salad + side of smashed Tofu. Everything was delicious, well done, with flavour.
Price was also OK, the place is beautiful but small so need to be lucky to have your space! It has wifi and good sweets also.

And like many places they charge you 3 % porcentaje extra for card payment. But not every place in the island is charging this percentage. So it’s two taxes that you were not expecting.

Casa Vintage Beach is a charming bar and cafe located in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. The venue offers a unique experience with its focus on Jamaican cuisine and vintage colonial decor. I would definitely recommed you to spend an evening at this place if you have time. It is not just food but the whole experience. Johnny advises well on what to eat and pairs the main dish well with the sides. He really cooks with love and would never serve something that isn't close to perfection. It could take a while before you get your food because of it, but it is 100% worth the wait (we ate at 2 other restaurants on the island and they took long with not even half as good results and company). The salad was amazing with homemade Tzatziki sauce and served in advance, so that it was easier to wait for the beef stew, which was well spiced and the meat very tender (owner even asked how spicy we like our food and cooked accordingly). You have to try their homemade banana wine! You have to make a reservation a day before because the ingredients are bought fresh on the day and some dishes (like stew) take half a day to cook. Just text them or pop by the place. As students we try to stay on a budget, but for this place it was no issue at all to spend more.

Such a nice location. Especially if you manage to get a seat right on the beach for sunset.
The food is great. We ordered the Jerk Chicken and the Yellow fish curry and both were very good. The smoothies and fruit wines were very nice too. We had the mango wine.
The array of spices they have is pretty impressive too, they seem to grow, dry and pack them up for sale too.
Such a nice relaxed vibe. The owners are from Jamaica and they were in the kitchen. The staff are very attentive but easy going at the same time.

My favorite restaurant on Gili T. A must try. The food is so delicious and good portions. I had the Jamaican yellow fish and it was so so delicious. Vegetarian options available too. Come here for sunset. They have such a nice chill area at the beach with hanging chairs. The vibe is super nice here.
This was one of my favorite places in the entire island. I loved the ambiance and overall atmosphere here. Their homemade fruit wines are so delicious and are a must try! The food was just as delicious, and the owners are such a lovely couple! Thank you for giving us a wonderful date night!
wow wow wow, this place provided a true taste sensation! Friendly staff and a chill atmosphere. It is surely one of the best restaurants on the island. The dumplings... where do I start... and then the chicken... It fell off the bone, so tenderly prepared, delicious! Oh yes, the Langos, definitely try it as an easy tasty starter. And don't forget dessert. They use herbs and ingredients from their own garden. They have a homemade wine with various flavors, very surprising and refreshing. We are curious about the other dishes, tomorrow we will go there again for dinner!

Wow, where to start with this little hidden gem on the Sunset Coast of Gili T. From the relaxed outdoor decor to the herbs and spices being laid out in the sun to dry, from the very beginning I got the impression that the food would speak for itself. Being from Miami, FL, I am very familiar with Jamaican cuisine and I did not know what to expect when I ordered the Jamaican style Chicken dumplings l, the casava chips, and the bold but delicious Jamaican chicken curry. All I can say was that it was an explosion of flavor and of course spice, that literally brought a tear to my eyes. The food was top tier and presented in a fashion of the likes of the high end restaurants of modern cosmopolitan cities like Miami, Sydney, London, Or Barcelona. I was left speechless in such a good way. Don’t even get me started on their home grown organic wines which included flavors like dragonfruit and pineapple. This is a Must go for anyone visiting Gili T. Bravo, to the chef and the wonderful staff who graciously greeted me as I paid for my meal.
Advice to make reservations, I saw the waiter turning away customer (you can actually dine at the beach ) there is table & chairs situated near the sunset beach , we prefer to be seated at the beach watching the sunset while having our dinner here . The ambience was lovely 🥰. One of the better restaurants around at Gili Trawangan . Jamaican inspire food , chicken , beef and fish was fresh and tender infused with flavorful spice and herbs .

Homely, authentic food with a relaxed vibe- we had the yellow curry fish and vegan stew, both full of flavour and hearty. Banana wine a must! Goes really well with the food.
Lovely place, tasty food, large plates, portions are not too big though, I'd say standard for Indonesia, good enough for a small person.

We came here 3 times because the food is that good!! The homemade wine is delightful, the meat falls off the bone, the sauces are delicious. We had jerk chicken, chicken curry and the slow cooked beef which were some of the best meals we’ve ever eaten! The Caribbean patties are so tasty as well, so reasonably priced and lovey staff! Cannot miss this place if you visit Gili T!
We also found this place on our last night. So happy we did. It’s our favorite place on the island. When we first rode by it was empty. Within an hour it was full. Warning, the Jamaican rum was strong! 😜
The most amazing food I’ve ever had, I couldn’t fault anything! The flavours we so fresh and unique, you can tell that they take such care, pride and joy in their food. The staff were so friendly, I will definitely be coming back here.

Casa Vintage Beach is, in my opinion, the best restaurant on Gili T! I was impressed from the start - the dumplings are simply incredibly delicious, and the beef and fish dishes are a true delight. You'll be truly pampered here! The staff is extremely friendly, and the owner personally takes excellent care of the guests. I would come back here anytime because the combination of excellent food and first-class service makes Casa Vintage Beach an absolute highlight on the island. Highly recommended!
A superb island style restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. Everything was thoughtfully crafted from special Caribbean style menu to garden feel. Even the bathroom was an experience with a sand buried toilet seat.
The patties were to die for and the home brewed wine went well with the food.

We stumbled over this restaurant while looking for a place to have dinner. Surely, the place is charming & nice staff but food did not have much flavor. They serve Jamaican fusion cuisine and the drinks were also mix of several ingredients with confused flavors. Also, the menu has very limited options to choose from.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend and was very impressed. Definitely a spot for a nicer dinner in Gili T. We started with the goat tacos which were really good and different than most things you’d try at another restaurant. For dinner we had the salmon & the ribeye. Salmon was really good and the pasta it came with was great. The ribeye was surprisingly (cause it’s an island) really tasty and cooked to perfection (med rare). Service was also what you’d expect from a higher end restaurant. Great overall.

Recommend: I have eaten here a couple of times, once for breakfast and one evening meal. Food is fresh, tasty, well presented, excellent selection of dishes for all to enjoy.
Service could be better, the staff don't seem very attentive, may need to shout, flash your phone or get up and ask. However once you get their attention service is professional and efficient.
Lovely dining experience inside or out.
Last point, I was traveling with an older member of the family and noticed the floor levels change unexpectedly, the natural colours especially at night could catch you out, so watch your step and enjoy your meal.
Everything was excelent, foods, drinks, staaff services just perfect, first time we had dinner here and sitting upstairs with the sea view make everything completely wonderful.
Highly recommended for romantic dinner, absolutely will come back again.

Needs more customer service training. Mostly, I observed that they’re responsive with typical caucasian guests. They immediately provided the menu but just because I am asian looking , the courtesy has been vastly different. I was waiting for 10
minutes then I have no other choice but to approach that waiter and he talked to me in local language and rudely handed over the menu. It took again another 20 minutes before he took the order, but I did observe that they were tending immediately to caucasian guests who just came. Plus, that same rude waiter again assuming i’m local and taking my order rudely. I have to snapped him and say “i don't speak your language”

This place is legit! We stopped in for a big lunch after a day of snorkeling. You must try the goat tacos, pumpkin appetizer, pork belly sandwich, and fish sandwich. Save room for the Gili Nuts dessert!
