This was a little gem with lots of wildlife. The people who worked here were very accommodating. They even called our last day before giving away our spot. The T heads were a bit noisy due to the strong currents on the river, but it was well protected for the 45 Knot winds that we had to deal with. It is not close enough for an Uber ride to Charleston, but if the Charleston marinas are full, this is a great backup. John's Island had a grocery store and many cute shops. We really enjoyed the area. Decent parking lot as well. The outdoor restaurant had live music every night, and it was good music, not loud and penalizing. I would go back to it again.

The crew at the dock were very helpful in getting me safely tied up despite the heavily running current.

My hubby took 2nd in a 5k 23min 40 sec he is 60 I'm so proud wt a great day and the race was well put together enjoyed our day 100%

Love the staff, people are here are very kind and laid back. I enjoy spending time on the dock slip I rent. It’s fun here, and laid back. Decent food and amenities. 💖 Forgot to mention that the sunsets at Bohicket Marina are some of the best I’ve ever witnessed. Want to see a beautiful sunset this is the place to be, and the dolphin 🐬 are likely to be seen as well.

We rented a boat for a 1/2 day. Staff is awesome, boat was perfect(no issues) and everyone was happy! Looking forward to renting again. If you're not renting, it's worth coming here to walk the dock and grab an ice cream with the kids.

Wow! This marina is a great place to be! Wonderfully maintained with an equally wonderful staff. The crew members were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and really helped make this a pleasant experience. Definitely coming back here with the family.

I've hardly left my house in the past couple years (had a baby, pandemic, etc) and walking around the marina at sunset made me feel like everything was right in the world. Live music, outdoor dining, ice cream, boats everywhere, and the best spot in the area to watch the sunset. And the sunset was incredible. Thanks for arranging that for me!

Went over to Kiawah for a round of golf with some friends from out of town this week and ended up coming back the next day to rent a boat because they wanted to catch some fish. Ended up renting a boat from Bohicket Marina. The staff there is awesome and gave us some tips on where to find fish. Rental process was smooth and super easy to do. The boats were in great shape. We had a blast and caught some redfish! Awesome day on the water

Outstanding staff here. I’ve been here almost a year and have not had a single bad experience. If there’s an issue, they are prompt. If you are causing an issue, they are polite. Also, sunsets are amazing. Could not be happier. Thanks, guys.

If you need some clothing or groceries this is it on Kiawah. It's not cheap (duh) but it is here. I only have been in the grocery (standard Harris Teeter with some silly upscale stuff like duck eggs and ridiculous wine), but my wife loved every visit. Plenty of chairs and open areas for folks that don't enjoy retail stuff.

I recently stayed on the island and found Freshfield Village. There is a full grocery store, great shops, cafes and a good selection of restaurants. The village setting is pleasant to walk around or sit down by the water and chill. Luckily the weekend I was there they had a Jazz Festival on the green which was great! I highly recommend checking it out if you stay on the island.

The Harris Teeter here is amazing. Check out their meat and seafood department. Also has some amazing sushi plates you can grab. Never had better pre-made sushi.

Freshfields is an upscale shopping and eating experience with places such as Lululemon, Southern Tide, Fuji and King Street Grille. Plenty of options for food and shopping and easy to walk around with a Harris Teeter supermarket within the complex.

This is a quaint little faux village on Kiawah Island. Shopping is geared towards the lady’s. There is a pleasant village square with comfortable seating for the guys. It’s clean and there are nice restaurants to enjoy. Only reason it’s not higher than three stars are the prices. They are, well, ridiculously high. Services the well off on the island to be sure.

Very nice place to visit. Great stores however they price resort style. To be expected for the type of shopper they look for.

Fresh produce. Excellent selection of seafood. Very nice customer service. Has a hot food section for easy grab and go items like chicken wings and rotisserie chicken

Great restaurants and businesses but management of the property couldn’t be any worse. Very racist repair man that talks constantly about owners of establishments there as if they aren’t paying his salary being there. So confusing. Obviously the world is too far ahead for him. Really not sure why he would say any of the things he does to employees of the owners he talking about but hey, I never said he seemed very bright.

Love it! Wonderful shops and restaurants. Highly recommend visiting while you're on Kiawah or Seabrook.

I work here at Freshfields Village and I travel over an hour to get there each day because I love how I am treated by the people there. They make me feel right at home.

The only reason I gave three stars is bc Fuji and Hedges are awesome. Everything else is terribly overpriced and not worth it. That would be the King street Grill, The candle shop, Cantina 76, Harris Teeter, all the merch shops and the sports store.

Beautiful shopping village directly across from the Andell Hotel. Games and evening movies for the kiddies. Live music as well. Pizza, pasta, burgers, beer, and Ben and Jerry's all in one place. Skin care and bookstores also in the village. Quaint, not too crowded. Decent parking. There's also a small parking lot in the back of the village, near the pond.

This a great place to stop and walk around before hitting the beach. They have an old style pharmacy/soda fountain that makes you feel like you're in a "Grease" movie set. It's a charming and quaint American village.

The Kiawah Lululemon store has the rudest employees. They openly criticize their customers’ attire and looks. Unless you want to be humiliated, never enter their door. Very disappointed. Stores at Fresh Fields in Kiawah should have more class !!!

Spent the weekend in Seabrook Island for a bachorette party, and Water Dog Paddle Co. couldn't have been a more perfect way to kick off the festivities! Ryan is beyond an amazing guild, the nature was breath taking and the critters we saw along the way, made this such an awesome experience. Soo thankful for all the photos but not having to worry about taking them! Will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area, with everyone I know.

Ryan is a really cool guy with a lot of knowledge about paddle boarding. I never paddle boarded before, however he taught me in no time! His upbeat personality added to the fun of paddle boarding. He took some amazing pictures and even let us stay out there past our time. I 100% recommend to anyone looking to have a good time!

My sisters and I had so much fun paddle boarding on Trophy Lakes. Ryan was super friendly and helpful. He provided just the right amount of instruction for beginners and friendly conversation. I would recommend this to any person, group, or family in the Charleston area!

I had the most amazing experience with Ryan and Water Dog Paddle. I booked a private individual paddle board session and Ryan showed me some incredible techniques to improve my experience. I got to try one of his new inflatable boards and it was absolutely amazing. He is a phenomenal guide and I would recommend his business to anyone visiting the Kiawah Island area!

Awesome experience. Ryan and his crew made our first experience on stand-up paddles amazing. We did the morning dolphin paddle tour after weather issues canceled our evening tour. It was the best way to start the morning seeing so many dolphins and learning about the area. Ryan's personality is great, getting to know everyone personally and making a point to talk about the wildlife, eco system and history of the area throughout the tour. Well worth it and will most definitely come back. Thanks for a wonderful time on the water!

Our 2 hours of kayaking with Ryan, our Water Dog Paddle guide, was such fun! The time flew by! The scenes were breathtakingly beautiful. Ryan was knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about the marshes which made for a great adventure. He was FABULOUS with the kids of all ages! We highly recommend Water Dog if you’re looking to get out on the water and want to learn about low country ecology.

My family wanted to paddle board on our vacation and three of us were first timers. Ryan was amazing! He was super personable, knowledgeable about the area and gave our group an extensive tour. It was beautiful at sunset. Well worth the money, highly recommend!!!!And most of us successfully stayed on our boards lol!

We went kayaking with Ryan off the Kiawah bridge with our 7 person crew. with me, my wife and 5 teens. Ryan made us feel right at home, sharing stories, jokes and lots of education about the ecosystem. We all felt safe, comfortable and relaxed. And Ryan was the trip photographer, so no worries about juggling phones, photography and paddling. Can't wait to see the pix. Can't recommend highly enough.

Recently went on a fantastic group paddle and kayak with Ryan. My two teens and I launched with Ryan near Kiawah. It was a great experience: it was educational re the ecosystems and how to paddleboard efficiently, a pleasant work out, and helped us see beautiful scenery and wildlife. Highly recommend!! Ryan did a great job dealing with all ages and abilities. Just love his motto and passionate spirit. This was a highlight of our trip, and we will return.

Golf, broad beaches, tennis, equestrian, indoor and outdoor pool options, kayak launches, fitness facilities with variety of classes, easy biking on all roads. If you are seeking a gated community with an easy, slow-paced atmosphere, this is it. People looking for night-life, partying, loud music, it won't be for you.

Beautiful clubhouse directly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Nicely decorated inside and out. Very private with gate entry only for those who live there, invited guests and those renting/leasing a home. Equestrian stables on the property and wildlife is plentiful. Saw gators, deer and turtles in a very short time after arriving. Beautiful private beach, as well.

Ambience unmatched, impeccable service, and delicious food and drinks

These are two reviews: First is of the Palmetto Room at the club and not the golf course. We had a great dining experience here. I got the prime rib special and was cooked medium rare as requested. I also enjoyed a great bloody mary and ceasar salad. Wine by the bottle was half off. You must be a member to eat here or be a vacation renter to get a temporary membership. Excellent service. Second Review is of the golf course Crooked Oaks, which I played today. The course is beautiful and could be played by beginners without being overwhelmed. The course is in excellent shape with water hazards scattered throughout. Greens are very good to excellent shape. It is a private course and you must be a member or be a temporary member by renting a house. 4.5 stars.

We have vacationed at Seabrook for over 25 years. It is the most beautiful island and we have so many wonderful memories there. Unfortunately the wealthy retirees spend all their time making rules for the visitors. When you arrive you are given a list of their ridiculous rules such as "no ball throwing in the pool". If you are not a member of the club, you must take a separate sidewalk to the beach (is this even legal?) and can only dine at the seaside restaurant at certain times. They have decided that on the island you must walk on the opposite side of the street than the rest of the country observes. They will stop and reprimand you if you don't. All of this does not make for a very relaxing vacation. We will spend our money elsewhere going forward!

I ordered medium rare, not medium and certainly not a "chewy" steak. When it was brought to me they asked me to cut into the steak to ensure that it was correctly cooked. I cut in and told them that I ordered medium rare and that was not what it was, but the waiter turned around and walked away without one word. This place is not worth the cost. Period.

Spectacular views! Great beach to walk on every morning & evening. We found a sand dollar while strolling the beach. The pool area is great for the kids too. Lounge chairs available at the pool facing the ocean. Relax & listen to the waves. Pool pub closed week of Easter.

Beautiful island and location. Tons of stunning homes. Golf was a little underwhelming for the price though. Definitely a senior location as well. Lots of rules which is understandable. Not much close to do without a 30 minute drive. I can see the appeal though.

We’ve been coming here for the last 5 years. Pools are nice. Nice views of beach and ocean. Bartenders are always attentive. Food service is...meh. Food is hit or miss. Wait times are ridiculous. Like 30-45 min for chicken fingers and fries...when the place is half empty. It’s like that every year. Waitstaff attentiveness and care-factor is bottom-barrel. They don’t work for tips and it shows. But hey. It’s on the amenity card. It’s by the pool. And the drinks are stiff.

Beautiful vacation area. We rented a home on Seabrook Island and had club house use. Take a walk on the beach early in the morning before the club opens, nice and empty 🙂 but the workers in the club house just might be rocking some awesome music which they don't play when the place opens. We had a wonderful time at Seabrook Island, one of the best vacations we've ever taken.

Very clean. Loved the scenery. Had a nice place to eat right there. They supplied the towels, just remember to return them or its a fee. 2 pools, so 1 was for the kids and the other was for adults. Not one bad thing to say about it.

First time going here. We showed up early and so glad we did. There was already a line out the door - and for good reason! The pizza was delicious and very unique. Both of us also ordered cocktails, which were also delicious. Service was a tight ship - our waiter was spot on and doing an incredible job considering the whole restaurant was full in 20 minutes.

This might upset some Italian-Americans, but the eggplant parmesan might be one of the best I've EVER had! 😊 My next door neighbor's homemade dish is the best, but La Tela's was EXCELLENT! We'll definitely dine there again!

So for the four years we have gone to this magnificent spot on our first evening at Kiawah. Simply put its got a great staff - love Brianna- and the atmosphere is clean and very inviting. The most important part is the food and it superb. Pizza's are spectacular, Chicken Parmigiano is mind blowing, deserts are fresh and fantastic and yhe small charcuterie board is point on. If you done go here when visiting Kiawah you have truly missed out. I whole heartedly recommend LA Tele. A+

So delicious! Absolutely outstanding food, and excellent service. We had the pasta fagioli, the warm butternut squash salad, the ricotta pizza, the sausage pizza, and the house-made cavatelli; and all were impeccably prepared and scrumptious. The server was very pleasant and efficient. Great experience. Not to be missed!

My sausage pizza was excellent. Many types of pizza available along with salads and pasta dishes. Full bar available. Very good service.

My daughter and I stopped in for an impromptu celebration and we're very pleased! She got the ravioli and I had the artichoke pizza and both were delicious! Our server was attentive and kind - we will definitely be back!

If you want carry-out, come to the restaurant at 5 when it opens. Go to the bar, and place your order right away. It will take 20-25 minutes. By 5:30, the wait will be 90 minutes. Great staff, working hard. The person answering the phone is also running the cash register and handling carry-out. Very multi-task talented. Pizza is great, thin crust, very New York style.

Always a huge wait for in house dining and take out. Very disorganized and chaotic. 2 hours to get simple pasta takeout for kids. Super rude hostesses. Don’t answer the phone for customer to place orders.

This is a casual place with very tasty food. The best things on the menu are the wood-fired pizza and the fresh pasta. Delicious! The chicken parmigiana was pretty good. Ceasar salad was tasty, though slightly under-dressed and could have used an upgrade of shaved parmesan rather than the more pedestrian grated stuff. The mixed green salad was nice and had a good dressing. They are doing both dine-in and carryout with seating both indoors and out. Service was decent, not great. Great for families.

I’ve been going to La’Tela for almost a decade now. Recently, I went to Italy and had the best pizza of my life; similarly, I’d say this restaurant has Italian-style pizza most equivalent to the original. I’d suggest this spot to anyone visiting Charleston.

My family and I have been going to La Tela for years when we vacation at Seabrook. Great service, delicious food, and an enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend their butternut squash salad!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared a garden salad which wasnt your typical salad. It had pear slices, pecans, tomatoes and cucumbers. It was the salad dressing that really brought the flavors together. Also, we shared the eggplant parmigian. Were gluten free so I didnt know what to expect. It was so good I had to verify that it was gluten free. Many eggplant parmigian are very cheesy, not this one. The eggplant was crisp and the sauce was delicious. My husband also had the chocolate gelato. It was very flavorful, obviously made in house. The service was also great . The hostess was very friendly and the waiter was very helpful . It was very appreciated as it was a busy night.

Awesome pizza spot on the island. Food and service were great. Specials were on point and so were the drinks. Definitely recommend it if you want some great pizza.

Always great food when we go. They were super busy this afternoon however they made rooms for the 4 of us to sit at the island so we didn’t have to wait. Staff was great and very friendly even during the lunch rush. Great recommendations on beer.

Our resort concierge highly recommended this restaurant and said reservations were not necessary. We found Hege and spent time at the local shops until they opened (almost 3 hours). We were excited when they opened and were greeted with “you don’t have reservations” and it was pretty empty. They allowed us to order and sit at a high top table. We got sea bass and crab cakes. Sea bass was amazing while the crab cakes were okay. They had several open tables the entire time we were there. Wish they had acted a little more glad we were there. Our meal was well worth the $$$ ticket. Yes, we would go back if we visit this coastal area again.

Very delicious food.... French onion soup and bacon wrapped shrimp...as good or better than any other place we've been with similar cuisine, all over the country. You must have the soup. Bread and butter was exquisite. Tuna tartar was exceptional and very satisfying as an entree for me. Service (Mikaela?) at the bar was excellent and overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we would go back again without a doubt. People who want takeout at finer places like this should get a grip and go to the grocery store across the street. I am sure your family will survive on pb and j or cold cuts/frozen food... but plan accordingly and don't leave bad reviews for places that are serving guests in front of them. You should dine here if you are on the island. It is without a doubt one of the best places, even compared to the dining at the golf courses.

Excellent dinner. Cleaned up the table in a timely manner. Service was good. Waiter was a nice gentleman. The vibe inside was perfect. Definitely recommend going there. Food options are delicious, I had French onion soup and roasted duck breast. The entree was superb, with Brussels sprouts, candied yams and duck breast sliced with a berry type compote.

Stopped here quite by accident as I’m only here for two days. I love French food and Hege’s did not disappoint! Started with the house pate and it was divine! Rich and flavorful. As I am solo, looking forward to the rest for brunch tomorrow. Had the crab cake appetizer as well and wow! All crab, succulent, juicy and a wonderful sauce. Felt very warm and welcoming, not at all uncomfortable being solo. Even treated myself to a glass of champagne. Highly recommend. Do stop here when you’re nearby and if not, make the trip out to this charming village.

One of my favorite date places. The food is beyond indulgent, modern and creative. My favorite dish was the pan seared sea bass.

Food was good/really good. Started with mussels which were very nice. Wife had duck breast which she said was comparable to that she was served in Paris & other "real" French restaurants. I had "prime" NY strip. Sauce was fantastic. Steak only OK. Creme spinach was delicious. Excellent service. Seating a little too close for top end restaurant.

Our dinner at Hege’s was definitely worth reviewing. All of the food was so well balanced and flavorful. We had the French onion soup which was a bit heavier than usual but very flavorful. We also had the beef stroganoff special and the seafood pan roast. Both were 10/10. Drinks were a little too strong and Smokey tasting for my liking but I was happy the waitress noticed and quickly suggested something else I would prefer. The espresso martini made up for the other drinks. Michaela was a great waitress and took the time to advise us about the area since it was our first visit. Great service. Interior could use a remodel sooner than later and the A/C could most definitely be cooler but besides that it was a great experience and we would go back.

Hege’s was the perfect spot for me and my husband to share our first dinner as a married couple! We had Michaela as our server. She was so attentive and offered great suggestions for each course and even poured us some celebratory champagne! We would highly recommend Hege’s for any occasion but especially for couples who come to Kiawah for their honeymoon!

Rehearsal Dinner Heaven! Hege’s knocked our socks off with their attention to detail, kindness to us and our 150 or so guests, and served out of this world food! Co-owner Scott, made planning our son’s rehearsal dinner so easy -he is such a nice guy- and his staff was incredible; truly on top of a very complicated schedule. Our guests were gushing about the food! More than once I was told it was the best fish they had ever eaten and the lobster ravioli was to die-for. Everything, from the seafood setup, the passed hors d’oeuvres, and the station was exceptional. They were flexible when I asked to bring in a groom’s cake, accommodating with set up, timing and menus, super professional and really MADE the wedding weekend for us. It was a huge undertaking. We were thrilled with how the evening went. Thank you Hege’s!!!

Food, service, ambiance; the perfect place to end your day. A fabulous blend of French techniques and continental cuisine. You'll want to try one of everything. Excellent wine list.

We were looking forward to a return trip to Hege’s last weekend, but unfortunately it was not as enjoyable. Two of the four guests ordered the She Crab soup, and both became ill after returning home (only dish in common); the other appetizers/salads were fine. One guest ordered the Halibut special and commented that while a decent meal, it was nothing special and they wished they had ordered something else. Two guests ordered beef dishes and indicated they were prepared as ordered and had a nice flavor. I ordered the Lobster Fettuccini and the lobster and scallops on top of the pasta was overcooked. Other members of the party noticed and commented on the struggles trying to remove the lobster from the shell and cut it into bites. Not the same diligence for the meals as we had previously experienced. Overall, the service was fine, except for the busser trying to clear three diner’s plates when they were not finished with the meals. And when did they start passing the credit card fee back to the diner? Not something I expect from what is considered a high-end restaurant. We have had many fine meals in other restaurants in the area, so will be looking at other options on our next trip to Kiawah.

First the bad news. We had a bad reaction to the snurl of many of the other diners. Definitely an us and them, either admire or look down your nose situation. One review cited velvet rope syndrome, perfect description. The wait staff seemed encouraged to sell as much as service, but were mostly efficient. We had appetizer, no drinks and two dinners for $170, so they’re living up to high end. The good news is that the food was excellent quality and perfectly prepared, it’s obvious they have a good kitchen. Fried green tomatoes, filet and halibut with accompanying sides were just superb. If they can balance some of the pretentiousness with a big dose of humility toward the people who support them, they would really have something going.

Scott and the whole team at Hege's were amazing on a busy St. Patricks Day weekend! We sat at a twotop in the bar area and Tiffany was our server. She was amazing and really helped make the night special. The food and drinks are always exceptional. We had the crab and shrimp cocktail and steak tartare for starters and for dinner the blackened redfish and steak frites. Hege's lives up to the Kiawah Island experience.

Great spot to go if you’re staying at Kiawah and don’t want to go all the way to Charleston. Friendly staff. Only slight was that food took a little longer than we’d hoped but it was also Saturday night and busy. Very nice atmosphere

I would love to review the food. The problem is after two hours of waiting the restaurant cancelled our order without explanation. They supposedly told our delivery service that they would expedite the order at the 1hr. 57min. minute mark of waiting... and then they cancelled it. Here's a picture of our empty table. Notice there is no sushi.

I thought the food here was excellent. The shrimp appetizer, surf & turf roll, and sashimi were fresh & tasty. I will also say that the service was excellent and there was only one server for the entire restaurant + patio. She was doing a great job despite being slammed. I would eat here again for sure. To all the people complaining about takeout on the island.... plan better and go to the GROCERY STORE to feed yourselves and family instead of relying on local places that barely have enough help to keep the place running. * Actually ate here again with perfect service and rolls. I appreciate places like this who work hard to serve guests and locals on the island.

Everyone enjoyed their meal. Lunch special was very reasonable (3 sushi rolls for $20 or a Benton box for similar price). They were very busy but our service was good for the amount of patrons to servers. Overall, our favorite meal in FreshField so far.

To put it bluntly if this was the first time I ever ate sushi I would never eat sushi again. Very fishy and underwhelming. Waitress was nice though.

Excellent service and food. There's an extensive selection of sakes, beer and wine. We had a carafe of sake, that was very generous and affordable. We had the hibachi. My companion found a small shard of bone in her steak and scallops. However, the staff made it right, credited her her meal and gave her a premium sushi roll as a courtesy.

Upon noodle soup bowl with crab stick, lots of veggies, delicious broth in deep bowl. Shrimp tempura. Japanese Sapporo beer. Just delicious!!

This place was absolutely wonderful! Our group of friends decided to do a quick stop here for sushi right before heading back home from our vacation and ended up delaying our trip in 2 hours simply because we couldn't stop eating! We ended up ordering so much! I've never eaten sushi so fresh in my entire life and I've eaten sushi all over the world.

Such a great find! We’ve been coming to Seabrook for years - glad we finally tried this place. I got their hibachi chicken and steak, which was great, and the sushi looked amazing too. Good service. Would come back here!

The steak was cooked perfectly and the miso soup was good as well. The Christmas rolls were the highlight of our meal. Customer service is excellent at this location and they do take reservations. They are also open later than the other restaurants in this area.

The Fuji was a welcome surprise after the complete letdown of the other surrounding restaurants. We were seated immediately, were greeted, given a rundown of specials and what we may or may not like based on our preferences and were made aware of the drink selections. The waiter was friendly and engaging and at the same time did not hover and gave us plenty of time by ourselves to talk and dine. I had one of their spicy sashimi rolls and two Tobiko (roe) nigiri rolls and both were very good. My friend had the Teriyaki Shrimp Hibachi and was very happy with it as well. The bathroom was spotless and had designer soap and hand lotion for after wash which was nice. We both really enjoyed this place and if we ever went back through will eat here again.

The service was great. The food was quite average. My dumplings were soggy. This may be due to my takeout order status. The rice was very bland and not very tasty. The noodles also were very average. The staff was quite friendly. I have had better sushi. Not many Asian options on the island, so I am grateful for the food.

First time going here. We showed up early and so glad we did. There was already a line out the door - and for good reason! The pizza was delicious and very unique. Both of us also ordered cocktails, which were also delicious. Service was a tight ship - our waiter was spot on and doing an incredible job considering the whole restaurant was full in 20 minutes.

This might upset some Italian-Americans, but the eggplant parmesan might be one of the best I've EVER had! 😊 My next door neighbor's homemade dish is the best, but La Tela's was EXCELLENT! We'll definitely dine there again!

So for the four years we have gone to this magnificent spot on our first evening at Kiawah. Simply put its got a great staff - love Brianna- and the atmosphere is clean and very inviting. The most important part is the food and it superb. Pizza's are spectacular, Chicken Parmigiano is mind blowing, deserts are fresh and fantastic and yhe small charcuterie board is point on. If you done go here when visiting Kiawah you have truly missed out. I whole heartedly recommend LA Tele. A+

So delicious! Absolutely outstanding food, and excellent service. We had the pasta fagioli, the warm butternut squash salad, the ricotta pizza, the sausage pizza, and the house-made cavatelli; and all were impeccably prepared and scrumptious. The server was very pleasant and efficient. Great experience. Not to be missed!

My sausage pizza was excellent. Many types of pizza available along with salads and pasta dishes. Full bar available. Very good service.

My daughter and I stopped in for an impromptu celebration and we're very pleased! She got the ravioli and I had the artichoke pizza and both were delicious! Our server was attentive and kind - we will definitely be back!

If you want carry-out, come to the restaurant at 5 when it opens. Go to the bar, and place your order right away. It will take 20-25 minutes. By 5:30, the wait will be 90 minutes. Great staff, working hard. The person answering the phone is also running the cash register and handling carry-out. Very multi-task talented. Pizza is great, thin crust, very New York style.

Always a huge wait for in house dining and take out. Very disorganized and chaotic. 2 hours to get simple pasta takeout for kids. Super rude hostesses. Don’t answer the phone for customer to place orders.

This is a casual place with very tasty food. The best things on the menu are the wood-fired pizza and the fresh pasta. Delicious! The chicken parmigiana was pretty good. Ceasar salad was tasty, though slightly under-dressed and could have used an upgrade of shaved parmesan rather than the more pedestrian grated stuff. The mixed green salad was nice and had a good dressing. They are doing both dine-in and carryout with seating both indoors and out. Service was decent, not great. Great for families.

I’ve been going to La’Tela for almost a decade now. Recently, I went to Italy and had the best pizza of my life; similarly, I’d say this restaurant has Italian-style pizza most equivalent to the original. I’d suggest this spot to anyone visiting Charleston.

My family and I have been going to La Tela for years when we vacation at Seabrook. Great service, delicious food, and an enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend their butternut squash salad!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared a garden salad which wasnt your typical salad. It had pear slices, pecans, tomatoes and cucumbers. It was the salad dressing that really brought the flavors together. Also, we shared the eggplant parmigian. Were gluten free so I didnt know what to expect. It was so good I had to verify that it was gluten free. Many eggplant parmigian are very cheesy, not this one. The eggplant was crisp and the sauce was delicious. My husband also had the chocolate gelato. It was very flavorful, obviously made in house. The service was also great . The hostess was very friendly and the waiter was very helpful . It was very appreciated as it was a busy night.

Awesome pizza spot on the island. Food and service were great. Specials were on point and so were the drinks. Definitely recommend it if you want some great pizza.

Always great food when we go. They were super busy this afternoon however they made rooms for the 4 of us to sit at the island so we didn’t have to wait. Staff was great and very friendly even during the lunch rush. Great recommendations on beer.

Really enjoyed our dinner tonight. Didn't have reservations but there was a table on the patio that we were able to be seated at. Staff was attentive and very friendly. Tried several of their white wines. Had the hot crab appetizer and I had pan seared salmon and my husband had the crab cakes. Both were excellent. Will make sure to dine here again on our next trip back.

Worth checking out for date night. Great food and plenty of wine selection. Ordered pork schnitzel with fresh made wine gravy, mushroom rizoto and vegetable medley. And for appy we had baked brie. Everything was exceptional and not a bad price for the quality of the food. Nice interior and good service. Great place to dress up and take your significant other or someone special.

Wine Tasting at your own pace. Trick your brain into believing you are doing a study in wines. An education of regions. Pretend you are a Somaleir. Actually, you are having fun with friends at a place where the service is great. Oui.

This place was an absolute savior for us on a Monday night business dinner! We were looking for somewhere to take clients to a nice dinner and most of the restaurants on the island are closed on Mondays. 48 Wine Bar and Kitchen did an awesome job. I liked how in their private dining room the table was square instead of rectangular so each of our 11 guests could all see each other.

We closed on our condo in August 2023 and are still trying out all the amazing restaurants Seabrook & Kiawah have to offer. This restaurant greatly exceeded our expectations. The entire atmosphere is a special experience by itself, then add in the incredible food & wine and you’ve got *chefs kiss 💋 *. I can’t decide which was best: The wine bar or the Warm Crab & Artichoke dip or the Scallops. Probably one of the best experiences we’ve had on Kiawah. Highly recommend. The staff is amazing. The food is amazing. Everything. 10/10 ♥️

Half the place was empty and plenty of seats at the bar and outside, the gal told us sorry we are completely booked. We just wanted a glass of wine or two then she said due to Covid we needed to leave let me add she nor anyone else on staff were wearing masks ! Pretty sure we could have sat somewhere. I’m sure the owner would have suggested she offered us to buy a bottle of wine and the men wanted to buy cigars. Lost some cash tonight. Poor service.

Super great Restaurant and wine bar, the food was great and the employees are very friendly

Would give the food and service a 4.5 if I could. Would be nice to just be able to order some wines by the glass versus having to jump up to serve ourselves from time to time. Crab cakes were wonderful but needed more more aioli. Portions were good. Salads and mussels were great. We enjoyed that we were not rushed.

The wife and I came here for dinner. As we have never been to Kiawah before we were recommended to fortyeight if we wanted to stay downtown. The wife order the falling in love, and loved it. I got the old fashion and it was to be expected, still very good. We got the garlic fries for an appetizer and the garlic aioli was absolutely out of this world, it was so good. The wife got the shrimp and grits and she said it was amazing. I got the meatloaf, and I have never in my life thought I would order meatloaf. The mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy, the asparagus was perfectly cooked, and the meatloaf was both moist yet not soaked. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The meal was not cheap but was way worth it.

Good here was really great! Three people in our party did the wine experience. They loved getting a new wine each course with their food. I had the steak frites! My filet was cooked to perfection! The charcuterie board was awesome and I liked that you could pick what you wanted! I did wish they offered some substitutes with the steak frites! I would have loved the mashed potatoes but those were only served with the meat loaf! Overall, great experience and would recommend!

Excellent food! Highly recommend! Cannot wait to return! Our servers, Dara and Dina were great! (There was also one other lady who was great too but I didn’t catch her name! She had short, dark hair though!!Sorry for not getting it before we left!) The staff are very personable and made our evening memorable. We were celebrating a birthday and they made us feel so special! The items we tried were: -Warm crab and artichoke dip -Caesar salad -Jumbo lump crab cakes -Shrimp, corn, & bacon ravioli with additional shrimp added on top ALL of the food was absolutely delicious! We were told that the chef is from Maryland and that explains why the crab cakes are to die for! They are basically all jumbo lump crab meat with very minimal amount of filler. They are pure perfection! The mustard style aioli is wonderful too. I did ask for a little extra on the side but other than that, perfect! Truly the best I’ve ever had. There are so many different types of wine around the room and I thought it was fun to read about the wines and sample them. At the end of the meal, they brought some key lime pie and a glass of champagne for the birthday celebration and it was truly special! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent meal accompanied by a great staff! They use local ingredients and have fresh seafood. The shrimp are local from Crosby’s so they are very tasty! We are spoiled with lots of great restaurants in Charleston but I will say, this is now one of my favorites! We had a reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival. We went on a Sunday night and they stayed pretty busy but some walk-ins could definitely have come in to grab a meal. Not sure what it normally looks like in there but based on everything I read, you should make a reservation! We called to make our reservation but I saw on the screen while we were dining that you can reserve a table in Resy as well. Thank y’all for a wonderful evening! Good food & wine. Service is awful. Awful might be too kind. Ate dinner 2x there this week. Got seated and both times had to beg for a server to come by each time. Took forever to get anything. Even brought our appetizer AFTER our meal arrived. Ridiculous. Steak & Cheese flatbread was very good though.

Wine is good, food is so good too, especially the flat breads. I wish I had found it out earlier.

A self pour wine bar! So much fun. You cannot go wrong with the boards! Be sure to try the goat cheese and bacon jam...it's the best! I also had the beet salad which was quite good. The fruit mixed in with the cheese mixed nicely together. The margherita flatbread had a great flavor with an awesome balsamic glaze on it. Definitely stop here! It's a great time.

This place is a gem in kiawah. Our server Dara was the sweetest and so informative. The food was 10/10. Can’t go wrong w charcuterie boards and the crab cakes were to die for! Must stop if you’re in area!!

Absolutely one of the best places to visit while here in Kiawah. Everything is amazing. From the selection of wines to the amazing food. They have a variety of cocktails as well. Wines are all price points and it’s cool to try something you wouldn’t ever dare to buy a bottle of. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

We had a pretty good lunch here today. I had the grouper dog. They forgot the cheese and I was curious to try a fish sandwich with cheese, but it was still good and the portions were great. My husband had the cheesy shrimp sandwich and it was really good. Neither of us cared much for the crab dip, but their homemade chips were pretty good. We checked out their shirt shop and bought some merch to take back home as well! Unfortunately it was really cold out today, this would be a perfect spot for outdoor dining by the water!

We were looking for a sunset venue and this eatery fit the bill. It was a 35 minute drive from our hotel in patriots point. Located on John’s Island adjacent to the Bohicket marina. We had a wonderful sunset view. The ceviche was okay, the guacamole needed more seasoning. Our waiter got distracted with the only other couple on the patio, so when our brownie ala mode arrived the whipped cream was completely melted. It did taste good but I would have liked it fresh after being prepared. The outdoor seating and live entertainment was very pleasant. A very nice area, but off the beaten path from downtown.

Amazing location, outdoor seating has a beautiful view. Service was cheery, fast and helpful. Never had gator bites before but these were delicious although a little chewy. All the seafood we ordered scallops, shrimp, and flounder was fresh and delicious! I recommend this place if you’re in the area and would come back especially on a nice day where you sit outside. Also the ice cream place down the pier is real good!

Well the food was decent, but as my wife said, the food was "chain"y. Our service was pretty good however. It's hard to beat eating food by the water! May be worth another visit.

I have been coming here since it opened a few years ago. You absolutely cannot beat the sunset over the marina/river!! Live music by Alan Price sets the scene perfectly on most weekends. The bartender, Melody, is amazing……and don’t get me started on Dorothy!!! Dorothy has a heart of gold and her service skills are to be marveled! I love to gather family and friends here all seasons. Food is great! Crab dip rocks. Fried anything is awesome. Don’t sleep on Salty Dog!

Had a great time at Salty Dog - the staff were all so friendly and attentive, even on a warm busy day. Our food was delicious- peel and eat shrimp seasoned perfectly, fish tacos and salmon BLT (no pic of that). The drinks were refreshing and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome lunch, Salty Dog staff!

Subpar seafood restaurant for sure. Definitely decent enough for a meal - but if you’re looking for that sweet vacation spot for an all-out deluxe seafood cuisine, then this probably isn’t it. Everything is pretty much fried and very greasy. I got the crab cakes; they were alright but I wouldn’t order them again because they weren’t lump and instead were super stringy and moist inside. Decent flavor but needed to be cooked more. For 38$ I think I expected more. I got fries and hush puppies as my sides. Fries weren’t anything special; the hush puppies were actually very delicious. The surrounding area is VERY pretty for pictures and walking around on the boat dock marina.

Great atmosphere, views and service. The food was good. The Bohicket Butter Oysters were really good but the shrimp and grits was just ok. I love shrimp and grits but there is such a difference from place to place. A great place to watch the sunset and loved the views from outside with the boats and intercoastal waterway.

Stopped by here for dinner while on vacation. There was an hour wait for a table which was expected as we went on a Saturday. Plenty of seating outside to wait and enjoy a drink. Our server was excellent and the food portions are quite large. The food was good overall and everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. I would recommend the Jambalaya pasta which had a good flavor and little kick to it.

I love this place! Have had birthday lunch here the past two years. Extensive and creative menu with delicious specials. I love the grilled chicken sandwich as a pub staple. This year we tried the oyster dip and oysters Rockefeller which were both insanely good. I had a Pinot Grigio and I love that all of their wines are from Hungary. Mom had the salmon blt, Jeff had the lobster grilled cheese (wow), and dad got the buffalo cauliflower tacos. Great service and delicious, hot, and timely food all with a gorgeous waterfront view. Highly recommend!

Downgraded this place to 2 star after having meals in downtown Charleston. Nice view, good service, worse than mediocre food. Don’t order the $40 crab cake, it is bad.

This location is a bit sneaky to find. It's not well marked at the marina, but Google maps takes you right there. We went on a Thursday and they were full, but no waiting. Plenty of room inside and outside for seating. Once we're were seated, we got our drinks and ordered our food. Food came out fairly quickly and the waitress disappeared for the rest of the meal. Someone later checked on us and by then we were past needing refills. Instead of the refills the waitress came out and wasn't very friendly. She brought the check but no refills. We weren't even done eating and we're thinking of desert. That sealed it and we didn't get desert. Service wasn't horrible, but definitely was happy that you were there and they were there to help you. Not friendly at all. Food had good presentation. We decided to get something other than burgers. Which are usually there staple at other locations. Meal size was more than plentiful. Taste was average. It wasn't bad food but wasn't worth the cost. Recommend sticking to burgers. Overall, probably recommend this chain at another location. There are other food choices in the area.

Really can't beat the vibes of this place. Right by the water, and they had live music playing when we visited as well. Great selection of food and drink, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Very happy I visited and recommend if in the area.

With live music and the beach scene we enjoyed ourselves! The service was spot on was on! The music was on point and the food was decently priced for being by the beach 🏖️

A really fun and enjoyable experience. Great food, especially (shocker) the hot dog. Some of the best hush puppies I've had, and went on a limb to try the marmalade oysters - not bad! Definitely something to shake up your meal.

Relaxing restaurant with large portions and good water view. She crab soup was flavorful and tasted just like New England clam chowder. The house salad is very large with a good assortment of fresh vegetables and regular tomatoes. Cut up. Hush puppies are not what you would expect from a typical Southern style. They were soft and kind of Doughy and slightly sweet and about 2 inches in diameter. For the entrée, the jambalaya pasta was a huge portion, easily enough to feed two. It was reminiscent of a fancy mac & cheese with Mexican chicken, shrimp and sausage, and also had a medium spicy kick to it. In my opinion, it was too much pasta and not enough of the other ingredients. It would be a stretch to call it jambalaya but it was flavorful though, although mostly pasta. The fish was grilled, just as we asked, and it was grilled correctly and had a good flavor as did the accompanying vegetables which were tasty as well. French fries were actually good as well. Service was excellent, friendly and prompt. If you’re hungry, this is the place to go just don’t order to much or you’ll be bringing a lot back.

Delayed post from our August trip... We took a table on their patio which has nice views of the waterway. Relatively quiet area for dining outdoors. Our entrees were ok; however, the hush puppies, calamari and mixed drinks were great!
