Bali

Bali is an amazingly beautiful island, famous for its rich cultural heritage and Hindu temples. The arts and crafts, dance, music, and cuisine of Bali have become internationally recognized, whilst the area’s tropical climate and picturesque beaches are just two more reasons this is such a hugely popular tourist destination.

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Mentioned on

Nature & Wildlife Areas
The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, located in the village of Padangtegal near Ubud, is a Hindu temple complex nestled in a lush 27-acre jungle. It is home to over 400 long-tailed macaque monkeys divided into four groups. The sanctuary is owned and operated by the village and attracts thousands of visitors monthly. While there are warnings about aggressive monkey behavior, following guidelines such as not making eye contact or taunting them with food can ensure a safe visit.
There's a reason why this place is one of the most visited attractions in Bali. It's great fun, the staff are good and the monkeys are amazing. They can appear slightly scary at first but keep calm and don't look at them in the eyes. I'd recommend coming early in the morning to avoid any crowds, and enjoy an hour or so observing the amusing creatures.

Monkey Forest is the perfect attraction for all ages and a respite from the heat. You can spend a long time watching the monkeys play with each other. The park itself is beautiful. There are amazingly detailed statues everywhere. The monkeys are great just follow the rules. Don't make eye contact and carry your belongings tight. There are many ancient banyan trees. You may only need a couple hours at most to see everything. Definitely a place to see if you're in Ubud.

Step into the enchanting realm of the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud, Bali, where nature, spirituality, and mischievous monkeys come together in a symphony of awe-inspiring beauty. As you walk through the towering ancient trees and meandering pathways, a sense of tranquility washes over you, carrying you into a world where humans and wildlife coexist in perfect harmony. The sanctuary is a verdant paradise, a sanctuary for the soul. The air is heavy with the scent of tropical blooms, their vibrant colors punctuating the lush greenery that surrounds you. Sunlight dances through the canopy, casting ethereal rays upon the moss-covered stones and the gentle streams that wind their way through the forest. It's a place that seems untouched by time, where ancient spirits whisper secrets into the breeze, and the serenade of chirping birds becomes a melodic backdrop to your journey. But what truly makes this sanctuary come alive are its inhabitants – the sacred monkeys that call this sanctuary their home. As mischievous as they are revered, these long-tailed macaques dart through the treetops with an elegance that belies their playful nature. With their expressive eyes and agile movements, they captivate your attention, drawing you into their world. Approach the monkeys with respect and an open heart, and you'll be rewarded with delightful encounters. They may scamper down from their leafy perches, their nimble fingers reaching out for an offering of bananas or peanuts. As you extend your hand, the monkeys display their intelligence, gently plucking the treat from your palm or even engaging in a cheeky game of hide-and-seek, whisking it away before your eyes. Their antics are a reminder of the shared curiosity and mischievousness that unites humans and animals. But beyond their playful demeanor, the monkeys hold a sacred place in Balinese culture. They are considered guardians of the forest, messengers of the gods. Locals believe that their presence brings blessings and harmony to the land. Watching them interact with each other, you witness a microcosm of a society, a complex web of social interactions, hierarchies, and familial bonds. It's a reminder that nature, like humanity, thrives on connections and relationships. As you wander deeper into the sanctuary, you stumble upon ancient temples adorned with intricate carvings and adorned with vibrant offerings. These sacred spaces are where the spiritual and natural worlds intertwine. Take a moment to sit in silence, to soak in the energy that permeates the air. The sound of chanting drifts from nearby ceremonies, and the scent of incense dances with the breeze. Here, amidst the towering trees and sacred statues, you can feel the pulse of Bali's spiritual heartbeat. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is not just a place to observe nature; it's an invitation to reconnect with our own primal selves, to witness the beauty and wisdom that exist beyond the concrete jungles we inhabit. It's a place to reflect, to find solace in the presence of creatures that remind us of our shared ancestry, and to discover the magic that lies within the natural world. So, my friends, if ever you find yourself in the mystical town of Ubud, do not miss the opportunity to lose yourself in the embrace of the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. Allow the serenity of the forest, the mischievousness of the monkeys, and the spiritual energy to envelop you. And in this sacred haven, may you discover a deeper connection to both nature and yourself, leaving with a heart full of wonder and a renewed appreciation for the fragile beauty of our planet.

You go for the monkeys - and you get many monkeys. If you want to have a selfie with a monkey - you will have to buy a separate ticket for that. When being surrounded by monkeys, try not to open your bag, as monkeys are very curious and then they try to get whatever you have in your bag. Just take care of your stuff and hold it securely. Otherwise, monkeys are definitely not aggressive or interested in you, so you feel safe. There are security cameras everywhere just in case. And the forest itself is majestic and amazing too.

A very nice and clean monkey forest in the middle of Ubud. It's very serene and calm as it's full of tall old trees, growing around a small river. There are statues everywhere, covered in green moss. You can also see a few temples and a cemetery (for the people in that village) within the monkey forest. There are a lot of cute monkeys to see. Just remember not to disturb them. The monkeys here are pretty friendly though, not as aggressive as the ones in Sangeh.

Would not do this again. The monkey forest is not a sanctuary. It is a tourist trap designed for people to indulge in exploitative photo opportunities with monkeys. These beautiful animals deserve better. We saw a Chinese tourist exiting one of the First Aid centres on his way to hospital after being bitten as well as two young girls foolishly holding a water bottle being chased by a monkey. Signs clearly state no water bottles. They also state "no feeding monkeys", yet the staff use food to get monkeys to sit and climb on tourists for pictures. This has conditioned the monkeys to climb on people. We kept our distance. All of my pictures were taken with a zoom lens and we kept moving, Staying still had you surrounded by monkeys who do not understand the difference between someone sitting down to rest and someone paying to have a picture taken by using food as an incentive. Beautiful Forest but not entirely comfortable with monkeys being used as props. I love monkeys but they are wild and deserve respect 🐒 I felt very sad for these monkeys and at times nervous for my safety 🐒 🙈 Edit update: the responses to poor reviews by the owner are a clear picture of what you get when you visit.

Being from India, monkeys aren't really a tourist attraction for me, but I would still recommend a visit to the monkey forest. We visited during the rains, dense cover of trees, multiple shades of green, with amazing architecture and statues and a river! All this in the middle of the city! Such serene calm place. The staff is super friendly. Don't bother the monkeys.

There is no doubt the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a truly unique and magical place. You get to see more than 1400 monkeys in a beautiful forest packed with exotic vegetation, unique sculptures and Hindu temples. However, the locals and tourists nearly ruined the place with large amount of trash. It is sad to see baby monkeys chewing toilet paper and play with plastic water bottles as their toy. The management could have done so much better to control the waste in this place.

We spent a few hours here in the afternoon and it was stunning! As the title depicts, it is a forest setting with free roaming monkeys! It's is incredible and I am so glad we went! Admission is really reasonable, and the money assists the upkeep and running of the reserve. The monkeys are adorable and cheeky. They aren't phased by the number of people around but give them their space also. However if you have food or drink, they will come and assume it is for them. Best leave those snacks at home or in a bag. There are also many sacred sites around the lot, many of them containing temple scriptures which are stunning, but off limits to those who are not there for prayer. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in!

Monkeys here are most welcome to human than any other forest monkey Bali has. They're not naughty at all...as long as you follow the rule for what's not to bring inside the forest. A guide will help you to tell you history of a place, take photos and get monkey closer with no standard rate to pay them.

Wonderful experience. A nice place to explore. The temples and statues are interesting to see, alongside the main attraction, the monkeys! We visited on a Saturday afternoon at 4PM. I thought it might be busy with tourists, but it wasn’t too bad. As time went on the place became quieter. We walked around the whole complex and saw so many monkeys. Incredible. We had no issues with the monkeys. After reading reviews I didn’t take any loose items (water, sunglasses, jewellery); we were not bothered by them. I carried my phone and my husband had a bum bag. We kept our distance from the monkeys and respected them in their habitat. Read and follow the rules and you’ll have a great time. 🙏 Such a lovely place, suitable for the whole family.
Aneka Truman — Google review
Loved this place, monkeys are funny but be careful of them. If you don’t irritate them then won’t bother you. Kids need to be careful of them and their belonging. The forest is a delight to roam around. The topical rain forest near the town of ubud is fascinating to witness. Sometimes the monkeys go out of the forest to the town and shops but the come back as they have abundant food and shelter here. You need 2 hours if you want to leisure around in the forest.

The place's quite big, beautiful, and you can lost in the moment while enjoying the views here. If you're not a fan of animals (especially monkeys) and nature, I don't recommend you here please don't wear glasses, hat, or bring anything on your hand such as phones or bottles. because some of the monkeys will try to steal your goods 😅
Clarisa C.G. — Google review
The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is home to over 1,200 monkeys. As you walk alongside them, you can also check out all the elaborate temples in the area. Great place to see lots of Monkeys! 🙈🙉🙊 Loved the statues and carvings, forest itself and the Temple. It can be very busy though...but the place is big enough to find quieter corner. We had the most fun here today exploring this jungle like temple place with several different monkey families living freely. Must visit for once.👍🏻

If you like animals, this is a must go place. Tickets are not expensive and there were no long queues to buy tickets. Throughout the park there are lots of park rangers who are taking care of animals and making sure visitors are safe and do not touch monkeys. Monkeys usually do not bother people unless you are carrying paper or plastic bags, or bottled water/juice then they will try to steal it from you. It was funny to see how a monkey stole a bottle then opened it to drink the water out of the bottle 😊 Just follow the park guidelines and you will have a ton of fun and amazing photos.
Igor Blazanovic — Google review
It was fun to walk around lots of monkey. It was good to see that they are not kept there with fences, the monkeys are living there voluntarily and they leave whenever they want. There are many signs saying that monkeys can be aggressive but nothing bad happened when we kept the rules. We didn’t look them in the eye or touch them. Just when I sat, a monkey came and sat on my lap, looked my hand if I have anything interesting for it :) then it climbed on my shoulder but it didn’t scratch or hurt. The forest itself is very peaceful as well.

A fascinating place with plenty to see and do. It can get a bit crowded as I went on a Monday morning. While it was busy, there was still room to move about and take pictures without other people in the shot. The scenery is almost magical, everything is so green with temples scarred throughout. Of course there are the monkeys which really are all over the place. I didn’t see any overly aggressive behavior but I did see 1 younger monkey running off with a beaded necklace. I am not sure how much parking was as I haven’t paid yet. Tickets to enter are 80k IDR per foreign adult. My iced coffee after the wall was 50k IDR (fairly small compared to Thailand). The vanilla latte was quite refreshing.

Extraordinary experience we had in this monkey forest in the heart of Ubud. The tickets are cheap, and the place is easily accessible by taxis. The monkeys are not that aggressive, but you have to careful with them. And rule number one: take off sunglasses, and other accessories which could be easily stolen from you. The forest is much bigger than I expected. We were walking around for an hour and half. Every recommendation for the tourists.

Ceking Rice Terrace

Mentioned on
Scenic spot
Sights & Landmarks
Ceking Rice Terrace, also known as Tegallalang Rice Terrace, is a must-visit destination in Ubud, Bali. It offers stunning terraced hillside views with lush green rice paddies and an innovative irrigation system. This area forms the most beautiful three-storied landscape in Ubud, along with other villages like Pejeng and Campuhan. The terraces are a popular attraction featured in travel magazines and countless photos due to their beauty.
Amazing experience! Everyone was so helpful! The guy who took pictures gave the best advice how to pose! Customer service skills was excellent. Everyone greets you with a smile and there were so many of them. You can walk around and take multiples photos. Overall beautiful place! Be prepared to be walking up and down staircases. Tried the swing, it is nice although scary but it was the best experience of my life!!
Ryan Williams — Google review
Good spot to try the swing, photos and just relax with the view. Doesn’t have much trail for walk and explore further. Free of charge. Car parking located nearby. We park at the restaurant so there is no charges and then enjoy cold drinks with infinity pool

A beautiful rice field terrace!! You will take a look from any point and you will feel like in a fairy tale. A magical wild space surrounded by all kind of trees and plants and where you can find animals like chickens or snakes living by themselves. Around the field there are lots of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy breakfasts or drinks watching the view. Also you can swing from the heights. A very recommended it place!!
Antonella Pozzer — Google review
Really nice place to visit! Would definitely recommend parking in the free parking where you can find it. A lot of people are on the road asking for you to pay to visit the rice terrace and walk among them but if you walk further up the road you can just access them for free and have a better view around them. The whole area is based around tourists, and the place feels slightly like a tourist trap. There are swings over the terraces and ziplines, etc. The views really are lovely and worth visiting, but I would be careful about what you pay for!
Cian Pigott — Google review
This rice terraces are amazing, at the entrance the have different packages depending how many activities your are interested, meaning swings, basket swings and some other activities. I did the swing over the rice terrace, is a little bit scary but fun, scary because the you are getting into the seat all that you see is hill down like 50 feet down, when the pushed you, you are about 75 feet up from the ground, and when you look up the swinger is held to two palm trees that they move in and out accordingly with the movements, but is really fun. The place is very instagramable, a lot of nest made with lianas. You can also walk hill down to a little creek then go up to the other side of the hill where they have other swings and places where you can take really nice pictures. This place is fun.

One of the highlights of Ubud. Absolutely stunning rice terraces. Don't be put off by the naff touristy stuff (swings etc) near the start, but instead do the easy hike that takes you on a long loop around the terraces. Truly beautiful. Well worth stopping at one of the many little huts for a drink and to soak in the view.
Nathan Croft — Google review
Our guide, Dewa, knew all the places to take us and the best times to avoid lines! We got here relatively early in the morning and grabbed our tickets for zip lines and swings asap. The staff was all great to work with and made sure we all had a great experience. We finished up grabbing ice creams before we left as the heat and humidity of the day were already cranking up.
John Douglas Realtor — Google review
The rice terraces themselves are quite beautiful and remarkable, and alone would be a 5star rating. But for me giving the overall experience a 3 would be over generous. If you like the mass tourism machine in full swing then you’ll give this rice terrace area a 5. In saying that it probably doesn’t matter which of the more famous terrace area you visit it will be the same mass commercial tourism experience.
Jason Adams (Jase) — Google review
Amazing place and a must see if you are in Ubud! The rice fields are beautiful and the swing is a fun experience as well. There are several photo opportunities for couples and families. It was very hot and humid so we left after a few hours, but I can see myself spending a full day here.
Navjot S — Google review
It's definitely nice, but a major tourist trap at this point. Plenty of beautiful rice paddies around Bali where people don't try to get money from you.
Zach Eberhart — Google review
Lovely rice terraces and I enjoyed a nice drink at the cafes facing it. It was a beautiful view. Going later has its advantages as its cooler and not brave the hot noon sun. However there's lots of flies and insects so bring your insect repellent with you. Worth a visit.
Andre Koo — Google review
Really beautiful rice terrace. Required to pay 25,000 Rupiah per pax at the entrance. Swing adventure and rental of dress is available. The crew manning the swing takes really good photos using your mobile. Expect to spent about 2 hours (with some rest) in total here.
Ting Yong Peh — Google review
It was dry season and the rice have been harvested when we visited so we didn't get to enjoy the view. You'll need to pay entrance fee before you can go down and have a hike along in the terraces. Best time to visit during rainy season because it is the time when they grow rice. Visited on November 04 Saturday

Overall, it was a good experience. Little pricey for entry and the wait time to buy a ticket was a little long.. very popular spot, though, with tourists. Didnt find the girl on the desk to be very friendly and happy to be there - just seemed like a robot with a blank smile and kept looking around constantly. Preoccupied, maybe? Fields were okay.. pretty views, though. Shame you charge extra for the swings and stuff as this is just a cash-grab. The exit directions on the rice fields were a little confusing, and trying to find our way out took ages. This was a spot our driver recommended to us. May recommend to family and friends visiting. Thank you for your hospitality, though🙏🙏
Jason Holmes — Google review
Our entry was 50,000 each and upon entering the view is beautiful. The main terrace is littered with swings and people taking photos which is fine but does feel very touristic. We enjoyed sitting, having a beer and taking in the view. The same could have been done for less from one of the nearby coffee shops which look over the terrace. Overall I think it's ok experience, if you want to take the swing photo (they do charge for it extra).
Michaela — Google review
So worth going. If you're interested in seeing how the rice is grown and harvested or wanting a great picture on the many swings and hanging seats, this is a must see. There is also a random bike on a wire and zip line for the more adventurous
Adam — Google review
There are multiple entrance to visit the rice terrace area but on average entrance cost is the same at 10k IDR. Since I went here on the morning, amplified by the rain on the previous night, the path down along the rice terrace was quite slippery. I'd recommend coming here after 9am or at around 3pm to get the best light.
Octavianti Shanna — Google review
The quintessential Ubud attraction. Beautiful greenery all around albeit a bit commercialized. You can park in one of the nearby places, enjoy view from one of the many restaurants and cafes or you can trek down all the way or trek to the Swing. Enough and many photo opportunities to be had. A small entry fee and "donation" needs to be paid but seems worth the price. Come here during early morning or late evenings as afternoons can get unbearably hot.
nisarg pandya — Google review
Great views - best to go early morning before it gets hot (you can walk all the way around the terraces). The best views are not at the main entrance but further along. Wouldn't recommend prepaying for the swings, you can always pay directly if you decide to have a go (there are better options compared to the "official" ones). There's a decent day club with swimming pools by the exit on the other side.
Vlad Pasconi — Google review
I had an assumption that there was a free entry, but the security guard directed us to the ticket office. It cost 50k per person, just to enter. They said that we would be able to use photo points for free... What a scam, there were a few framed points where I would have to pay 5k.. not even close to 250k I paid for the family entry. Overall a nice Instagram place, but so artificial, real terraces look different, and absolutely free!
Dmitri Podsytnik — Google review
Highly recommended for a visit giving insight into tradition and beauty of ancient practices. Something for everyone here. From sedentary observation to full immersion activities*. I am a fit 70 year old and made it down to the bottom, up the other side and back but beware: these are traditional terraces cut out of the permanently irrigated hillside. UK standards of H&S do not apply. Don't let the mention of huge swings and zip wires put you off - they do not detract from the experience.
Richard Page — Google review
Ceking Rice Terrace is a great stop if you're out for the day or on a private/self-guided tour. Cost was 50k IDR or around $3 USD to walk it. The location isn't too big, which makes walking the entirety of it very manageable even in the heat. It's a decent mix of touristy yet still retains its natural beauty, meaning you can enjoy some fun amenities suck as the swings or zip lines while still seeing the step fields. If photos are your thing, then you'll find no shortage of great points to get some excellent shots in. There's a good selection of refreshments as well. I'd definitely recommend walking the entire site as it won't take long, and you'll get to enjoy all the viewpoints on offer. Well worth the visit!
Michael Luisi — Google review
Very nice place to walk. The view is pretty much rice fields and greens so pretty relaxing! The steps are quite steeps but the path is clear and easy to track where it goes We also met a nice local lady who let us try her basket and hat to take picture with! There's a ticket to enter for Rp 25000 (25k IDR) per person
Danniella Yudianti — Google review
5 stars for this beautiful location north of Ubud. The price is very reasonable for a 1 to 2-3 hour walk. Here, you can enjoy the rice terraces, take a trekking walk, and get your adrenaline pumping on the giant swings. Absolutely recommended. Don't expect a relaxed stroll 🤫

To be honest.... I'm very disappointed by those rice terraces..... Those are absolutely mate for tourists..... On the way to those rice terraces we saw unknown once which have been 1000% more beautiful! I wouldn't go back there and pay 30k entry fee ..... Rather drive with the scooter around, like we did, and you'll find more beautiful once for free :)

Was really nice and not too crowded but we also went on a rainier day. Paths are quite muddy if it rains. Bali.swing options and dress rental. Many cafes around to have a drink or bite. Toilets are also available.
Danina La — Google review
Nice spot, gets busy at certain times of the day. Lots of sitting areas and a restaurant to order food/drinks. More organised than other 'swing' places, loved this one. Sis and I did the zip line it was fun. The staff help you take good pictures if your into picture taking. Could visit again good service 👍
Temwa Lwenje O'Connor — Google review
Beautiful place. It’s better to come early in the morning since there are no shadows during the day and easy to get sunburn. Also very hot to stay under the sun and the path goes up and down all the time. There are some places to take pictures (prepared especially for the tourists) and the place with big swings before the terrace (drivers usually inform about it in case you want to take pictures). We came in February and there was no season for rice harvesting, but if you are lucky to catch that period, workers can explain you the process and guide through it.
Irka Aliyeva — Google review
Beautiful scenery. Like everything here in Bali you need to pay to enter but that is expected. I think we payed about 10.000 IDR to enter. We also payed to do five different swings. Amazing experience. Would recommend everyone going here to do the swings. We arrived early so there weren’t a lot of people but when we left more people started arriving. Come early if you wish to have the place to yourself. The staff was really cool and the took a lot of photos for us. Felt like a photo shoot.
Alexander Philip Angelsen — Google review
This terrace is very big and pretty. Also, very turistic, so the approaches by locals around entrance can be intense. There is a fee to pay to get to walk through the rice fields and it varies according to the place you access it. There is what to look like a main entrance with a parking lot and numbers being distributed at entrance where they charge 50k. But if you walk a little to the left (for the perspective of who faces the rice fields) you may find cheaper. I could pay half just by walking 5 minutes.
Bárbara Carvalho — Google review
Beautiful area to wonder around the rice fields with options to try the various swings for Instagram snaps (at an extra cost). There is a free car park by the entrance and you could easily spend a few hours walking around all the different levels. Bring lots of water with you because it does get humid, there are also mini cafes and stalls to get refreshments, and don’t forget to put on bug spray because there are lots of mosquitos !

Amusement park ride
Waterbom Bali is a sprawling water park spanning 3.8 hectares, offering an array of rides and attractions suitable for all ages. It's a top family-friendly destination in Kuta, Bali. The park features exhilarating water slides, games, gardens, pools, and the steepest waterslide in Asia called The Climax. Visitors can also enjoy the Lazy River, Funtastic, Twin Racers, Fast N Fierce, Smashdown and more.
A great place to spend a day with family, where you can have exciting experience and relaxing times too. The range of slides from mellow, moderate to extreme enable you to choose the rides according to your comfort level. The cleanliness of the facilities also well maintained, especially the shower area (which so far is one of the cleanest I've ever visited). The foods tasted good, though it's quite pricey. Overall it's a day well spent for our family.

Amazing Place to visit, the Waterbom has a lot of activities and so clean and nice, family place to have fun even with your friends. Towers plays and the river so nice. The price is high but it’s worth it since you will have fun all the day. Recommend: You can have your towels with you and eater only so bring them with you. Price round 5000000 rubies per person dose not include any food or lockers. You have to put some deposit money minimum 300000 rubies and you will consume them for food and drinks. They have good quality of food and specially drinks. Rate: Price : 3/5 Location: 4/5 Food quality : 4/5 Drinks Quality: 5/5 Parking : available but i think it’s paid One of the most places you have to visit since it’s so green and fresh.

International standard water park. Safety first, clean, green and fresh. I came on Sunday 10 minutes before it opened, already quite a long queue. I bought tickets from Traveloka, cheaper than the offline/locket prices. Better come right it just opens cos some rides have long queues. The food prices were okay, the tastes were also not bad. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool attendants gave clear instructions and also cheered up the customers. Perfect for teens and adults, some rides maybe too much adrenaline for kids. Most of the rides need min. 122cm body height. Overall it's very nice there, recommended place to spend fun time with friends and family.

Just a super fun awesome day! Guaranteed fun for all ages, we felt like a little kid going around all the amazing slides. The grounds itself is well maintained and really quite beautiful. The staff are fantastic all so helpful and really good with people just felt a good environment. I would recommend maybe go early as you can if you want a sun lounger, we managed to get one over in the new area where the adult pool/bar was- it was really nice the area only opened in August, toilets were super clean and I couldn’t fault anything. Thanks for a really fun day 👏🤩 I would add more vid/photos but it’s best left for a surprise when you visit 🙂

spent the whole day here from opening until closing. the place is well maintained, safe and clean. staff are attentive and gives off good vibes. the new area is beautiful and great place to chill and float around after full day of going on slides. food and entrance fee is definitely on the expensive side, for us locals anyway. but definitely worth it

Awesome family water park. Get in quick to book/ reserve your nice shady bungalow, complete with safe, these bungalows are comfortable for small families right up to the bigger ones. The park itself was great, mapped well for easy navigation, clean and well maintained. There was a small wait in line to enter the park, wrist bands were handed out with money credit applied. This is returned on exit. Lines weren't too bad inside, however it was fairly busy with large groups of families. There was plenty of food to select from, from sushi, burgers, chips, pizza, smoothies, noodles and more all presented well and served and delivered to our bungalow or able to be brought on the spot. Showers and toilets were extremely clean and well maintained also. Staff were friendly as I found in most of bali and happy to help with enquiries and just a chat in general. Photos avail from professional camera man also and developed for purchase There too. A fantastic day to spend here on slides , swimming in the lazy river or just watching the kids in the kids pool and splash area highly recommend.

One thing I remembered was the service and staff, both are very pleasant and friendly. I had my feet stung by a bee and they quickly got me medicine. The staffs would greet and ask your experience, it was very nice. They have various types of water slides, my favorite was the superbowl. They have kids area and it’s big! The food and drink are well-tasted, for the payment we use cashless payment. The parking area is spacious. What’s most important is how they practice a good health protocol, especially during this hard time.
Ian Stithaprajna — Google review
The place is not that big, but it was really good. Activities are quite complete and has a lot of choices for kids and adult. The slides are also quite new which will give you new experiences if your quite used to water theme park. They just lack ways to take pictures for those extreme rides. For me those are quite important since not everyone could try it.

Great waterpark, you can spend the whole day here without any problems. Most of the attractions are for children from 120 cm, but even smaller ones will not be bored here. I must say that I was surprised how well maintained the park and all the attractions are. I recommend to buy the entrance in advance, you will get a small discount and avoid waiting at the ticket office.

My best experience with a water theme park. Visited there with my wife and two children aged 13 and 10. I had purchased the tickets earlier from online. Me and my 13 year old son explored all of the rides multiple times. All the extreme level rides that were required to enter a capsule were really scary but of course thrilling. The very first time I didn’t feel anything after entering a capsule. But from the next time, every time I entered a capsule I felt shaky but didn’t stop the ride. It was really hair-raising. There were plenty of rides we enjoyed with family and my other son. Lazy river with my family was really fun. It was really a memorable experience.

Enjoyable place! We went on Sunday morning. Arriving at 9:30am but the gazebo is already sold out. Luckily we could find out the good chair instead. If you’d like to book the gazebo on weekend, I recommend arriving at here by 9am, which is opening time.

The best water theme park I've been to so far. Great rides, very helpful staff and an all-round fun atmosphere. The park is cashless, so be sure to deposit at least 100,000 rupiah in the contactless wristband for locker rental (35,000 rupiah, with a 30,000 rupiah refundable deposit), photo purchase (150,000 rupiah for one photo folder) etc

The park is great. 14 water slides in total. Mostly frequented by foreigners. The staff at the park are amazing. They are kind, helpful and friendly. Certainly enhances the entire experience. Lots of greenery around the place so lots of places to hide from the blazing sun and the place is extremely windy which is good. Just opposite the park is a mall which has a view of the beach. Nothing really much at the mall.

Extremely clean! Staff was awesome…very friendly and always looking out for my children! We stayed basically the entire day and never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride. Good and drinks were delicious! The park photographers did a great job capturing memories and I ended up purchasing the entire digital package.

The park is super clean with you always seeing staff out cleaning. The rides are amazing and depending on when you get there wait times aren't that bad. Food is well priced in comparison to Aussie Dollars with an average lunch costing just $15. The perfect place for families with little kids with 2 designated kids areas with so much to do and the lazy river ride is also perfect for them. We also liked it was a cashless system so no chance of losing money or it being stolen :) Definitely buy tickets in advance to save yourself time getting in.

We headed here for the day to switch off from the hustle and bustle of the streets and have a blast! And a blast we definitely had! Although we are here without the kids, we still had an awesome day that left us smiling, a little burnt but very content! There are water slides for everyone's level of excitement, some for the softer hearts, some fast and some slow, and plenty of big pools to cool off in in between lounging on the sun beds and riding the slides. Plenty of choices of areas to get food, at a reasonable price too. Two swim up bars located at each end of the park are a great place to cool off. There's also a huge kids area that is currently undergoing an expansion! Definitely worth a visit for the young and the young at heart!

Booked a bungalow and stayed the whole day. Prices were reasonable, good food and drinks. Matter of fact the pizza we had could possibly be THE best I've ever had.. absolutely delicious. We were there during Christmas period so pretty busy but everything was really fun.

What can I say, one of the best water parks I've been to. Firstly, it is easy to locate. It's within walking distance in the kuta area. I went on a Saturday, and there was no long queue. I cannot confirm if it is cheaper to purchase tickets online and in advance, but it was really affordable on-site. The place is really well kept and maintained. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to buy food and drinks. There is wifi everywhere! Oh, and it's free! There is no need to worry about not being connected to the outside world. The lifeguards all speak English. It is easy to navigate once inside, and all workers are really friendly should you get lost and ask for help. It was an incredible experience, worth the price and time

What an amazing place. Clean and the staff are super friendly. We had a blast. The lazy river was my favourite. You can just relax and let it take you all around the scenic route. There is so much greenery. Absolutely loved the place. Plus the idea of having bands to put your money in is just brilliant. You don't have to carry anything with you and you can just swim and relax. Also highly recommend getting the orange band, this let's photographers around the water park know that you want photos and they take some amazing shots. Highly recommended for big groups and families. We got Cabana which helped with a place to rest and sleep if you are going to spend the whole day with kids. Can't wait to do it again!!! ❤️👍😊👏

It was a memorable day for us. I went to many water parks in this trip and I can say that it was the best. The staff were very polite and respectful. I definitely suggest you to dedicate a whole day to Bali Abbey Park. Lockers can be rented in two different sizes. They took the food with me at the beginning of our arrival, but put it in the fridge and gave it to us when we left. The quality of the food inside the Abbey Park was high, but it was acceptable.

Museums
Neka Art Museum, located in Ubud, is a renowned museum founded by Suteja Neka, a prominent art collector. The museum boasts an extensive collection of traditional and modern Balinese artwork that draws inspiration from the local beauty and culture. Established in 1976, it features six buildings showcasing diverse ancient traditional and modern art pieces, including classic puppet-style paintings from the 17th century and numerous Ubud-style paintings.
A place to meditate. The museum is partially closed, but you can walk around the library and garden. It's just beautiful for relaxation
Grace Marlyn — Google review
Very nice museum with 7 different buildings showing traditional Balinese artwork, and explaining the significance behind common cultural symbolisms such as the winged lion, the horse or the dog. Count between 45m-2h depending on your interest. Gift shop is a bit lacking though and you need to pay 150.000 IDR entry which I found a bit steep.

Amazingly educational for arts in Indonesia. We can see loads of great painters of Indonesia with Bali as their focuses.
Rowena Suryobroto — Google review
They really spend time and effort to make this museum better. They used the CoVid hatius to their advantage. It looks fresh and new. New paint, new floor, new restaurant. The museum shop has excellent items. Especially the Batik and Ikat is of very good quality. I loved the huge collection of Keris from Bali and Java. The art collection is broad. Although I do not particularly like the Balinese traditional paintings. The east meets west collection was beautiful.

Incredible gallery with an amazing collection of traditional as well as modern Indonesian art! The museum itself is a beautiful building as well. There were no people when we went, so we had the whole museum to ourselves, which allowed us to take our time and view the whole collection at our pace. The museum has 8 different pavilions as well as a separate building with temporary exhibitions. One of the pavilions was dedicated to a collection of traditional Indonesian daggers (Kris), which has been recognised by the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. All the exhibits have great in-depth and insightful descriptions, which help in understanding the local culture and traditions through art. Some of them even have QR-codes with audio voice recordings.

"Visiting the museum of art was an unforgettable experience! The collection is diverse and beautifully curated, showcasing both classic masterpieces and contemporary works. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the visit. I highly recommend this museum to anyone looking to be inspired and immersed in creativity."

Museums and galleries in Bali I visited mostly have great hospitality not only for tourists who are interested in the displayed art/artifact. Neka Art Museum is one of them. I visited this museum back then in 2019 for my final project research for my bachelor degree and they're super helpful, welcoming me, and showed me the same enthusiasm; they were so pleased to every researcher interested in this museum. I even got a free book about museums in Bali from Pak Wija and he helped me so much with all the informal I neede. I will never forget his kindness.

Though not cheap to enter, we felt the price was worth it. Beautiful collection of artwork which was paired with thorough and interesting descriptions of each subject. Art styles were varied, but all very enjoyable. Not crowded at all. No A/C, but it wasn't hot thanks to a nice breeze. The ticket includes a small bottle of water and a couple sweet crisps. Bathroom was very clean. Plenty of secure parking on site.

This is an extraordinary museum contained in a complex of beautiful Balinese-style buildings. The founder appears to have had had relationships with a number of artists from different backgrounds, disciplines, and cultures. The paintings and sculptures, many of which are stunning, are nicely curated, and the exhibits are intelligently organized. Highly recommended.

Waterfalls
Tegenungan Waterfall is a well-known and easily accessible attraction in Bali, located just a short distance from Ubud. The waterfall is surrounded by lush jungle foliage and features a shallow bathing area. While it can get crowded, visiting early in the morning offers a chance to enjoy the natural beauty before the tourist activity picks up.
The Waterfall itself is an amazing piece of nature that everyone must come to see. The walk down takes about 10 minutes but it's nothing to be daunted by. Once you reach the bottom get in your swimwear and enjoy nature! A real shame with how commercialised the surrounding area has become though (note Ommo beach club especially).
Fraser McKnespiey — Google review
Breathtaking scenery and worth the visit. Descend down 150 stairs to get to the bottom of the waterfall. It's worth going up the other side to get closer to the top, there is a small cost. Walking back up the stairs could be difficult for some so pace yourself. Definitely take water as there isn't as much tree over as you'd think and it get very hot! There is some great little stores with beautiful silk dresses and robes. Highly recommended checking out this beautiful piece of the world.
Kristdel Bolog — Google review
Waterfall is okay. It's great that you can go down to the waterfall and take a dip around it. There's a day club as well near the waterfall with restaurant and swimming pool. If you go across the river and up to the restaurant on the otherside, you have to pay another entrance fee because that area is managed by a different business. Love the cold coconut (coconut in refrigerator), sold in the area on the way back to the parking lot.

My first water visit of my first Bali trip. It was very good. Was near to my hotel and I went there in the morning around 8am. Very less people were there at that time so I didn't have to stand and wait in the queue. I was beautiful and I would recommend it to visit once.
Kundan Rawat — Google review
My first waterfall visit so definitely a special one for me... After paying the entry fee, it's a steep climb down with a lot of steps, but the excitement is worth it. If you are not able to manage the steps, then the view from the top is still good. Water is not that much clear but people were enjoying in the water. Changing room is there. Overall photogenic place.

Visiting Tegenungan Waterfalls was an unforgettable experience! The beauty of these waterfalls is simply breathtaking. Entrance fee is IDR 20,000. Worth a visit. Bring your swim gears along to experience the waterfall to the fullest.. Having around 165 steps from upstairs to the waterfalls. Not too much but not too easy for elderly. Clean place. Many places to make photos without paying. Only pay once in the entrance. Well

Beautiful waterfall and one of the few that allows you to go so close. Do note there are two sides and ticketing is separate for both side. You can't buy the ticket below too. Let you guide know if you want to chill at the cafe side or the side where you can visit see the waterfall from the halfway point.

Nice waterfall. Water is muddy brown if it rains.. no swimming allowed during monsoon. You get to climb down around 150+ stairs to get to the fall. So if you are travelling with kid, think before you plan. The stairs are twice the height of regular stairs so be prepared. But overall a very nice experience. There’s an infinity pool if you want to have drinks and chill. There’s also a bridge with glass floor under construction.
Jigar Tank — Google review
Great falls. Clean water perfect for swimming. (you can't swim right under the falls though since it is cordoned off for safety) 5-10min easy walk to the falls with steps
Rahul S — Google review
It's absolutely stunning. There is also a swing at the top where you can swing over the edge. Just a tip, there is a restaurant at the bottom. If you buy a beer or something, you can get the elevator out. TRUE STORY!
Allan Treasure — Google review
The waterfall looks good but definitely not as big as I expected. Plus the area is heavily commercialised with a bar pumping out loud music nearby which really kills the atmosphere. It is more than 170 steps going all the way down to the foot of the waterfall so unless you are planning to have a swim it is probably not worth going down.
Chan Sheng — Google review
The access road is easy to walk on, i stayed on nearby villa, come on this venue on walk. The entrance fee is the same between domestic and expat, 20.000 IDR. Best time to come is in the morning, less crowded. However, the path to the waterfall is a bit challenging for elderly, multiple step of stair, might seems easy when going down, but literally 'breath-taking' when return (as we need to go up).
Aziza Nur Dewi Nirmalasari — Google review
You need to buy tickets before you head down to the waterfall. To visit the waterfall, you need to go down the stairs, I would not recommend this place for elderly people as there are way too many stairs. On the way down you can find small shops for refreshment & even have tables and chairs for seating. Photography can be done near the waterfall & even on the way down. People can even have a shower near the Waterfall.

Visiting Tegenungan Waterfalls was an unforgettable experience! The beauty of these waterfalls is simply breathtaking. The lush greenery surrounding the falls adds to the natural charm. Be prepared for a bit of a trek down to reach the falls, but the journey is part of the adventure. The path takes you through the picturesque jungle, making it a unique and immersive experience. Once you arrive at the falls, the sight and sound of the cascading water are mesmerizing. The pool at the base is inviting for a refreshing swim, and you can even get closer to feel the mist from the falls. Don't forget to bring your camera because you'll want to capture these moments. Tegenungan Waterfalls is a must-visit destination in Bali, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!

If you like natural attractions, this will be perfect for you. The waterfall is quite huge and there's no trash around the area If you want to get close to the waterfall, you have to walk down the stairs, although you cant swim near the waterfall, its still a beautiful view Parking space is also spacious and entry price is reasonable too

A picturesque waterfall in the heart of the Balinese jungle. The amount of water tumbling over the rocks was impressive. As a very popular attraction; be sure to get here early. Lots of picture opportunities on the wall down, you don’t have to stop at the first one. Be careful waking across the bamboo bridges, they can be slick.

The hike down is a little steep so be careful . There is a resort near the waterfall which plays loud music .. some might not like it but it adds a certain vibe to the place and also try the Ice Cream shop at the bottom . The waterfall itself is good and lots of places for clicking photos. Place is always crowded which also add to a good vibe. Not a must visit place but good enough to spend an afternoon in cold waterfall water 🙏

What is not to love. A beautiful waterfall, lots of spots to take amazing photos clear water. Make sure to cool down with a drink at Omma Day Club on the way back. Went early morning to this place and it was not crowded at that time. Have to walk close to 200 to 300 steps down to reach the falls. Clean and nice place . Some maintenance work was happening on the hand drill of the steps without any discomfort to visitors. Life guard not allowed to close to falls for safety reason which is fair enough. For kids pool kind of arrangements are available to enjoy the water. Good place to visit

It is not so happening waterfall. It is average waterfall compared to other places in Bali. There are no entry fees. The place is overcrowded. There is a steep hike to climb, so avoid hiking in the heat. There are food shops and convenience shops. There are few facilities to take a bath and change the clothes.

HONZEN Bali is a high-end Japanese restaurant located within Ayana, offering traditional Japanese cuisine with a focus on the finest ingredients. The restaurant blends authentic Japanese dishes with locally sourced produce from Bali, providing a wide range of options including fish, meat, raw, grilled, and noodles. With an ambiance that exudes serenity and quiet sophistication, HONZEN offers Teppanyaki Omakase and Sushi Kimura Omakase curated by Executive Chef Takumi Kimura.

Hozen is a nice high end Japanese Sushi restaurant within Ayana. It has some excellent food and prepared fresh in front of you if you sit at the sushi bar. The chefs are knowledgeable and can recommend special dishes to try. I had a full selection of sushi and other items. It is worth a visit, especially if you're staying in Ayana or Rimba.

It is ok but not a five star for me as many reviews here. Just an average Japanese restaurant but I can see that they try hard. We had sushimi platter, it is hard to fail, so we liked it, tofu was ok, salmon roll is not very tasty or delicately made, large chunks of veggies in it and no sauce, beef on rice was kind of sweet, maybe just not to our taste. They also set us in room that just had walls with no windows or decorations, it was a really weird experience. We had our food in 30 minutes and left. The quality and freshness of food was great though. I think they need a bit more training on Japanese cooking and do something with a dining room. Maybe some pictures on the wall, plants in the pots would drastically improve the situation.

I found this to be one of the safest choice for Japanese food in the area that offers the widest range of Japanese food to suit everyone mood - fish, meat, raw, grilled, noodles …. Honzen and Sumizen are in the same area/ complex but offering different style of Japanese. The ambiance is classically serene and quiet. It was a good refuge from the rain outside. The service is professional and very well staffed that they get confused who took the orders and who were supposed to pour the drink. However, they are so well trained that they’d jump out from the register area to help you the moment you started pouring for the table. The food is good and fresh.

Unfortunately we booked to stay at Ayana Segara with Luxury Escapes, which included lunch or dinner. We were disappointed to find it was only 2 dishes from a very small selected menu. The dishes are tapas size at best, and mainly consist of rice, and of a food court quality.

Honzen provided an exquisite culinary experience that made my fiancé's 31st birthday truly unforgettable. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance transported us to the heart of Japan. A magical Sushi Omakase experience by Chef Kimura, combined with the warm hospitality from Putra and the team set the perfect tone for the evening. We’ll definitely be back.

First of all, the newly reopened Honzen is much bigger in size compared to its previous premise. My wife had the grilled Salmon with garlic butter soy sauce while I ordered the shrimp fritter with cold soba. Both mains exceeded our expectations as we thought it will just be your regular flair of Japanese food. The Salmon was well grilled to my wife's liking while the shrimps tasted fresh despite they were deep-fried. The service staff were attentive, friendly and non-intrusive. Special shout-out to Tetty who had made great Sake recommendation that we enjoyed. Putra, manager of Honzen, was very hospitable and accommodating throughout the night. Overall, it was a great dinner with the fantastic hospitality entended to us by the service team at Honzen on our first night stay at Rimba Ayana. It will be a dining place we will go back again!

The taste here is beyond imagination. We have dined in the restaurant this Valentine's day in 2023. Note - INDIAN RESTAURANTS IN BALI ARE TOO COSTLY in comparison to other restaurants (I am not saying only about Queens, it's about every Indian restaurant). Every time we had food somewhere it was like 2k to 2.5k INR for a meal. But But they prepare good food & YES Queens WAS WORTH PAYING FOR SUCH DELICIOUS FOOD

We had a bad experience at Queen's of India. Even though the restaurant was empty they asked us to wait 20 minutes before allowing us to sit. While we were still eating they started collecting our half empty plates. Queen's of India are quite pricey compared to the other Indian Restaurants nearby in Kuta. The food quantity was less compared to the price charged for the food.

The one thing I have to point out is their mental block when it comes to drinking water. The first time we went there, we made our order and the waitress asked if we needed water, she went onto say that they have only mineral water and so we asked her to get a bottle. When she comes around bringing a fancy bottle of water which would be around 300ml, we thought we’d ask the cost and to our shock she said 36000 Rupiah. Obviously we declined the water and my friend went and picked up a 1L bottle which we had in our room. Funnily enough, the cost of that one litre bottle was just 7000 rupiah. Since we stayed in the neighbourhood, we went there a couple of times and each time we carried our own bottle but the staff refused to give us glasses to drink the water in since it wasn’t their overly priced water we were drinking and they would give us awkward stares if we placed our bottle on the table. All I have to say is if you charge 50K for a plate of chaat and 36K for 300mil of mineral water, there is something seriously twisted about that. If your restaurant is Indian themed I suggest you follow the Indian culture where we don’t refuse water to even strangers who come knocking at our door. We don’t ask you to provide us free water but please don’t try to loot customers in the name of it. Coming to the food, it was quite decent. They add food colouring to their curries that leaves a stain on the fingers which I didn’t like. Taste wise it’s ok and cost is a bit on the pricey side but I guess Indian food is considered exotic in Bali.

The food was very tasty and the ambience is nice..It is a place which suits everyone of any age. The hotel in-charge is very sweet and he personally takes care of each customer. We had to take away food for the airport. He took initiative and packed the food neatly. U get a masala dosa for all the south Indians which tastes and looks amazing

Staff is friendly and helpful. We have tried different kind of curry with Indian rice, called Basmati? and all of them were delicious. Probably the best Indian restaurant in Kuta.

Worst service ever .Never recommended to anyone .its very unhinged food there for example the onions which are used by other customers and when they left those are taken and gathered in a big plate and then will be served for us that’s the worst thing which I have ever seen. When it comes to the food portion it’s very very less won’t even sufficient for one person bcz I have ordered chicken biryani and I got 5 peace’s there is no place for rice lol . And last we ordered gulab jamun and I have never seen such jamun in my life . The waiter cleans other table and comes near us with the same hands that’s yukk. Over all never recommended to anyone ever .

Food was good and delicious. We've taken Chicken Biriyani, Dal Makhni and Paratha. Served fresh. Staff behavior was also good.

Poor service, slow delivery of naan for a buffet group, ruining the experience of the lackluster food itself. Inauthentic, cultural appropriation of food and everything Indian. Mislabeling veg and non-veg which can surely sour your experience of Indian cuisine. Surprisingly, the rudest staff I've met in a city filled with polite people. Only willing to comply when shown disappointment at their behavior. Please consider spending your hard-earned money at a place that values it.

Mediterranean restaurant
Scusa Restaurant is a recent addition to the AYANA Estate in Jimbaran, offering Mediterranean and Italian flavors. The restaurant provides a relaxed dining experience with its breezy terrace lounge adorned in white and blue accents reminiscent of the Aegean Sea. Guests have praised the air-conditioned setting, making it a comfortable escape from Bali's humidity.
Live music is played from Wednesday to Sunday. I had a lovely dinner outdoors hearing a nice performance and eating delicious food. Indoor is a little bit more formal and outdoors is a little more cosy. Octopus was outstanding, surf and turf was a nice combo and finally mango lava cake to close this lovely dinner. Wawan and Cindy were super nice and friendly as well as the whole staff. Thank you

Great experience of dining although quiet pricey. The staffs were great and very helpful. Very recommended if you want a calm dining experience and love mediterannean food. The grilled octopus is a must try.

Two reasons why this was the best meal we had in Bali - 1. It's airconditioned! That's just brilliant given the energy sapping humidity and heat in December. 2. It's the best Italian food I've had in years. Absolutely brilliant dishes from the octopus, to the squid ink risotto, the tagliatelli marinara, the crab ravioli, the pizza. Probably the best restaurant in ayana. Forget all the silly buffets... This is the real deal. But... The Italian chef left a few weeks ago in December 2023.... So I don't know how much longer the local ayana chefs will keep the standard of his food going. Get in quickly, it was such good Mediterranean / Italian and even Greek inspired food. The moussaka was excellent as well. There was some contention over the texture of the octopus... I enjoyed it, my father didn't - but the flavour was still very good. The portions were decent... But don't expect an Italian Mamas serving sizes. I would go back again but this was our last meal in Bali tonight. Outstanding meal, excellent service and live music as well from an acoustic trio.

The best culinary experience I’ve ever had. We had dinner made by chef Matteo Ponti (special guest) and it was out of this world. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. A unique experience I won’t forget!

Best mediterranean restaurant I have ever tried so Far.. Quality of the food and service. I Will back absolutely! The ravioli and the octopus are a must! Also the "scusa punch" was so refreshing! Good Job!! Thank You!!

We had an impeccable dinner at Scusa for my birthday in August 2023, which included a serenade by the live musicians plus a birthday dessert and card from the staff. Beyond these niceties, the staff are so accommodating and polite, and the design of the hotel is gorgeous. Most importantly, the food is delicious, with some of the best chicken I have tasted outside of my favourite country for chicken, Peru - and that was from the kids menu! I had the spicy sausage pizza and it was the perfect balance of dough, sauce and sausage. This was a memorable night for our family and we absolutely will be back the next time we come to Bali. A special shout out to Listiani who was our waitress for the evening. Final note: do yourself a favour and try the Butterscotch Martini!

Definitely the best restaurant in Bali! Excellent food, superb service, modern interior design, a very authentic Italian cuisine. We love the crab ravioli, grilled octopus and pizza a lot. Don't forget to order tiramisu as dessert as well. Strongly recommend to book this restaurant even if you are not staying in Ayana Hotel.

Perfection. This meal was absolutely beautiful, amazing presentation, everything was so fresh. All our meals were balanced and unique. I have to say the crab ravioli is one of my favourite pastas I have tried. Our server Dipo was so friendly, attentive and professional. Overall excellent service, fantastic food and beautiful ambiance. Will be back before the end of our stay at Ayana.

Absolutely amazing. Great compliments to the chef and kitchen for a delicious menu, the bar for creative and innovative use of ingredients, and the wonderful, friendly and attentive staff throughout the evening. We had a rough start because our 3 months was a bit fussy, but nonetheless the entire staff made us felt comfortable and welcome. We had 2023 Christmas Dinner here, and was our baby first Christmas. We felt very accommodated, our friend Juni, was very patient and professionally spaced our courses appropriately to our pace. This is a must try restaurant when in Bali.

Sumizen is an upscale Japanese dining destination located in Bali, adjacent to the relaunched Honzen Bali. It is the 28th dining destination at the resort and forms the largest Japanese restaurant in Bali along with Honzen Bali. The restaurant's building integrates traditional Japanese architecture and design, surrounded by Zen gardens that create a serene atmosphere reminiscent of rural Japan. Sumizen offers a mix of Korean and Japanese cuisine, providing a unique dining experience.
This place serves Korean and Japanese cuisine with a great ambience to top it off. The Omakase has a mixed of Korean and Japanese dishes to complete the dining experience. We went for the Korean BBQ and it was another great experience. The kimchi and tofu jjigae were on-point from a non-Korean taste bud perspective. Special mention to Gesta who assisted us in barbecuing the beef and seafood to perfection. Overall, an awesome experience with the excellent hospitality provided by Putra and his service crew on our second night stay at Rimba Ayana. Again, we will be back!!

We enjoyed the set menu when we dined at Sumizen during our stay at Ayana Resort. The restuarant is gorgeous with private dining rooms/areas for couples or parties, with lovely gardens outside. Our waiter was great and attentive and helped with cooking our wagyu on the grill situated in the middle of our table. Such a great experience and we would highly recommend!

Great one. Seems like they're newly opened but the food was really good. They have private rooms only with Japanese garden with bamboo and sand in the middle. Price were quite expensive but worth it. Lovely experience.

TELU Bar at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is a unique and sustainable bar that celebrates modern mixology while honoring Balinese heritage, environment, and people. The name "TELU" reflects the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Kirana, emphasizing the relationship with others, nature, and the creator. The bar's focus on sustainability is evident in its carefully crafted design and emphasis on recycling and reusing materials.
We visited this unique bar twice while enjoying our stay at the Four Seasons. It was an experience unlike any other! The manager's focus on sustainability truly make this space a story to be discovered. Everything in sight is carefully crafted to emphasize recycling and reusing. From the art, to the glassware, to the drink ingredients, everything has been considered. The arak tasting room was a fun and informative experience, as was the story behind each element of barware. Anyone who appreciates eco friendliness will appreciate the effort that has gone into the design of this one of a kind place. Each drink is an experience of its own, offering a different glass and unique ingredients. The snacks are so good and satisfied our hankering for something small and flavorful. The garden within Telu offers a family size table that could make for an intimate and comfortable group experience. We cannot wait to visit again!
