Mountains
Girnar mountain peak is a well-known destination for Hindu and Jain pilgrims, with numerous temples spread across its forested terrain. The mountain rises dramatically from the surrounding plains, offering stunning views to those who brave the daunting climb up its 10,000 stone steps. To reach the uppermost temples requires a full day's walk, but visitors are rewarded with breathtaking sunrises and an unforgettable hiking experience.
Girnar has the highest pick of the gujarat. There are approx 10000 steps. Rope way takes you till Ambaji. If you want to visit Jain temple, you have to come down by walk or “palkhi”. From Ambaji, you can go further towards Gorakhnath and Guru Datatrey. Its approx 2800 steps from Ambaji. Parking: plenty of parking available near to the rope way. Its on small ground and side of the road so its free but not secure.

Experienced spiritual journey. You might find some difficulties during climbing but some kind of spiritual energy will give you strength. I don't know how I did this, that was quite impossible for me because of health issues, but at last I completed my journey. Jay Girnari 😊🙏

Girnar, also known as Girinagar or Revatak Parvata, situated near Junagadh. Is considered older than the Himalayas, Girnar, the mountain and its range are considered sacred. It is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus , who gather here during the Girnar Parikrama festival. Later on some Jain temples were also built, some of which are very recent. Girnar is one of the five major ‘tirthas’ attributed to the ‘panch kalyanakas’ of various ‘Jain tirthankaras’. Girnar is also significant among Shiva devotees for the so-called “mystic space-time” of the mountain range, with the presence and turnover of different sects of Sadhu Babas, Nath sect and others. Flora and fauna fairs are also held at the mountains, such as the Maha Shivratri fair. It hosts a number of temples and some historical spots across its range. Amidst the lush green Gir Forest, the mountain range serves as the hub of religious Here is the some places which are not so much wellknown but must visit places around the girnar , or you can say on the route of PARIKRAMA Gaumukhi, Bordevi, Hanuman Temple, Sita madhi, Hanuman Madhi, Kamandal Kund, Datatrey Shikhar, Hasnapur Dam and many more. The photos are more of the places which is mot so famous. Now the Girnar roap way is working in its full strength and it is now easy to reach to the top of mountain and in between clouds and also infrant of JAGAT JANANI MA AMBA BHAVANI. The crest of the mountain (3330 feet) is reached by a steep flight of stairs. Here is an ancient temple of Hindu Goddess Amba mata temple, which is much resorted to by newly married couples . The bride and bridegroom have their clothes tied together, and attended by their male and female relations, adore the goddess and present cocoa-nuts and other offerings. This pilgrimage is supposed to procure for the couple along continuance of wedded bliss. I am giving every one who like mountaineering and see the photos and find the remote places for the adventure purpose and specially live in the clean and green environment

GIRNAR: Let me share you my experience of THE Girnar. Journey from Ahmedabad To Junagadh via Train. Railway station To Girnar destination via Auto. You can negotiate there its fun. Started climbing after refreshment at hotel and breakfast at around 4AM. ( Don't worry, you wont be alone, you will see many people starting to climb at this time. Also locals will be there to guide you) Bring Food (Fast food) and water with you in Bag. Girnar has around 10K steps (one way) and highest peak of Gujarat state. There are more than 3 temples in different level of Peak. Last destination would be Dattatrey Temple at 10k steps. 3 ways to hike: Trekking, Ropeway and doli. Ropeway will help you till 4k steps at Ambaji temple. You will have to strike for Dattatrey by walking only or Doli. It took approx 2 hours to reach Ambaji temple (4k step). The view from there is just spledid fr. From there, it would take another 2 hours to reach 10k steps at dattatrey. And The view from highest peak there will literally take your breathe away. Its one in a lifetime experience. Its like go before you turn 30 experience to me. They also provide you free lunch there in one of temples idk name. In my opinion, Go visit there only in Monsoon as you wont be tired in this season, also wont be needing drinking water much. Winter would be difficult as your body wont allow you to trekk in this temprature. And dont even think about summer lol. Its a one day Trekking so you can plan ut on saturday so you can rest sunday and go to jail, i mean job, on monday. We walked +24km in Girnar (smart watch). Attaching Photos and videos i have taken in Girnar for your reference.

Wonderful and beautiful mountains, sunset, climate and temples😍. From Ropeway you reach to mata temple and it's in the middle of jain and dattatray mountain. The steps are really hard so please rent wooden stick. Come up with snacks & drinking water because expensive over here. Only one problem is there tourist throws all the waste in the mountains so it is damaging natural elements and also it's harmful how can they clean the mountain deeply. Please use your mind and dustbin.

At 4000 staircases, there is Jain tirth of Mulnayak Shree Neminath Bhagwan. It's an ancient idol all over the world. At 5500 staircases, Hindu Temple of Shree Ambika Mata ji. And at 10000 staircases, peak of the mountain there is Shree Dattatray Temple. Ropeways facilities are available at Ambika Mata temple, 5500 staircases.

One of most divine place on the earth I must say! Girnar moutain is older than Himalaya and it has Ambaji mata the incarnation of Parvati Mata and Guru Dattatray on its peak, makes very auspicious and divine. One must visit this mountain once in a life. It has 10000 steps, in order to climb this you need to be physically feet. There is also ropeway cable car service available till Ambaji temple. After that you need to climb 3000 more steps which will take 2-3 hours to reach Guru Dattatray temple. Darshan of Ambaji mata and Guru Dattatray bhagwan makes you refresh, your fatigue will get vanished and you will feel the inner peace for sure. This mountain, trail and all these places are very auspicious and divine so please keep this in mind while climbing. Please keep it clean. Jai Girnari !

One of the highlight place in Junagadh. If somebody is coming 1st time then place use cable instead of walking if you are coming in hot weather. It will talk 3-4hrs to climb up and 1-2 hrs to climb down. If you want to climb by walk then be sure in night as in night weather is not that much hot.

Totally there are about 9999 steps to and fro from Girnar Girinagar Girnar also known as Girnar Hill or main tourist attraction in the area, top of the hill, is a group of beautifully carved Jain temples built between 1128 and 1500. Neminath, the 22nd tirthankara. There is the peak of Ambaji, with a height of 3,330 ft (1,010 m), which is famous for the temple dedicated to the goddess Amba Mata dating back to the 12th century. The steps go down and up again to Gorakhnath Peak at 1116m (3666 ft) above sea level, where there are footprints of the rishi Gorakhnath. The steps again go down and there is Kamandal Kund and another peak where there are footprints of Guru Dattatreya. The steps to Dattatrey Peak are quite difficult. Visitors must climb 8,500 steps to reach the top of the hill, so it is best to start early in the morning (before 6 am)

One of the oldest zoo of India - almost 160 years old.. Needs lot of maintenance. Located near Sonrakh River Bridge on the Junagadh-Rajkot highway in Junagadh city. Considered one of the prime Junagadh tourist attractions, the zoo authorities are famed for having wild and free moving Asiatic lions that have been wiped out from most of Asia and are nowadays found only in the nearby Gir Forest. Apart from the Asiatic Lions, the Junagadh Zoo is home to 700 mammalian species, 115 reptiles, and 200 hundred birds. Chowsingha or the four-horned antelopes, Indian Leopards, chital, sambar, blackbucks, black panther, hippopotamus, Crocodiles, Ostriches, spotted deer, flying squirrel, monkey, etc. are the main animal species found in the zoo. Lush-green Ravantad tad palms, foxtail palms, tall Ashoka trees, and large banyan trees visible from the busy road add to the beauty of the zoo’s general surroundings which otherwise resemble that of the Gir forest, the last abode of Asiatic lions in the world. They've taken away the tigers as they were nowhere to be seen during the visit. As of the conditions of animals were not in a proper manner. Wildlife should be protected at any cost as they are very essential for our mother nature. Taking utmost care of them and providing necessary facilities will do a little part on ourselves to ensure the beautiful mother nature.

Gir National Park in Gujarat is a vast wildlife sanctuary and the last remaining habitat of the Asiatic lion. Visitors can embark on safaris through the park, where they may witness thrilling moments such as the king of the jungle hunting prey. December to April is considered the best time to visit. The nearby town of Sasangir is home to an interpretive zone, crocodile breeding farm, and Gir Information Center where visitors can learn more about this unique ecosystem and its inhabitants.
Amazing experience! A must visit.. To see the wild life in their own natural habitat is a treat! Make sure you book for the early morning permit to maximize chances of seeing the big cats. The guides are knowledgeable and the whole process of booking the gypsy safari is painless.

One of the popular national parks of India, was busy when we visited last week. Though our booking was done and the fees where nominal, the place was crowded with brokers milling around trying to make few extra bucks. We got a brand new vehicle (Mahindra ?) with a good guide, but the challenge was language. Our guide could speak only in Hindi with us which most in my family couldn't follow. This experience could be improved with translation devices or recorded pods. Our Safari was for three hours and we almost didn't see any Lion, but got lucky as we were exiting the forest. We saw a lion resting and ignored totally. Good place, but visitor amenities can be improved significantly.

Amazing experience was a very smooth experience as everything was booked by our travel agent ! Safari was very professional and was very clean . There only one bathroom stop but I would not go was too dirty .again india is trying hard to keep everything clean but the population needs to be educated about cleanliness ! Everything was great I have no complaints but my one big question is why are lions so skinny don’t they get food on this open jungle anyone with answer please respond 🙏🏼😊. .Also I just praised this safari and o heard from people these are tamed lions 😥 also heard they do safari at night after the restricted time is over and bait the lions with bad food ? I hope whatever I heard is wrong and forest officials are involved in such crude things ! I generally don’t visit zoo or any such enclosed space to see animals but was excited to see this but now after hearing such things I am not sure how I feel about this place 🥲 Honestly want to take the star rating out after hearing this but hoping someone would respond to this and tell us if it’s true or not !

I really enjoyed the trip. It was a bus safari. Truly mesmerizing memories and enjoyed a lot. One of the main attractions of Gir National Park is the Asiatic lions, which are found only in this region. These majestic creatures roam freely in the wild, giving visitors a rare opportunity to witness them in their natural habitat. Apart from lions, Gir forest is also home to a diverse range of wildlife, including leopards, hyenas, jackals, and deer. The birdlife in Gir is also impressive, with over 300 species of birds found in the forest. The beauty of Gir forest lies not just in its wildlife, but also in its conservation efforts. The forest is a testament to the success of conservation initiatives, as the population of Asiatic lions has steadily increased over the years. The forest is meticulously managed by the forest department to ensure the protection of its flora and fauna, making it a well-preserved natural habitat. Want to visit again😍

We did 5 safaris in the Gir National Park and 1 at Devaliya Park. Planned well in advance to avoid surprises / shocks. The National Park is not divided into zones (unlike some other Parks) but has routes (1 to 13). Routes may have repetitive patches. My wife and I love the jungle experience and we were not disappointed at all. We had 28 lion / lioness / cub sightings in total (in the 5 jungle safaris). These included multiple males / females and 6 cubs. We also sighted a leopard drinking water very close by. Sighted three different types of owls (Spotted, Brown Fish and Scops Owl) and 2 types of Eagles. Many other birds, spotted deer, sambar deer, neelgaay, etc. Try taking different routes (just show your previous safari slip to the official and she / he would be kind enough to allot a new route). Expect some repetition in the route but enjoy the jungle feel! We tried all three slots - 6 to 9, 9 to 12 and 4 to 7 and had sightings in all three. Fantastic guides and drivers. Heartening was to see the officials take care of the animals in the jungle. We have also been to Kanha and Bandhavgarh - trust me - Gir will not disappoint. In fact, the experience was way beyond our expectations!

Don't keep high expectations, they charge 1000 for permit which need to be booked online + 2400 for jeep, 1 jeep dedicated for each permit even if you are 1 person, We found only 1 lion in 2 hours safari, the kamleshwar dam is splendid, it was an amazing view from the watch tower, must visit place, book slot online 1 month in advance since there are limited slots, we had booked 2 safari, we had to cancel 1, I recommend only 1 safari, also try to avoid stay more then 1 day if you have other travel plans.

Visited the place 2 weeks back and it was just awesome. We had booked permits a month before from the official forest department gujrat website, and booked the safari Jeep and guide on the day before the safari. The overall experience was smooth. The safari itself was enjoyable. I do recommend doing multiple safari at different times as you will see many animals up and about based on the time of the day.

The Reconstruction of this marvelous building is now completed and with its polished look it is looking like taj mahal complex, this is a simple presantation of love and peace from mohabbatkhan nawab of Junagadh, and creatice support by his brother un low Bahauddin Bhai. These mausoleums are known for amalgamation of Indo-Islamic styles (mainly Gujarat Sultanate and Mughal) with considerable European (Gothic) influence. These mausoleums have the carvings on its inner and outer façades and arches with yellowish light brown exterior. They have onion-shaped domes, French windows, sculptures, marble tracery work, marble columns, marble jalis and silver doorways. The minarets on four sides of one of these mausoleums has winding staircases around them.[3] The Jama Mosque is located nearby with similar architectural At a distance of 1 km from Junagadh Junction, Mahabat Maqbara is a mausoleum situated in Mullawada locality of Junagadh. Also called Mausoleum of Bahaduddinbhai Hasainbhai, it is one of the historical monuments in Gujarat and among the prime places to visit in Junagadh. Often considered as the most imposing architectural monument in Junagadh, Mahabat Maqbara was originally the residential palace of Babi Nawabs. The construction of the palace was started by Mahabat Khanji in 1878 CE and was completed by his successor Bahadur Kanji in 1892 CE. The palace complex is now houses the tombs of Mahabat Khan II, the 6th Nawab of Junagadh and Bahaduddinbhai Hasainbhai, the minister of Nawab Rasul Khanji. Both mausoleums at Mahabat Maqbara palace complex are the fine examples of art and architecture, typical of the late 19th century royal monuments of Junagadh. Mahabat Maqbara, the mausoleum of Mahabat Khan, is a fusion of Indo-Islamic, European and Gothic architecture and was built in 1982 CE by Bahadur Khan III for his father Mahabat Khan II. The most striking feature of the monuments is its floor-to-lintel French windows and the Gothic columns alongside silver inner doors. It also boasts of an intricate cluster of bulbous domes supported by columns built in Gothic style. Standing on the left of the Mahabat Maqbara is the elaborately designed Bahauddin Maqbara, the tomb of Wazir Bahaduddinbhai Hasainbhai. It was constructed by Sheikh Bahauddin with his own funds during the period 1891-1896 AD. A sight to behold, the Bahauddin Maqbara resembles the Taj Mahal in structural design, with its bubbled domes and four minarets on the four corners with whirling spiral staircase. The minarets have rich stone carvings and large silver doors. A cautious climb up the narrow stairs gives an awe-inspiring view of the domes and other vintage buildings in the neighbourhood. There are also a number of Haveli's inside the Maqbara which have some best wooden carvings and jharokhas which resemble the Gujarat domestic architecture. The Mahabat Maqbara is generally kept under lock and key, but can be glimpsed into by obtaining the keys from the mosque situated beside the mausoleum.

An intriguingly beautiful gem hidden away in a quaint sleepy town of Junagadh. A mix of intricate elements from European-Gothic-Indian architecture and the white and golden color makes it extremely attractive! Dedicated to Nawab Mahabat Khan II and a second monument adjacent to this, for his minister. A must visit with a hassle free entry ticket of just 20/- per adult. Pause and enjoy the stillness and beauty of the place!

Located near Junagadh railway station, very beautiful building and unique architecture, renovation work is going on and hopefully it will look more beautiful after the completion of the renovation. The most important spot to visit in Junagadh after girnar. It's worth your time if you are interested in heritage buildings and architecture.

The architecture is very beautiful, the surroundings are messy and dirty. The place is under renovation so unless you can talk the workers into letting you in, you will have to be content with views from outside. Once renovated and if the surroundings are clean, this place could be a good crowd puller. It is walking distance from the Junagadh bus stand and a stone's throw away from the railway station.

Mahabat Maqbara and Bahauddin Maqbara are two important monuments that should not be missed when you are in Junagarh. Both located at the same compund, it is at a walking distance from the Junagarh Railway Station. The monuments have been recently renovated and is very well maintained. The cost of entry tickets is Rs 20 for adults and Rs 10 for children below 12 years. Locals (from Junagarh) needs to pay half the cost. For non Indians, the entry fee is Rs 100. Cameras cost a lot (Rs 885) however phone cameras are allowed free of cost. Bahauddin Maqbara has been built over the tomb of Sheikh Muhammad Bahauddin, who was the Diwan in Junagadh during 19th century. The Maqbara exhibits architectural splendour during the Babi Dynasty. The speciality of this Maqbara is the ornate minars at the four corners of the Maqbara have spiral stairs externally to climb, which is unlike any other minars. The architectural style and carvings of the Maqbara reflects the fusion of of Islamic and Hindu art. Finely carved arches, jalis(screen) made of marble, various decorative designs, round shaped central dome at the top and and small dome on the four corners of the roof adorn the Maqbara. The Mahabat Maqbara was built on the tomb of Nawab Mahabat Khan-II by the Diwan of Junagadh, Bahauddin. Mahabat Khan Maqbara is a classic example of the fusion of the Hindu the Islamic and the Western architectural style. This Maqbara has a central dome surrounded by a variety of smaller domes. On the outside of the Maqbara, various carvings including flowers, window-like structures, domes etc. can be found. This is a must visit place in Junagarh.

A fort and town was established at the foothills of Girnar hill during reign of the Maurya Empire. Abhira Chudasama King Graharipu Ahir (r. c.940-c.982) cleared the old structure from the jungle. and laid the foundations of the new citadel. Dewan of Junagadh State, Haridas Viharidas had restored the fort In 1893-94. Government of Gujarat initiated restoration of the fort and the structures inside it In July 2020. Structures - Jumma Masjid built by Mahmud Begada. The Tomb of Nuri Shah is close to the mosque. There are two Wells in the Uparkot — the Adi Kadi Vav is descended by a long flight of steps; and the Navghan Kuvo, cut to a great depth in the soft rock, and with a circular staircase. Uparkot Caves are 2nd-3rd century double storeyed Buddhist cave complex located in the Uparkot. Nawabi Lake is a square artificial lake.

History: Said to have been built in 319 BC, the fort was the architectural work of Chandragupta. But the fort changed many hands. Remnants of different rulers can be seen in some parts of the structure. For example, on the rampart above the gate is an inscription of Mandalika III, dated 1450. Another emblem is in the form of a 10 inch bore cannon of bell-metal - 17 feet long and 4 feet 8-inch round at the mouth. This gun was brought from Diu, where it was left by the Ottoman Turks when they were defeated in the Siege of Diu in the mid-16th century. Best time to visit: The best time to visit is between November and February.

It's a fort which used to accommodate whole town in it. Great place-- not to be missed. Very historical place. If you can go on foot it is definitely better but if you can not, there is an electrical car which takes you to the places in the fort. Uparkot was really a must visit place before the government made huge commercial development inside the fort. Now it's less historical and more urban. You will have to pay separately for visiting the Baudhh Caves which are already there inside the fort, and for the fort itself there are entry fees of Rs.100/- per person. It is a great historical place, but the government has changed it to a commercial place by building Game Zones, Food Zones, Sports & Entertainment Zones inside the fort. They just vanished the original beauty of the historical fort. I am not recommending visiting Uparkot now.

It's a really good place to visit if you are more of a history person. The fort is huge and takes around 3 hours to fully explore it. I have had a chance to visit it with my family but we didn't have much time to enjoy it thoroughly, though we managed to go through the main attractions in this fort and learned more about the history. The type of people there were, old weapons used by the king and the facilities provided in the fort to make people's lives easy. It was a very good and memorable experience! Take some time and explore this fort with your friends and family.

Disappointing Experience at hotel utsav Junagadh I recently dined at Utsav, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The presence of hair follicles in the food was not only unappetizing but also a serious hygiene concern. Despite bringing this to the attention of the staff, their uncooperative and rude behavior left much to be desired. The staff's lack of willingness to address the issues and their dismissive attitude was disappointing. It reflected poorly on the overall customer service. The ambiance failed to create a pleasant dining atmosphere, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with my visit. Even more disheartening was the management's reluctance to listen to customer concerns. A restaurant's success is built on a foundation of customer satisfaction, and unfortunately, this fundamental aspect seemed overlooked during my visit. In light of these issues, I cannot recommend Utsav to others, as my experience was marred by subpar hygiene, unprofessional staff behavior, and an uninviting atmosphere. I hope this feedback prompts the necessary improvements for a better dining experience in the future.

We tried 2 restaurants here during our visit to Junagadh. I think this is one of the better options if you are nearby Railway station or around. The place is known to most of the local people here. Tried their Gujarathi thali, Paratha combo and Punjabi subji and roti. All tastes good and the quantity is decent enough. Besides the place is Shuddha Shakahari. They have Kumbhakarna and Bahubali thali for group of 6-8 people and it seems larger groups prefer that as we saw few of the families having that thali.

Patel restaurants are one of the best and well known restaurant in junagadh. And specially this patel restaurant is famous bcoz of its special dish "kumbhakaran thali(कुंभकर्ण थाली)". It is not only big in size but the food quality is also good and it is joy to see how they present their dish to you.

This restaurant is especially famous for its kubhakaran thali. So we ordered it. The thali had different types of sweets, shabji and many other items which is enough for four to five people and was priced at Rs 1250. The food was really delicious. The staff is polite and the service was very quick. The restaurant is on first floor so it has no wheelchair accessible entrance ♿❌

They serve amazing food.We had opted for Kumbkaran thali and it had 30 plus items including rotis and naans. The staff is extremely supportive and helpful. We had senior citizens with us for dinner so we requested to customize the roti platter and give us more chapatis instead of naans/butter rotis and they agreed which is quite uncommon.

Nice place place, there are 2 patel hall at the place. The top one is the older one. We had kumbhkaran thali, it was great all the dishes were delicious. The place is a little cramped and too noisy. If you are looking to have a good time while eating, then this is not the place for you. You can definitely visit to taste good food.

The restaurant I recently visited had decent food and service. The dishes were satisfactory, though not particularly outstanding. The service was average, with staff attending to basic needs. The ambiance was pleasant but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it was an average dining experience.
Darshan Bhuva — Google review
We went here for the Kumbhkaran thali, and it didn't disappoint. The food was great, all dishes tasted good and it pretty much fed 4 adults and 2 children, with lots left over. All staff were really attentive, and looked after all our needs. Staff were also great at wanting to avoid waste and ensured we knew there was a smaller thali option and talked us through the differences. Would highly recommend a visit if staying in Junagadh.

Being my 1st time to this place and learned out many videos and website , we were confident everything should be good, but to our taste buds it was beyond what we could think . Loved every dish we ordered and every single day while we passed by , crowd was packed to the brim with a waiting time of upto 20 mins - all on weekdays! Kudos to the team , hygiene and last of taste which was 👌🏻

Perfect patra , thankfully not laden with sauce or sweet! Coconut punch was a refreshing surprise! Dabeli light and tasty and the Panki chutney was really good too. Only drawback - Undiyu - taste and portion size couldve been better.

One of the most fun places to eat good local food. I know the chain is from Mumbai the food served is amazing. I would definitely recommend you to go there and try as much as you like the portions are medium and the service is fast. The shrikhand is outstanding and the food have authentic flavours.

This is Swati’s (A Mumbai based chain restaurant) first Ahmedabad restaurant which serves variety of traditional dishes (Mostly Marathi & Gujarati) with an authentic flavour and a few street foods also with a distinctive taste. One good thing about restaurant is having a transparent kitchen and in parallel you can have a view of lively street in front. You can term it as little bit expensive as compare to the portions of each dish served but your complaint vanishes as soon you taste the dish. The ambience was good, staff was polite providing fast service and cleanliness was superb. Opening hours (daily): Dine-in: 12:00 Noon to 10:45pm. What I personally recommend to try: Thalipith - Pitla Panki chatni Dhan shak bhat Chola Methi Dhokla - Kadhi

As the name suggests, the restaurant offer snack items. The menu was limited we didnt like anything much on the menu so we ordered something safe, a burger which was okayish. The restaurant was full when we visited so the service was quite slow. The restaurant from inside has no decor as such, just tables and chairs.

At 430pm the queue outside on a Monday working day was 15min long. At 2pm the queue was for 40min. So it’s a very popular place which means congested cramped super fast service and you can’t eat in peace as there is constant peer pressure to finish fast. The dishes are amazing taste wise. Place is bit pricy. Dishes are unique too. I asked the queue manager to suggest me best 4 dishes and he sent all to our table within 2min of seating! So I don’t know the names but they tasted good.

Swati has for the few years become a mandatory thing for those visiting Ahmedabad . They serve traditional gujarti cuisine along with regular South Indian and chat from other indian region . Panki , sabudana khichadi , thalipith, dhokla , patra , handvo, baked masala khichadi are their signature dishes . Simple and neat place . #purevegetarian #jainfood available . Do not miss the ice gola kiosk at the entrance.

Had a great time here. Loved their delicacies. Do try the 1. Signature Panki Chatni. 2. Other hits were Bedai Roti - Shak - Shirkhand and Chola Methi Dhokla - Kadhi, Ragda Patties. The drinks were all a miss and does not justify the price. Overall the place is a bit overpriced though.

We had an amazing lunch experience here. Menu is short but very thoughtfully created. One / two signature dish from each local Indian state cuisine. Wonderful. We ordered 1)Dahi Misal - mesmerising quality and taste. Full of sprouts. 2)Thalipeeth - Aunthentic maharashtrian taste with the besan gravy personally loved it 3)Bedai roti with shrikhand & aloo subzi - majorly on heavier side . Not much enjoyable than the other two..but overall it was just perfect.

This place is a must visit when in Ahmedabad! Their menu has many traditional gujarati items as well as regular chaat and dosa items. We loved the ponk bhel which is a seasonal speciality served in the winter months. Overall all food items are very tasty and feel clean and well cooked. We have visited this place multiple times and always loved it!

During our stay in Ahemdabad, this is the place that we constantly went to. Their food is so good, that it made me, a guy who doesn't like vegetables, eat the whole bowl without protest. Great hygiene, great staff and lip smacking food. My special favourite was the malpua. No spoilers, but it is a heavenly experience and will be very different from your expectations. Swati snacks is a gem in Ahmedabad for vegetarians.
Kanika Sharma — Google review
This place was recommended to us on our trip to Ahmedabad as a good place for enjoying local street food. We landed up getting here thrice during our 2.5 days stay. They serve very authentic, tasty and hygenic food. The prices are on a bit higher side but we found it to be worth! Their Panki Chatni, Satpadi Roti & Baked Masala Khichadi is to die for! Go there for street food & not for the ambience. The later is not bad but it's not close to fine dining.

For anyone wanting to try extremely well made Gujarati food - this is your place. I visited here from London and was amazed at the level at which each item was carefully prepared. Clearly, the owners/chef have taken time with each dish too push towards perfection. It not over spiced, over hot but made for a taste sensation. . Balancing both the spice without hiding the beauty of the ingredient - The Bejari rotlow being a prefect example. We had sugarcane juice (which as traveller we dont normally drink due to fear of sickness) was fantastic! A absolute MUST visit for anyone in AMD.

What a superb experience at Swati! The food taste and the service is top class- fast, efficient, clean, tasty and the staff is super well trained and kind. Love coming here and if you are in Ahmedabad you have to visit Swati!

Taste is just ok. Nothing extra ordinary except price. Every item is super expensive like 5 Star restaurant. For example, 220 /- sugarcane juice, 257/- Panki (only name is exciting, it’s basically 3 thin layer of Dhokala wrapped in Banana leaf. 125/- Single vada pav I was aware about their overpriced menu but I was hoping that food might be delicious. But I found nothing exciting except price. We were two person and we only order a light snacks and it costs us around 1050/- !!!

Amazing Gujarati snacks food items. They are usually busy and the wait time is anywhere between 20 to 40 minutes. The prices are a bit high but the food was too yummy for me being non-gujarati. The daal dhokli and panki chutney were highlighting and not to forget guava ice cream.
