Tajima Plateau Botanical Gardens

Botanical garden
Nature & Parks
The Tajima Plateau Botanical Gardens offer scenic paths that wind around hills adorned with ponds and meadows filled with flowers, as well as a stunning Katsura tree that has been around for centuries. Despite its popularity, visitors can still find moments of peace on weekdays when the crowds are smaller. The plants in the garden thrive thanks to ample nutrition and water, evident from their large leaves. Admission fees are 500 yen for adults and free for toddlers, while the parking lot is free.
(Translated by Google) It is a botanical garden that makes the best use of the nature of the vast site. There are benches in some places, so I think it's a place where you can spend your time. I was allowed to go at the end of May, when the fresh green was beautiful and the temperature was comfortable, the root of the big wig was separated, and the water was flowing vigorously and there was also spring water. There were places where I could feel the temperature by putting my hands in some parts of the small river, and there was a sign saying [Can I keep putting it for 15 seconds?], So I tried putting my hands on it, but it was so cold that I could put it in for 15 seconds. did not. The water was clean and the flow was soothing. Admission is 500 yen per adult, and parking is free. I think that it is difficult for people who are uncomfortable to take a walk because of the slopes and narrow roads, but there are places where you can go with a wheelchair, so you can enjoy it if you choose a walking place.

I went there in the afternoon, but there was no one else in the vast area. Maybe it was because of the light rain, but it was luxurious. As for the food, the restaurant has changed to a bento style, and you can eat it inside the botanical garden, but it's very expensive and it's hard not to have soup. Well, it was pretty tasty, but... Reservations for Yakiniku must be made at least one day in advance. The food at the restaurant was delicious, the walk through the botanical garden was great, and I even saw skunk cabbage for the first time, and the famous giant wig is worth a visit. I was soothed by the sound of birds and the fresh spring breeze. Free parking. The admission fee of 500 yen for adults is also amazing. The botanical garden is quite large and there are many photo spots. It is well maintained and you can take a break on benches and hammocks. At the very back of the garden, there was a large Japanese pond wig, and spring water was flowing out vigorously. The melted snow water that had been polished by the mountains was very cold and delicious. It's quite a distance from Osaka city, so it's a good drive. The asphalt on the mountain road was bumpy in some places, but the road was fairly wide and easy to drive on. I was worried that the roads would be crowded since it was the first day of Golden Week, but there weren't many cars, probably because the weather wasn't great. I had visited Hachikita many times when I was young for skiing, so I felt nostalgic. If you go ahead along the Tajima Kogen Botanical Garden road, you will reach Hachikita. We went to have a BBQ at the tree house at the special venue of the Tajima Kogen Botanical Garden restaurant. It was raining a bit so we were the only ones in the tree house. The other people apparently ate at the restaurant. It was a light rain, so I was able to enjoy it without the rain coming in. I reserved the A course for meat. I said later that it would have been better to have the S course, but it was just delicious. (I think the quality of the meat is not good enough💦) The amount may be small for men. There are no aprons, so if you don't want your clothes to get dirty, it's best to bring a jacket that you don't mind getting dirty. Since the BBQ was on a gas stove, it took a while for vegetables etc. to cook. Thanks to you, we were able to talk slowly 😄 Also, it comes with rice and miso soup, and the miso soup was brought to me in a thermal container, which I was very impressed with. The staff at the shop were also fun to talk to. It was a good experience. My only regret was that I didn't go to the botanical garden this time because the weather was bad. The Hachi Kita ski resort, located in an alpine setting, provides a range of slopes suitable for skiers of all levels. The facilities include classes for those who wish to improve their skills, as well as a restaurant and a children's park. The friendly staff also adds to the overall experience. Visitors can enjoy great skiing conditions along with good food during their trip. Additionally, the Shinki Bus Heart Tour offers excellent day trips to this picturesque location.
(Translated by Google) One of the ski resorts in the neighborhood that is open late in spring. Unexpected amezing ski resort, both hachikita and hachi ski grounds are linking togather by mountain peak lift. More than 20 lifts and 4000 meters long course. Almost no foreigner visited here, all japanese snowsports enthusiasts. There are a lot of park area and half pipe zone for x game lovers. More than 100 traditional japanese style small b&b and hotel here, provide cozy service and tasty foods, most with breakfast and dinner, each one has dry room for ski equipment and public hot tubs for exhausting player to recover. Really enjoy the antique old time ambience. There are ski buses from kobe and osaka downtown around 2 - 3 hours journey, it's best way to hachikita ski resort if you dont have private vehicle. Train railway system is not convenient, because no direct one to here needed transfering multi-times. In the ski field there are tons of food choices reataurants and nearby hotel and b&b to deal with lunch and afternoon tea time, but few options for dinner if your dinner not included in hotel plan. The small village also has a lot of terrace farms just like stairs of the mountains, and grow rice on the farms. It's fantastic scenery of japanese agriculture.

(Translated by Google) It was almost my first time there, but both Hachikita and Hachi Kogen are large, and I enjoyed the slopes in Hyogo Prefecture for the first time in a while. Just the north wall going from Hachi North to Hachi Plateau? The place is quite a tricky course because the board will float and fall when you turn on a steep slope. I think I understand why so many people use the lift to move between both slopes.

Great slopes at great prices. Even later in the season, the snow was well maintained. The only negative part of my visit was how the lift attendants had no idea what they were doing. They never pull the seat for you, so it slams into your legs and back, pinching your calves between your boots and the seat and really hurting your back. One guy did something weird with the seat so I timed my sitting wrong and got my ski caught under the seat as it moved forward. He had no idea what to do, so I just got dragged up into the air, barely staying on the lift.

When inquiring about the availability of the Tajima beef croquette (priced at 200 yen), it was mentioned that it was temporarily out of stock in the display case. However, I was informed that if I could wait around 5 minutes, a freshly prepared one could be obtained. To my surprise, the croquette turned out to be more delicious than anticipated with its rich umami flavor and sweetness derived from the combination of potatoes and meat.
(Translated by Google) I checked in advance and it was the last roadside station in front of the campsite, so I stopped by to buy Tajima beef for yakiniku. It is a horizontally long building, with toilets, product stores, butcher shops, and restaurants lined up from the right. First of all, I was surprised that the toilet was new and clean. At the product stores, you will be overwhelmed by the large number of souvenir products such as frozen beef bowls made with Tajima beef and retort curry. Some local vegetables were also placed. At the butcher shop "Ushisho" next door, the clerk handled the meat very carefully, and when I asked, "This must be delicious," I was excited. I also bought the yakiniku sauce of Mr. Ushisho and ate it on a bonfire. The meat was sloppy and very delicious. I used the sauce only to change the taste, but this is also good. The meat I ate at the camp was delicious, so I stopped by on my way home and bought Tajima beef as a souvenir. I was worried, "Isn't the campsite cold?" It was before noon on Sunday, but it was a great success with cars and motorcycles of Hyogo, Tottori, and Kyoto numbers. It is a roadside station that you definitely want to stop by when you go to the next neighborhood. It's a waste to soak it in a yakiniku sauce and eat it. I think they were raised with great care. The ingredients alone are delicious enough. The history of this place goes back to ancient times, and the place name "Atsuta", which has a deep connection with Atsuta Jingu in Aichi Prefecture, remains. The word "sacrifice" includes "cow". "Cow" is indispensable for ancient "Shinto rituals". The history is different from the recent yakiniku boom. It's real. I feel cold and have no energy. We withdrew after 12:00. But it was a lot of fun! I'll come back later. Oh, as a side note, it might be a little difficult for beginners. If you're going to snowboard, you might be disappointed if you can't do anything like Konoha. There aren't many gentle slopes, and the support from the staff may be modest compared to other ski resorts. I don't know about meals etc. Do not enter any facilities. It just keeps slipping. 2021/2/19 (Friday) It was 1000 yen for adults every Friday on Thanksgiving Day! I was lucky because I came without knowing it! ! It's said that it's for the first 1,500 people. It was a cold wave of 17th and 18th, and there was snow, and the snow quality was very good in the morning, and the boards were very stiff. I came last week as well, but I think there were twice as many people this time. Still, I don't think the wait for the lift is more than 5 minutes at most. The second pair lift stops frequently. I guess it's because it's mostly used by beginners. Also, if you are just starting out on the boarder, the slopes are a bit steep and there are not many gentle slopes, so it may be a bit disappointing. It might be a testing ground for those who are finally able to turn! Once you get over that, you can go to any ski resort! 2021/2/10 (Wednesday) First thing in the morning, I was able to ski comfortably on the slightly harder and firmer slopes. It is well maintained and was my favorite of the ski resorts this season. It had snowed the day before (the day before?) and the quality of the snow was good, and it was a beautiful sunny day. Definitely a repeat. From around 11 o'clock onwards, the burn started to loosen and it became moist, probably because the temperature was high. First thing in the morning it seemed like 80-90% of the skiers were seniors. (Maybe because it's Wednesday! It's Senior Day.) Students from around 10 o'clock? The number of snowboarders who look like this is increasing. There was also ski training (early elementary school students?), but I think there were less than 20 people in total, so it didn't bother me at all.

(Translated by Google) The cutlet curry was crispy and delicious. It was cash only. There are only 3 lifts. Once you enter the park, there is only a bumpy area after that, which is a problem lol. There aren't many courses, so you might get bored, but it seemed like a perfect slope for getting used to it at the beginning of the season and practicing in the dark. The hot springs were quite nice. It's cheap and I would like to come again.

(Translated by Google) I went skiing and snowboarding with my family and relatives for a day. It feels like an old-fashioned ski resort. Access is easy as you can take a gondola from the parking lot to the ski resort. No need to worry about getting stuck. The ski resort has three lifts on a large, undulating slope. There are two lifts at the bottom, a single and a pair, and one that goes up to the top, a pair lift. Although it is compact, it has a good sliding feel. The compacted snow on the course is beautiful, and this is the work of a veteran. It looks like you can ski anywhere on the surface, so playing in the powder looks like fun. On the other hand, you need to be careful because you can't tell the difference between compacted snow and uncompacted snow. There are also three barns where you can practice basic skiing. There were no lumps, but it seemed like it could be made quickly with about 5 people. Restaurants are crowded during lunch. It's not very big, so it's better to go at different times. As a family guest, I would like a place to unload and store my luggage at the lower gondola station. During busy periods, it would be nice to have a place where you can have lunch or take a break. It looks like it will become a ski resort that caters to a wider range of users by improving its services from a user's perspective. Currently, I feel that this is a ski resort for people who can ski.

Since I took a gondola to the slopes, I was able to access the parking lot without having to go through a snowy mountain pass, so I was able to drive without worry. It's a compact and enjoyable slope, and I was able to enjoy lots of powder on that day with a one-day ticket of 1000 yen on Thanksgiving Day, which I'm grateful for 🙏 It was also nice that there was a hot spring right next to it. You can easily go from the parking lot to the slopes by gondola. There are many intermediate courses on the slopes, so it's perfect for going with children (^^) (Original)

Mentioned on
Train station
Sights & Landmarks
During the Obon festival, Amarube Station was bustling with a large crowd. The station has a historical significance as it once had a railway track that left a lasting impression on visitors. One notable feature of Amarube Station is its connection to Mizukaze, a train that passes through the station. The presence of this train adds to the uniqueness of the station and enhances the overall experience for travelers.

(Translated by Google) Last time I visited, it was after a typhoon had passed and strong winds were blowing, so I could only look up from below, but yesterday I was blessed with good weather and took the elevator to Abe Station. While looking out at the blue Sea of Japan, you can compare the old and new bridges, which are now well maintained, but the local environment suggests that it took a lot of hard work to complete in 1909. I feel that it is very significant that even a portion of it has been preserved and made public. This location is Hashigami Station, and the view from the platform is a spectacular spot. It also has the name ``Amarube Railway Bridge Sky Station''. Use the escalator or walk up the slope to get to the ground level where there is a road. It's close to the sea, so depending on the wind direction, you can smell the scent of the ocean. I think there are many windy days on the train platform, so you need to be careful about items that can easily be blown away. If you drop it, you will have to go several meters down to retrieve it. It was also windy on the day I visited. Until a few years ago, you had to walk up a mountain path from the station to the village, but now there is an elevator at the sky station, so it's easier. Only about 10 locals use the train each day, but on weekends it is crowded with tourists and train fans because of the beautiful scenery. Originally, we would like you to come by train, but there are only 10 local trains a day. The limited express Hamakaze will pass through. In the past, there was a little more main line... There are also local buses, but they are less convenient than trains. If you are coming by car, please use the parking lot at the roadside station. Restrooms are located at the station, but you will need to use the roadside station for souvenirs and meals. For trains bound for Hamasaka, take pictures from the observation deck near the station, and for trains bound for Toyooka, take pictures from the end of the platform on the Hamasaka side. If the weather is nice, the scenery is good so it's worth going. Nowadays, the iron bridge has been replaced with a concrete bridge, but the remains of the old iron bridge can still be seen at the base of the station. Only local trains stop at the station, but since the scenery is beautiful, even limited express trains slow down a little when passing through this station. A station where there are more tourists than passengers getting on and off the station. The old iron bridge was said to be the tallest in the East, and the rough waves and blizzards of the Sea of Japan in winter sometimes made it scary to ride the train. Nowadays, wind speeds are strictly controlled, but on December 28, 1986, just before the end of the year, a detour train fell and hit a seafood processing company and a private house below, killing five people. The accident, which injured six people, also had an impact on JR's wind speed management in the future. A cenotaph is still erected below the station.
