What a gem in flic en flac! A great restaurant with fantastic curries. I was sceptical at first but many people in the area recommended it. It did not disappoint. Enteranc is through the bottom door, you go up a staircase and there you are greeted with the restaurant floor. It felt like a tree house. The staff were very attentative. Price excellent. All around a great experience!

Zub Express is an interesting mix of Indian and Chinese food; we ate a wonderful choice of the Indian selection. The outdoor terrace with a view into the beach and forest is well worth climbing 2 flights of stairs! Service was very attentive, and we saw the staff clean tables very thoroughly in between guests. The best recommendation: tourists were the minority – most of the clientele were Mauritian. Highly recommended! Takeaways also available.

During our month-long stay in Mauritius, my friend and I discovered a true gem in Flic en Flac: Zub Express. This Mauritian Indian restaurant quickly became our go-to spot for dinner, and it never failed to impress us with its delightful flavors, warm ambiance, and outstanding service. One dish that stood out as our absolute favorite was the Prawn Coco and Taranka Rice. This delectable creation featured succulent prawns cooked in a creamy coconut-based sauce that was simply divine. Highly recommend!

Food was average. Some were okay (Indian food was okay) but some were bad (grill, Chinese). The steak was horrible. Was so difficult to cut it as it was hard. Couldn't even chew it as it felt like I was chewing rubber. It was tasteless. Grilled fish had a weird watery taste. Lassi wasn't good at all. Service wise: average as well. The waiters were nice and friendly but service was slow. The atmosphere was okay. They don't make reservations. We had to wait for about 40 mins to get a table but that was not an issue. The place was clean but crowded, especially on the ground floor. The cutlery was clean as well. Overall, everything was average but was disappointed with the food.

One of the best curry places in Mauritius, if not the best! Great selection of Indian curries and Asian dishes. Restaurant is neat and cozy, staff are professional and attentive, food is amazing and inexpensive.

Good food, reasonably priced, generous portions. Selection of drinks could be improved. We appreciated the fact that our meals were served quickly on a busy Friday night even if we arrived late. For a more enjoyable atmosphere probably better to get one of the outdoor tables in the seating area above.

Conveniently located on the beach front of flic en flat beach. Parking opposite under the trees. If u order take out u stand outside and order at window. While u wait for order u can take a walk to the beach or sit at the table and benches outside. Order took about 10mins. Spent Rs540 for a garlic naan, aloo paratha and chicken kadai.... It was lovely. I should've gone with spicier option as the kadai had flavour but no heat. Was offered chilli and mango atchar. Will be back.

Delicious Indian Food, wonderful service and ambiance. Highly recommend their fish and eggplant curry, lamb curry and butter chicken. Their version of piment craze (green chili paste) is to die for, literally if you can’t take heat.

A great Indian restaurant with extremely friendly and attentive staff and very good food. They serve Indian, Chinese and European dishes and only non-alcoholic drinks. The naan bread is amazing and tastes fantastic with every dish! The location is very cozy and well ventilated despite the balcony atmosphere. You hear little to nothing from the traffic on the main road. All in all, a great place to celebrate food. It is also very inexpensive. The restaurant lives up to its Trip Advisor Choice Award!

First important information is: you don't get alcoholic drinks here, because owners of this restaurant are people of islamic religion. When this isn't problem for you, you get for what you came - good meals for good prices...

From the outside looking in, the busy nature of the restaurant, filled with customers, appears promising. We were part of a large group (10+) so had to wait a little while before getting a table. Getting our orders in was fine, with attentive service. We got a range of starters including samosas, crispy chicken and crouistillant. Apart from the samosas, they tasted fine, well cooked accompanied by some fine-tasting condiments. As each order arrived it was all looking fine, until mine. As I received an incorrect meal. The look on the assistant’s face told the story and quickly retracted the incorrect order. The mains did take some time to arrive (no problem, really), but the correct order seemed to arrive incredibly quickly, which concerned me at the time. I had a whole grilled fish with a side of chips, salad and garlic sauce. I do like a grilled fish, however I do believe it was probably grilled a bit to well and charred too much; drying it out. The garlic sauce did not do much to alleviate the lack of juiciness in the fish. I’m not sure whether the trying to amend the incorrect delivery of the meal played a part in the quality of the meal as it was given fairly quickly after the mistake had been realised. Overall, it is a decent family restaurant without it being spectacular and hopefully the mishap with giving the wrong meal is a rare occasion for the business as it does seem to be well visited hungry eaters.

Very beautiful place, romantic ambiance, good food, and good service. It was my first time to the place and I was not disappointed. The service was great and welcoming, the food is also delicious and affordable which I loved. This place is great for a romantic night out or date night because if you choose to sit outside, you will have a very romantic dinner surrounded by water nicely lit under the bright moon and live music. It's also a great place to hold celebrations like birthdays, graduation parties etc.

I organized a surprise birthday party for my mum there. I must say, the organization was perfect! The Team nailed it! We had a beautiful table, a kiosk, a beautiful view from there. The food was excellent! After which we had a great vibe- dancing time! Everyone enjoyed their night, specially my mum! Wonderful place! Great Team!

Domaine Anna is a great restaurant for lunch and dinner and for marriage. They have a lot of parkings and aquariums with plenty of fish and waterfall and a lovely setting table. You can walk around freely. I went there for the hotpot and it was delicious and fresh. There is a huge variety of food and they are all fresh such as fish, noodle prawn vegetables and so so. The seafood is very fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is very nice and cosy. Highly recommend it

A very very good place. The place is beautiful 😍 The atmosphere and ambience. A very intimate, romantic or family friendly atmosphere created by the lake, dimmed lights, and private tables on the lake. The restaurant is massive. A lot of effort has been put into this place. Lobster was good. Sauces and dips were great. Starters were good. Lamb steak was a bit dry and the food presentation could be improved to take this restaurant up to the next level. I would recommend this place. A very very good value for money and a superb restaurant.

Amazing anniversary party we had at Domaine Anna. Food, service, music, and location were excellent.

We visited the place in the evening. You find Domaine Anna in lush tropical surroundings. That opens up in different scenic pockets. When you walk through you have aquariums, waterfall and lovely setting of tables and dining islands that gives you privacy. All that is accommodated by a delicious food and live music. However, when the place gets busy the service may be sketchy. Overall, we loved the experience and would recommend to anyone who is visiting an island.

Domaine Anna is situated in the west of our island. It can accommodate more than 100 guest at once. Very huge place for birthday celebration and wedding events. I am so happy that they reserved the best seating near the lake. It was a get together with my girls. We really enjoy our 3 dinner course. So flavourful mood and dishes. I highly recommend to go for dinner with dashing clothes and makeup The price is quite affordable for a good set up and tasty food.we had Mauritian meal : fried noodle and Fried rice accompanied with some sautéed lamb. Cocktails were really good! The dessert was marvelous.we couldn't resist the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. We had taken some picnics along the lake, the garden and park. The service was good. Overall food was good except for the steak which was hard to cut and keep chewing it for some minutes. The starters, other main food and the dessert was very good. I recommend the 'peche melba' it was excellent. I don't know for the other table but where we sat it was very hot and the ventilator was out of service.

Worst experience ever.. -Been there on the 10th of january. -No lounge or background music whatsoever. -Staff doesnt have any customer service experience. -stray cats walking everywhere. -food disgusting,frozen food aerved and main was just disgusting. -No local beer. Overall i would not recommend this place to anyone.I asked for a refund.

We expected better food quality and taste for the price. Cold fries while we expected mash potato to go along with the roast meat and been charged 315rs for a bland fried rice with no veggies which was supposed to be a side to a dish. You can expect better food else where for less. Nevertheless some dishes were good and atmosphere 5/5

Enjoyed our table on the deck. Really peaceful to eat surrounded by the lake. Really cozy if you are having a meal as a couple or even in a group. The food itself was really good. Only minus is it took a few tries to get the attention of the waiting staff. Other than that it was a great experience and it is highly recommended

Domaine Anna falls short of expectations, with its A4 flying paper menu seeming more gimmicky than practical. The cocktails disappoint with an excessive amount of alcohol, leaving little room to savor the flavors. Moreover, the tables were disappointingly dirty, detracting from the overall dining experience. If cleanliness and balanced drinks are priorities, it might be best to look elsewhere.

The place was nice. Comfortable setting. The service was good and friendly. The food was good and the portion relatively okay. I said okay comparing to other places we have been on the island. Prices are fair. You can have a three course meal without ruining yourself. The only negative point was other guests smoking. Actually we were sitting outside, so I guess the policy allows for those sitting outside to smoke. I think it's general rule here on the island. So I'd advise to sit inside to avoid inconsiderate guests who don't understand that you don't wanna be smoking with them and you sitting outside means you just wanna enjoy the fresh air and not their smoke. Other than that as I said, good place by itself. Edited. I came back here again months later, the service was perfect. The food perfect, the starters, the main course, the desert and the drinks...just perfect. Their beef roulade as starters just great, their prime beef steak perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy though I ordered it well done. It wasn't dry, it was really great. I enjoyed it and had to update my review. I definitely recommend the place.

Well situated restaurant with nice set-up. The cocktails are quite good. The staff is friendly but the service was very slow. The restaurant was at half capacity and we waited 1 hour for the food. The food was quite nice, had the grilled fish and it was very tasty.

Very nice place, very professional aproach. Latest hours can be full. It is better to make reservation after 9-10pm. Food was very good, local and tasty. The creme brulee I had was a little bit disapointment. Was good, but without stroger flawours of vanilla. It wasn’t spread in volume of the cake but the vanilla fell to the bottom. And the caramelised suggar on the top was a little bit burnt - was bitter. But the fish and shrimps were outstanding. It may by only a onetime mistake.

Best food in Flic en Flac! Superb fish, seafood, and beef, and the dishes are cooked to perfection. Try their speciality, the Fisherman's platter for two. It is just heavenly with a good variety of the day's fish & seafood. Nice, helpful staff, too! We stayed in this area for 14 days, and went four times to this restaurant. The food was excellent each time.

The place was a little disappointing. The service was very slow. We had to actively look for the attention of the staff to order something, and the food took long to arrive. We all ordered a pasta which was amazing. It tasted fresh and flavourful. Just a shame the service was slow, as this place has potential.

Very good restaurant! We were here on dinner, we found this restaurant od google maps and check reviews - this restaurant is worth 5 stars. Service was very kind and professional. I choosed grilled lamb medium for 895RS - for me it was smaller portion, but taste was awesome. My GF choosed penne 3 cheese - this taste very good for price 300RS For drink we have mochito and virgin piña olada - both drinks taste awesome. Overall, I definitely reccommend this restaurant, you must visit it when you are in Flic! It it's worth it! :) We come back for sure :)

Went here because of the positive reviews. It is recommended to reserve! I've eaten a lot of steaks in my life but what I was served here is the best steak 🥩 I've ever eaten! the sauce was perfectly balanced and homemade to the point cooked to my liking. Even as an industry professional, I can absolutely recommend this restaurant! Service is also very good and the prices are absolutely justified 👍 gladly again

This restaurant is a really wonderful place being situated in front of the beach and also providing a cozy interior. The food is delicious and the service is suitable. Staff are always kind and smiling. The steak was by far the best steak i've tasted in Mauritius. For the price, the quantity and tasteful sauce is very much worth it. Desserts are also absolutely delicious making you want more. Definitely recommend!

The food (apart from the burger) and drinks were really delicious, the staff is nice and competent as well! However you cannot enjoy those aspects due to the long wait. We had to wait about 1h30 for our food, other customers had to wait even longer. I recommend that you order the next course immediately after the last one has arrived. If you have enough time and patience, I think that you would definitely have great time at Rib & Reef, but if you are in need something quick I would go somewhere else.

Absolutely delicious steak and that peppercorn sauce was no joke! The chips it came with were delightful. For dessert we ordered a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and our taste buds exploded! The chocolate is mmmm yummy and the ice cream is very nice and natural. Kisses to the chef xx 💋 Only complaint is the wait for the main dish but man is it worth it.

Well, that was simply very good. Staff, location, and food were quite outstanding. If you should be staying at the Hilton, by all means avoid their restaurants and go here. Ten times better at half the price, if even that. Commendable.

Nice place for dinner. The food was just great. We had the chicken skewers and garden salad as starters and both were really tasty. The lamb chops with mash and veggies was amazing. Wish the serving was bigger 😅. For dessert, we took the crème brulée which was just delicious. The service was good and prices are fair. I would definitely recommend

Visited in August as a couple, as part of a day tour. We had no idea this restaurant existed prior to being taken there for lunch, ad part of a tour around the South of the island, but what amazing views it has! The food was a tasty pre-arranged three course with still water and bread also provided. Service was quick and efficient, we didn't need to interact with the staff much so can't comment o the service. Would highly recommend a stop for a bite if in the area, if just to take pictures from the viewing platform!

Staff are SUPER friendly and nice. Not an uptight place at all. Views are unreal. The MOST scenic view top restaurant I have ever seen in real life and I have been to rooftops across the world! A must visit in Mauritius even if you drive 2 hours to get here!

The restaurant location is great and it is worth visiting for the sake of views and taking pictures! I suggest it for some appetisers and few drinks. The food is not tasty, hence I don't recommend spending money there on main courses. We tried food, drinks etc, spent lots of money but left hungry. We did take lots of beautiful pictures and it was also raining, that made it even better. The service is overwhelmed by high numbers of customers, hence expect order delays! Overall, worth visiting for the views and small bites/drinks, but not the main food.

Lovely place, such a nice atmosphere and the ‘chef’s special’ dessert - was like a cheery on top - LOVED IT!❤️ Everybody is really friendly. I advise booking a table in advance if you are coming on a weekend/public holiday, this way you will be guaranteed with a perfect table spot and views from it.

What a wonderful view over the valley down to the sea. We had a standard meal as part of a day trip, was also very good taste and quality..A clear recommendation.

Still can’t believe this view is real! We’ve had Morning Coffee Experience in here. French toast with cinnamon sugar was great, coffee either 👌🏼 It’s a must visit here for a coffee, breakfast or lunch during your trip in Mauritius 😉

Lovely restaurant in the midst of nature with spectacular views of the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean . Quaint environment, very cozy and staff attentive to customers' needs. Creole and international menu. Recommended stop even if only for a coffee or a drink and enjoy a unique experience.

Discovered this place purely by accident and managed to wander in on a day when they had no bookings and so we had the restaurant pretty much to ourselves. The food was as tasty as the views were glorious from the balcony where we sat. Chicken tikka was especially nice and the chips on the side were all divine. We dined whilst drinking in the view, spotting birds and monkeys in the trees and chatting with the owner. We returned a week or so later as a walk in and found it to be very busy and could only gain access to the bar and snack area (snacks were still awesome) I would recommend if you plan to visit you book a table and try to book for bang on noon to avoid the tourist busses turning up at 1pm. The views are awesome, especially on a blue sky day, it's a bit out the way but so worth the drive! FYI the road from tamarin up to here is currently closed and you have to divert past le Morne and climb the back way. No idea when the road will be reopened but Google maps hasn't updated the road closure state yet. Please allow for this in your travel times.

The restaurant has got a nice view and we used parking to go to Piton du Canot for better view. We were hungry and ended up eating there. The fish was nicely cooked and quality was great. The staff was not friendly or smiley at all and they seemed to be annoyed by the job, which made sense as there is a lot of people having arranged lunch with the tours. To us it seems to be overpriced as we ate half price at fine dining restaurant.

Views are spectacular, atmosphere is relaxed, staff are attentive and friendly. The food was traditional Creole, we had the set menu. Palm heart slad with Prawns, Curry choices and Sorbet, all dishes were good. Rhumtails were delicious.

Fantastic view and great restaurant design. Perfect for sundowers. The menu is via QR Code, so my elderly parents struggled, and I had to read it to them from my phone which kinda killed the vibe. The menu is quite fancy, no pub grub. Definitely worth a visit.

The focus on this restaurant is obviously the panoramic view and that is subsequently where your money will go towards. Food was good but there are much better and cheaper places all over the island. Be adviced that the service is not included. The service itself was okay, at times uncoordinated (we got asked the same questions twice multiple times). No smiles, not thankful for the tips. Good place for the views, bank for your buck mediocre.

Highly disappointing for the prices you pay. Arrived and the waiter said they were full so we were happy to sit at bar tables until we could get a table. There were 5 tables available in that section. I ordered the chicken and prawn curry. Meal arrived luke warm, flavours non existent, dry with no sauce, rice was dry and tasteless. It also looked that way. For the price 1/10. My wife had the grilled aubergine and cheese stack, completely the opposite, hot and very tasty. My food obviously stayed at the serving station for hers to get done. I ordered a draft beer, it was warm. Service from waiters was poor. We should not have to hand signal waiters for some service. I'm not interested in that it's a busy season. It's the same every year and it's not for a lack of waiters.

It's a wonderful restaurant with a good view. They serve Rum tasting varieties which is a great option.

After reading some reviews about the Resto, I was really excited to drop by and try the food. However, i was quite disappointed. Despite proposing the food with an appealing visual, unfortunately the Taste was not there. The seasoning and sauces really need to be uplifted to bring more flavours to the food. This issue sorted out, i'll drop by someday again...

Food was very good I did enjoy what I ordered. Loved the ice tea that is home made -it was not too sweet and you could actually taste the tea. Could get a bit noisy due to the proximity to the street but in general not bad. The staff were friendly and forthcoming.

Very welcoming host, very good and tasty food. The next time we come to Mauritius for sure, we'll stop by to eat. By the way, their homemade tea and room is a masterpiece

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat in Flic en Flac and saw Pakbo had rather good reviews. The aesthetic of the restaurant stuck out to me. I loved the design and ornaments displayed in the outside dining around. The staff were attentive and keen to speak in English. The seafood tagliatelle and prawn coconut curry was delicious with fresh seafood.

Went there for dinner with family .. it was a great experience there, the staff was very friendly and well organised. The service was very nice. The starter was super nice, we took crispy calamari and chicken skewer. Then as main course we took lamb shank,grilled giant camaron poulet panne, magic bowl and chicken spaguetti. Overall its a 5 start restaurant, very cozy and we felt very comfortable...

Sorry, this place does not deserve the current Google score (4,4). All food was tasteless and definitely overpriced. Seems like only tourists tempted by online score go there. On the good side, waiters are very friendly and food looks good before you taste it :)

It’s a restaurant close to a busy street, so don’t expect a romantic dinner. But you can expect very good food (chicken-prawns curry, home made ice tea) at acceptable price.

PAKBO is a unique place to spend time with family and friends. Went there for a dinner. The food was sumptuous , all the dishes were delicately made and were accompanied by delightful sauces. The cocktail was refreshing and delicious. The restaurant owner was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Had a great time. 👍

A cozy little restaurant on the side of the road in the middle of the lively area of ​​Flic en Flac. You should make a reservation in advance at the weekend as the restaurant quickly fills up. During the week you'll probably have more luck if you want to eat out spontaneously. The food was wonderful and, above all, fresh. The drinks were unusual and delicious. I would say it’s a cafe not restaurant, good place to come after beach, in sorts no fancy clothes. Starters are good and big you can take 2-3 and be full already.

This is probably a better lunch place in my opinion. We went for dinner. The starters were amazing, the soups were great, the dessert good, the main however could be improved. The mains were a little bland and overcooked. The presentation was good but the steak and scampi were both lacking in flavour. Also would recommend switching the contrasting bright yellow lemon sauce with a simple garlic butter (mb a dash of saffron if wanting to keep the theme?) and lemon wedge. The vibe was fun and seats comfy, the staff were helpful and I liked that they waited till finishing entre to do mains (nice for group talk) but service slow considering the mains were just ok. Oh yeah, and the cocktail / mocktails taste and look great too.

Overall, it's a lovely spot, but our patience was tested with a nearly one-hour wait for our food. The seafood pasta, crispy calamari, and chicken skewers were delightful. However, the 'bol renversé' had an overwhelming turmeric flavour, and the chicken spaghetti was a bit too heavy on the flour.
