It’s a good place to rest after walking / hiking across the coast, it has a nice vibe to it. I enjoyed the interior, provided nice escape from the sun in the summer. I would recommend to get a drinks only as they are reasonably priced, but food is not great. I’ve had fish & chips and it was one of the worst I’ve had. My partner’s vege burger was bang average as well.

We came all the way from London to check out the magnificent Seven Sisters Cliffs on a Sunday afternoon & were “welcomed” with a “Hey! You won’t get any food today”. The waiter(?) further said that he has many booking and 16 more people to come. I personally understand, that the time past covid is tricky for everyone, but being polite isn’t. He could have literally said something down the line like “we are fully booked for this evening, but I can ask the kitchen staff if they have more capacity right now and get right back to you”. The outcome (no food) would have been the same, but our experience would have been so much better. Location & the view (see picture) is amazing, can’t tell you about the food as we didn’t get any & the personal made us feel not welcome and a burden.

Such a great place to eat. We did a hike from Seaford to Eastbourne and found this pub when we got super hungry. We ordered food and drinks and everything for really good. The location of this pub is great. You could go down for a small walk overlooking the sea. We saw many small aircraft’s practising around this area. It was a nice view.

Beautiful views, very cozy and comfortable inside, truly special place! And, when all of this accompanied with great looking and tasting food, five stars won’t be enough to justify! Impressive!

Came here on Friday for my Birthday lunch seems to be traditional coming here 5th birthday lunch here in my 30s. Lovely location and can never beat the surrounding views. Food amazing as always and well presented. Always a warm and friendly environment as a family we have found ourselves here more often over last year. Also a fantastic place just to grab a drink and enjoy the sunset 🌇

Had a wonderful late lunch/early dinner. The weather was horrid and the view was nonexistent but as soon as we walked in they had a fire going and the staff were welcoming and we had the loveliest meal. Definitely will come back next time, hopefully with the view as a cherry on top.

Such a great restaurant/pub , the views across the downs and Beachy head are breath taking, the staff are very friendly and good food and drinks menu. Beware it is often very windy up there! I highly recommend 👌🏼🍾

The place is super cozy and a great way to escape the wind coming from the cliffs. The staff was attentive and the food delicious (especially the pudding). I'd highly recommend it.

We had Sunday roast absolutely loved the pork belly 😋 worth to visit.

Holidaying on the south coast it was a treat to find the 'The Beachy Head!' Glorious views across the downs and 7 sisters. It's huge but manages to be cozy. We liked the place, the beer and food enough, to come back the next day! Food was on the whole great 👍 and the bonoffee pie is a treat! Pizza, Burger and chips and a beer and Cider and pudding to share about 45. The staff are helpful and friendly, down to earth with good local knowledge. A chain pub this big can do better beer prices. £6 is taking the ....

I always come to this place no doubt (this is my fourth time is one of the best. Is in such a good location where you can see the views out of the window. Is also such a lovely cosy homely place and the food is absolutely delicious!! Service is always good but particularly Jan was such a lovely woman and she provided us with such a good service.

The Beachy, head restaurant and hotel was a prime location within the south coast a good looking establishment with good parking, and decent reviews as seemed. However, when we arrived, we had to wait 5 minutes till we were serve it seemed like they were understaffed hence the wait. with a glance over the menu options, there was a decent selection of pub Classics and other unique dishes. The chicken buttermilk burger and arrangements of sides and small plates were ordered. A very well-made and delicate plates were very good crispiness for the chicken. There was great flavour and I highly enjoyed the Chipotle Chili jam with the burger. One thing I would say was the glasses were very dirty and had dishwasher and limescale stains. It definitely seemed like someone did not polish the glasses well enough.

We were up for a coffee and cake both were great 👍👍👍👍👍. The views are amazing. Really nice staff and the food has always been good.

Lovely welcoming staff 🙂 But clearly the place is under staffed as the wait time on a Monday around 2pm was 40 minutes for food, this is after a 15 minute wait for the order to be taken. Drinks also took around 10-15 minutes to arrive (not great when your second drink comes after you've already eaten your dinner) The food is standard, I would avoid the grilled chicken as it was like cardboard! Just so so dry I had this in my curry and my partner had it in a burger. It's a lovely pub and great that dogs are welcome!

What a stop! Wow. The service was amazing, Due to a rush the kitchen had shut for an hour. We asked to wait and a table was given while we waited. Had a drink and relaxed and the the food cam out! Wow what a beautiful meal with a view that was stunning. The staff where great and so polite. The manager was a great guy and actually seemed to treat the staff well, calm atmosphere, food amazing, we enjoyed the meal and will be back again to eat and relax. Amazing views over the road as well! Thank you all for a beautiful time.

Called into The Beachy Head last Monday for some lunch. Straight off Dan made us feel so welcome, offering us a nice table with a lovely view. He waa attentive and kind, and nothing was too much trouble. We had a relaxing drink while we chose from the menu.The menu choice was excellent, our food arrived in good time and it was delicious. Our daughter is vegetarian, and loved the burger. The atmosphere really was so welcoming, and while all the staff were very pleasant, attentive and courteous, I must mention Dan who was excellent throughout. We'll definitely visit again when we're down on the East Sussex coast.

First time visit to this pier. It looks similar to the one in Brighton. It was quite quiet and feel empty. Couple of shops are for rent. The view from the pier back to the coast line is spectacular. We had fish and chip from the the shop at the entrance to the pier. The taste was ok. But not worth with the money you paid, because the size of the fish was quite small.

Eastbourne Pier or Sheikh pier is in the beautiful place of Eastbourne. This place has a lot of cafes, restaurant, eateries as well as amusement games centre. This pier is quite beautiful like the Brighton one. The shops are not that much cause less number of visitors visit this place. I really liked the quiet and peaceful pier. Just few people and seagulls and you have plenty of time to sit and relax.

Brilliant place to take the children. Both my boys loved the crazy golf and arcades. We spent the whole weekend with my boys playing on the beach, seeing sights and enjoying the last of the good weather. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Lots of really nice hotels and places to stay and loads to do. Really lovely seaside town.

Really nice the fish and chips by the pier are lovely and there is an arcade too. There are a few good places to eat. Sometimes parking can be tricky to find by the pier when the weather is really warm

The Grand Old Lady, always a nice time had here, and some of the shops are a big improvement as to what they used to be. No speedboat rides from the end any more which is a shame, but you can get a decent high tea or lunch from the eateries on here. A recent re-paint has brightened her up to her former glory.

Eastbourne is the perfect seaside escape.. Also,Eastbourne is easy on the eye with wide open sea views which catch both sunrises and sunsets..The UK's best views and hikes are within striking distance too.

Lovely pier, plenty of places to grab food, little arcade. They had live music the day we visited which was lovely. It worth the walk around and a sit down to admire the veiw. In places it is a little run down but looks like they are working on the pier as you could go right to the back, but worth a visit.

Overnight stay at the View hotel and Birling gap at sunset. No sunset but great pics of the pier in the rain next morning. The beach front and pier looks good in the rain.

Brilliant that the Pier is still here in Eastbourne. Make sure you visit the Shop at the far end, many treasures, seek & you will find that Special item. Lovely friendly Lady who will gladly chat with you. Find out about her many talents. And don't forget to take photo's & selfies, it makes for amazing pics. Enjoy...

It's a nice pier but much smaller than the Brighton one. There is a couple of places to get a drink and an ice cream here, a gift shop, some arcades and glow in the dark golf. Nice place for a stroll.

18/3/23 Not quite the season to be walking on the pier as some of the shops/restaurants/food stalls were yet to be open. There were still a few that were open including gift shops, the excellent ‘The Chippy’ Fish & Chip shop, a new indoor mini golf stall and a couple of amusement arcades. The pier has plenty of seating but be careful as some look like they are in dire need of repair. Some other parts of the pier could do with a lick of paint and some TLC. Still, I enjoyed the pier very much and had cod and chips from The Chippy after a walk out to the end and back. Always enjoy a visit to a pier, and I would recommend this one especially as they have freshly made doughnuts at the entrance.

The most beautiful places, enjoyable moment.. The atmosphere here in Eastbourne it's was amazing friendly people , air is fresh , the road is clean and no loud sound. It's safe to walk at night without following you , no garbage on the street no drunk people it was the most amazing one night in here thank you so much

It is too good to miss - you need to plan it accordingly and you can spend almost entire day there. The riding up to the light house (which is closed) is great - from where you can view the entire Seven Sisters - a mesmeric View altogether. And then when u go down - you can just lie down and soak the beauty over there. It is one of the best place to chill out in summers - it is well connected from Brighton and Eastbourne station and the coastal bus has its own charm. It is never a miss for anyone in UK

There is no proper public transport to this beautiful place . But there is a good road to reach. Beautiful scenic cliff. There is a restaurant and rest area which is open till 5 pm. Can go for picnic with family or spend time with your loved ones. The beach is also accessible from the top by stairs. Be careful with your toddler on the cliff. Have fun

Beautiful place. I suggest everyone to go there and admire the breathtaking panorama from the lighthouse and also to have a walk on the beach. There is a nice caffe if you want to eat or drink a coffee. There is parking facilities

Arrived at the cuckmere beach parking at 11:30 walked to Eastbourne and back and wow. An amazing walk with brilliant views, not too many people, especially on our way back. No one was walking after 4pm and the sun was shining, an incredible place.

we parked and paid 3£ for 2 hours. it is 5£ for the day. we arrived at 10am and found a spot in the park. First we walked uphill to the top cliff all the way to the lighthouse. it is a slow easy ascent. Great views 360. After walking back downhill to the cafe for a toilet break, we proceeded down a metal staircase to the shingle beach for breathtaking views of the seven sisters. a quick walk back up to the cafe for coffee before leaving. as we were leaving the crowds were piling in, many choosing to park on the road outside of the car park. this was a fantastic trip, well worth the hike to see that view.

A beautiful spot and a beautiful beach. I can see why so many people have been visiting for so many years. The thing to come for is the beach on a nice day, the rest of the buildings and stuff aren't really anything to write home about, but the views are worth the trip.

This Birling Gape was easy to get to and a lovely view. Very large cliffs and lots of areas to walk. There were sheep on the fields nearby. There were also clear signs with details on high and low tide keeping us safe. The toilets were fine and it has a shop/cafe inside.

It was a beautiful experience and has to be seen once atleast... we didn't cover all the cliffs just one as was with small kids... The view is simply breathtaking. Toilets are available down before you can climb the cliff.... The beach is a pebble beach. Be cautious of the water as there can be hidden rocks which are not visible during a high tide.

Amazing place to see… We unfortunately got caught in a massive downpour but still enjoyed seeing the true beauty of this place. If possible on your visit Head down the stairs onto the pebble beach and look at the cliffs from that angle. Truly magnificent.

Very nice hike, easy as well - with a few exceptions where it is a bit steeper. My boyfriend and I did it for about 6h - we stopped for photos, lunch and ice cream . The hike is very beautiful especially on a sunny day! Definitely would recommend!

Fantastic views and walks. I have visited on very different days, from extreme wind and cold to warm and pleasant, yet I had a great experience each time. Still, I cannot believe how many people go close to the cliff edge despite the warnings about danger.

This is a lovely view point with direct access to the beach. There is a car park here, albeit small, and I can imagine during peak times there would be difficulty parking as this is also a very popular tourist attraction. The roads around here are beautiful and provide lovely views. There is also the opportunity for a walk along the tops of the cliffs.

Really nice place to spend time with family. It’s got the beach and you can climb up the mountain too. There’s a nice little cafe and small souvenir store. I would give one extra star to the Elderly Gentleman from the National Trust who helped me sorting out my travel by being really patient and suggesting me which transport to take. If your like me without a car you can hire a cab but the telephone reception is really bad so you need to come to the bus stop to make any calls. I would say prebook and be on time or you can check the bus schedule. And there’s parking too.

Beautiful views of the seven sisters. A national trust shop and cafe. Cliffs near by are crumbling and being monitored.. the sea here is wonderfully clear water.. free car park to national trust members. Cliff top walks for miles in both directions

It was a cool experience. Views are cool and a hike would likely be great here for those interested. Would have been fun would go back if I could guarantee sunshine (is that a thing in the UK?). I'd recommend n hike up the cliffs rather than a walk on the beach as the rocks make a beach trek really rough. Bring your own lunch or snacks. The cafe leaves a lot to be desired. However, The staff was kind and welcoming. Bus lines and pick ups were a bit delayed and the signage for where to go on your way back to Brighton is unclear at best.

Lovely spot to get the overall view of Seven Sisters white cliffs. The possible walks are in good distance, not too long or tough. People at the visitor centre are very nice and helpful. There's a cafe there to relax for when the weather outside is not very good.

Such a beautiful place to visit, definitely great to walk and appreciate the nature and the view. It is a place you can go and feel how small we are as humans. I strongly recommend to go - but definitely take some water and maybe some food with you and toilet paper. When you are at the coffee part (tourist stop) the food is not so good and the toilet is not always prepared.

Such a fantastic and wonderful place to have a day out. So fortunate to be able come here not too far from here. Alot of history, great walking trails and fantastic cafe. Kids love the rock pooling. Sounding views are amazing. Came on a Sunday great weather very busy but not off putting. Even had a Spitfire fly over even did a few laps. Just Brilliant. (All creatures caught were returned safely to rock pools 🦀 🐟 🐠 🎣)

Great view of the Seven Sisters, you can walk up the hill and get a view looking down or you can take the stairs and go down onto the beach itself. I didn't use the cafe or facilities, but the seven sisters themselves were a really great view.

Great facilities, superb views and if you time it right you can safely get down to the beach. Can be very busy in the warmer seasons, but if you walk only a short distance away it gets a lot quieter as most people don’t do the full hike. It suffers coastal erosion so it won’t be here forever.

The Seven Sisters offers breathtaking views and serene landscapes, perfect for nature lovers and photographers. Well-maintained trails make exploring enjoyable. A must-visit destination!

I live locally and love coming here. It's glorious in any weather. If you're a member of the National Trust, it's free to park (remember to scan your card though). There's a good cafe and a NT shop. Loos are available as well. The car park can get pretty busy, especially in summer on weekends, so bare that in mind. There are some steps to take you down to the beach and they display high tide and low tide times each day, so please pay attention to these if you intend to walk along the beach. It's a great spot to park and go for longer walks over the top of the cliffs as well. I've attached some pics of a few of my visits.

Such a busy lovely place deserves better visitor facilities from the National Trust. We visited on Easter Sunday 2024. The cafe layout seemed to have changed since our last visit and there were long queues for everything. For the cafe, for the ice cream and longest of all for the toilets. The cafe is now part self service with people picking up pastries by hand and sometimes returning them whilst queuing. No trays available but a basic selection of pasties etc. Enjoyable and the staff were friendly and doing their best in a very busy environment. They really do need to sort out the toilets though, my partner had to queue for about 20 minutes. Need some bins outside too for all the ice cream and lollipop packaging sold by the permanent van outside the cafe. The gift shop is large and looks to be spared no attention but might be better using some of the space to extend the seating available for the cafe. The actual place itself is a wonderful starting point to explore the Seven Sisters from or to walk up to Beachy Head from, or when conditions allow to step down to the beach to take a swim.

Fabulous views of the cliffs, plenty of parking and a lovely National Trust cafe, visitor centre and shop. You can get down to the beach and also walk along the cliff up to the lighthouse. Definitely worth a visit.

Would recommend coming here in good weather or sunny days. The scenery was so beautiful but the weather was not so ideal. Sudden strong wind and heavy rain made everyone so wet. You can have coffee or some snack, brunch at the cafe, wifi provided. Only wifi in the shop and cafe, there’s no signal outside.

Amazing weather with beauty of nature. It’s really unbelievable. It’s easy to get parking but we need to pay. It’s good place for family especially in summer time. Whoever is going please don’t throw the plastic bags.

Great place for an accessible 3 mile walk ( its three miles if you walk the combined South and North Harbour walkways). The paths are flat with no obstacles. The Waterfront offers cafes, restaurant, ice cream parlour and bar. You can also take a 45 minute Harbour boat which takes you on a guided tour of three of the harbours. You can also book boat trips to Beachy Head Lighthouse or take a charter boat to enjoy a day's fishing. There is a small retail park close by with a large, free car park.

The marina is amazing. Very friendly staff and great facilities. Costs are reasonable so get them to give you a quote.

Sovereign Harbour is one of my favourite places to go, your able to walk around the majority of it as a visitor, as well as eat and drink there too, It’s always so clean. The only thing I would suggest is that when your walking you stick to the left, as the people riding their bikes/scooters come pretty close to running you over.

A very nice place to visit, relax, and go for a walk. Is clean and feels very secure. There's a variety of restaurants and cafés to sit down and enjoy although most of them not to a very high standard but for a casual moment will do it.

I think it's very telling that all of the good reviews are from visitors and all reviews from actual berth holders are 1 or 2 stars. I am in the latter of this. It is a rediculously expensive marina and you should expect a 10% increase every year. The 'included' dry storage is a joke as they will charge you another £700 to lift the boat. For some lucky enough where money really is no object they I'm sure it's great but for those who are simply passionate about sailing and have to spend all their time maintaining their own boat to make it affordable it really is not OK. I've just put my boat on the market because I simply can't afford the extortionate fees.

A very interesting place to walk around. A working harbour allowing the boats to enter and exit. Watched seals in the water. Plenty of eating houses and a great ice cream parlour. Looking forward to returning.

Visiting Daughters boyfriend & seeing his family , too . We all had a great day . We went to Harvesters for dinner. All 4 of our meals were great . Very busy but Staff managed to fit us in . All staff very helpful & polite . Would definitely recommend a visit .

This is a lovely place to visit, if you love boats even more reason to visit. Plenty of places around to enjoy a coffee or for dining.

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely architecture, great spots for coffee, nice walks. Worth walking all the way around but allow an hour or two for it. There are little seals on the beach that can sometimes be spotted when the tide is out. Worth taking the boat tour that takes off in front of Pablos restaurant in warmer weather. The guides are brilliant and funny, interesting info along the way about the harbour history and happenings. The restaurants and coffee shops cater to all tastes and moods. Most of them have outside seating, which allows for watching the boats come by. Check out the blue bridge, which is lifted when bigger boats pass through. I believe the bridge connects the North and South harbours. It does take a while for it to come back down but if you are not in a hurry, it’s relaxing to watch. The locks are also interesting to watch as boats are coming and going. There is a lot to see and explore, it’s a great place to visit!

As a berth holder of both jet ski and a power boat both kept here as I have no other option , this marina is a scam, a money grabbing organisation in where all the workers are so jeleous they couldn’t afford a boat or even a paddle board that they make your life hell Hidden payments watch out for, no such thing as free dry storage .(as they charge you to get it from marina to boat yard £500) Absolute liars! They change the goal posts and charge different people different rates for the same service! Avoid at all cost best thing about this place is the restaurants which surround it! Premier marinas are a one big scamming operation! Poor poor service from a ‘potentially’ great place spoilt by greed and stupid rules that come and go depending on the person

I recently visited Sovereign Harbour with my motorboat, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The employees were incredibly helpful and friendly, which was a stark contrast to the hostility I’ve encountered at Brighton Marina. Their respectful and kind attitude made our experience enjoyable. A special mention goes to Kim, the Duty Manager. Her ability to connect with bertholders and provide excellent service truly stood out. She understands the importance of a smile and helpfulness in the business, making my visit smooth and delightful. Kim is undoubtedly an asset to this marina. Sovereign Harbour Marina exudes a positive atmosphere. It’s well-maintained, clean, and naturally attracts beautiful boats. In this contrast, Brighton Marina’s aggressive approach towards bertholders remains a mystery.

This is quite a walk from the centre of Eastbourne but on a nice day, a very pleasant one. There are a number of hi stoic attractions along the way including the old Redoubt Fort and the Martello Tower 66 and the entrance has an interesting double entry lock system. The marina is attractive and has a number of restaurants which should cater for every taste. We enjoyed our visit and and watching the gentle passage of time from a waterfront bar.

Absolutely lovely. I love looking at all the boats, imagining where they've been, where they're going ... The only downside is that we can't get up close and personal anymore, so conversation with these interesting voyagers is impossible. A great selection of restaurants surrounds the Marina, and the ambience was convivial despite CoVid 19 lurking in the ether 💞

What a fab night out! Nice bar, great entertainment, lots of singing and dancing. Will make a special trip to Eastbourne just for the bandstand

It has finally re opened and ready to entertain with some live music! Last night a band played the Queens and it was sold out, but being an outdoor venue, one can still enjoy the performance from the sides. Thank you for organising this!

This is a beautiful bandstand on the sea front and we saw a free Easter concert by the silver band here. There's a small bar as well which was a nice touch. I took a star off because there were hardly any seats at all, I was fine sitting on the floor so it wasn't a problem, but would have been for anyone with mobility issues or who couldn't get down to the floor.

Tribute bands galore. All genres from the Carpenters, Little Mix to Guns n Roses. Typical times 7:30 - 9:30pm. Typically cost £10. Sheltered, but can get cold (and wet if you are not undercover). No seat numbers .... just help yourself. Toilets are public toilets. Dancing welcomed! Proms and fireworks Mid week (but never been)

Brilliant little venue for open air events. Unfortunately if you sit on either side of the stage, you're not likely to see the lead singer/main performer. Need more seats out front for some of the tribute bands. Great sound though. Nice acoustics.

This bandstand make an incredible venue for a concert. I was a speaker at an outside church service where around 1000 people gathered. It makes for a very intimate venue as you can see everyone clearly from the stage. Th acoustics are amazing too. We had a brilliant sunny day hope you get one too.

The bandstand is a great idea to bring people together in the community. Although, I felt the stage was quite high for where we sit. There was a bar available and access to toilets. There is a ticket stand near the stairs as well. Fireworks that went off at 10pm were stunning.

It is a beautiful place to see a concert. We went back three nights in a row and had a brilliant time. We seen the 1820 prom concert, Rod Stewart tribute and the Jersey Boys. All were brilliant. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the tea was good. It was really cold on the two first nights, I mean baltic, freezing, blankets and jacket required . It was just a bit chilly the third night. These were evenings after a really lovely, hot day so I would recommend to take a jacket and small blanket even if you think you won't need it.

Love going to see the tribute acts at the bandstand. ABBA were great. The whole place is a little tired and in need of big tlc. Come on EBC get it sorted. Capacity now reduced due to some of it being blocked off. Work ongoing but little progress to be seen.

Great night at Eastbourne Bandstand watching Coldplay unlimited. Great voice, great musicians.

Wow , what a lovely setting for a great night out .Some really good groups / act's at the bandstand , been there many of times over the years and seen many great performances there. We'll organise and run . Worth Checking it out to see what's on folks. Fair price for a great night out. Lovely to see people dancing and having fun time.

Really Really worth going. A mix of paid and volunteer staff here all super helpful. Took our 95 year old neighbour to see a show who was taken the best care of and had a great time. One of the theatres that was closed during COVID and may still close if we don't use them more. Everyone here is super glad to be back and open again and if you want to feel special too, go see a show!!!

Me and my family have now been to see Wizard of oz, Jack and the bean stalk, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, and Goldie locks and the three bears panto, If you want family fun entertainment these guys are the ones to see haven’t been disappointed yet, although I am going to be truly honest Goldie locks and the three bears was probably the most boring out of them all I didn’t laugh no where near as much as the other 3pantos it felt really dulled down not like any of the other 3 of their shows, my 14year old didn’t enjoy it like he did the other 3 either, How ever My 9year old nephew and 5year old daughter really enjoyed it just as much as all the others ☺️ But felt this was aimed more for the younger and not a whole family entertainment, But never the less What a brilliant team they are and it won’t put us off coming back to watch Aladdin at Christmas ☺️

What a great little theatre! Second year we have been to the Panto here and it is by far a lot better than the bigger productions. The actors seem like they are really enjoying themselves and the theatre staff and conscientious and attentive. If your looking for a great panto with the kids the head here. Very recommended!

Venue was nice, traditional theatre. Bit strange for a live band to play to a seated audience & also not have a bar while the gig is on but the audience didn't seem to mind. The Stewards let the venue down. I imagine they are mostly volunteers & over 'a certain age' I was 'told off' by an elderly gentlemen for taking photos. I actually had a complimentary ticket from the band, reason being to take photos! but he insisted it was the bands request. Stewards were constantly trying to keep people in their seats when they had previously been told it was fine to dance. Once everyone got up dancing the Stewards just gave up! After the show I heard two female Stewards discussing the band & how the venue wasn't right for them although feedback from ticket buyers was amazing.

Enjoyed the venue very much, I know it was all refurbished in 2023 and it all looked great, comfortable seats and good veiws. Saw Coleen Nolan she was good and very nostalgic, oddly her boy Shane performed the first 25% of the showtime. He was OK.

Just attended a magnificent show from magician Richard Jones was privileged to have had a VIP meet and greet ticket and was treated to some personal close up magic before the show which was brilliant. A BIG thanks must also go to the wonderful staff at the theatre that work really hard and are all so helpful and friendly a special thanks to the manager for finding me an elastic band for my show poster👍look forward to seeing you all again soon 😀

Myself and my 2 children love this theatre. We come every year for the panto. Always amazing performances and so much effort is put into it. The venue is always clean and tidy, the staff are brilliant and so accommodating. Highly recommended.

Saw the Jive Aces, excellent evening, who does'nt like rock and roll/jives/blues. Would def see the group again.

Went to see the Lionel Richie and Diana Ross tribute acts.. The theatre is fantastic with all the friendly staff making you feel so welcomed.. This is a fab show including the great backing singers who just want to make you get up and dance .. thanks to everyone involved who made this such a fab night out.

Lovely theatre, recently had a revamp, seats much better, walls and decor too. Still a long queue for drinks at the bar but decent prices. Well worth a visit, we saw GYOW (Fleetwood Mac Legacy) and loved both the show and the theatre

140 years old this year. A classic theatre with an intimate feel. Good facilities and friendly staff, many of whom are volunteers helping to keep this lovely venue clean,tidy and welcoming.

Never been before, lovely little theatre , had a brilliant view and the ticket didn't cost an arm or a leg .Would certainly visit again

We saw the panto version of snow White and both the kids and adults loved the show. The venue is a lovely old theatre with a very traditional ambience that makes for a great time.

Visited Eastbourne and booked two shows, first was Bruce Springsteen tribute at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre. The band was great musians but didn't realise how many I didn't know but brilliant finish. The theatre is 150 years old but looks fantastic. We must keep these places open for the next generation. Two drinks were over £10 so little on the experience side and no bar seating but we'll worth a visit.

We recently watched the Christmas panto Snow White, which was really good fun. The children enjoyed it and there were plenty of laughs for the grown ups too. The theatre itself is lovely, very nostalgic, and the staff are all ultra friendly and helpful.

Friendly people seeing us in and to our seats. Lovely theatre. Good bar for the interval 😊 It is an old building so one has to make allowances for the toilet flushing or not but they said they'd sort it. 😅 Great panto time had by all.

Excellent day out! Lots to do for kids, the train ride is fantastic. Lots of play areas and picnic areas. Great value for money. We are definitely considering getting the annual pass. Can't wait to visit again.

We've held membership here for years and I consider it to be the best value half day out for kids under 10 anywhere in Sussex. As well as the trains there are 4 separate play areas (one for under 4s only), a hedge maze, a lakeside walk, a 'fossil cave', and now miniature golf - all of which are free and included in your admission price.

Lovely place for children. Great play area and nice mini train ride around the lake. Small food shack on site but plenty of picnic benches.

Amazing it is at least. You can ride a mini real steam train smealing coal it so realistic unbelievable. And a grate part of national pioneering (steam trains) the top from that era. Educational for the kids and a lot of entertainment for kids. I am impressed

Tucked away beside the golf club is EMSR. Large car-park directly outside. There is a single track miniature railway that circles the lake. A decent length but you do only get one ride on admission. Extra rides are charged. There is also a hedge maze, a gnome garden, some water features and a walk that follows the same path as the railway.

A lovely day out in the fresh air. Plenty of play areas and interesting, quirky things to enjoy like the gnome garden which is adorable. Lots of picnic tables too. We had eaten before we went so didn't try anything from the cafe apart from an ice lolly and I was impressed that the price charged was quite reasonable. The train travels faster than expected and it was really fun even if going into the very low tunnel with the shadows and my sunglasses making it impossible to see if my head was clear was terrifying. I am only 5' 4" and I didn't have much clearance and it comes up on you very suddenly with no warning. I do think the entrance price is expensive for just a 5 minute train ride but they clearly care for and upkeep the surroundings very well indeed and I guess that costs money. A little oasis of peace and quiet.

Really fun and well kept place : ideal for our two years old daughter. The steam train trip was really fun and safe. Food prices were good. We had a great experience there . Lovely place with plenty of playground things for kids of all ages . We will go there again for sure .

Was very easy to get to.There is a good size car park that's right outside the entrance with disabled parking nearest to the ticket office once inside the train is right in front of you a nice ride that shows you where everything is located.There are plenty of places to picnic and the seating outside the cafe is handy for the loos the menu is adequate for most and is well priced.loads for little kids to do in separate play area's overall a good day out

This place is top-notch!! What a delightful few hours we spent here. We, as an OAP couple were 12 year-olds again!! Walked around the estate twice, went on the train numerous times. Had a cream-tea. An ice-cream & copious amount of fun. Friendly staff, fantastic location, well laid out. A joyous day.

This is one of the biggest miniature railway attractions that we have been to. Probably most attractive to under 10s, this attraction has scenic and well-kept grounds beyond the train rides. Nice for half a day of picnics and walks.

Great day out for young children, would say not much for plus 11 year olds. My 3 y/o and 10 y/o had a great day, the price for entry includes one ride of the train which is reasonably priced. The train is great, the loop takes around 7 minutes so it is quite short but you can buy more rides for a few pounds. The other attractions include a good playground for older kids and separate ones for toddlers, maze, water gardens, nature walk and a small cabinet miniature railway. Only one cafe but picnics are allowed, cafe was nothing amazing but very well priced considering they had a captive audience. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the few hours there.

Perfect for a day out with the whole family. Lovely, clean place, with smiling kids all around. And if the kids are happy, the parents are too ;)

What a great day the boys had such fun and every year you just get better and better the new crazy golf is just brilliant .. we bought lunch at the cafe today for the first time it was lovely and fresh made sandwiches . A hood all round fun filled day Amazing good value for money Thankyou

Here to look at the fishing lake behind. Lovely spot. Have to be a member and the waiting list is several years according to those I spoke to but it's a lovely spot.

Every town should have a great art gallery and exhibition space. This is a delight it's free for most areas apart from special exhibitions. A great permanent collection of Ravilious paintings. Has both a cafe downstairs and restaurant upstairs fully wheelchair accessible.

Was not expecting this gem of a gallery in Eastbourne. Was so impressed. Stunning building and London quality exhibition and experience. Beautuful art by Laura Knight and Eileen Mayo, was my favourite floor.

Loved it and particularly the cosy cinema. Cafe on top floor great apart from the noisy coffee machine.

I really loved my visit to the Towner. The exhibition was very well organised and displayed (Barbara Hepworth), the lift up was ginormous and so we're the scones in the Cornish Cream Tea (very appropriate at a Hepworth exhibition).

Turner prize winner in the great exhibition at the Towner Gallery was a treat to experience! Also loved the Vanessa Bell and Eric Ravillious paintings and prints, such a visual treat! Nice service and coffee upstairs in the restaurant. Lovely selection of unusual artisan gifts and local souvenirs in the ground floor shop.

Really enjoyed the Eileen Mayo exhibition and the fruity pot of herb tea was excellent thank you.

Such a beautiful town gallery! We came with no expectations and found great contemporary art surprises. Worth the visit!

A very modern looking art gallery with an amazing collection of paintings. The star of the show for me was the Eric Ravilious collection. The entry is free but there are paid exhibitions happening in the gallery too. Also has a nice restaurant inside. Even the outside of the gallery is a work of art. German artist Lothar Götz transformed the exterior walls of the gallery with his large-scale, colourful geometric artwork, 'Dance Diagonal'. A must visit on your trip to Eastbourne

Nice modern art gallery. On the first floor there is a hall available for visiting, with free entrance. There is a cafe-bar and a small shop with art souvenirs. I recommend.

Went to see Turner prize exhibition. Well worth the visit. Loved the big, open feel of this gallery. So spacious that it did not feel at all crowded. Nice cafes. Easy to get to, plenty of parking nearby.

Excellent gallery with sculptures outside and the Turner Prize inside - my reasons for visiting. Interesting and tasty option in the restaurant too.

So interesting, visiting & viewing the Turner Prize nominations. I love the shop as well. Also the nice little cinema. I live in Seaford so can use the excellent bus service.

Went for the Turner Prize show which was free entry. Enjoyed Jesse Darling's sculptures and Barbara Walker's drawings the most. There is also a great room with wonderful Eric Ravilious originals of local landscapes and a large Grayson Perry picture. Outside the gallery has been painted in beautiful geometric colours and there is a very moving piece by Michael Rakowitz’ a glorious winged bull. Well worth a visit

An incredible art gallery with an amazing hands-on artistic experience for the kids. We made all sorts of things and as soon as we left, I was asked by my eldest when we could go back again. I've already told one of my friends about it and will rave about it to everyone I know! The biggest lift in the entire world provided many giggles too. Nice cafe, slightly high priced for a kids hot chocolate I'd say, but came out at the perfect drinking temperature and my oat flat white was absolutely delicious. The art galleries themselves have a great mix of art and quite a laid back feel. Just the right size for little people without them getting too overwhelmed. Thanks for having us...we will be back! My heads up would be to wear old clothes if you're going to do a family drop in. I know they change all the time, but we didn't anticipate acrylic paint or drawing ink. I fear a few items of clothes will have lasting marks of the day! It's not the end of the world by any stretch but I was a bit like a mad woman trying to keep my toddler under control!

Fabulous gallery, not huge but a nice space. The shop had some great gifts. Cafe was stylish but didn’t have time to pop in. There was a ceramics market when I was there which was excellent.

Lots of fun for the kids. The water park provides lots of laughs! Great value for money. Friendly staff. Loads of space to socially distance. Definitely a hit with us and we will be back!

Nice place for the kids to hang out. Splash park has restricted times but if it's not too busy you can ask for another band at no extra cost. Plenty of tables although not much shade on those really hot days. There's a cafe which serves throughout the day. Jelly belly, golf and climbing frames. Was really impressed with the staff enthusiasm entertaining the kids at the soft play!

Great fun, beautiful views, well managed even at peak times. Defo recommend for the kids. Staff friendly and helpful 👌

Amazing place to take your children. Loadz of fun. My 3 Yr old son really enjoyed it here, especially the water slides. Cheap day out.

Good value and loads of fun for young ones. Parking change needed. £4 for all day. Entrance fees reasonable for what you get. Timed entry for water section, but enough time and lots of activities

Don't forget to bring your swimming costume there's a good water park here with several slides. Indoor and outdoor soft play with a couple of play houses.

I loved this place when I was a teen and I took my kids there in 2018 it was great and had many adventures thing to do , loves the golf and water park . The football pitch was a great addition but a bit of sand would always get in your eyes .unfortunately we only went once due to the place being shut down . Please bring this back I loved it and so did my little cheeky monkeys. Your sincerely , Rhubab

A nice hystoric place to visit. Very nice views from the top. I've been on Sunday late and was only few visitors but I guess you can also get into the rooms and to see more. Facilities are offered as a toilet, few benches with tables and also you have a variety of products from small shops from inside as coffee, juices, icecreams, cakes and more. It's nice to visit as a small group with or without kids. I recomend it and for sure I'll be back to visit and relax watching the surroundings and the sea from the top. Have a good day you all! 👍

Great visit which is free unless you want to go in the museum. Kids had a great time playing and looking at the cannons. Nice views to be had on the top level and the cafe is reasonably priced.

Interesting historic fort with exhibits and interactive displays inside. The tour is definitely worth doing as the guides are knowledgeable and you'll learn things you'd otherwise miss.

Nice place to go to find out about some of the history of Eastbourne. Also there is a good opportunity to get some good views of the beach from the fortress. Interesting way to spend a bit of time and no cost for doing so.

What a lovely place. You can get a coffee and sit around. Such a historical site with cannons, though they were not the genuine ones at the fort originally, will inspire your children. The seafront view is great. All these remind is the hard fought peace that we are enjoying. Lest we forget.

Lovely old fortress with great historical information. No charge to enter. Decent cafe on site. We really enjoyed it despite the need to pull the buggy down the initial steps.

You can climb up and around the fortress walls at the far end. The cafe is OK, cheap and cheerful.

Lovely old theatre. Small and comfortable. A great welcome from all the employees. What a lovely team. We saw Gaslight. One of the best shows I ever saw at theatre. I hated the actor so he must be very good. Lovely bar overlooking tennis courts.

Lovely little theatre in Eastbourne! Staff were amazing. If you’re driving there is street parking out the front which is free after 6pm other wise you have to pay. There is a pub next door called the stage coach where you can eat and get 10% off your bill!

I love the Devonshire Theatre and visit there often with family members and friends. We always book the front seats and have seen some superb plays there. Refreshments are available and there is also a nice little bar, overlooking the tennis courts. This year I have seen about four plays so far and I have tickets for future plays through to the autumn. A lovely old theatre, well located to the town centre and there’s plenty of parking in the streets if you cannot get a place in the actual car park. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

We love it here! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We have been to the Christmas panto for the third year running and it never dissapoints. This time we watched Aladdin and the crew that performed were fantastic. They really are a credit to themselves with some hilarious acting. They involve the crowd and they are always doing something silly that gets everyone laughing. Can't wait for next year! Well done guys and girls.

Such a lovely theatre , staff friendly. Great evening show was fantastic, very funny . The invisible man is a must see. Seen some really good plays/shows there.

Always a delight to visit this theatre. As a building it is maintained to a high standard and the staff are always efficient and polite. The shows themselves never disappoint and we will certainly continue to play our part in supporting live theatre!

Absolutely beautiful theatre, which has obviously been kept well. Clean facilities, kind and welcoming staff. Incredibly versatile actors. The only problem was that it just took a little while to get into the particular show we saw.

First time back in the theatre for over two years and it was worth the wait. Fantastic production (Catch Me If You Can). Great seat. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the toilets on the level of the Dress Circle were in a poor condition (this was shared with me by my theatre companion who advised me not to use them).

Our 2nd year visiting the Pantomine here in Eastbourne and although the theatre is a little dated it still gas great charm and atmosphere. Very friendly and hosts some great productions. Panto was great and we will be back next year, already booked and looking forward to it.

I love The Devonshire. It's a beautiful characterful theatre and I have seen many a good show here. Sadly I am unable to say that about The Invisible Man, which I sat through this evening. I was not expecting a vaudeville type farce containing frantic overacting and cheap laughs but that is what this show consisted of. Needless to say, it was not for me, although many in the audience seemed to enjoy the evening.

Our group of carers and clients had a great time at Devonshire Park Theatre watching 'Rapunzel' on stage. We were made to feel very welcome and the whole outing was very special and the staff at the theatre were great. Can't recommend this venue highly enough.

We saw Panto Beauty & The Beast in our town of Eastbourne. Unique and beautiful Theatre. Great show. We laughed,sang.clapped. shouted. It was so much fun for everyone. Great cast . See you in December 2024. I didn't know until yesterday if your over 65 you get a couple of pounds off.so my friend paid £18 instead of £20. It was worth both prices. Show has been on since 9th December 2023, They finish on 14tth January 2024 . Thanks everyone

Fantastic evening watching Diversity...had me in tears it was so good, very loud, but love that!!

lovely little theatre, I remember my Nan taking me here as a child. Lovely views, bars on each floor so you’re not all crammed in like sardines and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We sat in a ‘restricted’ view seat to see Rob Becket (thinking it’s more important you can hear rather than see a standup) but there was nothing ‘restricted’ about it. Perfect view, just not straight on but still saw everything perfectly. Only slight niggle which is to be expected in an older theatre, is the leg room. At 5”9, it’s a little cramped but hardly the end of the world, would advise anyone over the 6” mark consider an end of row seat.

What a fantastic play ok so truth they had some sort of electrical issue safety curtain down but they swiftly got it sorted no one fussed about we all just chatted or face booked 😂 then it was on with the show and they even rewound a tad 😂 it was fabulous a well worth viewing I must say only thing was that disappointing was they did not stay for a chance to take proper photo of the cast 😞 shame but all the same was really good

Pleasant, spacious well designed and comfortable theatre. Excellent staff efficient and friendly. More seating in the bar area would be welcome. It in general a very good experience and enjoyable evening.

Visited on 25/7/23 to see the opening night of Blood Brothers. The show was superb although I felt that it was sometimes let down by the acoustics. This is not the first time I have thought so and I know others that have had similar experiences. The Congress is a great space, is kept clean and the staff are lovely but other than the new seats and landscaping, it is hard to see where so much money was spent on it just a few years ago.

Went to see rocky horror picture show. Honestly, the venue is great, really sleek and modern, and 90% of staff I interacted with great Can't give 5* review though, I'm not sure if a really bizarre policy or just really OTT jobsworth employees. Note: this is an observation and I was not involved We were sat on the upper stalls and there were hundreds of empty seats. Customers who were sat on one of the sides of the upper stalls tried to change seat to the centre stalls but were told they were not allowed (even though seat was empty) and made them move back This happened with three sets of customers (that I observed)

Saw Michael Mcintyre - fab show, polite staff, seats easy to find - door number helpfully displayed on e-tickets. No problem getting a drink. Could have done with notice re the first and only interval as it wasn't made clear initially.

Lovely theatre. Friendly staff. We sat in the grand circle. Great view of the stage. Comfortable seating loads of leg room. Good sound quality. The cafe bar on the ground floor is nice. Not cheap, but friendly staff and quick service.

Brilliant night out with the wife. So easy to get in and find your seat. Usher's we're helpful and friendly 🙂. Great view. And not bad seats.

A good place. Many cultural events take place here. The hall in which all events take place is normal, only for us personally there were rather uncomfortable seats. In general, good.

Disabled parking for this venue is very limited, but access is good, show we saw was excellent, seats not very comfortable, and was a little disappointed as to where disabled were 'parked' they have a lovely area that chairs can be put onto except when seeing a show where you are encouraged to stand suddenly anyone in a wheelchair cannot see a thing as they are behind the back row of the lower stands,, but staff were very friendly and helpful, and my friend who was in the chair said that it's usually quite normal that their view is obstructed in a lot of theatre's, maybe someone could put on their thinking caps as to how to remedy this problem

I love the Congress theatre Eastbourne, it's modern and comfortable, the sound is excellent and the shows are varied and highly professional. Tickets prices are reasonable and the place just seems to run really efficiently, oh, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to holidaymakers and locals alike.

The show was great. The venue is badly organised, no queuing system for the bar as no barriers,so free for all. Hard to find bins and intimidating bouncers making not feel welcome. I'll give it a miss

We had a great time here watching and dancing to Queen Extravaganza on 12th March 2024. Having seen Queen in 1986, I was apprehensive about going to the gig. It was amazing though and I would highly recommend it. The sound was amazing in the congress theatre. A great evening was had by all.

Great place. Easy to find your way round. Comfy seats although I did find seats too close to the row behind so too easy for feet to hit the backs of chairs

Wonderful local resource, beautiful theatre, easily accessible for older and less mobile visitors. A lovely venue.

Went to see Fake Lionel Richie. Was a very good venue, nicely smartened up. Lots of staff, easy to get served. Small criticism is the floor in the main auditorium, old looking tiles, give it a cold feel. Bring back the carpet.

Friendly, helpful staff, went this time for the Rod Stewart Story, Some Guys Have All The Luck, very enjoyable, lots of singing that the audience were encouraged to join in with people were also up dancing 🎶🕺👏😊

Cafe service was extremely slow! Three members of staff at least but had to wait ages for soup to be ready. Nobody else in the queue. Also there were no bagets they had run out although the bread alternative was nice. Extremely limited choice of cake, the counter looked empty and it was lunchtime. Scones were available. I did however look around the farm shop and the displays were nicely presented. A few hampers available which caught my eye but expensive considering the items inside. Not one I will rush back to unfortunately. A positive was the Cook range stocked.

If you need to take your kids and you have literally 2 hours this is the farm for you. Small and kids can do all of it without crashing. Animals, Wendy houses, trails and suprises as you walk Play ground could have a little more things as when it's busy it's very crowded but nevertheless less it's our favourite

Amazing for Christmas, Halloween, paw patrol days, strawberry picking …honestly I could go on and on but they put on some amazing events we recently visited for the pumpkin picking and we love it we have been going for 4 years and each and every year they up and up and up there game always trying to make it the best event! We enjoy the playground the friendly animals and a nice muddy nature walk it’s such a good day out for the family.

We came to the farm yesterday for the first time and we had the best time! It was the first time my son had been to a farm and he had so much fun! There is so much to do, he loved the sand pit and the golf, we loved the animals and the farm trail, it was a little muddy but that made it more fun for my son who loves jumping in muddy puddles!! The only thing I would advise is to take your own picnic as the cafe only had pastrys available except for a lunch box for children which was well priced and included a sandwich, crisps, chocolate bar and a drink which he very much enjoyed. We are really looking forward to coming back here again 😀

Lovely little farm walk that's got chickens , cows , sheep , pigs a park with swings and slides and also some wooden wendy houses as you walk around the farm trail. I also have a nice farm shop with a butchers some little souvenir gifts and a coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating.

Love Sharnford farm, go every other week. Great cafe with gluten free options. Butchers are really helpful, got delicious cracked black pepper gluten free sausages. Meat and vegetables are always good quality

Arrived at lunchtime for a quick bite with a large group age range 6-97 as you can imagine we had lots of hungry tummies. When it was time to order almost everything we tried ordering was out of stock paying £60+ for our order the children excited, hungry and needing to kill some time and having a large play park the kids tried to enter however to our surprise playing in the park cost £8 per child. it took a further 40 minutes for for some chips and sandwiches that were nothing to shout about to arrive, also tea cakes were burnt and dry. The team hardly engaged with us or apologised for the wait. Definitely not worth a return visit.

Not sure what's happened to this place. Used to be a lovely day out, full of animals, fresh food such as quiche and salads in the cafe. Fresh food has been replaced with chicken nuggets, chips and sandwiches etc. Barely any animals to be seen.. you have to pay to get in.. which I wouldn't mind if there were some animals?!?! You even have to pay for your children to play in their park..The whole essence of this lovely farm has changed. A rip off of a day out with poor attractions and lack of family feel.

Had a great afternoon at the farm and the witches hat trail. Came to the cafe at 2:40 and joined a queue. I asked for a baguette, 2 lunch boxes only to be told they do not take any orders for food after 2:30. Instead we had a cheese scone and 2 slices of cake, 2 packets of crisps, two fizzy drinks and a coffee. Other people came in while were sitting eating, we heard them ordering lunch boxes and sausage and chips only to have their order taken. We were not the only family told NO orders. I had mymy two grandchildren then ask why they couldn't have a lunch box. As a business, you need to be consistent, a sign needs to be added to the menu stating food stops at 2:30, or pay your staff to work extra during busy times; school holidays. Such a sad end to what had been a great afternoon treat. One of your staff could see I was a little annoyed and came to ask if I was waiting for an order, I explained what had happened and she was apologetic, but she was following instructions from the person in charge.

Visited Easter weekend. The walk was lovely and we could see some improvements. Not enough to justify the additional cost. The food was shockingly bad. Nearly £5 for a tuna sandwich. Which we worse than what you make at home on cheap white bread. Probably cost a £1 to make at most. No crisps or salad, just a soggy sandwich in a brown paper bag. The kids pack lunch for the same price was actually a better deal and more filling. The shop has disappeared, which is a real shame. I use to love the shop. I think you've opened way to early. Signs saying hot food served from the 15th April and more attractions and shop in May. I will probably re-visit in May, but if the service and attractions don't improve. You will loose me and many more as valued customers. This place used to be so good, what a shame.

Farm itself is great, we had a lovely day but if you don’t drive don’t even try to get there by bus. Bus drivers are nice enough to let you out there but they won’t stop to take you on the bus. There are few close bus stops around but unfortunately no way to get to them or from them to the farm as no pavement and it’s motorway all the way with not even a bit of grass to walk on. Make sure you have some money for a cab!

Very expensive for what you get. There's sheep, pigs (with awful hay) ducks (in awful conditions) goats, rabbits and llamas. The cafe was nice however again very expensive, £4.70 for a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows!!

Brilliant day with kids enjoying the trail and meeting Peppa and George really lovely laid out and animals well looked after. Staff were friendly and helpful will visit again!

This is a popular outdoor attraction for families with an extensive play area, woodland walks, farm animals, a cafe, shop and butchers. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Popular during school holidays for parents and grandparents with youngsters. A large car park is a welcome bonus.

Cafe had no pasties at 1pm on a Saturday. Waited 20 minutes for two toasted tea cakes. £8 for a child to play in their playground. (Under 2s go free) Butchers looked good though. Not a local to the area so won’t be in a rush to come back again. Would need to do better to get me to return.

We waited for half an hour to be served in the coffee shop, despite having five staff behind the counter. We waited over half an hour for our food and by that time, I had given up on ever receiving the food we ordered. I asked for a refund and this flummoxed the staff. The money has not been refunded so we’re £20 down. I spoke with the assistant in the farm shop, as I felt so sorry for the young staff in the coffee shop (they were clearly struggling and lacking in training). However, I was told, “what can I say?” Also, I was ‘advised’ the area manager was working in the coffee shop… In other words, no one cares. This is a shocking way to treat customers. If you’re happy to take people’s hard-earned money, you should be happy to serve them with basic civility.

Lovely little place, the children two aged 7 and one 4 year old loved all the activities around the walk. Shop was a little disappointing but there’s a promise of more to come in May. The guy at the till was warm and welcoming with great customer service. Nice half price entry when we attended also.

Disappointed with the cafe, after being closed for quite some time. It was 1pm lunchtime and my husband and I were the only 2 people in there. No atmosphere, very little choice, sausage rolls dry and small fir the price. Perhaps they should have reopened when everything was in place and the kitchen was fully functioning. Shame because it used to be a really good cafe and farm shop.

My family have been coming to Sharnfold since my little one could walk, 4 years on and a change of ownership and sadly I fear the farm is no longer a place we’ll be able to come to. We came during the Easter half term so it was understandably busy but the farms been changed for the worse. There’s no longer a farm shop which was lovely for fresh produce, but are now just tables and chairs. We arrived to find the check-in process for the farm was the same line for food which took ages only to find out there was no chef (not that I think one chef could handle that many people!), the hot drinks choices was extremely limited, only filtered coffee and tea whereas before you could get lattes etc. We were hoping to eat at the farm as we usually do but had to go elsewhere. It’s clear more staff were needed or to be utilised better. Bins were overflowing, the coffee stand was littered with rubbish discarded by customers and left the place feeling neglected and unattended. It appeared that 6 months was spent putting up a few signs and painting a few sheds - I can only assume most of the time was spent doing legal paperwork? The impression I felt it was that this place has been taken over for the money and the care for the farm and the customers has completely gone out the window. The place has lost the charm it had. We used to enjoy the Halloween and Christmas events but I fear we will be forced to source alternative venues in the future going by how our visit went. So sad. I used to enjoy coming here.

Sharnford has improved somewhat since we last visited but is still pretty poor. I would say its good for 6/7's & under as the vast majority of the play equipment is designed for little children, older ones may get bored quite quickly. We got in on a half price deal (4 of us for around £20) I do not think the playground and a few animals make it worth £40 as it is far from a full day out. We were there for less than 2 hours and had seen/done everything. Could do with some gravel paths as it was SO waterlogged we ended up with mud up to our knees! We also had a coffee (no cappuccino, latte or hot chocolate on the menu) and it was ridiculously small!

Always have a great time when I bring my kids here. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with anything. This has to be my favourite farm as there's so much to do and see. We always leave happy. Thank you

Greta to see this place back open and with such improvements. We visited over the Easter opening weekend and was pleasantly surprised with the current changes and we look forward to what the future holds for Sharnfold Farm. I can’t comment on the Cafe, but the trail walk and animals were enjoyed by all. My only criticism would be, to have a dedicated tills for the farm shop and cafe, as you have to queue again, which was busy as there’s only the 1 queue for all of it: The entry, the cafe and the farm shop.

This is an historic Marello Tower sited on top of the hill near the west end of Eastbourne 's Promenade. It is unusual in that it is sunk into a pit, presumably to add further protection against cannon fire from ships, although, perhaps this was done later. The tower is set in a nice garden layout and the views are exceptional on a clear day. If you visit here, do check out the old lifeboat museum at the bottom of the hill too.

An important historical spot though it's a shame you can't go in it any longer

Wonderful place, if you go Eastbourne you should visit and make your wish. Who knows,maybe your wish will come true one day.

Very intresting place to visit in Eastbourne, worth a picture or two. I would recomend to do a tad bit of research about the place to make it more intriguing.

One of 74 Martello Towers built along the south coast to defend against Napoleon in the early 1800's. The walls are 14 feet thick on the seaward side to defend against cannon balls and the round shape is to deflect cannon balls. On top would have been mounted at least one cannon on a swivel mount. It was never used in the napoleonic wars as napoleon didn’t invade in the end but if he had then this tower was part of the coastal defence.

Interesting structure. Real history. Great place to sit.

Nigel greaves In every art gallery you can find a treasure ,but in the angel Greaves art gallery the treasure the art is him, my family andi we're wowed with his art but when he came down to speak to us we were gobsmacked a master class in art and wisdom assailed us,I needed to record his gems ours wisdom and encouragement and it wasn't a show ,a master teacher and artist, I needed a chair. In the gallery is a quote  "Art makes makes more sense of you've met the person who created it." I'll never see art the same way again, he opened my not to just his art but art in general it was like having new eyes. Whatever state your in go see him, go see his art I guarantee you if he explains just one picture to you , you'll come out happy and changed and definitely wowed like my family 5 stars out of 5 easy.

Amazing art work by Nigel in this gallery situated in a nice location in Eastbourne. Nigel was there in the Studio when I visited today and it was such a pleasant experience to hear him talk about his works. He told about his techniques, his inspirations and experiences. Such an amazing experience to hear from the artist himself.

Beautiful gallery! Be sure to visit this place when you are in Eastbourne. We were there with a friend recently and were amazed to meet Nigel and look at his artworks! Impressive paintings! Amazing person!

Well worth a visit. I loved looking around the gallery at Nigel’s work, some pieces really struck me and Nigel was happy to spend the time talking through his inspiration behind them. I loved the positivity, bright colours and use of texture in his paintings.

This gallery was absolutely stunning! I planned to go and have a quick look and then ended up looking at all these amazing works for at least 45 minutes!! What also made this experience so special was the artist himself. We had a great chat about his works, the story behind the art and we also talked about some inspiring quotes that he involved in his gallery. You should definitely visit if you’re interested in strong emotions in paintings and seeing a great variety of different styles, each one beautiful in its own way. One day I will come again all the way from Germany and buy one of these wonderful paintings. :)

Such an interesting array of different art work. Nigel is so enthusiastic and it was great to hear the ideas behind some of his work. Definitely worth a visit. Will be going there again. Marianne.

I visited the Nigel Greaves Gallery a couple of days ago and was very impressed with his work. I thought it was interesting, innovative and reasonably priced. Personally, I found his work uplifting, an explosion of colour. I am very happy with my purchase.

What a fantastic experience, happened by this Gallery on our way to the Towner. To be shown around by Nigel himself makes such a difference in understanding the depth of his work. Who doesn’t love reasonably priced original art. Will definitely be returning

Nigel's work was a bright spot on my rainy day in Eastbourne. I loved that all his works are originals and no prints are made. The stories he shared behind the paintings added that beautiful personal touch you don't get at other galleries. The love of his work shines thru each painting.

Lovely cheerful gallery with beautiful paintings run by the artist himself. It was a lovely visit, the kids enjoyed it and had the pleasure of Mr. Greaves describing the inspiration behind some of his paintings. Would definitely go back.

A friend and I visited Nigel Greaves Gallery when we were staying at the Grand Hotel. Nigel's original land and seascapes are to say the least, amazing and his use of colour is spectacular, immediately uplifting and his paintings invoke a sense of light and possibility. This from someone who doesn't know anything really about art, except what I like or don't like. Will definitely be visiting again. Beth K

The Nigel Greaves Gallery was a lovely experience. I came by on Monday and the artist himself opened the door for me. He showed me around his work and explained to me what thoughts and ideas were behind some drawings. Any questions I had he would answer me. I had never met the artist to the paintings before so this was very special and I highly recommend trying it out yourself (free entry). It really does help you to understand the pictures better.

I visited Nigel's gallery today with my friend Renata. A wonderful and very well presented range of work. Original and vibrant, stylish and evocative. Well worth a visit and Nigel is very engaging and accommodating.

It was my pleasure to meet you and to be given a small insight into your work. The whole experience was magical.
