A very lovely cathedral both on the outside and within. For a small donation the workers at the cathedral will let you climb to the top of the cathedral and photograph the view from there. It was a lot of fun. Remember that this is a working church, so be respectful and quiet.

Just renovated and freakishly clean park seem to have lost it's peacefull atmosphere. The results of reconstruction look unnatural and somehow violent. Want to watch a fancy park go to the palace park. Want to watch a wild park go to Aleksandriyskiy one. All locals prefer Aleksandriyskiy park but the bad news is it is not free any more. I think it is not right; it should be free for people.

I had never heard of Peterhof, Nizhniy Park, or Monplezir prior to arriving in Saint Petersburg but they were on my friends list of places we were visiting. Since I knew nothing about these places I was more than shocked when we arrived. Our guide took us through the Нижний парк to first see Монплезир. If we had spent all day in Нижний парк, I don’t thing we could have seen everything but some of the fountains stand out because of seeing so many people enjoying them or they were beyond beautiful. Getting around Nizhniy Park in my wheelchair was a lot of work but very worth the effort. Wheelchair users: You should also always call ahead to find out if there is wheelchair access to bars, clubs, museums, and restaurants. In most cases the answer, sadly, will be in the negative. Alternatively, assume it is inaccessible and hire a few people to lift you and your chair up the stairs, and then be sure to pay very generously for the assistance.
