Complete route in 10 days starting from Mahon after booking the hotel in advance for all the nights. I traveled it in April with my wife and we never met practically anyone. I recommend booking hotels because otherwise it can be a problem, especially on the north coast. It is well traced but I brought the GPS, which is also useful for getting to the hotels. Stock up on food and water at the start of the stage because there are many long stretches without any service, except at the end of the stage. It turned out to be a trek that exceeded expectations and I recommend it to everyone for these reasons: - you can see the entire coast of Minorca with cliffs, heavenly coves, extraordinary blooms (in April) of orchids, fields of wild gladioli, daisies and an infinite number of other flowers; - always in the midst of nature with very little contact with towns, hotels, bars except at the end of the stage (on the north coast there is absolutely nothing, while in the south the settlements are more frequent but never invasive); - there are no transit-only stages; each has original elements and deserves to be explored; the first stage crosses the natural park of s'Albufera des Grau, the second, short one touches the typical area of ​​Fornells, the third, the most demanding, of over 30 km and 1,100 meters of altitude difference uphill, wildly splendid, the fourth on the plateau of Punta Nati, the fifth along the coast up to Punta Prima and the others along the extraordinary beaches of the south coast... The tour must be planned well, paying attention to the first 3/4 stages; we needed to call a taxi to get to the hotel (from Cala Morell, where it is difficult to find accommodation, to Ciutadella, and back the next morning to Cala Morell where we resumed the trek). Fare scorta di viveri e acqua a inizio tappa perché ci sono molti tratti lunghi senza nessun servizio, se non a fine tappa. Si è rivelato un trekking al di sopra delle aspettative e lo consiglio a tutti per questi motivi: - si vede tutta la costa di Minorca con scogliere, calette paradisiache, fioriture straordinarie (in aprile) di orchidee, campi di gladioli selvatici, margherite e un'infinità di altri fiori; - sempre in mezzo alla natura con pochissimi contatti con paesi, alberghi, bar se non a fine tappa (nella costa nord non c'è proprio nulla, mentre a sud gli insediamenti sono più frequenti ma mai invasivi); - non ci sono tappe di solo transito; ognuna ha elementi originali e merita di essere percorsa; la prima tappa attraversa il parco naturale di s'Albufera des Grau, la seconda, breve tocca la zona tipica di Fornells, la terza, la più impegnativa, di oltre 30 km e 1.100 metri di dislivello in salita, selvaggiamente splendida, la quarta sull'altopiano di Punta Nati, la quinta lungo la costa fino a Punta Prima e le altre lungo le spiagge straordinarie della costa sud... Great variety of food and drinks in an old refurbished fish market. Prices reasonable and excellent choice of wines. There are barbells outside for anyone that wants to smoke or sit in the sun.

One of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever been insides. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, almost walked right past it. Filled with gorgeous statues and architecture, will take your breath away, gave me shivers.

Dazzling church behind the fish market dedicated to the Virgin of Carmen, patroness of the sailors. Ethereal atmosphere that captures the long link between the uncertainty of the sea and the prayers for a profitable and safe fishing trip.

An amazing museum that is a must for anyone who wants to know any of the fascinating history of Menorca! Prehistory, Romans, Moors, Spanish, French and British history... a lot happened here to make it the place it is today. I highly recommend if you want to appreciate the island a bit more! Entrance is €4.00 which I think is well worth if you want to spend the time in there. This gives you access to the first and second floor where the main museum is. You can enter the ground floor for free to see the building and the free exhibitions.

A nice small exhibition of local artists with drawings and furniture and an impressive building. Definitely worth visiting when you are in Mahon.

Marvelous spa boutique hotel at the heart of Mahon. Very romantic, sumptuous and spacious rooms with nice birds decoration. Fancy bathrooms with deep spa vibes. Extremely silent despite being next to the city hall. Amazing breakfast with about 15 proposals of different toasts with typical Menorcan products, some cakes and pastries. Ideal for a disconnection holiday.
