Definitely book and reserve a tour. Our tour guide was fabulous and just so nice. This place completely blows away Chandon in Napa because it's in champagne. The champagne tasting is 5 stars.

Had an excellent tour at Moet. It was my second tour of the day, so I'm glad there wasn't a lot of explanation on the process of making champagne. However, if it's your first tour and you want to know more about this, you can ask. But most people only care about the tasting.

Great place to start your visit to Epernay. Lovely boutique store which is open for everyone, you do not need to do a tour. Plenty of opportunity to buy Moët champagne plus other branded items. Stocks Dom Perignon champagnes as well (they are owned by Moët).

One of the first and most famous wineries for Champagne in the world. Book a tour well ahead! You will be estonished, what treasures the huge cellars hold for you. Beside the tour, there is of course a giftshop!

Huge is the word for them. They are big and they are professional. Their wine is very popular but probably one needs to develop a taste to appreciate it. I guess I still have not developed the taste.

I throughly enjoyed visiting Moet et Chandon with friends last week. The guide was super knowledgable and kind enough to make the tour in both French & English. The tasting was of Brut Imperial and Brut Imperial Rose was of course very enjoyable. The tour was 2 hrs with tastings and in my view, worth it.

Fabulous and informative tour and tasting. Must book in advance, I booked 2 months in advanced and got the last two English language tours for the day. Most people on our tour were from organised tours of the champagne region so may explain the need to book so far in advance.

This was my first champagne tasting experience and it was brilliant!!! The Grand Vintage Tour is a great introduction to champagne tasting.

We had an amazing, fun, knowledgeable guide Violetta during our 40 euros per person tour of the Moet & Chandon cellars. The cellars are great but for my mom they were not super accessible as you need to walk up and down stairs to get to them. There isn’t an elevator that goes to the cellars 30 meters below. I would have put a 5 star review otherwise.

What an amazing experience! Mohammed our guide was amazing! So much history and of course the champagne is top notch. Highly recommend doing the tour of the caverns. The 2015 Grand Vintage Rose we had after was soooo good!

Amazing. This is what you would expect from a visit to a place of this level and at this price. Well-mannered and polite staff, impeccably furnished and clean place. Extremely pleasant tour, done with patience, providing very interesting information. The tasting is also done patiently, in an elegant location. I recommend it without a doubt.

They have a small private parking lot. Just pull up and hit the intercom and they’ll let you in. If you don’t find parking, check the side streets. I got in with no appointment for just a tasting, but you need an appointment for a tour. The champagne is good, but there are so many smaller wineries producing this quality or better that you can get more affordably.

It’s a well maintained street lined with all famous champagne brands you can imagine. Most of the ‘champagne houses’ also have their own garden where you can relax and enjoy a glass… or two 💁‍♂️ or if you’re like me, enjoying just to look at all well dressed zipping people while I’m strolling along the street among the old and impressive buildings. At the beginning of the street you can visit a great tourist information and in the middle of the street is a museum of champagne, where you can enhance your champagne knowledge even more 🏛😊👍

Av. de Champgane is a short street that can be easily walked. There are several interesting places in the street. Visiting the cellars requires reservation! However tastings can be done spontaneously. The museum at Chatteau Perrier is really interesting. You could easily spend hours in the museum learning about champagne and how it is done!

I was drawn to this house of Champagne thanks to the colorful Tower. I took the tour of caves + tower. The tower could start earlier, I was the only one in the group. Enzo, the guide, introduced the history of de Castellane. Fun fact, the tower used to be a "Chateau D'eau" made by the same architect as the one who built Gare de Lyon. The best part of the Tower is sight from the top. The "caves" part was guided by Steffi, a Dutch born guide. This part of the tour is more focused on the factory and Riddling(rotation of bottle). Finally the caves are not as deep as other houses. It is at least 1km long. Of course, no Champagne tour can end without Champagne tasting. Everyone go theirs.

Amazing visit! We booked the private Heritage tour and could not recommend it more. The guide (Steffi) was super friendly and shared such good stories. We learned about the family, went to the super interesting labeling room, we wanted to see the cellar and it was not a problem. The champagne was great and we could taste it in the beautiful room and/ or the terrace. 5/5!

We enjoyed this very affordable but very informative guided tour a lot. You get to see the whole production process and line from the beginning all the way until the disgorgement, labelling and packaging. Great value for money.

The wine tour is quite disappointing. The winery is quite tacky and not particularly historical. It appears that it is used for modern production in terms of the machinery present, but majority of the processes are off site, so you also do not see that process. The cellars are interesting but nothing in particular compared to others. The real issue was that the tour guide was unable to speak english to a level to reply to question, and the whole explanation was overall unclear, and she kept repeating the same things. The most interesting part of the winery is the exterior of the building, so save your money and just look at it from the outside.

Paid 30 euros for the tour, 2 tasting and to go up the tower. Stephanie who led the tour was amazing, she kept the tour interesting and engaging, going into a good amount of detail with the opportunity to ask further questions. The tour was such great value for money and the tower is definitely worth a visit as well!

Dead champagne factory. They show you the whole building with machines that are not in use any more. Vibes are off. Needs renovations. Negative brand experience to be honest. I would gladly help to improve this place.

A wonderful Tourist Information Office. Staff were beary nice and helpful 😃👍 There were shelf meters of great information about champagne, wine and tasting as well as attractions nearby and activities. Located right on the Avenue de Champagne, where all the famous champagne brands are lined up. A really nice first impression of the town 😊👍 Btw, also had a great selection of postcards and not even overpriced regarding the location 🏷👌

Épernay, the capital of Champagne: a magnificent flower-filled city, with many green spaces, prestigious champagne houses, tasting bars ... The tourist office offers rental bicycles as well as electric cars. It's worth the detour.

A couple recommended this place to us and I'm so glad they did. This was top quality champagne. The tasting was only 14 euro for two glasses, and it was well worth it. If you go to Epernay and the Avenue de Champagne you MUST come here.

On this day we visited 4 champagne houses and as a WSET graduate I know this: the 2 champagnes that we tasted in this marvellous place where the best! We bought two bottles looking forward to opening them! What a modest, first generation winemaker, he poured the champagne and answered all my questions! Highly recommended!

I hope I caught them on a bad day but our tasting was about a half a glass of champagne (split in two tastings) and little conversation in comparison to the rest of the houses we tried among the avenue. I wouldn’t recommend due to the high price. The champagne was good but it was quite the turn off due to atmosphere and amount of champagne to taste

We visited Leclerc Briant, Moet & Chandon, Gosset, Elodie D, Perrier & Joet, and this champagne house and the champagne at this house was our favorite hands down. We ended up buying a second tasting and two bottles. We wish they sold their champagne in the United States, since they have some of our favorite champagne we've ever tasted.

The tasting was €14, which included a small taste (approximately 1 ounce or 3 CL) of two Champagnes. There were no other visitors at this house during our visit. The tasting was guided by the house’s owner (a very nice gentleman) who talked about each champagne for 20-30 seconds before serving it (type of grapes, flavor profile, years aged, etc). The tasting room did not have chairs, and was standing room only. There was no tour of the house and a restroom was not available. From start to finish, the visit was less than 10 minutes. Pros: - Excellent champagne & the bottles are reasonably priced (starting at €30). - The tasting is hosted by the owner, who actually lives upstairs at the Champagne house — very authentic. Cons: - The champagne pours were very small, the smallest of any of the 6 houses we visited in Epernay & Reims. - While meeting the owner was neat, the visit was otherwise short & impersonal. - As the tasting room was small and without seats, it felt awkward to have private conversations (with the owner present). Further, as the pours were truly tastes and not full glasses, it was two sips and done. No opportunity to relax and enjoy the experience. Overall conclusion: Buy a bottle to-go or have a glass at a restaurant, but skip the visit. As I had read so many positive reviews online, I was very disappointed. Spend a few more Euros and enjoy a longer experience as another house.

Spent 150 euros drinking champagne on place with a few friends but they won't let my pregnant wife use the bathroom because "it's a private house". Shame on you.

A small nice champagne house on Avenue de Champagne. We started our 3 days trip with one glass of Divine St Germain on their sunny terrace. We couldn't do better...the moment you start right away, you set a standard for the next few days. After a few days of tasting champagne we realized you must skip the commercial tastings of the big houses. Nice to see and explore, but you have so much more value for money when you taste the Divine St Germain and Sublime St Germain. We have also experienced this at other small champagne houses in the area( for example Bouzy & Cumieres). The owners are very friendly and they speak English.

Smallest champagne house on Avenue de Champagne, but one of the best! It’s family run which allows for an excellent and personal visit with some of our favorite champagne in Épernay! They use only the best grapes from their family vineyards and you’ll be able to tell everything is of the highest quality! Definitely a house to stop at!

Terrible rude welcome by the 2 ladies working here, unpleasant and poor service. They shouldn’t be interacting with customers. The seating outside was nice and the Champagne and bread were good.

We wanted to share their three-glass tasting menu (before buying boxes to take home) amongst 3 adults as we still had to drive. The lady at the bar rudely told us off and refused to meet our simple demand. I have experienced numerous tastings with friendly and knowledgeable staff all around Epernay on many occasions so this was a real disappointment.

My visit to Champagne Pierre Domi was far and away the tourism highlight of my trip to Paris. I was with a small group tour of 8 people which was the perfect size for interacting with our guide. This "petite maison" is family owned and run and, unlike the name brand champagnes like Moet, they oversee the entire production from the growing to the bottling. Our tour was conducted by the great granddaughter of Domi's founder, which only added to the magic of the entire experience. She was both knowledgeable and charming and, unlike most tours where one has the tendency to drift off, I paid attention for most of it (and learned a lot about Champagne in the process!). After the walking tour of the cellar and production areas, our group sampled several of Domi's offerings. Of course, ALL of the samples were excellent! It is clear that the family deeply cares about their product. Champagne Pierre Domi does not export to the U.S., so I bought several bottles to take home. I cannot recommend Champagne Pierre Domi enough.

Small family-owned vineyard with some of the BEST champagne I’ve ever tasted. Sadly, they don’t ship, or I would have bought several cases! Their Coeur de Rose and Blanc de blanc are fabulous.

We were a group of younger people and had the feeling we were not very welcome. Champagne itself was good and reasonably priced, however, we were told twice "we already had tasted this one" while this was not true. Indicating he did not want to serve us or thought we would not even notice it was a different one (or he made an honest mistake.. twice). Probably assumed we were there to take advantage of the free tasting, because we were so young (we bought a very reasonable amount anyway, so this was not the case). Out of all the visits to champagne cultivators during our trip to Epernay, this was the most underwhelming one of them all. Not friendly, did not feel welcome and almost no explanation with the servings. Other people were treated much nicer, almost felt like "ageism". I can definitely believe the other reviews, which are all quite positive, but please treat all your guests the same. Not visiting this one in the future anymore even though I like the taste.

Absolutely lovely. My friend and I had a private tour of the wine cellars and private champagne tasting with Valerie. She was so helpful and answered all our questions about their Champagne and methods. The tasting was great. We bought 7 bottles and a champagne stopper. Small family business, I recommend supporting their beautiful traditional champagnes by visiting and buying loads! They don't export!

Very friendly owner, who gives an excellent and interesting tour free of charge. We bought a case of champagne and several glasses as a memory. This is a smaller producer of champagne, but nevertheless excellent. Very reasonably priced too. Would visit again. Only suggestion for improvement would be a tour of the vineyards, perhaps at a small fee, since that would be time consuming. The tour is currently in french, but the owner's english is actually very good too.

That's is a family producer of champagne and very friendly. During the tour guide, the owner explains all the process of making champagne. At the end of tour guide, we had a very nice tasting with differents kinds of champagne. I found the champagne quality est very good. The tasting is completly free and if you wish to buy, their prices is very cheap.

I booked a visit with the owner by e-mail in french asking if could visit that day. He kindly wrote straight back welcoming us to visit. I had read the reviews on trip adviser and it seemed a lovely small place to visit. We arrived with our camping car and golden retriever and he was very welcoming. We had a lovely tour with the owner in french with a little English. This was no problem for me and I translated for my husband. The owner knew a fair amount of English too. He explained about the grapes, the process of pressing the grapes and showed us the cellars where the wine is stored. We ended about 40 minutes later tasting a few champagnes. A very nice tour with awesome staff. We have booked for a tour with a 7 tastes. It was very interesting to taste not only George Cartier champagnes but the others from small producers that are served in the place. Sincd this is a smaller cave, we can feel more confy.

A well conducted tour followed a very informative video on the history of champagne. At the end of the tour there were tastings and an excellent bottle shop that carried a range of many smaller vineyards who would otherwise be unavailable to visitors. Well worth your time and money!

We received a warm welcome and had a great time. We were allowed to bring our dogs, took the tour and tasted many beautiful champagnes. The team had excellent knowledge and were happy to spend time with us. We couldn't be happier with our visit.

We arrived too late for the tour, but in compensation, we sampled a flight of Champagne at the bar / gif shop. We had a range of styles, including a rosé, ordered according to increasing fruitiness. The bartender was amply knowledgeable about the champagnes we tried, as well as more general knowledge of the regional offerings. As an added bonus, the price was a very reasonable €15 for the flight of 7 cl per glass.

The place is ok, got wide rouge of selection but I find them dishonest when it come to paying. Bought a bottle, she charged me more then what the price show, told me I can only get the special price when I buy 6 of them. But it didn’t state anywhere when all the other wine show the single price and the price for 6. And gave me much less change. Then checked another retailes are selling it for the cheaper price. It’s not a lot of money but it’s about integrity and honesty.

Great tour at Charles Mignon. Our tour guide was friendly, personable and informative. Compared to the tours at some of the bigger Champagne houses (Lanson, Taittinger, etc.), this tour was more personal and one of my favorites. The right blend of explaining the grapes & terroirs, the fermentation & bottling, and the house history. The cellars/caves for this house are smaller than the big named houses, but you still get the feel (but without all the stairs, which is a plus for people with mobility issues). While the tour included two glasses of Champagne, you choose from four different Champagnes — if you have a friend or family with you, they recommend sharing so you could taste all four. The glasses were full pours and tasted excellent — for €18, a great value. Plus, the bottles to take home started at €23, which is more affordable than at some of the bigger houses, but without sacrificing quality. After numerous tours in Epernay & Reims, I would recommend Charles Mignon (for a medium sized house) & Veuve (for a larger house).

We had the English speaking tour with Marie. She was very knowledgeable, patient and kind. Each tasting occurred on a new location on the estate. A grand cuvée of teaching about history and wine. Highly recommended.

Family-owned wine house with ties to French aristocracy that drives both the Château's name and their approach to wine. For example, even though we were in Champagne, we received a whole education over our tasting about the Loire region and learned about Napoleon's love of their Pouilly Fumé. The champagne was delicious and they offered a wide variety of styles, including the fabulous 19 gram dosage Nectar. The beautiful house on the property originally belonged to Mr. Mercier (of the champagne house) and is not part of the tour, but it's really interesting to see. Highly recommend a visit and to take your time and enjoy. Also very reasonably priced!

This was my introduction to the world of champagne and boy did it not disappoint! The English-speaking guide was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and quite patient with our six-person group. The 90-minute tour is well worth the price of admission; my only complaint is I wanted to explore more of the chateau! There is plenty of on-site parking to boot.

We tried 4 champagnes here. Really wonderful and such a pleasure. Friendly staff. They also make wine. A newer champagne house but worth the visit. Indoors is a bit dated and could use some updates but overall very nice atmosphere. We loved the extra dry and the nectar.

We attended a sabrage tasting in August 2019 and it was an absolutely magnificent experience. We were taught in the cellar how to sabrage open a bottle of champagne, which was an incredible experience in itself, but we have since used this "trick" at plenty of parties, taught some friends, and even sabraged a bottle of champagne at our wedding - all thanks to Comtesse Lafond. The rest of the tour was wonderful - we were so well looked after, with fabulous champagne, and great hors d'oeurves. The grounds are absolutely spectacular, and the mansion is beautiful and exquisitely decorated. It was a fantastic experience, we would highly recommend!

This castle has a lovely garden terrace and offers a champagne tasting with three different vintages. The service is very friendly and personalised, and fitted perfectly to the chateau‘s magical atmosphere. The service was very interactive and the lady who served us also told us about the history of the castle and really took time to introduce us to their champagne. It felt like a private tasting, not like other champagne makers in the region. Reservation in advance is recommended.

A quiet, out the way, little champagne house. We didn't do a tour - just tasting - and Paul was fantastic! He was very informative about the champagne, happy to make recommendations and just so friendly. We also loved the dogs (every champagne house should have dogs!) And would highly recommend to all.

This place is a hidden gem! My family came for a tasting of two champagnes, and we were the only people there for the full hour we were there. We sat outside on their sweeping, gorgeous lawn which is used as a wedding venue, and the server brought us the champagnes to try at our table. She was extremely knowledgable and told us about the unique history of the property and brand. It felt like a private tasting experience, but it was priced as a general tasting! I highly recommend it, especially on a nice day.

Came yesterday and was our favourite champagne house of all! The young man who did our tasting was very informative and helpful, and there was a great choice of champagnes to choose from! We loved the Blanc de Blancs so we bought a bottle and at the end of the day decided to come back and get another one! The place is also beautiful. Thank you for our wine tasting!!

Traveled through the Champagne region of France on my honeymoon. We made reservations for a Champagne tour and lunch. The Champagne was superb, the food was delicious, and our host was amazing. Being from the USA we didn’t know much French, but our host was very understanding and was able to explain everything to us in English, which enhanced our experience. The decor was amazing and the cellar was a fabulous place to enjoy lunch with my new wife. If you’re traveling through the Region make this a stop on your trip.

The Chopin champagnerie was recommended to us at another tasting. We were not disappointed and tested a few nice champagnes here. Definitely recommend this place

So lovely we came here twice during our four days in Épernay! The staff both times were very kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We enjoyed the champagnes in the garden space and it was perfect. We had a magical experience staying in the Villa and tasting their products. Accommodation has old world luxury and romantic vibe, with impeccable service. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was perfect choice. Michael Gonet champagnes are something not to be missed and my recommendation is Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Mesnil Sur Oger. Location is ideal for walking all around Eparnay and driving around countryside.

Super nice. tastings are priced okay and the waitresses are super friendly. Rather do this than the very famous names. Better reserve upfront, but walk-ins are possible. (tip for the owners: put a sign out front when no walk ins are possible anymore)

Very nice Maison at the beginning of the avenue de champagne. Great value for your money. I can definitely recommend the tasting. The Zero Dosage is worth trying. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can visit the ground floor of the Maison and relax in the beautiful garden with a glas of their champagne.

One of the best champagne houses. The 2009 was amazing and so was the cheese platter and the welcoming people that did the tasting. The champagne is something else. Pleasant surprises and a total different taste. if you don’t like the taste of champagne you have not tried this house. Cause it will make you fall in love with it :)

Lovely chateau with wonderfully friendly staff. The room had a great view, especially at night. The real bonus was the champagne provided in the library every night for guests. Though the breakfast and atmosphere were top notch too.

We did “Blind tasting experience” - highly recommended!! Our host was Lilly - she shared lots of knowledge, passion and love for the champagne. I would recommend allowing at least 2 hours to fully enjoy the experience. Much nicer place than other, more commercial brands on the Avenue.

A great tour to learn about the champagne making process. I highly recommend starting your day here. The cellar is incredible.

Beautiful place but not the best experience when going with children. We were repeatedly asked to go to a next room or walk away with our three year old. He must have been too distracting to the guide. Would not recommend taking children here even though you let them know beforehand that a child will be joining and they are supposedly child friendly. Our toddler was not even close to an issue at any of the other houses though. Might be something to work on.

I was only to able to get in three tours in my short time in Champagne and this was by far the best. The history is amazing, in the area in general though, not just here. I liked the caves the best so that is likely swaying my opinion

Great experience and great champagne! The visit and tasting with Leyre was truly wonderful, we will come back! They also have a champagne bar if you want to try their other champagnes, so 10/10.

A more modern house to start the tour was a nice change of pace from other locations, but then transitioned into the more traditional cellars to which folks are accustomed. The tasting room had a lovely, intimate feel in which we were able to chat with other visitors and ask questions of our guide. Juice (a touch expensive at 7€) and coloring activities for the kids made this a great stop for families!

A fantastic tour and wonderful champagne! The tour was the perfect length and the volume of information ideal - not too much, but enough (and you are encouraged to ask anything else you want to know). You explore part of the production areas and wonderful caves, before enjoying your selected tasting. Our host was exceptional. Happy to recommend this any day!

Early June 2023 we embarked on a sunny Sunday a captivating 1.5 hour Champagne château tour at Boizel (30 min the tasting), located on the famous Av. de Champagne, with free parking on site. We had the opportunity to witness the intricate process of champagne production and indulge in a delightful tasting experience for a total of EUR 80 per person. This tour was a beautiful experience and professionally handled by our knowledgeable and passionate guide leaving us with a newfound appreciation for the artistry behind champagne making. The atmosphere in the caves is just amazing and like the temperature for a good glass of champagne the underground part of the tour was quite cold: prepare better than us to avoid freezing 😊 We bought some bottles afterwards as a memory. Whether you are a champagne connoisseur or simply an admirer of the finer things in life, this tour is a must-do.

Great Champagne house tour. Found this tour through a general champagne tour website and it had vacancies at 10am. The young lady was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The tour was not rushed and allowed plenty of time for questions and photos. We chose the cheaper tour which only changed the Champagne you got to try. Had the Boizle Brut Reserve which I quite liked and the Rose. Will now look out for this company's Champagne in restaurants back in Australia.

We visited the cellar last week with friends. We booked the first visit at 10am and were in a very small group of 8 persons in total. We enjoyed the visit with a lot a interesting explanations and a wonderful tasting at the end. Our Guide, Ines, was really great and made the visit really great!! We recommend taking the “Joyau de France” tour. It is definitely worth the 20€ difference, since you’ll get to try exceptional champagne much more different from the classic ones you might already know or tasted earlier during your champagne trip.

Visited here in July 2023. Great experience and great champagne. Will definitely go back. We’ve experienced several tours in Epernay, and this one didn’t disappoint. Relatively intimate and not difficult to walk around either for my parents of 70 years old. 41 steps back up from the cellar my mother counted !!

We had such a wonderful experience here! We went there to have a lunch for my birthday, yes it was expensive, but SO worth it! I would do it again in a heartbeat! Vincent was wonderful! But honestly, everyone was (I’m just terrible with names and French isn’t my mother tongue). If you can splurge, definitely visit!

Beautiful house, filled with art works around Perrier Jouet champagne. We had some cocktails which were nice albeit slightly pricey. Perrier Jouet is a safe choice for good champagne, in a beautiful bottle.

Very classy tasting venue for a world-class champagne brand. Probably had the best glass of champagne (the Perrier Jouet blanc de blanc) here during a trip to the regio. Wow...amazing venue ..felt very special sitting in their beautiful garden. Not only was the champagne spectacular but probably the greatest chicken Caesar I have ever had anywhere in the world...so so good and relaxing a must visit if you are in Epernay..
