Wonderfully kept church and graveyard in the heart of San Candido. The light inside the church is magnificent. The graves are with so much dedication and care kept, with beautiful flowers and plants for the deceased and the metal crosses are unique in this kind. You can really feel the love left behind.

I discovered impressive traditional art! We visited for Christmas. It was festive, warm and the staff was really friendly. It's an extraordinary experience especially for families. The chidren's playground has a treasure finding play rarely found at any other place and childrean really love it! I recommend visiting the museum. It's worth it!

Speaking about three peaks of Lavaredo. What can I say, to visit at least once in a lifetime. You can get to the foot of the peaks by car by paying a not too expensive ticket, park at the foot of the first refuge and set off for the peaks. There is a very comfortable ring route lasting about 3 hours (I seem to remember) that will allow you to see them from every direction and above all to photograph them at their best. I highly recommend an off route, east side of the peaks (having them in front of you). Quite steep and a bit dangerous, it will take you to an old war bunker dug into the rock, still with the old trenches and plaque at the entrance. You will have a spectacular view of the peaks (see photo). Pay attention to where you put your feet, you could run into the now very rare cases dating back to the old world clashes !! 💥

A nice spot to come by if you are on your way to trei scarperi and tre cime from San Candido. Some sheeps are grazing in the middle of the ruins, making a qyite intringing place. A chapel is near, making it a nice place to rest and to take shelter in case of thunder.

This place is small and located in the busy part of the village. Parkings were free but very limited and the whole town doesn’t have much parkings either. There were 2 old churches and a museum close by with walking distance. The front desk ladies were very helpful and nice. They explained and gave recommendations to us patiently. Also the name: tre cime refers to the famous summit which is quite far away from this ski resort. They named it tre cone but in fact you need to have good equipment to spot tre cime from this ski resort. Overall i give 5 stars as scenery is breathtaking, it’s not crowded and you can really have fun for max 1day in this resort

Dopo varie vicende storiche la chiesa e il monastero passarono all’Ordine Salesiano dei Sacri Cuori fondato dal sacerdote Filippo Smaldone apostolo dei ciechi e dei sordomuti, che nel 1885 aprì per loro il primo Istituto a Lecce. Qui si dedicò alla cura dei sordomuti e dei ciechi con umana bontà e profondo impegno cristiano. La sua opera, oltre a Lecce, si estese anche a Bari, ed a tutt’oggi è ancora fervente sul territorio. Dopo la sua santificazione, la chiesa delle Carmelitane scalze è divenuta Santuario San Filippo Smaldone e   ogni giorno resta aperta dalle suore che venerano il SS. Sacramento   e il corpo del Santo esposto sull’altare in una teca. Nel secondo piano del Convento, nelle antiche stanze vissute da San Filippo, è stato allestito un museo che conserva pregevoli manufatti, arredi ed oggetti  legati alla vita del Santo e al Convento delle Carmelitane scalze.
