One of the best canyons I've been visiting since there are hundreds of pool you can swim at and if you walk along the river you find an empty one only for you. Paths are of course exhausting and rocky, so get some proper shoes for the hike. The middle part of the hike is close, though we took it anyway. It's quite narrow and the nature takes it back but is possible. Nature is just incredible and it's a tropical paradise within the heated sun. Parking is 5 Euro on someone private property, but you can also just park somewhere next to the streets.

A bit of a tough climb down to the pools and back, but it comes with spectacular views and a really refreshing swim. Make sure to bring good shoes.

Excellent nature canyon with fresh cold water and beautiful lagoons. The hike from parking (we stayed on the main road) is about 15min to entry Station where you have to register and than about 25min steep downhill. The way up took us about 30mins. Good shoes recommended 😉

Amazing place to visit. You stop at a restaurant on the top of the cliff, there are toilets and showers. The parking price is 3€ for the whole day. Beware that the trip to the river is a bit long it takes 45min - 60min to go down on a dusty rocky road which ends with rock stairs. You will find a wonderful natural pond. Reserve at least 3-4 hours for the place to experience it fully.

Gorgeous and somewhat secluded beach. We came on a Tuesday during the first week of August and there were only a few people around, which is what we prefer. The bar was fully staffed and dinning area very clean and tidy. Great service from the staff too. The menu for lunch was a bit limited but the food was excellent. We had a plate of grilled fish of the day and it was cooked perfectly. I like a lot of lime for my seafood and my plate was given almost two limes :) There is a designated parking lot for the lido, there was no fee but not sure about the weekend when beaches get busy.

One of the worst experience ever, aggressive and violent. Our idea was to swim a bit and then have lunch (we came with two Italian friends that knew the place). I highly recommend getting the board which is €10 for two people, and amazing, with a variety of different local nibbles however I feel for a man I could easily have one board to myself. The board paired with the rosé was my highlight. If you get bored or are more interested in wine than viewing their production shed I’d go with the tasting plus the nibbles board.

We had a great time at Tenuta Palmeri, Fabianna gave us a great tour of the vineyard and winery. So much to learn about the winemaking process and their drive to sustainable processes. Followed by a wine tasting and tasting board. Be warned the tasting boards are really generous and their olive oil and tomatoes are delicious. The wine is amazing with so many to choose from - what a great place !

We had a very enjoyable time here tasting the wine and having a tour of the winery. The host, Corrado, was very kind and helpful, particularly with our small baby. The wine and accompanying small plates were very delicious. Our little one enjoyed meeting the resident cats and dogs too! Booked into a wine tasting via their website which was easy and I got a quick response. We opted for the 5 wine plus cheese platter but half way through changed to the 3 wines as the serves of wine were almost full glasses! Able to choose what wines we wanted to taste off their big list. The host was very informative and service was great. Sat on the deck overlooking the vines. Only thing may be some music and ceiling fans for a bit more comfort. Would recommend a visit especially for the barrel aged Chardonnay.

We had a fantastic experience at this winery, tried some wines and had delicious local food. We were showed the premises and were very fortunate to get to try some wine straight from the tank. Highly recommended! We called them earlier the same day to “book” our visit, so at the moment it doesn’t seem like you need to book far in advance.

Nice winery with friendly dogs and a guest house with a pool: we came for a wine tasting that we booked via their website for 80 euro (two people) and 10 euro for a board of snacks: we got 3 glasses of wine (shades of nero d avola) which was only one of many grapes they use, we also got snacks (tagliere) made in the cantina. The wines were very average and the présentation was lacking experience and authenticity, the winery is owend by a swiss person that sells this wine mainly in Switzerland, they dont sell in italy much, the experience was desapointing i dont recommend it if you want a local authentic winery experience. During our stay in Avola, we visited this lovely vineyard for a tour and tasting. Fabiana guided us through the domain and explained the different steps of the processes with great passion. The wines themselves are wonderful, especially when tasted with their other products such as cheeses, bread with olive oil and almonds. A big plus was the presence of the lovely cats and dogs on the terrace of this lovely place. If you can't take wine with you in your luggage back home, they also offer the opportunity to ship wines all over Europe. Thank you so much!

Lovely winery in Noto. We enjoyed the 4 wines paired with a charcuterie board, and another perk was that each person could pick their own 4 glasses. My favorite was the sparkling rose, while others preferred the still rose. The scenery is stunning, staff is welcoming and friendly, and we really enjoyed our winery tour at the end of our visit where we could see where the production and storage of the wines occured. We also met the owner who sells toothbrushes, which you receive at the end of the tour, and he was a personable, passionate, and friendly guy. This is a must go destination when in Noto!

We visited today without any booking since it was a last minute decision but in the end it turned to be a very pleasant one. Antonella welcomed us without hesitation and made our visit one to remember. She explained to us all about the degustation, with a home made platter paired with wines from the estate. Really good wine tasting experience with the friendly Corrado and his welcoming family. We visited 3 vineyards in the area and this was definately the best one. If we are around we will definately come back, we will recommend everyone to go there.

Located close to the sea and in the middle of a big park with a really nice, shaded playground area. Entry fee is 2€, there's a guide. The museum is small (only two rooms) but full of interesting equipment and objects used for producing and harvesting almonds and other fruits in the area. We could try and open almonds with the local tool (not that easy!). Friendly staff, but they couldn't find the remote control for the tv so we couldn't watch the presentation about the museum and almond cultivation unfortunately. It's a shame there's no possibility to buy almonds or related products, souvenirs here.
