What a great day. Staff are amazing tram was great fun. Well worth the £35 for a family. Ride the teams as much as you like. We stopped for lunch and a pint before heading back on the tram for the return journey. Nice simple play park for the kids at the end and a good old fashioned shop.

Interesting attraction, the driver provided a good amount of information. The journey would be more pleasant with warmer weather, or on the more closed carriage. Important notice: the trams differ and sometimes it is better to wait a little and choose the carriage which would fit you better.

We went in the morning, it was the best timing to see beautiful coloured birds like pheasant, wild geese... It was a great family trip. Friendly staff, they stop and they give a short summary... At the end of the "line" while waiting for the tram to take you back, you can take a walk to the village or do some shopping at the gift shops & antique shop or have a bait at the coffee shop. They serve from scones to fish cakes...coffee or tea with local cow's milk. There is a small play ground/area for kids.

We had so much fun😊 the tramway line goes through a beautiful area of Wetlands and River Axe, you can hop on and off few stops with Explorer ticket. Would highly recommend 👍

We spent a lovely few hours here, riding the tram both ways and a little explore along the way. Would love to return in the summer when it's warmer to explore the wetlands. Dog friendly.

I didn't really know what to expect here at Seaton tramway. And was very pleasantly surprise that it is a really good place to visit. We started at the Seaton terminal and it looks very new. In the terminal you have a massive webcam which the said showed our tram coming down and gave you a good idea of what to expect. The trams are old and have history behind them which can be found in various locations. The tram ride took about 25-30 one direction and is very picturesque going alongside the wetlands and river. You stop at a few locations and the drivers give you some info about what is happening. Some new stations are being built to add more to the journey so you can stop to have a picnic or visit the wetland. There are two stops currently, one for a little village and the last stop which looks like an old station completely done up with a cafe, shop, toilets and an info area, must not also forget the play park for the young ones. The staff made this place as they all seemed so happy to be doing what they were and more than happy to talk to you, provide info and generally be great. There is a selection of different trams to ride on and most are double deckers and you get great views from the top deck. One piece of advice tho take a jumper even on a warm day as that wind can be chilly.

So cute definitely worth a visit, we contributed to the donation too. Couldn’t get over how small and cute the trams were. Shame Colyton didn’t have more to offer, but worth visiting merchants tea room, but careful they stop searching after 230pm. We didn’t get time to visit all the stops but you could do that. A treasure hunt for kids would go down a treat, especially getting off at each stop to explore - and installing cafe on these sites would bring in some great income x

Super vintage tramway! Nostalgic if you can remember trams and if not a great way to experience another method of travel. You can get off at the stops and visit the bird hides on the wetland if you are keen on birdwatching. Suitable if you are disabled as they have adapted spaces. Very nice and knowledgeable staff and a lovely tearoom and shop at the end of your journey.

As you enter the main Seaton Tramway terminal you will find the ticket booth Cafe and gift shop all in one.......... Here you can get something to eat and drink but a souvenir and purchase your tickets for your tram trip.......Then with the trams running every twenty minutes, you don't have to write long to enjoy your ride.......The trip takes you along the river side,with lovely views and there is plenty of wildlife to be seen......If you get the explorer tickets you can get off at any point and rejoin the tram as and when they come along..... All in all a great experience for all the families......👍

A brilliant day out on the trams. My two young kids loved it. I just wish we'd had more time to explore some of the stops. Staff are really helpful and friendly.

Great trip on the number 11, sat on the open top (even through the rain!) Saw some beautiful birds, deer, rabbits and a badger!! Stopped for breakfast at Colyton station and then walked into the town. Will defo go again in late spring to see different birds 🐦

We took the family for a trip along Seaton tramway, leaving Colyton Station, booking a return trip. Our party consisted of 6 adults, one with a scooter plus a 4 year old. First the bad bits, I’m 6’4 and these trams are not built for the taller gentlemen! However this is my own curse in life and can not hold this against the Tramways! The plus points….all representatives of the tramway were so friendly and accommodating, helping load and unload the scooter (big bonus for disabled accessibility) they were very knowledgeable aswell. The journey is around 30mins each way if you choose not to stop at way points with the option to sit upstairs and admire the views if the weather is kind to you, or to sit in the lower deck of the tram and keep dry. The cafe and shop are very welcoming and well priced so that whichever way you wish to complete your journey you will have things to do at either end of the line. A great experience for the day with the family!

Very Interesting. The train driver was excellent telling us about the history of the trams and where they came from originally being born in London and am only living now 20 miles from Bournemouth was so good to know. Although it was windy and a bit of drizzle it was still a good deal. We'll done to all that work there and in the cafes.

This was an amazing experience. The Tramways are so cute. The scenery is fantastic. The best way of doing this is to buy the ticket that allows you to hop on and hop off. This way, you can see the little villages and explore nature.. I would definitely do this again!

Expensive, obviously to keep it running but worth it for a lovely ride. At the end of the line we stopped for drink and cake before heading back. The food menu looked great too. Tram drivers were friendly & knowledgeable. Scenic journey with lots of birds to look out for en route. Enjoyable trip.

We visited Seaton tramway for their Christmas Polar express experience. We had a large group of 5 children and 7 adults. From booking the tickets to the moment we left the whole experience was fantastic. We had a few questions around changing our booking, new baby to add to the booking etc, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. On the day we had a short wait upon arriving before the experience started, and from the get go everyone was thoroughly entertained. The whole experience was immersive, all the characters were entertaining and even my 12 year old non believer had a great time. I thoroughly recommend, although definitely book early as tickets get snapped up quickly!

A fabulous attraction and experience, with a beautifully built “station” in the heart of town, and the trams are all different which makes them a joy to watch and ride on. Every single person was smiling and exclaiming - if an attraction like this can bring a smile to everyone’s faces, it’s worth it. The track takes you through countryside you wouldn’t otherwise see, and it’s rather lovely. Spotting birds like egrets, buzzards etc is fun even if you don’t know them all. The stops are well worth getting off for a little amble around, but the jewel in the crown is the buffet at the end of the line. Lovely fresh food, masses of it and it’s all so pretty with fresh flowers. A real joy and a lovely way to spend the day.

Pecorama would have easily been 5 stars until we went to other places that offer way better value, but I guess value is in the eye of the beholder. You pay the £48 for 4 people to get in and that gets you one train ride, entry to the whole site including museum, gardens, play area. The problem here is that it then costs you £3 per person to ride again on the train which if you want to go a few times makes it very expensive. Now I love trains and thoroughly enjoyed the 15 minute train trips and the staff/drivers were great. You go through the tunnel, stations and some great scenery while winding around the gardens on a very comfortable train. The kids spent ages in the play parks and the picnic tables are in a great location to be able to see them while chilling out. The museum was great and had quite a few layouts to enjoy and look at and to take home some ideas. The peco shop was disappointingly small and didn't have a wide variety of stuff, a missed opportunity as most people who visit would want to take something home. The shop at the entrance had some random bits in it but again nothing special. We enjoyed the gardens for a small amount of time, and if you like walking you can venture quite far.

Set in a picturesque location on the hillside, the well landscaped grounds are a pleasure to walk around. The train ride on the Beer Heights Miniature Railway is of a decent length (felt a bit slower than others) with very friendly & passionate staff. The exhibition is well laid out. However, items in the shop are more highly priced than elsewhere, even Peco products!

We had a lovely time there today, two big kids and 6months old! Enjoyed the train and the very well kept gardens also great play areas for the children and then went to see the model railway layouts

Brilliant day out with our children and grandchildren at Pecorama today. Our granddaughter is 4 and she loved playing with the other children in the outdoor play park. There is also a smaller indoor area with a Brio railway. The train ride is the highlight of the day. The steam hauled train winds round the park through a tunnel to reveal some marvellous views over Beer and the sea with Portland in the distance. The railway was originally opened by Mrs Awdry in July 1975. We also visited the exhibition area which has a good selection of displays in different sizes. There are good ideas for loft, garage or even hallway displays. The shop here is well stocked for the model railway enthusiast and the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. For the model railway enthusiast the 10 percent discount on the annual pass is well worth the money. Overall a great day out.

Very good here, great little train ride to kick things off then parks to play in for the kids, exhibition area shop little cafe area and nice gardens too. Five adults and two four year olds loved it. All facilities clean and tidy.

We had a lovely visit to Pecorama in the October half term. A train ride is included in the price. Our 4 year old loved spotting the moles on route. We also enjoyed the mini golf (but that does cost extra - £3 per person). A nice range of play equipment. There is a nice train exhibition next door. Very easy to walk into Beer from the car park (about 10mins but steep). Only downside was the eating areas - would be nice to have some indoor or covered areas for picnics.

Visited today, absolutely brilliant day. Staff were excellent, asked my boy, who is a too cool 12 year old to help out and to my surprise he helped uncouple the trains and turn an engine and then got to do it again later, staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Plenty of stuff to be doing, lots of hills!! Good day out. Thank you

Had too much fun enjoying the day to actually take any photos of the trains. We had two rides of Claudine, then walked up to the park. We sat down and had cream tea which was lovely, and also sampled the sausage rolls and cornish pasties (both were lovely). We enjoyed walking around the miniature layouts and especially liked the Spanish themed display which went from day to night. A really lovely day and good value for money.

Plenty to do here besides ride the light railway and see the interactive model railways. There are walks, play areas, well-maintained crazy golf, ping-pong; giant connect4; beanbag toss and Mölkky in the pavilion tent, landscaped gardens and a café that serves a limited hot menu.

Great place to spend a couple of hours. Very family friendly. Nice well kept gardens with 2 decent cafes. Make sure to ride the miniature railway which is lovely. Interesting exhibition and shop selling Peco products. Staff are excellent and rightly proud of the place. Hidden gem in Beer Devon.

Had a fab day with the family. Boys loved the train ride, we loved the garden's a lot of work went into planting the flowers.crazy golf at the end. Plus an extra ride on train for £3.00 each. All left tired and happy.👍🏻👍🏻

A great place to take the grandchildren. Friendly staff and lots for the kids to do as well as the steam trains. The gardens looked well maintained, obviously a lot of time spent there. Yes, we had a great day and having Larry Grayson as the station manager was the icing on the cake.

Our son loved it and we have enjoyed our day. Beautiful gardens. I would just recommend to take some food with you as there is not much choice to buy.

It’s deep, dark, dank and downright cold but also a must place to visit if near Beer. The quarry closed in the 1920s but it’s hand crafted vastness needs to be seen to be believed. You need to book in advance onto one of the tours which each last an hour and are led by a guide who gives an insight into how it was mined and the lives of those who did it. You will need to bring a warm woolly jumper or coat as it’s a rather cool 7-8 degrees (C) even in summer. We had Mike as our tour guide who did a good job of entertaining but also informing. There is also a cafe offering what smelt like amazing sausages and bacon.

A really informative tour of stunning caves. Travelling through time from the Romans to modern day. Saw a bat too which was an added surprise. The tour guide Gill was really good and knew so many good stories about the caves and the history. Would recommend a visit but dress warm and wear wellies.

This tour was great, at first you think oh it’s just a small cave. Then the tour guide turns a corner with his torch and you’re lead deeper underground through a mysterious link of cold dug-out tunnels.. it’s eerie, spine tingling yet very interesting! Nearly 2.5 hours of exploring with safety gear, a great guide full of knowledge and stories.. I would recommend anyone to check out this spontaneous moment of history. 👷🏼‍♀️🔦 be sure to take a coat though 😊

Very interesting place. Mike our tour guide was very informative and i learned some new things about the origin of the name Lewis and where a few common phrases come from and the local Bats (and obviously alot about Quarrying! Ranging right back to Roman times). The tour lasted 1 hour 30. It was 17 degrees outside and the caves were 9 degree's inside, You definatly need to wrap up, as they recommend, it was chilly underground and dampish. There is a cafe hut with undercover outside seating, tea/coffee, cold drinks, snacks. Souvenirs etc. Reasonably priced. And amble parking.

Beer Quarry Caves offers a mesmerizing journey into history, thanks to the guide's captivating storytelling. Not ideal for small children due to darkness and lengthy explanations, but perfect for adults seeking adventure. Remember to wear suitable footwear for the uneven, wet terrain. While the experience is enchanting, additional lighting would reveal more of the caves' beauty.

Absolutely worth a visit. Excellent for all ages. Our guide, Dave, was very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Friendly for dogs too. We even stopped for a Quarryman’s lunch, which was tasty and excellent value for money. Sue in the shop was also lovely. All round excellent morning! Well worth it!

Lovely hidden gem near the pretty seaside village of Beer. Plenty of parking and nice area to be before heading down to the caves on the guided tour. These are man-made caves with a lot of history. It's a shame I missed the bat's but I will be going back later in the year to see them. They do recommend warm clothing while in the caves, this is not a joke! it got very cold in there and was 20 degrees lower than outside. I also recommend the cafe, the food was good and surprisingly didn't have inflated tourist prices like most other tourist spots.

Me and my 3 sons (4,8,19) had a wonderful experience here. The caves were massive and our guide Jed told us a lot of history in a very humorous yet fact way and we all could relate and had fun! As a side note please take something warmer to wear as it is a little wet and cold 🥶 Will visit again

Great tour! Learned a lot about an underground rock quarry that’s existed since, at least, Roman times. The tour guide was knowledge and all folks associated with the attraction were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Really detailed tour with lots of interesting facts and stories about local history. Easy to find, ample parking, and great value for money. I definitely recommend a visit if you're visiting the area.

Relatively expensive (£11 per Adult), but full of history. The website states the tour is 1 hour - 1.25 hours, but ours lasted for a while over 1.5 hours. This included some interesting facts, but went on for too long (relative to the size of the publically accessible part of the caves), as it meant interest was starting to be lost as it was difficult to listen to talking for so long.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Tourism as it should be. Our guide, Steve, was excellent, both on the historical and local detail. Our youngest child (4 years old) got a bit tired and cold by the end of the 1.5 hours so my wife took her out of the cave. But our other two children loved it.

Really interesting place to visit and in poor weather can get really busy (think 50+ to a guided 1hr tour). Fortunately the caves echo and you can hear them talk - lots of really interesting history about the local area, geology, bats and smuggling. Definitely worth a visit, give yourself 2 hours in total including tour.

We visited Beer Quarry Caves over the Easter weekend this year. It was completely brilliant. Our guide was informative, funny and really made the history of the place come alive particularly using audience participation! We had lunch first at the little café and I must say it was spotlessly clean. I have told many people since of our visit there and what a brilliant place it is to go and learn about.

It's such a lovely beach, even though it is a pebble beach. It's actually more akin to a beach crossed with a harbour. Great cafes too.

We enjoyed a beautiful morning spring. It was peaceful, lovely and really pebbly 🙂. Few tourists, seagulls, some fisherman and us on the beach.

Great little beach and town, lovely on a hot summers day. Boat hire and fishing trips available from the beach. Good for kayaking and paddle boarding.

Fantastic little village with quaint little shops and a beautiful local church, also I never seen so many pubs in such a small area but for a small village I must have counted at least 5! Well worth a visit if you are in the area, nice hiking trail overlooking the bay.

A very pretty little spot and the sounds of waves crashing on the pebble beach and seagulls majestically swooping overhead. Only small but lots of colour with the deckchairs and beach huts. A small village leads down to the beach with assortment of pubs, eateries and gift shops. I recommend parking at top end of the village as it gets tight further down and parking is very reasonable priced. The drive down the steep gorge to beer itself is part of the adventure. Go on treat yourself to a 99, kick off your shoes, settle in a deck chair and let the world pass you by.

Always love this place and 3 times here it's always been sunny. The water is crystal clear. What is nice to see it is very much a working beach for fishing boats.

Beautiful pebble beach. The village is beautiful as well. Lots of pubs for drinks and food. Our 4 year old loved throwing pebbles into the sea.

Went in June 2000 and 2008. Lovely village. Can hear the sound of waves lapping in the shingle beach. Wonderful walk over to Branscombe Beach.

Great pebble beach.. left side for dogs on lead from May to end of Sept. Plenty of refreshments available to buy when on the beach and a range of local shops on the high street as well as a lovely pub with a dog friendly beer garden. Love the beach, can get busy during summer so parking gets busy.

An absolute joy to visit hired a boat for 1 hour had a lovely day on beach looking through the stones and had a lovely coffee it is an amazing place to visit

Beautiful little village. It’s a lovely place for a day trip and if you stay in the village it makes a great jumping off point to any of the other places along the coat such as Seaton, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis etc. if you’re active try one of the walks along the Coastal Path

Beautiful place Beer, been going for years since I was a child. Beach is lovely with the cafés nice and shelter, just needs a toilet on the beach or a couple of 'porta loos'

Not a big fan of anything along the lines of a museum normally but this place has done a good job of putting together an engaging experience for youngsters. COVID meant a timed entry system but booking online was fairly straightforward. Plenty of parking next door but it is pay and display (50p per 30 mins). £20 for a family ticket wasn't unreasonable. Took us about 1hr 45 mins to explore. There were two challenges for children to do to keep them engaged for a token gift at the end. Most of it is inside so good if the weather is not so good. Didn't try the restaurant. Looked good for coffee and cakes and light snacks. Lots of sanitiser and room to socially distance if you're concerned about that sort of thing.

Visited with our 2 year old who enjoyed the interactive bits of the exhibition, mainly the dress up and the outdoor puzzle. The cafe is nice and spacious, it's great fun for a rainy morning...

Great place to recommend to our B&B guests at Netherleigh. Friendly staff clean restaurant and toilets and only a few minutes walk from the sea front.

Well thought out and interesting indoor / outdoor centre with plenty of space for wheelchair / pushchair access. Targeted for all age groups and a good food and drinks in the cafe

It's ok not one of the nicer towns we visited down west. The town is quite run down with a few empty shops. Found a good park near the tram.

Brilliant day out! Such an interactive and engaging museum - my two (3 and 5) loved it. The cafe is also really nice, and the outdoor area (which had a trail for the kids to follow) was fab too.

I really enjoyed my trip to seaton beach. Considering my youngest can not cope with sand this was the perfect place for us . The beach itself is pebbled and I noticed how clean and tidy it looked ! It had ramps on the beach itself for access for prams and wheelchairs which is a great touch . We loved watching the boats and paddle boarders come past . Plenty of seating along the top . Will be coming back

Fantastic beach I visited last May in 2021. Good visitors parking just 100 yards from the beach, with an on site cafe and toilets, and with a pub a stones throw away. The beach itself is beautiful, with some of the best coastal scenery I have ever seen. It is made of course sand and sharp rock fragments, and sea shells are abundant. Also very well known for its abundance of fossils, I found ammonites, belemnites amd brachiopods in this area.

Nice clean pebble beach. Lots of space for families. Dogs not allowed on this stretch. Nice promenade adjacent with many benches. Single kiosk, good value. Recommended 👍

Seaton beach is a pebble beach. It is unspoilt. There are toilets on the seafront. There are lots of cafes and kiosk for drinks, snacks and cakes along the promenade. There is disabled access to the beach near the town centre. There are flat disabled platforms to allow wheelchairs onto the beach. Seaton tramway centre is behind the beach along with a Tesco and a Premier Inn. The Hideaway Cafe is along the promenade. It has inside and outside seating.

Another long and pebbly East Devon beach backed by the red sandstone cliffs of the Jurassic Coast. Enjoyed a very pleasant walk here and, although it was a busy Bank Holiday, it did not feel crowded. The beach is very clean and shelves gently down to the sea. There were paddleboards and kayaks available for hire, and a few sailing boats out in Lyme Bay. Lots of beach huts. Lovely view towards the white chalk cliffs of Beer Head. There are ramps and decking here to make the beach more easily accessible to wheelchair users and families with baby buggies. Dogs are welcome everywhere on this beach between 1st October and the end of April, but are only allowed at the western end during the summer months. There are cafes and shops close by, and on the Bank Holiday Monday that I was there, the added attraction of a good street market on the prom.

Great beach went over there during last summer and not crowded and a really nice place to relax.

Another stunning beach! Pebbles rather than sand but sometimes I feel that makes a nice change and this is the case here. The noise the pebbles make when each wave hits the beach and draws back is mesmerising. I could sit here for hours. But that aside, it's a great spot to go fishing, dogs are welcome, public toilets available as well as many taps for water dotted around the beach. Highly recommend! Also free parking from 6pm until 8/9am

Late December visit and this beach is very quiet and easily accessible. It is all small pebbles (no sand at all) but quite spectacular rolling waves at high tide with thunder like crashes and the clatter of pebbles rolling with them. Some cafes and facilities remain open at this time of year so well worth a winter visit.

Our most favorite pebble beach in south west. Very clean beach and so close to the parking. In evening you can see so many people sea fishing, we saw a guy catching a small shark ( very surprising). And so mesmerizing to see where a river meets the sea, just wow.

There are several car parks nearby, all cost, but are a 5 minute walk to the beach. The central area of the beach is a NO go for dogs, but past the yacht area at the end dogs are welcome. The beach is stoney, although there is a walk way all the way along the edge. It's a very quiet beach, not very much noise and great for those who want peace. Not too many amenities, no amusements etc, so great for the older generation.

I am not a huge fan of pebble beaches, however the view here more than makes up for it. You can see so many people enjoying the beach with lots of different activities going on. I've seen people paddle board, surf, fish and swim There are cute little beach huts a little ways from the shore that adds so much charm

One of my fave places for paddleboarding . More than happy to pay for parking during the summer as the board is off the car and straight onto the sea wall. Limited to four hours though.

Fresh, windy air, cliffs, and so much sea. Perfect. It's also a great place to take the dog

Brilliant walk from the top down to Branscombe. Like a different world with completely different flora and fauna compared to the surrounding beach and cliffs. Word of advice to overly keen husbands/dads: the well-trodden narrow path leading off to the right does NOT lead up to the caves on the cliffside. It instead gets steeper and steeper, reaches a dead end and then leaves you carrying your kids back down on your bum. Trust me.

Walked from Branscombe Beach taking the undercliff path then up to join the top path to Beer, where the other half picked me up from the Anchor Inn. The colours in the cliffs in this area are great as the sandstone in the west starts to give way to the chalk in the east.

Stunning views. Walked the coastal path from Branscombe to Beer Head and returned on the cliff top walk. Though challenging, we decided that was probably the better way round as the walk up to the cliff top from Branscombe Beach looked gruelling.

Nice walk we started off doing the hill & went back through the caravan park. Then had a coffee & sat on the beach in the sun

Stunning coastal walk and view. Some parts are quite narrow and steep. It would not be accessible for the disabled

Ample parking, good pathways suitable for riding, wheelchairs etc. Toilets available including a disabled toilet. Very pretty. My kids love going to feed the ducks. Free access.

Lovely little gem tucked away about a mile back from the coast. 3 accessible hides although the Tower hide is up some steps so no good for wheelchair access. Water levels were a bit low so the exposed mud did give off a bit of a stink. The only other niggle was kids running around in the hides, which was not conducive to peaceful bird watching. Lovely volunteer staff in the coffee hut and contactless payment preferred.

Delightful. Very interesting. Always something to see....even a small starling mermuration.

A great place for both young and old to go and see the flora and fauna around the wetlands. Plenty of info and help for you to identify the different birds, lots of places to sit or have a break/lunch. Little walks down to different hides giving you great vistas over the wetlands and the river plus a place to relax. With a toilet on site and free carparking and the main paths are tarmacked so you able to get around no matter the mode it makes it a great place to visit.

My Wife absolutely loved this place. Quite a lot of walking involved around various hides and paths. We are not expert birdwatchers but did get to see quite a few that we don't normally see that much down our way. Car park close, very cheap donation basis.Very close to Seaton. Impressive modern built hides built around the wetland estuary area. nice woodland walk area as well. Lots of thought gone into this place. We will definitely be visiting again.

This is free to enter. There is nearby parking with an honesty box for donations. Much of the wetland is laid to path so it is wheelchair and buggy friendly. Most of the hides and buildings are accessible by ramps (only the tower hide only has stairs leading to it). The trams from Colyton to Seaton now stop at the wetlands so you could combine your tram journey with a visit here. There is a small range of drinks and snacks (many gluten free) to buy at the discovery hut. Dogs are not allowed.

Lovely area even if you just want a walk, if your not interested in birds, educational for children, but close supervision advised as could easily slip into one of the wildlife ponds, fairly flat ground for disabled, no cafe but small but serving snacks and hot drinks.

Beautiful. Hides really well made. Volunteers very friendly and ready to make you a well timed cuppa. Get the tram here for a really enjoyable day out, bring your binoculars. My kids loved it.

A lovely reserve with diverse habitats, several well maintained hides, engaging information, and very friendly staff in the visitor centre (who served us some delicious hot chocolate in proper mugs!).

I live near and love popping down with my camera. It's a fantastic place and I have learnt lot's from different people there.

Great place to see birds. Volunteers are wonderful. Hot drinks and a chocolate bar. Viewpoints further down the estuary are lovely. And further on, a nice walk walk into village.

Truly an eye opening experience massage was fantastic and the reiki healing was some thing to behold my partner and I think it was a wonderful experience and will definitely return

Closed when we got there (possibly because the 'summer season' opening hours finished the day before?) - but it's a pretty and well-maintained frontage. Maybe some more information boards would help, as so many people seem to comment on it not being open when they need it?

Brill place to spend a day out at Seaton

Nice park - more for under 12s and little ones. Crazy golf open only local school holidays, weekends and bank holidays with a dinosaur theme. Tennis courts and some exercise equipment.

Great little playground shame there isn't that many children using it but then it's winter season!

Enjoyed the children's play area and sensory area with the little ones. The Jurassic crazy golf was fun, but managed to get the ball stuck in the tunnel! Only criticism is that you have to take the children to the toilets by the beach, which is a long way for little one's who leave it to the last minute. Particularly as all the toilets were closed due to vandalism except for the urinals.

Plenty for the family. The sunken trampolines were brilliant as they were so safe but fun.

Lovely play park, Jurassic themed Crazy Golf, tennis courts and adult outdoor gym. Just at back of seafront, but playpark doesn't seem to get too crowded. Revamped during lockdown.

We had a fabulous evening at the Gateway last night watching the film Jules. The hall was warm, the welcome friendly, and the toilets clean. The bar may not be subsidised, but we are happy to help fund such a wonderful local resource, that Seaton is so lucky to have. By having such a great entertainment venue locally, we save on time and petrol to visit other places,. I would encourage everyone to use the Gateway.

Went to see an NT Live stream ('Stir Line Crazy' with Ralph Fiennes). I think it used to be the town hall but it is a nice theatre space, quite intimate. I liked the layout of tables at the front; where I sat, with the rows of seats behind. Run by volunteers I believe. Includes a nice little bar area and ample toilet facilities.

Its decor is tired and facilities leave a lot to desired. This combined with the extremely poor quality wine sold for an exorbitant price means it is quickly becoming the don't go to venue in Seaton!

Thoroughly enjoyed the film with picnic beforehand. The arrangers were very helpful ensuring we were able to sit with our friends, following our request by phone earlier in the week. The new facilities are great. The only downside was that I felt it to be a little crowded in these COVID times.

Wonderful showing of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake. Great and flawless had the seats been a tad more padded for a 2 hour show without a break. However, I'll be going back

Recent visit to see film not great. Hall cold, place half empty and prices of drinks beyond a joke. No longer affordable night out.

We had a wonderful night at the picnic film showing of Mission Impossible tonight. A fun and different way to watch the latest movies, in a friendly environment. Definitely recommended!

It should not be allowef to call itself a theatre! It is a hall with a bar at the back which was open all through the show. The first act was a lady/man due singing, I think. You could hardly hear them over the extremely loud music. All night people were talking and getting up for drinks, some were drunk and could hardly stand. No respect for the artists or other members of the audience!! We go to many theatres both large and small and have NEVER experienced anything like ladt night. If you want an evening of entertainment DONT GO HERE, it is worse than a working mens club.

Lovely people - not your usual art gallery snobs - some decent stuff too.

As a family, we've shopped here for years when we visit the area on holiday, picking up pieces of pottery to remind us of our stay. One or two pieces turned into a collection! Julia, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful when I told her how I had ended up with two of one variety of jug. Thanks to her, I now have a complete set! Great customer service!

Staff/ owners very helpful and knowledgeable about the artists /pieces for sale. I purchased a print and my wife purchased some jewellery and pottery. Thank you for all your help.

It is insane how nice this shop is. If you got cash and a summer house, you should decorate with what they sell!

Must see

St Winifreds is simply one of the best parish churches you can visit. It's everything - holy, historical, serene, beautiful, part of the community and open for worship and for visit. It's taken me 3 years to write this review, partly because I'd lost count of how many times I have visited; but also as I didn't want to give it away to too many people!

Lovely historic church in a beautiful setting

A lovely church in a valley setting in the village of Branscombe. A footpath passes through the grounds up the steep hill behind to join the coast path in both directions. East towards Branscombe beach and beyond to Hooken and Beer. West towards Weston, Salcome Regis and Sidmouth.

One of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen. This church set in a stunning valley just takes your breath away. Lovely fairy tale place. Not to be missed!
