Amazing place, clear turquoise water, clean sand, beautiful views! We'll be back for sure. Of course - driveway is challenging as it is only tarmac, but standard car can handle that.

Breathing views, clear water, not crowded, amazing. One minus is that the beach bar plays really loud electronic music, which doesn't fit there, according to me, but if you go a little further from it, it should be fine. Also, bring food, because the bar serves only toast and chips, but at 3 o clock the toasts were finished. The road is a little difficult, but doable.

The most beautiful beach in Kos. Road is a really bad gravel, but for me a chalenge, and bautiful wievs. Because of the dificult aproach, there's no crowd. Good Pirates bar, nice service. If you'll ever spend time in Kos you have to be here. It's a MUST.

True hidden gem of the island, it was the highlight of our trip. It is the perfect sandy beach one can ask for! However, we did not look up well enough the road conditions, and rented a small Daihatsu to get there, which was a struggle. You have to climb up and down a mountain to get there, no fence on the side of the curvy, dirty road. Only go with a driver that has experience in driving in the mountains. Sunbeds are 10€ per day, the lady was really unfriendly, so we laid our towels.

Absolutely amazing. It was a bit tricky to get there with a Suzuki city car, but we managed that mainly on 1st gear. Road back is a bit harder. Beach itself is beautiful and lovely.

Wonderful semi-wild beach in Kefalos! I definitely recommend it. Cliffs and mountains in the background, clear and not too cold water. There is a bar that apparently serves only drinks. And about 20-25 umbrellas with sun beds for rent (10€ per day per umbrella with 2 beds). But there is also quite some space to lay down freely on the sand. The downside for me is that the bar plays loud techno music all day long, which doesn’t match with the wild and relaxing landscape. At low tide you can probably walk to the nearby cove to the south. But better bring suitable footwear to walk on rocks and check the tide to avoid being cut off. Yes the road to get there is unpaved and sometimes steep. But I got there and back safely in a very normal small car. And so did many other normal cars that I saw in the car park (more normal cars than ATVs and 4x4s). I just followed the route indicated by Google Maps and drove slowly, paying attention to rocks and potholes on the way. It took me about 30-40 minutes to drive from Kefalos village. 10-20 km/h on the roughest/steepest stretches of the road. The road is wide enough for 2 cars to pass. Keep low gears engaged: 2nd or 1st in the steepest/roughest stretches, both uphill and downhill. I run most of the totally unpaved stretch in 1st gear. Keep your clutch pedal up at all times unless you almost come to a stop or when switching gears. Try to keep the side of the road that is smoothest, since there is nearly no traffic. If possible steer away from big rocks and potholes, otherwise tackle them at walking speed. It will be perfectly fine… and fun :-)

This was the highlight of my trip . It is a very beautiful and relaxing beach! To get there we had to drive through a narrow road in the mountains. It was challenging. I recommend you go there with quads . Just be careful when driving . There is a bar there that offer only drinks, prices are okay .

Its a very nice place, but to many wasps on the beach. U can also drive with a normal car, but drive slow beacuse there are som big rocks on the road. When u leave the place its a very steep slope, so use the first gear only. We wisited this place early in the morning, no sign of people.

One of our favourite 3 beaches in Kos. Only accessible by dirt track. Not really suitable for normal cars, but great fun in a dune buggy, quad or 4 x 4 jeep. We hired a basic dune buggy with 150 cc engine and it was an awesome experience driving there. Very scenic drive. The beach is set in front of high cliffs with a sandy beach. Very dramatic and secluded. I can't imagine it gets crowded. There is a shack selling drinks (alcoholic or soft) with a covered seating area and some sunbeds and parasols. You can walk along the beach quite a way to explore and even paddle/swim to the next cove.

Wow! What an incredibile beach! Quite a journey to arrive but definetly worth a visit. Be advised that it will take almost half an hour off-road route, so check your type of vehicle. If you get there early in the morning maybe you can enjoy some time completely alone. Outstanding!

The beach itself is a perfect place where ancient history meets unbelievably beautiful nature. You can see remains of basilicas and just across it, surrounded by the sea, rocky island which is extremely "instagramable". You can get sunbeds and an umbrella (10e per set per day) but you should go there earlier in the morning. Not many spots. There is no cafe, but there is the staff from a nearby bar/restaurant, they can take your order and deliver coffee or food to you.

Our absolutely favourite beach in Kos. Lovely sand, good water, and a very cool ruin next to it. Some very sweet and friendly cats in the area, so bring cat treats and hand wash - and we 100000% recommend making the swim to the island. You can walk a lot of the way, and if you bring some googles or a swimming mask, diving is very fun with the fish.

This is our favourite all round beach in Kos and a must see if you plan on driving around the island and exploring a little. It is beautifully situated with ancient ruins, a rocky island and a couple of nice beach areas. You can swim or pedalo to the island and ring the bell on the side of the building. The beach is good for swimming, sun bathing, snorkeling exploring rocky coves or just chilling. There is also a big choice of restaurants further along the beach.

Love it! My favourite in Kos. Easy accessible with parking area across. There’s a spot on the corner of the beach which is amazing for beautiful view on the island, for the level of water which allows you to have long walk inside refrigerating your legs and for quite environment. Possibility to have both: public space or 2 sun lounges with parasol at 13 euro per day. Not so far, just 10 minutes by walk there’s taverna Katerina. Mix of both is incomparable. Very suggested! One of the best non-natural beaches in the island with ruins of basilica. There is also a small beautiful island with a chapel. You can walk a half way in the water there.

The most fun beach of our whole holiday! The island really gives this beach some character. There are water sport activities to hire here too! If you walk towards the bars away from the island, there a lots of beds which we were able to use (not sure they belong to the hotels behind them, but we were not asked to move). The beds at the entrance of the beach (from the carpark) belong to iKos, don’t sit here as they will ask you to move, these are for guests only. It is quite shallow water swimming over to the island, however it’s quite a swim, so if you’re not not a confident swimmer, I wouldn’t risk it without a life jacket. Also, if you swim over to the island, you may need swimming shoes, as the rocks to climb up are steep and you would need shoes to climb them.

It was amazing. We took the pedal for 20 euros for an hour and went on the little island in front of the beach. The colours there are fantastic, a real therapy for the eyes.

It's one of the nicest sandy beaches on island of Kos with spectacular view of the small island with a church accross - you can swim over and visit the island, takes about 5-10 minutes. The beach features a nice gradual enternance into the turquise water. There's a parking nearby and you can rent deck chair in the shade for about 10€. But beware, the beach is well-known, so can be busy. Would definitelly visit again when visiting Kos!

The most clean beach of Kos between Paradise, Tam Tam, Marmari and Thermes beaches. If you swim a bit far away, crystal clear water is where you find yourself in :) As being beside the ruins of the Basilica St. Stefanos, it also becomes distinct from the rest.

Really stunning beach! The ancient ruins are a must visit considering the back drop of the ocean. The beach itself is very clean with crystal clear water. Excellent for cooling down as the water is not very deep.

The Google maps showed us two roads to get there, well the west way was not a road! Unless you a drive a Jeep, don’t take it! The beach itself was very nice though, we spent the whole day there

Amazing place, nice sand beach with so many options where to stay. Lot of sunbads with umbrellas - 10 euro for set. You can use also one restaurant, one beach bar, toilets and showers. Nice place for all day. We were also on rocks like a little hiking, where we found some salty places :)

Very small and quiet beach, didn’t seem like a lot of families with children visit here and we didn’t see many all afternoon. The beach isn’t very Sandy as you can see from the images. There is a guy that will come around collected €7 for the sun beds once you have sat down! You can use them as long as you like for the €7 for both beds! He seems nice and approachable.

Absolutely fantastic little beach to watch the sun go down. Great for sunsets. Rocky, like most beaches in Kos, but once past the initial 10-20metres it’s sandy under foot. A shower but no toilets. Good for a surf. With boards available for hire as well as sun beds and umbrellas.

OK, so, if you expect a sandy beach.... run..... this is all pebbles, hard on the feet if you don't wear something and a bit of a walk if your friends decide to run off ahead and pick a spot furthest way from the free parking and you forgot your flip-flops... ok so that s an ouch.... think about it like this... lovely warm weather, seas a perfect temperature for a swim, great wild surroundings and its like you are walking on lego pieces all the way down the beach!! Right so… you have been warned! Its a lovely beach, we went in the afternoon so it was quiet , no kids , very peaceful and we decided to stay for a couple of hours and found it very very relaxing. For a beach that’s a little off the beaten track there is a restaurant, surf school and some amenities nearby , lots of lovely views and to be honest, it was worth the drive to to swim and relax for the afternoon. As for the plethora of pebbles and rocks… I walked back along the beach to the car park by wading in the sea… much better option…. So kiddies, if you come to this beach… bring footwear :)

The "must see" term is so overused nowadays, but finally I'm able to use it properly as it should be. Rarely, but accurately. If you want to see a beautiful sunset in Kos people usually argue whether you should watch it from Zia or Aigos Theologos. Multiple locals have recommended Theologos for us, and man.. Did we enjoy it.. It is easily accessible with any car (or bike or quad) but if you are on foot you can ask any transfer agency for ~7-10 Eur to take you there (depending on your location). If you are staying in kefalos please.. Spend one night with your loved one here, it's cozy, no crowd, great food, restaurant owner and crew really professional and nice... The tables are on a balcony with overview to the sea. Really spectacular

There is a very steep road and a small parking below near the beach which in the end turns out even smaller because of scattered rocks and uneven terrain. You can leave the car near the restaurant at the top and walk the distance but then there are probably more accessible and still beautiful beaches somewhere else, like Magic Beach to the east.

Mostly a nudist beach but one of the sandiest beaches around. Water is clear and no stones and pebbles to walk over to get to it.

Lovely and quiet and chilled not rammed - two sun beds and umbrella were €12.50 cheap beer and water available. Clothing Optional area kept separate from clothed - amazing clear water with fish swimming around you on the shore edge if you lucky. sandy beach gives way to smooth rock under the water

I think this beach is overrated. Sun beds are 12 EUR for 2. No shower, no toilet. Water is very cold. There is one restaurant which is expensive and not so good.

For the clear water 5 stars. For access to the sea, the slippery rock slabs and the sting flies zero points. It's too full now.

The beach boasts stunning natural surroundings, but lacks amenities. There are no showers, and despite being intended for naturists, many people still wear clothes, which diminishes the enjoyment. Fortunately, there is ample space in the dunes where we could sit comfortably.

Very nice nude beach with a small hut serving drinks, the man also gives massages, however we didn't partake. There are hundreds of fish in the shallow waters, entering to waist high water then standing still you will find dozens of fish forming in a circle around you, very beautiful. Be careful when entering and walking around the water as, even though rare, I was stung by a weaver. My experience was very lucky - it must have been a small one and only one spine got me, but the pain was horrendous, passed after around 45 minutes. If you are stung you have to pay close attention to any signs of allergy as this could make the sting fatal. Overall wonderful beach probably one of our favourites.

One of the longest and most quiet beaches on the island... The best way to get there is to follow the signs to "magical beach" and from there walking along the beach, both are going into another. It's a sandy beach, but just in the water there are some flat rocks but they are easy to pass. A good place to find some really nice drift wood! But also a bit plastic waste is taken by the sea onto the beach and into the dunes.. :/ nevertheless: the best and most private beach on the island we visited!

Lovely food to go with a great view. Service was very slow which could be ok but it really was slow so be ready for a relaxed evening. There were plenty of staff so not sure why, but it was easily 15/20 minutes for a drinks order to come. That said food was lovely so I’d 100% go back. It’s not cheap for the area and if you want a table with the best view (on the edge) you have to pre book. I think there were only three tables not booked today and it’s a Monday night! These three were still taken by 8pm.

Beautiful restaurant on top of the hill behind Kefalos Castle, very stylish and chilled atmosphere.. Food and cocktails were definitely some of the best we have had on Kos. Staff were friendly & attentive without being to in your face.. Definitely a night out to remember..

Our taxi driver recommended this place to us and we really enjoyed our evening there. It is a very well kept restaurant and the vibe was very romantic and chill. We had the Salmon Tartar, grilled vegetable salad and a shrimp pasta. Everything was delicious with a good portion size. The apple Mille-feuille was delicious, not too sweet and was a sweet end for our evening there. The staff were attentive, kind and friendly. We definitely recommend this restaurant! And we wish this family business great success and years of amazing food to come!

Absolutely amazing place. You can feel the history and Dimitri is very knowledgable and brings the story of the place to life. George and Georgia are very passionate and have really poured their heart and souls into it. Food is amazing and views are to die for. Would completely recommend a visit.

We drove from Kos Town to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service and food was delicious. We highly recommend eating here. Thank you all so much for looking after us.

Lovely location and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stopped for a coffee but had to try the pastries... not disappointed.

This restaurant is definitely worth of a stop. During the hottest sunny hours, after a nice swim you can come here and taste traditional cuisine, looking at an amazing view of the bay. The place is always cool thanks to its location in a windy area. After lunch you can either rest reading a book on the quiet veranda, or visit the complex. A young guide, Elena, despite of her age is very keen on providing a detailed explanation about the mill ( the most ancient of the island) and about the traditional house that gives you a picture of a past lifestyle.

Went to visit around 3pm for a bite to eat, first impressions, stylish, modern and upmarket. Found a great table on the terrace with amazing views but well shaded from the sun. Wasnt overly crowded and menu was limited due to timing of our visit, but thats not an issue at all. Food was well prepped and tasty, service was very good and I have to say was well riced, I was expecting to pay more due to the lovely surroundings. I'd recommend if you want to go someplace for a good dinner, drinks and great views.

Food is not better than any Taverne at the street. Pasta with beef had almost no sauce, the beef burger was low beef quality and not medium as ordered, the fries were really sloppy. They act like it is a noble restaurant, but foodwise it isn't at all! Atmosphere and view is great!

Me and my boyfriend came here after a day spent on the beach, it was so lovely and such a gorgeous setting for a date. It was very quiet up on the terrace where we ate! The views were gorgeous. On cloudy evenings it is cold fyi. The food was nice but for the price we did expect it to be better. I had the Mozzeralla pesto salad and my boyfriend had the veal short ribs with mashed potato. This is more on the expensive side, so if you’re looking for a budget evening, I wouldn’t recommend. Although, I would recommend for a romantic evening with gorgeous views.

Nice views and modern setup. However is a very touristy place with only two waitresses, so be prepared to wait for your order.

We just popped in for a coffee, but we'd love to come back. Stylish decor, cosy terrace with great views. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Located near the Marina, its well worth a visit to see the castle. My only recommendation to those who look after the castle would be some info signs explaining the history of the site

Lovely views

Absolutely stunning view from the top of Kefalos. You can see the coastline of southern Kos and into the mainland. Use caution because if you fall down, that's the last thing you have seen. There are also a few holes in the ground, make sure you watch your step.

Great view over the island.

It is historic, it is the smallest fortification for the old centre of Kos, if you do nothing else in Kefalos, just go up to the castle and look out over the bay.

OK, so first of all, its a ruin of a castle.... like so many all over, but its a piece of history, and the views are amazing. Its free, a short walk from the old town and there is plenty of free parking nearby.

The castle itself is not worth mentioning, but the view is great. A short stop is worthwhile. Except for the view, you should not expect anything else. Date of the visit: October 2, 2022.

The castle of Kefalos is located atop a hill, overlooking the sea. It's an excellent endpoint for a high-intensity run from the beach. Especially during early morning since the sun rises from that side. I'd give it 5 stars, but it's a tad run-down. Nevertheless, the view is absolutely spectacular.

There was alot of people struggling to find the path to the top! At the first fork in the path go right. Once you see the church with the wooden door stay on that level. There is a cut as shown in my video with the tiny tiny sign saying castle. At that one go up left. The path will become more clear as you go up. I wore crocs but some of the grey shiny stones were a tad slippy. Take water. And there is toilets up the way past the taverna you don't have to use the taverna loo. They are cash only and it is for customers only.

Had lizards 🦎 great views and was free. Not alot there realy, but great views! Some limited parking next to it.

It's not a castle you can go in, more walk around and on top of (beware of the Wells on the top as you could fall in). We didn't book any excursion or have any guide so all knowledge of the Castle was obtained through Google whilst visiting. An excellent view point looking out to the Agean Sea. A good place for panoramic pictures with plenty of eateries just a very short distance walk. .

Free to get in. You get some great views of the harbour with plenty of opportunity to take photo selfies. Please note though that the castle has uneven floors not suitable for prams or people with mobility problems. Not many information boards explaining the history of the castle which is a shame.

We stopped as we were curious and felt a little awkward making our way around the back of the house —- but we are SO GLAD we did. The place is BEAUTIFUL. We asked the kind lady if there was any food available as we were hoping to find some much needed brunch somewhere (only drinks were listed on her board). She happily rustled up what was available from her garden; a courgette omelette and fried courgette flowers with homemade pomegranate apple juice. Sublime. Bliss. Thank you 🙏🏻

The food is the best. You get beautiful salads, courgettes and beans, I personally don’t eat salad but the rest of the party said they were lovely. Now, the main course. It’s just the best selection of local meats. Pork sausage, pork steaks, chicken, and more. All cooked to perfection on the charcoal grill in front of you. Simple food, not messed with and done perfectly. And it just keeps coming. If you want more, you get more until you can eat anymore. Also, you must try the homemade lemonade and pomegranate drinks. They’re the best on the island! The setting is also beautiful. Outside, everything very traditional. Absolutely wonderful in every way.

Well worth the visit for €2!! The lady was very informative and not pushy when it came to the end of the tour at the cafe. Well worth a 30 minute pop in visit.

Had a lovely visit. Opens from 10am. Saw around house. Very small entrance fee. Very interesting. Owner after hearing my daughter was a musician allowed her to play the musical instrument which was hanging up. Snacks, meals and drinks on offer, all priced and detailed on a board. Very reasonable. They even came with some watermelon to accompany our traditional cold drinks. There was also an opportunity to book for a BBQ later in the week but unfortunately we were going home by then. ☹️

Came here a few years ago as well. Anna and her husband are very welcoming! Relaxed atmosphere. All the food is home grown produce and cooking is phenomenal and plenty of it. A must visit! Highly recommend! We went on bbq night and took home what we couldn't finish. Sundays they cook whole lamb in traditional oven.

I cant explain the feeling while being there...it just felt so natural,so very own like from our grand parents lives 50 years ago... Would highly recomend to visit this authentick place! After tour we had a nice coffee and chat with current resident. Currently grandson lives here,the traditional house was his gramdads,lots of personal items inside. We also signed guest book. Extreemly highly recomended to visit!

The traditional greek house that is over 100 years old. There is a normal house next to it where the grandson of the original farmer lives now. He is very sweet and he showed us around the house and the garden. He saved everything from his grandparents and displayed it in the garden and the small old houses. There are tools and pictures on the walls. It is for free but please tip him some money in the box. It is very nice and it took a lot of work. You can park your car in front of the house gate.

Great little private museum of country life a century ago. 2 euro per person.

Amazing experience and the owner is incredible to speak to and learn from. His hospitality is fantastic and treats his guests like one of his family members. Make sure to try the local wine in his backyard and enjoy some meze.

A stunning traditional house that has been kept exactly as it was since the owner’s grandparents lived there .. it’s an amazing live time capsule.. a MUST visit 😉👍👏

Lovely beaches in the area. Don't bother paying for the parking and sun beds. Just park a few hundred meters before or at Ag. Theologos. You can get to the beaches by walking along the sea coast. Beautiful, free and you may find empty beaches all to yourself

Stay away from this beach! The owner seems to be crazy! Started shouting at as when we did not want stay for 10EUR for entering. He thinks this is his own beach but is not. Crazy guy indeed. We had to run away from this crazy place. DO NOT RECOMEND THIS „PRIVAT” beach.

Very scenic beach in a cove next to the cliffs. The beach is quite rocky, this is not a sandy one. The water has amazing colours. There are quite some umbrellas with sun beds (10 euros each set). There is also a chemical toilet. But no food nor drink as far as I could see. The road to the beach is unpaved and sometimes a bit rugged. But it’s well indicated and it is perfectly doable in a normal car with some care.

This is a great little cove and beach a little off the beaten track. Accessible by foot (30 mins) or vehicle (ideally a buggy) from Agios Theologos Beach. There is a car park, toilet (basic) and sunbeds/carosels, but not much else other than a beautifully kept cove with a very exclusive feel. If you are looking for endless sandy beaches and great swimming this is not the beach for you though. There is a sheltered rock pool area and small beach for swimming. Great for relaxing or exploring the rocky coastline.

Private beach, the alleged owner asks you 5 euros to access it, despide the fact there is a sign informing that the umbrellas cost 5 euros, not access to the beach. They "owner" of the beach was very unfriendly. It is not worth paying to go to that beach, there are a lot of better beaches on the island and completely free.

The best beach in Kos. Don’t you dare missing it! There you will find Yiannis, he’s kind always smiley and he always offers something to the visitors, mostly watermelons! The best beach, I say it again!

DO NOT follow the path that Google Maps sends you on!! There are signs painted along the road showing the correct way. The road is a bit rocky at the beginning, but it gets more sandy as you approach the entrance. It costs €10 just to enter the “private” beach, but you get a sunbed and parasol as well. If you’re staying a certain hotel you might enter for free.. that part was not clear.

Quiet, beautiful beach. There is only one toilette and shower, but it's enough because there are only few people everyday!

Beautiful little Chapel on a treacherous little road, it's worth having patience driving to get here but the views alone are worth it..

A great panoramic spot on the island. The views are great and the church is beautiful! The drive to the top is fun, especially by ATVs (for cars not as much)

The winery is a very small, local place. We waited until the owner came. She is a very lovely woman and offered us three kinds of wine with some fruit. One star less because this location shows the old building of the winery which does not exist anymore. You can find the winery on the way to the volcanic beach.

Great wine tasting. Really lovely older lady that tried to explain us the different wines, which were incredible in taste and reasonable in price. Needles to say that I bought three wines. Will visit again if given the chance. Best regards

I'm a very frequent traveler and a bit knowledgeable about Mediterranean and wineries in general. Any other than 5 stars review can come only from someone who doesn't understand Mediterranean culture, wineries, and wine in general. Absolutely amazing with amazing and charming senora Maria in charge of the winery. Local gem. Period. I'll be back.

We turned up spontaneously after passing the road sign, welcomed by lovely owners who opened for specially for us and gave us a wine sample which we bought the red of, delicious! Lovely find.

Spontaneous Wine Stop Seen driving along the road, a local winery in Kos made by a family run business , with only 1 acre they produce 8000 bottles of wine a year; Red, White and Rose. Was greated very warmly buy the grandma there and had a little wine tasting session. Costed 10€ for 3 people to taste all 3 wines each. Flavours of the wine contrasted very well, was very fresh and vibrant, if you enjoy dry refreshing wines they have it here. Purchased two bottles of wine at about 16€ each.
