Beautiful view when it's not foggy like it was for us. It cleared up slightly tho so still worth it. We went up using the cable car which was slightly pricey, 28.50 euros for adults for there and back, you can also hike up if you want but it will take around 3hrs and is very steep. Lots of hiking trails at the top of the mountain to do for all levels and restaurants.

There is an amazing hike from the car park at the bottom of the cable car that takes you past Neuschwanstein Castle, up to Queen Mary’s Bridge for views of the castle. Going further up the peak, there are beautiful views of Alpsee lake. The trail at some points has fallen trees and a few rocks that are awkward to pass, so be prepared to climb over (or under) one or two fallen trees! There is a pub serving food at the top by the cable car. Cable car costs approx 14€. When you get down there’s a toboggan for 4,50€.

An absolutely wonderful hike through the half snow-covered Tegelberg where we really missed having langlauf-sticks. Even though some parts felt exciting to us, the locals (two of whom slid down a ski slopes on just their 2 feet) made it seem like an easy walk instead. The views at the top make you appreciate the beauty of Austria. Mountains as far as the eye could see.

An amazing place for a day trip with your family or friends. The color of the water, mountains and sky makes it close to heaven. Easy to reach, not very far from Munich. It’s actually close to the boarder of Austria. If you go there, hopfensee and Lechfall is also recommended to visit. Hopfensee: specially for the sunset. Overall, it’s one of the most beautiful view I have ever seen in Bavaria till now.

Lake Forggensee is a large body of water, serene, clean and shining blue. On a mild fall afternoon, we walked from Fussen downtown to the lakefront. We took a boat trip and it was a nice relaxing way to enjoy nature and get distant glimpses of the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, and the Alpine mountain peaks. There are hotel accommodations with lakeview. Efficient bus transport back to Fussen.

This place is my 2nd best place from my travel after Feldberg in Blackforest. When you say Allgaü, you just can't get this place out of your head. Completely standing lonely in the green fields of Schwangau. The photo composition can be done from the rear side , aligning perfectly with Neuschwanstein castle or the Tegelberg mountains on one side. The highway beside it gives also nice perspective. I have been to this place in winter, summer and Autumn and never it disappointed me. There was a special time in winter, where it was fully covered in clouds and snow. This lake is meant not for tourists and photos, but for a quiet walk or family picnic. You can go jogging around and even swim, as there are a few specially equipped entrances to the water. Go find pink water lilies before the sunset!

We knew about etiquette. We knew about the many pools and sauna options at this place. Loved it for 9 hours on one day, and went back the next day for four more hours. The only glitch was our massages...not even close to our expectations. But still...rating this place a 5! Amazing...a lovely view of Neuschwanstein and the Alps.

The water and the views are really nice. The roughhousing children and their disrespectful parents that don't respect the wellness aspect of the facility (read, this is not your private kiddie pool for your kids) are not so nice. The place gets packed, is dated, a little kitschy and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The constant yapping in the steam baths is annoying and doesn't add anything to relaxation which is hard to find here anyway with the sardine situation going on. Going as soon as it opens may help to enjoy the brine-focused spa and appreciate the quiet and the views.

Great spa complex, good selection of saunas, mineral pools and plenty of space to relax. It's quite nice that they have restaurants in the facility and the food is great. Quite helpful in case you want to spend all day there.

They are all included in the initial fee for getting in (25 euro for 4 hours, slightly more for the full day). We thought 4 hours would be too much however it turned out time flew quicker than expected and would have been better taking the daily ticket instead -all therapies are different and offer their own experience, utilizing different methods and scents. All you have to do is follow the schedule to the dedicated room. There are several areas to the spa, it'll take you a long time to discover and understand it all (that's why it's much better to get a daily ticket) -There is a restaurant on the inside -a bar to drink from inside the pool (alcoholic and non) on stools inside the water -A cafeteria with a large variety of cakes to choose from -All decorations within the spa are incredible, starting from some of the columns covered with crystals, others made of pink, white marble. Chandeliers of fine glass work with beautiful blue colored gems, fantastic work on the staircase leading to the topper floors made of thick veiny marble. Beautiful paintings around, I was studying some for sometime. Innovative ideas for therapies in the saunas, using crystals of eucalyptus and menthol directly on the hot stones, freeing up your upper respiratory system. Salt scrubs and mud baths. Pools are available outside too and they are warm so you can relax and bathe even during the winter while snow is falling atop your head. All sauna rooms and Turkish baths are kept tidy, sanitized and clean, with beautiful decorations on the inside (they are named after the king Ludwig II and other important personalities of the time, so you'll find portraits of Cavaliers and coat of arms). -Customer service is excellent, smiling at all times and dressed impeccably -Such views from every spot that will take your breath away, there is a "panorama sauna" that offers enough space for up to 30 people if not more and a panorama over the Alps and the Neuschwanstein castle. -On the upper level you'll find another restaurant and on the terrace you'll find seating within glass vaults to enjoy the view even during super cold periods (and you're naked in there so how awesome is that?) Amazing! The whole place with its nice and elegant decoration has a real "royal" atmosphere. Pools are always crystal clean, and the temperatures are ideal, specially in the outdoor pools, which is important during the winter time. The sauna section offers lots of different sauna options. But the most distintive feature is undoubtedly the gorgeus view of the surrounding alpine landscape!

Probably the best thermal bad I have visited. For sure the best I know in Germany. Multiple saunas with different temperatures and the whole show with the pouring. The aroma sauna was wonderful. Coffee shops, restaurants, salty and regular pools (not for swimming), whirlpools and more. Incredible views and facilities. Probably even better in Sommer but it was great!

The thermal baths are located in a beautiful place with the Alps and Neuschwanstein castle view and offer a great variety of spa services.
