Beautiful fort. It definitely takes minimum 2hrs to see the place.! One of the best places to take insta worthy pictures. Folk song artists, shopping points and restaurant/cafe all available inside the fort. Need to wear masks.

Beautiful well preserved. One of the richest fort in India. You can enjoy the evening by booking dinner and enjoy the night view at the top of the palace. You can book a tour guide if you are interested and love history. Worth the money. Towards the end of the tour, there is a shop you can buy merchandise and other collectibles and gifting item and memento.

What an incredible experience at Mehrangarh Fort! It's seriously well taken care of, kudos to the authorities for preserving it so well. And I totally appreciate the no outside food rule – keeps the place super clean. Walking around, you can just feel the weight of all that history. And yeah, there are a couple of cafes inside, but they can be a bit pricey. Still, the views and vibe make it worth it. The entry fee is reasonable, ₹200/- for Indian adults, and getting a guide is worth it for sure. They charge in group of 4. Audio guides are also available if you want to go with it. Sure, the initial climb is a bit steep, but they've got handrails to help out. Paid parking is available at the designated parking space.

Well I liked this place with lovely places,pics and history related things. Height is lovely airy in such summer time too. Museum is good has shopping options too restaurant in house as well on the way of your tour. And yes not to forget musicians are awesome . Must visit.

It's a beautiful fort. To explore and understand the fort, you'd better pick a guide. It will definitely take 2 hours to see and understand the history of the fort. On the way, you will see an artist playing folk songs. You can either walk or use a lift by paying an extra amount. You will also see a lot of Swifts humming on your way in.

Beautiful fort. Public toilets inside are clean and plenty. The administration is good and disciplined. If you have mobility issues then take a ticket for using lift too. Else, you may have to climb 3 to 4 storeys. The fort is beautiful and so is the surrounding view. Parking is around 300 metres from the actual entrance. But is plenty. Autos are available from parking space to entrance. You can take the vehicle till the entrance of the fort, drop the passengers and then take it back to the parking space 300 metres away.

Loved the trip to fort. Breathtaking views all around. From Jodhpur blue city to well used in the Dark knight movie. We hired a guide and he gave us superb overview of history of the fort. Lots of great places to click pictures, truly feels royal up here. They have some drink and food shops up there which are much required for Jodhpur heat. Its worth taking an elevator on the way up and walk your way down. Given right weather one can easily spend few hours here.

Beautiful fort and very well maintained. It has a lift as well to take you directly to the top from where you can walk around seeing each element. The craftsmanship is absolutely out of this world and the minute stone carving is something that will make you wonder how on earth these were even achievable in that era. Every wall has a story so it is highly recommended to have a guide with you to explain each detail. The pictures don't do justice,, you really have to experience it

Wow!! An excellent fort to visit. Being in private hands, the fort is well maintained and clean. The architecture is mind boggling and worth a visit. We availed of the guide services and the guide assigned to us - Chotu Singh- was very decent, well mannered and knowledgeable. You can spend hours photographing beautiful facets of the fort. There folk singers and musicians at various points and they are very very talented. The shoes and other handicrafts sold are worth buying. Overall excellent place to visit.

One of the best place to visit while on trip to jodhpur. Try to go avoid in the afternoon it is too hot in the summer, go early morning or in the evening. From the fort they also provide zip-lining service it you have time, you should explore that too.

I don't think one stands anywhere to rate any marvel like this. It is a great masterpiece of its time and the present additions and restorations have done quite a justice to its grandeur. For me this is the most well curated fort i have ever been to. The overall aesthetics, tour sequence, cafe, museum everything is very well integrated and cohesive.

This is one of the most beautiful and worth visiting, must visit Fort, if you enjoy visiting Forts. Tips to remember: 1. Carry your own water bottle and umbrella. 2. I would suggest best time to visit is Octiber- January. 3. Wear comfortable footwear, seriously people do not think you can walk this place without proper footwear. 4. Keep a full day alloted to this Fort, if you really want to enjoy your visit. 5. DO NOT MISS THAT SUNSET, you will be thankful to yourself that you caught it, it has one of the most beautiful shadows and light play at sunset. I hope you enjoy this place too. We came to see the fort in the early morning, so no many people around, but as we were going back we saw a lot of people coming in, mainly school visits. The fort took 400y to be built and it has more than 500y. It was built from the stones it sits on. Unless you are mobility challenged I don’t think you’ll need the lift. It was just 3 flights of stairs, or maybe I missed something 😅 The building is very well preserved and some rooms are different from what you would expect.

It's a magnificent fort with spectacular details. Definitely a must visit. Don't forget to wear comfortable footwear as you will have to walk a lot to explore the fort. The fort closes in the evening at 5pm and opens in the morning. It's a great tourist place to visit, I visited in the month of January at 3pm it isn't that cold at almost 400 feet above ground level. If you are a foreigner there is a counter at the entrance where you can exchange dollars with Indian rupees. The fort was built in 1459 by the King Jodha. It's one of the largest forts in India. The place is rich with 500 years of history in India. You may need 3 hours to visit the entire place with some time spent clicking photographs. There is a lift that you can use to reach the top of the fort. You can also choose to walk if you want. The price of lift is 50 rupees up and down. The ticket entrance to this place for adults is 200 rupees per head. I went with my dad and mom. It cost us 750 rupees for entry tickets plus lift usage. The security people at the fort are very friendly. They will guide you if you are lost.

It's a major fort in the history of jodhpur. However, there should be clear instructions right at the entrance regrading tickets. There is one room selling entry tickets for Rs 600/-, which is less crowded and 15 or tourist guides waiting to pounce on you point you to that office; I think this is meant for non-Indian citizens, but cleverly, it doesn't say so. However there's another less conspicuous room right next to the entrance which is usually crowded and you can't read the signs, I went there, ignoring the touts, and discovered that it says 'General' and the price of entry tickets is Rs. 200/-. I am sure the management is well aware of this, but let things be as they are for whatever reasons!

Main Attraction of Fort is Museum and few artists who play instruments and sing folk songs. Whole Fort can be covered in 2 hours with plenty of photographs. Voice Guide facility is also available for tourists with multiple languages. Better to visit the place early in the morning as it is less crowded and convenient.

The museum is open for public. Can be completed in an hour as it's just a part of the palace. Rest of the palace is hotel. Considering the time and things to see inside the museum 250 rupees is too high. Some souvenir shops inside. And a vintage car collection inside glass chambers so cars are not visible properly. A small part of the huge Umaid Bhavan Palace has been converted into a museum and it is the only part of the place open to public. The ticket charges are moderate but parking charge is Rs. 100 for a 4 wheeler. There is a good collection of clocks here. Painting on walls are amazing. It also houses a model of the place and a souvenir shop.

It is a place with very few rooms permitted for public with display of some really good items on display. The collection of vintage cars is good but if you visit after noon it's just wastage of time as due to reflection it is not clearly visible. Overall average experience. It just remained the place on tick mark list. Visit only if you have time left and mostly in morning.

Very good collection of items belonging to the Jodhpur royal family. They have swords, Armor, furniture, wine glasses, polo equipment, etc. There are also some nice pictures and portraits. There are also detailed stories of two activities the royals were passionate about - polo and aviation. A separate building houses some of their vintage cars as well. The drive to the palace is very good; you can see the town spread out below as you climb the hill to get to the entrance.

I really enjoyed the majestic building and it is the last royal palace to have been built. Can't see the whole palace as it is used as a hotel but the area you can see has wall art that is still bold and vivid in colour. The grounds are very well kept and the place is very clean, there are sprawling views of the landscape and a small collection of vintage cars.

Nice place to walk around. They have a good collection of artifacts. However I would not recommend any guide for this as there are detailed descriptions for each and proper walkways to guide you. They have a room dedicated to clocks and this is something really fascinating. You will be amazed to see the vast collection and some even working till date. You can read some of the history text and walk around the courtyard area They also have a very good vintage car collection before exiting which should not be missed if you are an enthusiast

Had visited the museum early in the morning so was able to cruise throughwithout much rush. Overall a well maintained, clean place. Do ensure you get a guide, takes about 250 rupees but its much better than just starting at the paintings and artifacta without actually not knowing what it means.

This museum is a part of the Grand Palace and it's relatively small in size. The displays at the museum are fascinating, where you can witness antique furniture, paintings, clocks, and even cutlery used by the Royal family. Also, there is a collection of vintage cars that is pretty cool. The entrance to the museum is not wheelchair accessible but they do offer wheelchair facilities.

The Umaid Bhawan Museum comes across as a bit of a disappointment. There are limited galleries containing limited, unimpressive artifacts that do not truly reflect the grandeur of this great family. Perhaps the most striking part is the restoration of several large murals on the walls. There are a few vintage cars on display, but are boxed tightly behind glass that doesn't allow for a good view. One expected better. The palace itself is a beautiful structure, as visible to the public from the museum entrance.

This place is completely under the TAJ administration. Part of the palace is open for the tourists. The museum inside the palace is well-maintained. I would recommend everyone to visit the palace once. This is the best of all the spots . Vintage cars are also there for display.

The last of the great palaces of India, the property houses a family museum, as well as the resplendent Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel managed by the Taj group. The museum displays an amazing collection of items that belonged to the royal family - vintage items ranging from a wide array of royal weapons to stuffed leopards, antiques and fascinating crockery. There is a room with a multitude of time pieces on display and is in itself worth the visit, along with the collection of vintage automobiles. Viewing the cars is a bit of a struggle though, especially as the day advances, owing to the dark interiors and the reflection on the protective glass barriers. On the negative side, one does get pestered to hire a guide, but the same could be said of most historical sites in India.

It's like any other museum of Rajasthan. A very small museum to attract crowd towards Umaid Bhawan which is a Heritage hotel over a hill. It looks like a very new palace which is made just few years back but it's actually old enough as per it's history. It also has collection of vintage cars just opposite the main building. It has canteen and stalls of handicrafts goods. Entry ticket is around Rs.60 pp.

Its an okayish museum with some fancy collections, where the guides are more interested about telling you which rich people rented it in how much price or which movie shootings took place rather than the architecture and history. Only two good points are the watch and vintage car collection. Better to go without a guide and take time to observe.

When you enter the premise of the bhawan you can see the lane is bloomed with the beautiful bougainvillea flower. And the museum palace is so beautiful mesmerizing. The raja still leaves at the palace. One part is for tourist as a museum and if you are a student don't forget to take student ID only 30rs for the student

Decent museum with great outside views. Entry is only 60 rs. But museum is mostly the royal family's photos so didn't see any big value in that. It was nice to see the peacocks up close roam the gardens.

The ROYAL place 🙌 good place to walk around. They have a good collection of artifacts. They have a room dedicated to clocks and this is something really fascinating. You will be amazed to see the vast collection and some even working till date. They also have a very good vintage car collection.

One of the largest royal residences in the world, the golden-yellow sandstone Umaid Bhawan Palace is a monument to Jodhpur's gallantry and romance. Most part of the palace is converted into a luxurious hotel. If not staying people can still visit the museum and their collection of vintage luxury cars. Open parking spot available outside the palace and one have to pay a nominal fee to enter their premises. A perfect spot for photography I must say.

The museum is very, very disappointing. The building is spectacular, but the royal family has reduced the musesum to 2 3 halls and some small rooms, which has a very limited display. Most of the display is of the Royal family, but none of it is very special, and there is hardly any treasure troves of royal collections, and the museum finishes within a short walk. The state should totally rethink the curation and concept . I will never come back or recommend.

It is known as the Taj Mahal of Jodhpur as it is also made up of white marble. It is near Meherangarh Fort and is a silent and peaceful place.

As compared to other cities in Rajasthan, Jodhpur has nothing to offer except Meherangarh Fort and Jaswant thada. This is only place after Meherangarh fort that we enjoyed in blue city Jodhpur. Beautiful architecture with white stone. Also called Taj Mahal of Rajasthan due to little similarities. You can visit the place same day when you are covering Meherangarh. Walking distance from fort. Serene beautiful place must visit when in Jodhpur. Guide needed to know the complete information to enjoy the serenity and importance of the place. Called the Taj Mahal of Jodhpur for 2 reasons, one made of same marble as the original Taj of Agra and built by the queen's in memory of the King after his death!! Just as the King built the original Taj Mahal in memory of the queen. Beautiful scenic view of the whole city..the Blue city Jodhpur. Very close to the Mehrangarh Fort. A artificial pond outside makes the place beautiful and enchanting. The architectural marvel has photos of all the ruler kings inside it. Ticket prices at INR 40 per person and guide charges INR 200.

A very beautiful place to visit in Jodhpur. It is very close to Mehrangarh fort. You should visit this place in evening and enjoy the view for a lake, sunset and blue city. You will find space for your vehicle too and You have to take ticket to visit this monument.

The place showing the family tree of the kings with their kingdom period. Very Welly maintained place. Also you can enjoy the city view from the top. If you visiting the Mehrangarh then don't miss this beautiful place which is on the way before fort. The lake which beside of thada gives the feeling just like cherry on cake. The man play's the Rajasthani traditional song on his instrument gives the richness to environment.

It is located just below the Mehrangarh Fort. It is a memorial created for the rajas and ranis. During those times, they were cremated there and made chatris for each of them. The place is developed with the name Rao Jodha Rock Park which has a little lake and ducks inside. The place is very calm and soothing with cool breeze. Main thing i liked was the place was clean and well maintained respecting the importance of that place.

A nice peaceful tourist attraction. Located along side Mehrangarh fort, it gets closed by 5 PM, a white marble structure looks beautiful during sunset as the light reflects on the surface. There is one main structure and there are multiple smaller structures within the compound. We'll maintained, tidy place. Add this to your visit list while going towards Mahrengarh fort.

A place you should definitely visit. It's near the Mehrangarh Fort. So, you can first visit this place and then visit the fort. The fort is huge, hence, it will take time. There is a reservation just outside the place. Many mobile networks don't work there. Hence, keep cash handy. For Photo lovers, you can have the background as a lake, garden, monument or the city.

Jaswant Thada is situated in Jodhpur near Mehrangarh fort. Parking for vehicles is available. While visiting keep an autorickshaw or taxi reserved as it would be difficult to get public transport from inside The entry fee is reasonable Rs 30 per head and Rs100 additional for the guide. Splendid scene of the lake and archaeology. Beautiful garden with nicely arranged plantation. Photography lovers have good spots for clicking.

Beautiful place but there's nothing to see inside. Whatever monument you see in the pictures from outside, that's it. Nevertheless you should visit it as it is just on the way to Mehrangarh.

This is a more of a memorial of the royal dynasty. One one side is the hall which has paintings of all the rulers of the dynasty which is a marble structure. Due to the height, one can also enjoy the sight of the blue City from here. On the other side is the cremation ground for the royal members.

Was here on a Saturday evening. Was not too crowded. The ticket counter closes at 5 pm but if you are already inside you can stay till 6 pm. A beautiful mahal along a lake and a decent view of the Mehrangarh fort and the city.

The place is surrounded by a market, The place is not very clean but still it's quite better. You must try the om ji's shakes all are awesome I have tried 3 different shakes that all were really good. The market is really having very reasonable prices for everything. I like it very much.

Good shopping place. You will find everything there like clothes, jewellery, grocery and other household items. We need to bargain to get the best price. As a tourist, we need to support local shopkeepers in getting cultural items.

Situated in the middle of clock tower market, it's a beautiful sight. You can go inside the tower too and see the functioning of the clock and take beautiful pictures of the fort and surrounding areas. There were few local artists also performing fock music in the premise. Ticket price is also cheap at Rs 30 per adult.

Ghanta Ghar or Clock Tower of Jodhpur is situated inside Sardar Market. Tickets are overpriced considering one is not allowed to go upstairs due to security reasons. It should be Rs 10 per person and not Rs 25. Without climbing upstairs, one can't look at the clock, and it's working, which may interest the onlooker. Otherwise, it's an old building that must be preserved and appreciated.

It was big giant ghantaghar. It shows the history of Jodhpur. The clock were not on time, local administration should put the clock on time. We can have a clear view of Mehrangarh from the ghantaghar. It has its separate market and shops.the road was like belongs to old ancients.

Beautiful building erected by the British. Well crafted. But , extremely dirty periphery . Piles of garbage all around , even at 11 am. The sanitation department really needs to pull up its socks. Traffic jam...and dog litter ...u need to b careful when walking in this area. Deliberately avoiding posting some of those photos. Authorities can really make this place worth a ' must visit ' if cleanliness , proper parking, extended shops to be limited into their shop area. Somewhere order has to reign in....and it can b a wonderful place.

Perfect for anyone who loves shopping, food, spices fabrics and a lot more. Be ready to face the rush, as the place is filled with lots of wholesale market and local food. Go in an auto or two wheeler. No space for vehicle parking. A must have a good bargaining power jf you have decided to shop a lot..I would suggest start early.

It's a nice clock tower and good to visit while in old city. Tickets (30 rupees) can be bought on the spot. Can climb to first floor for pics and a good view. If interested, one can climb two floors more to view the clock internal functions and gear mechanism. Wouldn't suggest to go here just to visit the clock tower, but if in this part of the city, great to stop by, visit, have samosa and chaat at Shahi samosa next to it.

The tower was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh, from whom the adjacent Sardar Market takes its name. An ancient clock tower stands tall, preserved in the middle of the city, believed to be the sole source for tracking time for locals in earlier times. The top of this tower gives an amazing panorama of the city. The surrounding area is too much crowded there is no parking available nearby.

This clock tower is more than a century old and costed almost 300000 in those days. You can climb the top by steps from the inside and take a look the complex mechanism behind the four clock faces. A person is always there for care taking. The winding mechanism lasts for almost a month.

HUGE sprawling shopping complex with literally everything under the sun for sale. Historically and aesthetically an immensely freeing experience for people who have never experienced Rajasthan.

The clock tower looks great and the view from above is awesome. The adjacent market area primarily consists of small shops selling various stuffs like clothes, jewelry, food items, toys etc. Overall my experience was good and I would suggest anyone visiting Jodhpur to give it a shot. One point to consider is , the area is very congested and have limited parking spaces , so plan accordingly or avail public transportation.

Just a touristic center place with a view of the fort in the distance. A good meeting point to start your tour of the blue city and all the attractions around. The tower in itself is very hectic and busy as it's the center of the town. I strolled around the place during early morning. There were not any shops open or tourists during that early time.

This ancient 100ft tall tower, situated in the middle of the city, was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh. While climbing the stairs, once I started thinking about skipping the place from my visiting list, but as soon as I reached the top of the tower the mesmerizing panoramic view of the city made me stunned. You may also witness the setting of the sun just beside the Maherangarh fort from here. The clock tower is surrounded by street vendors selling artificial jewellery, clothes, accessories and many more. It was nice experience meeting with Mr. Iqbal whose family has been taking care of it. The clock installed at the top of the clock tower was manufactured by London's Lund & Blockley company which cost 3Lakh (clock, copyright & installation 1lakh each). I have reduced rating by 2 stars as I want to bring to the notice of the concerned authority who charges 25rs as entry fee to maintain proper cleanliness of the place having such historical significance.

Surprisingly good experience here. We didnt think much of it from outside but when we went in climbed up the stairs, we got to see great view of fort and the whole market. On top of it we got to famous Mr. Iqbal, who is care taker and technician. He was super interesting and was happy to give us history and walk through of how it works. It was great meeting him.

Pretty & historic. Really pretty sight at any time of the day, but particularly so at nighttime with the lights coming on. Nice view of the Mehrangarh Fort from this location. Large number of small shops in the vicinity selling all kinds of traditional wares and crafts. Stay safe since the area's really crowded most of the time. The roads aren't paved ones, instead just stones are laid. So be careful while walking or riding a rented scooty.

Ghanta Ghar(Clock Tower) is very beautifully architect-ed with an amazing panoramic view of the nearby area. The ticket price is 25/- if you wish to climb up the clock tower. The climb to the top may be a challenge for some, as the stairs are steep and large. However, for those who prefer a more manageable experience, the stairs leading up to the viewing gallery are easily accessible. The mechanical clock itself is fully functional, and the person responsible for its maintenance is enthusiastic about sharing its history and workings. The tower in the evening is very well-lit and looks more beautiful. Since there is a main market around it parking can be challenging and be ready for walks if you wish to the nearby areas which include very famous sweet shops and eateries.

He and his son are the only persons who know about this clock's mechanism. You'll be amused to see the clock from inside. Other than that you can click some pictures on first floor. Very good place. A beautiful clock tower in the old market area of jodhpur. Sadly what was once a bustling market centre is a shadow of its former self. You can buy a ticket to go to the observation deck of the clock tower for a view of the market as well

This is an amazing spot to get an overview of the city, we can meet Mr. Iqbal Rahim sir here who explains the intricacies of the clock tower and how it works. The architecture is amazing, it's really windy there at night. Entry fees is only 25rs. I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you're visiting Nayi Sarak for shopping as it is very close to it and nearby.

This garden is far away from the city. It has many ancient temples,gardens,centophes and monuments. Their architecture is an unmatched example of architecture. But the cleanliness is less here. This place needs maintenance which will add to its beauty. A must visit place.

The temple is amazing and the train ride is enjoyable. The train ride is a must try imo. Meusium guards won't let me take pictures... which is ugh I don't like that. Washrooms weren't clean and smelled bad.

A gem 💎 and probably my fav spot in India during my 1 month trip! A lot of monkeys and a special atmosphere. If you are a foreigner you will be followed and asked for selfies every 10 meters. So not so relaxing due to this 😔

Mandore Garden is a lovely spot to visit in Jodhpur. It's got beautiful temples, greenery, and yes, some monkeys too—adds to the fun! You can also ride a toy train here. The entry fees for this park is just 20rs. It's a bit outside the city, around a 40-minute visit, but you can take your time and relax. Plus, there's a restaurant if you're there around lunch or dinner. Definitely worth checking out!

Very beautiful was the light show. It was again a nice experience at night especially. My family and I enjoyed it a lot with my naughty boy. Must watch a night show. Be careful of monkeys and apes. They may snatch your valuables, phones etc.

A beautiful park within the city premises. It’s a great place for evening runs and walks. You will find a lot of people doing the same and enjoying the surroundings. It also has a temple and food court for feeding your hungry stomachs if required.

Lovely and romantic place for couples as well as families. Laser light show runs daily front 8 to 8:30PM. Lighting of garden is lovely. Open gym has also available. Train has also available with charges Rs 10 per person. Garden charges has also Rs 10 per person.

Good place to visit in the late evening. There is a light and sound show which happens at 8 PM. For kids there is a toy train, you can also have a picnic under the tree. The washrooms were ok. There is ample parking available.

Was here on Monday evening. The place was not too crowded. Loved the temple architecture which resembles designs in Khajuraho and Puri. The pathways around the gardens were surreal in the evening. The light and sound show was not worth the time though.

Good place to visit if interested in temples, old architecture, photography. Entry fee 10 Rupees for Indian adults. Avoid on weekends and on holiday. So much crowd, noise pollution. Nothing much to watch there, ruins of ancient fort you can see.

Excellent place for a day picnic with family. Surprisingly the temple structures are beautiful, with intricate and descriptive figurines, statues on the walls and pillars. I don't know why the temples were not promoted more as they are genuinely beautifully built with carvings. Their is a children's park, su set point on a hillock, and other interesting structures with well maintained lawns and plenty of shade.

The first experience was that the garden is beautiful and clean. Here are many things to explore like temples, trekking, and sunset points.. This place is outer from the jodhpur and well connected to public transport and easily autos available..

Mandore gardens is massive. There are cenotaphs, temples, gardens, a light and sound show, old ruins etc. Visiting all will easily take 2+ hrs. Historically this place has association with Mandodari, Ravans wife. It is believed this was her home before marriage. As of now the place isn't well kept, fairly unclean and litter all over. I heard that the Mehrangarh fort trust has taken it over and hopefully soon the maintenance will improve.

Mandore Garden is little bit away from the city which encompasses scenic garden, tomb like monuments, a temple of Bheruji, statues, Museum & the ruins of Mandore. It is believed that the Garden is named after the Ravan’s consort, Mandodari. I advised you to visit the place only in the late evening. The Museum showcases various ornaments, royal clothing, weapons and sculptural monuments. Don’t forget to witness the fun light & sound show of around 30 minutes which starts at 8 PM. The show narrates entire history of Mewar, Meharangarh fort and the city Jodhpur. Last but not the least is the ride of toy train which makes you thrill. There is ample parking available at the entry. The fountain area was found little dirty and the slides were almost broken. Note: Beware of monkeys here. Toy train charge: 10Rs Entry Fee: 10Rs

The place has lot of things to view/experience. From garden to old buildings cenotaph, kids adventure area, a temple and a museum. The cenotaph were all beautiful and a great for taking pics. Kids adventure park is also nice with around 10 small obstacles for kids. Then there is a museum and Bhairav Nath temple to explore. The entry fee for the garden is rs 10 per adult and for the adventure park is rs 20. There is also a small musical garden where there is a separate entry fee of rs 10. For the museum there is entry fee of rs22.

We went there in the evening and it's a huge garden inside a fort. There's toy train service, light and sound show, restaurant, scenic places, etc. all inside Mandore Garden. This place is mostly recommended by locals.

The garden is well appointed and enjoyed spending time there. It has a small cafeteria serving good food and the price was reasonable. There is good amount of parking space. There is a museum inside but that closes at 5 pm if you are planning to visit there, plan accordingly. There are few great elevated locations to view sunset. The ancient structures built in memory of old kings are awe inspiring and got some really intricate stone work. This would be great place to visit for someone interested in history. There are lots and lots of monkeys , though they seem peaceful, I would suggest caution. Very often the authority organises light and sound show , describing the history, its really fun, attend it if possible.

Light Decorations are very nice in this place so visiting at night is awesome here. The entry charges are only 10 rupees per person. But cleaning is not good in this place. If cleaning is properly done then I rate 5 Star.

A few years back this place was not worth the visit but now after renovating, it is definitely a must visit. All the tracks and footpaths are repaired and there is also a train. At evening, there is light and sound show and at last there is an old temple. Very good atmosphere 🙂

This is a very nice place. This is a great place to see and get lost in. I have seen this place recently. And it felt very good. And the cost to enter here is also very less. Here I really enjoyed seeing the best laser light show of the night. It starts at 6.30 pm at night. And lasts for 20 minutes.

The Mandore Garden is situated in Jodhpur. The greenery inside the garden is beautiful and gives immense serene. The elegant sculptures of the temple were designed anciently. The laser light shows with sound was good. The toy train is also one of the attractive for tourists and kids. The train takes all around the garden and completes in 6-7 minutes. Per person the entry fee for the garden is Rs 10, Rs 10 for laser light show and Rs 10 for toy train excitement (above 3Years ticket required).

The most under rated place in Jodhpur. It's beautiful and has different plants which are available. The narrow passages which are called elephant passages are quite beautiful. There are guides available who can walk through all the area. It's quite a long Trek which can take from 4-5 hours if you want to visit the full area. The guides are available on demand and you should visit in the morning. There are early entries around 8am in the morning along with a guide. They can show you multiple places where you can watch different birds. The sounds they make in the early morning are very good. Spend a half day over here and you won't regret it at all..!

Nice place to visit. We came early morning for a guided walk tour with Blue City Walks. There were no other people and it was very tranquil to walk along the elephant canal until the Padamsar Talab. I recommend to visit before the sun is high, otherwise it might get too hot. There are many steps along the way, so it's not wheelchair friendly. The pathways are quite clear of shrubs, however, especially if you're going in the afternoon expect some bugs it is part of the nature.

Hello! I visited this place with my friends on weekend. The place is really beautiful and worth the visit. But keep in mind the weather factor as it is outdoor activity. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for comfort. If visiting in summer, try to reach at 7AM sharp to avoid heat stroke and sunlight, and if in winters then accordingly 8-9AM. Though the place is exploring the nature, then why the ticket is above ₹100?

Recommended for young people who are enthusiastic about trails.Dont forget to carry water bottle or purchase from the entry as inside there is no source of water . Eatables are allowed but please don't litter the place.A map is provided which guides us the various paths of the desert.If you are lost then you can contact them on the number provided in the map guide. Try to wear shoes 👟 as it's risky to wear sandals/chappals and trek.Must visit 👌

Extremely close to Mehrangarh Fort, this is one place that you cannot afford to miss when you are visiting Jodhpur. Explore nature and wildlife in a completely different light when you visit this wonderful park. You will be stunned to see such greenery in the midst of a place that's known as a desert. Be on a lookout for some birds and animals that you can spot! Taking the guide to this place is a must and if possible, visit either early in the evening or during the second half of the day.

My 14yo suggested we add this to our Jodhpur itnry and what a find it is! The naturalists that guide you are super knowledgeable and patient. It was so nice exploring the local flora and fauna. We even saw a herd of wild boar cross us on the yellow trail. We had Vikram as the naturalist guiding us on the yellow trail and he was amazing This little oasis is run by the same Trust that operates the Fort and is beautifully presented. I didn't quite expect to see so much, but we even encountered wild boar and a mongoose, saw plenty of interesting birds and loads of butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies. A little pond in the red trail was full of skittering frogs. It was hot but there was plenty of shade to be had especially along the Yellow trail. Wonderful views of the Fort and glimpses of the blue City beyond. Good information along the trails and I especially liked the display and explanation of different soils and rocks in the Rajasthan desert areas and how they affect plant growth. And all for Rs 100. Highly recommended (as are a hat, sunblock, plenty of water and good shoes).

Got to know about this place via google and is one of the best experiences that everyone visiting Jodhpur should go to. The park has various trails. I suggest you to take the blue trail for which you'll have to contact a day prior as a guide takes you around. You won't have access to the trail otherwise. The guide charges are 200 for a group and 100rs per person entry. I suggest you go here during sunrise or sunset for the best views of Mehrangarh along with Jaswant Thada. Other trails can be explored by your own and should take you an hour

Fantastic natural park with great interpretation material and signages. Must see for jodhpur visit. Very incredible flora fauna biodiversity. They give a good trails map to follow . Carry your water bottle and sun shades and sun lotion for the non early morning trips . Early morning or later evening is nicer to go. Toilets facilities are there at the entrance. Needless to say and just to mention, it's not a wheelchair friendly environment due to the hard rocky terrain. Ticket was 100 RS per person (2023) .

A place of peace and calm away from the craziness of the old town. Maintained very well. I didn't find a single piece of plastic in my walk there. Not easy to find a place like this in India. The best kept secret is a guided walk by naturalist Harsh. His knowledge was commendable and certainly the highlight of the Rajasthan trip. If you love nature this is the place to be.

Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park located near the Mehrangarh Fort contains distinctive volcanic rock and sandstone formations. Here you can witness the attempt of architectural and ecological restoration. The park was established in 2006 and public access was granted in February 2011. It houses Visitors Centre, a plant nursery and a small cafe. Since, I visited with family (having a 6 years kid) the ticket seller advised as to choose Yellow trails among the available four trails (yellow, green, red, and blue trails). The trails of around 1km long were well-marked with colored arrows and perfect for hiking and learning about the desert‘s characteristics and geology which may take around 4-5 hours to cover the entire area. The ticket seller was very facilitative who explained us all the different sections and trails providing a useful map. The Blue trail can not be accessed without guide and hence requires to contact them one day before your visit. The elephant passages were quite beautiful. It showcases incredible flora fauna biodiversity. It is a museum of plants in the rocky deserts of Marwar. A little pond was also picturesque where you can feel relaxed. I found it as the most under rated place in Jodhpur but I recommend all the travelers to add this place to your itinerary. Precautions: 1. Visit early in the morning. In summer: around 7AM and in winter: around 8-9AM. 2. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes 3. Carry water bottle & some snacks 4. Use sunscreen cream/lotion for the non early morning trips. Guide fee: Rs. 200 for a group Entry fee: Rs. 100 per person

This park is stunning, an oasis of peace within a desert landscape, complemented by a lovely view of the fort. The place is also very clean and there is no crowd. We also paid an extra for a guide to do the blue trail as it boasts a nice view of the cenotaphs

Nice walking trial where you can experience the desert life.There are different coloured trials. It is impossible to cover the entire park as it is very huge. Try not to go in the afternoon as it will be very hot. Should not experiment inside the park as there is a chance of you getting lost. So follow the path & carry water with you.

Such an amazing nature park. I don't understand why it's not on the itinerary of every visitor to Jodhpur, as you can easily combine a visit to the park with visiting the fort and the royal cenotaphs at Jaswant Thada. The trails are beautifully signposted and the information boards in English and Hindi are really well researched and genuinely interesting. There is also a small exhibition about various natural history topics at the visitor centre, again I was so pleasantly surprised by how interesting it was. Even if you have no interest in learning about nature and rocks, it's worth visiting just for the picturesque views of the fort and the tranquility.

It is decent place. We can see Mehrangarh fort from here. Ropeway people nearby try here. 2-3 ways to explore the rock park. Various types of stone placed here nothing fascinating. It takes 1 hour to roam here. If you have extra time in hand visit here else don't waste time. Ticket is costly.

Ambience is worth watching specially if you are fond on historical places. The architecture is really unique and how deep the water level was made . It is really deep but still was considered as a private pool for queens. The steps and the construction needs repair and maintenance. Good to visit in morning and evening. Best place for photoshoot. Can be visited for max 30 minutes. But if you love swimming more time can be spent but u need to get your own caution for swimming as water is extremely deep.

It was an amazing experience to visit such a historic place and relieve the moment of super calmness. At first glance you are only but mesmerised by the magnificent architecture of ancient history and once you tumble down the stairs, you truly find how beautiful is the scenic beauty is from down below. All the small cafes that are around, give you an immense example of enjoying at peace, while you are sipping a cup of coffee and a cookie. The small lanes from where you have to pass by is something you cherish and enjoy all the old age architectural designs of homes around this place

Toorji Ka Jhalra (Toorji’s Step Well) was built in Jodhpur the 1740s by a Queen, Maharaja Abhay Singh’s Consort, continuing an age old tradition that Royal women would build public water works. Interestingly this well was submerged and full of debris for decades. Only recently has it been drained, cleaned up and restored. In the process, the excavations went down over two hundred feet to expose hand carved treasures in Jodhpur’s famous rose-red sandstone; including intricate carvings of dancing elephants, medieval lions and cow water-spouts, as well as niches housing deities long gone. The well’s original system consisted of a Persian Wheel driven by a pair of bullocks circling the platform on top, which drew water up to two different access levels and a separate tank. Interestingly, the Rajput Princess who funded the well hailed from Patan in Gujarat, home to one of the finest Step Wells in the country.

We visited this step well late last night and quite enjoyed seeing this ancient marvel. The place is located in tiny bylanes and I guess that's the reason it's not crowded like the other tourist places (which is good in a way). I was informed that in the evenings, many times, the step well is lit up with tiny oil lamps in a nice pattern which gives a grand feel to the entire structure. However, since we were quite late, I couldn't witness all of this yesterday. Maybe some other time. There are some cafes nearby where one can enjoy meals while looking over/across the step well. Overall, an interesting place which can be maintained better.

Water source in desert are start of mini civilisation. The beautiful step well was life line during those tough days of Jodhpur Riyasat. The deep water take you back few centuries.

It is kind of well with stairs, where you can easily roaming. Historical place by our ancestors gift for us. Nice place must visit here if you roaming in Jodhpur. No place for parking, Main city area so use small vehicles to arrive here.

The place is clean but not the water. You will see young kids jumping from cliff. There are lots of cafe around the place. Ghanta ghar is also 300 metres away. You can spend atmost an hour. Good place for photography.

This is has its own story and this place is recently restored by the government in collaboration with the world heritage organisation of UNESCO. You can see children enjoying the water body in summer and swimming in water. The steps are create in such a way that they store water and tells the level of water at every point. The steps are created in such a way that they create a eye catching view from every angle. I suggest to visit in morning or evening in summer and in winter you can visit every point of time.

One of the most impressive well I've seen in the whole of India. It has a perfect set of stairs and the structure is well-maintained. Certainly worth the visit.

Pretty "little" (compared to everything the city og Jodhpur has to offer!) place with ancient architecture and a pretty rivetting history and historic significance. Don't go down the stairs, it's either banned or frowned upon. Many angles for clicking nice photos.

This stepwell is quite a marvelous place that certainly leaves a strong impression in the heart and mind of its visitors. It is open for the visitors and does not have any entry ticket. Its easy accessibility makes it quite a hip and hap spot in the entire old city where you see locals and tourists hanging out. Water is also relatively very clean with almost no litter.

I visited this place in March, The weather is Semi hot. This ancient place looks like deep well used as Water Storage with stairs up to the basement of the well. Best place to know the ancient art, and also know our rich heritage. Little bit crowded place with narrow road. Market is there hence no proper space for parking hence avoid big vehicles

It's pretty much accessible on the road so you don't need to do any sort of hiking to reach. The view from the top is excellent and you can get amazing photos here. The place is well maintained and you can easily sit there for as long as you like..

I expected this place to be in an open area away from the city. Amazed to see it sited within the city. It is amazing. The water had receded and gave the caretaker an opportunity to clean the steps. Water looked green and murky. Need to make use of today’s technology of water filtration. It’s such a serene place and many people were taking advantage of being in the ZEN moment. Worth a visit to see this human marvel.

It is so huge and lil bit of dangerous for light foot person. Please mind the steps while going down. Water was clean and maintenance was good. There were water animals in the main water arena. Spent my time peacefully and clicked some pictures. No tickets no rush and it is in between blue town of jodhpur.

Stepwells in India tend to be tragically neglected. If there’s any water at all it’s often stagnant and filled with trash. But when I last visited Toorji Ka Jhalra Bavdi (March 2024) I was thrilled to see that the water looked clean and kids were even swimming in it! I highly recommend that visitors to Jodhpur stop by this site. It is adjacent to a handful of cafe/restaurants and it is in a part of town where a valiant urban improvement initiative is underway.

It is so beautiful.there are fishes in this step tank and we can go to the water level with the help of the steps. I noticed steps inside water too. The architecture is beautiful. Multiple pre wedding shoots were happening when we visited. I will suggest you to visit this in the evening or morning because we cannot enjoy it because of the sun.

Good lake. No view point for tourist. Only entry through hotel, which is costly. There should have some view point for common people.

We really enjoyed the visit to bal Samand lake palace . It's beautifully built on the lakeside with mesmerizing view of the sunrise and sunset . Food was great and authentic. The flora and fauna is preserved. We could spot so many monekeys . The lake is full of beautiful blooming lotuses.

We spent a nice time enjoying the beautiful artworks. Vijay was a really good storyteller and explained very well the techniques and history of indian miniatures. You definitively must have a look there!

Such a beautiful art school! We stayed for 4 hours learning how to paint in the traditional way - VJ was very knowledgeable and patient with us, he even brought us chai and samosas! We had a fantastic time and all ended up leaving with some gorgeous art work - even if you’re not interested in painting yourself there are tons of beautiful pieces to sift through! Thank you VJ, I would love to come back and learn more techniques :):)

We had a great few hours here learning how to do the miniature paintings. Our teacher was very patient and helpful, and we had really interesting conversations about life and culture in India too. 1000 rupees pp. Great experience :)

This has to be a stop for any tourist. They keep the culture of traditional Rajasthani paintings alive. One can either learn how to paint in the style (for free), buy some artwork done by artisans of the school, or even just admire the skill and dexterity that envelops each painting. Vijay is the school master and is also a great conversationalist.

I had an amazing art class here, so helpful and kind, great value for money too, I was paining for over three hours and got to keep the paintibg at the end for only 1000 rupies. Can not recommend it enough

I had a wonderful time today painting with Vijay. I loved learning different techniques and spending time creating my own piece to take home. Highly recommend.

Vijay is a guru of this style of painting. We went to 11 a.m. painting session and enjoyed a lot. It usually takes 2-3 hrs. We could avoid strong sunshine at the hottest time of day. He is a very kind teacher, even a beginner can try Indian fine line painting. I recommend this place to a person who wants some cultural experience in Jodhpur.

We highly recommend a morning here as part of a trip to Jodhpur! We came for the 11am art class, and had guidance from Vijay, the master, for 2-3hours. We left with a lovely painting each, having enjoyed chats, chai and creativity, and hope to return for more.

Amazing experience, even coming from a non art lover. Super friendly and patient hosts. The kids felt very comfortable with them. Learnt a lot about the local art history and products. 4 hours there and the kids (9 and 11) didn’t want to leave. Could have spent hours more. Best experience of Jodhpur.

Seems like a decent guy but towards the end he referred me to a scam textile shop, Maharani. He also sold me saffron at an inflated price, according to my guesthouse. Dishonest and deeply disappointed. Who knows if his art is legitimate, but don’t let him sell you any products from any other stores.

Easy walking distance from the fort. This statue of Rao Jodha points directly at the Fort high on the hill. The statue is mounted on a large area of Rajasthani sandstone and seems to be not of interest to tourists. While I was checking it out and taking in the view for over 30 minutes, not one other person stopped in to see it but carried on in their tuktuk to the more appealing sites. This statue is free to see and I recommend while in the area of the other tourists attractions, stop in and enjoy the scenery 😉

Statue of Rao Jodha with iron fences on top of a small hill approx 1 km from Mehrangarh Fort where he is sitting on a horse and pointing towards the Bhakhar Chidiya Hill telling us that it is where the fort will be constructed.

I understand the local reverence for the city’s founder, and while I respect that sentiment, as a visitor, I was hoping for more historical context and tales about such an influential figure in this region. The statue itself is quite nice.

It's few metres off the road so you have to take a walk on rocks to reach there. View from top is magnificent it's a good photo spot.

Average place in jodhpur if you have kids. Enjoy here with young kids but not for adults because this place is good for nature lovers, so I love to walk here.

Kaylana Lake - A serene escape in Jodhpur! The clear waters, peaceful ambiance, and picturesque surroundings make it a must-visit.

The lake is situated between igneous rock land formations. It receives its water from Hathi Nehar (translation: elephant canal), which is further connected to the Indira Gandhi Canal. The natural vegetation here mostly consists of Babool (Acacia nilotica and Kumat trees, and various migratory birds such as Siberian cranes are seen here in the winter season. The city of Jodhpur and all the surrounding towns and villages depend on Kaylana lake as a source of drinking water.

The Kaylana lake view point on Google maps is 👌👌👌, it is on the way to the Nepali Baba Mandir. Very peaceful, hardly any crowd, and a must visit place if one is in Jodhpur.

It is an artificial lake in Jodhpur. Walking here in the morning and evening is very enjoyable and relaxing. You can also enjoy camel ride,boating and zip line here There is also a lot of option here for the entertainment of small children. There are also small shops for food and drink. But the cleanliness is not proper.

Kaylana Lake is a beautiful and serene place to visit in Jodhpur. It is an artificial lake, built by Pratap Singh in 1872, on the site of two former palaces and gardens. The lake covers an area of 84 square km and receives its water from the Indira Gandhi Canal. The lake is surrounded by hills and rocks, and offers a scenic view of the sunset. I visited Kaylana Lake with my family and we enjoyed boating on the calm water. The boat ride was relaxing and refreshing, and we saw many birds and animals on the shore. The lake also has a garden and a museum, where we learned about the history and culture of Jodhpur. The museum displays portraits and artifacts of the royal family of Jodhpur, as well as the flora and fauna of the region. The entry fee was nominal and the timing was convenient. Kaylana Lake is a must-visit attraction for nature lovers and history buffs. It is a perfect place to spend some quality time with your loved ones, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I would highly recommend Kaylana Lake to anyone who visits Jodhpur.

In Jodhpur, this is the only lake. Since it acts as a reservoir for city water supply, you will always find water in it. There is a small garden which is not well maintained. Boating (motor) is there at stipulated timing. There are few lorries selling stuff like lemonade, at the entry gate. The sight is picturesque. The lake is deep and risky. Remain careful and don't be adventurous.

Kaylana Lake in Jodhpur, Rajasthan is located 8 kms to the west of Jodhpur on the Jaiselmer road. Pratap Singh, the then Prime Minister of Jodhpur, got the lake constructed in 1872. This artificial lake is spread over 84 square kms. Where the lake now lies, was once an area having palaces and gardens of two rulers of Jodhpur. They were destroyed to make the Kaylana Lake. Near to the lake is a Dak Bungalow of PHED, the Irrigation department. There are also boating facilities available for the tourists here. An ideal picnic spot for tourists, this lake offers a breathtaking view of the sunset. At that time the sky looks like a canvas splashed with spectacular colors. Kaylana Lake is the perfect place to relax or have picnics. If you are interested in birds, then, this place will further interest you. Also known by the name of Pratap Sagar, the area around this lake was once full of wild bears. It served as a secured hunting place for the royal members. But, with the increase in population it has not remained so. Don't even try to swim in this if you are not an expert swimmer. Better still, don't swim at all. Many youngsters trying to swim across this deep lake have lost their lives. Inspite of this, Kaylana Lake is a charming picnic spot. The beauty of this place will keep on lingering with you for a long time after your visit.

Phool mahal is in Mehrangarh fort..entry ticket is 200 per person and if you want a guide than 500 more u have to pay..fort is big and beautiful and phool mahal,seesh mahal adds there beauty...there is 2 temple in the fort which I highly recommend and view from temple is amazing

The Phool Mahal or Palace of Flowers is a magnificent chamber built by the Rajput Hindu king of Jodhpur. This was a meeting hall of private guests like the king or the queen's relatives inside the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. The ceiling is richly decorated with gold filigree and mirror work. Also along the lower side near the ceiling are the portraits of the ancestors of the Jodhpur dynasty. A magnificent building, well maintained, good descriptions of pictures, artifacts and the building itself, great views of the city and surroundings. All for a very fair price. This for should be part of every Jodhour trip!

Beautiful amazing marvellous super… Architecture is top notch and still standing holding a lot of history in its walls. Mehrangarh fort is place to worth visiting.

The Phool Mahal is a beautifully decorated hall in the Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur. The hall probably served the purpose of a pleasure dome of the Maharajas, and the female dancers used to stay here. Accordingly the room was made to look as beautiful as a magnificent flower, which earned it the name Phool mahal. The ceiling has golden filigree work, for which it is said, gold was brought from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. There are also some beautiful portraits and paintings, especially the raga mala series, and furniture from the British period to enhance the glory of the room.

Very nice place who loves to explore history..and adventure..we entered in different Ara wn we seen this mahal..must visit this phool mahal(Mehran ghadh fort).

Very intricate artwork on the walls but not much to see

Colourful, vibrant, throbbing with life... A variety of street food from the spicy mirchi vada, pyaj kachori, to the sweet makhaniya lass, mava kachori and the local delicacy ghewar. In addition there is the hustle and the bustle of a local market that supports artisans and their products. One normally goes to see the clock tower, and sort of stumbles on the market. The market stretches from the clock tower through Nai Sarak, almost upto the railway station about 2 km away from the clock tower. Colourful clothing is the highlight of this place in addition to knick knacks produced by the local artisans and an unforgettable view of Mehrangarh Fort at all times...

Local market, place is crowdy most of the time , must visit to buy local stuffs . Ghanta ghar (clock tower)is also there, do visit for it also

The largest and busiest marketplace of Jodhpur, Sardar market is named after Maharaja Sardar Singh, the king of Jodhpur responsible for building the Ghanta Ghar which lies near the market. This is the most famous shopping zone of Jodhpur and attracts customers from all parts of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, and the world. The marketplace is abundant with everything a shopper could dream of buying, with locals selling all sorts of products such as local fabric, clay figurines, silver jewellery, grains, spices, marble, pottery, vegetables, and many more products.

It's an old gate and old market. But you can get almost everything there it is connected to famous ghanta ghar which is famous for shopping. Anything you want is available here. Including the wonderful cafes and tourist attractions. This place has all the colors and all the variety jodhpur has to offer. If you come to jodhpur and wanna shop this is one of the places to consider.

It was an amazing experience ... Problem in parking cars ... Very crowded place.... You will find different shops of ethnic wear , saaree , food and many more... I ate best mirchi vada here .... There is clock tower which is also known as heart of jodhpur .... You must visit here if you come to jodhpur..... Especially to see old jodhpur... My experience was quite good ....

Best place for spices & provision items , wholesale and retail market ...you can see heritage look of shops and old monuments.
