An excellent place and drive from Dhordo (Kutch). It has a small village nearby. Local market, snack carts, temple, government office and a reasonable parking area. You may also encounter a small stretch of road with" Earths magnetic Field" distortion. put your vehicle in neutral and it will drive itself due to magnetic field. From the highest point on the hill- one can watch Sunrise/ Sunset, the great Kutch lake and Indo=Pakistan border can be viewed hypothetically ( 25kms away). One can watch Dhordo from birds eye view.

It's about 90 kms away from Bhuj. Road is good. There is magnetic field on way to kalo Dungar where your car/vehicle will run without accelerator even if your vehicle is turned off. One can drive a car upto hilltop. One should drive car upto hilltop if car has powerful engine and driver must have experience of driving on hill. You can see the beauty of kutch from the hilltop. There are many stalls serving food items. There are some Hindu temples too. There is a guest house for stay. One should visit it in the morning or evening not in the afternoon.

It's a good peaceful place. Temple is very good. You may feel like mini somnath. However one important update is that they are allowing mobile phones in temple and no arrangement is there for this rule. further garden area in temple is also sealed and not to be used by people.

Place is nice & quite but they don't give you access to half of the premise and the reason they give is Covid-19. Maybe they don't want to end up cleaning it again and again so. They don't allow mobile so I had kept my wallet out too. 😜

Though they dont allow to take pic, I manged to take it somehow..I visited it on the day of Mahashivratri and the temple was crowded as for every hindu and shiva followers its a great day they look up to. When I get there, i was so amazed by the fact that I've been living in this city for pas 18 years and still didn't know such a magnificent and great temple exists. It's really one of the bests.

The temple is beautiful, but what irritated me the most is you cannot take your belongings or mobile with you inside the temple. Come on!! where are we supposed to keep our belongings who has come in the cab or by walking or any other vehicle but not car. They even do not take any responsibility of our belongings if we wish to keep with them. They upfrontly deny for not keeping the belongings at the security. I was shocked with this stupid rule. If you have made such a huge premises and this beautiful temple but what use, when you cannot take anything inside. If you have a car, you can keep your belongings in the car, but if you come in a cab or scooter etc, then there can be an issue. Please make sure of these things. Quite ok ok experience but about the temple, It is definitely beautiful and lovely. Being a Shivji worshipper, it is super lovely temple and the arti is mesmerizing.

One of the peaceful and spiritual places for meditation. Generally mobiles are not allowed. Crowded during Mahashivratri festival. Aarti starts near 7:00 pm in the evening. Situated at the bank of the river sabarmati, so one can experience fresh air here. Eatery items are not allowed. Enough parking space outside the temple premises.

So please don't take youe mobile phones as it is not allowed inside the temple. You have click some pictures outside the temple main gate and garden. Somvar Sandhya aarti is very famous but unfortunately I visited the temple on Tuesday.. so if you're planning to visit the temple try to visit it on a Monday evening.

Koteshwar Mahadev The temple of Koteshwar Mahadev is located on the banks of Sabarmati River in the area of Koteshwar. Credit of maintaining cleanliness of premises goes to the volunteers. I went there on a rainy day and the volunteers continuously working there keeping viper and broom in hands. Mahadev followers must visit this place as the surrounding is very peaceful. You can enjoy the nature at its best sitting on the bench on riverside. The architecture of the temple is quite wonderful with the well designed and precise carvings on the walls and ceilings. The aarti at the temple is delight to join which offers you calmness and helps in seeking the blessings of the Mahadev. Inside photography is not allowed infact u would not be allowed to carry your mobile/camera inside. Area needs to be improved for Management: Either allow belongings (purse/wallet/handbags) and mobile in the temple or provide the facility of locker to the devotees.

Located in the heart of Bhuj, this is the historic temple of Ashapura Maa built and protected by the royal family of Kutch. You can visit the temple and feel blessed. A good and divine place to visit if you are in Bhuj. One of the oldest and famous temples of Bhuj. If you don't get time to visit Mata no Madh, you can come here and seek blessings. Had been to this place every year to take Darshan of Kuldevi Ashapuraa Maa.. This is temple with lots of traditional.. You feel auspicious every time you take the blessings.. Temple premises is maintained very well by the trust.. They also provide free lunch in the form of prasad.. Small Temple in the City of Bhuj of Maa Aashapura. Closes in the afternoon. Great darshan. There is another Maa Aashapura mandir outside Bhuj - the Main Mandir - please DO NOT Confuse this with that one. Its run by a family I guess that lives near by. Has other small temples in the premises itself. The Temple premises have Wash Basin and Clean Washrooms

Over the centuries the temple has suffered severe damage due to earthquakes,first time in 1819 and second time in 2001.There's six feet high red painted stone two statue of Maa aashapura, One is there since 1819 which one is under grounded by the pandit during the world war with angrejo and second one is made in 2001...she fulfills desires and wishes of the people who pray to her in need.

Nice place. Very peaceful. In summer you prefer to visit at noon. At that place it’s not much hot. There is one beach which is nearly 500m away. Beach is very beautiful and calm. If you don’t like very crowds you must visit that beach.

This is a memorial to the couple who set up India House in London and supported and groomed many of India's freedom fighters in the early 1900's. It is operated and maintained by the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd, and they are doing a wonderful job. A must visit for anyone traveling to Kachch.

The Memorial’s objective is to pay tribute to the contribution of Shyamji Krishna Varma and also to educate the young generation about those great Indians who sacrificed everything for the country’s freedom. The memorial is open to all visitors 6 days a week from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and on Sat/Sun 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. The memorial will be closed on all Thursdays.

Place is quite simple & small within hour u visit comple building. They show u 1 video clip then on 1st floor there r some pictures hanging on the wall there is a guide that tells u everything then on the ground floor there is ashes ov mr. & Mrs. Verma. That's it.

Very well designed and maintained memorial. Replica of India House and pictures and history of freedom fighters including the role of Shyamji Krishna Varma is a treat and an eye opener. It would appear history is being written. Wonder how and why such heroes were never talked or taught in schools

Many people visiting Gujrat from other states may not know about this freedom fighter. He has done a great by supporting other fighter at London. It's a replica of the house where Shyamji Bhai was staying in London.

Memorial of Shri Shyamji Krishna Verma who gave his hose in London "India Hose" during first struggle for Indian Independence. It's a replica of the same. Good place to visit, must visit, still developing so much information on Indian Independence struggle.

This boon was the gift of a Shiva linga of great spiritual power, but which Ravana, in his arrogant haste, accidentally dropped and it fell to earth at Koteshwar. To punish Ravana for his carelessness, the linga turned into a thousand identical copies (some versions of the story say ten thousand, some a million; suffice to say it was quite a lot.) Unable to distinguish the original, Ravana grabbed one and departed, leaving the original one here, around which Koteshwar Temple was built. Visitors can see the temple, walk along the beach and on a clear night, even see the glow of light from Karachi, Pakistan, on the northwestern horizon.

As I cannot rate the temple because it is already a positive place and peaceful atmosphere. Situated at the sea shore and there are transportation available. But it would be better if you are going with your own vehicle or on cab. So you can stay a while and sit at the temple and enjoy the amazing view of sea.

Just few meter away from Narayan sarovar. Could watch the great Arabian Sea amalgamated with this religious place while due to high tides eroding the boundaries. Have hingraj mata temple inside the Koteshwar temple vicinity. This place is deserted from the city so keep your necessities handy.

Not so public. It's WORTHLESS to visit these caves. Photos posted by public mislead this place to be beautiful. Even a DMax or Fortuner cannot take Uturn from this place where road ends at cave entrance. Approach road is too narrow and is covered with thorny bushes.

Is a really great place,unpreserved (bats,smelly and litter) due to which wasn't able to go inside and had to leave after arriving at the entrance! Not worth the travel if this is the case!

Caves are not maintained. It’s not even worth visiting, roads is also not maintain, lots of ACACIA (Babul) which creates scratches on car😡 I strongly suggest not to visit it’s waste time.

The main cave has east facing sanctum, ambulatory and space divisions which suggests a Shiva temple from the first or second century.The cave was used by Buddhists later which can be concluded based on the seals found herein and the traces of Brahmi inscriptions. Other caves are simple single cells which were probably the part of eighty Buddhist caves located near the mouth of the Indus river as reported by Xuanzang in seventh century. Local people believe that these caves were used by dacoits to hide things looted from people in past. Excavations in 1988–89 recovered clay seals engraved with Buddha images in various mudras and seals engraved with late Brahmi and Devnagari inscriptions. Other findings were copper rings, Gadhaiya coins, terracotta Nandi with bell and chain, different types of earthen wares like Surahi. Based on stratigraphic evidence, it is established that the site was occupied by Buddhist before it was again occupied by Shaivaites around twelfth or thirteenth century.The site was repaired after 2001 Gujarat earthquake.

These small caves are historical place under occupation of archeology department. Worth visiting near Lakhpat if you have time and interest in histical places. But they are poorly maintained dur to lack of attention. There was nobody to look after the caves. There was also lack of cleanliness. A part of caves was covered with wild plants. Archeology department could have looked after it in better way.

This is not something which everyone love to visit except for the people who love archeological sites and history. My pov: this looks like a carved rock buddist 1bhk house with proper vaastu.

Nothing majestic ..just ruins of old small fort...you will find many peacocks and overall good atmosphere...but bhujiyo hills gives better track and also better fort experience...

A must visit place if you pass by that road. Can be a good place for photography if you want the old abandoned remains of the old palace as your background. I will recommend it to visit during monsoon. This place holds a good history of bhuj royal family.

Great, quiet place. Must visit place for history place lovers. Just make sure to keep water and food with you as it's remote area. Also senior citizen can not walk or having difficulty needed to stay at parking...

This is very beautiful place to visit especially in monsoon times . ...their are lots of 🦚 and advised to gi with a big group as their is a danger of leopard 🐆 in this area . After all you should definitely give it a full day if you wanna click good pictures . And go in day time. Not advisable to stay their after 7:30 pm ENJOY ❤️

I went at evening. It was beautiful weather and everywhere greenery, so fresh air and silence because of on a small mount. There is kinda old destroyed city. You can see different houses. Best for video shoot or specially great for horror shoot xD. But this place is not hunted at all.

A must visit place near Bhuj city if you are either a nature lover or a history lover.. You can enjoy the view of open fields from the top of the hill. If you are a lover of history/literature then this place is for you because it is associated with the famous poet Kalapi. He has written many of his poems sitting in the fort. Now this fort is ruined due to earthquake.. It is a heritage sites.. Some structures give you the feel of watching Greek/roman ruins (I am posting pics along). "CAUTION": Only visit the fort in daytime as it is in interior area and also there is no much population around.. Going there in a big group is more advisable..
