Overall we had a lovely visit. I'd highly recommend the app to use as a map plus to view the ride height restrictions and queue times. We used this the whole time! Lots of places to eat and enough attractions to fill your day. Parts of the park could do with some sprucing up. We noticed some ride props not working and some areas quite grubby or overgrown with weeds. We're regular visitors to another theme park which we found much better kept than Chessington. We stayed on site in the hotel (highly recommended) and it came with early access to the park. Early access only grants you access to a few rides and none of the photobooths or shops are actually open which was disappointing. I wouldn't rush back to Chessington but I'm glad we ticked it off the list. We had a fun two days with our 5yr old.

Fantastic place to visit, took our 4 year old nephew and had a great day. Plenty of rides for all ages, and being able to see all the animals was fantastic, the penguin talk was informative. I'd recommend paying £15 for the refillable drink for the day, especially if it's hot weather.

First time back in 15 years. A lot different to what I remember, now aimed at families instead of groups of older teenagers messing around and jumping queues which is a good thing now. Shame the park is missing some of the good old rides. Bear in mind if you want to view the animals, you would probably need 2 days due to long wait times for the rides and that's using the ride access pass.

Was a non ride day, so only the animals, aquarium, and amazonia play area was open. Was good for a little day out, just a little crowded at times. Be aware on these days Chessington closes quite early, around 3pm.

Absolutely loved it.. Best day out for my son. Semi quiet day and was was able to get on all rides. 🙌 so much to do and so much variety. Love it. The monkey walk and ride to Africa was super 👌

Words can't describe it!!!! It was , to put it simply, an amazing weekend. So beautiful indeed. Lots of crazy rides. Some regular ones. Enough fun to go round the whole family!!!! It was worth every single penny. The hotel was simply amazing! Breakfast was great and yummy! We all had our fill. The staff were extremely polite. My son had a birthday cake and balloons waiting for us in our room as we visited on his birthday. The pool was absolutely warm and beautiful to swim in, the sauna and the steam room were an added plus! It was an amazing weekend I say. Worth it! The only downside was that on Saturday of Easter there were long queues. We had to queue for up to an hour to get on the rides!!!!!! Overall? It was an amazing experience. I simply can't wait to go back. And if you do, make sure you get on the Vampire and Cobra rides. The kids absolutely loved the grufalo boat ride!

A fun and entertaining theme park which includes a zoo. We took two kids, both under 5 and it was a full day spent with activities for all of us to enjoy. The waiting times for quite a few rides can extend to over 30 minutes so it might be worthwhile to consider the fast track options. Parking is plenty but it does cost around £4. There are good options for food and they are spread around the park.

Beautiful place to visit with family as rides for all ages packed with excitement. Also some crazy rides for adventure seekers. Themes of rides are amazing. Weekends in summer are busy at the place, so expect long queues for rides.

Great day at Chessington. As with most theme parks the queues get very long on busy days. The shows are fun but lacklustre in places (need more investment). Really enjoyed the combination of rides for different ages and tastes. The animals are a fab part of the experience.

Lovely sunny day out with my kids (my 1st visit). Lots of variety of rides for all ages. Staff were all lovely and helpful if needed to interact and easily spotted around the park. Loved all the rides able to get on especially mandrill mayhem & vampire. Fast passed a few at the cheaper prices (<£10 as £30 ones just silly prices) that we really wanted to go on and virtual queued for mandrill. Photopass was also a great plus. Loved all the themed areas and everyone had a good day. Funny watching everyone come off soaked on monkey swinger. Also really liked the park stayed open until 7pm. Think only negative was feel of the flow of the areas felt more back and forth rather than a loop and gift shops were few & small

We really enjoyed our time here. There was a variety of rides for all ages and other entertainment like the sealife centre, the shows and animals. There are always massive queues for the big rides in places like this, be prepared. The food is well questionable though, give that a miss

A nice day out, but be mindful and ready to be patient of your visiting in the school holidays. The waiting times are wrong and you’ll be waiting over an hour for each ride. There’s plenty of restaurants for meals that start at £12 for each standard meal, toilets scattered and picnic areas . Everything is signposted, but you can still get lost. The rides are hosted by very young people, who are subjected to rudeness by parents trying to push in. In general, the zoo area doesn’t have many staff wondering at all to answer your questions. I saw just one. The animals looked well catered for - giraffes have plenty of space . I did question the lack of space in the lion, sea lions, and gorilla enclosure, but I’m assuming there’s a reason for this. The sea lions were restricted in the small area to swim in, so they went in circles - not nice to view. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance as they are much cheaper. I’d return, but not in the holidays. I paid for close tarmac parking, but it was full. Great atmosphere for families and animal enthusiast. The place is general is clean.

Some really cute rides for the little one and some really wonderful staff. The person giving reindeer and session talks was so good and engaged so well with guests despite the fact she was clearly freezing! Would have been nice to have a few more opportunities to escape the cold a little on a very chilly day.

Family day out. Great place. Lots o do for thrill seekers and those that prefer something a little more tame. Zoo area was interesting but I felt the area the animals have is small. Expensive to eat here, but easy to take a packed lunch and leave it in a locker you can hire for the day (£10 per locker per day, payable on the day by card via app only). Just collect when you are ready. Reasonably flat in most places and accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Parking was easy and in zoned areas. So much fun for kids and kids at heart. Ideally two days would be better to explore the whole park. But you can get a good five or six rides in one day if not too busy. We used the Chessington app on our phones which helped a lot. Download before you go to plan your visit. Free WiFi available in the park, which seemed to work. Lots more to see and do, can't wait to come back.

Loved our stay at the hotel. Atmosphere was great with lots of activities for children. Facilities and standards of the room was top notch. They even left Freddo bars in the kids beds which was a nice touch! We had a great time at the zoo, staff were very informative and friendly. The breakfast was of a high standard and staff were fantastic, couldn't be any more helpful and accommodating. A special shout out to Christina for really looking after us and my 9-month old daughter at the restaurant. We were disappointed with the Sea Life section but I guess we were comparing it to the full-sized one in Blackpool/Birmingham. Overall a great weekend for the family at a very reasonable price. Being off-season we got to spend a lot of time at the parts of the zoo we really enjoyed. We got to experience some great moments with the tigers, lions and the giraffes. Keep up the great work guys!

To start with the negatives. The animals in the zoo generally looked like they were in a terrible state. The whole park seemed very shabby. Lots of areas which desperately needed a lick of paint or a good scrub. And the toilets were not at all clean. It just felt like a business that was down on its luck and very tired. So now the positives. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The app was very good. And we enjoyed the rides and even without paying for Reserve and Ride the queues were doable. Overall I'm not sure I would recommend this place. Cleanliness and maintenance have to be the number one priority for a family oriented venue and I just feel Chessington is seriously missing the mark on both.

Amazing hotel room. Just look at the view (directly from our hotel room window). Bed was huge and super comfy. Staff were very friendly. Food was good at the buffet. Plenty to choose from. Theme park was awesome. Love all the rides and the new Jumanji area was fantastically themed. Already booking for next year.

It was a great day trip for the family. Kids really enjoyed. There was a long waiting period for some of the rides, which is normal unless you buy the first track. Overall experience was excellent.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chessington Adventure Park during my holiday, and it was an experience filled with joy and excitement. The park offers a plethora of attractions that cater to all ages, making it a perfect destination for family outings. The variety of rides and attractions is truly impressive, ranging from thrilling roller coasters to enchanting animal exhibits. Each ride and exhibit is meticulously designed, immersing visitors in a world of adventure and fun. The staff members are friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the animal exhibits. The park houses a diverse range of animals, providing an educational and entertaining experience for children and adults alike. It's not every day you get to see such a wide variety of animals up close! However, the park does have its drawbacks. The most notable one is the long waiting times for rides. During peak hours, the queues can be quite lengthy, which can be frustrating for visitors eager to experience the attractions. I would recommend opting for a Fast Track pass if possible, as this significantly reduces waiting times. Despite this minor inconvenience, my overall experience at Chessington Adventure Park was highly enjoyable. It's a place where fun meets adventure, and every visitor is guaranteed to leave with a smile on their face and memories to cherish. Would I recommend Chessington Adventure Park? Absolutely! Just be prepared for some waiting in line during peak times.

I haven't been her3 since I was a little girl. So to bring my child and make memories was magical. Staff was friendly all around the zoo. Even with the down pour of rain it was still a lovely day. Would recommend so much to do

As a merlin pass holder, we are regulars at the park. Always enjoy ourselves. Even when busy there is plenty to do. If the rides are busy there is always shows to watch, activities, the zoo to look round and farm animals to see. Love the different seasonal shows they do.

Amazing theme park and zoo. I went there on a Friday and it was very busy. And Mandrill Mayhem broken down 4 times whilst I was in the queue for the ride. Only managed to get on 6 rides in one day. But it is a very good place to go. And the refill drinks are amazing. Lovely place

Place is amazing for kids. You need to have a full day to enjoy all rides and exploring everything. Cafes and eating restaurants are bit expensive side but yes you can take your own packed food. Good walking shoes and comfortable clothing will be good idea because you have to walk a lot.

We visited the park on Good Friday, which happened to be a busy day. We had to queue for a few rides. However, it's an excellent place to enjoy with young children. If you have a baby, be prepared for a lot of walking and bring a pram. The food in the main court wasn't the best, so I suggest exploring other dining options available. Fortunately, parking was easy and hassle-free.

Excellent day out. Perfect for my 8 year old. Not all white knuckle rides but not childish either. Expensive, but that's expected. You'll need the ultimate ride pass to enjoy the day if going on the school holidays.

Fantastic day out. Staff where amazing park was tidy and the rides where the most efficient I have seen at this park. The easter egg hunter was a great break away from the rides and made my daughter and I explore and ride rides in a different order.

The rides were alright, the animals were quite cool. My favorite ride is the Vampire Roller Coaster. I went on a Tuesday, the wait time for most rides are around 15 minutes.

Zoo was a bit of a let down but could be due to the time of year/weather, queues were fine and not as long as the boards guesstimated. kids enjoyed themselves plenty of toilets and refreshments kiosks overall a good experience would recommend.

It was a Sunday and it was early-ish, so some pasties were not in stock or not ready. The staff are really helpful and go out of their way to help you. Clear instructions and safety measures means I was able to send the kids up without an adult (albeit they were 10) and not had a moment to worry. Seriously money well spent and kids have developed extra confidence to complete tough tasks independently..

Very friendly staffs. Very challenging courses for a great day out and very fun.

Visited Go Ape Chessington with 3 children aged (7,9,11) Booked Adventure course. £20 each. There is no discount for children or families. Good set up, instructions given via a recording. Had a practice run through and we were off. Told we had an hour to complete the course and the quicker you do it the more times you get to go around. There are 2 courses both end in the same zip wire. Course 2 is more challenging than course 1. If we didn't have 7 and 9 year old would have completed both courses in around 30 mins. Wouldn't reccomend for adults more suitable for children. If your just adults then choose the treetop challenge. My daughter completed both courses with 25 mins to spare but the instructors told her to take harness off her turn is over. She then had to wait for us to finish the course. Sat in the cold outside for half hour alone. I thought she could have at least done one of the courses again. The previous people on the course spent 1 hours 30 mins. I did shout down to say can't she do it again but they said no. (This has put me off visiting again) You don't get 1 hour. You have till you complete the course. Instructions are done via audio rec No discount for families or groups Our discount Chess21 didn't work Course isn't challenging and I wouldn't say it was worth the £20 each for 30 mins. I would say it would be worth £10 if you did get a whole hour. Disappointing for us the little one enjoyed.

Me and my friend had the best day at Go Ape Chessington. She has a visual impairment and the team couldn’t have been more accommodating from looking after her guide dog to making sure she was comfortable and safe, special shout out to Robin, Asia and Jack! Over the past couple of years, I've been going to some Go Ape venues as part of celebrating my birthday. I decided this year to do this one. But DON'T be fooled, because this one isn't the most easiest one to get to. Because you might think that it's pretty close to Chessington World of Adventures. You'd be wrong, it's a bit further away from that theme park. Believe me, I had a lot of fun trying to find it for the first time and got completely lost. That is the reason why I've given it 3 stars out of 5 But with that set aside, this one is like being in a forest and if you take a look at some of the photos and videos I've uploaded, you will feel like Tarzan. (and properly smell like him as well 😂)

Very organised and staff were great. Could do with some more shaded areas to sit and wait. Other than a great experience to be had by all ages

Every time I have been to this place the coffee machine is never working. I was told that it was working last week!!! Last week, you'd think they would have someone out to fix it. Hot coffee would be lovely on this cold day. Seriously, sort it out!! Buy a new one

Had an absolute blast at Go Ape Chessington in January, thanks to a birthday party invite. This place is a hit with the kids - they couldn't get enough of it! The whole area is cradled by trees, which, although bare at the time, promise an even more immersive 'Go Ape' experience come spring and early summer when they're lush and green. Definitely worth a visit, especially when the scenery kicks in to full gear. A top-notch adventure for families looking for fun and a bit of adventure amidst nature's backdrop.

Great outdoors gift experience! The tree top challenge has 5 separate trails that you can do, one of them has unlimited zip line. It was fun!

Friendly and safety conscious staff, good challenging courses and free parking. Exit route (for cars) could have been clearer - different route to how we arrived.

A lovely addition to a day out with my eldest daughter during a trip (using our Merlin Annual passes) to Chessington World Of Adventures. A great way to spend an hour, climbing amongst the trees within a safe environment. Loving the zip wire at the end and love the climbing wall incorporated into the experience. Staff very friendly and even the snacks and drinks at the front are very reasonably priced as we learned when I bought a bottle of water for my daughter after our experience 👍👍👍

Such a wonderful experience! I had the chance to brush up my riding skills with amazing trainers! You get to ride experienced horses so you can easily learn a lot and move up your level.

Just attended my first lesson at this riding school and left feeling really happy and more confident about the idea of returning to riding. The instructor was encouraging and understanding and the horse was a real confidence giver. Great experience!

Was really looking forward to starting to ride here... When i called the office to get some more information about the types of classes they have the woman on the phone was really disinterested in answering my questions. I thought maybe she was busy so I didn't think too much of it, however when I called again and spoke to the same woman, Donna, this time to book in a lesson and again asking a few questions, she again seemed irritated, disinterested & almost annoyed that I was trying to get more information. It was really quite uncomfortable, but more so just very uninviting & unwelcoming...not something you want when starting to join a new club / school So when i asked about the payment options it was really clear that she was not interested in helping, explaining or guiding me the customer... I found it strange that this school only accepts CASH, they do not provide any receipts. They do not want Bank Transfers or payments made using Debit or Credit Cards... which is honestly quite dodgy. But the breaking point for me was when i was trying to understand why payment was CASH ONLY, Donna was quick to snap... The overall attitude of the receptionist i spoke with, donna, together wit the fact that there is no clarity on payment or options I decided to go to another school Would have been happy to start here but when you can't ask questions to the team, then it is clearly not a comfortable or enjoyable experience so would not want to waste my money on a team that i am unable to relax around. Such a shame that one staff member can tarnish the reputation of the entire company & its employees

This is a brillient riding school from beginners to bhs stage four level. The staff here have years of experience and will help you succeed! If you love your jumping then this is the place to go. If you are looking for work then you will definitely get great experience. Highly recommend! !

Thank you to Marie and the other instructors, who have taught Rowen so well which helped to enable her to pass her BHS Stage 1 exam. We are so proud she has passed and congratulations to everyone else who passed too. Thankyou to Viv, Marie, Polly and Ian for a great day competing at Wildwoods yesterday. The girls all rode well and the horses and ponies did us proud.

They welcomed me as a beginner and I get to ride more than one horse. My instructors are great.

Not a nice place. Our daughter went to a friend's birthday party here and it was not a good experience at all! The manager (Jenny) was rude to the hosts and talked down to everyone, staff, parents, and especially children. Here's an example of her talking to the kids - "If you talk while I'm telling you what to do then you will have to stand in a pile of horse poo." She took nearly an hour to sort out their helmets and make sure everyone had exactly the perfect boots (as if the boots really matter for a 20 metre pony ride). Each kid was then shoved into a corner of the riding area (and yelled at if they acted like children), and over the next 45 min each got about a 40 metre ride which consisted of: 1 adult holding the child on the pony and another adult dragging the unwitting pony across the track. I would not recommend this place to anyone for a party. Ever. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID!

This pub was great for our group of 8! Very kid friendly and perfect for our four little ones. The food was good but most importantly the hospitality was outstanding! The kids got colouring masks and balloons and though they were a bit noisy and messy everyone was extremely kind to us. We had a great time and the pub was perfect for our kids. Prices were great too! Recommended if you need to grab lunch with kids in the area!

First time here in a while and I must say it’s fantastic. Great food from the kitchen , staff are very friendly. A great vibe all round and the customers are welcoming. Stacy was fantastic and could cater for all we asked for. We will definitely be back again soon.

We arrived, looking forward to a quick bite to eat and a drink at around 1pm on a Saturday. We were greeted with a quiet atmosphere which is fine because we wanted to chat anyway. However there was no one to serve us for a good two minutes even after one of the kitchen staff at the bar saw us before retiring into the kitchen without so much as a look. We left without being served so cannot comment on the food. This place looks like it has so much potential, in the reviews online and in reality. Hopefully this is not a common occurrence for others.

I went there for lunch on Saturday with my friend for her birthday and what can I say? The food was absolutely delicious (compliments to the chef) and we received outstanding service from a member of staff called Lauren! She was very friendly and went out of her way and gave table service for me and my friend! She was incredibly hospitable and was always there if we needed her! 5* overall

Tried to visit week before but car park was full so returned another day , sizzling skillets , lovely food , service was great, it was just very cold in the pub, food warmed us up though and even stayed for dessert. Well done to the chef and server .

Came in a few days ago for food and drink with my Partner. Food was tasty and came out quick. The girl at the bar didn’t get her name but has piercings was very friendly and recommended a cocktail which was really nice, Will come back again

Decent food, good value for money, what really stood out however was customer service. The staff was very welcoming and understanding of the behaviour of two toddlers that we had with us. Very patient, and even gave us couple balloons to entertain the kids. Would definitely come by again next time we're around!

Laura and the team, have turned the place around. This has made me forget my last visit under the previous management. Where i vowed never to return. Since I heard the establishment was under new management I thought I’d give it another try. I’m pleased I did, The food was excellent the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Especially Laura who made sure that all was well & her customer service was second to none. I will be coming back for sure. Food was also very nice.

Came yesterday evening to have a quick dinner because of horrible weather but we stayed longer, much longer :D Food was delicious, sirloin steak was tender and my son ate whole grilled chicken but mostly reason was Kira. She looked after as very well- gave us a sofa, recommended stakes, checked us few times and we had a lovely, friendly conversation. For sure we will back but this time with friends to have an amazing time. Thank You Kira.

Just had some delicious food off the new menu was amazing and tasted so good! We had Gyro chicken wraps with chips. Then made the most of the new deal puddings… chose mini profiteroles with a hot chocolate… these were also amazing as expected! Lovely presentation and the new style chips were perfect! Great new menu can’t wait to try more! Service was prompt with a smile and very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere will definitely be back soon! Recommend to all to come try this lovely friendly pub and it’s amazing food.

Amazing food. Went as a group of 14. All food was served together and had a lovely afternoon. Child friendly and a very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very pleasant. Will definitely go again.

Amazing! After a long day out with family and friends we came here for dinner. The service was outstanding , we were a table of 10 on a Saturday evening with young children and the staff were incredible especially the woman who was serving us. Not only did she bring the children's meals out first, she got them all some colouring bits to do. My son has a peanut allergy and this is the first place we have been where we got to read all the ingredients first to make sure we were happy he would be safe and all his food/cutlery and preparation was done separately and cleaned down on its own so there was no risk of contamination. She whent above and beyond what we expected. The food was amazing and the value was incredible! We live over 45 minutes away and are already planning on coming over again for a lunch as it was just such a lovely place. I would highly recommend this for anyone, especially young family's as the staff and atmosphere for a pub on a Saturday evening was amazing. To the woman who served us all, you were just so lovely and we can't wait to come back and see you soon, you really could see you loved your job and wanted the best for your customers. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.

Having been a regular at the chessington oak for some time now. I can honestly say this is the best management team to date. The staff are brilliant, the food is great, always hot and always in good timing. We came with our family today (8 of us) and although the restaurant was very busy, nothing was too much and Laura took very good care of us during our visit.

Went to St Marys for Christmas service. First time on this beautiful church as we are RC, but the Catholic church in Hampton is closed. It was a lively and friendly service with plenty of music. They also organised an Advent trail round the village which we followed with great enjoyment on Christmas Eve. Some of the Advent windows are pictured here.

This was the church I used to go to when I was younger, we were also married here in August. It’s such a beautiful church with views of the river. The reverend is lovely and we love this church.

Popped in for a quick pint and was turned away at the door for not being a “local”. This was at 6pm and it wasn’t busy, I live round the corner and have drunk here many times before. What a strange little place.

Unwelcoming, rude and very slow service. Only locals are welcome here. I recently moved to the area and thought that I would give this pub a go. Unfortunately as soon as I went in, I was made to feel very unwelcome. The bar staff completely ignored me and it took me 10 minutes to order a drink. Even the management just sat there staring at me as if to say to leave. They prioritised all the locals and waited until everyone was served before taking my order. There was also an infestation of bar flies. Not a problem, I got the message loud and clear. First and last time at this pub. North star down the road was a lot more welcoming.

As big as an unwelcome as you could wish for! They had an A-Board outside the pub advertising the fact that they were showing every World Cup match. I visited solely for that purpose. They weren't showing it at all, but turned on a mini tv specially for me. Half-way through the Manager (or Owner) turns the volume right down until I stop him by asking if I could listen to the sound. He agrees and puts the volume to an acceptable level. He doesn't watch it but every so often has a peep at the screen to see how long is left. On the stroke of 90 minutes deafening music is played at full blast to encourage me to leave! I took the cue and left!

Lovely welcoming pub, Brilliant people, Brilliant Jukebox. Not so brilliant pub prices-Hop House at £5.00 a pint-guess it’s my own fault for drinking Hop House on the day I visited. Will be beck nevertheless,because of the other good points mentioned above,but perhaps will have coots Lite or Carling instead next time,to make my money go a little further !

Great local with good atmosphere. A local gem if you want a fun time out at the weekend without going to Surbiton or Kingston. New owners took over a busy pub and are very friendly. Open until late it's for me the best pub in Chessington.Has a few big TVs and a jukebox. A lot of the older negative reviews dont hold up as it's a differnt place now. A great secret beer garden, average prices, friendly staff. There are locals (as you would expect with a good pub) but it's by no means a locals only. Someone said bad food. I didn't think they even did food when that review was written. Also closing at 11 instead of 12, like any pub, if its empty on a weeknight why not close up slightly early on the rare occasion. It works both ways when its busy too and this pub at the weekend can be really busy and feels like a party.
