Devine experience. Taking an early morning dip in Holy Ganga and looking at rising sun, its an experience of a lifetime. The ghat is clean and well maintained. There is ample space for taking a dip. Iron chains are there to assist you. There are changing rooms for Ladies too. Flow of river is quite high here, so be careful. Make sure to keep the ghat clean.

Triveni ghat is famous for the Ganga Arti. I was the live spectator of that. Sitting at the ghat you can see the holy ganga. Many hawkers are there to sell the flowers, agrbartti, deepak etc for worship. There will be huge crowd in the evening for watching the Arti. Although you will be surrounded by people you will feel peace inside you.

Well managed by Shri Ganga Sabha, Rishikesh. The ghat is very long with a dedicated area for daily evening Aarti. Ghat is open 24*7 and has free but limited capacity of parking space. The ghat has steps and gaurd rails for devotees who need support. It is also wheel chair friendly. Ghat has chain barriers where people can safely bath, but mostly people prefer to cross it and feel the strength of Maa Ganga. Ghat provides changing rooms for women and dedicated washrooms for both men and women. Daily pooja offerings and plastic gallons are available to be purchased from local sellers. Friendly advice: don't hesitate in Bargaining. If you want to see the magnitude of our most sacred river, it gives you se glimpse of it and you will be mesmerised with the scenary it holds. Elephant is one of the lucky sites you can get on the opposite end of the river bank.

The site where all the Panditji or Pujaris do Ganga Aarti in a sequential manner is the finest place to go if you want to see the most genuine and well-managed Ganga Aarti. The vista is fantastic, and the Aarti is administered beautifully. Also has proper sitting facilities.

Beautiful Ganges Puja at Triveni Ghat. Reach before time to get the best place to sit and view the arti. if you want the first 3 rows then buy the aarti ticket costing INR 500 per person. If you just wanna enjoy aarti then reach around 5-5,30 and grab a seat from the 4th row. post that you would be stopped from seating in the first rows as they are reserved for aarti people. Rest you get an amazing experince of the ganga aarti.

I feel wonderful to explore Amazing place to go with a great view and a great experience to cross the bridge. You can feel the bridge movement when you cross on your feet. The place is surrounded by many more places to see like temples, river beaches, eateries and cafes. Good to bring young children too. A place to pay a visit to feel the magic yourself!

The bridge is a bit overcrowded and it seems that it shakes like swing. Huge crowd passes at same time including 2 wheelers. You might be frightened at first but it's fine, just walk and you will cross it at no time.

This is just a suspension cable bridge for Crossing the river from one side to another. It definitely looks good and you can visit it when you go to visit Ganga. You do get some awesome views from this bridge along with soothing cool breezes.

We visited here at around 8 pm and the view is breathtaking. There are lot of places near the river where you can sit and enjoy this view. The experience was peaceful here. Car is not preferable and it’s better to travel with bikes or you can walk to this place if you are staying near Laxman Jhula.

Ram jhula is one of the very famous hanging bridge in Uttarakhand. The view of the bridge is just mesmerizing. The very clean green water will definitely allow your brain to turn on the meditation mode. Unfortunately, the motor bikes going through the bridge will never allow you to get that piece. I really hope that they should stop the motor bikes to cross the river via this wonderful bridge. But i know it will never be true. Anyway still it is beautiful, peaceful place.

The natural trails are beautiful and you are pretty much on your own to explore the entire place and read up on stuff. But the caves and buildings are getting pretty old and definitely need to be maintained before we lose these marvelous structures

Visited the place during a weekday and it wasn't crowded. Secluded place apt for meditation. The place became popular after the famous Beatles band had stayed here. Currently the place holds remains of the buildings and its history. Must visit for scenic views and beautiful graffiti. Has a small museum and pictures from the 60s.

Visited this place two weeks ago with my cousins and trust me it was worth every effort we made. The place was amazing with breathtaking view. There was so much to see, feel, the peace in the air that could be felt. It's perfect place for some amazing clicks with absolutely perfect city view, some amazing graffiti, tombs and everything. Cannot be visited after sunset so make sure visit before. The perfect time to visit is dawn or dusk as it can be perfect place for spectacular sunrise and sunset view.💫🌸

Totally worth it if you are in Rishikesh and if you are a hardcore Beatles fan! To think that they have been to this place, spent their time writing their amazing songs here! Just thinking that gave me such peaceful thoughts. The place is calming and soothing. Quiet if there are no kids/ families around you. Good for a walk. I think 150 bucks for Beatles fan is worth it to get inside this place. At one corner you can also see the river flowing below you so it has a good view as well. It mostly closes by 4 so plan accordingly.

You can spend good time in the peaceful green place if you are looking for such a quite place in the middle of crowded Rishikesh. Tera Manzil Temple also known as Kailash Niketan temple or Tryambakeshwar Temple is located on the banks of river Ganga. It is one of the most important religious sites in Rishikesh. The temple is believed to have been built by Adi Shankarachary in the 9th Century. Located next to the Laxman Jhula, the temple has 13 floors with each floor having deities of gods and goddesses. The top of the temple provides some wonderful panaromic views of the river and the laxman jhula bridge. There are no elevator to reach the top but the steps are easy to climb. With its open architecture, one can get wonderful views from each floor making the climb that much more well paced. Best time to visit is early mornings or late evenings. Temple timings are 6.00 am to 7.00 pm. One can combine this visit with the Parmarth Niketan Ghat for the Shiv Aarti. The temple is definitely worhta vist. Parking could be on the lane outside the temple though during peak hours, finding one could be a challenge.

Each floor is designed and decorated with significant Devi-Devata aka deities. There is no elevator system so you have to reach the top floor by foot. But trust you won't feel tiresome at all. The temple normally opens from 6:00 am in the morning and closes at 7:30 pm in the evening. On auspicious days or occasions you may have to wait in queue. Lastly, beware of the monkeys roaming around in the nearby trees or in the corridor/balcony of the temple. They are very naughty and more often snatch your purses, glasses or phones. So capture the pictures so cautiously.

It's good to visit if you want nice view from top. However, I didn't find anything interesting in the temple apart from its structure.

The whole building is full of temples and at point, one will get saturated. It was great climbing till the top and from the top, the view is just mind-blowing. You can feel the serenity and peace at the top.

Tera Manzil Temple: Also known as Trimbakeshwar Temple, the elegant structure is located opposite to the very charming Lakshman Jhula.

Ashram for Satsangi and for those who wanna stay for longer periods in rishikesh. I met some people who are staying here for atleast 1 month so don’t expect to stay for few days. You can have food at affordable price and there is a library too on the first floor which opens in evening. As you enter the ashram, you see lot of trees and greenery and a temple in the center with rooms built all around it in square shape. There are a lot of rooms but getting a room is not easy. It is very near to Parmarth Niketan Ashram which has slightly more rooms and facilities and can be booked online also. Date of Visit - 15/07/2022

It's an Ashram (stay) for devotees and saints only. The environment inside is totally different and I would say holistic. There are all arrangements for saints living, food and sankirtan etc. There's also a Ram mandir which is clean and transcendental.

Gita bhawan offers free stay for devotees. Situated just alongside the Ganges, access is closer by the Ram Jhula. Peacefully all around.

I visited Gita dharmshala and they talked with me very Roodly and they asked per day 1000 for 1Room and 3bed. It's very High for the dharmshala Because they just give. It's cost 50Rupees per person for food. Don't go to Gita dharmshala.

This is an ashram of swami sivananda ji who was a spiritual guru. This ashram is well built and everything is well managed here. The meditation room is quite big and feels very peaceful. There is also a temple of Sri Krishna where arati and devotional activities are offered to the lord. We had the most wonderful two weeks of our life here. Not always the most easy because they truly show what dedication looks like. We attended the Christmas retreat and from start to finish learned true spiritual unity and the path to get there. We’re considering coming back every year.

A pleasant ashram. Being an ardent devotee and having read most of his books I consider swamy Shivananda as my personal guru. I have always dreamt to come to Rishikesh, pray at divine feet and seek the blessings. After bathing in Triveni Ghat, I took an auto and came here. I went inside the temple first and prayed to Shiva and later got inside the Maha samadhi of Swamy Shivananda. The place is filled with all his teachings painted on walls. Swamiji did Pooja and Harathi. We later went inside the sanctum and circumambulated around the maha samadhi and prayed to swamy Shivananda. Came out and took the teertham and prasadam. Me and my friend sat in the hall and started meditating in the silent hall. The place is so silent and so deeply vibrant that we are almost in a deep meditative state not knowing what is happening around us. I felt no sensation in the body for a while while meditating. That is the power of this place. We felt as if we were magnetised or recharged to the core after meditating at this place. We then went and had our lunch inside the Ashram. We took the plates and glass. Sat on the floor mat and started chanting holy mantras. Till everyone is served completely we started having our food. Swamiji himself personally came to everyone and asked whether we needed anything more. That's very deep and a lovely gesture. We came out and washed our places outside and walked around the ashram. We went to the library and purchased some books and a photo of Swamy Shivananda. Spent nearly 3 hours inside the divine ashram, remembered my guru who has always been a guiding light in my small spiritual journey. After a brief prayer we left filled ourselves with great peace inside just like Sri Abdul Kalam ji once experienced.

Wonderful food and a beautiful history with many amazing elements, but I hesitate to recommend staying at this ashram today. There are no yoga classes for women, plus no guided meditations or regular lectures, so it’s mostly chanting (kirtan and bhajans) and self-guided practice. There is a beautiful yoga room one can use, but it is sometimes locked so it’s hard to establish regular practice. They are also very erratic in their treatment of women, some swamis being very welcoming and others insisting that single women are not allowed to stay at the ashram. Although I have been interested in Swami Sivananda’s teachings for years and spent two months at an ashram started by one of his students, this was a very unpleasant experience for me in the end. The swamis refused to keep the yoga hall open for women to use and also refused to let me stay alone as a single woman after my family left. And, although I’m American, I came here with Indian relatives who have been coming here for a long time and they also agreed that it has lost its luster and sense of respect for yogins. (This is absolutely with the exception of the kitchen staff and many others, who are wonderful!)

To see and feel the beauty of this waterfall, you have to earn it. What I mean is that once you park your vehicle at a safe place, you have to trek on a rocky path upwards for about 2 km (you must be wearing sports shoes) before reaching Patna Falls. The waterfall is awesome. One can feel the tiny droplets on the face and furling of the attire in the cool breeze. Once you reach there, all your tiredness vanishes. There are 3-4 small eateries by local people where you can get tea, cold drinks, and Maggi. You should have cash in hand because online services will not work here due to the absence of any network. The name of the waterfall comes from the nearby small village "Patna". If you are following the Google map, then note that there are two locations shown about 1 km apart. The first location to start your trekking to the fall is now closed. Hence go for the second location which is 1 km ahead. I already suggested an edit to the Google Maps team on 25 Dec 2022. Google Maps must update and show the latest location only. Uttarakhand tourism department must promote and develop this place. Even there is no signboard.

It is a short trek to waterfall around 800m long. In first look waterfall looks normal, but if you go near waterfall and see the waterfall from below to top, it is a mesmerizing view. The location on maps is not accurate if you are going from ram jhula it is around 1 KM ahead of the location mentioned on maps.

Most underrated waterfall. Raw beauty. If you love peace and want to see nature in its raw form then this is the place for you. Do remember there is a trecking of 1200 meters steep to access this fall.

Beautiful gem disguised in a quite entrance. This place has a hike of about 1.5-2 kms. The tourist attraction is full of wonderful nature having eye catching water falls, insects, flowers, woods, greens.

Beautiful lush waterfall with small pool for wading. Weekends and some afternoons can be a little wild with day drinkers but still worth the trip. Beverages (like lime soda) and snacks are served by the villagers all day. Be careful climbing up the rocks to the second and third tiers since the rocks can be slippery and slimy.

This Water fall known as Patna waterfall . it is around 2 km trek from the road. you can park your car or bike on the side of the road. you can cover this 2 km trek in around 30 minutes. Trek is basic not much difficult. you can take bath in the waterfall. overall it is a good experience

If you are in rishikesh, you must visit this place. You can park bike but little bit trouble in car parking. Just google the place and go. You'll have to walk and hike, that waterfall is on top of the hill. You'll be exhausted but after watching the waterfall, You'll be refreshed. Enjoy the view.

Heard about this place from the community manager of the hostel I’m staying at. So decided to go there and it was a practice trekk(you need to trekk for 15-20 mins). It has natural infinity pool and a shivling in the cave.

Those who like tracking will love the place. The waterfall has good hight and continuous flow, good for bathing, but the surface is very slippery. There are some stalls which provides snacks and Maggie at some premium. There is Patna village nearby that's why the waterfall knows as Patna water fall. Two wheelers can be park in a little space near main road but four wheelers can be park on main road only. There is no entry ticket for the waterfall.

No tickets for this place however if you are coming from your own vehicle, you have to pay 20 rupees for forest area charges. Parking space is available for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers (only for few vehicles). 2.5 to 3km tracking 30-40min tracking. Beautiful place to visit, this waterfall is one of the hidden gems of Rishikesh.

Very nice and also very difficult to get there. Is very peaceful and is a cute place to visit and dp some exercise. Also is good to go and meditate or just to be with the nature a bit.

The Beatles ashram was a peaceful and serene place. It is unfortunate that the buildings are not being looked after as there is real potential for bringing the history here to life. I visited with my partner who suffers from Beatlemania and it certainly got the Beatle-juices flowing. For us, it was worth the price!

Not much to see apart from few paintings and meditation huts, entry fee is 150rs which I think is much if you just want to see the paintings. Visit the place if you are a more into art and meditation.8

Though this was constructed in the 60's everything is planned like a kitchen, printing area,Meditation rooms were the unique part of the places and many more you can visit .its also called as Betal's Ashram the English rock band The betal studied meditation there.you felt there so positive. You can meditate there for time and you can hear the ganga's water clearly.lovely place if you are in rishikesh must visit and if you are the Art of Living volunteer then must visit.

I went there with my friends and for one time it's a great place to explore but not more than once it has so many pleasant views where one can take pictures and enjoy nature and view. It has only one cafeteria inside with limited options One more thing if you are going with kids then you sholud be more careful as it has so many pebbles and stones While purchasing the tickets you have to have your id in physical or in mobile all members sholud have the id

The famous Beatles Ashram. An amazing place. Round buildings were used for meditation. And today nature rules the place...a mysterious and fascinating place...

Well if you want to explore something wonderful, you can visit this place. Lots of wall painting can be spotted on site. Old era kitchen, mess, dormitory, post office, Beatles bungalow and other important things can be seen. On the top of two to three buildings you can see some kind of dome where you can climb at your own risk. The view on the top of it is worth risking. However you might get exhaust because the premises of Chaurase Kutiya is too big to wonder here and there. The place is very photogenic

Visiting time is till 4pm. This place is also known as beatles ashram and graffiti of beatles can be seen here. Basically it was a place where ppl use to stay and do meditation courses.

84 Kutiya means 84 huts. It is also known as the Beatles ashram after the visit of the world-famous British band in 1968. The place is now turned into a ruin but offers so much to see and experience. The quality and design of the construction is fantastic. You can view the ruins of the duct air conditioning system constructed in the 70s. It is a highly recommended place to visit if you are in Rishikesh.

Reaching here may take a toll on your patience, depending on the route you take. In our case, the policemen standing at a fork told us to go left, which ended up in taking us along a very harrowing mountain ride (the other route was considerably shorter, but without the view.) The ashram is right next to the banks of the Ganges, and the banks are just a wee walk away from the entrance of the ashram. Now, at 150 rupees per adult Indian ticket, you may or may not find this worth it, depending on what you have come here to see. If you are explicitly going there to visit the place where the Beatles once lived and meditated, you may find it worth the hassle. If you are going there for casual tourism, you may wonder why you really had to come here. Coming to the place itself, it is basically a partially renovated complex of ruins. You will find many of the buildings broken up and overgrown with vegetation. You will be pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of graffiti around many of the ruined buildings, created by visiting artists from around the world: in honor of the Beatles mainly. If you climb up to the roof of one of the four-storeyed apartments to visit the four dome-shaped structures, you will be presented with a breathtaking vista of the surrounding mountains and vegetation, not mentioning the beautifully painted domes themselves. The place does leave you wondering the question, "Why was such a place even abandoned in the first place?" Tl;dr: Visit this place if you are a Beatles fan, risk it out even if you aren't.

I would suggest to everyone only those who are interested in music, art or history. Otherwise nothing else than kutiya . I tip for every Indian is to go with your student ID card , you will get a discount on the ticket 🎟️🎟️..

Peaceful place. There was a tree where 3 trees were joined together, people say that it was because of 2 rishi. Lord Vishnu gave them the blessings and told that in kalyug, he will be worshipped by the name of Bharat. There are few sculptures found besides this temple which was of before AD time period.
