Hindu temple on top of a high, steep hill with views of the Himalayas & a popular annual festival.
Reaching this temple is itself a task for every person. From the ground till the main temple premises, it has a 1 km trek, or a little more. You have to trek for the beautiful and insane scenic views from that temple. It's a beautiful temple and has snow patches till the month of March. It is 9 km from Dhanoulti. Youncan drive a car or a two wheeler to the base of the temple. Ropeway work has been going on, soon it will be established, and anyone can reach the temple sitting in a small cabinet through a mechanized ropeway over a small fee.
Kashish Lamba (Drunken Chimp) — Google review
One can visit any time but the Best time is to visit during winters if you want to enjoy in snow too.. and scenic view is amazing as the sun sets
Trek is tough during winters as walking path is fully covered with snow and one can slip easily.. and sports shoes are only preferable
Non trekkers and old age people should take rope way

Serene and beautiful.
You get there through a ropeway which is actually a great experience.
You can also trek to the temple, it's roughly a 2km trek.
The views from the temple are beyond beautiful.

This is one of the 51 'Shaktipith' of Mata. Since last one year Trolly Ropeway made darshan easy for devotees of Mata Rani. Ropeway ticket is Rs.205 per person.

This place has out of world experience..basically it is an old temple placed on top of a mountain.. sunset scenes are amazing from here.. there is ropeway service.. other way to reach is hiking.. very beautiful and spiritual place..

One of the most beautiful temple at the height above 3000 meters. The temple itself is so beautiful, one can sit and enjoy its beauty for long hours. Like the saying great views come from the hardest climb so here also there is a steep trek of about 2 kilometers. The trek takes at most 1 hr to complete. Also rope way is also in construction hopefully in march 2022 it will complete. After the trek you will get the complete view of Garhwali Himalayas. You can witness the beautiful summits of Bandar puch, chaukhamba massif and lot more. It is an amazing place to enjoy the beauty of nature with the warmth Maa Surkanda Devi.

This temple is located on top of the mountain🏔️. You can either track or take the ropeway. Ropeway ticket will cost you around 150-200 per person for both ways.
It was a calming and peaceful experience. The temple was beautiful and the view you get from there is breathtaking. A must visit place.

One of the most beautiful temple i have ever visited , weather is extremely beautifull and amazing, also the view from top ❣️ You can either go with rope way or a trek of 2-3 KM which will take 2 hours to reach temple but its a forest area so avoid going with children’s also of you have less time so rope way is the best they will charge 200 per person , so you can go and enjoy and come back.
Temple is beautiful at this height , it also looks amazing when covered with snow

Happy to visit Maa Surkanda Devi temple. Once u may go and see the beautiful statue of Mata in the temple. It is at Dhanaulti I Uttarakhand.
Rope way is timing is upto 16.30 hrs. Price is 210 to and fro to Temple. One way price is 105 only. Amazing experience I had.
Small market for shopping and great food is available here.
Best is Pahadi Salt made by locals and selling at good price.

Surkanda Devi temple is located at the top distance. It is around 2.5 km trekking, which looks like vertical/slope. you need a good stamina and enthusiasm to start it. I consumed 2 bottles nimbooz, which helped me to move forward. Also, carry a jacket even on sunny day because at top you will feel more cold but tracking on top is worth to see the glacier view.
Meenakshi Tokas — Google review
A very good experience indeed, with the trekking and the cable car. When reached the top, if u are lucky, u can find a great clear view and the temple of course is just beautiful. The reason I give it a 4 🌟 is because of the parking issue
we had to park our car 2km away, and we had to walk the whole way!
But frankly, it is worth coming here!!

Most beautiful temple one can visit. Amazing location. Newly installed ropeway makes the visit easier for all age groups. I have been there with family many times. And will visit again n again. Must visit once. Views can't be described. Weather is amazing year around. Easily accessible.

A must visit if you are going to Dhanaulti. There is a lot of crowd and traffic jam is expected. Try to go early in the day as the rope way works only upto 4:30 PM. It is a nice track of about 1.5 KMs if you are young and healthy but the ascend is quite steep and difficult. A good view of Himalayas from the temple.
Pankaj Dixit — Google review
This place is 65km-70km from Dehradun and takes approx 3 hrs. Of run to reach..The view in the route is amazing. As temple is situated at the top of a hill , there is the facility of cable-car and charges ₹205 for going both up and down.
On reaching the temple you will feel the energy it holds and a breathtaking view which is perfect for clicking insane pictures..

Beautiful place to visit.
It's approx 30 km from mussoorie and 5 km from dhanulti . This temple belongs to sati mata. You can reach the top by ropeway and by trek . 1.2km trek like hell . Suit the way according to your health and fitness. You can see the Himalayas from here. The sunset and sunrise looks beautiful. Ropeway starts from 9 Am till evening 6 .

We recently planned a family trip to Dhanaulti. We travelled by car. We started from NCR region and reached the place in approximately 6 hours.
Instead of the Mussoorie - Dhanaulti route. We took the haridwar - Rishikesh - Chamba - Dhanaulti route. This route was good and very less traffic.
Rishikesh to Chamba route is awesome and one can comfortably maintain 40 km per hour. After Chamba we took left turn and drove 28 kms to reach our stay at GMVN ( Gadwal Mandal Vikas Nigam ) - Dhanaulti Heights.
Next morning we went to Surkanda Devi Temple. Temple is 7 kms from GMVN hotel. We drove by our car and parked near the temple entrance.
One need to climb at least 60-80 meters to reach the mountain trolly ticketing counter. Return fare of mountain trolly is 195 + GST. Travel time is 5-10 min.
Once we reach on top .. view is amazing. Beautiful temple.. 🛕
Jai Mata Di .. Jai Ma Surkanda Devi

Don't go here on weekends. If going on weekends or holidays park your car as far as from Temple. As nearby there is no parking. Charges for cable car is 200each. Cameras are allowed at the top but don't start making reels and take inappropriate pics.
Trek is easy as it's a bit more inclined than expected.
Jatin Mishra — Google review
Very beautiful place. Reach before 4Pm to get access to the ropeway to the top of the temple. Or else the trek of 1.5Km (which is way way too steep can be difficult for the heart patients and people who smoke regularly).
Do carry a water bottle with you also some warm clothes and a cap which can cover your ears.
Wind here at top is very cold and is high in speed too. This is at one of the highest peaks in the area.
One can have views of chamba, rishikesh, chakrata and many other villages and towns from the top.
Sunsets from here are way too beautiful

This temple is located high up on a mountain peak, not too far away from Kanatal in Uttarakhand. You would first need to drive down to a place called Kaddukhal and park your vehicle there, before you embark on the climb to the temple.
There are two ways in which you can reach the temple - either by using the ropeway (cable car) or trekking for a distance of around 2km up the steep mountain slope leading to the temple. Once you board the cable car (after waiting in the queue for half an hour or more, depending on the crowd), it takes only 5-10 minutes to reach the temple entrance. However, if you decide to trek instead, it will take you 30-60 minutes or more to get there, depending on your age, health and fitness levels. The ropeway ride is smooth and quick, and offers a spectacular aerial view of the mountains and valleys below.
Once you reach the temple, you will realize that the climb was well worth the effort. It is a beautiful sight in terms of its architecture and simplicity. It is also clean, well-maintained and has ample space in the courtyard surrounding it. The main shrine has a small, but beautiful idol of the Goddess and you will experience calm and peaceful vibes as you stand or sit there, in front of the garbha griha. In addition to the main deity, there are idols of Hanuman Ji, Bhairon Ji, Lord Shiva, Parvathi Ji and little Ganesh Ji as well, in the premises.
The courtyard of the temple offers breath taking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It tends to get a bit cold and windy out there because of the high altitude; so, do ensure that you wear something warm while you are up there.
While in the vicinity of Kanatal, Chamba or Dhanaulti, a trip to this temple is strongly recommended, for both, religious reasons as well as to get a beautiful view of the scenic surrounding region. Besides, if you are up for some adventure, you can also choose to trek all the way up to the temple and make the entire experience a well-rounded and satisfying one!

This place is literally heaven on the earth.
The temple is so beautiful and you can feel the presence of God here.
You can also enjoy a clear view of the Himalayas from this place.
Highly recommended to add this place to your itinerary when you visit Mussoorie.

Mindrolling Monastery, also known as the Place of Perfect Emancipation, is a significant Tibetan Buddhist monastery in India. Established in 1965, it serves as a major learning institution for Buddhist scriptures and various other subjects. Originally founded in 1676 and relocated to Dehradun, the monastery features well-kept gardens, a bustling retail arcade offering antiquities and souvenirs, and a 60-meter-high Stupa containing relics.
A very peaceful place to visit and to experience Buddhism. The structures are very beautiful. Must visit.

It is a beautiful place, so calm and peaceful. The murals inside the stupa are simply magnificent. You can spend a lot of time inside the stupa in silence, just absorbing the beauty and calmness around you. Right outside the monastery there are quaint eateries that serve authentic Tibetan food. The cafe inside the place was too laid back and took time to serve a cup of tea.

It is located right next to the Buddha statue. Serene place, with wide, well-maintained lawns and a pathway through them. There are white stupas, a central shrine, an old mercedes on display, and even a gift shop complex. Usually open till 7pm.
In the evenings, the place becomes vibrant with many families and visitors. Buddhist mantras fill the air through speakers installed all over the place. Outside the monastery, there are many eateries and cafes serving Tibetan and Indian food.
If you're in the neighbourhood, it's definitely worth a visit.

Mind rolling Monastery in Dehradun is a Tibetan Monastery where many monks live and live their ascetic lives.
The Monastery is a great to enjoy the serene atmosphere away from the jostle of the city life.
The architecture here is exotic and unique and it stands out among other structures of the city.
There is a small market for buying Tibetan stuff.
The lawns are well maintained and manicured and are a delight to watch.
One thing that stood as an eye sore were short video makers who were making dance videos in the pious compound disturbing the calm and serene atmosphere.
Parking here is available and is paid.

Exploring the monastery's expansive grounds, I was struck by the peacefulness that permeated the air, inviting introspection and meditation.
Overall, my visit to the Mindrolling Monastery was a soul-enriching experience that left an indelible impression on my heart and mind. It was a reminder of the timeless wisdom and profound teachings that continue to inspire seekers on their spiritual journey.

Lovely place to visit with your family and friends. One of the few calming places in Dehradun to get some much needed peace and quiet.
They have a big sprawling property, majority of which is covered with open green lawns to spend your time at leisure. There are various other huge religious structures built in and around the place.
The most magnificent structure of them all is the monastery itself which sits right in the middle of the place and is most definitely an architectural marvel. The attention to detail on it is on another level entirely.
The place is never crowded, so it is always a good time to visit, but do try to come when the prayer is going on as it is the only time in day the doors of the monastery are open for the public.
There is also a small arcade of sorts which has a couple of shops which sell religious products and a vegetarian Cafe.
Overall, it is a very positive place to visit. Even if you aren't interested in anything religious, spending some time here will most definitely make your day better.

This is a serene place to visit. A huge area with calm environment. There are 3 temples to visit here. Even if you aren't a Buddhist you can enjoy the peace here and can meditate. The vibe is peaceful even on sunday. For entering the temple u have to enter without footwear. They have a locker for ₹3 per pair. No tickets for entry. But a nominal charge for car parking at ₹50. They have a huge campus for school, college, cafe, shops, temple and a lot more.

Built on land gifted by Nehru to the Tibetan Buddhists as they fled after the 1959 uprising against Chinese Communist rule in Central Tibet. One of the largest Buddhist institutes in India. The stupa was built in early 2000s funded largely by foreign donations. Worth a visit. One must check their shoes to enter the stupa. The murals are worth the effort. The upper level is lined with maybe a thousand gold buddhas.

Located in Mussoorie at an elevation of 6000ft, Lal Tibba Scenic Point offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. This popular tourist spot is known for its picturesque perspectives and lush green vegetation. Situated on the roof of a modest cafe, it provides visitors with the opportunity to enjoy cake, coffee, and a stunning view. The adjacent ruined estate offers an even better vantage point of the valley and surrounding hills.
From this particular place you can see amazing iconic places, valleys, and people too. One visiting this place should go around winters end or rainy end to see the clear mountains covered with snow. It's clearly seen from Lal Tibba. And from the other side you can see the entire Mussoorie and that is so amazing.
Have a great time ahead and please be gentle towards nature.
Harsimran Kaur — Google review
It is the highest point of Mussoorie and there are 2 cafes, one is Savoy cafe, famous for its patisserie and the other one is government approved (as they call it) restaurant, which also has large binoculars on the roof. But you won't be able to see much from it as the lens were not very clear.
However the atmosphere here was amazing. Cool winds, beautiful valley view and decent food. The only question is that would you spend 45 minutes traveling to this place and another 45 minutes while returning, just to spend sometime here?

Breathtaking view from the Lal tibba view point... The binoculars don't do much justice to what we witness with naked eyes!! Getting here from Char dukan point could sound like a task but amazing views treat you on each step!! Beautiful place, worth a visit!

This cafe is highly overrated. If you're going there for view i would suggest enjoy the view from outside the cafe it's free and the view is same. This place is so crowded that even if the seat is not available, the owner will let you enter, and they charge a fee of Rs. 50. The food is below average. If you still want to go there, just order a regular hot chocolate it tastes good.

This place should renamed as HEAVEN! No one can express it's beauty in words. It's truly amazing. It'll hug you with it's immense beauty after a harsh drive through the steep mountain roads. And if you're lucky enough you'll be able to experience snowy roads.
And there's a cafe at the scenic point which offers freaking amazing food with a splendid terrace view of Himalayan wonderland ❤️
Lisa Biswas — Google review
The view is breathtaking from the top. One can get a clear glimpse of the true beauty of the hills of mussoorie from here. The road to the top is very narrow so one needs to be careful while driving by personal car here. The best is to take professional and experienced driver or local cab.
There is a private restaurant here where one can get a clear view of the natural beauty. The entry ticket to which is Rs.50 but if one order something to eat from here then that ticket price would be adjusted from the bill. We ordered a sandwich, Maggie and coffee and it was tasty. One can enjoy some quality time here.
Please walk around here to enjoy the view if you have time.
Must visit place.

This point is at a great height from the city of Mussoorie. You'd be able to see the entire city on this face of the mountain, the sunset and the night lights. The whole cityscape is beautiful at night. It is blood freezing cold during winters so make sure to cover yourself up properly if you are not tolerant towards cold or wind. Do not go to the end of the road to park your vehicle, it is an unnecessary expense. You can just stop a bit beforehand and enjoy the same view.

Standing atop Lal Tibba, one is mesmerized by the snow-capped peaks, verdant valleys, and the town below. The cool mountain breeze and the serenity of the surroundings create a tranquil ambiance. A visit to Lal Tibba is a must for nature lovers and a perfect spot to soak in the beauty of the Himalayas.

This place is located on a much higher slope from Mall road. You should not visit here in rainy or foggy season, then of course this becomes worst part of trip. No such good view to travel such place.
There is just this cafe lal tibba point. Here you have entry ticket of 50 rs per head, then you can have items at cafe from that cost.
Only after entering the cafe you can use telescope to get some view.
Mostly overrated.

Nice place, can view Himalayan from here.
₹50 entry charge at Laal Tibba Binocular Cafe which will compensate in each order.

The location is absolutely amazing. Great view of Himalayas. Other than the location the point has a cafe which serves amazing delicacies.

Not worth it.
It's a hyped place, just because celebrities went to these shops.
The restaurant is charging money (₹50 per person) for the scenic point view, although Binoculars is so outdated that you will not see anything- SCAM 😡😡, you can see a better view with your EYES.
Food- not good, unreasonably high price and serve filled with cheese with no taste. Cheese, Salt or Spicy those are the only flavours you will get here. And Biggest SCAM they said Entry fees will be deducted if you order food.
Instead go to Savoy Cafe which is in front of it and still better who won’t charge a penny for terrace and even food is good.

It is a simple place in Landour from where you can get a beautiful view of mountains , there is nothing much to do here even if you plan to skip this place in Landour that is also ok. The ticket price is Rs 80 per person.
It is known for its panoramic views of the Himalayan range. Visitors often praise its scenic beauty and the breathtaking vistas it offers. The peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to see prominent peaks make it a popular destination for nature lovers.
The place is good for couples as well there is also a telescope along with cafe in lal Tina to drink and eat something.

The view from here is simply breathtaking. You can even see the snow-covered peaks of himalayan range on a clear day. There's a conveniently located cafe which charges an entry fee of 80₹ /person. The parking charges are 50₹ per bike and public washroom at 10₹ per use.

If you're coming for the first time to see mountains it could be great place but the scenario will reverse if you've been to other places.
Exact shop which is named as "Lal Tibba restaurant", charges Rs.50 for every person if you're just visiting. If you eat there, this amount will be adjusted in the bill.
Food is not that great, neither taste wise nor proprtion wise. I tried chicken sandwich. Cold coffee was fine somehow but not special.
I'll advise you to visit this site during sunset.

Saw the winter line there. Amazing view. But don't rush to the end point the google map is showing. Would recommend stopping at 100 metres just before the end point, where there's one small structure. This point has the best view and lesser crowd compared to the end point. Just sit on the floor and enjoy the sunset.

Kempty Falls in Mussoorie is a popular tourist destination that offers a stunning view of cascading waterfalls, pools and boating with vantage points and cafes. The site comprises seven waterfalls, which make for an awe-inspiring sight. Visitors can hike to the top to enjoy more breathtaking views of the falls. This attraction is perfect for groups of friends and families looking to spend quality time together. However, it may not be suitable for young children as it is located on a mountain.
The waterfall flows under a bridge. It's absolutely free to visit. You need to park you car slightly before or after the bridge. You can take the stairs and go to higher levels of the waterfall. There are shops where you can change and rent swimming trunks to take a dip in the waterfall. One such shop is absolutely free. There are also a few local food shops as well. Overall it's a good tourist attraction.

The Kempty falls itself is very pretty and the water appeared white and clear(just like you might have seen in some pictures). You can either walk or take a cable car ride to see the waterfall. You will see hundreds of people getting into the water and having fun. There are a few lookouts to to enjoy the waterfall and take pictures. Kempty Falls was only 5 kilometers from our hotel JW Marriott but I guess is a good 45-60mins. drive in a car from Mussoorie(depending on the traffic). Stop littering and save this wonderful spot for others to enjoy as well. The city has a task cut out for them to take action and tidy up this place which I believe is one of the attraction in Mussoorie!

We recently visited Kempty Falls with our family and had a wonderful time. The falls themselves are a stunning natural attraction, offering a refreshing and picturesque spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The sound of the water cascading down the rocks was both soothing and invigorating.
Apart from the falls, we were pleasantly surprised by the nearby market. It’s a great place to shop for wooden gifts and souvenirs. There was a wide variety of items, including beautifully crafted wooden artifacts, which made for perfect mementos. Additionally, the market had a good selection of items for ladies, ranging from accessories to clothing.
Overall, Kempty Falls is not just about the natural beauty but also offers a delightful shopping experience. It’s a perfect spot for a family outing, combining the joy of nature with a bit of local shopping.

What a beautiful water fall. I saw a waterfall for the first time in my life and it was so beautiful. The water was too cold to handle. I even went into the water and got shower under the water falling down. It was so beautiful. If you don't have extra pair of cloth that's fine you can rent it easily from the waterfall location. Kempty Falls is one the most popular tourist attraction and picnic spot in Mussoorie. Surrounded by high mountain cliffs. The pond formed at the bottom of the falls makes an excellent spot for swimming and bathing.Offering a stunning view of water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. Quite famous among the tourists as a picnic spot, the perennial Kempty waterfall is crowded almost throughout the year.

Very beautiful waterfall. And a huge walkway market where they sell tourist attractions and tea shops around.
But the place is not maintained at all, people spit everywhere and dumped waste.
And you will see rope way to the fall. It’s a very small rope way costs you .Rs.200 for one way. And won’t accept online payments.
May better walk to to the waterfall while going and return come in rope way.

It's awesome very calming
Loved the atmosphere there It was very soothing, although there were a lot of people and it always seemed a bit crowded, you may have to wait a little bit to take your pictures but believe me it's worth it,
. You can bathe under the waterfall and there's a good facility of keeping your goods in the locker and changing room so you can bath and keep your things away from water.
The scenes are very beautiful but the only drawback is you have to take too many stairs to reach there..
You can also enjoy the waterfalls above it they're small but very beautiful ❤️.

It's way more commercialized and that too in such a way that the natural beauty is completely destroyed.

Tiger Fall -Chakrata
Nature & Parks
Hiking area
Waterfalls
Hilly walking trails lead to this remote, towering cascade framed by vegetation-covered rocks.
Most amazing getaway so far! This place is soo isolated and beautiful with a powerful nature presence and you feel every smell and every insect. I went with my family at August end and it was raining the magnitude of the tiger fall was 10 times the normal. It was so so good. Fortunately our camp was 100 metres away which was also helpful. We found the waterfall nearly empty and we clicked a lot of photos. After 12 pm people start to come a lot and it's hard to find space there. Week days are good to visit as weekends are unpredictably crowded. You have to pay 30 rs as an entry ticket. The stone paved way could be slippery in the fall area so be careful. You can bring your pets there. There is a small 1 km trek to the high view point where you can see details about tiger fall.
I suggest you bring your own car until the lowest point on a stone paved road.

Tiger falls is a hidden gem in Uttarakhand. You have to trek for about 1 km downhill to reach the actual falls by foot or take a precipitous route by car after you reach the destination. Please do not take the car unless you have a good local driver because the road is pretty bad. There is a railing and moderately well maintained stairs throughout that you can use to go down by foot. Returning can be a tiresome if you are not used to physical exertion. There are no shops or water points while going down. But there are small shops at the start. The falls is a nice sight to watch. There are some changing rooms and toilet near it but they are not maintained well. The place is not crowded because people have not yet discovered it. It is a matter of time till this place becomes crowded and dirty!!

It's a serene place, with an amazing location of the fall..the road till the fall is not good at all..
However you can still drive (prefer a car with good height clearance)..
The waterfall is totally worth it, especially when the water is in its full might !!
There are small shops close by, where you can get tea, Maggie etc...!!
Must go with the kids, no issue at all 😊
Abhinav Aswal — Google review
Small, but still worth it when i visited in summer.
Special note: there are two parking. One on top from where proper steps are going down to reach the falls. Another down near the falls and steps can be avoided. So when you step down from top parking it almost reaches the down parking. But on the way the journey is really good.
Recommendation: with elders, small kids - go directly to down parking.
It's a very tall fall so it makes the sound and that's how it's name originated, it sounds like the roar of a tiger when water falls from such a height.

Had an amazing time at the Tiger Falls( Largest Direct Falling Waterfall in India ). The roar of the falls is truly the exciting part as it falls from over hundreds of feet high. If you’re Lucky you would see Rainbows forming nearby adding to the beauty of the place.
Make Sure to go in an off season or when it’s less crowded as it spoils the Fun and experience to Relax peacefully. Sit on the rocks nearby and experience the beauty of nature🦋

There are two ways to reach the water either you can take your vehicle but that path is extremely narrow only one car can pass at a time and also at a very steep angle or you also do a hike. It is almost a 1km hike.
Other than that the waterfall is beautiful.

The Renuka Lake popularly/ religiously referred to as the Renuka ji is located not very far from Nahan and Paunta sahab. We were disappointed to find the two different approaches to the Lake to and fro were NOT at all maintained and the "road" conditions were pathetic.
The boats were easily available which needed to be self operated. How I wish operators were also available and the surrounding roads could be manned by lake security to avoid any mishap.
Stay arrangements are also there. I am sure if there is a strong will the place could be further developed for more tourist attraction which at present seems to be driven more by the religious sentiments.

Manage your expectations with the boating sport as it's closed due to covid and less footfall, also plan itineraries beforehand.

The water kept for them was extremely dirty... I heartily request management to please look after them...it's a very humble request 🙏 save Renuka jeel & mini zoo.....

Wonderful place for a weekend visit. The walk around the lake is simply a refreshing experience. The sound of birds chirping, the noise of monkeys (sometimes frightening too!), The beautiful 🐟 fish in the water (you can see them playing next to the bank/shallow water). Walk is around 4kms and i think i heard someone saying that this is largest lake in Himachal that is not watered by any stream.
Perched atop a hill in Chail, the Kali Tibba Temple offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valley and hilltops. The temple is a must-visit attraction in Chail, along with the Chail Palace and Wildlife Sanctuary. Accessible by taxi or government/private buses from Solan, reaching the temple involves a scenic journey through lush greenery and tall pine trees.
Wonderful place. Night view is so awesome. The 5 different Shivlinga's are just amazing.

Beautiful temple having 360° view of the surrounding area.
This temple is mainly dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is surrounded by the thick oak forest.
As it is on the peak so fog is always present in the afternoon which make s this place more beautiful.
Don't forget to take good camera along with you while visiting this place.

Visiting the temple offers a serene escape amidst breathtaking vistas of Shimla's mountain chains and Sirmour's Rajgarh. The journey is an adventure itself, with narrow roads adding to the thrill. While parking is available, it's recommended to visit on sunny days to fully appreciate the majestic views, as clouds may obstruct visibility during monsoon. The tranquility and beauty of the temple surroundings make it a must-visit destination, albeit with a thrilling drive. Overall, a remarkable experience blending nature's splendor with spiritual solace, ensuring unforgettable memories for all who venture there.

Kali Tibba Temple in Chail boasts of breathtaking views of the lush green and snow capped Himalayas.
You can reach here by taxi or by govt/pvt buses which ply from Solan. Or you can reach here by bus and then book taxi to show you around. We got taxi for 700Rs which showed us Kali Tibba, Stone Temple, worlds highest cricket ground etc.
The route to Kali Tibba Temple is gorgeous in itself, flanked by tall pine trees and partly reminds of Hatu Peak in Narkanda.
Once you reach the temple, you're greeted with awe inspiring visuals of nature in it's full glory.
You'll find people taking pictures.
It is a must visit for the people who want to visit new places other than Shimla etc.

It is a panoramic Stunning Hindu temple known for its beautiful views of the surrounding valley & hilltops Shivalik range. Pristine white, wonderful calming aura, beautiful temple. We went by cab and reached just before Arti. Attended the Arti and it was so meditative. Soothing calming atmosphere, lovely weather. Beautiful chants. Divine.

Chail Palace, a refined establishment set in a magnificent 19th-century palace, offers diverse amenities such as a restaurant and bar, alongside tennis courts. This genteel hotel presents an array of attractions to explore, including the renowned Chail Wildlife Sanctuary and Kali Ka Tibba. The area's mesmerizing rainfall provides an awe-inspiring spectacle that adds charm to the visit depending on the time of year.
Great place to spend time with family and friends. It is also a kid friendly place as there is a huge garden with swings!
The lush garden and pine trees provide soothing and peaceful energy. The food at the restaurant is nice although the service needs improvement. So, please expect some delay in food delivery post orders.
Overall, a very nice place to enjoy the weather and spend 2-3 hours!

The location is beautiful .. The entire palace is beautiful.. The reason why I've rated 3 is you need to spend rupees 200 per person.. But there is not that variety of things to visit. The natural beauty is beautiful. Many rooms are locked. we were unable to visit those.
The nature of Himachal is beautiful. Gorgeous.

We visited the palace as tourists, expecting some detailed museum tour.
But it turned out to be a hotel with hardly 5 minutes worth of items to see. Almost all the areas were blocked for the residents. As a visitor, is not worth the 200 INR ticket at all.

My stay along with family at Chail Palace in the Maharaj Room was truly delightful. The room was elegantly furnished, offering a blend of comfort and luxury. The majestic view of the surrounding hills added to the charm. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. The palace's historical ambiance combined with modern amenities made my stay memorable. Highly recommended for a royal retreat.

Can visit here for a day trip. Staying here may not be as enjoyable as other resorts due to the age and maintenance and even the cost of the property. Rooms are royal but not practical. Still, one can get a different experience from regular hotel/resort stays.
Good:
- Tall ceiling rooms and very roomy due to large windows that may give snow peak view.
- Good room service and reasonable prices for food and drinks.
- staff is friendly and tries their best to make the stay comfortable.
- some rooms have fireplaces and are a must try even at the added cost in winters.
- feels like being in touch with part of history
Bad:
- Upholstery is not in good shape
- Fridge is not stocked enough and has age-old beverages without fizz.
- some bathrooms have really inefficient exhaust, and doors do not provide full privacy due to the gap in the doors.
- food may be good or average, depending on the availability of raw materials.
- given the price point, breakfast spread is not up to the mark.

''trip to Chail. Beautiful, huge temple! Developed by one person single-handedly in last 40 years. The feeling you get once you reach there is difficult to explain. Was stunned to visit the temple. Not so popular place and road to reach there is also narrow but one must not get demotivated by this. This is once in a lifetime kind of experience!😊🙏🏻

I didn't stay here, but took a paid tour. I am glad I didn't stay here & chose other property. As the Palace is not at all managed, the rooms were just big in size ,apart from that nothing was maintained or there was no palace feeling as per the prices of the room & they didn't even have enough staff to take care of the people. So I won't recommend it for the purpose of the stay.

Entry cost per person is 200/-. With this entry price there is nothjng additional available as a complimentary services. Neither any food items, nor any guide is available. You just pay to enter the palace. It is just like a palace with a garden where you can spend some peaceful time. There are notes and written documents from where you can get to know about the place. The place is beautiful but entry ticket still seems to be on higher side.
Further, there are rooms available in the palace for stay purposes.

130 years old palace but seems like recently build, such a nice atmosphere inside the palace, love the old vintage furniture, cafeteria also available inside the palace, can also book rooms inside it. The thing that i love the most is the bar. Out side it there's one kiosk where u can have snacks in the chilling whether. You have to pay ₹200 per person to enter into the palace. You have to come outside the palace if you want to talk to someone over the phone because of low network. Room prices are very high starting from ₹3500 to ₹25300

Misguided Tourist Location
1. Its a hotel which is maintained by Himachal Govt.
2. Its not a sight seeing place. They charge Rs. 200 per person to enter this building and its pathetic building.
Only lobby area is available and allowed to be seen by visitors and rest of the property is just rooms.
The lunch restaurant will remind you of railway station canteen or parliament canteen.
Do not waste your money on sight seeing of this place.
Its just a government hotel and there is nothing else there.

Entry cost per person is 200/-. At this price they should be providing a guided tour or they should provide a 200/- coupon that people could redeem in cafe for tea/snacks.
There would be no one to greet you or guide you around. Its like visiting any other public place, nothing special. Didn't get any palace like feel. It felt like a normal guest house with a garden.
Honestly, the palace is not worth visiting. Poorly maintained. There is only one cafe in the garden and it serves machine made tea!
If entry was free then you could think about visiting but trust me there is nothing to see here. Don't know why they are charging 200/- for entry only. Absolutely not worth it.

Title: A Tranquil Haven of Spiritual Serenity: Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib
Review:
Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib stands as a testament to the profound spiritual heritage of the Sikh religion. From the moment you step foot into its sacred premises, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and purity that leaves an indelible mark on your soul.
Located in the holy city of Patiala, Punjab, Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib holds immense religious significance for Sikhs around the world. It is believed to possess the power to alleviate the suffering of those who visit with a sincere heart and devote themselves to prayer and contemplation.
The first thing that strikes you upon entering the gurudwara is its awe-inspiring architecture. The magnificent white marble structure adorned with intricate glasswork and frescoes creates a sense of ethereal beauty. As you make your way through the entrance gate, the serenity of the place engulfs you, transporting you to a realm of peace and devotion.
Inside, you are greeted by the melodious strains of Gurbani (Sikh devotional hymns) resonating through the air. The melodic chants, accompanied by the soothing sound of the harmonium and tabla, evoke a sense of spiritual transcendence and fill your heart with devotion. The rhythmic recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, further enhances the atmosphere of reverence and sanctity.
One of the most cherished aspects of the Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib experience is the langar, a community kitchen where free meals are served to all visitors, regardless of their caste, creed, or social status. The langar epitomizes the core Sikh value of selfless service and equality. Sitting alongside fellow devotees and partaking in the simple yet delicious vegetarian meal creates a sense of unity and brotherhood that is truly humbling.
The gurudwara's serene Sarovar (holy pool) serves as a focal point for reflection and purification. Devotees partake in the sacred ritual of Karah Parshad, a sweet offering distributed to all as a blessing. Walking around the Sarovar, absorbing its tranquil ambiance and witnessing the devotion of pilgrims taking a dip in its holy waters, one cannot help but feel a deep connection to the divine.
The spiritual experience at Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib is not limited to Sikhs alone; people from all walks of life are welcomed with open arms. Whether seeking solace, spiritual guidance, or simply a respite from the chaos of the outside world, this gurudwara offers a sanctuary where one can find inner peace and rejuvenation.
In conclusion, a visit to Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib is an enriching and purifying experience that leaves an everlasting impression on your spirit. Its serene ambiance, soul-stirring devotional music, selfless service through langar, and the profound religious respect it holds in the Sikh faith make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking solace and spiritual enlightenment.

This is one of the most popular Gurudwara Sahib in Patiala.
Most people come here during Panchami, which is observed as a holy day to take bath. this Gurudwara saheb has a history history attached to it. It is believed that whosoever takes bath here on the day of Panchami and pay offerings to Guru Sahib, he or she gets Ni- Rogi ( Rog to bina, i.e. jisnu rog nahi rahega) . You can check the photo also.
On some occasions/festivals (such as Diwali/ Bandhi Chorh Diwas, Holi / Hola - Mohala , New Year Eve , etc ) you can witness lots of travelers here.

Manki Point, also known as Sanjeevni Hanuman Temple, is a small Hindu temple located on a hilltop in Kasauli. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is home to many monkeys. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding area from the top of the hill. The temple was recently reopened after being closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Visitors are not allowed to bring cameras or phones and must deposit all bags at the check point before proceeding on foot.
So peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It is on peak of the hills of Kasauli.
You need to be fully vaccinated otherwise you won't be allowed to pass the security.
Phones, baggages, snacks and electronic devices are not allowed in there because of the increased cases of monkeys snatching these items.
Taxis' fare is very high.

A 40 minute walk from the parking stand and a 15 steep minute climb from Air Force Station gate. The temple closes at 5pm, so plan your visit accordingly. Mobile phones/other electronic items have to be deposited at the AFS gate.

Kasauli Lower mall Road to Monkey (Manki) point is about 4 KM walk (restricted area, no taxi allowed). After about 2 KM at check point (area controlled by Indian Air Force) all electronic items and bags must be handed overed. Atop small but steep mountain visited "Hanmun temple", small cafeteria, wash rooms are available. Tranquil views with lots pine trees enroute and nice flowers around the walk was quite manageable, had awesome experience.

We rented out cab small car for Rs500, including 5 members in celerio. 10 min rides through car.
Beautiful temple situated at top hill, you need to trek for 15-25 minutes, trek is easy.
Your phone will be submitted at gate entry because it is air force area so phones, cameras are prohibited inside this area.
If you are carrying prashad be alrert because monkey will snatch it while going back, so hide it properly otherwise monkey will snatch it.

There is Hanuman temple at highest peak of hill.
1. Take a cab from kasauli market, it takes 10 minutes to reach there.
2. Its military area so you are not allowed to take any electronics gadgets even phone, smart watch, charger, airpods.
3. At entry gate you can deposit your phone and bag with charges.
4. After that they will give you ID card and ask for checking.
5. Its takes 15-20 minutes to climb only through stairs.
6. You can enjoy beauty of nature in minimum 1 hour and maximum 2 hour.
Note - Only temple is there and canteen is also there at top.
Bohar Singh — Google review
To reach this point one can either get a taxi or walk from Mall road. It's around 4km if you want to walk and it's doable for almost everyone. Once you reach the main entry point, you'll have to show an ID card and deposit any bag and electronics equipment (smartphone/smartwatch/cameras) as most of the reviews mentioned. There is a small deposit fee (50 for a bag with 2 phones). From the main entrance you'll still need to walk 5 mins to reach the main stairway, from where you can get to the top. The view at the top is great but if you're unlucky (like me) and go when there's foggy weather you won't be able to fully appreciate it. The only flaw is that there's no decent food points in the whole complex. The closest one is on the Mall road.

Mandir photos are not available bcz all electronic devices were submitted by Air Force bcz of safety reasons.. Beware of Monkeys please don't carry any items above not even a bottle of water or bag... They ll snatch it for sure and can even hurt you. Leave the Prasad of Mandir also above only.

We have to take a cab from market to Manki point
It takes 50₹ per person one side.
Up there mobile is not allowed and around 500 steps are there upto the top of hill. The view is just awesome.
Above 60 age are advised to think thrice before going up as the steps are inclined and very arduous task for elders.

The best view point I must say, the place was open after staying closed due to Covid. No camera or phones are allowed, we have to deposit all bags at the check point and then proceed on foot. Situated in a defence area, the climb atop the hill is fun, there are steps in few pathways... but when you reach the top the view is magical and a must see... spending time at the top is very peaceful. Must go. No phones were allowed hence no photos to upload.

The peace at the temple is worth the climb.
Lunch time at the pass issuing counter is 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Please make sure not to carry anything that is not permitted. As far as water bottle is concerned, carry as small as possible. There are monkeys on the path and will snatch anything in your hand but will not bother you if you don't bother them.

A divine experience. It is approx 500 metres walk inside the Airforce Complex before you reach the base from where there is an approx 500 metres climb up the hill to the temple. The climb is steep but is not as difficult as some people sound in the reviews. There are enough benches enroute…. one can catch a breath whenever required and continue. It is a proper covered, concrete paved way, interspersed with stairs. There is a restaurant and a Prasad Shop on top. There are a few monkeys enroute but they are used to humans and do not disturb you….. but will grab any eatables…. so do not carry ANY eatables….. even the Prasad on the way down !! Apart from the divine experience, the view from top is breathtaking.
Girish Kumar — Google review
The temple is almost 2.5 kms from mall road parking. You can get taxis from the parking area, personal vehicles are not allowed. The taxis will cost INR 200 one side. You should carry a small bag with you to deposit your phone and smart watch at the counter.
There are staircases and ramp to reach the top. It's a good height of around 500ms to climb to reach the temple. You will take about 30-45 minutes to reach on the top.
You can buy Prasad on the top itself. There is a small shop where you can eat snacks but don't forget to carry cash because you will not have for phone with you and card doesn't work here.
It's quite windy at the top so don't forget to carry a stall or a light sweater based on the weather you can decide
The entry is till 1PM in the afternoon and than it reopens at 2PM. The temple is not closed just at the entry gate where you get passes these people are on lunch break.
It's advised to wear shoes because the stairs are Rocky and good distance to walk.
While coming back as well you can get taxis. Same INR 200 each side.
Be careful with the monkeys. Don't carry eatables which are visible to them. You can have something in your bag or pocket.
Overall It's a good experience

Manki point or the sanjeevni hanuman mandir is situated inside the air force area in kasauli, himachal and you're not allowed to carry any electronic items inside the airforce area, they provide with paid lockers to keep your stuff.
Then there are mandir steps of 500m but on mount height. It's quite exhausting climbing those steps up, but when you reach on the top that feeling of temple and view from that top is just mind blowing.
Legend behind temple:
The legend says that during Ramayan, when lord Lakshman was injured and Hanuman ji was asked to carry sanjeevni for him, his one foot touched this mount top and hence people made a temple there dedicating to him.

This was a beautiful calm place with lovely views. It was a great place to walk and along with nice tracks and even found the big Buddha statue down the back. Nice and flat, easy to walk and very pretty.

This is more than just a lake with lots of fun things to do. For starters, there are several food kiosks with moderate prices and a wide range of selections.
Boating is the main attraction, and there are various alternatives available, including paddle, row, and shikhara boats. The view is spectacular, and there are various additional activities available, such as rock climbing and mini swings, to help you unwind. This is the most crowded spot in Chandigarh, yet it is also the most beautiful. You may unwind and enjoy the scenery while spending the evening with family or friends at a reasonable fee. The boating time is half an hour, but it was well worth it for a paddle with the choice of two or four people in a boat. This is a must-see place in Chandigarh.

Visiting Sukhna Lake in the evening is the best time to do so. Boating is also available here. There is also a good selection of food options. There are vendors selling everything from South Indian food to Chinese food. Chandigarh's most picturesque place.

Great place for hangout. It's a tourist place. People who came Chandigarh from other areas, always visit Sukhna Lake. The view of sukhna lake in evening is amazing. When I went there, I just sat on the boundary to feel the silence and calmness of that place. Along the Sukhna lake there's a long route for walking.

Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh is a sizable lake, and the best time to visit is in the evening when boating facilities are available. However, in windy weather, boating may not be available for safety reasons. There are plenty of eateries at the entrance of the lake, making it the ideal place to spend quality time, especially for some 'me' time.

It was my first place that I visited after coming to Chandigarh. The sunset was looking beautiful ❤️ and the air was flowing slowly. You can visit this place alone or with your friends and family.
Boating is available. You can take the rides as well. You will find the peace and the fresh air.
You can get the auto rickshaw from Shivalik park easily. Charge you around 20-30 rs.

The Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh weaves a magical tapestry of serenity and splendor. This picturesque man-made marvel, born from the vision of the great architect Le Corbusier, stands as a true oasis amidst the modern chaos of the city.
Imagine a place where time seems to slow down, and worries melt away like droplets on the lake's glassy surface. Sukhna Lake beckons you with open arms, inviting you to escape the mundane and embrace the extraordinary. The verdant foliage of the Shivalik Hills embraces you like a warm hug. The gentle breeze carries the faint melody of birdsong, setting the stage for a symphony of nature's finest performance. One can have an awesome view of the sunrise over there with cold Breeze and pleasant weather.
Majestic migratory birds from distant lands descend upon Sukhna Lake, transforming it into a vibrant aviary. They paint the skies with their grace, and birdwatchers and photographers alike are left spellbound by this feathery spectacle. As the sun dips below the horizon, the lake dons its golden cloak, and the air becomes infused with the aroma of camaraderie and laughter. Families gather for heartwarming picnics, children chase each other with gleeful abandon, and friends share stories that will echo in their hearts for eternity.
Things to do at the Sukhna Lake :

3. Jogging and Morning Walks

Most picturesque place of chandigarh Sukhna Lake is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation.
It has ample food joints in the food court, drinking water facilities, boating facilities (Rs 250 for 2 seater boat + 250 as security). Good for nature lovers.

I have been visiting this place for past 20 years and it still holds the charm. It brings peace and tranquility. Walking the entire track feels amazing while looking at the greenery on one side and the water with paddle boats and kayaks on the other side. It's one of the most inclusive public spaces I have come across in India. There are people running, walking, doing exercise, couples, elderly, kids and a lot more. Sukhna has something to offer to everyone. I prefer the Garden of Silence side as it's more peaceful compare to the entrance.
Monsoon is one of the good times as everything is lush green and the lake is full. Winter is also great as you can sit and relax on the toasty stone embankment or the grass and eat oranges and soak in the sun.
It's a place one must visit if going to Chandigarh.

The place is absolutely worth the trail. The walk is about 3 kms and there are two roads leading to the same point. One is from the side of a hill on the edge, where you can see the rest of the valley and mountains . The other is from an inside road where cars usually go. They both meet at a road where you'll find a tuck shop , you can get a couple of snacks options and juice and water there. And then just about 500 mtrs ahead you see the sunset point. It has a couple of seating spots. If you're early, you can occupy one. The view is breathtaking and it gets pretty cold and windy (feels like under 10°) so make sure you carry a cap, or muffler and an extra layer to cover yourself. There's swings and a bathroom as well but it doesn't have running water. Could be a bit more maintained. Post sunset , it can get dark very quickly but the way back isn't lonely at all since many people walk back from there. The sky on your trail back turns into many hues of warm and cold tones. Spent hours here in this quaint and serene spot.

Sunset Point in Kasauli is a unique place. It's friendly for all ages to wait at, for the sun to set. The walk to the point is a trudge about a kilometer. It's worth it. Noticed that the sun doesn't set, it goes into the background and merges in the sky in beautiful colors yellow, orange, brown......extraordinary !!!!

Amazing experience of sunset here. The lights, shades, and colors that one experiences here are beyond words. Uncle's tea is a relief here after the long trek to this point. Reach a bit early to have a better viewing spot as it gets crowded around the sunset.
Washrooms could be cleaner as they are paid...elderly people would definitely enjoy the view but reaching there could be a challenge. If paid golf cart service can be arranged, then it would be great for them.
Request to all: Please do not litter this place as it is one of the cleaner places among sunset points.

The walk to this point is beautiful. But you'll get better views along the way rather than there. Although one of the only things you could do while in/near Kasauli.

It is a nice walk reaching to the sunset point. The views are amazing from here. There are some swings/Jhula for children. Public toilet is there which you can only find at this place only throughout Kasauli.

Overall it is worth going there if you really want to enjoy walking because it is almost 2 km. walking from the main market.
You cannot go on your bike or car, it is a cantonment area so you have to walk only throughout the Kasauli.

Its a nice walk up till the sunset point in Kasauli. Its a nice tourist place but to reach there you need to book taxi from Kasauli as your car is not allowed in cantonment area. Your car will be parked in the parking and you will have to walk till old Kasauli heritage Mall road. For sunset point as well as manki point you will need a local taxi which will charge around 300 to 500 rs for return fare. Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Chandigarh is believed to be the largest rose garden in Asia.
In addition to roses, the promotional literature says there are over 1000 varieties there, there are also several medicinal herbs, plants and trees. The roses are laid out in aesthetically designed flowerbeds, surrounded by beautifully landscaped areas interspersed with trees and flowering shrubs.
I couldn't see the garden in full bloom as I visited towards the end of March in 2015, after the Rose Festival was over, and many of the flowerbeds were being relaid for the next season.
There are some fountains towards one of the entrances, and a large wind chime.

I visited the rose garden in Chandigarh with my family last week. It is supposed to be the largest rose garden in Asia, but I was disappointed by the lack of roses. There were very few roses and they were not very colorful or fragrant. The garden looked more like a regular park with swings and slides for kids and a fountain for decoration. The only positive thing was that my son enjoyed playing on the slides and swings for an hour. I think the rose garden needs more attention and improvement to live up to its name and reputation.

The Masroor Rock Cut Temple is a cluster of monolithic sandstone temples located in North India. These ornate structures were carved from living rock between the 8th and 10th centuries, displaying beautiful architectural carvings that have suffered severe erosion over time. The temple complex bears similarities to smaller temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia and offers a stunning reflection when viewed from the nearby tank.
This is a rare monolithic temple of Northern India. It is a marvelous heritage of India.

A peaceful tranquil place that gives you a view that will be with you for life. The view of the temple from across the lake is the best. While it can get really hot during peak summer the way we experienced in June 22, however if you carry an umbrella, you can walk around without much fatigue.
There is plenty of shade to sit and enjoy the view. You can also walk beyond the lake to enjoy some Maggi or other quick snacks or biscuits or soft drinks.
Photo options are a plenty.
Overall a place worth going to and spending at least couple of hours to soak in the peace and awe of the view and wonder about how many centuries back people would have carved out these structures and what would've motivated them to do it.

A hidden beauty far away from all the limelight. Takes about 2hrs to reach from Dharmashala by car. No bus routes available nearby. A digital entry fee directly payable through app( no cash taken). This temple is in complete ruins post a massive earthquake in 1800’s. No much history is known, no guides available. But the massive ruins speaks for itself the magnificent temple that existed earlier. A pond is beautifully constructed in front, which still has certain ruins beneath it. Apart from the ruins, the view of the temple from the top is heart breaking! However, the sunset view is spectacular at the top!

The Rock Cut Temples of Masroor, located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India, are an impressive architectural marvel dating back to the 8th century. Carved out of a single rock, these temples exhibit intricate detailing and craftsmanship, reminiscent of classical Indian architecture.
Visitors are often awe-struck by the grandeur of the temple complex, which consists of a group of rock-cut temples dedicated to various Hindu deities, primarily Lord Shiva. The main temple, dedicated to Shiva, features a towering shikhara (spire) and intricately carved bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.
While the temples have suffered some damage over the centuries due to natural erosion and earthquakes, they continue to stand as a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans who created them.
Visitors to the Rock Cut Temples of Masroor can expect a serene and picturesque setting amidst the backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountain range. The site offers opportunities for exploration and photography, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and travelers exploring the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. However, accessibility and infrastructure around the site may be limited, so visitors should plan accordingly.

Recently explored Masroor Rock Cut Temple (11-11-23) – a hidden gem for a family picnic. Even during the Diwali Festive Season, the serene atmosphere prevailed with fewer crowds. The temple, a marvel of ancient architecture, left me in awe. The journey from Kangra unfolded breathtaking mountain views, riverside scenery, and enchanting pine forests. The road, though occasionally bumpy due to recent heavy rains, was generally well-maintained.
Entrance fees were surprisingly low, and the online ticketing process, facilitated by the attentive guard, ensured a smooth experience. The strategically located restroom atop a hillock provided not only convenience but also a panoramic view of the surroundings. Cleanliness was a pleasant surprise.
A quaint eatery near the temple offered delightful treats – from scrumptious Vegetable Maggie and momos to an outstanding pizza. The pizza, in particular, was a standout. I cherished nearly two hours in this picturesque setting, perfect for both photography enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxed picnic spot. Masroor Rock Cut Temple is not just a place; it's a reason to take pride in our rich heritage.

A small beautiful rock cut temple placed in Kangra valley near Lung town. According to a locals, the Pandavas of Mahabharata resided here during their incognito exile and built this temple. They left the temple unfinished as someone suspected on them. The place is quite and has a small pond which adds more beauty to the site. There is a ticket for 20 rupees that you can pay online by a qr scan available on the site.

A beautiful rock cut temple. Place is also beautiful. Mythologically this Rama temple was build by pandav. A pool is in front of temple. The temple was partially demolished due to earthquake in the year 1905.
It is approx 50 km distance from Mcleodgunj.
Maximum tourist escapes this place but it is must visit place. You will have to buy ticket online.

Dainkund Peak is a scenic tourist attraction with a temple located at the top, offering magnificent views. The uphill trek of around 1.5 km features some inclines and steps along with straight natural paths. Visitors can experience cold breezes, especially during winter when the fields are covered in snow. During summers, it offers lush greenery with residual snow. The location's picturesque scenery makes it an excellent spot for capturing nature photography.
Amazing experience. Little step climb but good path has been made to reach the top. U will get ice patches on the way. It will be too breezy , so carry proper cold clothing.

This peak had the best views throughout the trekking. It's a short 2 kms around trek, which is a little steep for 1km and then it gets better. But you will enjoy the lush green views (if you are visiting after monsoon, we visited in September) all the way to the top.

Best trek one must do while visiting Khajjiar/kalatop or else can plan a day to dainkud if visiting to the region.
It’s a 3 Km trek and nature gives you beautiful way to heaven.

Trekking with beautiful scenic views and breezy air makes the trek more beautiful and lovely. It's little bit more for beginners but can surely give a try. The journey and destination both are worth it. Roads and steps are made so it's easy.

Beginner level trekking of approximately 1.5 km with some steps, straight natural path in between with some slopes. Cold breeze will be touching your skins and with high velocity. At the end of the trek there is a temple "Pohlani Mataji" and behind that you can see Mount Kailash peak (As written on the Temple Wall) and other mountain ranges. In winter you will find snow covered field and during Summers you can enjoy greenery with some residual snow. Location is very picturesque and can take some great pictures of nature here.

At a distance of 17 km from Dalhousie Bus Stand, Dainkund Peak, perched at an altitude of 2755 m, is the highest mountain peak in Dalhousie. This is the most important peak and also a very popular place to visit in Dalhousie. Tourists can enjoy 360° view of the entire valley from this peak.
Dainkund is also a famous place for short trekking near Dalhousie. The name Dainkund is said to have been derived from Dain - Kund, which means Lake of the Witches. It is believed that in old days this mountain was the residence of witches. The sound of the breeze passing through the trees makes a musical sound, due to which this peak has also acquired the name, the singing hill.
This peak has two major attractions; one is the Indian Air Force base and the other is the Pholani Devi temple, which is a temple of great importance. One of the most interesting facts about this temple is that, except a trident there is nothing inside the temple premises. The peak offers a clear view of the flow of the rivers Ravi, Chenab and Beas which flow at the base.
Trekking is the most common path to get to the top and is a beautiful experience, with great views and fresh cool mountain air. Being the highest peak, it gets maximum snowfall during the winter season. The ascent to the Dainkund begins after crossing Lakkar Mandi. About 6 km drive from Lakkar Mandi leads to Indian Air Force Barrier, where the cars are parked. From the end of the motor able road to the temple one has to walk around 3 km of which the first km is very steep. However, this steep stretch of walk is quite safe as the path is made of wide concrete steps.

One of the best places near dalhousie. It's a small trek with a climb at the start and beautiful views at the temple at the end. About 1.3 kms long walk to the temple at the end.

Situated amidst lush greenery, Khajjiar Lake is a picturesque water body nestled in the midst of rolling hills and meadows at mid-altitude. Its location appears straight out of a storybook, as it seems to magically appear in the middle of a forest drive. The landscape is surreal and offers multiple activities for visitors to indulge in. Even with all the hustle and bustle around, one can find solace here and appreciate its natural beauty.
This one is certainly right out of a story book.
It just magically shows up in the middle of a forest drive.
The landscape is surreal and even though there might be multiple activities happening In and around it, you'll be able to find yourself a spot to relax and sink the beauty in.
It is a approx 20kms from the Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie.
The ride to the place is equally beautiful as you pass through a forest reserve.
Highly recommended.

I visited Khajjiar shortly after the monsoon (one of the best seasons to visit). It is a sprawling green meadow with a marsh lake in the middle and surrounded all around by deodar trees. There is a cottage run by Himachal tourism situated right in the meadow (the iconic photo that you see when you search Khajjiar in Google), where you can book your stay through the Himachal tourism website. It was lush green and the weather was pleasant in September. The good thing about Khajjiar is that it's not overcrowded (yet). There is so much fresh air and tranquility. You can take a good walk around the perimeter and then sit on a bench and enjoy the view how much ever you want. This place is a great escapade from the noise and crowd of the city.

Overall khajjiar is very beautiful..Lake just adds to the beauty of this place. i don't know if boating is there or not but there was very less water when i visited may be due to heat. Cold breeze and fresh sun light fill your life with freshness. shops for eating and hotels for staying is available here. You can camping in the night. But concern with locals there is risk of wild animals also.
You can do paragliding, Horse riding etc.

My experience at Khajjiar Lake was far from impressive. I visited in the month of December and without the picturesque snow, the place loses its charm, leaving little else to captivate visitors. The lake itself is ordinary, and the surroundings lack the magic that comes with a snowy landscape.
When the snow is absent, Khajjiar Lake becomes just another average spot, lacking the allure that's often associated with this destination. I'd advise skipping it unless you're fortunate enough to catch it during the rare snowy season. Without the snow, it's a rather unremarkable visit.

The place deserves at least two visits - one during the day to enjoy the experience in full daylight and one in the evening, when the lights are on highlighting the details. Good time is the time of evening prayers and taking the Holly Book to sleep at around 10 p.m. During the day it is worth to visit the place with a local guide who will show you places that otherwise you would miss or have no idea that you could visit like the kitchens serving 40 to 50 thousand meals each day... And you enjoy that beautiful place free. Unfortunately taking photographs in the temple is strictly forbidden - pictures only outside...

1. Try to arrange an accommodation close to the Golden Temple, so that you can visit the temple early morning and late evening.
2. Being the main attraction, this place can get reao crowded, keep that in mind.
3. You need to cover your head, put off yours shoes and wash your feet before entering.
4. They have the baggage counter inside the temple, you may deposit your bag there

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is an iconic Sikh religious site and a must-visit destination. It is a place of profound spiritual significance and architectural beauty. The stunning golden structure is surrounded by a serene and picturesque lake, creating a sense of peace and tranquility.
The temple complex is open to people of all faiths and offers free meals to visitors, showcasing the Sikh principles of equality and selfless service. The interior of the temple is equally impressive with its intricate artwork and gilded walls. The atmosphere is often filled with devotional music and a palpable sense of spirituality.
However, the temple can get crowded, almost daily and especially during religious festivals, so it’s advisable to visit during quieter times for a more serene experience. Overall, the Golden Temple is a unique and spiritually enriching place that is well worth a visit for its cultural, religious, and architectural significance.

The Bahu Fort is a historic fort in the city of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. Constructed on the banks on Tawi River, the ancient fort is believed to be constructed by Rajput Raja Bahulochan around 3,000 years ago. It is believed that the first renovation of this fort was undertaken during Dogra Rule in 18th century. The fort is a religious place, and within its precincts has a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. The temple is known locally as the "Bawe Wali Mata temple".The building of the city of Jammu and the Bahu Fort are linked to a legend. Raja Jambu Lochan, when on a hunting trip, witnessed a curious scene of a tiger and a goat drinking water side by side at the same location in the Tawi River, without the tiger attacking. The Raja considered this a divine direction to establish his new capital here, as the scene he witnessed at this site represented peaceful coexistence. His brother, Bahu Lochan, is credited with building the fort.
The fort is located on a high plateau land overlooking the Tawi River on its rocky left bank with an average elevation of 325m. The forest area that surrounds the fort has been developed into a well laid out park called the "Bagh-e-Bahu", from where a commanding view of the city of Jammu could be seen. The garden attracts a large number of visitors.[1]
The fort, the temple, and the Bagh-e-Bahu garden are located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the Jammu city centre. The city road to Surinsar was widened for providing approach to an Oil drilling exploration project. However, this project was shelved and consequently the widened new road provided better access to the fort and the temple, and the number of visitors to these places has since increased.
The fort structure is located at an elevation of 325 metres (1,066 ft), opposite to the old town of Jammu. The fortified structure has thick walls made of sandstones built with lime and brick mortar. It has eight octagonal towers or turrets connected by thick walls. The towers have enclosures to house guards. The main entry is fit to allow passage of elephants into the fort. A water tank with access for pilgrims to take bath is located on the left entry into the fort. This tank or pond is 6.1× in size and has a water depth of 4.6 metres (15 ft). A pyramidal structure is on the right flank (with very thick walls to withstand any gun attack) of the fort was an ammunition store. An underground chamber here was used a prison. This chamber has a secret exit to escape from the fort in case of any emergencies. The first floor is lavishly built with arches and decorated with floral designs like a Baradari or a palace.
To the right of the temple, there are a few halls which were used in the past as assembly halls and offices of the Quiledar (master of the fort). However, they are not maintained at all. The royal stables were also located within this fort. Substantial renovation and additions to attract visitors have been added during recent years.
The earliest historical recorded link to the fort is that of Raja Jambu Lochan and his brother Bahu Lochan, sons of a powerful ruler Agnigarbha II of the Jammu dynasty of Suryavanshi kings. Bahu, the eldest of Agnigarbha's 18 sons, is credited with establishing the Jammu city and building the fort. The earlier fort structure was modified over the years to a stronger fortified structure. The present fort was rebuilt, probably at the same location as the ancient fort, by Autar Dev, the grandson of King Kapoor Dev in 1585. Over the years the fort underwent demolitions and reconstructions from time to time, until during Sikh Empire the then new Governor/Raja of Jammu Maharaja Gulab Singh reconstructed the present fort in the 19th century, which was further refurbished during the rule of Maharaja Ranbir Singh. They first established temples for their tutelary deities; the image of Mahakali deity in the temple in the fort was brought from Ayodhya

"The crowning glory of my Vaishno Devi pilgrimage was the mesmerizing view from Bhairo Mandir. After a challenging yet spiritually enriching trek, reaching Bhairo Mandir felt like ascending to a celestial realm. The panoramic vistas of the Trikuta Mountains were simply awe-inspiring, with every peak and valley creating a breathtaking tapestry of nature's grandeur.
From this elevated perch, the Vaishno Devi temple below appeared like a divine jewel embedded in the rugged landscape. The sense of accomplishment blended seamlessly with the spiritual awe as I gazed upon the sanctum from Bhairo Mandir. The tranquility of the surroundings added a serene touch, allowing for quiet introspection and a deep connection with the spiritual essence of the journey.
The meticulous planning and maintenance of the route from Vaishno Devi to Bhairo Mandir showcased the dedication of the temple authorities to provide a holistic pilgrimage experience. This journey not only tested my physical endurance but also uplifted my spirit, leaving an indelible mark on my soul. The culmination of the pilgrimage at Bhairo Mandir was a moment of pure bliss, where the earthly and divine elements converged in a harmonious spectacle, etching an unforgettable chapter in my spiritual journey."

This is One of the most visited Hindu pilgrimage in Jammu Kashmir.
People prey to goddess and wish for their desires to full fill and visit this place.
Mata listen to all prayers and grant lots of love to their devotees.
Apart from Puja Archna this place is maintained by Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
They have really worked a lot and this place is now having good path, Electric transportation, Cable car, Helicopters and the best part is now you can travel from any where in India to directly Mata Vaishno Devi. Earlier you have to go to Jammu and from there catch bus. But now everything is so smooth.

Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir (bhawan) is one of the best holiest places in India. The mandir is too high from the Katra and has approx 15 km. Total Yatra or Journey of Holy 'Shree Vaishnav Mata Ji' and 'Shree Bhairav Baba Ji' takes around 12 to 15 hrs. It is very well-managed and beautifully oraganised by the Katra shrine board. Clean toilets along the way, several food stalls, drinking water points for every traveler, many benches to sit and rest all way. Entire trek was very beautiful and 90% shaded. its a life time experience to visit here. After mataji darshan we took rope way to reach bhairav baba temple, whose price is Rs 100 per person. bhairav baba mandir balcony is the great place to take photos/selfie.

Mata Vaishno Devi, also known as Vaishno Devi Mandir, is a popular Hindu temple located in the Trikuta Mountains in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Mata Vaishno Devi, who is believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees.
The pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi begins at the base camp in Katra, which is about 42 kilometers from Jammu. From Katra, devotees have to trek uphill to reach the temple. The trek is approximately 13 kilometers long and passes through picturesque mountainous terrain.
The temple is situated at an altitude of around 5,300 feet above sea level. Devotees have to climb a flight of approximately 5,000 steps to reach the main shrine, which is located inside a cave. Alternatively, some devotees prefer to hire ponies, palanquins, or helicopters to reach the temple.
The shrine receives millions of devotees every year, especially during the auspicious occasions of Navratri and other festivals. The pilgrimage is considered highly significant in Hinduism, and devotees visit the temple to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi.
It's important to note that the information I provided is based on the knowledge available to me up until September 2021. It's always a good idea to check for any recent updates or changes regarding the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi before planning your visit.

We have visited earlier also for Mata Rani Darshan.
But this time we got special Darshan.
Mata Rani ki kripa Bahut hai.
Within 3 hours we came back to Helipad.
Arrangements were so good.
Queues were not too Big.
For people who travelled via Helicopter and same day return, VIP PASS issued from Helipad Counter.
We need to remember that we must have to return with in time mentioned on VIP SLIP.
We need to enter from Gate No 5 to avoid long queues which is clearly mentioned on Slip.
We can take Prasad from local shop and put all our bags there to save time.

Magnificent....its a drive of 3 hours (from pahalgam) and we hired a private cab to reach there. You'll find eating places (way too expensive) but they allow little bargaining. Make sure to carry a warm jacket and head cover as the winds are too chilly, even during summers. We forgot to carry and later on had to sit in the car to protect ourselves.

Sinthan top is a spot 12000 ft above sea level in Kashmir which is midway on the newly opened Anantnag-kokernag-Sinthan-Kishtwar road. The road has been built and is maintained by BRo in excellent condition. It is 132 km from Srinagar. The journey is in itself an experience and once you reach the top it is 360 degree view, and snow everywhere. You can get down from the car and walk on snow. Sinthan Top is a less-known tourist spot in the outskirts of Srinagar that is gradually gaining popularity because of its natural beauty. It lies midway on the Anantnag-Kokernag-Sinthan-Kishtwar road, which was opened in recent years.
The road is well maintained by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) that provides an easy access to this spot. Lying at an elevation of 12000 feet above the sea level, this place overlooks beautiful sceneries of the low-lying regions. The sprawling cover of snow paints this entire area in white, making it visually appealing. During most parts of the year, the area remains inaccessible due to heavy snowfall, and the best time to visit is between April and September.
Sinthan Top is perhaps one of the best natural beauty area I have seen in Kashmir. The new highway is so clear and safe and easily takes you to Sinthan Top. Most of the tourists are unaware of this place and even the cabbies will not take much pain or even botheration to inform you about this place.
The new highway is well-built and secure and almost effortlessly takes you to Sinthan Top. The vast majority of tourists are unaware of this place. The Sinthan top is around 12000 ft above sea level and is one of the finest experiences ever. Getting there may take a lot of time and energy for those who are occasional travelers but it is a place which is a must see for everyone. The road up is usually met with snow-formed streams at many places. The water level in these creeks is less and moves slowly throughout the year, thus offering an ideal spot for photo snappy tourists. Stop by, sit and relax on this gigantic stone with calm but cold stream flowing beside; a sight that simply mesmerizes your senses. Once you reach the very top, you would be simply blown away by the amazing vastness of the green mountains.

My recent journey to Betaab Valley in Kashmir left me spellbound, defying the limitations of words to truly capture its breathtaking beauty. The valley's lush expanse unfolds like a vibrant carpet, adorned with an array of wildflowers that paint the landscape with an artist's palette of colors. Towering mountains, their snow-capped peaks touching the sky, stand as sentinels guarding this paradise.
The air, crisp and invigorating, carries the delicate scent of pine and earth, intertwining with the melody of flowing streams that meander through the valley. Sunlight dances upon the waters, creating a mesmerizing play of reflections that seem to shimmer in harmony with the very rhythm of nature.
As I walked along the trails, the tranquility of Betaab Valley enveloped me in a serenity that transcended the mundane. The symphony of silence was punctuated only by the occasional song of a bird or the gentle rustle of leaves. It's a place where time slows down, allowing you to immerse yourself in the sheer magnificence of the surroundings.
Every moment in Betaab Valley felt like a glimpse into a dream, a fleeting yet unforgettable encounter with nature's purest form of artistry. It's a destination that goes beyond the realm of photographs, etching itself into the depths of your heart and memory.

A picturesque scene of the mountains and greenery around, this is one of the attractions in Pahalgam.
You can enjoy the beauty of valleys on one side as you head to the Betaab Valley, which is a steep and winding road to the top.
The entry ticket is INR 100 per person. You will encounter many pony riders who will hound you to take a ride around some point. Honestly, you can just avoid the pony ride and walk through the woods and trees, alongside the stream and vast patch of green.
The chill of the air, the fresh smell of trees, and the musk of wood are beyond articulation. You can sit peacefully on the wooden benches and enjoy some tranquility and peace time
There are vendors who have fancy dressed goats who take a picture with you, although I found it a little sad to see them cruelly tilt the goats' legs just to get the right pose:(

There is an entry fee for Aru Wildlife Sanctuary but it doesn't have any fauna.♥️

We visited Aru Valley few days back . It was nothing short of magical. Nestled within the grandeur of the Himalayan mountains, this picturesque destination offered an idyllic escape from the bustle of daily life, as the autumnal hues painted the landscape.
During October, the valley transformed into a realm of natural splendor. The changing leaves turned the meadows into a tapestry of warm and vibrant colors, offering a breathtaking and serene panorama. The crisp, cool air carried the earthy scent of fallen leaves and pine, invigorating the senses.
The river that wound its way through the valley shimmered with a gentle, golden hue, reflecting the surrounding mountains like a living painting. The distant calls of migratory birds added a melodic touch to the symphony of nature.
In October, Aru Valley is a place where you can truly embrace the enchantment of autumn. It’s a haven of natural beauty, where you can lose yourself in the captivating charm of the Himalayas and find respite in the serenity of this seasonal wonderland

A picturesque gem tucked away in the Kashmir region. Its verdant meadows, snow-kissed peaks, and babbling streams create a mesmerizing backdrop for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The journey to Aru Valley is beautiful, the awe-inspiring beauty of this pristine destination will make you stay there for whole day. It's an idyllic retreat for those seeking solace in the lap of nature.

Its a beautiful place and the drive is also not that difficult. The parking is tight so if you are coming in your own car you may find it difficult to park. After parking you have to hire ponies to get to the main point. You can also explore the place on foot as its very open with a river flowing nearby.

Scenic view around the valley.. nothing much to do here. It's just walk through. You can go here just for the view and chilled weather. You can also trek here over the hills. Food joint available where u get basic food like Maggi, tea, coffee, biscuits and some local savouries.

So beautiful. Wish there was a proper distance calculation and time estimate given outside. Very easy to climb, looks much tougher than it is. Most people can easily imb it, and there is an even easier psth in the back from the garden. No need to take horses. Just wish there was a proper tourist information out front.

If going in the time of non snow better to avoid this place as there is absolutely nothing to see. We practically walked for 10-15 minutes too some photo for memories and walked away. There is a nearby shop which serves good Kawah tea. After seeing the beauty of Kashmir in many other places this place looked very ordinary to us. We travelled in October in a clear sky day. The only good thing probably the journey through mountain roads. There are three places they do as a tour - Go first to Aru valley to avoid disappointment.

Ah! A beautiful place, scenic, surrounded by snowy and rocky mountains. If you Trek a little, you will be able to see a beautiful flowing river. I can spend the whole day in this place.

During my recent visit to this tranquil haven, I was captivated by its natural beauty and mesmerizing charm. The journey to Aru Valley itself is an experience to cherish, with winding roads offering breathtaking views of lush green meadows, towering pine trees, and snow-capped peaks in the distance. As I arrived at the valley, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility that instantly washed away the stresses of city life. One of the highlights of my trip was exploring the pristine beauty of Lidder River, which flows gently through the valley, adding to its serene ambiance. Aru Valley in Pahalgam is a tourist Attraction. Although there is nothing special to visit apart from majestic snowy mountain which looks like its just in front of you and a park for camping and spending a few hours.
Its about 1 hour drive from Pahalgam Main Market. The road to this place is tricky one way road with very narrow sections at some places. Skillful driving is needed.
There is NO entry fee for the park. Maintenance is low. You can get horses to visit the higher reach lakes in the mountains which are about 3 hours away.
Good Place for taking pictures.
Happy visiting.
PS: Please don't litter the place.

Very beautiful and serene valley. Kashmir has many such beautiful valleys and mountains with breath taking views which easily put the place among top in the world. Little efforts from local authorities, people and government can easily develop such places into global tourism hotspots. Hope everyone concerned already looking into it.

Stunning beauty in Pahalgam. If you want to enjoy greenery, mountains, rivers and love the spectacular creations of Almighty, this is the place to be. It's bit crowded, which sometimes beats the fun and peace that nature offers but if you manage to visit non peak hours, you would fall in love.

The best place that we visited in Kashmir so far. Absolutely beautiful and relatively untouched. Mountains, meadows, Lidder River, and starting point to many lively treks. The road ends here. I would highly highly recommend this place for all nature lovers. If you want luxury probably you should stay at Pahalgam and take a day trip. We walked and walked; and enjoyed sitting next to the Lidder River. Watched horses, mules and cows grazing in the meadows. Loved the place and would surely go again.

Lovely view point with good soft snow and relatively few people (went on weekday evening - around 3 PM). Had a good time. You don't need snow boots if you are not planning to go deep snow. Could not try Aru Valley Pony ride as we didn't have time. The place doesn't have too many activities which is a good thing, you can enjoy the point with minima disturbance from people selling you services like Gulmarg, Sonmarg etc

Beautiful place but dangerous road. Ticket cost Rs 25/ adult. Dry fruits rate is cheaper than other place. EECO van is best to travel this place to avoid traffic rather than SUV.
Yusmarg is an ideal destination to explore if you're in the Gulmarg area. This charming location offers visitors a chance to participate in horseback riding and freshwater fishing. If you're feeling energetic, consider embarking on a 10 km trek that leads to Sand-e-Safed Valley, where you'll find a frozen lake. When it's time to head back, returning to Gulmarg is your best bet.
Located in Bagdam district, Meadows of Jesus or Yusmarg is known for its long stretches of green pastures. An ideal tourist attraction that in its humblest of ways teaches to revere nature, Yusmarg is a proud part of the Valley of Kashmir. Embark on trails that lead to exotic places like Sang-e-Safed Valley and Nilnag. Away from the confines of the mundane, Yusmarg is a little paradise in its own right.
The jewel of Bagdam district, Yusmarg shelters many picture perfect locales. It mesmerizes tourists with its natural beauty through destinations like Sang-e-Safed valley; Yusmarg is also famed for having some exceptional springs of flowers. It has some of the highest peaks in PirPanjal range including Tattakutti (4,725 m) and Sunset Peak (4,746m). The majestic river Doodh Ganga also makes this destination more thrilling and challenging. The mighty natural slopes of Yusmarg provide skiing opportunities to adventure enthusiasts. On the other side, the holy shrine of Charar-e-Sharif endows blessing to the entire regions and is reckoned to protect the land from all kinds of mishaps. The timeless beauty of Yusmarg captivates the hearts of the visitors and compels them to return from time to time.
Usually I go yousmarg for birding.

This beautiful destination consists lot of valleys and peaks with integration of milky coloured flowing water called Doodh Ganga, this place needs a lot of development and maintenance. Horse riding is available at this gorgeous place with variety of horses. For proper integration of Doodh Ganga with Yousmarg, roads need to be developed to have better connectivity throughout the year. More hotels, restaurants and guest houses should be built for night stay at this place.
Yousmarg is a hill station in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, located in the western section of the Kashmir Valley. It is an alpine valley with snow-capped mountains and pine and fir plains. It's 13 kilometres south of Charari Sharief, a town in Jammu & Kashmir's Budgam region. It is on the banks of the Doodh Ganga River, a tributary of the Jehlum River. It is situated in the Pir Panjal peaks, a Himalayan sub-range. The Sunset Peak and the Tatakooti Peak are the two peaks for which expeditions depart from this hill station. It is located at a height of 2,396 metres (7,861 feet) above sea level. It is located 47 kilometres south of Srinagar, the state capital. Beautiful scenery, fresh pine nurseries, verdant meadows, and heart-warming lotic and lentic water bodies may all be found at Yousmarg. The beauty of the meadows is enhanced by the presence of Nilnag, Doodh Ganga, and a newly constructed artificial dam. Yousmarg is surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna.

Yusmarg or Yousmarg (یوسمرگ) (meaning 'Meadow of Jesus') is a hill station in the western part of the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated 53 km (33 mi) south of Srinagar, the summer capital of the state.[4] Yousmarg provides space for beautiful landscapes, young pine nurseries, green pastures and heart touching lotic and lentic water bodies. Nilnag, Doodhganga river and a nascently created artificial dam adds more to the beauty of the meadows. Nature has bestowed Yusmarg with pleasant flora and fauna. Yusmarg is often referred to as a trekkers paradise.Yusmarg has some modest stay options but some new homestays have come up around the area.Tribe homestay and cafe located at the nearest village Nagbal is gaining popularity especially among the youth. The place is rustic, wooden and reflects the Kashmiri architectural heritage. Among fauna, locals claim that they often sight wolves, bears, apes, cats, aves of various types (flight as well as flightless). Yusmarg is among a few offbeat places of Kashmir and you can explore it in a day because it's only 45km away from Srinagar. The place is worth visiting as of now because there is not much human interference and it has a good scenic view from dense forest to the flowing river you will find everything here. Must add it to your bucket list.

I have visited this place so many years ago and still nothing new has happened with respect to maintenance and development ... Needs maintenance and dedicated efforts.
No good parks, the landscape full of horse and smells really bad..
The best thing perhaps is if you go to Doodhganga and enjoy the waters and the other side where its more of natural and great scenic spots.

Visited in July. Full of greenery and grazing animals on the picturesque green lawns is an amazing feeling.
Need to take pony rides to reach the spots after parking(Do negotiate for a better deal). The best spot is Doodh Ganga.worth the time spent. Rest all spots are just useless, purposely created. Snacks, food, tea stalls available.

Beautiful place but no good place to have lunch. There is one resort named as Zeezayn Huts & Resorts who was giving lunch but it was so bad that we didn’t eat a single bit. We just tasted and left after giving him whole amount. Everything was having some smell in it. He initially said that he will be quick and wasted our 2 hours there. Apart from that it was good. We didn’t observed any snow there and thay have pony rides so one can visit waterfall but it was too far so we didn’t ho there
