We went there yesterday. It’s quite an experience to drive from Balohan port to the monument. Good road and it took 40 minutes to drive there. Beautiful forest and beaches on the way there.

Nice place in the most western edge of Indonesia archipelago, and need more effort for bikepackers to get there. Most of the road, up and down.

You should go there because you are on the island anyway... But not the most norther point of Indonesia and the whole area is poorly maintained. The skywalk throu the forest is barely usable because ony a small part is open and it doesn't look very safe.

This is the Kilometer 0 monument which is only located in Sabang and Merauke. There are many people selling souvenirs around here such as keychains and clothes. If only the place was better maintained.

Bit touristy. Lot of souvenir shops. You have to pay 5000 rupiah entrance fee (?). We spend like 15 mins here. There is a nice view plateau, but its so neglected it didn't feel safe to walk on it, which is a shame because it looked pretty fun to do.

Probably the furthest place from Sabang town. But it's worth the drive. The local guide informed that this is the starting point of Indonesia and the furthest West of the country. The symbolic tower is really tall and eye catchy. Don't know whether the public is allowed to climb. Recommended place to visit and relax in the wind. There is a musolla for Muslims to pray and abundance of small shops selling a variety of garments. You can enjoy coconut drinks here and for those who love coffee, there's a variety of it.

Every indonesian should visit this place. The track about 30 km from the City to go to Kilometer Nol is lil bit challenging because of up-downhill track. But believe me the road is well condition. After you visit this place is like a lifetime achievement

Sabang is a small island in the Aceh Province. But from this place, the Indonesia legacy is starting. This monument is symbol of starting point of Indonesia. You can reach this place about 1 hour from port of Sabang. In here, you can print the "certificate" of Zero Point of Indonesia. You can also buy any merchandises and enjoy fresh coconut or "gorengan", special snack for Indonesian people. The atmosphere of this place is very peaceful, and enjoying the sunset is the best choice.

The location of this monument is at the westernmost tip of Weh Island, at this monument you can take pictures with direct views of the vast expanse of ocean, around the monument there are also many stalls selling souvenirs and food, then there are also unusual souvenirs in the form of certificates indicating that you have visited to kilometer zero, the certificate must be purchased at a price of 30k, around the monument there is also a prayer room and toilet, sometimes monkeys appear around kilometer zero but don't worry because the monkeys are not fierce, then make sure if you go to kilometer zero don't be too late because the day is getting dark and no light.

This is the starting point of homeland of Indonesia from the west. And the new monument is still building and we just took picture on the giant letter sign of this OKM. However, for the three-days that we've spent it, it is full-of giant letter sign pictures. Driving there, and driving here to take pictures like these. But, if the tour is just like these, then I would expect more to understand the culture and local history. With only the giant letter sign - name of the place, I would only know the name of the place but nothing else.

Fantastic beach and there is just a few people went to this beach so i can get a calm and chill environment. The view is breathtaking and the water is crystal clear with almost no wave at all. So you can meet a lot of school of fish not so far from the shore. Just swim and enjoy. Can also get a boat to Rubiah Island across

WOW! super amazing this place! This is where we went snarling, observing coral, and all the colorful tropical fishes. The sea water has its magical power and the water clear as you could see through it all the times. We didn't scuba-diving but maybe I could try next time. However, for snorkeling, it is just as best as what I've tried in El Nido, Palawan. We first took the small boat to an off-shore small island. And the island is exactly where we snorkeled. Even though it is impossible for me to bring with my cellphone into the water, but it is guaranteed that you will find a different water under the water.

Iboih beach is the most favourite place for tourists to enjoy Sabang. This place provide various kind of food, bungalow, and of course with a wonderful scenery. This place is also a transition place before going to Rubiah Island which is a place for snorkeling or doing scuba diving. It has a white sand and beautiful corals reef. PS: don't ever try to throw rubbish here. You will be my enemy then 😎

One of the best dive centre ever came across with! Very attentive and professional crew and top notch service provided to our group. We came in rather a large group but they could still accommodate us seamlessly. Dive sites that we were brought to were challenging but beautiful!

Amazing dive centre! This place is a super down to earth and very family style, with a great team. They offer both quality diving and the best prices on the island. I spent most of my time with Bobby, Captain, and Riski, who are an amazing team that run the centre really well. You can see they care about making the best experience for customers while maintaining safety and professionalism (but not shoving it in your face). I know I’ll be back time and time again. We went diving on Pulau Weh, and we were fortunate to go with Monster Divers. It was a great choice! The location is excellent, right in front of the sea at Gapang Beach. The facility is spectacular and very comfortable, with areas to store and dry equipment, a compressor, a space for relaxation and briefings, and more. The owners are three Catalans, and we had the pleasure of meeting Sergi, who was very friendly, fun, a great instructor, and highly attentive. He cares a lot about his clients and is always ready to assist with whatever is needed. They do something that, in my opinion, is very important: they train, empower, and give decision-making authority to their staff. We met with Anya, Riezky (who was our guide on some dives), and Bobby. They were all very friendly and highly skilled professionals. In terms of pricing, it's quite reasonable. I think most of the dive centers on Pulau Weh have similar prices. For me, it's a top-notch dive center!

Diving with Monsters was the highlight of my time spent in Pulau Weh and the reason I want to come back and do my divemasters. All the staff made me feel very welcomed and comfortable - from the moment I walked in I felt the good vibes. The shop is located on the small scenic Gapang Beach where you can hop right in the sea or grab a cheap bite from the handful of local restaurants steps away. The island has a variety of interesting and unique dive sites, including an underwater volcano. All my 10 dives were beautiful; there is quite a lot of both macro and the big stuff to see (sharks, rays, octopus, eels, cuttlefish, shrimps, stonefish, nudibranch etc etc) and they are super flexible according to your skill level and preferences. But the thing that really made the diving memorable was the staff. Sergi, Sophie, Rebecca, Jasmine, Risky, Asiane, Nico, Nando, and Miguel are pros at establishing a fun, easygoing, safe and professional atmosphere. They quickly made me feel like family and it was nice even to chill and chat over a coffee or beer, relax in the hammock with a book or eat the best patatas bravas from their kitchen next door. They even provided free transport to and from my accommodation in Iboih each day. Plus their prices are the best on the whole island! Big shout out to the whole team for an unforgettable diving experience. I cannot recommend them enough. Tip: do a night dive on the house reef with Miguel. You won't regret it!

Me and five friends dove with Monsters. Four of us did their open water certificate, and me and another certified friend did a series of dives. All of us had a wonderful time. Dive instructors Risky and Fami were very knowledgeable of local areas, very warm and welcoming, funny and engaging. I would highly recommend Monster Divers. Staying in the local area is also quite nice, more quiet, relaxing and spacious than staying in Ibioh town nearby. The downside can be if their is a strong easterly, then site can be a bit exposed and wavy. But on balance, I would still chose to stay here again. Irrespective of your site choice, Monsters were great

Tourist attractions that should not be missed when visiting Sabang, you must come here ahaha you haven't been to Sabang if you haven't been to this island to snorkeling, the underwater scenery is very beautiful, access here is enough to cross 5 minutes from the main island, on this island and its surroundings there are many equipment rentals snorkeling and places to eat to fill up energy after tired swimming.

Crystal clear water! You can see families of fish swimming from the jetty area and also by the sea shore. Since I brought my 3 yrs old son, he can enjoy watching and feeding the fish while we took turn to snorkel and watch him at the same time. The sandy part is quite small, the rest of the island is covered by rocks. The water was calm so it is safe to snorkel without a guide. We rented all the equipments from Iboih. If you are hungry, fret not as there are plenty of stalls to choose from on that island. No proper shower facilities here but you can rinse yourself at a nearby well or pay IDR 5,000 and use one of the stall's toilet. When we went there in September 2018, during weekday, the island was not crowded. However, there were plenty of rubbish at the rocky parts of the beach. Wish it could be cleaner.

Remote paradise My boyfriend and I, we were looking for a small, not to busy place with an intact underwater world for our next trip. And we found even more. Gapang beach is one of the two tourist beaches on Pulau Weh, an island in the northwest of Sumatra. We chose Bubble addict, a familial diving center with an own accommodation. We decided to stay at the fancy bunglow, a cosy and spacious bungalow with a nice semiopen bathroom and a big terrace with a lovely garden view. The diving center and the bungalows are located and the beach, so you can hear the ocean and the sound of the waves during day and night. If you want to go diving, there are a couple of possibilities - directly from the shore of Gapang beach or you can take one of the boats, that will drop you at the many divesides that are close to Gapang. The diving itself was amazing - big coral farns, healthy coral reefs (especially considering the Tsunami in 2004), big fish swarms of fusiliers, red tooth triggerfish etc. If you're lucky you can also see school of mobula rays, little black tips and beautiful marble rays. And it's a perfect place for makro lovers too. Most of the time we dove with Putra, the indonesian divemaster, who is amazing finding small stuff like ghost pipefish, a variety of different nudis, cuttlefish, etc., for the costumers. Me, personally, I loved the divesites Tokong and the canyon. I can especially recommend the night dive with Will, the french manager of bubble addict, at Gapangs shore. But it was not only the diving that made our holiday special. Staying at bubble was like staying with friends. Will and Elisa, an italian diving instructor, did a wonderful job taking care of us and creating a familiar, laid-back atmosphere, while Wendy, the bartender and creator of the best Cappuccino in southeast asia, took care of the music part - playing the guitar and singing for us. All in all it was a wonderful, familiar and cheap place, that I can recommend to everyone. Special thanx to Will, Elisa, Putra, Wendy and Anya for making our stay so wonderful.

I had an incredible time here! Planned to stay for 3 nights, ended up with 10. The dive shop is nice and everybody is so friendly, kind and funny. I generally liked the relaxed atmosphere here. I dived with Fauzi who is an amazing dive master! A lot to see at the many dive sites. The dorm is clean and spacious. Would 100% recommend. Thank you for this awesome experience! I did two days of fun-diving here and I really recommend. A smaller company, really personal and cheap diving. Aldo, my instructor, was a great guy. Had some good conversations, explained everything well, relaxed and you can feel his passion for diving. If you want to do some diving on Pulau Weh, recommend you go here!

We came for a couple of dives we end up having new friends. We went to Pulau Weh, Sumatra, me and my girl friend to spend 2 weeks. We were looking for a chill place to spend our hollidays and what we found was just incredible. The place is wonderful, we took the fancy bungalow and it was a really nice place to stay, hearing the waves of the sea during the night. The dives are really nice and we are used to go to wonderful places. The island had many differents dive sites that are easely reach by small boat. Under the water you can see how the reef is healthy and getting better after the tsunami of 2004. High recommendation for tokong. We dove must of the times with Putra who is the best finding special stuff (pipe ghost fish, nudis, octos, cuttlefish, crabs etc.). Most of the time there is many dives during the day. You can also do some shore dives and see a tank wreck or even some night dives (ask for Wil to show his special rock !!) But the most important is not only the dives is the customer service. Because the diving center is small and familiar we never felt as a customer but more as divers sharing a passion. And this is exactly what we were looking before coming to Sumatra. Also the prices are very very cheap wich makes this place ideal for a backpacker budget. Dont forget to try the cappuccino, is defently the best one that you can get before coming back to Europe. Both with friend we had a first diving experience in Bubble Addict. Thanks to amazing instructor name Fauzi a dream came true. Without Fauzi's great approach we would not end 10 meters under water watching corrals and amazing underwater life! It appears diving isn't easy and natural for everyone (me!). Because of fear I was about to resign, what didn't happen only thanks to great and professional instructor Fauzi. Thank you! That was an amazing experience. I highly recommend Bubble Addict for everyone.

Great dive centre offering very competitive pricing on dive packages. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The equipment available for rental is good quality. We had an amazing time diving with Riezky and would definitely recommend!

We dived 5 times and our son passed his SSI in the very capable hands of Safuen. The dive center is pleasant, well located and the dive masters are nice and friendly. Yet the organization of dives is not sharp (timing are not respected, equipment not prepared, boat quality can vary depending on number of divers) and could improve for a more pleasant and professional experience. A leader is missing. Breakfast tip : you may choose to eat your pancakes in the other restaurants of the village, where they are as good and three times cheaper !

Great time diving with the crew. Seb is so passionate about diving, has such a huge knowledge and experience + makes best coffee. Did 5 dives with elly (local dm) showed me around tokong, arus balee, rubiah garden and limbo, was such a pleasure diving with you. Always felt super comfortable and safe. Would recommend the shop every time. Drift dives we such a nice experience, marine life around the island is spectacular. We saw such a variety of species, still get a smile to my face. Disclaimer: this review is about the Padi open water course and not about the fun dives! (We really enjoyed the fun dives here!) My friends recently started their open water course here and I started my advanced. We where not satisfied with the quality of the course. We felt that the theory was not taken seriously and some essential things like the buddy check where also not taken seriously. Some elements of the course where also missing. For example how to properly ascend and the safety stop was not covered. During the course other people where added to the lessons and we felt that the course was missing general structure and cohesion. As a result we often had to wait a lot between dives and the time schedule was often not kept too. If you want to complete your Padi for a good price and do not care so much for the quality it was fine and you will be able to do the course here. Also the vibe of the dive school is really nice and relaxed, with coffee and tea after every dive! However if you want to have a very good quality dive course where you feel comfortable to go on fun dives afterwards with full confidence, I would suggest you look for another dive school. I myself ended up stopping my advance here and completing it at another dive school, where the difference was noticeable. I want to add that we really enjoyed the fun dives here, especially with our guide Aldo. He was super relaxed and checked up on us a lot. I felt safe and really comfortable diving with him! He also took the time after the dive to look in the fish book and identify with fish we had spotted!!

We had a wonderful stay of 6 Nights at Bubble Addict. Yanti and her whole team took such good care of us and if we needed anything we could have just asked for it. Yes, the diving equipment is not brand new, but it‘s safe and maintained. And will get renewed as time is coming. Please support, stay and dive with them. I had the most amazing experience at Bubble Addict and can recommend this place to anyone. Go there! Enjoy diving! Enjoy the amazing staff and atmosphere! First of all. You have Yanti. She does not own Bubble Addict but she is the manager and she does it amazingly. She was always ready to have a pleasant chat before or after a dive or any moment of the day with a cup of coffee or tea (for which she did not ask anything) She wanted to make sure that any costumer had the best experience. She was flexibele and open for any feedback as well. When I had to change rooms, she was quick to help. When somebody in the dorm got sick, she brought and stayed or let somebody she knew stay (multiple days!) with this person in the hospital. Yanti is just the best. Secondly, Mur (pronounced as 'More') was appointed as my trainer and this as well was the most perfect guy for the job. I am an anxious person and I thought I would not get to the 18 meter limit of PADI Open Waters. But Mur just got me there in such a pleasant way. He takes diving and all its theory/constraints/safety very serious (which I love) but will also modify his way of teaching based on your experience and personality, at your own level and pace. I could not have asked for a better teacher! And I would highly recommend him for anyone. Further, Gapang Beach seems to be a nicer beach than Ipoih Beach. There are less but more than sufficient, good restaurants. Furthermore there is a community vibe. Everybody knows everybody and will help everybody, which is lovely. Though it is Indonesia, you have to consider that timing is a bit more fluid. But if you have to wait a quarter or half an houre (and that would be the max I think), just enjoy the waves and enjoy the coffee you get from Yanti ;). I hope to be back soon.

Excellent experience. I very highly recommend this place. Not only are they a great dive shop (and because they are relatively new their equipment is top shape), but also a great place to stay. If you have the chance, book the bungalow. Such an excellent oasis away from it all. It was booked the first night we arrived so we stayed elsewhere (not so good) but the 5 nights we did have in the bungalow were awesome. As we were there over New Year's, we were invited to join in their festivities including a communal dinner and dancing. The people there are very warm and welcoming. They share their lives and we felt like part of their family. Bubble Addict is also the one place on Gapang Beach with a proper coffee machine. Espresso, cappuccino, latte or butter coffee are delicious and quite the welcome change from other establishments. Just wish they had teh tarik and it would be perfect. If you're looking for something different in terms of diving, ask for Alois who is a diving artist. Blew my mind. Rafael is the macro specialist extraordinaire, while JoJo a masterful night dive guide. Aji is a chill dude and has a very deep knowledge of the local spots, plus can show you how to catch an occasional wave on the local beach. Definitely worth the trip and I can't wait to come back (already asked Alois to be my mentor for the dive master training).

So far one of the best diving center where I dove so far. The staff made our experience amazing and unforgettable. The structure is so welcoming and the surroundings are breathtaking. I got my Advance Open Water Diver license here. Doing my PPB, night dive, deep dive, drift dive, and navigation dive. They are friendly. Mr Wandi is My instructor. He is really good in teaching me to get my license. Hopefully I can come back here again later. Please upgrade the equipment so it will more interesting for diver to use new equipments.

Dive masters are friendly and professional. They are good at spotting marine life (eel, octopus, sharks, shrimps, various critters, etc) The dive sites here are very rewarding as they are full of life. Equipments look worn. The dive shop would do better if they have better management and customer service. They do not record divers who are going out on dives on the board or anywhere else. Imagine if an incident happen during the dive, nobody at the shop knows who is out there and where the divers are.

Do open water course here and get dive license only in 3 days. I learn a lot about diving, Bang Safwan is great instructor.

Had an awesome time with Fikri & Iqbal during our 5days fun dives in Weh Island. They were super friendly, funny and accommodating to our request. They surely made us felt safe during the whole trip whilst knowing we have various diving competency among us (from dive instructor to open water). Equipments at Iboih dive center are also new and from well known brand. Will comeback to Weh Island for sure.

Really enjoyed my time diving with IDC. The guides are friendly and experienced, happy to have a chat both between and after dives. The dive centre has many boats making it easy to cater to both beginners and experienced divers. You even have some of your own agency in choosing where to dive if you so desire, letting you go back to the dive cites you enjoyed the most. Prices were a significant amount less then the dive centres of gapang beach.

I took my open water course here (2016) with a great instructor, Lorenzo and then advanced (2020) with another super instructor, Fahmi. The staffs were friendly and helpful. You should choose this dive center for your licence or fun dive. They do their job professionally with a well maintained equipment. I chose the right dive center for my first time diving.

When I arrived at the site on Pulau Weh and joined dive at this facilities, one of diver get decompression sickness. Their facility didnot provide pure oxygen and owner facility didnot come together with victim during evacuated as well as didnot monitor the victim's condition. Also never ask to hyperbaric operator about a table that will give to victim's and never clean cylinder until the air refilled get smell bad cause of oil mixed.

Great centre to dive with if staying in Pulau Weh. Great value. Located centrally in Iboih and will pick you up before dives at your local bungalow jetty if preferred. Customer service here was excellent. Fahmi was a great and reassuring dive guide. Lesley went above and beyond. Thanks guys.

Amazing dive shop and excellent staff; who are very friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable. This shop will have a special place in my heart because I got Open Water certified with them! Fahmi was my instructor and he’s amazing: I immediately felt safe and taken care of, and had so much fun during my course. They even took me to get a health checkup when at one point I was unsure whether I could dive. I definitely recommend this place!

If you go to Sabang, you will not be disappointed with the tourist attractions. Because, tourist attractions here are very beautiful! I can guarantee that. I went to Gua Sarang to enjoy the view of the sea from the top of the cliff. Then, I tried to go down the cliff to pass a few steps. This is perfect for those of you who like nature tourism, especially beaches. Just paying for a ticket for IDR 5,000 and my friend can enjoy this beautiful nature!

Nice view from hill, but be careful if you walk down to the shores. It is full of rock and uneven road. But the look from the shores is really beautiful

Goa sarang is abaout 5KM From Ibioh. the scenery is beautiful. you can rent a boat to Goa sarang around 250k or u choose to walk theoug to coastal to reach Goa Sarang. but it takes time. To enter the location, it requires to pay 5K retribution. There will be local guard if you need some information. We rent a motorcyle in Bulehan Poart, stay in Ibioh for 2 nights so we have time to explore 0 KM, Goa sarang, diving in Rubiah. i suggest you to try that way

Fee is only Rp 5000, came here on weekend, a lot of people but of course worth place to visit to take some shots!

you need to walk down for approximately 120 stairs, it was quite tiring to go back upstairs. if you want to go to its cave gua sarang, you need to take a boat and pay more.

Great view from the top, need to pay to rent a boat about 200K-250K to go straight to the cave.

Must visit place in Weh Island. Totally nice view and amazing places.Fee : 5K Rupiah only. You can enjoy their swing and top view point here. You can go to the cave by boat and package with photoshoot nearby the cave. Be careful when you walk around to the cave and climb on the rock.

A good place to relax and sightseeing with a blue turquoise sea, you take a boat and pay Rp. 250.000 to take you to the photo spot.

One of tourist attractions in Sabang that you should visit, Goa Sarang had a beautiful view from above with a blue water which is surrounded by green trees, what a beautiful combination<3 oh ya if you wanna go down below the cave you should through the high stairs first ahaha

Freedive Way is a great freediving school. English, french and italian speaking. The instructors are very experienced and passionate about freediving and marine biology. Very kind and pedagogue, they'll make you feel confident to make you progress in freediving. The equipment are high quality and new. You can find many different options from a beginner to an instructor course. The location on Gapang beach is great because quiet, away from the tourists but still with nice vibes, good restaurants and snorkeling on the beach. I would definitely come again, thank you!

The school is well located at the relaxing Gapang beach (with lots of marine life for fun dives just a few minutes away) and Ian and Elyza are super knowledgeable, passionate and welcoming. only freediving school in sumatra. wonderful experience with lots of learning in a compact 3 day AIDA 2 course. If you have the chance to add some fun dives and additional training sessions as well I would really recommend doing that, as it will give you the chance to practice your technique as you go, while being able to take in more of the beautiful underwater world around the island... I was there and did the AIDA 2 course. It was amazing. The teacher Ian (from Banda Aceh) was really patient, helpful and comprehensive. I have never done any freediving course before, but you can learn fast, I dove 20 meters. And I felt totally safe during the whole time. I spent 3 days in Cabang beach-Weh Island to pursue the AIDA2 apena title in Freedive Weh. The place is fantastic and Ian is a very professional and caring instructor. His wife and assistant were also very kind and I had a great experience overall. Just behind the freediving resort there are rooms for rent at very good prices. And next door you can get indonesian food for bargain prices too. The area around Cabang is mostly protected, you can feel that underwater: fishes of all sizes will approach you. 100% recommended, Cabang and freedive weh in particular. Thank you Ian and friends!
