(Translated by Google) 20200530-31 I went on the 3rd Ibaraki⇔Chiba Laundry Home Bullet Tour!
We left the hotel at 8:00 a.m. on a sunny day on the 30th, and decided to stop by Tsuchiura Castle, which was selected as one of Japan's 100 most famous castles, before heading home!
I was able to get Tsuchiura Castle's castle seal and stamp, so I'm heading back to Chiba!
I bought a T-shirt for the site at the Life Sakura store, and on my way to the Sakura Castle ruins, I saw a sign that said "Magata Shrine Parking Lot" and without hesitation, I parked and visited!
Makata Shrine in Sakura is a quiet shrine located in a residential area!
There are many large ginkgo trees around the main shrine!
After worshiping at the worship hall, request a goshuin stamp at the shrine office on the left side of the worship hall, and visit the set shrine and subsidiary shrine, and you will receive the goshuin just in time!
In addition to the Makata Shrine stamp, you can also get the Fukurokuju stamp from Setsusha and Mimine Shrine, and the Ebisu-sama stamp from Shuso Shrine!
There was also an original stamp book, and it was a rare horizontal writing type with very beautiful brocade!
Magata Shrine: Enshrined in Kaburagi-cho, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture
Enshrined deity: Maga Daimyojin
Setsha: Mitsumine Shrine enshrines Izanagison and Izamison, and it is said that there is Fukurokuju next to it, which is said to be beneficial for extending life and bringing good luck and wealth!
Sessha: Inari Shrine is dedicated to Princess Toyouke, and is said to bring blessings for the safety of your family and the prosperity of your descendants!
Suesha Shrine: The Hoso Shrine is dedicated to Sukahikona no Mikoto, and there is a ``Nade Ebisu'' who prays by stroking the statue directly, and it is said to bring good luck in healing illness!
There are 18 "Magata Shrines" that exist only in the area east of Inba-numa in the northwestern part of Chiba Prefecture, and they are called the "Magata Juhachisha" and are shrines that enshrine the "Maga Daimyojin".
Eleven of these shrines are located in Sakura City, and Narita City is home to the main shrine and inner shrine, which were built over 1,700 years ago!
Magata Shrine is popular as a power spot with the best sacred tree in eastern Japan, enshrining a god who is blessed with good harvests and fulfillment in love.
Makata Shrine in Sakura City, which enshrines the "Maga Daimyojin" that has been worshiped by the people around Inba-numa since ancient times and has been revered as "Makata-sama" by the people, was enshrined by officials dispatched from the Yamato court for generations. There is a legend that this shrine is said to have been visited by many people, and there is a record that Toshinomiko Itsuko, who built the inner shrine, also held a post there!
Therefore, it is said that the enshrinement dates back approximately 2000 years!
Magata Shrine in Sakura is located near the Otemon gate of Sakura Castle, which was built by order of Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1610, and is said to have been deeply worshiped by successive generations of castle lords as the guardian deity of the Sakura clan.
For this reason, it is said that many shrine buildings were built, shrine plaques, sacred mirrors, votive tablets, etc. were dedicated.
20220715 I went for a bullet walk visiting Hanyu Shrine and Magata Shrine!
I have decided to go on a business trip to Aomori Prefecture, and I only have 10 days left to stay at home!
Today, I completed 75% of my preparations for my long-term hotel stay in the morning, finished lunch, and went to visit a nearby shrine in the afternoon!
After visiting Hanyu Shrine, Funagata Magata Shrine, and Daikata Magata Shrine, we headed to our last stop of the day, “Sakura Clan General Guardian Magata Shrine”!
Magata Shrine, the general guardian of the Sakura clan, is the former guardian of the Sakura clan, and has been known as ``Makata-sama'' since ancient times and has been loved and revered by the people of this region!
After driving for about 20 minutes from the Daikata Magata Shrine parking lot, I arrived at the Sakura Magata Shrine parking lot!
You will arrive at the torii gate in front in 2-3 minutes on foot from the parking lot!
As I climbed the stone steps and passed through the torii gate, the rain started to get heavier, but the rain had washed the temple grounds and the air felt clear!
It's a popular shrine because of the rainy weather, but I was able to visit it in a reserved state!
We also visited the subsidiary shrines ``Nade Ebisu,'' ``Fukurokuju,'' and ``Inari Daimyojin.''
After visiting the shrine, we received a hand-written stamp commemorating the 300th anniversary of the new construction of the mikoshi!
Since I was able to receive the Goshuin, I will go home with peace of mind and the power of the sacred tree!
Sakura Clan General Guardian Magata Shrine: Enshrined at 933-1 Kaburagicho, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture
Enshrined deity: Wakumusubinokami
History: There are 11 shrines called Magata Shrine in Sakura City, 2 in neighboring Shisui Town, 2 in Narita City, 2 in Tomisato City, and 1 in Yachiyo City!
At first glance, it seems like there are many of them, but if you look at them nationwide, you will notice that they are shrines with unusual names that cannot be found anywhere else, and they only exist in the area from the east side of Inbanuma to the south!
However, in the 9th volume of the ``Engishiki,'' a collection of government ordinances completed approximately 1050 years ago, in the Shimousa Province section, the company name ``Magata Shrine'' is mentioned, and at that time it was already known even in the central government. You can see that it is a shrine!
The enshrined deity, ``Chisan Reimyo,'' has the divine virtue of connecting all things and nurturing, and people are constantly praying for the fulfillment of their wishes such as safe childbirth, family safety, recovery from illness, etc.!
The precincts are surrounded by old and large trees, including a giant ginkgo tree that is over 800 years old, and are said to be a place of relaxation for worshipers!
20240511 I went on a knee doping tour and a bullet tour around the hospital!
After getting my knee drained and doped (hyaluronic acid injection) at Sakura Orthopedics, I decided to visit the shrines and temples on the way to my house to get my knees used to it!
After driving for about 5 minutes from the Sakura Orthopedics parking lot, we arrived at the Magata Shrine worshipers' parking lot!
After worshiping at the shrine, we will continue to worship Fukurokuju and Ebisu in a counterclockwise direction.
On the way, I said, ``Huh?'' I felt something was wrong, or rather, I felt like something was different from before, but the place where Ebisu-sama had been before had collapsed!
After visiting the shrine, I received a hand-written goshuin stamp at the shrine office!
yeah? It seems that the writer of the goshuin has changed, which is exciting, but...💦
20240518 Today, I visited the neighboring "Boshuya Honten" on my way home from lunch!
The precincts were very lively with the sounds of the Sakura Hayashi Preservation Society resounding, and families visiting the shrine were praying!
They also prayed for ``Prayers for recovery from the Noto Peninsula earthquake and support for Suzu City and Susu Shrine''!
