Amazing view, hard climb. 100% worth it. Sunrise was beautiful, the volcano above is active and guide cooked food for us in volcano steam. Recommend guided and take jeep or motor bike tour if you think you can't make the hike. Trail is not maintained very difficult on foot. Monkeys at top are friendlier than the one's at the monkey forest, still don't touch them though. It was a relaxed atmosphere with tons of people getting those great shots for social media, love this hike definitely recommend for the avid adventure seeker. Bring plenty of water which is a must anywhere you go in Bali. There are several locals selling snacks and drinks at the top. The guides tour we took included headlamps, hike guide, food at top, then a driver for 8 hours to take us to the hot springs and coffee plantation as well. Must do a package to get an amazing deal. Loved it!

Majestic experience to ascend nearly 7kms on a rocky terrain to look upon a sight for sore eyes. Probably the best sunrise I have ever witnessed ! Never felt so closer to the nature. Definitely one of the highlight of my Bali outing.

Even beginners like me can climbed 1.717m safely. Please prepare basic cold clothes gear and shoes. There are many good mountain guides. Please do not worry, it’s wonderful!

One of the best sunrise that one would experience. To best experience it, and make it even more worthy, try to do the full trek. It's just sheer fun and a trek of moderate difficulty. Be on time to ensure you see the complete sunrise. This is one place you shouldn't miss when you are in Bali. While Bali is known for its sunset spots, go here for the sunrise!

Amazing experience & totally worth it. My partner and i haven’t been on a hike in a little while so it was definitely challenging but we loved it. The view was breathtaking! The guides we had were so nice and friendly. We had an amazing time and were so proud of making it to the top. Must activity to do if you come to Bali. good to know: if you have vertigo, it is possible but just know that the last 20 minutes, the path is a bit dangerous and there is nothing to hold on to really. Can be a little bit scary for some people. Bring a jacket/sweater because it is pretty cold when you get to the top! Also, bring a couple snacks because the snacks they offer don’t look so good.

Nice but difficult hike in Bali. Specially because it starts at the middle of the night and you hardly can see, the day I went it was fully wet because it had rained….very difficult to do it…even we are young and usually go to the gym. On the top of it, the day we went, we couldn’t enjoy the sunrise because it was fully cloudy and foggy. Really recommend to check the perfect day to go to it…not so recommended, we didn’t enjoy the experience.

Had been here for an early morning sunrise trek, which began with pick-up from my hotel at around 1 AM, and the trek started at 3 AM with a local registered trekking expert. Not a very difficult trek, it is about 2 to 2.5 hrs. uphill, and a bit lesser when descending. Although it will be super cold, be prepared to sweat a lot, and have the best exercise of your life. The last ten minutes are quite steep & it was dark, and drizzling. Unfortunately, could not get to see the sunrise due to weather, but totally worth doing this trek.

Beautiful sunrise 🌅. Fine trip around 6km. 3km to top. It’s not hard hike for anyone who does some walking. Time of the hike is between 40min-1:45. View on the top depends on weather. In this season were there around 200 people. So you will be not alone. Trip with guide cost around 500.000 IDR per person. He lend you head flashlight, take some water and make you breakfast on the top. You can catch dirt bike taxi, if you’re not up to hike. For me, I rather go on foot than with crazy bikers 😵‍💫 Enjoy 😉

What a breathtaking sunrise view! If you are not keen for trekking, you can take a jeep to take high altitude scenary watching the sunset.

This spot is seriously awesome for hiking, especially if you're new to it. It's a bit crowded now, with lots of little stalls and chairs at the top, but the view is still mind-blowing. I'm totally into everything about this place.

Most tour groups start at around 2 am for the bus ride to the starting location. There are numerous options for you to cheat on the hike by hiring a motorbike ride up part of the way. The beginning of the hike is deceptively easy but gets considerably harder about halfway up. However, the amazing sunrise was worth every lost minute of sleep. It's also one of the few times I've seen a "glory" on the ground and not up in an airplane. To see your own shadow cast hundreds of feet away onto a bank of clouds is surreal and fantastic. You don't even need to go all the way to the summit to get that sunrise.

If going up Mt Batur, be careful what package you buy. Hiking is fine, but at 2am? Not recommended. I took a jeep up and down, and the ride was thrilling, but enjoyable. The drivers are all very friendly and skilled. Sunrise was beautiful and worth it. Great experience but once is enough. The place was fairly peaceful and quiet, about 30 people spread across a fairly large area.

Beautiful yet difficult track up the volcano. You need a driver to get there and a guide to take you up. Although it is not a regulation to go up with a guide, those that don’t have one are hassled and abused by the tribe who run it. The guides provide breakfast at the bottom before you trek, at 3am, and then again up the top. The track starts off on a sealed road but it is very steep. There are also hundreds of others doing the trek as well. It then begins to get rocky and it becomes a single file line as you climb up the steps. It is very tiring. There are people who help you along the way and try to sell you drinks and if you need the toilet, it costs 1000. A nice view once you get up there especially on a nice day. The descent is another path and is very steep and more dangerous than the way up.

The views from the top are seriously otherworldly and well worth the hike. We were lucky to summit on a relatively clear day - there was a collective gasp when the sun broke the horizon. The hike up took about 90 minutes. There are some steeper sections with loose sand and rock, which were a bit challenging. I mostly didn't need to use my hands, but I had a hiking stick and good shoes that helped a lot with stability.

Wow I thought this hike was just to see the viewpoint at the top & go back down. We booked with Instagram account @mountbaturvolcano_ It was really organized. Gave us a whole schedule for the day. We got picked up, Breakfast, coffee, water, headlamps. Guide knew all the best photo spots. Taught us all about the volcano & the craters. Helped us through all the tough spots. I would highly recommend!! The views within the craters & the volcanic steam was so surreal! The way down is actually the most beautiful part. There’s monkeys & dogs that live up there. Bring: Sweater, sweatpants for at the top, wear dark shoes bc there’s a lot of dirt.

Worth the 3:30 am wake up. The hike was a bit challenging to begin with but you are rewarded with an amazing sunrise. It’s best to stay near the volcano for the early hike.

Crazy once in a lifetime experience to hike up an ACTIVE volcano for sunrise. Definitely a group experience to trek with a tour. Some people say it’s easy, it’s rather difficult if you aren’t used to hiking, definitely get some equipment and shoes with grip is the most important part. But, even if it was difficult, the views at the top are so worth it. Plenty of rocks, plenty of dirt so do be careful on the way up and down. My now fiancée and I did the hike and we were exhausted and slept for a long time afterwards but the photos were all worth it.

We embarked on a guided tour to reach the summit at sunrise, covering a distance of 9.1 km over approximately 4 hours with an elevation gain of 606m. Caution is advised at the summit, where certain areas are notably steep and prone to sliding. Upon reaching the peak, resting spots are available along with vendors offering food and beverages. Anticipate a significant number of fellow climbers throughout the ascent. This hike could be classified as moderately easy, requiring no specialized skills or advanced physical abilities. Thus, it presents a wonderful opportunity to challenge oneself while reveling in the breathtaking vistas.

If you are interested in hiking and visiting Bali, then this is one of the best place that I could suggest in Bali for hiking to start this hiking, you need to start from morning 3 AM and the hiking will start at 4 AM from the base camp you if you are not a local villager, then you need to hire a guide to do this hiking. For hiring a guide, then you need to pay 400k for the local guide and also you need to pay some extra for the whole . Mount Batur hiking they will provide you with breakfast and also accompany you throughout the whole hiking I found this hiking, little expensive because even if you are not that experienced, guide is not required as per me, but they won’t let you in without a guide

Hard hiking path for beginners but totally worth it. Recommended for those who wants to collect unusual memories. But please note: hiking trainers are preferable and please keep in mind that you not only climb on the mountain but then come back down which is equally hard :) It was hard for me since this was the first hiking-climbing experience for me, but looking back, if I could turn back time, I would definitely do it again. Amazing experience ! We did the sunrise hike and began at 4am. The hike was really enjoyable but I would definitely only recommend doing it if your fitness levels are good. We arrived just before sunrise and it was amazing ! The views were spectacular, you get a grand view of the mountains opposite, and you sit above cloud level which makes for amazing photos. Mt Batur is also an active volcano, so you get to see the steam pockets coming out of the sides of the hills. Overall a fantastic experience!

More difficult trail to the top, because of volcano rocks. Needed hiking shoes and if you coming on sunset and early hours, is better to get guide. From the parking that takes 2-2,5 hour, depends on speed. Very lovely view 🌅.

Myself and 3 of my friends booked the Mt Batur sunrise trekking tour through a local company for 400k each. We were picked up from our hotel at 2am, made our way to the volcano, ate fried bananas then we started the trek. It was a beautiful hike that was challenging at times but 100% recommend doing it! We made it to the top just in time for sunrise and it was so beautiful. People ate their provided food at the summit, enjoyed the sunrise and explored then we made the trek back to base. Definitely recommend bringing a guide as there are people who are aggressive if people don’t have guides and the tracks could get confusing. 10/10!!

Amazing views, the venue is worth it just for this. The food they serve can be hit and miss. Guess it depends on your taste. Loved the soup and some of local mains. The black rice pudding and fried bananas were not as well received though. Get dessert elsewhere in my opinion. Unless you're happy with some fruit. The buffet was a bit pricey compared to the rest of Bali cuisine but at less than USD $15 (200k IDR), still very affordable.

Spent 2 hours walking around Danau Batur. Really love that the lake comes with views of 3 magnificent mountains and the lake is surrounded by local villages instead of tourism. Beautiful blue sky accompanied with it. Tourists are non existent in this village. Love to be around locals and no other foreigners. We also love the fact that this place offers serenity and peace, in touch with nature. Lots of farm lands, locals and sound of crickets.

Beautiful lake located beside Mount Batur. The sunrise here was incredible. Can be very touristy at times. Come very early in the morning to avoid other tourists.

Nice people but... a tourist Scam I was directed to here by a local temple guard at Pura Tirta Empul. Big up to my lovely guide, Julia, who toured me around the site for free... showed me the arabica, robusta and cacao beans... and also explained about the Luwak coffee (now, who first thought of THAT idea?! ;). You get a full range of coffees and teas to try, all for free (except the Luwak which is 50K a shot). HOWEVER... the coffee/tea on sale in the shop is, IMHO, totally overpriced, and not half as good as when I tried it on site. The Bali and Luwak coffee come as whole or ground beans, but the rest of it is effectively 'instant coffee' mixed with sugar (about 40% I'd estimate) and/or soy milk powder. I spoke to a couple of local Balinese afterwards, and they confirmed this is a scam. For example: I bought a 200g packet of Ginseng coffee and one of Bali Coffee with Cocoa - that cost me 300K AFTER I negotiated a discount. To put that in context, that's roughly DOUBLE what I'd pay in the UK for a top brand 100% arabica bean like Illy. Take into account the cost of living difference... and you are paying almost 10 times what you should for instant coffee.

Beautiful nice escape. Tried like 10 different types of coffee they didn’t charge us anything for the coffee and tour but you are expected to buy some products which are relatively well priced. The prices are a bit touristy but honestly I liked it. I recommend bringing a cigar to enjoy the coffee with.

This place is included on some tours to promote their coffee. The free tasting is excellent although some of the beverages were sickly sweet. Of course, you feel obliged to purchase some of their products, which I did. The ginger tea is ok but the Mocha requires a lot more powder per cup than the recommended 2 tablespoons to achieve the creaminess of the sample. Not great value. The main attraction is to sample coffee made from beans regurgitated by a Civet. Although you have to pay extra for a sample cup of this coffee. They had a couple of Civets in a cage but I was assured that the production Civets are left in the wild. The worst part of the experience was being harassed by aggressive vendors in the car park before we left.

We visited this lovely plantation today. The two workers that showed us around were really informative and were so grateful for custom after a long hard 2 years of Covid. The luwak coffee was very good and I bought some handmade extra virgin coconut oil and incense sticks. The coconut oil is very good quality. I would recommend this plantation to anyone! Please visit here and give these lovely people some time to show you around how they craft their coffee.

It was absolutely fantastic. We arrived during a bit of a rain shower and were warmly greeted with umbrellas by what turned out to be our amazing guide: a local woman that explained everything to us and even sat by us during our tasting of 12 teas and coffees. She answered all the questions we had, about the plantation and balinesen life. A truly great experience and a super nice woman. After our tasting we had a quick look in the shop and ended up buying some tea and coffee, but it didn't feel pushy at all. It felt appropriate to give a small extra donation as well. Thank you for this great moment during our holiday!

Lovely place. Its so natural and exploring different varieties of coffee and tea is so amazing. Especially try out Avocado and coconut coffee , lemon and rosella tea. It's totally tasty and classic hot drink 👌 Though I didn't try luwak coffee, i saw Luwak animal and its coffee process from potty ☕ it's very expensive coffee

Such a cool experience meeting some of the family members that own and operate this coffee and tea plant. 35 families combine their efforts to grow, gather, process, package, and distribute many varieties of coffee and tea. One of the daughters gave my wife and I a private tour, at no charge, to help us learn about the whole process their families go through for their coffee and tea products. At the end of the tour, we got a free tasting of each coffee and tea flavor. Again, no charge. They've got a store front so that you can purchase any of your favorites from the tasting.

Great experience and very fun time. Interesting history of organically produced coffee and tea. You can sample many teas before you buy :) afterwards you can purchase the products you like in the shop. The view in the valley is stunning

So they make you taste different types of coffees which are free of cost for everyone. If you want to taste the Luwak coffee then you have to pay for it. They will give you a tour of the farm. But the coffee they sell is way more expensive than what you may get in the local market. I mean Indonesian coffee is cheaper in India than Indonesia .

This place is really cool. You go through a really cool path on the entrance and you get two sample. Maybe 12 to 15 coffees and teas. Really cool view. Really nice. Helpful stuff. I would highly highly suggest this. We almost skipped it, but it was one of the coolest parts of the trip

There is free entrance. You walk through the jungle with a guide. Then you taste ~12 coffee/cacao/tea for free. You will learn about Luwak coffee. Later you can buy products in shop which are pretty (too) expensive. However, still nice experience. Best guide ever was Tari!!!

I can really recommend this place. It is a lovely Coffee plantage. They also have tea, cinnamon, vanilla etc. It is next to a jungle and you will get Tea or/and coffee to try and enjoy. Very yummy. They show you around. It is Free but of course you give them something. :) Not pushy at all. Ver friendly and calm people. Can really recommend this for introverts

Really nice place to visit. Kind and friendly staff told a lot of information about coffee making. Very NON-commercial, we could try a variation of different coffees and teas, really nice and we finished with the famous Luwak coffee. If you want you can bought coffee or tea in the shop

Really nice place to drink the “golden” coffee. I was a bit sceptic and didn’t want to tribute to animal harm as I thought these poor creatures lived in cages but they assured ne they still lived in the wild at that the coffee beans and poo were found by farmers. You also get 13 free samples of local coffees and thee and they were delicious. Definitely recommend!

Great experience and the way the girl explained how coffee and tea are grown there is very informative. I bought 2Million(indonesian rupiah) worth of tea & coffee as the taste of all the teas & coffees was amazing also the location is very serene where you can feel nature’s presence and the way they have maintained the farm is truly appreciative. I had a great time at Cantik Agriculture Luwak Coffee plantation in Bali. It was fascinating to see how this type of coffee is made, and the staff let us taste different varieties before buying. Their hospitality made us buy some coffee to take home, also it had amazing veiws. Highly recommended!

This is the second time I've visited Cantik and I love it. I know their star is the Luwak coffee but I really love their teas too, especially the Roselle tea. I bought a packet the last time I visited in 2019 and I could not find anything as good from Malaysia. So when I visited Bali this time I made sure your group visited thus place and I went home with 4 big bags! The guide was very informative and very helpful. It's a great place to learn about how Luwak is made. My recommendation is the vanilla coffee, the Roselle tea and the cacau drink. This is a must for my next visit as well.

Amazing experience! You get a lot of information about production of coffee,tea, fruits and also tasting all kind of coffees&teas for free. ☕️ Very nice staff, tell you a lot of information. Everyone there is local, they prepare product there as well, so in the end of the tasting you can buy some local products and with that help to people what exactly live in this area. 🇮🇩

It was lovely to talk to the local people and learn from them about how they grow and roast Balinese coffee and see all the different stages the coffee beans go through. I would recommend sampling the different coffees they produce and the luwak for the experience. You can purchase lots of different coffees in their shop alongside other bits that they also make.

READ BEFORE VISITING Be prepared to be attacked from the locals upon arrival at the parking. When you buy the entrance ticket for 50k, in which is included the sarong and belt for entrance and also tour guide be aware that the women around the ticket counter will try to sell you the sarong, you must explicit say to them you will only rent the sarong that is included in the ticket. It ruins the tranquility of the Balinese people and culture when you come to such places and they are so pushy to try to sell you spmething. Maybe i would buy something else from them if they were not so annoying 🙏 The temple itself is beautiful and all the sculptures inside with the unforgetable architecture👍👏👏

Located in the top of Kintamani area, surrounds by Batur Mountain, Batur Lake, and beautiful blue sky. We paid 50k IDR for each person to enter the site (included the cloth fee) although we heard the entrance was free since pandemic. There is also a Konghucu temple inside the temple. Be careful to be offered merchandise by local seller inside and outside the temple. Just leave them politely but firm if you don't interested. Many tourists trap which has to be improved by local government.

At this particular temple, a large number of rituals and traditional activities, many of which take the form of prayers, are carried out.

Visited Pura Ulun Danu Batur while in Kintamani area, actually I want to go inside and see the beauty of this temple to the fullest however since at the time of my visit (30 March 2024) there's traditional ceremony for Balinese people I gave up my intention to visit, since I'm afraid that I will disrupting the progression of the even. There're many seller and old lady forcing us to rent the sarong (just keep going and ignore if you don't want to), there're many sellers since it's one of tourist attraction in Kintamani and there's a ceremony going on. Still this place is one of a beautiful cultural heritage of Bali. Totally recommend to visit while in Kintamani area.

The place is calming, the vibes always wonderful. My family and I always come here when there's an annual Ceremony in the Temple.

Pura was great! But beware of scam. It is displayed on ticket desk that your ticket was included with sarong etc. But some women forced you to pay rent cost or buy their sarong (new condition). I forced to pay rent cost and already gave money to them, but luckily I went back to ticket desk and saw the displayed. I told the FO that I forced to pay again, then she helped me to get my money back.

The temple complex is huge and gorgeous. Well preserved and maintained. Nice view from the back part to Batur and Agung, if no clouds are around. Worth visiting, however... Be careful when paying. The ticket includes free sarong and the guide. Do not pay extra for these services. If your guide is good (ours was hardly speaking English, therefore almost useless, but still ok), you may give her/him a tip, but it is not obligatory, no matter what the "sarong women" keep telling. Sellers are harrassing, be very determined, I had to be even harsh, if I wanted them to leave me finally alone (and then they felt insulted and did not care, how I felt...).

We visited today during the start of the Full Moon Ceremony, and the temple was very festive. The roads were jam-packed. I personally loved the weather and the temple architecture, as well as the praying rituals. You can pay for the tickets over the counter, which is 30k per pax. The ladies would lead you to buy sarong but just tell them you want to rent instead. If you have a tight schedule, I would 110% suggest visiting just Tirta Empul. Even our driver avoided entering this Pura with us and was more enthusiastic about Tirta Empul. Our experience was ruined by a lady who insisted that we couldn't enter the temple without a guide, even when we told her we wanted to walk around ourselves. The "guide" did not explain anything abt the temple and merely brought us to a point behind the temple with a view of Mt. Batur. She also rushed us through the temple, which was irritating. Despite claiming that "saya tak mintak wang" (I do not ask for money) at the beginning, she pestered us at the end until we paid the tour guide fee. It was very scammy. We would have willingly paid had it been a proper tour.

Ulun danu batur temple is located at batur lake area kintamani,there is also another ulun danu temple at beratan so dont get cobfused 😁 When we were there,the view is amazing,not as crowd as its cousin in beratan.you need to wear a sarong to enter there and the officer is really kind and friendly ❤️ the view of abang mountain,batur mountain and lake batur is great,and you can take the picture everywhere as long as you like no need to wait for spots ❤️ You definitely need to visit this place to see the beautiful view and complete your itunerary of exploring kintamani 👍

Beware, this place is a tourist trap! As soon as you arrive, they’ll usher you into a shack and sell you a 50k ticket. Once you have paid for a ticket they will show you the sarongs and demand 500k for each sarong. After being scammed you will be shown to the temple, but don’t be too excited - the temple itself is nothing to write home about. Its neglected with trash and animal droppings everywhere. All of this is experienced while a “tour guide” takes you to all of her friends to sell you more trinkets. Overall not a great experience, save your money and steer clear of this place.

Pura Ulun Danu significa templo de la fuente o cabeza del lago e ilustra la importancia del agua para Lis habitantes de Batur y de Bali para regar sus arrozales. We ended up at this place by mistake. There is another temple with a similar name,which is on lake batur itself. The beginning part of this temple is in okay condition. Not the best temple compared to others. Do not let the women outside the temple bully you into having them give you tours or sell things. The temple is free entrance. Get your own sarong to wear and rent a wrap, which goes over the sarong (bargain with women). It is about a 10 minute or less walk inside.

This temple was a total SCAM. I do not recommend to visit. Tourist trap. The temple looks abandoned. It is very dirty and full of rubbish. It reminded me of a party the day after. It is not really worth your time and money. First, there is no sign at the entrance that says the minimum to be paid. The woman that let us in and lent us a sarong asked for 150.000 Rp. per person, a totally abusive amount for what you find inside. She did not put the money in the glass money box, it went directly to her pocket. During the visit, we were alone but being observed constantly. Another woman was trying insistently to take us to see a good panorama spot outside the temple.

Beautiful temple. Unfurtnally I can't give 5 stars due to the women in front of the temple trying or more pushing you to buy a Sarong I said no I don't want one. Then they said, you can't go into the temple and I answered fine then no temple for me. Suddendly they said OK you get a Sarong at the entrance. There is a sign saying donation for the temple. Pura Kehen -. Pura Kehen is a Balinese Hindu temple located in Champag, Bali, on a high mountain. Pura Kehen is very ancient and is mentioned since the 9th century. Incredibly huge banyan tree grows in the courtyard of the temple at least for 400 years. The place is not very popular among tourists. There are few people only. Entrance fee is 30 thousand (2 dollars) including the rent of a sarong. The sellers in the parking lot are too sticky, they smeared the pleasant impressions of visiting the temple

Pura Kehen is a Balinese Hindu Temple located in Cempanga Bangli Regency. It was established in the 13th century as the Royal Temple of the Bangli kingdom. The temple has an outer, middle and inner sanctums. The landscape is decorated with statues representing characters of Ramayana, the Indian Epic. It is a beautiful temple worth visiting. They’re a gigantic Banyan tree in the premises. A wooden bell, which was apparently at the base of the tree, has now risen several feet above ground level as the tree grew over the centuries!

Compared to Pura Tirta Empul, Pura Kehen was deserted. That was great! It’s a 13th century Balinese Hindu temple with a gorgeous ancient banyan tree. 50k to enter like most other temples.

We went around noon and we had the place to ourselves. I liked the temple being so old and rich in detail. Also, the large tree looks like it's hundreds of years old. We paid 50k rupees for a couple but we had to haggle down from 100k. There are no prices anywhere, so you don't even know if you should pay for a ticket or not, but anyway! On the downside - and this is a common thing to the majority of landmarks and attractions in Bali - there are no billboards or any kind of info for tourists to understand better the history of the place. One would enjoy it much more if more context was provided.

There are no tourists here. I don’t have a guide to explain to me about the temple, so I found it quite boring because all temples look the same to me in Bali. The only thing people might be looking at is the thousands-year-old Bayan tree. The entrance ticket is used as a donation. Entrance ticket = IDR 50,000/person

Nice size temple on a hill. Some really interesting stonework and structures . Very few visitors

Already have high expectation but the place is just small. But the atmosphere is very mysthical. Real skulls and real dead body. When I visited there, there was a 1 week recently dead villager so the body is still intact. No pungent smell tho. So many stuffs from the deceased so at first it looked like a pile of junk. Better to hire tour guide first before arriving there because the local people tend to ask money.

The price to go here from Trunyan Village is quite expensive 500K for 2 people for 5 mins boats which is the price going to GILI and back to BALI again, At least know the place for once, the place is so peaceful but hope the government puts a bit of work into this place for the better, the story behind is amazing, no smell at all because The name Trunyan (also spelled ‘Tarunyan’) may have originally come from an ancient banyan tree, Teru Menyan, that sits at the cemetery It’s a giant tree, and the locals credit its fragrance with somehow neutralizing the smell of the rotting bodies at Desa Trunyan cemetery.

Only worth visiting for an insight into the unique culture, but this is a small area and ultimately underwhelming. While 2 of us were travelling at the time when there were hardly any tourists due to covid, the villagers by the lakeside were asking for Rp 600k minimum just to rent a canoe for us to paddle to Terunyan village, and refused to accept Rp 400k that we were willing to offer. Funny how they’d rather have canoes empty than to make some money (which in my opinion Rp 400k is already very generous). Ultimately we rented a canoe from Warung D’pondok from across the lake for Rp 100k, canoed over, and then paid 2 guys by the cemetery another Rp 100k of “donations” to see it.

Not recommended to visit this place, unless you like supernatural things and your wallet ready to be ripped off. The place is not well maintained and it gave you eerie feelings yet the locals selling off this experience in the name of culture. In my perspective, the deads should be treated with respect and leave them peacefully in their resting place. Selling off this experience for the sake of social media content is kinda unethical, don't you agree?

Wouldn't recommend to go there. Of course it is a special tradition of which you can see some part. However there is actually not much to see and the place was mostly a lot of rubbish when we visited. Our 'guide' wasn't speaking English and was also not making any attempt to explain anything. Even though we paid 1.5 mln Rupiah for the 2 hour excursion we were still asked to make an additional 'donation' to keep the site in condition.

Very expensive for what it is, but much cheaper if you use a driver and ask them to negotiate with the boat rental people. Our motor boat was full of patches in poor condition. The motor mysteriously stopped twice (in an effort to get more money). Toilet provided was substandard. Cost was 1.4 m IDR for motor boat rental, access fees etc. The beggars were shocking too.

The cemetery was once cool and special but tourism destroyed its magic totally. There is a huge new pier in front of the ancient cemetery to welcome the loads of people who are most often shocked and disappointed after leaving the place. There is a lot of trash in the cemetery and many skulls are gone already. It does not look like in the old pictures anymore. The boat price is totally overcharged for what it is. They start with 850000 and negotiating can bring you maybe 500000 if you are lucky. I would not recommend to take a boat from the Terunyan village. It's s trap. The road to there is narrow and bad and people in the village only want your money. It was funny how they agreed with me on 600000 for the tour and then the moto guide asked me for money for himself and the boat driver asked for money for himself and the moto guy asked after the tour for an extra and the lady living next to the parking spot also asked an extra and the beggars around too. You really feel not welcome in this village.

We visited the village to start out tracking to Teranyan hill, but the local guy didn’t allow us to go by the trail, menacing demanded money as he said us for garbage cleaning. He forced us to give him 100 k each and was very rude. He didn’t have any tickets though. Definitely a scammer. Trail on the hill is super dirty, plastic everywhere, looks like was never cleaned.

quite surreal but not as scary as anticipated. caretaker / guide are quiet and relaxed and open to all questions. it isn’t a solemn or serious situation. it is though run down and dirty. under sensing that’s its their ancient practice and culture (before Hindu came to bali) but it’s weird to see corpses, bones and remains just scattered on the ground literally side by side w trash. there’s paper, money, old flip flops and broken bones just strewn about. One of the statues was tipped over and the guy said they just leave it because that’s how it occurred naturally. it makes for a run down, haphazard, land full type scene. the bamboo cages are also old and in disrepair. if the cemetery was manicured well, cleaner and generally more organized it would be actually quite an enchanting and respectful scene. u end up feeling bad that the final resting spot for these people is amongst rags and filth. whatever, it’s their culture and tradition. recommended either way. donation helpful but not mandatory and no one will ask.

This place actually very unique, this is place for Hindu Aga people respect to the death, usually for Hindu the dead body will cremation / Ngaben, but in Trunyan village, the dead body will lay down on the soil and let it décompose until became bone. This practical culture now is only in Trunyan, we can't find this at other place in Indonesia anymore. So pity, the organisation for tourism not well developed at this place. Many tourist not comfortable with scam of the ticket for enter, the boat price to reach the burial place and also many beggars. The tourists have bad experience visiting this place because the manner of the people. The local government should more give éducation to the people is important not really take money oriented. So why not many tourist visit this place, i am not really recommend this place not because the place is bad, but the manner of the people should improve again if need more tourist come and have good experience visiting this place.

Place is really unique but alot of trash and really small. They’re is no official price so they will try to charge you up to 850k-1M to go there (which really isnt worth it). Bargain price for 400k-600k but still really expensive to go see a pile of trash with bones and begar at entrance. They will also try to ask for more donations when leaving and make you feel bad while you already overpaid for this activity. Would only recommend if you have low expectations and pay maximum 100k.

come here solo hiking when rainy season. Amazing place, quiet, and gorgeous. From park area to Post 1 is easier, but from post 1 to peak bit challenging especially during rainy season. If you a beginner this mountain is recommended but please climb on Summer season ( at leas not raining season)

Do not follow the map direction if you want to get the registration post, or you will ended at the abang village, down to the mountain. The best way to get the registration post is by passing the Museum Geopark Batur, you find the three junction, and turn left. Just follow the main road, in about 8 or 10 minutes you will find the registration post. It cost Rp. 24.000/ person for entrance fee at the registration post. Before the parking lot, the locals will ask you for donation as well. The mountain it self is good for beginner hiker. It takes about 3,5 - 4 hours to get to the summit. Camping is a good option when you get to the summit. Be sure that you get the Sunrise and sunset. They are very nice at the abang mountain. Stunning view, overlooking to the batur lake and mountain

Mount Abang is the third highest mount in Bali after Mount Agung and Mount Batukaru. It takes about 2 hours from Denpasar by motorcycle. Before entering the mount track, you should pay for the enterance ticket (just 10k rupiah). There is no parking lot, but you can park at the side of the road near the starting point track. Unlike Mount Batur, there are no toilets nor stalls near the starting point. The track to reach the top of the mount are green lush forest with mesmerizing view. Some spots of the track is really slippery and steep, thus, make sure you wear your mountaineering shoes! It has 2 stop point for you to take a rest during the hiking before reach the. Every stop point has a pelinggih (sort of a place of resident of the God manifestation in Balinese belief). The Hindu Balinese hikers usually pray while taking a rest there. Since every stop point is a holy place, it is not recommended to pee around the place. You can urinate in the bottle or in the bushes as you trekking (but not near the Pelinggih). You can set up tent here if you want. It takes around 1 hour from the starting point to the 1st stop point; 1 hour from the 1st to the 2nd stop point; and subsequent 2 hours to the top (the duration indeed depend on the hikers). At the top of the mount, you can enjoy majestic scenery. Mount Batur can be seen clearly from this place. On the other side of the top, you can see green wavy slope of the mount. Really fascinating! The hikers usually set up tent here. They spend the night and enjoy the sunrise in the morning.

The view from the start until the top is great, beautiful, so green, fresh.. I love the trees too! so lovely. For local people it cost Rp.15k for the administration. The track little bit wet and muddy (but it's not a problem), sometimes we need to climb the roots(?) and walk/hike like a ninja (I don't know how to describe it😂) well the track is so challenging, it's better than mt. batur's track, for me it's so great!! I suggest, dont use slippery shoes and use gloves when hiking (it's needed to hold the plants to help you climbing, and to protect u from burs in some plants. I think it’s better to start hiking at 1:00 am (if u want to hike relaxly(?)) or at 2 am to see the sunrise, and if u do it, dont forget to bring flashlight. No many people hiking here, and it's make me feel more free.. Please be prepared for the toilet at the tracking office, it's better to bring tissue for yourself. Oya, be careful on the way back home around the office because there are people that will stop you to offer u a pray (while she sells u bracelet), I've already tricked by them, but it's ok..😂 I've already go here 3 times, and waiting for the 4th ahaha.. Hope u enjoy your hiking here 😊

The track a little bit difficult, but it’s was a lot of fun, what I love most is the beautiful jungle and the view from the Top was amazing.

2-3 hour one way tracking, light/middle difficult, have several routes. Take water minimum 1L and some food, good shoes! Small temple on the top. If it rains, as on any mountain, the difficulty increases! Good luck)

Mt Abang is one of the best mountain to climb in Bali for the view. The other is Mt Batur. Actually both of the mountain are located at the same district, result from the great explosion of The Great Mt Batur in the past. The track is quite easy to find without any guide. Back-and-forth journey might take approx 4-6 hours. The view of Mt Batur, Lake Batur and Batur caldera is mesmerizing from the peak.

Greed of locals makes this unaccessible for many. On the bright side, we just met other 5 people last Saturday on the mountain as a results of this attempted to squeeze out money from hikers

Interesting museum. Free entrance although I would expect to be changed for this quality display and nice building. Recommended. After the visit you can go in to the village and have a good meal in one of the restaurants.

Very good experiences. You can see various stones, the story of the volcano eruption, woods and animal(mummified), that was live in Batur forest. Must visit place if you like history and geography

Amazing museum. Good education on Bali volcanoes history from the pre-historic to modern era, also there are some cultures information as well. They have many collections of rocks / frozen lava, good to know that. The entry is free. The only cons, when the power electricity goes off, we cannot see the cinema there as the genset power cannot reach the cinema room, but this totally understable due to during pandemic probably it will be costly to maintain those. Totally recommended 👍👍

This place was pretty cool, especially after hiking Batur. The staff were really friendly and informative. Some of the information was only in Indonesian (or Balinese), so we couldn’t read it, but it was still cool to see/learn here.

Very interesting yet educational experience learning about mount batur, surrounding mountains and other geological features across Indonesia. Upstairs, there is also a cultural museum showcasing the local culture. Some exibits weren't working, and none of the QR codes worked, but there was still plenty to read and see. Entry is free, but I highly recommend making a small donation to help them out.

Batur Geopark Museum is a museum that presents information on national and foreign earth parks. It is located on Jalan Raya Penelokan, Kintamani, Bangli, Bali. Access to get there can be brought by car and bus, there you can see various types of relics, an entrance ticket to the Batur Kintamani Geopark museum, visitors must pay a ticket of IDR 20,000 for adults while for children IDR 15,000 and there you can watch the history of the mountain Batur, there are many facilities that you can get there, starting from spacious parking and toilets, free waifi. I recommend this place to visit and the service there is very good

The museum is bigger than expected. There are 2 more sections on the second floor and walking the outdoor path leading to them was quite refreshing to us. We spent almost an hour inside. Oh and the toilet on the second floor is surprisingly clean.

Interesting place to learn about Mount Batur, a member of Indonesia's ring of fire. Mount Batur is an active volcano which also hosts numerous kinds of animals and vegetation, as well as various Balinese traditional communities. The museum displays scenes and samples of rocks, plants, taxidermy, statues and fossils in its two-stories building. A mini theater is also available for visitors to watch a short documentary movie about the volcano and the communities around it. A scenic restaurant is also available nearby (less than 5-minutes walk) where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Batur and its vast Batur Lake, an active caldera of the volcano.

My favorite museum for now here in Kintamani. Free entrance (as I understand), just need registration. Few floors, huge halls with information! It was very interesting to know about eruption, volcanos and geology of islands in Indonesia. I enjoyed time there! Inside you can find laptops with free access and toilet, huge halls with lava samples, stones, movie screens and calm atmosphere Friendly stuff and huge parking inside! I read there a lot about culture and geology, now I know why volcanos are so important for bali people 😍

I will visit again. The first leg of the museum walk is interesting in a boring way (lots of different kinds of stones), but if you are interested in geology and science in general, this is quite informative. Most are in Bahasa. The second leg of the walk is about Balinese Culture, living with active volcanoes, vegetation and animals... Now THIS IS interesting... Again, sadly most arw in Bahasa, Need ENGLISH please! I wish there were more information in English 😉🙃... Please provide translation And it's free. No admission fee, you just need to list your name, date, number of people visiting.

I like this kinda nature information. We even got to walk beside the jungle which is part of the museum. But i hope gov pay more attention to this museum to improve its future. The barcode provided was not working. The projector is not working. Some parts are neglected. The toilet has no tissue, it is clean tho, but some has no door. The shops are closed and looked not lively. I pray for the better future for this museum, I'm gonna be back if i have the luck to come back here and wish to see an improved version.

To escape the insanity of all the tourists crawling all over one another to take pictures of Mount batur, I recommend definitely stopping at this Museum. It is free. It is extremely interesting, air condition, and teaches you a lot. There are exhibits pertaining to Geo parks, volcanoes, Indonesian volcanoes, tectonic plates, and Indonesian culture.

Just wow! absolutely breathtaking view, whilst also swatting away the 2 for 1 bracelets and sunglass deals! If you are driving by, it is well worth the few minute park, nothing quite like it!

Everyone should try coming here, I was hooked up with Bali star tour agency for my package with jeep with my hubby. It’s our first time in Bali everything was safe going up to mount batur, they serve you food and drinks and it’s cold up there prepare jacket and comfortable pants. Would love it to go up here again.

Beautiful of mount batur in the Morning. The nice time to visit around 7.30 to 9.00 AM , but all depends all the weather. Entry of Kintamani area will be charge for ticket, IDR 10K for kids and IDR 20K for adult, you will get a receipt for this ( they only accept cash for this payment ).

Going there for the sunrise is amazing though one has to encounter a lot of other visitors and congestions on the climb. It is a must to bring proper grippy shoes for the ascent but more important for the descent since you will be walking on pebbles or loose rocks. Also bringing water is advisable because the climb can be somewhat exhausting for most and staying hydrated keeps you focused. There is no toilet on the way and because it can be really crowded it is highly recommended to visit a bathroom before the ascent.

This is view to see the Volcano (once erupted). I heard there is hot spring around. But couldn't go due to lack of time There are lot of hawkers force you to buy many things. You can bargain more than to 60%. Infact you can get good things for cheaper prices They also take Indian rupees.

My friends and myself did this hike/walk with the tour and enjoyed every moment. The tour guides stop frequently with the groups to make sure everyone is okay, once at the top, they serve a breakfast of boiled eggs, banana bread (banana sandwich really), fruit and a chocolate bar while you take in the view! I recommend wearing joggers that you don’t mind getting dirty and have some grip as you will need this for the walk back down.

Expensive to simply view / take photos of the volcano and lake at 50k IDR per person. You can get the same view from surrounding roads for free, and avoid some of the street salespeople. Unless you value that traditional tourist experience and want to pay for it, your choice ;) That said, it is a beautiful place and mountain and lake. Enjoy.

The Lake Batur view from Kintamani Point is beautiful. It is very cold in the evening. Warm clothes are highly recommended.

Such an heavenly place , i was driving a motorcycle from Singaraja to this place , and it need two hours to get here ,but it doesn't make me bored with the trip at all, because while driving, I can see a lot of amazing views on the left and right of the road that I pass. I Love Bali. Kintamani Will be the best place after all of the best place in Bali. You should come an check. That's gonna be awesome trip.

Best place to capture sunrise in timelapse. Not crowded and privacy guaranteed. No issues with the parking and able to view Misty clouds. Pretty cold in the morning before sunrise. Must visit to watch sunrise between the mountains.

Good place to view the lake and the mountain. Because this on kintamani, of course the air is cold. No need to pay anything for enter this place, but I don’t like the local seller who insist selling their stuff, event we already reject them, so weird.

I went on a guided mount Batur sunrise hike. Totally worth it! To see the sunrise, you will start the hike at 2 or 3 AM. The hike itself will be around 2 hours long. It is not easy, but also not hard. I would say - moderate level. There are many locals with the bikes offering transfer to the top or down the mountain throughout all the route, so if you feel tired and have cash (approximately 350k IDR) you can decide to use this option at any moment. The way down is more challenging as the route is very rocky and slippery. Make sure you bring cash with you, as there are some local sellers and a cafe at the top of the mountain.

Beautiful view! Too bad it's hard to enjoy it with locals harassing you to buy stuff. They try and force you to hold things, they say you owe money

Hyped place... Actually you see a small mountain from a few kilometres away... If you are lucky you get a clear view or you will only have a view of a shrouded mountain in the clouds... You don't see an active volcano like expected... There is actually a 6 hour Trek to see the caldera and the Trek starts post midnight... You can easily avoid this especially if you are driving from Ubud - it takes several hours to reach here and the roads are very narrow with boring Kerala type villages along the drive...

It is a short escape and it's free. We enjoy durian and mango's fruit there, it taste sweet and juicy. Mount batur, lake batur and mount agung all in one scenery, it is a WOW moment. Across the point, you could found 5 cave. It is built in civilization of Netherland hundreds years ago. Peoples escape themselve and rice in this cave. Fortunately, the cave is low maintenance. The toilet also low maintenance and smells bad. Dogs poop is everywhere. Beware your step.

I must say kintamani has the best weather. When there is heat and humidity in other area of bali it was cool and Breeze. At the view point many local seller will come to sell product you can bargain as much as you can with them they will sell you at very low prices

You can come by car/txi or by scooter. Enjoy the view or take tracking. Have food drink or do some shopping.

There are so many beautiful temples in Bali but this one is not worth the 50k entree fee. It also takes 300 steps up :(. Probably if there is a ceremony it can be nice but when we were there it did not feel sacred at all.

A good view of three mountains (Batur, Abang and Agung) may be seen from near the main temple at the top. Remember to bring Balinese temple clothing if you want to enter the temple.

It's meant to be the highest temple in Bali. You have to climb up around 300 steps of a staircase. On top you have a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. There are also some stone sculptures at the top level. It's an unspectacular, a little bit secluded temple, so don't expect too much. Otherwise you will meet nearly no tourists there, thus it's not that kind of temple which is overcrowded with masses of tourists. It's a calm/quiet/serene location where you will find tranquility.... for those who appreciate this kind of silence.

Nice coffee gardens and also educational about planting coffee beans. The tour also includes how processing off coffee, tasting different types of coffee and tea, a shop of different materials (coffee, spices, oil etc.), yet very overpriced. Later, I made a comparison of their prices with similar products inside Bali and it was almost doubled.

The different types of tea and coffee given for tasting were awesome. You could pick your most favorite flavour or buy whichever one you like most. One could see every step of that special and most expensive coffee made from Civet cat poop there. Altogether, a beautiful place with good scenic views and offering a great experience.

They took us to Bas de ATAYANA to enjoy the best coffee in the world❤, very romantic and pleasant place. They served here various types of coffee and especially the famous one "Kopi Luwak" coffee it's mainly produced with the local in this Indonesian island I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff here, they are very quick in the service and not insistent.

Bas is a local coffee plantation farm which has two main coffee tasting restaurants inside it. IloveBas is the name of the coffee plantation cafe you can say. Anyone can visit this place by two wheeler or if you have hired local guide he can bring you to this place. BAS de atayana is basically a coffee plantation farm. The local guide girls will first lead us to their farm which is at start where you can see coffee pods tree, pineapple farm, vanilla tree, and all other similar which is grown there. Also they will show you the luwak cat from where the famous Bali coffee is made. Next stop will be the coffee making house, where a lady is roasting coffee beans on small fire piece and after that will crush it and this is how coffee powder is made and is put on display for people to buy. It also serves 36 different varieties of coffee which they give you to taste for free only if you order anyone of them. They also serve icecream and shakes which are heaven like. The place is very photogenic it also has a huge swing where you can swing along the breeze. It's cheap 35k IDR. Coffee starts from 25k IDR and icecream too for the same price. Go for luwak coffee as it's the most famous Bali coffee. It has big tiger shaped rock where you can click pictures. It's foggy and quite cold. Overall a nice place to visit.

Absolutely loved my experience here. The lady that showed us around was knowledgeable, friendly and showed zero pressure to sell us anything (although we did end up buying many of their delicious teas and coffees). The atmosphere was also really beautiful. Would recommend!

A chilled place with nice views over a woody valley. Upon entry you are greeted and shown around a garden with labelled spice plants, and shown traditional coffee roasting. You can then go to the cafe with pleasant views and try a free tasting tray with different coffees and teas before ordering a drink - there are some unusual ones to try. You'll be taken to a shop where you can buy coffees, teas and massage oils at tourist prices. Nice place for a stop but make sure you bring some anti-mosquito cream!

More like a place designed specially for tourists, don’t think the good coffee come from here. But you can understand how the Kopi Luwak was made from here.

This is a coffee plantation. You can see different type of coffee trees and seeds. You can see the famous cat here which makes the luwak coffee. They provide all types of coffee for free for tasking and bali sticky rice. Only for luwak coffee, if you need it, want to buy. Starting price for luwak coffee was 75k idr. We bought and had a try.

Really cool to see the different plants and coffee types grown here. Free to enter. There is a café where you can buy very reasonably priced cups of coffee, including Luwak (which is tasty)! You can also sample others, all of which are sold in the shop next door. Only four stars because the cafe area isn’t the cleanest and was full of flies, and the shop is not the most aesthetically pleasing place of all time.

Fantastic experience. Our guide told us about plantation and showed us all the plants they have. We taste tested all the coffees they have in small shop. The prices for coffee in a gift shop can be considered high but in this place they hand pick luwak coffee from wild and take care of injured animals so I'll pay for that.

Selling Powder instead of what you try. What a scam! No wonder the tour and tasting is free and they don't even want a donation for the guide. They sell highly expensive instant coffee / tea.

Overall it was ok, liked the mangosteen tea and Rosella tea, otherwise the coffee is not particularly to my taste, too sweet for my liking. The stroll before the coffee tasting was nice with decent (although not spectacular) view.

We went here as part of a day tour and it was a highlight for us. Not only was the coffee and tea delicious, the guide Ekka (not sure if that’s spelt right) was great and really funny and informative, giving us information about the plants and processes. Would definitely recommend going here!

This feels like a genuine plantation in the middle of a jungle. It’s a family business, all the way from the farmers to the guides who show you around. They explain how they make all the different types of coffee & tea, and are happy to answer all your questions to leave you with a great experience. Guide + coffee tasting board are free. You pay only for the Luwak coffee (50k IDR per cup). They have a shop that you can then buy items from. Highly recommended.

Complete SCAM. We were sold the very expensive coffee as being hand ground and roasted. Once I opened the packet, is was repackaged powdered coffee and sugar. They have an old woman stirring coffee beans over a flame, indicating that's how they roast the beans by hand. Basically, what you will get is completely different from what they let you taste. Rp.250,000 for 3 packets of instant coffe. total fraud!

Nowadays every tour agency stops at these fake "coffee plantation" shops. Because the tour guide gets commission on sales. However, not having transparent ingredients listed on their teas, coffee mixes, etc, is a red flag. Nowhere in the developed world will they get away with selling packaged products, at twice the price of supermarket, yet with no ingredient labels. Yet, you still buy, because its a rushed decision with the free testers upfront to make you feel "indebted". Insist on only buying stuff with full written ingredient disclosure on the product. Otherwise you encourage this 3rd world type of business practice where you're not allowed to know whats in your food. A recipe for disease & allergies: Chemical powdered creamers, weird undisclosed sweeteners which could even be "aspartame" or other nasty chemicals as it says "sugar-free", preservatives, etc. All hidden from you as consumer. Most people probably end up throwing away whatever they buy here. I threw away the tea I bought here, and got an organic natural alternative at Sayuri in Ubud (with full ingredient disclosure - 1 ingredient - on packaging. At less than half the price.) I add below the real grocery store cost of e.g. Avocado coffee. Its 10K Idr. Thus, don't be tempted to pay 120k Idr for this trash. (Don't even ask about the chemical ingredients in this "avocado coffee" below. Its really bad for you.)

Haven't seen any actual coffee plantation here. The guide leads you through some bushes to the huts where you can taste a dozen of drinks of which only two or three are based on coffee, but all of them are very tasteful. On the way back you are guided to the small store offering you to buy everything you might just have tasted. Got the clue?

Excellent place to visit. On arrival was shown around the plantation where the guide showed us everything which the family business grow. After we sat down for some coffee tasting, once we finished tasting all the coffee we were taken to the shop where we could purchase many of the products produced. Never tasted Luwak coffee before and had the opportunity to taste here. I had to buy this in the end as it was that good.

This is a pleasant place to stop while touring the Ubud area. You can taste several different coffee and tea flavors for free, or pay a small fee you can taste the Luwak coffee. This plantation says they rely on wild civets only to produce their Luwak Coffee, which is good since other plantations use caged civets. But for now on and until there is an official "cage-free" certification, I'll skip the Luwak. Plus, we did try it and I think the only reason it tasted better was they method of brewing the coffee. The other coffee flavors were interesting and I never would have tasted most of them if we hadn't stopped here. One reviewer said the coffee for sale was a scam because the coffee they sell was powdered, but that is how the Balinese make most of their coffee. During an entire month in Bali, we only saw a typical western grind of coffee bean in one store.

Came here with my partner as a coffee tour and was pretty good, I’m a coffee person and they were all really good samples especially a with a view over the valley. As for the other reviews saying it was a scam, the tour guide at this place literally told us when they refine it they add creamer to the mix so just hot water is needed, not only that, we bought 3 packs of coffee that are only $12.50 each, not that big of a deal when it’s all made in house locally. Would definitely come here again.

A really beautiful place right on the edge of the lake. Tents on stilts with bamboo roofs. Everything very clean, meadow kept like on a golf course. Very quiet, campfires in the evenings. Guided tours offered. Friendly, helpful staff. Be warned that there can be l lot of flies there, especially in the wet season. There is a sign for the place at the main road, yet it is not so easy to find at the end of some dirt roads.

The best view points by the lake. You can easily get food and groceries from the close by village too. The camp is beautiful and well managed. The staff were nice and supportive. The unpaved path in the last half mile to get to the camp was a bit challenging even with a motorbike. The flies and mosquitos are part of the wild natural by the lake. If you hate them, you should choose a hotel instead of a camp.

Overall the location is picturesque and excellent value for money. The huts comfortable and cool in the evening as well as having lights etc. The food is good and the staff are friendly. The let down was, the owner had 2 family parties back to back. The first as pretty tame, finished up before dinner, just felt awkward sitting in the communal area with all the family gathered around, it wad a private event and it was clear guests were intruding. The second night a much larger and louder crowd of family came for an anniversary, there was no room to sit in the communal area and it was pretty loud, we spoke to the owner and he assured us it would end at 8pm. Which would have been no problem for us, a majority of people stay there to do the Mount Batur sunrise trek which you have to wake up at 245am for. The party continued, with people drinking, loud music and loud talking etc. We had to wake up early so at 11pm I went and asked the owner (who had actually gone to bed!) Of he could ask his family to keep it down so we could sleep. He came down to the camp and there was a huge fight between him and his family. It was very awkward and we almost left. One of his family members even spat at me as he left. I don't have a problem with him holding parties, maybe just close the camp or let guests know before they stay?? The owner did give us a $25 discount, without us asking. He is a genuinely nice guy, just an awkward night.

One of the best villas in Kintamani. I stayed for a night there and I will definitely come back again. The villa is so quiet with “hidden” entrance. But the facilities are good. The owner greeted me very well. The diner and breakfast menu is limited but that’s okay considering the owner will cook the food for you. I ordered Ayam Goreng (and apprently they only have Nasi Goreng/ Ayam Goreng/ and Ayam Bakar) and it was okay. The best part about the villa is ofc the breathtaking view. If you’re looking for Kintamani getaway, this villa is worth trying.

The definition of don't judge a book by its cover. In this case, the cover would be its entrance road. We were welcomed by a narrow bumpy road before we park our car in a parking lot around 20 meters to the camp. You'll need to walk around 2 minutes. I was a bit skeptical at first. But once I entered the camp area, I was in love at the first sight! It's beautifully mown golf grass field with a breathtaking background of the lake and mountain. The owner seems to try to keep the camp not overly popular so that the guests would feel at home when they stay here - which we did. Tent was a bit smaller than the regular glamping camp we used to stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff and owner were really friendly! Would really love to come back!

The place is beautiful, facing the lake and mountain. + view + grass + firebond + water lilies on the lake with fish pond + outside open shower + great value for price - the admin is not friendly and fast response - not suitable for family coming with stroller - no sign to give direction on the broken road - staff is slow in most inquiries

Fantastic value for money. Once you get over the fact that you can't access it with a car, you'll have the best time here. Everything is so well thought out, the owner and staffs are very friendly, the shared bathrooms are clean and the view is amazing. Since the access is a bit hard and the view is beautiful, I guarantee you wouldn't want to head out to buy drinks/snacks so make sure you brought enough when you check in.

this is the best place to camp if you want to stay right on the side of Batur lake. they don't use tent which will be very hot on the day. they use wood & bamboo hut, which is our number 1 priority when trying to find a camp site. their lawn is nicely treated, I do some picnic there. there are regular bathroom and natural bathroom, I love the later because you can see mountain while washing your hair and they have warm water. the hut is cozy, have electricity port and 2 lamps. the entrance is quite tricky, it's very small but reachable with motorbike and cars. they only provide breakfast, and the area is quite remote, so bear in mind you have your own food or don't let yourself hungry in the evening because most places in Kintamani is closed by 5pm. and don't forget to hike to see sunrise in Mount Batur.
