My husband and I came here on a Saturday to enjoy or reservation for bites and bubbles. It was a sparkling wine and Moroccan food experience. The drive up to the property is amazing and the building is beautiful agai st the backdrop of the mountains. Then the grounds itself are amazing and provide a great place to sit and enjoy the weather. The inside was no less awe inspiring. Beautiful and elegant was the best way to describe the decor. Our server Tom provided some background on the place and then walked is through the tasting. He was funny and engaging, definitely enjoyed him throughout our stay. The wine was very good. I enjoyed how we got to try everything from extra dry to slightly sweet. The food was also delicious. For the price I wish we got a little bit more food, but the pours were generous. I'd recommend a stop in!

Although the grounds of this venue are stunning and the views are breathtaking, the wine flights in my wife and my opinion were only okay. Pros: -This place is beautiful. Think french country side and you have a good picture of what to expect. Beautiful sparkling chandeliers, grand fireplaces, uniquely painted walls, shining marble, and sweeping courtyards. -There is ample places to sit inside and outside on a good day -This venue is staffed well, and you aren't left waiting long Cons: -This place is very busy. If its not a nice day, and everyone has to sit inside, then the noise volume in the house is very loud, and its hard to have conversations easily. -If you are a red wine drinker, this place doesn't not have a great selection. They are more known for their bubbly wines.

We had a great experience. It looks like a castle and has beautiful views of the surrounding area. Reservations are a must. Outdoor sitting was the best even when the weather was windy. The sparkling wines are the specialty and all tastes great. Customer service was good as well.

Good and nice environment. Beautiful winery yard. The tasting rooms have very good decorations. You can buy all kinds of wine related goods and souvenirs. Multiple wine and sparkling wine tasting options. Food pairing ranged from cheese to smoked salmon. I am fully satisfied with these options. Service was good from the server we have. But the persons who were standing there for refilling water were not as good as the server. Every time we had to call and ask him to refill our water or crackers. As the tip is 18% or up, we expected the service should be better.

The entrace is out of this world. Super photogenic. The wine tasting starts at $40 pp, which is really reasonable in my opinion. We ordered a smoked salmon and vegetarian cheese. Both were delicious. Definitely will recommend this place to my friends

Ok I am not a Big Champagne person. So you have to understand that to begin with. However I thought the grounds were wonderful and the tour was definitely memorable. the staff was careful to explain to us the process and we were never left wanting for an empty glass. This was a good use of the time and for those y who love champagne I think it would be a miss to skip this.

Although the architecture and grounds are beautiful, I was left underwhelmed by the wine flight. While at the property, I selected the “Grand Flight.” Honestly, I only sipped on two of the wines. The other two did not sit well on my palate and I left them behind on the table. I sampled wines from three other wineries, and much preferred them to DC. If you are expecting a reimbursement for your wine tasting if you purchase a bottle, don’t look here. Also, I was disappointed we were only permitted in one room while on property.

I’m not a huge fan of sparkling wine, especially when it comes to sweet wines. But when you’re surrounded by the beauty of this French-styled winery - it elevates your experience. Owned by the tattinger family from France

This was my first time visiting Napa and this winery definitely took the cake for my favorite winery all day. The sparkling options for flights were delicious. We really enjoyed our server he even gave us a poor of one of their best sellers off of the flight menu. We tried to make reservations however they were fully booked but when we walked up to the counter they still allowed us to be seated immediately. Beautiful views. I will be back.

Had a great experience with our wine tasting. We had the grande tasting, sparking sampler, cheese and charcuterie plate, and sturgeon dip. I would recommend all of the above and our server Alex was also great. Views were gorgeous and the weather was perfect. Would definitely come back again.

We arrived for our appointment and we’re asked to waited for a few minutes. No worries. The front desk host said you can walk around the estate for the while and we will text you once the table is ready. We were given a table right at the entrance, which we weren’t pleased about as being a Sunday, it was quite crowded and so asked we can get any other table which we saw were available and our host mentioned you may need to wait a while, which we agreed upon and she later went on to say what are you expecting and I did point out to her a few other tables and she blatantly lied we have someone waiting. There were almost about 5-7 2-seatings that were available and she would not give us that. Saw her seating a couple (later than us) on one of the table which they didn’t want and later they were moved to the table of their choice. Definitely felt discriminated. I did notice they are very picky and choosy on whom and where they are seating guests. We did our wine tasting and our table host was really polite and good and was very informative, but the front desk host is utterly rude. Do not take disrespect from them. If you are not getting what you want, I would recommend walk off because there are tons of much better wineries with very good experiences. Their wines are average as well. Would not recommend them for wine tasting.

What a special place! A couple of days ago, I was proposed to at this beautiful establishment. While that experience in and of itself was an amazing one, the wine tasting experience was also 5-stars! The pairings were very well thought of. My taste buds were happy from the first sip to the last bite!

We stopped by to take a look without reservations because it's so pretty that not to stop by. We are glad to see how it looks and maybe return for a wine-tasting experience. They have in, out, patio, and private areas for members & non-members. I checked out their website, and their wine tasting ranges from $40 to up to $175/person. Definitely worth the visit, and if you're thinking of booking, it's pretty chill, but also busy here, and relax for the experience!

I've been here several tims. I have family who lives in the area. We always visit because the wines are good, the chateau is very picturesque. But the reason why I was compelled to write a review with 5 stars this time around was the excellent customer service particularly of their staff, Helen. Today I took a friend to see the place for the first time. It was a rainy day and a last minute decision for us. The sign at the parking lot said the tastings were for reservations only. We tried to check if they would be able to accommodate 2 walk-ins. Unfortunately, they were full. And that was fine. But to our amazement, Helen - the front desk staff- offered to let us try a glass of our preferred wine for free. That was a very kind, and unexpected gesture. It was a simple offer but it made our day. She made us loyal to this brand. I'm going to order 6 bottles to be shipped to NY and I'm considering being a club member... just because of that kind gesture from Helen!!!

Beautiful scenery, great selection of both, still, and sparkling wines. Friendly waiters. Elegant and cozy place without the outrageous prices of other wineries. The front desk staff could use a little dose of friendlines and a smile, but overall, excellent experience. Very well recommended.

We were about two hours late to our reservation, because our flights were delayed, but they were so nice that they got us in! Very very nice people and the customer service the whole time was great! The selection is amazing! Tons of sparkling wine ! I wish we could do all of the tastings! Everything we tasted was great! I read online somewhere that they give a bigger military discount than they did, but I guess that website was wrong. They still gave us a discount, but it wasn’t as much as the blog I read. As soon as you walk up, you feel like you are about to walk into a palace or a mansion. Definitely get some pictures! Even when you are inside or outside on the patio, the view is spectacular! Definitely one of the wineries that you do not want to miss!

The wine was great as well as the service! Did the Pinot noir tasting and loved it. Well worth the visit! Staff was super friendly. They were under construction so a tad confusing as to where to go but other than that great! Would love to visit again!

Wow! This was what I thought when I first visited Domains Carneros many years ago. I keep going again every time when I come to Napa now. I love the magnificent building and the beautiful views when I'm on the top of the stairs. The wine tasting at Domaine Carneros is one of the best in the Napa area. This is the place you don't want to miss when you're visiting Napa.

The food was amazing for the tasting and the bubbles were delicious. Overall the service was great. It’s more on the pricier side for what you are getting. But none the less, everything was worth it

We visited on a Tuesday afternoon with our baby. No reservation. We sat outside on the terrace with our stroller though there was also space indoors for us as well. There is a handicap accessible entrance/elevator. We were happy to find a family-friendly tasting room. The views were out of this world. I recommend visiting just before sunset as you’ll see in the photos — it was gorgeous. The wine was enjoyable, but you’re really here for the view. $60 tasting fee waived with the purchase of 4 bottles.

Trust me, if you're looking for a fun, beautiful, and delightfully different winery experience in Napa, Artesa is the place to be! Raise a glass of their Spanish-style Tempranillo or the superb Pinot Noir and savor the moment - you won't regret it.

Cool spot that almost looked like an airport lounge with a fantastic view, in between the hills separated but a infinity pool. On a beautiful today, I'm sure the reelection of the sky in the water would be really pretty. Wide selection to try starting with sparkling down to reds. We needed to rush the end because they didn't have enough staff and we needed to go. The server had to run around to cover the whole table, honestly felt so bad for him. Then we ended up having to chug the last red . This was the most comfortable seating out of all of them with really pretty architecture and decor. If you wanted to buy some art, they have a little gallery as well Just don't expect to learn a lot about the wines

My boyfriend and I did the tapas and wine and it was so much fun! All of the wines we tasted were amazing and you could tell they were great quality. I was pretty tipsy by the end haha. I would for sure come back next time I’m in town, this was my favorite winery we went to. The staff was very nice and the tour was interesting and cool to see the behind the scenes of it all.

Stunning view and so beautiful vineyard! The only issue I experienced is that they were short staffed the day I went and instead of doing wine tasting they asked me to do wine by the glass because there are no enough staff. But overall experience was great.

Artesa is a splendid architectural experience that’ll be great for anyone into stylistic buildings. The views are amazing as well. I’m pretty far from an experienced wine connoisseur, but their spanish carbenet stood out to me in the tasting session. Charcuterie board was average at best, and they don’t have any meal options so I’ll strongly advice planning a meal before / after a tasting session

Stunning property. For the price though, they serve SIPS. I think they were busy with a party that was happening later that evening. But we paid about $250 and for that amount (we did get bread and ham which was delicious) the wine pouring was not enough. This was our 4th winery of the trip and view wise again / truly spectacular but for the price I would think a little more wine in each tasting should have been a given… the biggest difference is that they don’t bring out the bottle and pour the wine at your table… felt like a very small amount of wine.

Beautiful, tucked away winery with views outside and great wine! I'm not a Merlot gal, but the Merlot was my favorite!! Sylvia was so knowledgeable and hospitable during the tasting. And the hostess at the front door was so friendly and welcoming! I'll definitely be back.

I took 10 of my customers to this winery and had a wine tasting appointment. My tour guide introduced me to the individual that was going to take care of us and explained that I was the one paying for this and everything must go through me. He shows up to the table and tries to get my group to upgrade on the wine tasting. I argued with him 5 times telling him what I wanted and he just wanted us to upgrade. Finally got him to agree to what I wanted. He came and pored the wine and we had to ask 2 times what it was he was pouring. He came back one time and tried to get us to buy food and told him no for the 6th time. I had to find him and ask if he was going to serve the next wine, as we have waited 30 min sense the first wine was poured. He finally shows up and I told him I wanted to tab out and was not happy. He tried to pour the wine. Finally get bill for 1 wine tasting for 9 people and he tried to overcharge me. Argued and finally got the correct price even though they should have discounted it. Do not waste your time or money at this place. Totally ruined the whole purpose of doing wine tasting.

What a beautiful experience. This winery is so pretty on the inside and out. The wine was very enjoyable and the chardonnay was so delightful we bought a bottle. The atmosphere was bright, crisp, and clean.

Absolutely gorgeous! We visited this place in Napa for the first time. One of the most scenic spots around it is a place you must visit. The wines are tasty and help to complete the experience. We also got a cheese plate. The vibe, view, and wine were a worthwhile experience.

The wines here are terrible, even our friend that does not care what wines she drink thought it was rough to drink. None of us could even finish any of our tastings. Our last wine reservation for our 3 day trip and should have listened to the reviews that this place is a tourist place. Unfriendly front staff and service took forever. The one star is for the beautiful winery as the photos show but it is a definitely a tourist trap.

Excellent views and beautifully crafted wines. Service was a bit chaotic and they ran out of cheese plates, so we couldn’t order anything. However our server found some crackers for us. Bought a couple of bottles — really enjoyed the Cab Franc.

I had called and asked about reservations for our special trip to the West coast in 4 weeks. I was told there were openings and I mentioned that this was the winery I was looking forward to most. I reserved and paid the deposit that evening. I called two days later to clear up a discrepancy on my reservation and was told that they were canceling it. Apparently, there were only a few people who had reserved for that afternoon thus far and another party reserved the entire venue for the afternoon. The woman was not very apologetic, other than offering that I come earlier in the day but I already have other plans. To be made to feel that my visit was unimportant is bad business practice and would not recommend this place to anyone.

For a first class wine experience in the Mt Veeder hills of Napa, Hess is the place. A Very classy presentation with optional incredible food pairings. They also have most wine varietals, including an Albariño.

We did the ATV Vineyard Tour + Wine & Food Pairing. A bit pricey but we had a really good experience! Steve was a great tour guide. He drove us around and educated us on the grapes and the growing process. He answered a lot of our questions and then took us inside where we had some incredible food that was pair with some equally incredible wines. We did four wineries during our stay in Napa and this one was our favorite!

My experience at Hess Persson Winery was nothing short of exceptional. Our tour guide, Michael, was an absolute gem. His passion for his job was palpable, and his explanations of the winemaking process and the identification of the various trees on the vineyard were enlightening. The wine itself was the highlight of our Napa weekend; in fact, it was the best we tasted throughout our numerous winery visits. The Hess experience truly stands out from the rest. The food pairings were thoughtfully curated and absolutely delicious, enhancing the tasting experience even further. I was so impressed that I immediately ordered wine to be shipped home, and I can't wait to join their wine club soon. Hess Persson Winery has set the bar high for wine tasting experiences in Napa Valley.

We tried to schedule a wine tasting online but they were all booked. I added us to the waitlist and hoped for the best. To my surprise, we got a phone call. They said they had an opening and it just happened to be at a time that worked for us. This winery is a little off the beaten path. There was plenty of parking and we were able to park right out front. We walked up to a hostess and she introduced us to our host who was standing beside her. It’s all appointment only, so I don’t recommend just showing up. We were surprised that all the tours are private right now because of Covid-19. We started with a quick walk around the facility. If you are into art, there is an amazing art museum you can walk around after your tasting. Our tasting was outside and included a cheese pairing. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience. I recommend signing up for a tasting.

Our #1 favorite tasting experience we’ve been to. Tucked away on Mount Veeder, you take a serene drive up to the estate. The grounds were gorgeous, the wine remarkable, and the gallery tasteful. Highly recommend.

Visited in January for my birthday and they went above and beyond to make me feel extra special. Currently their tours are all private experiences for just your group. We were greeted with a Pinot Noir Rose before taking a tour of the cellar and barrel room where we got several pours of the Lion Tamer Cabernet Sauvignon. For the rest of our tasting, we were led upstairs to their art gallery. Unfortunately we ran out of time to look through most of the art but a more robust collection than what I was expecting. Our tasting consisted of the Lioness Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Celebration Cuvee. We also got to try their Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon at the end. Our favorites were actually the Pinot rose and lion tamer cab at the beginning of the tour as well as the Malbec. Highly recommend a visit!

Hess was by far one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Napa! Absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately, the weather was too rainy for us to do the ATV tour, however, the tour and tasting was still amazing! We had Cindy as our guide and she was the best- so kind, knowledgeable and fun! I highly recommend Hess if you’re looking for the perfect combination of an experience (and beautiful art) in addition to delicious wine! The tasting is held inside of the art museum & is such a cool touch! We will definitely be returning next time we’re in Napa!

Hands down the most beautiful winery we visited. From the personalized wine and cheese experience, to the eclectic art, to the fantastic scenery, it surpassed a five star rating. Our host Cindy was knowledgeable, personable, and a joy to spend time with. There is no doubt we will visit here again next time we are in the area.

Well as most people would come here for their awesome wine, we came for their great art! The concept of combining wine tasting and art galleries is just brilliant. They have so many important art pieces and the space itself it’s breathtaking. It’s better to have reservations.

We ended our long weekend in Napa with a ATV tour of the estate, exquisite wine + food pairing, and visiting the art collection. Stunning location. Our guide Alex was knowledgeable and attentive. This is a don’t miss visit!

Our time at Hess Persson Winery was a perfect blend of excitement and refinement. The staff especially our tour guide Edgar was so welcoming, kind, and accommodating especially when I learned I booked the tour for the wrong date. The ATV tour offered breathtaking vineyard views, setting the stage for a delightful grape tasting. The winery's charming setting added an extra layer of enjoyment. A sophisticated touch awaited us at the end—a cheese tasting in an art gallery. The flavors paired seamlessly with the wines, creating a memorable finale.

Hess was by far one of my favorites during our week in Napa. Great grounds, great staff, clean crisp wines. The wines were just great. Our guide Michael led us through the tasting and the tour of the grounds. The art is phenomenal and showcases the Hess Persson name and estate. The long family history and traditions are still carried forward into their wine making today. Well worth a visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit today, hosted by Michael. The private tour format was generous and we really enjoyed spending time looking at the extensive art collection followed by a tasting. Sitting amongst the impressive art while sampling wine has been a highlight of our trip to Napa. Beautiful setting and great hospitality.

We opted for the ATV experience with Steve and were lucky to have a perfect day of weather. Steve showed us the property and had so much knowledge of the business and culture surrounding wine. Our tasting afterwards in the gallery was perfect and Steve made for great company. 10/10 would recommend for the views, art, wine, and Steve!

Great laid back experience. Don't expect the a fancy setting like others, but a great outdoor chat enjoying amazing wine from this boutique winery. Jake, the manager, was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, kind and amazing to chat with! 100% recommend it!

As many have said this place and their wines do not disappoint. We spent our time on the area divided between the highly marketed, “well known” vineyards and others we have never tried but read or heard good things. When we arrived we were greeted by a great team and the Max took over. His knowledge, sense of humor and perfect balance between storytelling and leaving us alone was amazing. We spent just over 2 hours there, not rushed and enjoyed every minute. The farm is so cool, the “pets” are hysterical. You won’t be disappointed.

Visited O’Brien Winery last month and it was outstanding. Our favorite of all the wineries we visited. You definitely don’t feel like a number here. Our host was Ryan and we learned so much from him. Highly recommend. We will definitely be returning.

Great family-owned winery on a beautiful property. Max was an awesome host. Bart, the owner, happened to be walking around, and stopped over to greet our group of 8 from Miami, FL. We became members. Looking forward to our return visit!

Max was very personable in sharing his knowledge about the winery and the family with us. He seemed to love the winery and the history behind it. We began with a walk through the vineyard while enjoying a glass of wine. We were made to feel as friends visiting friends. The tasting took place in a relaxed setting in the vineyard. The whole experience was awesome and I highly recommend it!!

We visited O’Briens on a bike tour of wineries in Napa. It wasn’t a winery that I had read about in any guidebooks or websites, and we went because it was convenient for the bike route. I’m so pleased we did, and it was the best experience we had at a winery. The surroundings were beautiful, the wine was excellent, and the staff were great. I can’t compliment Ben, who showed us around, enough. As well as being knowledgeable, he was friendly, and made the experience feel very personalised. He also didn’t judge us about the fact we knew nothing about wine. Thanks to the whole team, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Ok I have nothing but glowing things to say about this vineyard. 1) the property is gorgeous. Situated around the vineyards and with mountain views it’s such a relaxing environment. 2) the relaxing atmosphere. My friend and I did a wine tasting that was held outside with comfy chairs, blankets, heating lamp, and soft music. You got to take in the scenery while relaxing and sipping on wine. 3) everyone was so friendly and so helpful. Attentive. Knowledgeable. Personable. Funny. Such a welcoming environment. 4) all the wine were super delicious. Interesting mix of red wines. Highly recommend everyone to try the Seduction red! 5/5 stars, highly recommend to visit on your trip to Napa

Must visit Winery! Family owned! Amazing staff..the Winery made the visit so personable ...the small details presented to us (won't share the details - you will see for yourself) truly made us feel like a guest in there home... We had the pleasure of having James as our Wine Educator..his enthusiasm and love of the Winery and his HIGH REGARDS to the Owner Bart and Barb made it soo enjoyable to hear someone talk about a passion of theirs. We literally decided NOT to go to any other Winery after this experience! Will definitely pass on this Gem!

I cannot say enough nice things about this winery. First of all, this was hands down the best and most personal tasting we did in all of Napa Valley. They try different wines with you one on one, but never in a pressuring way. It truly feels like you are family, and they have bent over backwards to accommodate us. We joined their wine club because it was the first place we saw where you got to customize your alllocation and choose what you want every quarter. They have been so friendly everytime we have needed something. One of our logo’d glasses broke in transit back from our honeymoon, and I inquired about purchasing a replacement, and they sent a whole new pair with our bottles. Their stewards are so knowledgeable and you receive a warm newsletter every quarter with details on the company, which again makes it feel like family. Their customer service is quick to respond and so helpful. I would honestly give this place 1,000 stars if I could. It’s rare these days to see a company value their customers and their employees and this brand truly does that. Many Napa experiences are crowded and basically factory tours. A visit to this estate will be truly unique - you cannot miss it!

I honestly can't say enough about how amazing this place is. Just 10 minutes from downtown napa. The 43 acre vineyard is charming inside and out from the moment you pull up. Jason our sommelier was wonderful by being knowledgeable funny and interesting while walking us through all the wines. Sitting outside in the comfy chairs sipping delicious wine looking out over the vines is the perfect way to spend the day. Book way in advance cause this place fills up fast.

Worst bottle of wine I ever (didn't) have. I have never seen a cork so dry and brittle - it crumbled into little pieces when I tried to open the bottle. I don't think it sealed properly either, because the inside of the bottle had some sort of dark crud residue. (I would upload pics if I could.)

Just amazing. James was so personable and made this experience 💯. If you want the true Napa experience, this is it. You’ll feel like you’re in the heart of Italy. The owners take a very boutique approach, and you feel like you’ve been personally invited to someone’s estate. The pairings were amazing and the seduction wine especially was delicious. Thank you for making our getaway that much better! Make your reservations ahead of time, the cost will be worth it!

If you are looking for a personal and inviting vineyard experience while in Napa, then you must book a tasting at O'Brien! My partner and I visited during a heat wave and they were very accommodating to make sure we were comfortable but still had an unforgettable experience by moving the tasting inside. Marilyn was truly better than we could have asked for. After a few tastings that weekend, she was the most delightful of the mix and gave us the best recommendations and stories. Make sure to check out all the lovely animals the O'Brien's have on site!

Last day for Ryan but we super enjoyed his knowledge of grapes. Loved the samples we tried and got a couple bottles to go.

This winery accommodated my group after a mishap left us with no winery reservations in the area on our trip. They were kind, knowledgable and made the experience well worth our time despite us not being on the schedule. The setting is intimate, relaxing and was a great place to take some pictures of us drinking wine. Ryan and another girl who's name I did not catch assisted us and they both deserve a shout out!

Jamie from Priority Wine Pass recommended Judd’s Hill. This is a small winery that produces 3000 cases. It is a beautiful setting as you look out upon two different farmers vineyards. It is rather interesting as the vineyards are planted in exactly opposite directions. We tasted grapes directly from the vine in both vineyards. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable. The wines were good.

Great wineries! It was a blast to come over for their wine tasting! We were introduced about how the wines were made, the fire, and the contacts the winery made with the farmers. Such a great amount of knowledge! The wines here were extremely good. The Chardonnay and the white wines were pretty standard, with some of the mixing ones standing out as having a great ore&after taste. The ones I like the most were the 2011 mix, as it gave a little bit of bitterness initially, but it went away quickly to leave on the fruit flavors. The popular rose was fine, but a little sour and not outstanding for me. The estate was fantastic. It was definitely a very good made with little taste of alcohol, but yet you can tell the wine was deep and strong. The fruit ness of the grape mixed really well with everything else, giving you a great aroma as well as the richness of the grape - simply a condensed feeling. We had a fun blind tasting event suggested by the staff. We enjoyed it a lot and were offered with some sweet wines later on! Their sweet wine was on point, not as sweet as the ice wines I had in Canada so I bought two back. Fantastic experience in a great yard. Love it a lot!

Very good place to go if you want to try lots of different types from the area. They buy grapes from all areas and make very artistic small batch wine. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed Judd’s Hill and mainly because of Todd! Todd has a wealth of knowledge about wines, Napa, and everything else. We learned so much from him and enjoyed every bit of it. He had great recommendations too about wine and Napa in general. Todd simply made our wine tasting A++ at Judd’s Hill.

The fantastic wines were our second favorite thing about Judd's Hill. Our host CJ was first - a great educator, storyteller and comedienne.

Had a lovely time! It felt really mellow there and we had a view to look at while we sampled wine. I did the cab flight, which had some really great tasting wines. Rose was super friendly and got us a last minute appointment.

My husband and I had a tasting booked with CJ on Halloween. It was our first stop in Napa and I am so glad that was the case! She was such a sweet woman and taught us so much during our tasting, from why you hold the glass by the stem, to why you swirl the wine before you drink it, and what foods bring out which elements in the wine. We had a wonderful experience and found ourselves thinking back to CJ at other wineries when they’d hand us a glass by the bowl or try to sell a bottle that needs to sit for another 6 months ;) We left with a much better understanding of how to pair our food to our wines to bring out the elements we like best. I can’t recommend the tasting experience at Judd’s Hill enough!

Judd's Hill Winery is simply marvelous! We first read about the winery in an article titled “Top 10 Small Wineries in Napa Valley”. It certainly deserved to be listed, and was well worth the visit. Every wine was delicious and Ryan, our host, was absolutely outstanding. Add it to your Napa winery itinerary, you can’t do better.

We had such a great time at our tasting today! Todd was very friendly and gave us a personalized tasting. We learned a lot about the different varieties and some history of the valley. The wines were excellent. We will definitely be back.

Decent tour and the wines were good. Compared to some of the other wineries in the area, it was okay. If you're looking for a lot of sampling, this is your tour. They're not shy about offering a little more, but it felt too much like a sales tactic to get you to buy their expensive bottles. The cave was cool and was the highlight of the visit. You get to taste a lot out of the barrel, but I wish you could compare the barrel to the bottle for a better experience. Your tour also includes a pizza in the middle of the tasting, which throws off your palette. For the price of the tour, I'd look elsewhere first. Also, the tour guide did not wear a mask and the entire tour was indoors. As soon as you have a glass you're encouraged to remove your mask.

Our cave tour at Del Dotto was amazing. From the beautiful ambiance to the lovely wine to our very knowledgeable tour guide to the yummy snacks - we loved every minute. Such a great experience!

PJ was an amazing tour guide! We were able to taste the wine directly out of the barrels in the cave which made the experience extra unique. At the end of the tour they also gave us delicious sandwiches and pizza. Highly recommend and will definitely be back the next time we visit Napa!

I have never felt less welcomed by anyone involved with wine or hospitality or even anyone full stop. Although we didn't partake in any wine or tours unfortunately, however, after asking if there was availability to be looked up and down then visibly judge upon appearance and then treated in an manner at best curt and at worst rude I am glad. Our driver had recommended this vineyard as they had previously been many times and couldn't talk highly enough of it. As someone who was previously involved in wine tasting and buying but more on the European scene I was so looking forward to visiting a few vineyards to get a true feeling for the valley. I now wish I had stuck to the oroginalmplan and stayed in the first vineyard. Such a shame that no had told the person responsible for welcoming people that first impressions last a lifetime and are very hard to change.

Thank you Phillip for the knowledge, great food, and great wine! Learned a lot about the oak treatment process and how that affects wine taste (for otherwise identical wines), but in the future would love to see older wines on offer for tasting to experience the difference between younger and older wines side by side. Would also appreciate more history behind the mines - didn’t cover any of the hardships the Chinese immigrants had to go through in the late 1800’s that are core to the history of this winery

We’ve visited all the Del Dotto locations and they are all really nice. This one, however, is spectacular from the point of history and workmanship. Great wine and history to soak in!!!

I brought my Aunt here for a tour after Thanksgiving and we had the most amazing experience. I believe our guide was Carson (sorry if that is wrong). He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure every question or thought was important and addressed. The wine was amazing, even out of the barrel, which tells you that the bottle will be better. My Aunt was very impressed and excited to learn more about wine. Thank you!!!

My wife and I had a great experience at Del Dotto! While I am definitely not a wine connoisseur, this tasting experience made me feel like I was. The venue was beautiful, the “cave” was neat, and our guide Taylor was very knowledgeable. The pizza was pretty good too!

A beautiful winery. Some construction going on at this time. If you love Italian wines, you will love the wines here. There was no power in the caves today which was disappointing. No compensation was offered nor were we notified of this prior to the tour. I would have booked a cave tour another day if we had known. Our guide was great. Do recommend. Just wish they were up front regarding the power outage that did occur.

It was my first time tasting wine out of a French & American oak barrel in a cave and the experience was phenomenal. Thomas, our guide/sommelier, made it fun and he’s so charismatic. The fresh-in-house pizza that they served at the end of the tour was yummy. The whole staff and venue was outstanding. The tour and cost of the wine was worth it.

I live in Northern California, after seeing the Persian BBC program about this farm, I came to this farm 5 years ago and I have witnessed the beauty and splendor of the architecture of this building. It was the quality wines of that farm that made an impression, I was born in Shiraz and Shiraz or Siras wine is not just a wine with a magical taste for me, but it has the identity and authenticity of a product. I suggest everyone to go to this farm once and have a different experience.

The Darioush winery is a fantastic place to visit. The grounds and the architecture were a feast for our eyes. It was nice learning how Darioush brought his Iranian culture to his winery. We enjoyed strolling around the tasting room admiring the artwork chosen by his wife. We purchased the wine pairing with food and Darioush did not disappoint. We liked having our own private seating area with our own wine steward. After tasting the flight, we left with 3 bottles of wine and wonderful memories of the day!

A great winery to visit. It reminds you of Perisan ancient and empire. It offers you a great day tour for wine tasting. Make sure to book in advance for the tour.

I can't say I expected this style but this is the experience I expected from Napa wine tastings. The building and grounds are impressive and beautiful. I'm not really a wine drinker but the winos, j/k, I'm traveling with seemed to enjoy the wine here more than the other places we visited as well. Josh, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable. If I ever come back to this area I would gladly visit here again.

Really cool new age winery. Feels elegant. Very relaxing not overpowering presence when tasting wine. The sommelier comes pours the wine gives a little story behind it then leaves you alone to enjoy the glass and your company. Really liked that approach. I haven’t been to many wineries but this one was very welcoming and relaxing. Also has great little bites to eat.

I am a member here, love their Shiraz and duel the best. I recommend the experiences over just the regular tasting. Beautiful grounds.

Elegant, styled winery. Darioush made the wine tasting experience more elegant. They have an outdoor mezzanine tasting area (tables, lounge) and several indoor comfortable settings. Light appetizers complement the wine. There is a downstairs and outdoor dining area where a wedding reception was held. I am not sure about the other wineries, but visit Darioush for an elegant experience.

I fall in love with this winery . Besides the good reviews, what caught my attention was the beautiful architecture of this place . This beautiful place transports you to Europe. Everything is done in detail, the decoration of the main hall left me speechless. The staff is extremely professional and attentive. Something that I loved was the courtesy of bringing us a 5th wine to try, my favorite was undoubtedly the cavernet savignon, who is if I am not mistaken the house specialty.

A winery like no others! If you go to Napa make sure to visit this place. You don’t have to make reservations but on their website they have several different packages that you can choose from and reserve in advance which definitely enhance your experience. We got the fine wine, artisan cheese package which was wonderful.

This place is super cool! I love the whole theme here! But everyone’s pictures and videos from social media make it seem larger. it’s a lot smaller than what it looks like on social media. The tastings were great. Some of my favorite wines were here. The person serving us was very informative, but he just seemed very catty, which we did not appreciate. What made up for it was the scenery, and the actual taste of the wine and the pairings. The food yum! The tour was just OK. I would not do the tasting again, but I would go back for the wine, but definitely not the service…. when a beacon is lit it means the owner is there.

We visited on July 4, our first time to Darioush. Everything was lovely! Sitting in a shaded garden area outside, we sampled wines accompanied by elegant food pairings. Lots of thought clearly went into this experience. Our host, Gregory T., was informative and helpful as he guided us through our tasting. Our favorite wines were the Viognier and the Shiraz. Darioush will definitely be on our list to visit next time we are in Napa.

A beautifully built winery with a unique history. We had the meze wine tasting here and we’re impressed with their wines and the food. Highlights of the meal include a watermelon salad and lamb lollipops which were expertly prepared. My favourite wine of theirs was the dual which also comes in at a good price point.

Darioush was one of our favorite tastings we did while in Napa! Fareed was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of our questions, had an immense knowledge of the history of the winery and went out of his way to look up our restaurant for dinner and recommend what to eat. The wine was amazing and we can’t wait to open up our bottle we bought!

THE BEST WINE tasting in Napa. With the high end reservation you get 5 meals exquisitely prepared by their on site chef and best wine. The architecture and details inside is absolutely unique. This is not a run-of-mill tourist place.

Definitely the best winery we visited. We signed up for the Invitation Only tasting and pairing. Our host was very cordial and informative. We were even able to sample a reserve wine from the cask. The food pairing was perfect. We were seated in a private dining room lined with wine bottles. The ambience was intimate and convivial. As we went through one wine at a time a server brought out a variety of small plates ranging from caviar, raw fish, truffles and fatty meat. I generally do not drink white wines, especially chardonnay but the chardonnay we tried was heavenly. Exceptionally smooth, well balanced fruit, acidity, and oak. The red wines were also exceptional. The cabernet had intense fruit, balanced tannins and acidity with a long and complex finish. The wines are quite expensive but leaps and bounds above the other wines we tasted in Napa. Highly recommended if you are willing to spend $200/person and $200+/bottle.

Stags Leap is my favorite appellation and this winery was definitely a WOW. We were so impressed with the beautiful tasting room. Last time I was here they were in a small building near the road. We had a friendly welcome and were escorted to our private table. Jason was our wine expert and we loved hearing all the history and facts about the winery. We were very impressed with his knowledge 🍷. The Kay cab was our favorite. Wish I had the money to buy that really large bottle in the lobby. 😀

Wine tasting is available but there are no wines on display like most other vineyards. Tasting is done in a more comfortable setting but it’s not as casual. Worth a visit if you like their wine.

Fantastic tasting in a perfect setting. Price for the tasting was $75 which includes all their top wines. If you are a fan of their wines, worthwhile to join their wine club as it will waive the tasting cost along with 4 guests. Also there is a 20% discount to purchasing wines at the vineyard.

We had a great time at Stag's Leap, where we attended the celestial wine and food pairing. Despite being longtime members, we had never before taken the cave tour, which turned out to be a great experience guided by the knowledgeable and personable sommelier, Justin. While the food didn't quite satisfy our palates, the wines, particularly the Fay and Cask 23, were exceptional. Stag's Leap continues to impress us, and we eagerly look forward to future visits as dedicated members.

One of the best Winery tasting experiences I've ever had. And I've had quite a few. This is a must if you're in Napa Valley. The staff were absolutely excellent and are specific wine tasting guide Aaron was awesome!

We came for a wine tasting and loved it. We were a group of 7 but had to be seated as 4 and 3, which turned out completely fine. The room is intimate (and gorgeous) and we could still go over and talk to each other after the tastings were finished. Our host at the table of 4 was genuinely one of the best guides/hosts/waiters/whatever I've had maybe ever- he cared, he knew his stuff, and he made sure we had fun. The wine was delicious, if a little pricey. Definitely recommend.

Came here 6 years ago (from Belgium) with our kids, had a great time. Came back last week on some sort of pilgrimage and were extremely disappointed. The staff was really unfriendly and quite arrogant. The overall atmosphere was just stuck up and cold. Great wines but better to be enjoyed elsewhere.

Our visit last weekend left us extremely disappointed. Having enjoyed incredible experiences at six wineries prior, we had high expectations, but unfortunately, our time here was underwhelming. While the wine itself is undoubtedly fantastic, the tasting experience left much to be desired. Our host was dividing attention between our table and another, which created a somewhat awkward atmosphere and left us feeling undervalued as guests. We have never shared a host at other wineries, especially not at a "top-tier" winery. Moreover, the tasting pours were just over an ounce each, resulting in a total of only 16 ounces of wine for our party of four, yet costing over $400. This pricing felt disproportionate, especially considering we could have purchased all four bottles featured on the tasting menu and enjoyed them at our leisure on the terrace. For those seeking both exceptional wine and a memorable experience, I would recommend exploring alternatives such as Chappellet, B Cellars, or Nickel & Nickel. Not only do they offer fantastic wine, but they also provide an exceptional experience.

We visited in late April 2023 and the service was amazing and the wine was excellent. My wife and I enjoyed their Estate Collection Tasting Flight with Justin and everything was absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend this tasting experience if you’re traveling to Napa!

We had an amazing time with Terri! She was informative and her sense of humor made our day. My husband and I came from North Carolina and were able to experience an amazing tasting with great wine and a nice charcuterie board. We also met another person who was leading tours, Josiah (?). He was so funny and full of personality. Everyone at this winery made our experience so good and we highly recommend going here for an great and beautiful experience.

A very enjoyable wine tasting. We were able to try 5-6 wines. Great indoor experience looking right at the mountains. The way they created the indoor space makes you feel like you’re outside and an arms length from the vines. Mo was great!

This is a required stop when in Napa Valley. The reds are amazing. This was our second visit, and it did not disappoint. We did the celestial tour and tasting this time, and the food paired exquisitely with the wines. Their S.L.V. and Cask 23 are our favorite.

If you do only one winery tour while visiting Napa, this should be high on your list! Because all phases of the wine making occur in this cave, you learn about each of the processes while touring a really cool facility! And the wines were magnificent! A definite must do!

We visited Napa Valley for the first time and want to visit several wineries. We visited Jarvis the first day and 3 others the next day. We made reservations weeks in advance which is recommended. They were all different and all had their pros and cons. Jarvis was very unique with the winery underground. It was very classy and upscale. The wines were very good but also out of our price range. Our tour guide (forgot her name) was excellent! Very informative and very friendly. This was our favorite wine tour and the most unique. Highly recommend!

Jarvis is one of the best wineries / tours we have ever been on. We've been members here off/on - no doubt about it - it IS exclusive and expensive. But it is oh, so worth it. This is an experience that is worth the tasting fee. The estate is magnificent, the doors into the caves simply breathtaking and the caves themselves are just..... there are no words. OK - maybe.... Magnificent. We have never been disappointed here. I don't know what was going on with some of these negative reviews, but for us - every time has been beyond amazing. The tour, the caves, the wines, the cheese. If you are looking for an experience that you can talk about for years to come - this is it. Ask for Rob - he's great!

Nestled in a ridge in beautiful Napa, this winery actually extends over 1300 acres in different locations near the cave. I promise you, you will never experience such unique time with the guided tour. $100 will get you the experience of the guided tour full of details about the history of the owners and how they acquired such property back in the 80's. Their unconventional methods of producing wine is what makes them so unique and interesting. The tour consists of taking you inside the man made cave where they explain their wine producing methods, a showcase of their gathering room for private parties and of course the wine testing which is very private, and informative. You are placed in a room with cheese and crackers and six empty glasses at which time, the guide will start with the first wine, explaining the characteristics of it as she is serving it. For each subsequent wine the guide will do the same, placing attention and care to each wine. At the end of the tour you can purchase a bottle. These are high end bottles of wine I highly recommended it follow me and my adventures ig @sin_aguayo_canelito

Our absolute favorite Estate Winery in the Napa region. If your in the area and are a true wino this place is a must. They are reservation only and definitely on the pricey side, but its well worth it. Came here in March for a private tour and had a great time. The Wine cellar itself is located in a man-made cave located in one of the hills on the estate. The cellar is huge, cool, and something I've never seen before. Now as for the wine, there all delicious. Your tasting is paired with a yummy French imported goat cheese, crackers, and assorted nuts. The wine tour guide was fantastic and taught us not only about the property, its history, and wines; but also wine history and pairing it. Overall a must if your in Napa, cheers!

As a frequent wine drinker I don’t get amazed as frequent these days. But the Chardonnay and Cab Franc is truly world class. That is the only Cali chard I think is worth $175 and I am not even a white wine lover.

Wow, the cave tour was really great and having the opportunity to see the production areas, the waterfall and the ballroom was really special. The tasting was great, I felt like it was slightly rushed towards the end, but I guess it has to end at some point. Overall great tour, great cave and great wine. We took a few bottles home to enjoy in the future.

One of the most beautiful place I've a definitely hidden gem. Due to personal issue have not have the time to write a review. but Gods know there is nothing unperfect that place. The plan, the care, the mastermind among many other details in the whole process is incredible; nevertheless the cave or the estate. I even have the honor to meet he owner. Today my best friend was there because I did recommended he told me they delivery I just want to say thank you for everything and keep the good wine coming For those people that don't know their Tempranillo and Chardonnay aside from their signature Cabernet are so amazing

Hendry is by far the best tasting that we had while in Sonoma & Napa. Gregg who lead our tasting was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. At other tastings we felt like everything was scripted and inorganic, but we had such a personalized and intimate experience at Hendry. While tastings are not as much about quantity, I will say that we also got to try a lot more wine for the money, both in variety and quantity. They also waive the tasting fee with a purchase equal to the per person fee. Which essentially means you double your value. All that to say we were very impressed. Thank you Gregg for an amazing experience!

It was my first wine tasting experience and I must thank Skip from Hendry wines for making it super special for me and my husband. The overall experience was very personalised and not rushed, very detailed/informative. Skip walked us through the history of the Hendry family and their winery business in an engaging manner. We were also honoured to meet the master wine maker/owner Mr.George Hendry. With a lot of other wineries around the Napa area commercialising the wine tasting business, Hendry’s is among the very few wineries out there that make every penny worth spending. We are Hendry wine club members and traveled from MD to visit the winery on 4/10. The service was outstanding including details of all of the Hendry blocks and how the wines are made by the Hendry family. We enjoyed all of the wines, including the 2019 Cabernet Franc. The setting on the winery porch overlooking the estate vines was very beautiful and comfortable. A visit to Hendry in Napa is highly recommended!

I always recommend Hendry to anyone visiting Napa. The tasting experience is such a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, with nice views and a great glass of wine in hand, and the staff are really friendly and just want you to have a good experience. The tasting fee can be used toward bottles of wine if you want to take some home.

I cannot say enough about hendry. WOW This was the 6th winery we visited in Napa and by far, the best. Skip is the person you want serving. All the wines are delicious. I especially loved their 7 &22 Zin. They go super hard telling you about the winery and George who runs the place. Ultimately i was left with the most positive happy vibes. The wine was delicious and the company was excellent. I normally am the type of person to prefer to taste the wines and be left alone but this place totally changes my mind. EXCEPTIONAL

We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting experience at Hendry. We visited to celebrate a friend's birthday and do a pickup (friends are members at Hendry). The final vertical flight of 2014, 2018, 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon were wonderful.

First time visiting Napa and Hendry’s came recommended by friends so we paid a visit. Skip gave us the most informative and fun wine tasting experience I’ve ever had. Awesome place with awesome wine and history. If you’re looking for a quality and personal winery, this is your place!

In a region filled with large names (and larger prices), Hendry puts out some of the most amazing wines in the region for very reasonable prices! Had a lovely personal tasting experience with T. Trust me, if you’re deciding on where to go in the region, you will not be disappointed with this small, family estate winery!

My wife and I went here for a late afternoon tasting. We really enjoyed this place as it has a very old world Spanish feel to it. The gardens are stunning, and if you book ahead of time, and can do your tasting in the family home, it is well worth it. This venue have a 90 year old sequoia tree, beautiful flowering gardens, a well rounded veggie garden, beautiful fountains, and birds that are constantly chirping/singing. My wife and I did the cheese and wine tasting, but I know this venue also has a garden meal & tasting, which from looking around at our fellow wine goers, also looked very tasty. Great Experience, especially if you are an outdoor lover.

Great winery...not crowded and very personal tasting. They will go above and beyond to make your tasting special. Wine is great...you will have a hard time deciding what to buy...want to buy everything.

My family and I came here as part of my 21st birthday celebration. Hands down one of the BEST parts of our trip!!! Michael was the MOST incredible tour guide and really made our experience so special. It was intimate, catering to what we wanted to learn more about, and genuinely just so enjoyable and fun. Michael had thoughtful, impressive, and sometimes hilarious answers for every question we could think of and we were especially amazed by the section of our tour where he explained to us how the vines grow from cane to fruit and back around again. He was such a wealth of knowledge, and had apparent passion for what he does--we were learning about things we didn't even know there was to be learned! The entire tour was incredibly interesting, unique, and fun. We could have spent all day hanging out with Michael as he drove us through the vineyards, pulled out his tool kit to show us how the vines are grown (which we were particularly interested in!), gave us wine to taste in the mustard field, walked us through their facilities explaining how the wine is then made, and chatted with us further in the beautiful tasting room as we sipped on incredible tasting wines!! Trefethen's vineyards and overall property is beautiful and the people there were all wonderful. We have nothing but amazing things to say about Trefethen, Michael, and the wines we tasted. 100/10 experience and we would love to come back again some day!

Educators provide memberships a wonderful experience - I have tasted outdoors (during covid) and indoors (April 2022). Definitely prefer indoors since the tasting room is beautiful and comfortable. Members are not jailed to tasting a selection but rather can tell the educator what he/she would like to taste. Purchased way too many bottles this way!

On this, our first trip to Napa, there were wineries we expected to enjoy when we visited and wines we expected to love. But none were as much a happy surprise as Trefethen. My wife’s comment sums it up nicely: “Wow, I love EVERY one of these wines!” Not only were the wines wonderful, but the experience (@The Villa) was beautiful and extremely enjoyable, thanks in no small part to our host Gregg (Thanks Gregg!). We were celebrating our 30th anniversary with this trip and Trefethen treated us very well. Beautiful grounds, great wines, great pours (with some off-menu - Halo!), great service and a lovely paired charcuterie board. And to top it off, Trefethen has some of the most affordable pricing on their bottles - even better with member pricing. I’m sure we’ll always have some bottles on hand now. Make Trefethen a stop on your Napa visit!

Wonderful time biking to the vineyard and enjoying a fantastic tasting! The best place to stop on a long bike ride! Was so impressed by the variety of whites and always wowed by the excellent reds.

I am so excited to write this post because it was that amazing! We randomly came across this winery and are so glad we did. Obsessed is the one word I would use to sum up the experience. The atmosphere is so comfortable and welcoming, the vineyard is beautiful, the owners and staff are so friendly, but I must give a HUGE shout out to one of their hostesses. Since the first time we came to Trefethen Carrysa Bird made us feel very welcome and it was very apparent that she was very knowledgable of not only the vineyard, but of every single wine she introduced to us. She is very charismatic so you can't help but love her. Whenever we make a reservation for a wine tasting we always make sure to request her as our hostess. The Trefethen family is very lucky to have her. I can't say enough about how terrific Trefethen Family Vineyard is so you'll just have to try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Our Trefethen Vineyard Tour & Tasting with Michael was the highlight of our trip! Michael was so knowledgeable and welcomed all of our questions. Getting to hear about and see some of the process from seed to vine to grape to glass was exciting! Followed by a wonderful tasting it was the best morning!

Absolutely outstanding! We had a wine tasting with snacks and just wow. The person (dedicated guy but I am sorry I forgot the name - he is Welsh) was amazing! The wines were fantastic, the food was delicious and the history behind the vineyard is impressive. Was the best vineyard that we visited in Napa valley and now we are enjoying the wines that we brought back at home. Our favourites were Katie’s Acre and Cab Sav 2018.

Loved all the Halloween decor mixed in throughout! This was my favorite winery we visited because the property was simply stunning - they have cork trees too! We did the twilight tasting and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was deciduous and paired perfectly with our wines. Our guides were fabulous as well and really made the experience so much better! We will be back!

Just finished tasting at Trefethen Family Vineyards and had an amazing time! We did the "Reserve Tasting at The Villa" and are glad we did. The wine was great, the charcuterie was great and our guide Carrysa was great! We really enjoyed each of the wines and had to bring many of them home with us. We highly recommend Trefethen for not only the wine but also the experience.

My friend and I stopped in for our very first vineyard experience yesterday. Even though we got there just before they closed we were still greeted with a taste of a red and a white wine and some wonderful history. We were granted the opportunity to wander around and take a few photos of where they used to keep the barrels before the earthquake and their indoor tasting room. So beautiful! Thank you especially to the two ladies that helped us and and we're so welcoming!

As usual, the new architecture for wineries along the Silverado Trail did not disappoint. The service at Clos du Val was a hit and miss. Prior to getting to the winery we tried contacting to make a change to the reservation, good thing we emailed days in advance because it took a few days to get back us. The service was average once we were there for the tasting, and the customized tasting menus for each party were a nice personalization touch. The wines reminded us of t many other wines we’ve had in the past, but the 2016 Three Graces Cab hit the spot so we had to purchase. We were pleasantly surprised to know that our tastings would be comped if our wine purchases exceeded the price of our tastings, versus other spots where you need to purchase a certain number of bottles to waive each tasting. Only down side was that I had to remind them afterwards that I didn’t get the credit/refund. So overall, we’d return but only now that we know what we know and ensure the bills are all settled prior to leaving to the next stop.

Amazing service as soon as you are greeted with a glass of wine. Great location with great energy. Workers were so sweet and our host Ali was just great! So personable and welcoming. Answered all our questions, took our picture, and overall made it a great first stop in Napa! Wine was GREAT and learning about the property/wine made it even better. Loved the terrace overlooking the vines- just great!

Thank you Clos du Val for making my birthday celebration in Napa spectacular! Our family traveled from TX, CA and Maine for my birthday and it was Special in every way from the great wines, amazing goat cheese & hummus dip to the beautiful hills & vineyards in the background. Nikko was our wine sommelier and he was terrific loved the winery history of Clos du Val! Couldn’t have chosen a better winery for a special occasion with our family. P.S. Thank you Nikko for our family pictures they came out beautiful!!

We had an excellent tasting experience. The estate Cabernet Franc and the 21’ Sauvignon Blanc were excellent. The tasting room and attention we received were top notch. We ordered several bottles to take home with us and would return again.

Its a beautiful Winery with gorgeous vineyards. During our last visit we made advanced reservation for wine tasting. We got outdoor tasting. Our experience was amazing they really have very good selection of wine. I wished they had kitchen so that while tasting wine we could even eat something light kind of finger food. Friendly staff. Interior of the winery was beautifully decorated. Its not kids friendly, we took our kids with us but they were getting bored, I asked the server if they have any thing for kids to drink(non alcoholic) like grape juice, Which other wineries provide but they said the don’t have anything for kids, which I can understand other than that it was a pleasant experience. We bought some wine to home too.

We enjoyed our visit to Clos du Val for a couple glasses of wine. They have several sitting areas with different views of the property that give you a relaxing setting. We had several very good Cabernet wines. Not a big property like some of the other vineyards, but we liked our visit.

We enjoyed a fantastic tasting with Favian! It was a chilly but sunny February day, and Favian set us up with an outdoor heater and blankets while we enjoyed the wine & the view. Definitely recommend Clos du Val when in Napa!

Amazing wines, but an even better Sommelier. Victor guided us through the progression and was very personal with how we should approach wine tasting. This made it less intimidating, and opened my senses up to experiencing the subtleties. They weren’t cookie cutter description that I could read on the tasting notes. Saliva is key. Thank you Victor for changing the way I taste forever!

We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful setting and experience here. The interior is stunning and lovingly designed. But the best place of all is the patio, overlooking the valley. We enjoyed a 5-wine tasting, with knowledgeable and fascinating sommeliers guiding us through each wine. Absolutely worth a visit and a lazy afternoon.

Always a pleasure, and wines are excellent regardless of price point (which to be fair, may be slightly higher than average, but so worth it). Have come a few times for wine tastings, once as a guest for their phenomenal harvest dinner, and just recently for the seasonal Eat Drink RSV experience (5 wine tastings and 3 mini course food pairings) which was an awesome treat — perfect amount for a light lunch. Was so good, signed up for their wine club Gluttons & Gourmands so we can come back more often to take advantage of their wine and food tastings and events!

Delicious Pinots that were smooth and versatile. Of course we bought a case home. 🫢

We had a great tasting experience! The wines were great and the location was beautiful. We needed up ordering a bottle of wine to just hang out after the tasting. The tasting price was average for Napa but it came with a nice snack tray which definitely elevated the value compared to others we visited. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely return.

We had a good experience wine tasting at Robert Sinskey. The winery has a cool history. The location is great, and the winery is beautifully done. Like all Napa wineries, the tasting is a bit pricey, but it does come with 5 wines and a couple of small plates of palate-cleansing food. The wines were very good. Our host gave us a bonus taste of the estate Cab, and it was great. We ended up buying a bottle of that and drank it at a table in front of the tasting room, which was very nice.

Outside seating with gorgeous views. The weather was perfect! Delicious food and wine pairing. Tasted 7 different organic extraordinary red and white wines. I works go here again when they change their menu.

My wife and I went here for my wife’s birthday and had an amazing eat and drink experience. The wine and food was just unforgettable! We bought 3 bottles to take home and unfortunately our luggage got stolen in San Fran on our last day here. Word of advice to anyone flying out of San Fran, do not leave your valuables in your car at any parking lot or parking garage.

Did the root to table tasting. All the wines were excellent along with the accompanying food. Spanish style omelet was a highlight. The guy leading the tasting was very knowledgeable and personable. Note I'm pretty biased since I did this tasting with my mom who's a member so this was decently subsidized by her annual tasting discount, but still the experience was enough to convince me to get a membership. I think the quarterly membership is a great option for young 20 somethings who might be looking to explore more wine, the cooking element is definitely a perk.

Incredible experience for wine tasting. Family owned place. Personally, I am a sweet wine person, they didn't have a sweet wine flight experience but their flight was very good. They come to your table and explain everything from their story to how wine is made. The flight was $50 per person. They also bring some small snacks with the tasting which is great for wine pairing. They had a sweet wine bottle open and they offered a free try for us which was amazing. Out of all the options in Napa for wine tasting, I would definitely recommend this winery!

We’ve been members of this beautiful winery for over 10 years. This is always our first stop when touring our out-of-town guests. There’s no better place to experience the beauty of the valley.

Went to Silverado Vineyards with expectations. However, it was disappointing. Host checked in with us once, and no longer checked in again. There were only another table of guests that day, but the host seemed to just not wanting to talk to us or something. Wine was also very single dimensional without much surprises. Overall, quite a disappointing experience compared to the other tastings I've had in Napa Valley. Would not recommend this winery if you're trying to have a good time.

Went downhill after the new owner bought it. Got rid of all their staff via a one sentence email! What kind of employer does that. Wines are ok but man have the vibes totally changed. It is quite beautiful though.

Amazing spot for wine tasting, would definitely recommend. My friends are members and we got complimentary tastings. Their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, the wines are of the best quality and the place itself is gorgeous. Their charcuterie board was delicious too, it paired perfectly with the wines.

As the Napa Valley chauffeur , always , on the lookout for wineries that provide an exceptional experience ! The ladies here today were on it !!! Definitely , worth trying and forming your own opinion !!! CHEERS !!!

5 years ago this was a 5 star review. Silverado makes amazing wines, and the winery itself is an experience to visit. However, since the Foley Family merger the wine club is a mess, my last 4 orders were wrong, and no one answers phone calls or emails. Their wines are still very good, but the customer service is awful, and as a result I am no longer a member

One of the best wine tasting experiences I’ve had. The wine is delicious, especially Geo. Our server was knowledgeable, personable and fun. Beautiful building and grounds. A well rounded wine tasting experience for any wine lover.

Silverado is beautifully situated on top of a hill that looks north over the Napa vally. They are in the Stags Leap district and had some great cabs. Really enjoyed the cab franc the most.

This was my first wine tasting ever and our sommelier, Frank was 10 out of 10. He immediately greeted us then showed us our table. Frank was very knowledgeable and prompt. My fiancé and I came from the East coast to Napa. We would definitely return to Silverado again.

I do love the views at the winery, the tasting experience and wine - so much so that I joined the wine club. Unfortunately, their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’ve called multiple times and left messages, never get anyone live AND also never received a phone call back (Since November 1st). I emailed multiple times and received one response stating my email address was spelled wrong and they corrected it and once I log in I should be able to see my account information. NEGATIVE, I can’t see anything, I’ve since called back and emailed a few times and have yet to receive any response back. Can anyone reading this please help me with my account? Truly disappointing. Thank you.

A winery that is nestled on top of a small hill overlooking some of the most appealing vineyards. Upon entry the tasting room is comfortable and welcoming. We did a 2 for 1 tasing of the Silverado flight.Great price and entry to their wines. Ended up buying two bottles. Nice patio area to also enjoy your tasting. Recommendations: - if business needs permit (as I believe they did on my visit) have the employees who do the tastings, move around. What I am getting at is that I had to get up and get my wine. (I know poor me) after each sampling. Service to me is important and this would’ve elevated your service. I get that after doing hundred of sampling’s, it’s hard to focus on service- but we come for that experience. We enjoy the characters who pour our wine and the conversations that occur. - the gentlemen (balding and light colored hair) just pour our wine, didnt provide a service forward attitude. He did not share the experience or information of the wine we we were trying.He instead focused on the women he was already catering to. Bragging about his free Disney tickets... okay? Rude. But if I’m paying for an experience- I think an experience should be delivered regardless of what tasting I’m doing. -Claire. Claire eventually hosted us, after he rudely Brushed her off. I’m glad she did come out and talk to us. She saved the sale, made the sale, and provided the experience. Kuddos to Claire. Cheers!!

Last vineyard stop of the day so we just wanted to relax and enjoy the wine. The staff recognized this and provided us with a great tasting and a lovely seating area to over look the beautiful grounds. Was the perfect end to a long day and the scenery and staff were absolutely wonderful!

This winery is owned by the famous Indy 500 racer Mario Andretti family. Maybe not the largest winery in the California Napa Valley, but the ambient remind you of Italy. The wine tasting us quite good with a good assortment of white and red wine. Worth checking out if you're in Napa Valley.

Easy to find. Lots of tasting options. Gift shop and friendly staff. Had a great time! Dont think it possible to have a crappy time drinking all that wine with the beautiful scenery. ❤️

We are priority wine pass holders and decided to stop by Andretti’s location at Feast it Forward. So glad we did! Roger was a wonderful host and taught us so much ranging from the science of the winemaking to the history of Napa (and beyond). The wines were fantastic, highly recommend.

Best tour guide and awesome winery experience! This winery is a must visit if you are planning a visit to wineries when in Napa. Our tour guide Gregg with 3G’s as he put it was amazing - courteous, highly knowledgeable and loves what he does which reflects in the way the tour was planned. He very patiently explained the aspects and essentials of viticulture and enology. We got a chance to walk outside and look at the vines, we learnt how they are harvested and planted each season. Andretti has a lot of good wine options, several Reds, Rose and Whites including dessert and reserve wines. Their Sangiovese was wonderful, we even bought a bottle of it before leaving. Gregg also recommended restaurants to try in the area and they were both spectacular! Castello di Amorosa winery is overrated, I highly recommend ditching that winery and visit Andretti instead. Another party on our tour felt the same way and agreed that Castello was bogus.

Beyond outstanding! Paul was a great tour guide and hilarious storyteller. Very knowledgeable in the process. And all the wines were fantastic! Such a great time.

Cute, small winery. This was our last winery of the day and we enjoyed our time there. Nice people and good wine. “Greg with 3 G’s” was great, as were the rest of the staff.

A vineyard with a fairly young history of about 22 years. The wines were nice but the prices I saw put these higher than I would usually pay. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Really disappointed with the staff. We arrived early to an empty winery and were told to go outside because everyone was at lunch. We wandered through the demonstration garden, but that only takes about 10 minutes max. We asked if there was a possibility that we could do a cave tasting, one staff member sounded optimistic, but then the same staff member that told us to sit outside said, "Absolutely not, we are booked." Meanwhile the tasting room and parking lot was empty. While waiting for the tasting to begin, another staff member was trying to open a bottle of sparkling wine. Unfortunately, she spilled half the bottle on me and the table and down the hall. Instead of sending a manger to talk to us, or offer any accommodations, they went on like nothing happened. The interesting thing is that the sparkling wine wasn't on the tasting menu, and other than the amount that was poured on me, we weren't offered a tasting. The person pouring seemed like she could care less about the wine and our experience, later encouraging me to try Australian wine. Please don't waste your time and money at this winery. It was my birthday, so my boyfriend paid for the tasting and left a tip, but only because he didn't want to leave a bad impression or for them to say something because he is brown. That fact that he was concerned that they were treating us this way because of our biracial relationship is disturbing. Also, I did message the winery on their reservation system to alert them that I was not happy, to which I have yet to receive a response. Truly the worst experience in Napa.

For those who love full-bodied yet fruity Cabernets, this winery is for you! What an amazing experience! My mom and I had never been before and loved the winery! The cave is so cool and tasting area/ room in the cave was great. Only down side was no food (nuts and cruMcGuire bread sticks). Shout out to Melissa who was so knowledgeable about their wines, the process and Napa Valley in general. Highly recommend!

It's too bad Pine Ridge has degraded over the years, as a 10 year member I've observed the change possibly due to the ownership. I've collected their wines, still have many bottles in my Eurocave, their standard and library wines are too sweet yet I think they claim not added sugar. Not recommended at all. You can buy their so called signature cab Fortis at about 60% of the membership cost at a retail source. And they canceled my membership because I didn’t respond to their emails TEE HEE Nice modern caves thus the two stars.

Beautiful winery and good wine! We did the Estate Tasting where we tried 5 wines at $55/person, which was reasonably priced. Troy was a very good guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate. We were passing through and they accommodated us as a walk-in, which was nice. What’s also neat is they let you try the grapes off the vine (they were so sweet!). I don’t know of any other vineyards that let you do that, so that was cool. Great experience and we left with more wine!

Classic and classy! Top drawer wine and experience! We did the Cellar 47 tasting!! Steve was a very educated and personable guide! Beyond generous pours of high quality wines. The cave tunnels were fun and our taste with cheeses etc was tucked away in a private luxurious area! We learned a lot too! We became members as they have great benefits to becoming a member!

Loved Troy who toured us. We have been members for such a long time and we’re married in the garden 25 years and loved being back. Thanks for making our time with you so special.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! This was my first trip to Napa and this was my favorite tasting. Not only the quality of the product but the incredible educational experience led by Nancy was fun and eye opening. She provided us with a tour and private tasting. The most exciting part was she taught us how to properly taste wine. I highly recommend booking at Pine Ridge and def grab a bottle or two of their 100% cab - Knoll. I visited Pine Ridge Vineyards in April, and had a lovely experience. I had booked the cave tour and tasting experience, and it was worth it. Informative and fascinating, and then the tasting room down in the caves was beautiful and luxurious. I'd told them my trip was celebrating my recent retirement, and they marked the occasion with special attention. The wines were delicious, with generous pours, and there were light snacks to accompany them. I joined their Wine Club and am looking forward to enjoying more Pine Ridge wines in the future!

The wine was excellent and the grounds were beautiful. Christopher was so nice and provided a lot of information on all the wines. We loved it so much we became wine club members.

Absolutely amazing wine tasting experience in Napa. Christopher and the staff took great care of us during our anniversary celebration with great conversation and teaching us about wine in the area. He recommended several great places to try out during our short stay, and gave us several great pours. The complimentary snacks served as a great pallette cleanser between sips. We had a great time and took home a bottle to commemorate the occasion.

This tour was awesome! Our host was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The cave tasting was the best overall experience of our trip. The wines were excellent and they provided a light snack as a palate cleanser to go along with the tasting. Extremely clean and well staged. The grounds were emaculate. Would definitely return.

Pine Ridge is one of the most beautiful wineries in all of Napa! We did the bottle service on the garden terrace and spent a wonderful afternoon enjoying delicious wine with the picnic lunch we brought. Nancy was our guide for the afternoon and she was delightful! We bought several delicious wines to enjoy this fall. Thank you for a perfect afternoon experience!

Loved our tasting here! We brought our puppy and they were so welcoming of her and even brought her a little dog bed!

Wonderful place, cabs were fantastic. Everyone was welcoming to us and our dog while we relaxed in their nice outdoor space. We joined their wine club because we enjoyed the wine and the experience and later on they sent us a nice card mentioning our dog by name. Really thoughtful of them and I think represents the high level of service they provide.

Rated as having some of the best Cabernet Sauvignons in the area, I would fully agree. We had Chris run us through our wine tasting and he was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and generous. We tried an array of wines from Pine Ridge and from the whites to the reds were thoroughly impressed. My favourite was the Stage Coach which is a delicious and bold Cabernet Sauvignon grown in higher altitudes to stress the grape. Highly recommend you go here!
