Great state park. Huge sand dunes with great views of the bay and Nags Head. The Park Ranger we met was really awesome and let the kids sit in his vehicle and gave them sunglasses and stickers. Lots of people flying kites and you can hang glide by appointment.

What a lovely unexpected stop as we arrived in the Outer Banks and waited for our rental to be ready. We ended up spending a few hours here and walking amongst the enormous dunes on a gorgeous spring day.Everyone in the family enjoyed it and it's great for little ones to run out some energy. It was nice taking our shoes off and exploring, but also watching the kites and hang gliders set up. You'll definitely want your sunscreen and glasses, since there is no shade out there.

My kids love this place. I do probably more than them...it's a really big hill of sand, which doesn't sound enjoyable at all, but the entire ecosystem captured there is incredible. Pack sunscreen, it'll be hot, but at the bottom of the dune, just as you come off the boardwalk, is a little basin where the water filters down and settles. The water is very warm and filled with tadpoles, which thrilled my kids to death. Take a kite and hold on, the winds will lift it high and fast. Watch the hang-gliding lessons and explore all the little paths. Great views of both the ocean and the sound

This was a really great place to visit and probably a once in a lifetime experience unless you plan to visit the Great White Sand Dunes in Colorado. The sand is super soft and the hike is very short to get to the main dunes. Images cant adequately capture how vast it feels when you’re there! If you have a pet I’d suggest going in the morning or evening so the sand is cooler. There is no shade whatsoever on the main dunes so bring a backpack and some water and a hat. Its also more windy at the dunes than in the parking lot so plan to go on a calmer day. It only took us 15 mins to walk from one side of the dunes to the other so its not as far as it seems when you first get there. Only downside was that right after we got there someone dropped off 6 tour buses full of youths and their extended families so it quickly became a giant sandbox full of 200 cackling teenagers. Try going during off days/hours or multiple times since it’s totally free!

Pictures honestly don’t do this place justice. It’s amazing! It’s way bigger than I expected it to be, so you feel like you’re alone even though you may not be. There are so many trails to walk and it’s such a great place to bring your dogs. They do have to be leashed but we let ours run a bit without holding onto them because no one was around and they have good recall. 10/10 recommend giving this place a visit and I’d definitely plan to spend a good chunk of time here!

I loved the open dunes on an excellent February of 46F. When we got to the trees, the trail was not well maintained, but we scrambled to the water. The signs can be confusing but we use the app “trails” to guide us. I totally recommend this place when the temps are low.

Always have to make a stop here while visiting the Outer Banks. This is a must stop if you are a first time visitor. The facilities have always been clean. The gift shop and vending machines are there if you need a snack or a beverage to cool off. I would suggest bringing some water. It gets hot on top of the ridge. However its worth the hike because the view is amazing.

Our all time favorite place to visit in the area regardless of the season. Tip#1: Rent the boards from the shop. Tip#2: WAX, WAX, WAX and WAX the bottom of the board every 3 trips down. Edges first!!! #3:We bring snacks and blankets. Going up and down the hills is exhausting. We lay down, take naps, snack and take walks in between. Our favorite hill is the first real big one in the first main clearing. We haven't covered all of the park but that was our tried and true best out of all the hills we did. Make sure you walk towards the center hills so you can see both the ocean and the sound. It is beautiful. I highly recommend bringing a kite. We just unfold it and like magic it flies, almost too well. I do wish the little store had more Jockey Ridge merchandise. We would have stocked up. The staff were great! Thank you for a great experience.

Lovely dune park in the Outer Banks. Lots of parking, restrooms, and multiple paths out to the dunes. There is also a short boardwalk to a viewing area. If you walk far enough, you'll eventually see views of The Sound. Wear appropriate footwear and expect blowing sand. Also expect crowds with tour and/or school groups.

Highly recommend visiting! We only had about 36 hours in the Outer Banks and we chose to do this. Free to visit. Went about an hour and a half before sunset. There’s a parking lot with plenty of spots and then at the little building they have a men’s and women’s bathroom. Plenty of stalls if you were with a group. We didn’t wear our shoes on the dunes so if you wear them, I recommend bringing a book bag to put them in. Also recommend sunglasses especially if it’s windy, because the sand blows into your eyes. 😆

We rode by and saw the people out on the dunes from the road so I looked it up and found the Jockeys Ridge state park. I told my husband it would be neat to go out there and take a look. It was incredible to see all of the sand dunes here! You wouldn't expect to see so many huge sand dunes comparable to what it must be like in the dessert just a much smaller scale. My husband explained to me how it reminded him of his deployments. It's a fun family friendly place to go and explore and play. You can see the beach from both sides at the very top of the sand dunes. We will have to come back one day with our boys.

Worth the exhaustion of climbing all the dudes and fighting the wind. Incredible views and memories with my kids. Don't skip this place if you're visiting OBX. Pay a little bit more for a better kite at the kitty hawk kites store across the street and it was a great investment.

Jockey Ridge State Park is just awesome! Picture this: you're surrounded by massive sand dunes, with the ocean in the distance. It's the perfect spot for kite flying or a leisurely hike on the trails. Whether you're into adventure or just chilling out, this park has it all. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Beautiful! We went twice at sunset during our stay in the OBX. One day was really windy, but the sand blowing over the dunes was really neat. Both days had beautiful sunsets and weren’t crowded. We went during the off season (March), so I’m not sure how crowded it gets in summer

Absolutely beautiful!! Waited for the sunset which was spectacular. Did a time lapse of the sunset. The park closed at 6 pm due to being in the off season; however, the park ranger was great and understood that the sunset would be after 6 pm and allowed for extra time. A must see. Be prepared to climb a steep dune following a scenic boardwalk to an observation area.

Fun time climbing the dunes. Great to do on a cooler day. Great views all around. The sand is packed and wind blown so not a hard climb through the sand.

So much fun to come with the kids and learn about the dunes in NC and fly a kite. I’m very glad we stopped. The dunes were massive compared to what I was expecting after having been to the beach all week. The indoor restrooms were very nice (didn’t use the ones outside). There were vending machines and picnic tables along w an area to rise the sand off.

Jockey's Ridge was one of the places on my must visit list while doing a lighthouse tour along the Outer Banks. It's a phenomenal place that feels otherworldly while being located in such a bustling location. The dunes and sheer amount of sand stretching to the horizon is amazing. It was a fun experience running up the dunes with warm sand under my feet. This is also the eastern end of the state's Mountains to Sea Trail.

We decided on a whim to visit Jockey's Ridge State Park, and I am glad we did. We went earlier in the day when it was very windy after a night of rain. My son and I walked the boardwalk to the end, and then decided to see what these dunes were all.about. First, we climbed a steep hill, but once we got to the top we were greeted by an open area of dunes, and a view, in the distant, of the Roanoke Sound. Nature is so beautiful and awesome because the dunes are majestic. After that we drove to the other entrance right on the Roanoke Sound beach. This section was more about the water, and less about the dunes. Even so, it is still impressive. And to watch people parasail the Roanoke Sound was equally impressive. Make sure to dress accordingly for not only the temperature, but also the wind.

Beautiful view from the top. YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP EARLY TO BUY TICKETS. You also must be at the base of the lighthouse 5-10 minutes BEFORE your reservation time. They only sell 8 tickets per 20 minute time slot. The rangers are pleasant and educational.

Must see sight on OBX between Nags Head and Oregon Inlet. Park for free and walk the boardwalk to a beautiful view of the lighthouse and surrounding marshes. Enjoy seeing and hearing wildlife, particularly water fowl. There are nice restrooms with flush toilets & running water. Plenty of free parking. There is a ranger station, book store and gift shop within the historic keeper’s residence building. The lighthouse is generally open for climbing from Memorial Day to Labor Day, but the sign we saw today indicated that it will open in late April. This is a very well preserved historic site, surrounded by natural beauty. Don’t miss out!

This is one of my favorite lighthouses. You do need to purchase tickets in advance on the NP website. It takes a few minutes to set up an account, so plan ahead during busy seasons. The view at the top is well worth the climb. Good place to picnic, restrooms available.

It was the anniversary of the lighthouse we as a family got to see it lit the old fashioned, original way of lighting the watchtower. Also, they had posters as a no-cost gift for attending the anniversary of its unique and priceless standing. Peaceful, easy to walk up the island strait, great for photography of all kinds. I had a local man kindly brief my family & I on the history of the lighthouse & why it was unique, just as a courtesy! :) Wonderful view & private!

The lighthouse is nestled in such a serene location, it's incredibly relaxing. The park service does an amazing job with the grounds and have such a trove of knowledge to talk about. Definitely ask a ranger about the story of the name of Bodie Island. Do make sure you buy tickets online in the morning if you're planning on climbing the lighthouse, because it sells out regularly.

You can no longer walk up and get to climb this lighthouse. You must schedule in advance online and I did not realize that after driving down from Duck. It was still a great experience to get to see the lighthouse and we were allowed to walk into the bottom and see the stairwell and museum areas. There is also a boardwalk with an observation deck that has some beautiful views and wildlife to see.

This is another beautiful lighthouse in Cape Hatteras, NC. It has 216 steps, which I did not climb. They warn you that it's hot inside and children have to be a certain height and children cannot be carried in order to climb the stairs. I'm sure it's a beautiful sight at the very top but I won't know unless you post your pictures so I can see!! Also, try lifting the can of oil that the lighthouse keepers would have to carry 2 times a day up all those steps to fuel the light! Good luck:)

Pretty cool, I never really saw a lighthouse in person before. If you want to walk up into the lighthouse you have to purchase your tickets at 7am online for it. When we got there, there was only 1 ticket left. But it was still beautiful from the bottom. They have a little marsh walk that you stay on the platform to go look out at a lookout. Little nice adventure. And inside the house there is a little gift shop with information and more history facts.

Must see if I’m the area. The visitor center is very nice, lots of history and information is available including the history of the lighthouse and information about the wildlife in the area. There is also a small gift shop with lots of nice items to choose from. The rangers working are very informative and friendly. Our son did the jr ranger program and we stayed for a ranger program which was well organized, perfect length and very educational. We really enjoyed our stop and would recommend the stop to anyone who loves the outer banks or lighthouses.

Such a beautiful lighthouse. The living quarters were large. There is no access to the upstairs area. Lots of artifacts in the main living quarters. You can also get a unique stamp for the passport for the national state parks.

The lighthouse is managed by NPS and it in a beautiful location offering several interesting views for photography. Best night photography here would be during the new moon when it’s really dark. Even better if it’s during the months when the Milky Way is visible. I noticed a source of light pollution where I’d look for the Milky Way so I can’t say this will be a great Milky Way photo location. I think the light pollution source is fairly new.

The most underrated lighthouse on the Outer Banks. Its barely tucked away behind the trees making it feel more rural than it actually is. The grounds are neatly kept and open. The walkway allows you to view the marshes up close and is a great place to spot wildlife.

Great spot to stop and stretch your legs before you drive through the long stretch of park land. Beautiful light house and green space, with a small visitor center (no charge) and restrooms nearby. Enjoyed the short walk on the boardwalk out to the viewing tower- saw fish and crabs in the water. Didn't climb the lighthouse today (so hot!) but if you decide to go, get your ticket online before coming (otherwise you'll likely not get one). Fairly busy, but there is a good bit of parking and it's a place for only a short visit, so there is regular parking turnover.

Pretty lighthouse to visit. We got there too late to climb the inside, so we walked the marsh walk out to the lookout. Had a great view of the water and the lighthouse. Lots of pictures taken by my wife. Easy parking and also has restrooms to use.

One of the beautiful gems of the East Coast! This lighthouse has a beautiful drive in, ample parking and so many incredible angles to view the lighthouse from. Make sure to walk the short nature trail!

We got there about 430 and they close at 5 so we didnt get to go in the lighthouse its self. They locked it up about 450 while we were in the gift shop museum area. We still enjoyed seeing it.

One of the three lighthouses featuring the classic black and white paint scheme on the Hatteras National Seashore, the Bodie Island Lighthouse was built in 1872 and stands nearly 160 feet. The grounds around the lighthouse are spectacularly maintained. Climbing to the top is by purchasing tickets in advance.

A must see on your Outer Banks trip! We ended up making it just after the store closed, but we’re still able to walk around and take pictures. We were able to see the light function as well, just before sunset.

Beautiful grounds. Lighthouse is easy to photograph. Short walk to an observation tower. Saw a family of muskrats near the boardwalk.

Lovely all around. Great view from the top, although I would not recommend the climb for those who are height-averse. As explained by the guide before you go up, only one person can climb a single flight of stairs at a time and they do feel a bit rickety at times.

We decided to check out the pier while we're still here in OBX. I loved the signage explaining the history of the pier and the small aquarium inside. The bathrooms were also clean and orderly. Our only complaints were the $2 fee for each of us to walk on the pier just to check it out and the fact that they aren't pet friendly, even though it's completely outdoors. Since we have our small dog with us to explore, that was a deal breaker.

Loved walking this pier! A stunning day and they were hosting a event where 4 teams were competing for the production of producing clean drinking water from the ocean. We were informed of the event and it was such a special add-on to the experience.

We had an amazing time. We came in for a day trip to enjoy my son’s 2nd birthday and it was perfect. We stopped at the small family market around the corner and then headed to the pier where we were able to find easy free parking and very close beach access. We had no troubles getting to the beach with our two year old and our belongings. I would definitely recommend water shoes for this beach. The current was very strong and the ocean floor was full of shells and ocean debris which was unpleasant. I put my child in a life preserver and I felt it wasn’t too safe to go in at all, although there were many people a good ways into the water. The waves on this particular day were just absolutely brutal, I was knocked over and dragged a few times, immediately skinning up my knees and the ocean could have swallowed up my 2 year old very quickly, even in the very shallow surf. I normally love to frolic about in the waves, but even just the surf challenged every muscle in my body, my knees and ankles were even too weak too withstand it for any considerable amount of time. Despite the aggressive waves, it’s still a great beach and the views are incredible and the memories will last forever. There are no rows and rows of high rise hotels obstructing the pristine views. The other beach goers were chill and friendly. Everyone is happy on the beach! I highly recommend this experience! Just bring some water shoes, sand toys for the youngsters, and your favorite bevvy. There were many treasures to behold in the surf and sand. I would definitely provide my toddler a sand bucket and shovel next time, so he can busy himself making moats and sand castles.

We always stroll the pier when we're here. Great walk to experience & different prices for passes depending upon your need. Gift shop is quaint with lots of toys & fishing items. Benches all over & is a fun expedition! Only $2 a person to walk on it but that pass good for full day! Small tube aquarium with fish details in common area. Easy park & walk!

Awesome place and time sweet gift shop great views from the pier. Plenty of people fishing and getting rays and skates small blue fish and spotted trout. Great day awesome time had my Jeep with me also known as #smokey5120 thank u for the great time

This enormous pier was a fantastic experience. There is a coffee shop, gift store, and small aquarium accompanied by placards and posters that talk about the history of the area and the pier. Out on the main pier, you can take in a beautiful view of the ocean. It is absolutely gorgeous! We even got to see dolphins not very far away from the pier. I highly recommend visiting! 👍👍

7/29/22 This is a fantastic pier which has wind turbines that generate the electricity for the pier's lighting. It is the longest pier of the seven piers on the Outer Banks reaching out 1,000 feet into deep water. It's very popular for tourists and fishermen. The pier has a blanket license for anglers and licenses can be purchased at the register with a valid driver's license and payment. The ocean and beach views are beautiful especially at sundown. The beaches here are wide and there is a public bathhouse, outdoor showers and a lifeguard. A gift shop is located at the entrance and admission to the pier is just $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 10 for the day. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. from May to October. Pets are not allowed on the pier.

This is not just another pier! Jeanette's pier pier is an experience definitely recommended when visiting OBX. The aquarium, the gift shop, and the pier with amazing views all day. It is very relaxing to just sit and take in the scenery and the people. Must see spot and should be on your list of to-do!

There seemed to be a lot of questions regarding the beach at Nags Head Island. We visited this place in mid of June a week ago and we had a wonderful time there. The beach is one of the great beaches i ever visited. There wasn't any litter or dirt beach is very clean and neat. In fact, its more beautiful in night time if you visit it at new moon night 🌙.. i love this place sharing some pictures you can see .. its amazing and incredible scenes...

I have been here a couple of times. I think this is a great pier to walk on and to fish. The first time I was here we saw three whales swimming past the end of the pier (which is rare to see). Today we saw a few fisherman catching fish at the end of the pier. The pier is pretty clean and the views are great if you want to take pictures with your family. There is a 2 dollar fee per person to enter onto the pier. I liked seeing the sun set, watching people swimming on the beach, and just sitting on the benches. I would recommend coming here for anyone vacationing in the area.

Not a bad spot on the beach. The bathhouse is nice, and is much better than most places on the OBX. The area under the pier also has lots of shade, which is great if you need it. The beach does get pretty busy by the middle of the day, so I’d definitely arrive early if you want a good spot.

My photos show what you can see without paying the fee to walk onto the pier. Outside walls have the interesting history of the pier. A large brass sea turtle makes for a good photo with the kids. Inside there are restrooms, a mini aquarium, and a gift shop with apparel, kids binoculars, toys, fishing gear, and snacks.

Annual tradition for our family. We love the interactive touch screen information panels that accompany the incredible tanks. The pier itself has lovely commemorative fish shaped plaques inlaid in the wood walkway. The view is awesome and the beach is always enjoyable. Ample parking is a big plus.

Jennette's Pier is a fabulous location for a wedding on the Outer Banks! We truly enjoyed photographing Isabel & Jeremiah's wedding there, so many amazing locations for photos and some of the friendliest staff! We can't wait to photograph here again!

I’ve never been a big fan of piers that make you pay to walk out on and that’s why I could only give four stars. Other than the payment, the pier and gift shop are nice and clean. Plenty of seating and bathrooms.

$2 per person to get onto the pier. The gift shop and little aquarium inside are free. We walked to the end and got to see some Dolphins in the ocean!

We visited Jannette's Pier on a windy cold December day while on a road trip up the Outer Banks. There was a $2 charge per person to walk out on the pier. There were two fishermen and some dolphin spotters besides us. In the water in a wetsuit was a person body boarding the surf. They looked like they were having fun despite what must have been very cold water. I bet this place is packed in the summer.

One of the nicest piers I've been to. Great beach area too. There is a decent amount of parking but it does fill up fast during tourist season.

Beautiful day for a visit! This was our first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. It cost $2 per person to walk out on the pier for the day. They have a nice beach access area and outdoor showers and bathrooms. They have sheltered areas to sit under along the pier. There were plenty of benches to sit on. There was also an indoor gift shop area and even a huge fish tank area with more bathrooms. Very nice! It's definitely worth visiting!

Rude people constantly on that pier. The ol guys out there act like they own the place. Bottom fishing when not supposed to and even snitch at you if you step over that line to check out a fishing spot and bot have a pole in your hand. Last I checked it said public. Each adult and each child has paid to go out there. Quit try to ruin other people's day ... @$$ holes out there.

Great spot to catch the views! Bar on pier was Ridiculous on drink prices! A beer and mojito was 30.00! Couldn't taste the cheap rum either. Oiy

Sooooo many memories here! We used to vacation regularly in the 90s, and we spent so much time here back then, being just about a mile from where we stayed on our yearly vacation. It was Psycho, 'Mike' wanting to catch a coby that made the Nags Head pier so memorable. Obviously, things are very different today given time and weather. I stopped by on the 4th, not realizing the pier was closed for the holiday fireworks. I was in total nostalgic shock and really taking it years later when I asked to go out on the pier. The older gentleman at the counter kind of rudely told me the pier was closed. That's understandable, but he didn't have to seem so annoyed by our presence. The hostess for the restaurant was also very persistent in explaining the closure for the holiday. I can imagine how annoying it must be dealing with 'tourists' when working day in and day out, but still have some consideration for your customers. I asked about parking for the fireworks and wasn't offered much advice. Apparently, Bryan, the GM of the pier, overheard me and took the time to offer my family a VIP parking pass, considering my mom's limited ability to walk for the fireworks. It's Bryan's generous consideration that I'm giving the Nags Head Pier a 5-star rating. We were able to park on the premises and enjoy the best fireworks display I've ever seen in my 41 years of life! A day later, I was able to fly over the pier by helicopter. For me, this pier is a staple of memories from years of vacations in Nags Head, and regardless of the customer service, it will always be a special place. Shout out to Pyscho and shout out to Bryan for making our most recent trip most memorable! I will always visit the Nags Head Pier when visiting OBX!

Food and beverage 50’ from the ocean!

Do not fish unless you are friends with Jeff. If you are then you can fish bottom and pin rigs where ever you want, if you don’t know him then he will insult you and not let you fish exactly how the signs tell you to fish. He wouldn’t let us use bottom rigs anywhere, wouldn’t let us use float rigs with the 6 ounce lead to keep it in place, as the sign tells you to. Someone he was talking to had 4 bottom rigs out and was able to use a big cobia bucktail, but no one else was allowed at that spot because of him. Jeff also told us that the white painted rail that you can only use jigs at, was supposed to be way bigger but they didn’t have time to finish it, but they had time to paint the ends of the white paint with red paint. Jeannette’s pier is longer and cheaper to fish, don’t fish here at all.

1.) the people at this pier have more rules than fun. They have all kinds of signs posted and no signs to welcome customers in.

Walked the beach a few days ago and wanted to check out the pier. Asked the guy working there if we could walk through to the pier and he said we had to pay. Decided to just continue my walk instead as I wasn’t interested in paying, turned around and told them to have a good one. I was met with rude comments from him and one other older worker including “the pier didn’t build itself, go somewhere else” What? Was nothing but nice to these guys. Seems from the reviews that I’m not the only one who’s had a bad experience with the miserable workers here. Unfortunate, since it is a pretty cool spot.

Being new to town we wanted to check this place out. Upon entering we saw an older gentleman near the entrance and asked him if we can walk through to go walk the pier. His response was “can’t you read”? Well there was a family of four in front of the sign that “we were supposed to somehow see” preventing us from seeing the sign. Don’t ever disrespect my family and talk to us like we are uneducated. I highly recommend not going to this place. I also see other reviews describing the rude behavior conducted at this establishment.

terrible experience not suited for any family on vacation trying to have a good time. went out on the pier to teach my son and daughter how to fish and i was met with a really rude older employee who was yelling and cussing out on the deck. if i were you i’d say go to avalon pier or jenettes. they at least treat people like people.

Went to the pier around noon with some friends and fished for a few hours. The crew was great and got us the few things we needed and we were on our way. I alone dropped over $100. (Hoodie, glasses and 2 fishing passes not even mad tbh) The others 3 spent $30-$60. We were told pier was open till midnight weather permitting. It closed at 1030 on a nasty night mind you. Get back at 830pm on a beautiful night just to be met in the parking lot and told he's closing in 20 minutes. He wasn't there prior. When we told him what we were told earlier we were met with a fishermen's 1000 mile stare. I recommend staying on the beach and getting plastered. Morning guys get 5 stars though.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, wasnt that busy but was given special menus for weekend and a regular menu. We ordered from both, so final result was those of us that ordered from regular menu didnt get food. Waitress was told after the one person who got there food was done that we couldnt get crab dip or hush puppies.The other orders were salads and hush puppies and crab dip. Manager came and blamed waitress for being new. Got tab and they had charged for hush puppies. Waitress apologized but honestly the communication lies in mgmt. So the manager explains she gave us regular menu so we would know what they offered even though they werent making those items on weekend??? And ironically the one meal (fish and chips) came with hush puppy? They are better places in then OBX.

My daughter and I went to the Aires outlet and was able to find a beautiful swim suit for a great price and many other items marked at great prices. High quality!

Nice place with a small assortment of the standard stores you would expect at an outlet place. Same prices. Perhaps more beach-related items than outlets further inland. Plenty of parking. Easy in and out.

Went here for the first time today. What a unique and fun place. So many seasonings, hot sauces and rubs. Level of heat is clearly marked in a creative way. Also a great place for gift ideas for those who love the heat 🔥🌶

I always love going there I used to know where everything was but soo much has changed. But always nice and polite employees.

We always stop in for some gourmet vinegar. But otherwise everything else is found in all the other outlet malls. Parking is terrific. Women's bathroom is a nightmare if it's busy. The door is a choke point. It isn't designed for two-way traffic to get in and out the door. Especially when they have a giant trashcan propping the door open effectively blocking half the walk way. That makes it near impossible for wheelchairs and walkers to get in. A redesign is in order. But as far as people- super friendly and pleasant 💕 that!

Nice little outlet mall but if you’re expecting a mega mall you would be disappointed. It did have a good selection of stores. The Loft was well stocked according to my wife. We got some nice shoes at Sperry’s. Didn’t go to any other stores but next time we are at the Outer Banks we will go back for more shopping.

Great selection of stores here. Sad that Banana closed but they still have Sunglass Hut and J Crew which I like a lot. They also have a GAP and American Eagle and some other stuff.

While Mom was shopping, I was enjoing the sound-side facing decks. One has more comfortable seating and better shade and the other has more tables and more sun. Both decks are winners. And for this reason, even if you aren't a shopper, I highly encourage accompanying your shopper to this outlet mall ... it was a better view than our lodgings.

Lots of name brand clothes shopping and food options here. Outdoor dining area. Stop by the customer service office for the coupon book before you shop.

I waited half an hour to pay and when I got to the cashier they told me that my shoes were not on sale, because I cheat that way I feel offended waiting 30 minutes is unacceptable

There are some spectacular deals to be had here! My wife bought two pairs of high quality sneakers for what she'd have paid for one pair where we live.

Great selection of retail stores. Loved the outdoor decks overlooking the sound.

There are good stores still here, but I must not be into the latest fads and stuck more into what I know works for me. Eddie Bower never disappoints and I do like Vera Bradley, but I really miss Coach and Nautica. Ralph Lauren is ridiculous even in the outlet. A restaurant has been added which is awesome to give a day of shopping one with no concerns of where to eat.

2/1/2022. Update, the Outlets Nags Head aren't quite as good as when it was under Tanger Outlets, it's harder to get discounts and hours change from store to store, it also seems harder to order from these shops online.. its a nice place to enjoy the view, grab a wrap, but understand you'll pay for it.. * love certain shops here at this Tanger Outlet, is everything a bargain? no.. but the places,I love the most, such as , Carter's, Gap, and more ,can't be beat, and the employees are awesome, go above and beyond and there's always a sell going on at most shops ,Do you want more for your money? Then go here, whether for your child ,friends, or, in my case my grandchildren, it's a steal and a shout out to Carrie?or Robin? ' I may not remenber her name shes the manager ) but a kinder more helpful woman you wont meet, I believe she's doing and setting the example for her employees there. . Thank you from the grandma who is ill, & you always help and remember myself and your customers. Keep up the great work. Overall, good options for stores. Very walkable with plenty of parking. Could be a great escape from the sun or if you need some retail therapy. Wish more sales or deals were available or some variety of stores for all groups.

The website says it opens at 1000 on Sunday. The stores don't open till 1100. There should be some consistancy

Overpriced items in every store. If money is no object then you’ll like it here.

I have been to many outlets in my day, this was not an outlet like I had ever seen before. I only went into a couple of stores but their prices were way more than any outlet store I have ever been to. Not a big outlet mall, you would think their prices would be phenomenal, this was not the case. All of the staff in the stores that we went to, Michael kors and an oil and other items shop, were very nice with a pleasant demeanor but this did not make up for the high prices. My next time to Duck, I will not make a stop at the outlets

Loved taking our kids here for go carts. Reasonably priced and two different tracks to race on. Little kids (height checks at check in) can either ride doubled with parent or older sibling or ride their own junior cars if tall enough. If your child is on the shorter side though make sure and ask for the pad to be placed behind them so they can reach the pedals the whole way. Our boy couldn't get it quite pushed far enough so he could go but not very fast and got stuck on the hill a bit. Said he was pushing with end of his toe. Staff were nice and helpful but follow the rules. No bumping is allowed and its nice to keep it clean for a beach trip. If your out to cut off, push and race for pink slips...this may not be the right fit for your group. If you want some good family fun...this is perfect! 😎

I went her for my friends birthday it's awesome it's not a generic loop it goes like all cool stuff so w full throttle

It is a fun but a bit pricey. A family of 4 is 50.00 for one race which lasts about 5 minutes. After that you are like "Now what?" A couple of the cars are significantly slower/faster than the others but it was still a good time.

Had a wonderful time with the family! Annual experience! Always fun!

Best experience for all ages. Our 7 year old is not scared of anything and she showed no fear driving a gocart all by herself. Mom was scared but she smiled so big I knew she was going to be ok. She rode them twice. Wish we had these back home in Virginia.

This is by far the coolest most fun go kart race track/speedway in the entire OBX, NC AREA!! We had so much fun going here that we have seriously be talking about coming back here every time we bring up coming back to NC for beach vacation! This place was a freaking total blast the the employees here were actually social and humorous!! This was super cool because every go kart track within the area in which we’ve tried besides this one so far the employees honestly would just get you buckled in, go over the rules like they’re supposed to, & get you back off of your go kart at the end of the race and not even really wanna speak to you any time between, during or even after the races. They just never seem to really care to give their customers the time of day to as much as cut up or even converse with them. THIS PLACE ON THE OTHER HAND, is just awesome all-around & by far the funnest most best go kart track in North Carolina (in my opinion). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! GO TRY IT OUT, foreal! You’ll have so much fun and so many laughs. 😁🙌🏼

It was a quaint visit. There were a few areas one had to watch their step, but it was an awesome experience. My son and I loved the gallery. It had seating periodically that one could rest if needed. Of course we visited at an off season. There was all genres of art. There were cels from well known cartoons, sculpture, all types of paintings as well.

Great place to see some exquisite art and jewelry. Very knowledgeable owner. Will ship.

Amazing exhibit! A great place to calm your mind and heal. We loved all the art. My favorites include the photo realism and original animation cells. The staff there were extremely nice. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would come again!

This unassuming establishment is nothing short of amazing, it so much, much larger than the pictures online and the store front convey. The quality of the art is second to none and the staff is so knowledgeable and take great care with the art in their care. That same care goes into packing your merchandise. This should be a MUST VISIT stop for all OBX visitors who appreciate a variety of amazing art.

I love this Art Gallery for many reasons, one of which is they have been very good to me in helping me sell, via their consignment program, many of my very high-end objects which were in my inventory when I downsized from a large home to apartment living. I moved to another state and yet they continue to mail me checks each month as my items sold in their gallery. The owners and workers in their employ are the best in the world. I highly recommend you visit this gallery if you are on the Outer Banks.

It has always been a pleasure to go into the Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head. The staff has always been very welcoming and kind each year we visit. This year was extremely special as we we're finally purchasing an animation cell from one of our favorite films, but when we came in it had appeared to have already sold. However, we we're guided to where unframed cells were kept and we found one exactly like it! What a great experience, looking forward to seeing what's new next year!

The pontoon boats could stand to be upgraded or cleaned. Once our reservation was actually situated we had an amazing time. Make sure you call the day before to confirm your reservation. We showed up and there was a double booking so we had to come back the next day. Still waiting on our discount for the issues.

Well working boat with ample power on the outboard. Great large zone to boat around in (honestly didn’t feel at all restrictive with two large marinas to visit and places to munch/lunch. The zone has very good markers as well. Boat was safe enough for kids with 1:1 grown ups (no loose gates or open sides etc). Would use again. Price was absolutely appropriate for the experience. Would rec the add some lines for docking if needed.

We had two teens go tubing with Captain Sarah. She was fantastic! We rode along and she was fun, energetic and safety minded. The sound was low and she did what she needed to do to ensure the trip was safe but the kids still had fun. Thanks so much for a great experience!

As a licensed USCG captain myself I have to say I was thoroughly impressed! The quality of the boat as well as the experience and service of Captain Sarah was all phenomenal. I went on the dolphin tour with my girlfriend and it was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend it!

My family and I rented a pontoon for the first time ever, we had a great experience at Causeway, we were assisted by Hunter and another young man whose name I did not get, they made sure I understood how to operate and even guided me out past the no wake zone, they gave tips of what to do in "what if" situations and where to avoid. The boat was clean and in great operating condition. I will absolutely be back on our next trip to OBX!

Our group rented an awesome, and very quiet, 12 person pontoon. The gentleman (believe his name was John) was incredibly helpful with tips and places to try or avoid before we departed. The boat handled well and we all had a great time! He recommended their jet ski tour which takes you down to Oregon Inlet, and we will be back next time to try that. Out of all the other spots to rent from, we highly recommend Causeway Watersports! Everything from setting up the rental, to getting there and onto our boat and then bringing it back in went smoothly. Thank you again!!! We look forward to that jet ski tour!!🤙🏼🐬

Compared to most other boat rentals the prices are great we had fun exploring around the area. The riding area is huge for the pontoons. They were so nice to let us bring our paddle board which we launched from the back of the pontoon boat. They upgraded us from a 12 to a fifteen person pontoon so we had a lot of extra space. I highly recommend Causeway Watersports. We will definitely come back in the years to come.

We had an awesome time today on the jet skiing tour. Our tour guid was whisked cool And we did a ton of riding and seen a few dolphins. I highly recommend it and will book again.

We went on the jet ski tour while on vacation it was the best decision we made!!!! We had so much fun!! Our tour guide found dolphins in the first 10 minutes of our ride and let us sit and watch them for a little bit. They came within feet from us. It was breathtaking!!! We did the rest of the tour up and down the coast and saw so many more dolphins! And to top it off if you want to putt around tour, this is not for you. We went 35 to 50 the whole time whipping around and jumping waves!! This is one experience we will be talking about forever!

Completely worth the money and not expensive compared to other places along the coast. The skis we had ran great and the people working there were helpful. The riding area is pretty big too. The speed of the skis are governed though, mine only got up to 35 but for the space you have and people that have never rode them it isn’t really a bad thing.

I highly recommend this company! We rented 3 large pontoon boats for 50 people and it was absolutely seamless from start to finish! The staff were all incredibly informative, kind and professional. The boats were clean and all in great condition. We could not have asked for a better experience, thank you to Jamie for all of your help!

Took the family and friends to this location to experience jet skiing.. Great experience, Great people, and a Great Time. Our guide took us to an open area where we can ride to our hearts content. We had experienced drivers to 1st time drivers. Five jet skis for 9 people. The place we were located is less than 4 feet of water in height. My whole family and friends had a great time. I will come her again when we are back in town. The front person greeted us with a smile and held our keys while we enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend them.

We had a great time out on the jet skis today. It was me, 3 kids (11,6,5) and my mom. The guys had great energy and John was incredibly helpful. The kids had a blast. We will definitely be utilizing Causeway Watersports for our future trips to OBX. Thank you guys so much!

What a great day renting 3 pontoon boats for 50 people!! The staff was AMAZING, they made it seamless and were super nice! The boats were great, I would definitely recommend Causeway!

Highlight of our trip to OBX. Jaime the owner was helpful as can be. John gave us great instruction and helped us dock. Got to enjoy an afternoon out on the water by ourselves. Boat was clean and neat. Will definitely be booking when we come back next year.

My friends and I rented the jet skis and had a great time. JC was great help and even gave us a “mini tour.” The owner was a super nice guy as well.

Had a fantastic experience jet skiing for the first time. They threw in a tour for us and prepared us well to be safe and have a blast. Would absolutely recommend!

A large evangelical camp group showed up and overwhelmed the play areas, making it anxious as a parent watching a small one at an otherwise nice park! Skateboarders also made for a less favorable morning. Unique play structures were the highlight.

Amazing 5+star park! This park should be the new gold standard. Something for anyone. Love that it's handicap friendly. Big field. Clearly used for the community and probably the encompassing school. Restroom looks legit too

We love taking our kids here whenever we’re in town. There’s tons of shade, clean restrooms, good visibility, and we always feel safe there. We’ve made it to one concert and hope to time it right for one of the many other events in the future.

Awesome park. Had our grandaughter for a few hours and we saw this park and decided to check it out. Really clean and well maintained. Some unique equipment that my grandaughter really enjoyed, as well as us.

What a great fun place for kids of all ages. Tire them out on the playgrounds, done. Have them explore and uncover dinosaur fossils, done. Huge area to throw a ball, frisbee or play red light green light, done. Plenty of places for adults to sit down while the little ones run wild.

This was a really cute park to stop at right down the street from Jockeys Ridge. It has some inclusive equipment too which was nice to see.

Amazing playground. Lots and lots of great things to do for kids old and young.

Super nice playground. It was great to go after lunch to kill the hour we had to wait to check in to our house. The oldest kid was 10 and the youngest was 4. They all had a great time. Everything is brand new and well maintained.

Fun free park in Kill Devil Hills to spend some time at. Large open field, a great jungle gym and several gandicap accessible pieces of equipment that do not require transfer. A few areas to sit that have shade but in general this is a full sun location so plan accordingly. There are bathroom facilities on the opposite end of where picnic tables are located. Smoke parking and easy access. Need a break from the beach try here.

I was looking for vintage clothing and this place had a decently sized collection. Sadly I didn't give myself enough time to look around and actually buy anything. The staff at the counter were friendly as I came in and left. It didn't seem super cheap, but the prices seemed reasonable. I'd stop in if you're looking for clothing of a certain era.

This store isn't worth your health. None of the employees wear masks, and one of them was loudly complaining about her love life and violently coughing. The things they had weren't interesting, either. There's definitely better second hand stores in the area.

Don't expect to necessarily pay the price that's marked on the item. My friend took an item to the register and was told, "That's not the correct price." Then the employee told another employee, "She's really angry we won't sell it for the price on the sticker." I'm sorry if someone didn't do their job correctly, but you should honor the prices marked on the item.

A decent collection of pre-owned items, with some areas devoted to new merchandise. Worth a stop in if you are in the area. There's a ton of clothing in here, so if that is the type of thrifting you want to do, come here.
