No fee to enter during off-season! I went at the beginning of November. It was cool to walk around and see the history. Of course, you have to check out the few famous Graves as well. There's a hike up a steep hill if you want to see Seth's grave. There were a lot of deer, turkey, chipmunks, and squirrels throughout at 9 am. I don't know anything about Wild Bill, but I enjoy cemeteries, and it was nice to go for a walk here. I surprisingly spent about 1.5 hours here. It's not good for handicapped as it's a lot of hills. Not walker/wheelchair friendly. I'm curious what the stack of rocks up by Seth's grave is for. Also, I didn't like that people were placing rocks all over the headstones. Makes the place look very messy.

Great stop to connect with some of the legends of the old west... Make sure to check out the visitor center as it has some neat historical items on display and interesting info. Its also better to visit earlier in the day as the parking area is kinda small so best to catch it before it fills up. I'm glad that I made the longer trek up the hill to visit the Bullocks burial area.

The cemetery was WAY bigger than I expected! Be prepared for a lot of uphill hiking (especially if you plan on going to Seth Bullock's grave). You definitely could spend many hours here if you want to explore the whole thing. Great overlook of the city of Deadwood and the gulch.

This cemetery holds a lot of the history for Deadwood. Most people go just to see where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried, but there’s so much more then that. It explains how scarlet fever, smallpox, and diphtheria came through the town and killed a lot of children. They also explain about the Chinese buried there. Inside the little gift shop is more history of the cemetery.

Very steep walk, but absolutely worth it in good weather. Wild Bill and Calamity Jane are near the bottom, but don't miss all of the other gorgeous and historical grave sites higher up. Seth Bullock is quite a hike, up a non paved, non maintained path, but extremely lovely and peaceful once you get there.

If you get the privilege to visit Deadwood, the Mount Moriah Cemetery is a must visit. Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried there. These two along with Seth Bullock were instrumental in establishing Deadwood as a legendary mining town. The Black Hills National Forest is a beautiful backdrop.

Nice stop and a good 1 mile hike from Deadwood to the lookout to Bullock’s grave. $2 / adult and kids are free.

Came here to see Wild Bill & Calamity Jane’s graves. It’s well maintained and the views of the city are nice so we heard. (Didn’t hike all the way up) It’s $2 to get in and it’s a short hike (maybe 5 mins) to their stones.

Fantastic staff and only $2 per person to visit. Wild Bill and Calamity Jane graves are just a short walk up from the entrance. Seth Bullock's grave is a much longer walk up a hill.

It costs $2 a person to enter. There are a few main attraction celebrity gravesites. It is quite steep hiking up and down the cemetary as it is indeed on the side of a mountain. The trail to Seth Bullock's grave will lead you all the way to the top. I definitely recommend going all the way up as the scenery from the top overlooking Deadwood is beautiful.

While visiting Deadwood you must visit Mount Moriah Cemetery where Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok are buried. I would not suggest trying to walk to the cemetery from Historic Old Town. The cemetery is a the top of a very steep hill overlooking the town. One of the people at the visitor’s center told me that even the people in the very best condition have found it extremely difficult. So, cemetery visitors should drive up the steep curvy road to the small park lot and visitors center. Parking is very limited but once you find a parking spot, make your way to the small visitors center where I paid the $2.00 fee for a map to use for the self-guided tour. You must walk when touring the cemetery and it is rather hilly, but the Graves of Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok are just a short walk from the entrance gate. If you have the time, use the map from the visitors center to explore some of the other notable graves in this cemetery including Seth Bullock who was sheriff of Deadwood. Also, most people just come to visit the graves of Calamity Jane and Wild Bill, but if you continue a little farther toward the flagpole you come to a very nice veterans memorial and an overlook that give you a very nice view of the Town of Deadwood below. All total I spent about 90-minutes walking around the cemetery. I was able to visit many of the graves on the map. If you just want to visit Calamity Jane and Wild Bill’s grave, you can certainly accomplish this in as little as 30-minutes. But there is so much history here you should probably allow at least an hour to see some of the other sites here. A visit to Mount Moriah Cemetery is a must for anyone coming to Deadwood and the $2.00 fee and map are well worth it.

Wild Bill is one of our best American men who carved out the west. This is worth the trip.

I went here for the history but the views were just as great. Its a short but steep hike to the top.

It was a bit difficult finding parking in Deadwood on our first visit. One public parking said closed, but it had cars in it, some didn’t seem to say anything and we weren’t sure where we’d have dinner. We ended up parking further away than we wanted, but it was a public parking where we could figure out how to pay for the parking. We went into one of the first casino/hotels that we found and were going to have dinner there, but they couldn’t get us in until 9 pm (2 hours later) and the same with the buffet. In spectacular news, we got reservations at Snitches on OpenTable! We walked to Tin Lizzie’s, had an amazing meal, and rolled ourselves back to our car. Snitches is our new high expectations for what a steak should be and the price was awesome. We probably should have taken the $1/person shuttle to Tin Lizzie’s, but it was a good walk and we got to play tourist a little. There were many Pokemon Go stops/gyms along the main drag.

A Casino Town with a splash of history. Not sure I would bring young children here. Heavy drinking, gambling in your face at every storefront. Many men sans wives playing biker boys. Just saying... We did enjoy our stay, but recommend side trips to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial which were an easy drive from our hotel. One day would have been enough for us.

Parking is hard to do. Pretty fun Main Street with old cowboy stuff and food.

Nicely preserved town. But way too many casinos. No decent coffees.

In its liveliness, Deadwood presents itself in first-class taste of the western frontier that gives you a feel of the years, way back to its establishment, all the way through to today. Old fashioned saloons, reenactments, original buildings, and artifacts line Main Street from top to bottom. There isn't anything short of fine dining and great eats here. Most notable are Mavericks, Mustang Sally's and the Social Club above Saloon 10. However, there isn't anything to present to youngsters besides food, a relatively small mini golf course up the hill and the small events of being inducted into the sheriff's department.

Not bad for Wild West fans but not as great as Tombstone. It has a lot of expensive stores, restaurants, and the history is less preserved.

We were there when a huge art/craft fair was going on in June. The first thing to be aware of is that parking is impossible. There are not enough spots. And if you have an RV, get in town super early. I had to drop the trailer outside of town and drive back. It has developed a number of tourist traps with overpriced goods. We are not big on museums, and what is left after that is not all that historic.

What I hoped the family and I would've found in Dodge City, we found in Deadwood instead. This felt historic. You could still see the history, not a replica trying to mimic. Good job!

I was disappointed, the town is over built with many casinos. Takes away from the old mining town. Take the time to enjoy the museums.

Lots of Deadwood history is saved here. There are relics from early to modern Deadwood along with some good background on famous figures. I'm not sure why Potato Creek Johnny isn't more well known. His story needs to be heard!

Husband and child #3 went snowmobiling for the day and we found this little treasure of a museum. I wouldn’t drive an hour JUST to see it, but I would absolutely stop if you have time to lolligag around. It has many little interactive exhibits for the kids and at $9 for all of us total, it was a great way to spend 1.5 hours!

So interesting! The history of deadwood and its people are fascinating. Three stories of well thought out exhibits. There is something for everyone there.

The Adams Museum is well worth the suggested donation of $5! You can easily spend 2 days here reading and seeing everything and still not seeing everything they have! They have everything thing from local flora and birds, gems, dinosaur remains, American Indian artifacts, and artifacts from Wild Bill and Potato Creek Johnny. There’s also interactive things that kids and adults alike would enjoy.

The best museum in Deadwood and a highly recommend stop. You learn the history of the town from the beginning and all the characters that helped shaped the town.

Went in October of 2021. Small, but has a REALLY great and varied collection! Actual gold nuggets, a real locomotive, a full plesiosaur skeleton, 2-headed calf, Native American beadwork, and a TON of old western memorabilia! There are descriptions and explanations for literally everything! Really informative, and also really cheap (about 5 bucks per person as a donation). So it's well worth the time. Like most of Deadwood, parking at the location is non-existant, so walking to it from a public lot or close by is your only option... so be prepared if you need to use a wheelchair.

This historic house is in immaculate condition! Our tour guide was one of the best I’ve experienced, she was informative, clear and concise, answered questions, and was funny! This tour gives a lot of history regarding Deadwood that helps to tie all of the people and events together!

If you're in Deadwood, I highly recommend visiting the Adams House. The decor was stunning and home has been well-preserved for the era. We arrived about 1045am just in time to take a guided 40 min tour of the home at 11am. There were about a dozen people in our tour which was comfortable but not crowded. You may take pics (no flash) along the way. If you only have a small amount of time in town, this home is definitely worth the stop.

Ab excellent tour of a gilded age house. Settled by Jewish immigrants and built by them after making a good living and investing in gold. They became prominent and early investors in IBM and Disney. Very beautiful and lovely american story

This house is wonderfully preserved with original furnishings and belongings. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and able to answer all questions asked of him. I highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area.

Stunning old Victorian home! The house was renovated for everyone to be able to tour. The items inside were like walking into a time capsule! The items and house were immaculate. The tour guide was very helpful in learning the history of the house, the families that lived there, and was very nice to families. My 18 month old was very welcomed.

This was one of the most gorgeous statues I have ever seen. A must see!!! The visitor center had really cool stuff. Kevin Costner, Dances with Wolf's stuff is there. He paid 6 million dollars to have this made. Unbelievable!!!!

Visited on a guided tour so I wasn't familiar with this center. Kevin Costner helped with the concept of this exhibit. The castings outside are some of the best I've seen outside of Washington DC.

We enjoyed our visit greatly, the movie was very informative about how Tatanka came about. Spotted Eagle was very knowledgeable of the Lokota people and the bison story. Well worth the visit.

There was a presentation which was excellent. The presenter was knowledgeable and upbeat, sharing information in a pleasant and sometimes amusing way. Afterwards we were able to go outside and see the sculpture of the buffalo-- the 3rd largest sculpture in the world, with several figures comprising the whole. The gift shop was really nice, and the visitors center had some wonderful displays. I'd go again just spend more time absorbing the atmosphere and hearing the presentation again.

Beautiful! The grass was not mowed around the Tatanka bronze statues. It would have been better had it been.

It is not a big museum but I spent hours there because the staff provided me with so much valuable information. They never got tired of my questions. Thank you very much!

Kevin Costner (Dances With Wolves) put this place together as the result of a lifelong dream and had an Absolutely Magnificent Sculptor, and I apologize as her name has slipped memory. Finally white man standing up for the indigenous people (Lakota Tribe) and honoring one of their traditions! Would Love to see more attractions and more understanding of what these magnificent people have endured. BEAUTIFUL GIFT SHOP with great prices and quality products! Wonderful, Friendly staff! Incredible Landscape! Highly, highly recommend! Spent just over a week in western South Dakota and of many, many wonderful things to see and do here this was Our Favorite!! Not really necessary to buy tickets in advance but may be a good idea since the theater that shows the film with Mr. Costner explaining the whole story is rather small but the walk to see the sculptures is located amongst absolutely breath taking landscape!! Last minute idea to stop. Its small, but has plenty of interesting things to look at. Highly recommend taking the time to watch the video presentation. We were lucky to arrive when an in-person presentation was being delivered. Very interesting. The sculptures are great. So much detail. The video presentation does a good job explaining the creation process.

Amazing historical museum. Susan the manager was great, JJ was super informative and helpfull. The giftshop is just too cool. I wanted to buy everything. I will go back every chance I get. Well worth the few bucks and drive.

I am so glad we went to Tatanka: Story of the Bison. I loved looking at the collection of artifacts, but what I loved even more was the presentation by Mr. J. J. Kent. His talk was so informative and interesting. And his flute playing was divine! The sculptures of the Bison hunt were magnificent. I'll definitely be back!!

The mine tour is very interesting! It was a cool stop on a hot day and we learned a lot. I didn't know about minerals that are beautiful and colorful underground but turn to white dust in the light! Also, miners had it a lot rougher than I ever dreamed😮

So cool going into an actual abandoned gold mine. Excellent narration thanks to our escort. They even encourage you to pick up any loose stones for souvenirs. Don't miss panning for gold too!

Always a good stop when coming through Deadwood but it’s a bit of a hike from the Historic Street. The restaurant looks like a hip high end place but it’s food is more akin to a small town cheap steakhouse. Except for slots and Starbucks, nothing really opens till 8am so if you want to wake up early to eat or play table games you’re out of luck till 8am. Springfield suites offers their own continental breakfast which is open earlier. Poker room, craps, roulette, and card games. Never been too crowded.

The rooms were great. The personnel involved with the hotel were great. I did not enjoy ever having to leave my room for anything and be on the casino floor. Getting carded every time I am simply trying to get to the food or snack area became really old super quick. The little stamp on the hand comes off anytime you wash your hands and when you are the only one in your group being carded. I have been to quite a few casinos in Deadwood and this is the ONLY one I have been ID'd so many times. Heaven forbid you have a valid state ID from another state other than ND, SD or WY. I won't stay here again.

We loved this hotel! We were a little nervous because we were on the second floor right above the casino but honestly, we both slept so good. The parking was a little challenging but it was a very close walk to the trolley. We did not realize that Deadwood was very much a 9am-5pm town otherwise we would have come earlier. However, the casino within the hotel was a lot of fun. The person who checked us in was extremely kind and helped direct us to how to purchase trolley tokens. We would definitely stay here again!

A bunch of my friends and myself decided to go out and have some fun in Deadwood. Based upon other reviews, we picked to go here, and we were very satisfied with both the food, the service, and the gambling that we were able to do. We will definitely be back. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5-star review was because we didn't stay overnight at the hotel. Otherwise, I would certainly recommend this place!

Best casino to gamble at in deadwood! The free drinks come around the fastest, the casino floor looks the most clean, and the people working there are the friendliest! I dont go anywhere else! Highly recommend

Clean Nice Casino, Tight Slots, but fair. Nice staff. Coffee shop is the best. I know it’s weird to say about a casino, but our morning stop for coffee always set our day right.

We played at the casino and it was smaller than I thought it was but that didn't stop me! It was fun and the games were great. They are definitely a stickler for checking ID's but thats no big deal. The manager was very helpful when we had questions about the players card. Sign up was fast and easy. I would go back again.

I am leaving this review while laying in my hotel bed which is quite literally harder than a concrete floor. The TV is all sorts of messed up and the hallway reeks of fryer oil from 2 floors below. The sink does not have hot water and the shower makes noises. The restaurants are subpar, you’d get better food at a fast food joint. I have come to this casino many times, but this is the first time I’ve stayed the night and I will never be returning. DO NOT COME HERE!

I stayed here last fall on a cross country trip. The hotel was clean and decorated for Halloween. The staff was friendly and went above to make sure we had a great time. We are at the restaurant Guadalajara’s and had the best Mexican food. I definitely would recommend a stay either for a few nights or on a road trip.

The stay, parking, swimming, gaming staff, and night life was Awesome bringing in 2022! For two morning breakfast meals the lady was very rude to me, business etiquette was not her main goal. The front desk lady almost took me down, she thought I stole a bag of chips!

The cleanest most affordable hotel I have ever stayed in!!! Staff and amenities were above and beyond! And yes, the slots paid very well too 😁

Hotel room was clean and quiet. Players club cards were not working properly and were a pain. Slot machimes were extremely tight for the amount of money played and only beer comped were small 6 oz. glasses of tap beer. Regular beer if chosen was $5 per beer on top of much money being played. When gambling all beer should be comped. Cost of parking and local taxes also add to over all expense of stay.

We were visiting Deadwood and stayed in Lead. Our Airbnb was about 9 minutes away so we decided to spend some time around historic Main Street and popped into CJ’s a couple of times. Really cool place and excellent location. Within walking distance to pretty much everything on Main Street. (The main area) We signed up for the players cards and the manager who signed us up was really nice and helpful when we had questions about how it worked and what not. Casino didn’t smell like smoke which was great. Hotels connected which if we stayed there would have been great. Definitely would go again

Took a trip to Deadwood in March and they were super busy. They had the parking garage mostly taped off so it was hard to find a spot to park. The staff at the front desk were kind and very helpful. Our room was easy to find but the beds were hard. The pool wasn't easy to find and when we did find it the water was freezing and loaded up with chemicals. I've stayed at worse hotels so it wasn't bad.

This is an awesome place to go. The rooms are outstanding and very clean. We go here a few times a year for a fun mini family trip. We have almost never had a problem with this place. The pool is very nice. During the night it can be crowded but there is almost no one there during the day. This is an amazing place.

My luck on the machines could be better. I wish for more new games often. Why do I play there? The staff are all terrific. They treat each player like we're all top level betters ( I am not), Justine at the players club desk is absolutely the best. She brings new players to Cadillac Jack's and keeps them coming back. Her kind spirit and professional demeanor are reason for loyalty.

After playing there intermittently for about two years, and having a good run over the course of a few weeks, I was asked not to return. Since I don't cheat, the only thing I can surmise, like other reviews here, is that they only want guests who are good at losing. They might as well hang a sign, "Losers Only." Good casinos embrace good players... in fact they fight for their business. Poorly managed casinos show their hand by feeling threatened by them. This is clearly the latter.

Fri at 1240 pm beautiful afternoon. Nowhere was I able to cash in sports book tickets. Cashier says go to the book, they can't do it. Come back in 25 minutes. Sports book area desk closed. Go to the cashier. Guest services/premium member rep says I can't do it right now, go to the cashier. You get the idea and run around. What a circle jerk, complete joke, and unacceptable for a place that calls themselves a premium casino. Also, the spinning wheel and live ball have been removed from the electronic roulette game. That WAS one of the main things I liked about this casino and reasons I used to go here. I suggest trying other casinos and sports books around.

From a world traveler and major gaming traveler this was my FAVORITE location.Resort is perfectly Laid out easy access and little walking Key point .Rooms are luxurious and very clean.there are 3 hotels to choose from double tree by Hilton was Fabulous at all levels.Food was very good Mexican or steak house along with great pizza and sandwiches shop without waiting times.Beautiful Pool and fireplaces out side.Elegance Cleanliness great rooms a casino designed Perfectly Cadillac is certainly the choice to make hands down.Best in the United States and I’ve seen them all.Randy the World Travler you Earnrd a 5 Star Review

Stayed from December 23 to December 26. Casino is very tiny, but clean. A decent variation of machines and table games. 2 bars, plus one in the connecting hotel. Drink prices were reasonable, if you did not want the well free drinks or tiny draft beers. The room was awesome on the 4th floor. Pillow were meh, bed was comfortable, shower was amazing. You can use free play and food and drink credits daily. Bit just once Flyt restaurant was medocire at best. The cheese board was sloppy and weird. Underthe blueberries there were kamala olives. Cheese was decent, meat was chunky and grocery store quality. Drinks were watered down and basic.

Lots of carriages, unfortunately many are behind others and you are not able to appreciate them all. The price of admission is $8/adult which is very reasonable. Large firearm collection and a lot of other history packed into this museum. Well worth the time. Definitely has me interested in attending the Days of '76 event in Deadwood.

This museum walks the visitor through the history of this local area and how the annual "Days of '76” event came to be. It is a museum dedicated primarily to that event, however it does have displays of local Native American items, a nice gun collection, and it describes rodeo events in detail. Additionally, the lower level houses a stagecoach collection

I would give this Museum 10 stars! We enjoyed the vast collection of artifacts that were on display. The museum is in Deadwood South Dakota and they have a festival called “The Days of ‘76 Celebration” which started in 1924 and grew into an annual event with a parade and award winning rodeo. It honors Deadwoods first pioneers of prospectors, miners, muleskinners and madams who poured into the gold-filled gulches in 1876. Stop in and see their museum.

This is a museum about the local parade by the title. Not the actual days of 1876. A wonderful old gun collection. Lots of calibers and shells on display. Lots of rodeo information. The wagons are on the bottom floor and are worth it. Bill Cody's clothes are on display.

While history is my jam, this museum could really use to START with history and THEN lead into how the Days of '76 are the way the town has stayed vibrant and continues to celebrate the past. Starting off with everything being about the Days of 76 celebration really leaves you wondering what you got yourself into for the fee you paid, yet ends up being decent at the very end. Tourists generally do not care about the more recent history.

Walked from our hotel to this museum. Just on the walk there was so many cool things to see and do! Fun and informative place to check out!!

A majority of the museum is devoted to the history of the Days of '76 Rodeo and Parade but there are other sections with Native American artifacts and a quite extensive firearm collection. Once you have gone through all of that on the ground floor, you can go down to the basement where a very nice collection of horse-drawn wagons of all types is located.

Well maintained museum. Well presented exhibits with some hands on interaction included. Great history of Deadwood. The display of early Deadwood horse drawn wagons and utility pieces was worth seeing.

Friendly staff, the helpful lady gave us a map and directions to the cemetery and live short outs downtown so lots to see and do! The room of waggons and carts was great to see. We learned lots about rodeo too, being from England it was really interesting as it's not something we have ever experienced!

We love all kinds of museums and found this very interesting. Mostly about the towns heritage and the annual celebration but that was quite interesting. Especially the years when native Americans couldn’t participate because it had been made illegal for them to wear their own clothing and do their own dances. History- it’s good to know.

Very interesting place. They have many old west guns and horse/mule drawn carriages. Lots of other things, of course, those just particularly stood out for me. Check the bookstore if you have an interest in Deadwood.

Another fine museum in historic Deadwood! This place has all of the different coaches from the late 1800s to the early 1900s when gas cars made their debut. They also go into the history of rodeo in Deadwood, along with more information on Wild Bill and Calamity Jane. We did a trifecta pass which included the Adams house and the Adams Museum for $22, and they give you 3 days to visit all three.

Cool place about the history of the area with exhibits on rodeos, a personal collection, the annual parade, lots of cool stuff and info. A stagecoach collection on a lower level. Small gift shop too. Plenty of parking.

Deadwood is a very historic town and the Days of 76 Museum is full of history. The main focus of the museum is the history of the Days of '76 celebration that takes place every year but includes other history of the area. They have a large and awesome collection of horse drawn buggies, wagons, coaches etc. It is worth every penny and every inute spent here.

I gave it 4stars for the history of the natives they had and for the artifacts and fossils .the wagons were in really good condition too and the guns !! They had lots of old guns ! It was overall pretty cool

Fun place! Don't miss the bottom floor with the carriages! Also the room with all the old style rifles was amazing too!

The outside of the hotel and casino very pretty. Clean and staff very friendly. Wish artwork and furniture more to historic period. Buffet was very good. Such a neat area to visit. Will definitely return. Can not say this place is haunted but our room did have a weird vibe when we got there and I will never sit on the chair that had a mirror and hooks for coats.

Old hotel with alot of history. Room was small. Little TV and no phone. Great for catching a few hours of sleep. There is legends steakhouse on premise. Staff are knowledgeable and polite. The parking was a block and a half away.

The wait for us on a Saturday night was over an hour. Which I understood. What made me give a low rating was the server. It took him about 15 to 20 Mins to get our drinks. When I asked for some silverware we had to wait till we got our drinks. We asked for refills and we didn't get any till we were finished. He even checked to see if I left him a tip which I did.

Ate at the buffet only; no gambling or hotel. Our server was very nice and kept us refilled on drinks and the plates cleaned from the table. The food overall was good and there was a nice selection. I loved the Brussels sprouts casserole. We had plenty of good crab through the whole meal. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. They have a brick oven for the pizza and ironically the pizza on the buffet looked awful. Dried out, burnt and unappetizing. The tables were arranged in such a way that we were very close to the table next to us which happened to have two people who talked way too loud. They were SO annoying after just a few mins. The waiter even commented on them after they thankfully left. We tried a couple of desserts and both were good.

We come to Silverado often. We will not be supporting them anymore! We gambled for almost 2 hours and not 1 free drink, not 1 single waitress, not anything! Wow!!! On a busy weekend really??? Staff your establishment during busy times! Most other casinos are WAY better. We went got the bar to finally get drink and we were charged fir them because we came to the bar. What???? My money spends in other places as well

Did not stay here. Played the casino and tried the restaurant. Good for both those. The games played decently. Staff was friendly. Drink prices were fair but no complimentary when playing. Restaurant gave good portions. Our party enjoyed all the dishes ordered. The gaming floor is a good place to gather and mingle if you visit with a party.

All you can eat crab legs and primerib. Need I say more? My only knock would be the desserts. Nice selection but, for that $$ not quite up to par with the rest of the meal. Highly recommend for a special evening out with friends and or family.

Great place to play and work. Angie in the poker room is knowledgeable and fun. The buffet has a wide variety of good food. Great staff. Bartenders and servers are top notch! Visit the poker room! Tournaments and cash games are so much fun.

While we didn't book a room here, we did go in to spend some money. Wonderful door man that greeted us and then told us about a little breakfast place down the street. We returned later in the evening to spend a little money and drink attendant (Monday 6th) was very prompt and inviting upon coming in. Much appreciated!!

The location and history is really the best thing about this place. There is no AC, it’s loud at night, we could hear the people in the room next to us and above us. Parking was pretty far, but the guy with the golf cart was a life saver! I don’t think we would stay again, but it was a nice start to our family vacation.

Had the crab and prime buffet. Excellent service from the young ladies waitressing. Those girls hustled!! They kept the crab stocked plentiful which was surprising with the amount of people there. Very happy with our experience

I give the service a three because the ladies who helped with luggage were awesome. otherwise, the one at the front desk was not nice. didn't even inform us there was a service available to aide with golf carts for the multi block walk from the parking lot (not onsite parking). we had a 100 dollar added hold on our card for incidentals too. the room looked like a transient hotel. I imagine Richard Speck feeling okay there. The room also did not lock which was the final straw, and thus we did not stay. don't be fooled by the pictures online.

We didn't stay at the hotel here, just enjoyed the casinos and buffet. The food was fantastic and always hot because they brought it out in smaller batches, so it's always really fresh, too. The casinos are set up to be really open, so you're not always sitting right next to a stranger. You've got the Silverado on one side of the street and the Franklin on the other. Very fun place to visit and lots of historic buildings to enjoy. I love the city signs.

Went to have the lunch buffet. Don’t be surprised when you see that it ain’t all that. I wish there was a Golden Corral nearby… it’s a lot better than this. The staff were great, but the food isn’t what you would expect.

Absolutely Breathtaking views!! Absolutely a must see if in the Deadwood area, with such awesome history!! Go check it out!!

The tower itself is the attraction. Climbing the tower is a constricted spiral staircase that requires careful steps ascending and descending the tower. The top offers a nice 360° view, including Bear Butte and Mt Moriah. The historic placards make it an interesting looping trail. Limited parking, but it wasn't an issue on a weeknight.

Nice walk and not far from town. Beautiful fall color and views are great. We go here at least once a year.

Nice short hike. It's a bit uphill but trail is well groomed. Absolutely gorgeous view on e on top. Also dont forget to do the overlook as well.

Nice little drive out of Deadwood for a beautiful view and an interesting bit of local history regarding Seth Bullock and his friendship with Roosevelt.

Would be five if not for the slippage on the road heading to this destination. Took an alternate route (unmaintained) down due to icing. Was alright for us, but someone in a smaller or rear wheel drive vehicle might have had some trouble

Came here early on a cool Sunday morning and took my time to enjoy the area. The paths or trails to reach the monument are well marked and easy to negotiate and the views and nature made the short trek very nice. There are signs along the way so the narrative of the area is well represented. The monument itself is a lot of fun (more so as I was the only one there) and given the history and the motivation of its construction I found it fascinating. Well worth the drive from Deadwood and the time.

This hike was extremely easy and very well maintained. There are some sharp rocks and rocky parts of the trail. Also, going up the tower, the stairs are very steep and skinny, so be extremely careful. But, other than some of the rocks there were great views at the top of the tower and also the lookout area. 100% recommend the lookout area. The fall colors also made this hike extra beautiful! 5/5

Up a gravel road to a small parking lot at the head of a short trail that ends with great views and the fun to explore tower. Worth seeing for sure.

This is a very nice, short hike. (About an hour altogether, that includes hanging out around the tower). Easy hike, good path. Tower is accessible and has great views. Snow on the road leading to the trail, recommend 4x4 for traction. Recommend

I remember coming here as a kid on family road trips. It's a bit of a hike but once you get to the top, there are beautiful views of the surrounding area. The trail is circular and we opted to take a right at the fork on our way up which ended up being the better choice - the way down was a bit steeper and more rocky/tree roots.

Definitely not the chambers fault but frustrated by the lack of dinner options on a monday at 8:00. Every high end dinner place was filled and serving stopped at 9:00. Wait lists exceeded the 9:00. One Restaurant had to close early to prep for the next day. Some were only open on the weekends. Not once did I hear it was a staffing issue.. but perhaps. But we were excited for a night on the town. Mustang Sally’s were the only place in town, many people frustrated by the options. Mustangs tried their best but just not satisfying to everyone. Will think again before planning a night on the town.

I called the Chamber of Commerce to ask questions about Kool Deadwood Nights. The lady who helped me was very nice and professional. She was not only helpful but told me they were happy that we were attending this fabulous activity! We would not miss it. We love Deadwood!

Called this morning. Traveling to Deadwood tomorrow for Car show. Looking for a Black Hills picture in shops. Lady said she hadn't been in any of the shops in a very long time and couldn't help. Hill City Chamber on the other hand was very helpful and gave me several of their shop names from which to make a purchase.

Trolleys passed us twice, no place to camp except parking lot of Days of 76, and by the time we found a place to camp the restaurans were full or stopped serving at 8pm. Highly recommended to not bother stopping in this town. Better places nearby. Definitely not tourist friendly. Do not go here.

Very caring and hardworking staff. Beautiful welcome center facility and large meeting room. Pay particular attention the fact that the chamber has replied to all its negative reviews to solicit specific feedback.

Thank you for the gunfights in the street and the way the cast of characters took care to involve the children. The Chamber also has a wealth of info about the Black Hills.

Average Holiday Inn property. No smoking casino was a nice touch. Food was average and expensive for the quality. Drinks were expensive but it was a concert night. Room was clean and quiet. Pillows were terrible. Great location in Deadwood at the top of the Main Street. Walking distance to most things in town.

Attached parking garage is Handy. Good restaurant. Good Customer Service. I wasn't there to gamble however I left with having a good time and enjoyed myself. Has a great entertainment venue, with a Historical Significance in fact. Several offerings for a smoking area. I like that one of them has a TV. I have spent one night on one other occasion here it was dog friendly, the room was clean, and very private with awesome views! On this trip to Deadwood I did not stay at the Deadwood Mountain Grand I was there only on business, For the cool Deadwood Nights car show and auction.

7/27-28/2023 Hotel signage needs work. Very confusing hotel entrance to lobby situation. Holiday Inn signage not pronounce. Google maps not helpful as it does not make destination clear. Hotel lobby only has one seat per front desk. Two seats would be helpful as most check in with two guests per room. Front desk staff were on their phones.

Free parking garage for guests 5/5 Front desk agent 5/5 Matt greeted me as soon as I walked in to reception and gave exceptional customer service. Felt like we were right at home. Room is nice and comfy to relax after exploring the Black Hills. Thanks Matt for your kindness. You certainly made a great first impression of our visit. Please give this man a raise!

We had a lovely suite on the 4th floor. Since it was a mid week stay off season we paid $50 a night! It was a bargain. We ate at the Mexican restaurant and the pizza joint. Coffee at Starbucks was delicious even though you cannot use the app or points (this is not uncommon in subcontracted locations). We received many discounts for the stay including$15.00 in free casino play. Beautiful landscape in the Black Hills. If we are ever back this way we will be staying here. The gym was above board as well. Please note that you can adjust the temperature in both rooms of the gym, which I would not have known had my husband not pointed it out🙃 They have a screen on the wall offering work outs as well. Hilton has really stepped up their gym game and I am here for it!!

Wow what a fantastic place to stay in Deadwood. Walking distance to everything! Parking ramp available to guests. The hot tub was amazing. It was hot and I had it to myself 3 days in a row. Nice pool. The bar and grill has good food at reasonable prices along with good service in the sports betting area with plenty of TVs and large screens. There is also restaurant seating available. The view out my window was beautiful. House keeping checked on me during my stay. They were remodeling during my stay so there was some noise but I’m still giving it 5 stars because with my ear plugs it didn’t really affect my sleep and the construction workers were very nice gentlemen. The valet/door guys open the doors every time you come or go. 5 star service. I’ll be back.

The best staff. The bartender was awesome. The dealers were awesome. The food was great. Thank you for a great birthday! Would highly recommend this place and will absolutely be revisiting.

Everything is right at your finger tips. Rooms are nice and very clean! Dales restaurant is superb breakfast, lunch & dinner! The card tables are always a good time, they have the friendliest dealers in all of deadwood , and the slot machines are friendly as well!

The rooms are great. The balcony overlooked the town. Parking was easily accessible. The hotel is behind a casino so you have to go through the casino to get to the rooms. If you have a lot of luggage, make sure to get a luggage trolley because you will go across the casino floor and on two elevators. The rooms are quiet. The lobby was nice and smelled like apples and cinnamon. There is a breakfast buffet down in the casino next to the entrance. Also, the entrance to the hotel is easy to miss when entering at night.

Everything here was beyond excellent. Large assortment of games, Beautiful clean nice rooms. Had a wonderful steak tips at Dale's restaurant there, We also had breakfast there the wait staff is incredible in the food very well prepared those cooks know what they're doing. Everything was perfect right down to the young man who was a bartender and waiter and on the ball not to mention a very kind young man. I would suggest anybody stay here be sure and plan a meal at the restaurant it doesn't get any better than this.

Used to love this place. Six Strings was a FANTASTIC place to eat with incredible offerings. Now they have just another average, overpriced burger joint. Lack of machines which is apparent during peak hours and if you want to order a drink good luck finding staff to take your order and even better luck getting it within the hour. Be aware if you plan to visit for a show the seating is VERY tight. They use locking hard plastic chairs which snap together with no arm rests so you are smashed against your neighbors on all sides.

Unique hotel. Enter in lower level casino; then, a short walk to hotel elevators since it's built into a hill. Room was large, and modern. Prepay breakfast and you order off the regular menu. People at the front desk very personable. Will definitely stay here again the next time we're in the area.

This really is a 5 star hotel, I had to bump it down one though because the pool was out of commission when we were there and that was a bummer for my kids since there are limited things at night in Deadwood that are kid friendly. They provided alternatives, rec center and the Holiday Inn Express pool, but nothing we were interested in. So I give 4 stars but I will 100% be back and we definitely recommend this hotel.

will never go back. a friend of mine got deployment news (and was obviously upset) not being ridiculous or rude in any way but had started crying and was cut off for crying (not bawling or being a bother) but hugging a friend and shedding a few tears. and the bar staff had said upper management had cut him off because he was crying. i just think that someone serving for our country deserves better treatment then what was given by this place. i mean he are fighting for us and doing a duty no one there could imagine. he deserves better. our soldiers deserve better.

Stayed a couple of nights here while visiting the area and was underwhelmed. Small things added up like trying to find the parking garage which google maps was having none of. Once figured out, no issues. Then walking into casino and being pointed to registration, you have to take an elevator to the lobby. Not a big deal, but that's not the main set of elevators. You have to use another set to get to your room. So, two different elevators from room to exit! At the front desk, and for the entire stay, there were VERY unengaged employees. Not welcoming in any way. This was our first IHG stay having attained Platinum elite status and we were rewarded with a horrible room location staring out at the roof of the casino. The room was clean and comfortable, but that was the only plus of this stay. Not sure if I would stay here again, next time in Deadwood.

I had a room booked for one night. My engine on my car blew up so I couldn’t make it and had to cancel my room. The rate for my room was $112. They said they would still have to charge me for the room and that was fine. But I got charged $260. They explained they charged a $50 dollar fee that is getting refunded. Still doesn’t explain the $148 dollar difference. So unhappy I have to deal with not having a vehicle and a really crabby lady on the phone as I’m trying to explain 148 extra isn’t a 50 dollar fee. Will never stay here again.

This was a really great hotel with an amazing view from our room. We got a top floor suite, which was fabulous, and had a nice privacy deck for my wife and I to enjoy. The room was spacious and had a nice electric fireplace. It was a great one night getaway, and it has been one of our favorite hotels in Deadwood.

Great hotel. Clean, comfortable, convenient. Nice casino and bar. Only complaint is the door man at the entrance. Friendly, but I don't like that sort of thing because it makes you feel obligated to throw them a few bucks just for saying "hello". Awkward!

Ate a grill cheese sandwich for $12 which was horrible. It was made with gumball size mozzarella balls which did not even cover the toasted wonder bread. You should be embarrassed to serve this. I should have sent it back. On a positive note the onion rings were good. Did not stay in a room. That score was from past stays.

Beautiful rooms you have to see with the recent updates! We had a balcony room and it was beautiful, everything was perfectly set and CLEAN! Wonderful staff to answer questions you might have and this hotel is pet friendly!

Front desk staff DO NOT CARE, nor do they communicate with guests that check-in may be delayed. If you let guests know they are able to check in on time then they would be happy. No communication regarding the late check-ins due to staff being sick could have been communicated at 12:20pm when we arrived on the property but were told check-in is at 3:00pm. We arrived at the hotel desk at 3:00 and were told it wasn’t ready. We checked in at 3:30pm. The lady offered us free breakfast and we told her we wouldn’t be eating there and she said “if you use it, you use it, if you don’t you don’t. My husband even said that we wouldn’t be eating downstairs. The casino staff and valet were great. Rating is all about the front desk clerks. Poor customer service - yes I have worked in a few m/hotels and worked the front desk. We were always told to be honest with the customers and they would be appreciative. This is an accurate training suggestion.

Had a great stay, right on main street which is great for walking around up town. Room rate was very good and it was nice and clean. The staff treated us awesome. Had two meals in their Gem restaurant and they were very good as well. Would stay again with them.

You can hear snoring, movement, everything through the walls. You can smell smoke through the halls. Hung the service room sign for the day, but that didn't happen. No fridge or microwave. Had to fix the window so it would *close* (below 50 degrees for an overnight temperature), and explain to the staff how to do it again if necessary because their response was, "I don't know. I can look at it, but we don't have maintenance on tonight." Large room and bed. It is located right in downtown.

They didn't have our correct reservation on file, even though we made the reservation for an accessible room 4 months in advance. Booking confirmation reminder sent by them a week before stay also was for an accessible room as one of the individuals staying used a wheelchair. Once arrived, they said they didn't have an accessible room remaining and had changed our room. They stated it was on the 3rd floor, problem was the elevator was out of service. They checked with maintenance and was told, "it should work". Well, we got trapped in the elevator once on our way to breakfast. After not having the proper reservation and being stuck in the elevator, there STILL was no discount, free/discount meal, casino match play, anything. They were generous enough to give us a rubber duck with their logo on it as a gift (a gift they normally sell for $5). The GEM Steakhouse on-sight was good. The casino was adequate and fun. They front staff wasn't the friendliest. The bar, casino and steakhouse staff was great to deal with. Overall, we would not recommend any of our friends, family or acquaintances to stay here. Amenities were dated and things seemed patched together.

Everytime I visit the same bartender always cuts me off from the bar after serving me like 1-2 drinks, this happened last night as well as a few other stays. I've never caused any problems, I enjoy the location however I can't help but leave with a bad taste in my mouth when instances such as this occur

I was somewhat surprised my room was not ready at 4:40 when checkin is listed at 3:00. Friendly staff and the building has had a total face-lift and upgrade since my last B.C. visits. There has been huge changes from the home style atmosphere of days past. The whole street is more little Vegas vs old west boom town. The world marches on I suppose. I would stay here again.

It had nice gambling areas and gave out the drinks while gambling. Christian was by far the biggest helper to us while there. Even before we walked into the motel to check in, he turned, smiled and waved at from our car. When we came he he talked to us and had us go and get checked in and then come back to sign us for being player members. He was very kind and told us all about the casino areas. Thanks Christian! Dinner upstairs was good. It was an average motel room set up, and your little Mineral Palace duck is on the shower ledge waiting for you. By far, Christin made us feel welcome.

Room was on street so got some of the noise. Restaurant food wasn't very good, dinner service was good, morning service was BAD. Girl sat us brought us drinks, sat 6 people, served their drinks and took their order! She never came to us for our order so we paid for one juice and left. Check in is at 3...2 clerks said room wasn't ready. Went back at 4 and waited 30 minutes for 1 clerk to check in a line of people. Probably won't return. Only efficient person was the valet that showed us where to park.

Great place to stop in and try your luck at some slots. Has a great atmosphere and a friendly staff. Highly recommend l.

Great to be able to sleep, grab food, have a drink, and (not me but my friends) gamble all in the same building. Clean room and staff. Valet parking is a huge plus since there isn’t much for parking in Deadwood.

Our stay was terrible. Check out is at 11am and check in is 3pm. Our room wasn’t ready until 6pm and we got no kind of reimbursement at all. I have stayed in deadwood many times and would not recommend this place. I would recommend a VRBO before ever staying at this hotel. Terrible costumer service and not impressed at all.

Loved the Hotel the location and the room. Can't recommend the Gem for dinner, service was fine but food very average.

The room and casino were fine, but the folks at Mineral Palace just expect you to know how to go about parking. There are no instructions before you arrive, so when I parked in the lot marked "Mineral Palace" before checking in, the workers looked at me like I had two heads. Apparently that lot is just for the valet service, but how someone who has never stayed there before is supposed to know that, I have no idea. Given that and everything else about the place, I was not impressed.

Didn't stay at the hotel. Just went to play the slot machines. Stay in town for a couple of days for sight seeing. Thought I would like to play the slots. I really had a fun time. Must have played about a dozen different machines. They have a very different selection of machines both old and new.

Rooms very dated but mostly clean, TV small, dark, the chocolates are appreciated but stay out of my room if you're not going to do housekeeping. Seriously, I asked daily for fresh towels; I had to go to the front desk to get some. Even put the door hanger on asking for room service too, I stayed 4 nights and didn't have housekeeping but they made sure my "turndown" service was done nightly (aka throwing some chocolates in the room). Overall would I stay again if this was again the only other affordable option in town at the time? Yeah probably, it wasn't that bad but overall disappointing.

Nice clean room and very quiet. Allowed service dog and no questions asked. Also, parking available off site if you have a trailer or RV and they have free shuttle! Worth it. One minute walk to all the sites downtown.

Rooms and amenities are all very, very dated. The TV screen is about the size of a laptop monitor. Our room door would not close, maintenance couldn’t fix it, told us to slam the door to shut it?!?! AC didn’t stay on, elevator was broken 3 out of 4 days. Most of the staff was friendly. Good central location.

The all you can eat crab N' prime rib was fair at best. The crab was very dry and tasteless. The prime rib was cold and chewy. It was my first try at their all you can eat crab n' prime rib. I have had All the others in town, and this was by far the most dry, poor taste, and chewy buffet I have had. What a shame. I won't try it again, waste of my hard earned money. Beware if your gonna try it.

Why? Well my husband love to eat here and me too breakfast food is amazing and delicious coffee is okay waitress kind and nice all the times but ttoday Jan 29 2023 us the SECOND time the lady on front show a very disgusting attitude talking and acting "bossy" throwing the cutlery and menus at the table that didn't even ask us if we would like to sit there I really don't care is she's the boss or the owner or whatever. I've been working in the food service business for more than 20 years back in San Antonio (my hometown) and now I have a food Truck in Gordon, Nebraska and well I never treat people like that. We change to another table we're we feel more comfortable. I've been Manager of a friend peruvian estaurant in Maryland, but also I used to work as a waitress, dishwasher, bussgirl, kitchen manager, cook manager. Just a reminder you don't have to come to work showing that attitude to others. That's NOT nice oh and we always tip.

Takes the cake for worst buffet I’ve ever been to. Woman running buffet charged us for our 1 year old, so we paid an extra $40 (which is outrageous for the quality and quantity of food). The crab was overcooked and the prime rib was under seasoned. The restaurant itself is so outdated and unsanitary. They served instant mashed potatoes and frozen vegetables. the desserts were dry and the ice cream machine was broken. I could’ve went literally anywhere else and gotten two meals for the price of the Buffet and come out more satisfied

Our rooms were wonderful the food was great the wait staff for the restaurant was fantastic. Don't plan to sit at the bar and play games if you want to Have adrink it's pretty hard to get that gal Off a Bar stool and away from her Phone.

I came down on a fun bus from Bismarck/Mandan ND I had a great time there, food was great and the service was great also. Everyone was very friendly and made my time there alot of fun 🙃😎😊❤

This casino is pretty far from main street and one of the smaller ones. I've never had much luck here, but I've seen people win some pretty decent money. They have a poker and blackjack table. One of each. Variety of machines and have different betting levels. This is one of the quieter places so I enjoy coming here after a night of shenanigans. They also have a restaurant here!

Came here to eat breakfast/brunch. Last time we were in town we noticed the all day breakfast sign, so tried it out this time. Took 10 minutes for us to even get noticed by a hostess to get a table. Waitress came right away when we sat down and didn't ask what we wanted to drink and didn't ask us if we were ready to order, but said "what do you want to eat?" We ordered our drinks, but said we needed time to look at the menu. Was disappointed in their limited menu options during Days of 76 and Sturgis. My husband tried ordering the Omlet and she said they cant do that even though it was listed as an option and had a picture, but she said the only eggs they can do is scrambled. Both me and my husband's breakfast plate had more potatoes as a side dish then the actual main dish. Waitress never came back once to check on us. Not to even give us the check. We waited for over 15 minutes after someone came and took our plates away and never got it so we went up to the counter and asked the hostess/cashier.

I stopped in here to check out the Cafe trying to find quality biscuits and gravey....found it. It is dated but it's clean and happens to serve the best biscuits and gravey that I have found in the Black Hills yet! Service is spectacular and the food comes out fast.

Just had the buffet this past weekend, everything was cold! And we got there at 4:10. The prime rib was blah no flavor at all. Not much to a salad bar, or even more selections of food. Was not worth the $85 for two of us

I loved this little place. I cannot rate the rooms, as did not stay. The prime rib is delicious! 7-8 rooms of casino game fun to match your desires! We return here yearly for the prime rib and loose slots! Always win here!

Small but good variety of slot machines. Room was quiet and comfortable .. after we found comforter.. in drawer under the bed!! Sufficient breakfast.

Service was great. Parking was plentiful, which during a big event was surprising. Uptown was stupid- whole depot parking lot was empty for bikes. First good wins again.

Staying next door and after a long day of traveling decided to grab something close and gamble a bit. Three of us dining, two had steaks and I had the crab. Waitress didn’t bring out the food, two kids did. Actually never saw the waitress at our table again, but I could see her standing in the back. Anyway, food came out and it was good, nothing to brag about but good. Crab crackers would have helped with ease of eating. Asked the buser for some, but English wasn’t her native language and I got ice water, which I was thankful for since I never got my drink. Oh, and crab is served with butter flavored oil not butter, the stuff used on popcorn. That was gross. Slots are super tight, casino very small.

I used to go to their lunch buffet several years ago as often as I could. The food was always amazing and the service was wonderful too. Every day they had different themes, my favorite was their Mexican themed day. I was so sad to hear when they discontinued that and I’m still hoping they’ll bring it back one day. 🤞🏼 Pleaseeeeeee! 🥺

Stayed here for the first time over Deadweird weekend. Clean & comfortable rooms at a great price! Casino had an awesome variety of machines and staff was friendly. Breakfast at the restaurant was good too. Will definitely be staying here again!

Had the breakfast burrito with sausage gravy, pancakes, eggs, and hashbrowns. The food was all good, but the breakfast burrito was great.

Stopped by for Breakfast after church on 1 Oct 2023. It wasn’t very busy at the time. No hostess, so the man clearing tables seated us and got us water. We waited 20 minutes and no waitress to take our order. Other people came in 10 minutes after us and had their order taken right away. We were seated at table 19 by the restaurant entrance, so it wasn’t hard to see that we still had our menus on the table and hadn’t ordered. The waitress kept telling everyone that the Hostess didn’t show up, so they were behind. She told us she would be with us soon, but after waiting 20 minutes, we got up and left. We won’t be back.

Clean, comfortable rooms. A bit far from historic main Street deadwood, but a walk that is very manageable! Great bar and bar prices! Wonderful breakfast in the morning! Only complaint is the food didn't all come out at once.. I was almost done before the final plate was brought out.

The breakfast burger is outstanding. The breakfast burrito is great as well. Will definitely est there again.

The place was so dead, I thought I was in a morgue. No cocktail waitress the 2 hours I spent there. $10 minimum bet for black jack. Dealer had little personality. If you want business, you need to lower minimum bets and have better service. Disappointing!

This was the last time I’ll spend a penny with the gold dust in deadwood. Had a staff member with hope tattooed on her back card me with attitude after I declined a drink after just sitting down and putting my players card in. I don’t need attitude from wait staff while I am trying to have a good time gambling because I don’t wish to make use of their services. I immediately cashed out and returned my players card. There are far better casinos on Main Street with wait staff that provide good service attitude free.

This establishment just took me for two to three hundered dollars, I was up to around $400 and I went to the bath room, when I came back I was down to .40. I called management over and they acted like it was my fault my machine broke down. After getting into it with the manager and another associate I just asked for them to take my information and let me leave. I know I’ll never see my money from these people and it’s A lesson learned. Do not go here! This woman and another man couldn’t even retrieve the information from the machine. Ken and his people are crooks.

Its ok place don't really recommend some of the gaming machines are older and weren't working well the bartender wasn't very friendly wanted to watch the basketball game she acted like it was a hindrance to put the game on . So yah don't recommend going here ..

Big casino. Lots if new games lots of old games. Never won anything here. Never got a drink while playing and some staff were a little rude.

We love going to the Maverick steak house and having dinner and drinks on Friday nights. Staff are friendly and make sure everything is well with our dinner.

Absolutely love this place, great gambling, the restaurant upstairs is phenomenal

Worst service in the casinos I visited at Deadwood. Probably the only casino where you need to pay for drinks. When I paid for the drinks (didn't have change, so paid 50$ for bill of 11$), the waitress has returned the money after taking the tip without asking. The dealers at blackjack are without emotions and were not friendly. Would never visit this again.

Newer remodeled casino. Great place to gamble and have a cold drink while staying cool in the cold AC.

Walked in and sat down and tried to hand the dealer my ID. He got extremely offended at this because he wanted it placed on the table (I had no way of knowing this). So I placed it on the table and he continued to grill me for not starting off by putting it on the table. So I asked him to just read the card so I could play. The banker then comes up behind him and actually defends the dealer, and immediately tells me to leave and accuses me of being disrespectful and swearing at the dealer. He started swearing at me quite a bit as well. So I get up and leave and as I’m on my way out the banker calls security on me. My buddy with me said he has been playing blackjack for years and has never seen anything like that in his life.

Great hotel right in old downtown. The staff were wonderful. They were helpful and genuinely friendly. The room was beautiful. My only comment would be to upgrade the refrigerators in the room. The very small cube was not really big enough for our 4 night stay.

Sports book is bad, asked to get game over speakers and said no, then asked to get 1 game on tv which was only game on And said general manager was the only person to change tv and wouldn't get ahold of them

Staff were extremely rude. There are many other places in Deadwood that offer similar experiences with better staff. Do not choose Gold Dust.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Deadwood. The food is amazing and the staff are incredible.

The food at Tin Lizzy's was good, but the management’s billing tactics feel clearly and knowingly deceptive. The menu claims that all prices include taxes, yet patrons are consistently surprised with a. service charge that we were told is a "resort fee" and additional tax charges that are nowhere disclosed upfront. This deliberate lack of transparency in pricing undermines trust and could potentially breach state consumer protection laws. The staff was aware when we brought it to their attention. Patrons are encouraged to scrutinize their bills and question any undisclosed fees. Transparent and honest dealings by management are essential to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.

My review is for the T Grille. I'm on the 24th day of my road trip and this was by far my worst dining experience. Once I was seated I waited about 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. I watched people seated after me get their drinks and soup and salad bar. I finally got someone to come over and he was pretty rude. Placed my order and went up to the soup bar. There were six choices that covered a wood spectrum but the ones I tried had little flavor. The lettuce was turning brown and the rolls were not fresh. My pasta dish came and there was no flavor from the Cajun chicken. The chocked seemed to be a processed product. The waiter then came over and dropped the bill on the table, muttered some canned phrase and walked off. Strangely he seemed to interact well with other patrons. Oh well the tip was commensurate with the service.

I've been gaming at this establishment for about a year now. I've noticed that the slot machines have gotten considerably tighter in regards to the payback especially in the high stakes room. It's like someone turned the switch off. I know that slot machines are the cash cow for every casino but this place has gotten ridiculous. I'll take my money elsewhere moving forward.

I wish I could put less than one but I can’t. Worst casino staff I have ever seen. The dealers are good but the pit staff at night is the most horrible underdressed, unprofessional I have ever seen. Save your money and go to the Franklin.

My wife and i went there in 2019 what a great place to take you back in time. gunslingers and gunfights in the street so much fun , I will revisit this wonderful place again

So disappointed. Went out of our way to come visit deadwood on a road trip. Checked in on our way through on a Tuesday. Although it is advertised everywhere they are open until 2am, they refused to open tables. We were not able to play Black Jack- the only game we are interested in (even though it is WIDELY advertised as available). We also chose specifically to stay in the Tin Lizzie hotel for the access to the Promoted Black Jack tables (supposedly available every night). Couldn’t be more disappointed. What a complete waste of money. 0 stars.

Terrible experience! Terrible customer service! Heidi at the front desk was rude on the phone before I even got to the hotel. Asked for an early check in.. due to the weather, my boyfriend was stranded on the side of the road in his truck overnight. All he wanted was a hot shower. However they didn’t accommodate that at all. Apparently every single room (double Queen standard room..) wasn’t available until check in. Said they would call if anything became available before. No call. Maybe they should have called and offered a different type of room and a different charge that was available. I think she just forgot or straight up didn’t care. he sat outside in the parking lot and watched people hauling in their luggage for two hours straight prior to check in. That night some drunk was hollering around in the hall and kicking his door screaming “let me in”. Trouble in paradise I guess. Fast forward to early hours of the morning.. something was banging around outside for hours. Vacation? Ha. Still was up at 5am. Checked out a day early due to the noise. Noticed the day after I checked out that I was charged too much and inquired and kyra told me it was a deposit fee that would be returned. Did some further looking and it definitely wasn’t a deposit, I was overcharged for my room. Again I contacted the hotel and spoke with this Heidi lady. Who said I’ll look at the reservation and see what I can do. Two hours go by and no word. So I call to speak to the manager and she won’t let me speak to him without telling her my name and what I need to speak to him about. As if it’s her business. Again.. extremely rude. Not to mention she failed to get back to me just like she failed to call about any open rooms. She tells me he’s aware of the situation and will take care of it. Finally after being able to speak to the general manager.. it seems he puts blame on anything and everyone but his staff or himself. Booking made the error. And my exhausted boyfriend could have came into the warm casino. (Eye roll) because apparently everyone has extra money to throw away when all they really want is a bed and a hot shower. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at when it comes to customer service. We frequent deadwood several times a year. Will never return.

The filthiest hotel bathroom I’ve ever encountered. It wasn’t just not cleaned for us, it had accumulated that way for a while. Two requests for it to be serviced in our three day stay never resulted in any action. We were comped $20 in the casino (side note, that card never worked…) I’m sure they’ll respond to this review like the rest, and ask for another chance, but that’s a hard no. Take your vacation somewhere else.
