A UNESCO world heritage site, it's well cared for and staff is available to answer questions as well as an introductory video explaining how the hill and fortress was important to the early days of colonization of St Kitts by the French and English. This is a must see while here. There is a charge for admission but well worth it. Views are breathtaking!

If you like history, you should visit. Be forewarned the walk up is a good climb, and once inside, be cautious when climbing up and looking around - this historic side does not have railings or fences so a misstep could lead to a fall. There is work going on, but the history is definitely interesting. And the views from the fort are amazing. Well worth a visit.

Over 300 years and still standing, this is a must see. Stunning views. These walls were sadly built by enslaved Africans under strenuous conditions. 😥 There’s also a souvenir shop. I highly recommend this place. Must pay entry fee in cash. $15 USD per person. This place is definitely worth visiting.

A must see when visiting the island, it is apart of the rich history and the views are to die for. Make sure to visit with a friend so you can enjoy every inch of the fort.

Beautiful picturesque view point, you need a good guide that can truly drive to navigate the sharp turns. There is a canteen at the top to enjoy a snack and drink. Souvenir shop run by an ex-British couple and orientation room with a video of the history. Within the Fort there are museum rooms to learn about the history. It's a nice highlight when travelling around the island

It’s a very windy road up to the top. But it’s worth it the beautiful scenery is breathtaking. It’s my second visit and it still amazes me. You watch a short video before walking around staking in the history of the fortress. We visited on. Very hot day in September so couldn’t stay too long in the heat. Had a good time visiting. The views are amazing! Be ready for some climbing after your bus gets you here. Lots of steps in the fort. I can see why the British and French fought over the location. Definitely worth fitting into your schedule.

So far the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in the country. Well worth the time and money. Lots of history from where the island was a British Colony... structures and gardens are amazingly well preserved. And on top of all that, the views are spectacular!

A must see for history buffs and anyone visiting St. Kitts that is interested in understanding European occupation of the island. The Fort is well maintained and lives up to its name: constructed largely of volcanic stone. Views of the island from this high point are amazing and camera worthy. Those who have difficulty walking or are wheelchair dependent need to note the climb to the fort is steep and long. There is a souvenir shop here for those looking for a remeberance to take home.

This fort is stunning. The restoration is incredibly well done. I've seen alot of old forts but this one is the best. They still have the cannons in place! The view from there is the best on the island and better than most of the Caribbean islands. It is well maintained and clean. Highly recommend the trip out there. The road up there is challenging, I wouldn't drive myself, take a tour. Sharp turns, extremely narrow entrance and narrow road.

Well maintained fortress, the place is larger than I thought. $25 USD entrance fee, kinda pricey but supports a good cause. A lot of information on site, great place to spend the day with ocean breeze and perfect views!!!

Such a beautiful place with so much history. We went by taxi and were able to walk all over the park and enjoy the gorgeous views. All the employees were so nice and I loved the local crafts that were available at the gift shop.

This was an amazing fortress that you just must see in St Kitts. I really enjoyed it. Try to go on a day when it's not too sunny, because it's all in the open with little shade. Definitely go up to the top and look out at the ocean and neighboring islands.

Good place to learn about the history of the island though most of it seems to have been taken straight from Wikipedia (or is it the other way around). The guide was funny but reduced the history of the naval forces to three centuries of drunkenness. Best part? The view!

The fortress was much larger than I expected. Although it has not been 100% fully restored, enough was completed that you can get a sense of what it looked like. Several rooms have historical displays (it is a museum). I also learned that the famous view online can be rented for events, like the wedding when I went. Well worth the excursion.

The beach is open to peddlers. I was asked if I wanted a massage or my hair braided 5x in two hours. The fresh water showers didn't work. Rented a chair beside a nice UK family. They got so aggravated that they left and gave me their umbrella. Staff came by 30 minutes later and yanked it and said I would have to pay for it. The little fish in the water and view was the only nice thing about this place. I was on the left side of the beach if you're facing the ocean. The right side of the beach looked more professional.

Great beach, no seaweed, quiet one end traditional Reggie bar the other popular with visitors!

We visited but didn't hang out here. It's a long sandy beach, very hot with a gentle breeze when we were there. Sting rays in the water so we decided against swimming, but plenty of other folks did so safely. Lots of beer bars and a restaurant to choose from. Perfect place to just relax in the sun under a (paid for) umbrella. Lots of garbage strewn about on the other side of the bars.

Conk Shells everywhere!! Bring snorkels to find good ones. We paid $20 for 2 chairs and an umbrella, but found out later, we could talk them down to $10. We were only there an hour and a half, and $10 was more reasonable

Nice beach, little bit dying though. The best bar is at the far left end. You can do a bit snorkling. We saw some fish, ray and sea turtle. If looking for calm place, much better for snorkling is close by Mayors bay with old ship wreck.

Really cool beach. Not too big and not too crowded. It was a little windy when we were there today. Water is clean and clear. We paid $10 for umbrella and 2 chairs. Beers at $3. We enjoyed it. I would take the farthest side since the tide is calmer and less wind. There are jet ski rentals available.

This beach is absolutely stunning. The water is clean, clear and refreshing. You also get a very nice view of Nevis.

Absolutely lovely site (mansion) for this business. The height of our visit to St Kitts. Bought a shirt which was yeah, a tad pricey, but very well made, unique, very light cotton for tropical environment (I'm from Florida) and very happy to support the local island commerce.

The grounds at this former estate are perfectly manicured and well worth the visit. They also have beautiful hand made batiks made into all sorts of clothing and other wares.

The grounds are amazingly beautiful. Great for photo ops. There is a small entrance fee (I don't remember how much), but it's worth it. Learn a little about the history of St. Kitts and Nevis, sit and have a drink, and enjoy the scenery. Get there early before the crowds. especially if there's a cruise ship in port.

When we got here at 4pm it was already closed, very disappointed. But we were still able to see part of the grounds and it was beautiful. Lots of great photo ops, but we didn't stay. I wish I had taken a panoramic video. We will definitely come back when it's open.

Beautiful wearable and traditional works of art displayed in a historical manor and lush gardens. Artists demonstrate how their skills are used to make these vividly colored prints. The gardens and surrounding grounds are just as colorful. Small entrance fee well worth the price.

Absolutely beautiful. The gardens are stunning, the batik is amazing and colorful, the selection is impressive, and I loved watching works out art being created! The staff were lovely, so engaging. Can't wait to come back!

So this was my wife and daughters favorite star. It had a beautiful location, wonderfully nice people and a very interesting demonstration on how they make their products when you get there. They say they charge admission but they didn’t. When you get there you walk through these beautiful grounds with flowers and beautiful views of the water. This is a must do for Saint kits. It is not cheap but the products are well worth their while. My wife has worn their outfits every day which since we arrive. They only sell their stuff at their main store which is this location and one near the port where the cruise ships come in. But this is the big store where they do the demonstration. It is a must see! Bring your wallet. The colors of their fabric are very vibrant. And we wash them while we were here at our room and they wash very nicely. They get softer the more you wash them.

My wife and I along with some friends were part of this excursion package when we arrived on the island with the Celebrity Cruise ship Silhouette on January 7, 2024. We were fortunate enough to have Greg as our driver, and our group was 7 people total in the Land Rover. The ride was smooth, and when we had to get out and walk it was easy on the foot paths, etc. The tour of the island, history and movement up towards the mountains was beautiful and enlightening, and I wasn't aware that sugar was the main export for many many years. I believe Greg mentioned he was 7th generation on the island, therefore the island runs deep in his blood. His passion for the people, the island and the culture is evident when you see other locals greeting him with smiles, small talk and laughter that can't be faked by any means. Our trip back down out of the mountains towards Nevis and the beaches was a different route so you can take in more of the island. The views were incredible, any questions you have he was willing to answer and explain clearly and concise. The trip is highly recommended if you can book the excursion with the ship/cruise line if that's your means of arrival. If you fly in for an extended vacation stay please look him up prior to your visit to make sure you don't miss out on a lovely trip around the beautiful island. We took a private tour with Greg. It was awesome. We drove from sea to mountains touring through many local villages. Got to see flora and fauna plus historic sites. Would highly recommend if you want an off the beaten path experience.

Gregg's gives the best island experience . Do not visit without taking a 4x4 tour. I came away learning so much of the islands rich history. Lots of blood,sweat and tears to make this place. The locals are incredibly friendly and you should be too. Gregg's safari tour is a must do in St. 🇰🇳 Kitts!

Great tour up to the rain forest and lovely views of the island and it's beautiful beaches. Knowledgeable guides. The only let down is the selection of beach at the end, I'm guessing there is an affiliation to the bar?

We took Greg’s Safaris from an excursion offered by our cruise ship. Jeeps were clean and the drivers very pleasant and professional. Took us to a plantation situated 1000 feet above sea level that they claim were the only tour company to be able to offer us that view. Enjoyed the tour

My son and I went on the tour as part of an excursion from our cruise. We very much enjoyed the ride through the island as well see some beautiful views of the island from two locations. We stopped by the beach for time to swim before returning to the port.

What a wonderful trip we had during our cruise stop to St Kitts! Greg was super knowledgeable and made the experience a memorable one! So wonderful getting to know about all things local. This tour had it all! You visit the mountains, rainforest and beach. Definitely recommend this 3 1/2 hour tour for everyone! Great for families!

I recently took a tour with Greg's Safaris as a shore excursion on a Royal Caribbean cruise. This for my wife and I was the highlight of the cruise. Our driver "Preacher" was so knowledgeable about everything on the tour from local plants, government, schools, and industry. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

February 2023 tour as part of shore excursion on Celebrity cruise. Willmon, our driver, has lived in St Kitts his whole life and was very knowledgeable about the island, it's history, people, plants, and animals. The tour highlights are visiting the rain forest and an old sugar plantation overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on one side and Caribbean on the other. The drive in an open air Range Rover is fun and the tour ends with a 30 minute stop at the beach.

The reviews giving this ride anything less than 4 stars are being way too critical. Is the train ride bumpy? Yes, it’s a 100 year old railroad, taking you through the countryside. Are there branches? Yes, the railroad path was hand cut by manual labor and vegetation is often close to the carts. Are there dancers? Yes, for just a couple minutes, and they didn’t “hound us for tips”. They were polite and respectful and shared an important part of Kittesian culture with us. Is there coal smoke? Yes, but you barely notice it, because a pleasant wind usually comes off the Atlantic, blowing it away from you. It’s a fun ride that takes you into nature, with friendly staff, yummy drinks, with panoramic views of the ocean, lots of views of farm animals, and a nice breeze. Jump on board, learn a bit about history, take in the views, and enjoy. The morning tours are usually less busy than the afternoon tours, so if you have a preference for avoiding crowds, show up for the 9am morning tour. Definitely recommend this tour, don’t let the other reviewers convince you otherwise.

Took the scenic railway as an excursion while on a cruise. We had a great time and sat at the upper section of the 2 level train car. The views of the mountains and beaches were beautiful. Our guide told us the history of the train that was used in the sugar plantations. We were served drinks with rum. Two men dressed in colorful costumes danced while the train moved. It was a fun ride.

Had an awesome morning taking the scenic railway! There was a very nice breeze so went up to the top deck and it did not disappoint. It is very pretty and I learned a lot about the island. Would absolutely do this again.

Good views and a good introduction to st. Kitts history. Frozen drinks were tasty, rum and rum punch not so much. A bit expensive for what you get. Only shows half the island then it's a bus ride back to the station/cruise ship depending on where you want to be dropped off.

We left on time, and the first half of the tour was by bus. Our driver was related a wealth of historical facts about the island as we drove through different towns. Once we disembarked, we're waiting for the train. Bathrooms were decent/clean. The train took us around the other side of the island as our hostess served us with rum- based cocktails. My husband and I had a good time.

What a great little train ride. We saw all kinds of scenic stuff. The tracks followed the coast line for 18 miles. Then we got on board a bus ride the rest of the way back to the ship nice little villages along the way well worth it.

It is sold as providing a seat in the open air top and also in the closed, windowed car below that you can move back and forth between. They admitted to overbooking and that is an understatement. When we arrived as many as could possibly squeeze into the top was already there and we were forced to sit below without any refund or discount, paying the same amount as those up top. Much of the time, albeit not all of the time, the view was of tall grass and shrubs but we got to listen to the guide's description of what the people above could see. We got to pass the time killing the multitude of mosquitoes that liked the inside cab. We still did get served drinks by a less than enthusiastic server so it earned a 2nd star for still providing the drinks as promised. Once the announcement was made advising people it was their last chance to use the restroom I did get to sit in someone else's seat up top for a bit. If they were upfront about their booking practices and didn't make promises they didn't intend to fulfill, it would allow customers to make a more informed choice and there'd be no issue.

Great way to see a big part of the island of Saint Kitts in about 3 hours. The train runs from the north along the northeast coast only, but you get beautiful views of the old sugar plantations, pass through villages, go right along the Atlantic Ocean and have excellent views of Sint Eustatius island as well. You also cross 3 or 4 bridges along the route. The western part of the island is done on a small bus with commentary by the driver. Complimentary mango daiquiris and piña coladas (water, sodas, too) on the train are a nice touch. It was a bit expensive ($79 USD when I went) and "touristy," but as a fan of any and all forms of rail travel, I was happy to support it, and I enjoyed my time. I went on July 7, 2023, and all the wagons except the first one were filled with local children and their teachers from St. Kitts day cares and primary schools. Nice to see them enjoying their island's beauty. The front car was for independent travelers, and there were only about 12 people, so there was lots of space. But I could see how it would be bad if overcrowded with folks from cruise ships. If traveling independently like me, just contact them via their website to check for upcoming dates and make your booking. You can pay the morning before you depart at the train station (next to the airport). American Express accepted as well as all other major credit cards .

Took the train ride as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise - excursion. The bus driver that picked us up at the terminal called herself “Peace & Love” and she was wonderful!!! The train ride was a bit shakey from side-side but, it’s an older train and added to the experience! The workers were very attentive and we were never without a drink in hand if we wanted it! The views were great and I swear every single person who saw the train waiver…it did not matter their age, they stopped what they were doing and waived to the train! This is well worth doing and I strongly encourage you try it!

We loved the train excursion seeing the island even though it rained during the trip. Dancers on train showed little of the traditional dances and the cocktales were delicious. Train guide did wonderful job talking about island & its people.

A really great trip and excellent value for money. The bus ride to get there was quite short which was nice and the return journey was longer but you got to see more of the island with the driver giving you commentary on why you were seeing, our driver was very entertaining. The train journey was quite long but enjoyable, we sat upstairs and you were offered a number of drinks that were included in the price. The rum punch was very decent!! The tour guide was very knowledgable and kept you entertained on most of the journey and some dancers also joined a couple of times to do some short dances for you.

Overall, a great experience and absolutely worth the price of admission. A few small negative points, but they are small, and I'll get to them last. First of all, the tour is half bus and half train (which one is first depends on the time of day), I recommend starting early (by bus), to avoid the crush of the cruise line excursions. You're going to literally circumnavigate the island. Our tour started by bus on the east coast, and our driver / tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, affable, and forthcoming. The roads are narrow, but even close to the cliffs i was never worried. You get to see the REAL St Kitts, not just the tourist spots. So you get to see wealth and extreme poverty, hear about slavery, rebuilt, and freedom, farming and technology, old ways and modernity. We then transferred to the train, and continued our tour of the island on the north and west coast. We went through rainforest and plains, through abandoned sugar cane plantations, and through villages. Sometimes the houses and shacks are literally right next to the railroad, so close that you can almost shake hands with someone lying in their hammock. The poverty is astounding, but surprisingly, the people all seem very happy, and greet the train with a smile every time it goes by. I guess that is the benefit of living in a paradise, but it is also easy to imagine how horrible slavery on a sugar cane plantations would have been. The train also features "masquerade dancers", two young men dressed in festival attire, displaying for the tourists what it would have been like 100 years ago in celebration. And the train also has unlimited drinks, which brings me to one of my small negative points. The car in front of us was filled with a group of obnoxiously drunk and rowdy Bros who took full advantage of the unlimited alcohol and made more noise than the train did. It is people like that that give America a bad reputation. The train is a narrow gauge train, and since it was originally designed as a freight line and not a passenger line, it tends to lurch quite a bit. You get used to it pretty quickly, but I recommend you sit in the upper level of the car. There will be a lot more swaying movement, but there is also fresh air, and the views are much better! Again, overall, it was absolutely worth taking this tour!

I went on this train with my toddler and 3 adults, I'm the only one that enjoyed the ride. Pros: View St. Kitts' culture and way of life (the good and the bad). Enjoy scenic views of the mountains and the ocean and nearby islands. Ride a train that's unlike any others. Have a tour of the towns and explanation of the country's history in an A/C cooled tour van with a local guide driver. See the friendliness of the locals as they all wave to you. See the historic sugarcane infrastructure that still remains. Cons: The train is slow, 10 mph max. It is slow because the track is not maintained as well and the carriages move side to side A LOT, if you get motion sick easily then avoid this train. They tend to pack the train to the point where you will be shoulder to shoulder with strangers. The drinks are smoothies with some rum thrown in, nothing special. If you suffer from back pain then do not get on, very rough ride. It can get hot and muggy. Overall, I enjoyed it because I'm a fan of trains, I wanted a unique experience, I got fantastic views, and I saw the culture and way of life as it truly is. NOTE: If you are on a cruise, you will not have time to do the train and visit the Brimstone fortress. Choose the fortress instead of the train!

So worth doing. A full tour of the island with a great guide. We had unlimited drinks (lots of rum!) … booked through P&O. Such a fun few hours!

We didn't go on the railway due to scheduling and hearing about the price from one of the locals. I'm putting in a review to warn people on here since neither the website nor WhatsApp chat is up front on pricing, and I think this is not a good practice for business. It's currently at least $89 USD per person to go on the excursion. The train itself is packed with tourists from the cruise ships and not always made comfortable. For us, this didn't seem worthwhile since we rented a car and had a whole week to explore the island ourselves - if this is still interesting to you, reserve through your cruise line or by emailing them through their website.

This was an excellent opportunity to learn about this island and its history. The group that runs it really knows the history and culture of this place. You can tell they really care about what they are doing. I would really recommend this experience.

We really enjoyed this excursion but the organization of the different groups in different pools was not the best. Some trainers gave zero information while others were marine biologists sharing their knowledge during the encounter. There was a lack of communication between the staff and participants and things felt very disorganized with how the staff placed people and organized the encounter activities. They don’t allow you to bring your own cameras and charge an exorbitant amount of money to purchase the photos they take. The dolphins seemed to really love the trainers so that’s a good thing. I would do this again but would pick a different package and hope to not be in the kind of group I was placed in.

My wife and I did this as a shore excursion from our cruise ship. The staff was very well organized and efficient. The dolphins seem happy and well cared for. If you have an opportunity, don't miss this opportunity.

Great dolphin experience! Lots of time in the water, friendly guides, and a wonderful overall experience. Watch out for the photo package, it is exorbitantly priced and since you can't bring a phone to take pics yourself then they know they've got you. The pics were great, just shockingly expensive.

We are here right now. I get around in a manual wheelchair. They refuse to let me onto the dock. Eventually, they let me onto the dock under supervision to ensure I don’t take pictures of my wife. Cameras allowed on the observation stand. But can’t see all pools from the stand. They can do much better with disability policies here.

Very poor instructions for participants. Don't waste your money on ticket to be on pier to watch...you can't even see your travel mate playing with the dolphins. Their pictures are not that great, but they are the only ones you'll have of the visit.

Wow! Just Absolutely Amazing!!!! The experience was second to none. The Staff was so kind, patience and fun. The dolphins were so precious and gentle. Even my 4 year old son had a blast and was not afraid at all. The photographer did a tremendous job, capturing our happy, excited and surprised moments. I truly had a wonderful time!!!

Good Encounter experience. It was just my husband and I. It was educational and we could ask questions. Would love to go back next visit St.Kitts and swim with the dolphins as this was our very first time. My husband was born in St.Kitts and this made the whole experience more memorable. Would be nice to have somewhere to sit down eat and drink afterwards though. It's best to book online before going as it is easy. You have to pay in US dollars for everything, why? You should have a choice. Staff are helpful which was a bonus

This was an awesome experience. The dolphins were beautiful and the trainers were so much fun. I cannot say enough about the experience itself. The only reason I gave it 4 stars of 5 was the cost. You are not allowed to take your own photos, cameras and cell phones are left in lockers. They took lots of fun photos of each part of the experience, but for all the photos for 2 people the cost was 170$. For families with multiple children it was unaffordable. To purchase just one photo was 45$. We booked this as an excursion on a cruise and there was not a warning about the cost. I would definitely do it again, and recommend it but I would advise you to be prepared for the cost.

A Mexican owned operation, the habitat is developed right off ocean and the dolphins seems well cared for...except one dolphin who looked like his fins might have been overhandled by tourists and need time to heal. I feel for these mammals trained to entertain, push and pull humans, some of whom are way too large/heavy and should not be allowed to partake. Some trainers are better than others. There is a strong emphasis is selling you photos $45 for 1 or $170 for deck. They hound you to ensure you don't bring your cell phones. There are lockers and keys free of charge where you can store belongings, unisex restroom and changing room and of course a souvenir gift shop.

Try Somewhere Else I have done dolphin swims before and the swim part would be on par with most all others I have done. My issue is with the photos and rude staff. This was the fifth dolphin swim I have done at five different locations. They all charge for the photos they take. This was the only one that would not allow you to take any photos at all on your own. For my family of four they charged $250 for photos. The most before I was charged was $85. They were a complete rip off. When selecting the photos they had one very rude lady that would "help" you., but you had to beg for her to help for more than 20 seconds. The entire staff in this area were very rude and acted like you were a bother. Pretty poor when you paid $250 just for photos. Definitely try this excursion at another port.

I was finally able to check a dolphin experience off my bucket list! So glad I was able to do it here in St. Kitts. The whole experience was magical. Our assigned trainer Bardo was incredible. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We got to do so many tricks and games with our dolphins, Dante and Gaia. I can’t wait to come back and do this excursion again.

I enjoyed the dolphin encounter experience! Hector was a really good guide who educated us about the dolphins and he answers all the questions you have about them. Although, the photos are the most outrageous prices I have ever seen which was a total ripoff! 70 dollars per person, it wouldve been justified if there was a video included with the interaction as well. You cant bring your phone/gopro as they make sure you have to purchase the photos, even on the viewing.

Amazing experience! The Dolphins seemed to be treated well and were allowed to be themselves. It was great to hang out with them in their own habitat. I do wish that photos were a little more affordable though.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon. One of the guys showing us what to do needed an attitude adjustment. He was yelling at people including me, and we didn’t appreciate it. He would benefit from some training on how to treat paying customers. There’s no need for yelling at customers, especially when no one was doing anything wrong.

It was a very fun experience. Trainers are so good with the dolphins. We got to touch and play games with the dolphins for a good amount of time. We also learned a lot. Pictures are pretty pricey though.

A two hour excursion turned into a full day of fun! Everyone at St. Kitts Water Sports was SO friendly and helpful. Our guides and captains on the boat were amazing. My son was a little scared of the deep water, and Alex swam along with a life jacket just in case. He pointed out cool things to look at, we even got to see a sea turtle and a sting ray! We explored a sunken ship wreck, and lots of coral and fish. Diamond guided us around the little coves, and Alex even jumped in to bring up a couple of star fish for us to see up close and hold. When we returned back to the dock, Ken at Reggae Beach Bar and Grill had four chairs and umbrellas reserved for us for the afternoon. The beach in that area is GORGEOUS. Crystal clear water and gentle waves. Stunning. It wasn’t crowded, but it was lively, and everyone there was pleasant. We had a terrific time and couldn’t have been happier!

We showed up a bit after the posted closing time of 4 PM and they graciously still allowed us to rent snorkel gear and swim around while they were closing up. We ended up getting a full hour of snorkeling and they even offered some money back since the posted rate is for 2 hours. One of the snorkel tubes was a bit damaged which made it harder to use, but no big deal--check your gear when they hand it to you. They accept credit cards. I'll also add that this bay is great for beginner snorkeling and you can see some brightly colored fish, lobsters, and maybe even a manta ray if you go out along the rocks on the left side.

Highly recommend! We rode jet skis, had kiteboarding lessons, and went parasailing with St Kitts Watersports and the experience was amazing! We parasailed as a group of 3 and the take off was so smooth. In the air, we saw the entire island and even a sea turtle in the water! The captain and first mate made sure we felt safe the entire ride. Jeff was my kiteboarding instructor. He was attentive and patient and next thing I knew, I was already starting to ride on the board. I have never surfed or wakeboarded but I felt comfortable learning with Jeff because he was so knowledgeable about the area and the sport. If you love adventure and fun, St. Kitts Watersports is a must!

I was looking for kite equipment just to rent - Jeff was super reactive and responsive even if he was out. Sandy was super flexible and took me to the spot. Equipment was good and rental price very honest (relatively speaking when you know the cost of kite equipment and the risks associated with it). Thanks guys ! Without you I would not have been able to kite !! And by the way - see attached a picture of the spot.... just awesome.

I have always wanted to try kiteboarding so signed up for a 3 hour lesson. Alex was an excellent instructor. He was patient, gave clear directions and explanations and I had a great time. I also learned that, unless I intend to kiteboard at least several time per month, this is not a sport like wakeboarding or waterskiing where you can do it decently enough and just improve over time. It is very complex and takes several lessons just to get to the point where you can control the kite well enough to actually board and tons of things can go wrong. Still, the lesson was worth it and I did enjoy myself, so many thanks! Other members of my family went parasailing and they had fun as well. We would recommend St. Kitts Water Sports Center to anyone.

We rented Jet Skis from Tristan today. We had such a blast and the jet skis flew in the water. Such a memorable experience. Highly recommend this place if staying in St Kitts.

Fabulous!! The worst thing for us was that we couldn't get in for dinner during our stay, it's that popular and good! The area has a pool with a great view of the city and port, lovely gardens, spectacular cocktails, friendly and helpful staff, and the restaurant's food is just incredible. This is a must-visit if you go to the island.

This place is a hidden gem! From the road you can't this tell place has some of the best views overlooking Basseterre and the bay. They've also got a beautiful grounds with plants, trees and fruits of a wide variety. We only stopped off briefly to grab a drink and some shade on a typically hot and humid day but we plan of visiting again to make use of their beautiful pool and tasty cocktails.

Really lovely place with wonderful views. Staff are really helpful and nothing is too much. Prices for food and drinks are a little bit pricey and subject to tax and service charge.

Amazing venue with great service! Went for dinner on a Thursday night. We were greeted by the staff upon arrival and we immediately felt good about the place. The servers are really knowledgeable and go out of their way to provide amazing service. The food was outstanding and nicely presented. Make sure you take some time to visit the gardens and the pool area as it is beautifully designed.

This is my second review of Palms Court Gardens. The first being 4 or 5 years ago when I wrote a very deserving excellent rating. That said, my wife and I returned and everything was outstanding with the exception of the service. My wife ordered a hamburger with fries and well over an hour later and many complaints to the servers as well as I believe the owner, she finally received her way over priced, ($18.00) hamburger with fries! It was more than a half hour after we complained to the owner that she received her order. What does it take, 15 minutes at most to make up a hamburger with fries. Everyone else that ordered after she ordered received their order but not my wife's order. The owner didn't even offer to comp the order for the extreme wait! The drink prices I don't believe have changed and are quite reasonable. And that said, the gardens are in much better condition than our first visit. Everything else was very nice and we enjoyed our stay with the one exception. If and when we return to St. Kitts we will probably return to Palms Court Gardens because it is a great get away, with the exception of the service. Change my mind next time please!

The location has a incredible view and the inside of the resort is so green and natural . The restaurant has a very nice design with a good taste. The food menu has limited option but the food is delicious.

Absolutely gorgeous place. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and appropriately sized at a fair price. The accommodations/grounds along with the spectacular views is one that should not be missed. We shall see you again soon.

Came here from the cruise ship and wanted to relax and enjoy the sun, and we were able to do exactly that! It’s about a 15 minute walk from the port and a little „hidden“ so there aren’t many tourist coming here! Crew on the other hand is a different story. It seems as if this is the go to spot for cruise ship crew to enjoy their time off, so it was pretty full with 2 (one being the biggest cruise ship at the moment - icon of the seas) laying in the cruise terminal. Besides it being a little crowded at times, the atmosphere is amazing, the people working here are funny and nice and the drinks and food are great! At $20 a person this is an amazing getaway to relax and enjoy your vacation ☀️

Wow what a find. On the beautiful island of St Kitts is this tropical paradise. With an elevated position and with gorgeous views over the sea and cruise dock, exquisite food and a totally relaxing vibe. Book in advance if possible altho u can just turn up but no guarantee of a bed. Pool, jacuzzi, waiter service it really is a spot of heaven We opted for chicken wings as a lunch with delicious jerk seasoning. Prices are very good altho you pay $10 pp entrance, but that includes a sunbed and a brolly.

Lovely environment, delicious food, reasonable prices. There's also a shop with locally made shell-based gifts. This is a beautiful quiet retreat after the hustle bustle of Basserterre. You can also swim for the day for $20, next to the bar with a view of the harbor. You must visit this place!

This is a nice beach. It's usually full on holidays because people go with their families for picnics, cook out etc. Great family lime and great view.

Had a wonderful time here at this beach! We rented some jet skis for an hour! Water was crystal clear and calm. This side of island is calm but the north side is rough enough to surf.

Nice anchorage in sand in front of Shipwreck Nar, stayed for 2 days

You don't have to pay the bar to get into the beach. You just can't use their facilities but if you don't need umbrellas or chairs, you can definitely enjoy the beach without paying. Because of the volcano, the sand is not white. it's rather coarse and dark. The beach is absolutely beautiful for snorkeling. Reefs are easy to find and snorkeling is safe. Definitely recommend you to take your snorkeling gear. There are no boardwalk but there is a station to was the sand off your feet. Taxi is always available to take you to where you need to go - about $16 one way to the port, or to the beach.

We hiked to the top of the mountain with a guide. It definitely requires you to be in good shape. The hike is reasonably steep, and can be challenging. I think it took us about 2 hours to reach the top at a reasonably casual pace. That said, the view at the top was great. It was cloudy when we were there, but we still loved it. You can see all the way into the crater, and to the rim on the other side. I'd imagine on a more clear day the view is significantly better.

Great hike! Wear proper hiking shoes if possible and go with a guide. We were able to complete with running shoes.

First off. Unless you have endurance, and are relatively in shape, do not try this climb. 3 people that started with us made it only 20 minutes before they gave up. It is one heck of a journey to the summit, which was totally worth it once I got up there! It's also a mountain climb, not a casual walk through the rain forest. Be responsible for your own well being. Use hiking shoes/boots...running shoes will be ruined. Bring an extra snack and some water (from the ship if you're on a cruise). The guides, who do this climb up to 4 times per week, are great people. The two that stayed with our group after the sweeper had to stay back with the 3 people that couldn't continue, were awesome. They were informative, had great senses of humour, and most importantly they were patient with the slower section of our group. I was the go between as I was with 4 others, 2 in the quick group, and 2 in the slower group. I got the nickname mountain goat LMAO because I was jogging in between the groups. You see so much flora and get to listen to the birds in the canopy. If you're lucky you might get to see a Vervet Monkey. We saw one and a few mongoose 😎 We were given a light snack and some small glasses of a frozen pineapple drink just over halfway up. Both were very tasty. Once we reached the top there was plenty of time to absorb the views and snap some videos and pictures. The climb down was a little quicker of course, but just as technical. Once we reached the bottom we had sandwiches and a drink. We had the option of a beer for $2, which I indulged in. The drive back was quick as we got stuck in some rush hour traffic, and we were literally the last people back on the ship LOL

DO NOT TAKE THIS EXCURSION FROM ROYAL CARIBBEAN! I hiked this volcano. I am in good shape. I exercise for an hour or more 3-5 days a week. I lift weights... I am athletic. I hike. I usually go trail hiking in the Appalachian mountains. The volcano trail itself, on the volcano is about 2 miles and then the trail to the trail to the volcano is about a mile. In total the hike is about 8 miles, according to the pedometer on my phone. Royal Caribbean schedules the excursion for 6 hours, which stresses the tour guides, because they have to be on time. The tour guides will rush you on a treacherous and muddy trail that is often 6 inches wide at places, with huge boulders as well. it is not mountain hiking, it is mountain climbing. The degree grade is about 30% if I had to guess. sometimes, it probably pushes 70% especially the last half mile toward the summit. Making that ascent and descent at that speed on that trail is not safe for amateurs and should only be done by serious mountaineers and not by children. Children can become exhausted and can suddenly experience cardiac or respiratory complications and radical decompensation (shock). This is not a safe excursion during rainy season. Subtract 2 hours for travel, one hour each way. You must complete this 8 mile round trip in 4 hours with minimal breaks. The beginning of the trail is humid and is very taxing to start a mountain climb with few breaks, that last about 30 seconds. The humidity in the beginning makes the rest of the ascent that much more challenging. The trail is not as well groomed as I would expect. It was more overgrown than I would have thought. With such a popular trail, I would hope that they errect some more stable and permanent assistive structures (IE a railing) on the trail, instead of slack and knotted rope. The tour company handed us cold cut turkey sandwiches on white bread for lunch with a 2 oz Dixie cup of lemonade. Not worth $129. G-d bless my guide. I would not have made it to the top without her.

My wife and I chose to do this hike without a tour guide and we didn't have any regrets. The trail was well marked and hard to get lost or turned around. We saw several tourist on the trail with tour guides and for those who couldn't keep up were left behind. What to bring....1. Hiking shoes/boots (low or high) with good grip are a must. The trail is very muddy and it's easy to slip without the proper shoes. 2. Long pants. Several people had mud and a few scrapes on their legs from slipping. 3. Hiking sticks were very useful on various parts of the trail to keep our balance and to navigate up and down. 4. Plenty of water and snacks. We brought 4 bottles of water for both of us and we only had a half a bottle for the hike down. For snacks for we brought some jerky, cliff and kind bars. If you're looking for a leisurely stroll through nature then this hike is not for you. The first 20-30 minutes was easy enough, but the rest of the way was straight up. I enjoyed this hike and would do it again. I hope this bit of information helps. Good Luck!!!!

If you ever want to learn kitesurfing, this is the place to do it with. Nick (the instructor) is an amazing teacher. You can tell he has the knowledge to back up the skill. He answered all my questions and made kiteboarding classes enjoyable and easy to follow through. If you have no previous knowledge about kiteboarding (like me) he will make sure to tailor everything according to your level. Again, highly recommended.

Came to St Kitts to improve my kiting and was lucky enough to find the best instructor! Nick is the nicest, most knowledgeable and most patient teacher and I’ve taken many lessons before in many parts of the world. I feel like I made a lot of progress this time. Nick took us to the St Kitts and the Nevis kiting spots and he even did a downwinder with my friend who is a seasoned kiter. My friend rented the gear with him and we had an amazing time! I will be back soon! Thank you Nick!!

Nic is a great sailing instructor, he explains everything very well and I’ve learned a lot each time I took one of his lessons. Always fun and would highly recommend!

My family had the best time sailing with Nick! He helped us plan an perfect activity for our group. It was hands down everyone’s favorite day of vacation. Some of our group was interested in learning more about how to sail and some of the group just wanted to enjoy the views and drink a beer. Nick accommodated everyone’s interests perfectly.

Nick was fantastic. We learned Wing Foiling for several days and had so much fun that we played on the Hobie cat as well. The Hobie trip across the narrows to Nevis was a blast! Nick was a great teacher, super patient, and gave us lots of awesome insider information on the island. Will definitely hit the water with him again!

Nick was awesome! I took a kiteboarding lesson with him, and I highly highly recommend it. He was very good at explaining things to me and made sure the safety aspect was well understood before we started doing anything with the kite. He was very helpful, enjoyable and was an amazing teacher.

I’ve had a couple kite boarding lessons with Nick and the crew! They are awesome. The patience and experience Nick has really helps ease the nerves of learning a new hobby. Great guy! Great group of people to be around.

Some shop are open a lot are not, at this time. All insist on wearing your mask. Some will take your temperature and use hand spray. The shops that are open are all good stores and their associates are working hard to keep them open. Unfortunately the museum is closed. All have high hopes for more opening in the future.

Good port to explore and chill around

Great place, increases seating, clean enough bathrooms, water fountain with actual cold water, live music at times, the steel pans, clean, non smoking zone, welcoming entrance to St Kitts. Marsc level 1. But it's just the entrance... To St Kitts, get out there and say you've been to St Kitts.

Local stalls and market are brilliant

We had a lovely cooking and rum tasting tour here. Such a lovely selection of rum we had to take home a couple bottles. We really enjoyed the cooling demonstration and tasting too. A little time exploring the gardens and the buildings and a short time relaxing by the pool was a great way to spend the morning. Very glad we chose this excursion from our Celebrity cruise while we were in port.

What a wonderful local experience, where the people and the food are just unique and colourful! We had the opportunity to experience a cooking demonstration of the local cuisine, do a bit of rum tasting! And danced with Tash a lovely knowledgeable guide. Island fun, quality of life and a historical journey through what was and is part of at Kitts and Nevis.

A very insightful and FUN tour, Doreen was especially fantastic. Her rum cake was honestly the highlight of my time on the island. I HIGHLY recommend coming here and learning about life on the island and the sugar cane process.

This was the first stop on our tour of St Kitts. Plan to spend at least 45 min to an hour here as there’s so much to explore, read and learn. The house is extremely well preserved with so many details you’ll be delighted, especially if your an avid history student.

What a lovely place to be. The view is peaceful. The house is spacious and attractive. The history and slavery exhibitions are excellent. The botanical gardens are informative and attractive, especially if you want information about which local plants to use for which ailment. The bar is spacious and airy, the staff pleasant and informative. Just go and give yourself a break.

Very beautiful site. The tour and cooking demonstration were very interesting. Note: Not all of the stall doors close in the women's restroom and it can get hot there, so bring water.

Loved the history, the tour and the estate. Very informative and excellently kept buildings. And they even had a beautiful bar!

We visited as part of a tour group off a Windstar cruise ship. Our guide was super nice, fun, energetic & claimed to be fighting a cold/allergies. We loved testing the RUM! The great house is emaculately restored and worth the visit. Great views & an excellent visit....

The tour of the house really went deep into the running of the house with an immersive experience about slavery development. We did see some of the legendary monkeys on the edge of the property. A sudden, short downpour introduced us to island weather. But the best part was the Caribbean cooking demonstration. The chef made jerk chicken, a vegetable mix, red beans and rice, and steamed mahi-mahi. She topped it off with bread pudding topped with a rum-caramel sauce. Chef Che explained the recipes and answered our questions. At the end of cooking we all got to sample the freshly prepared dishes. What a fabulous excursion.

Absolutely gorgeous place to visit with knowledgeable staff and wonderful bartenders. Was only here for 30 minutes on a cruise excursion, but I can see spending at least double that in the slavery exhibit alone. The gardens are peaceful, beautiful, and well maintained.

An excellent restored colonial plantation house. Contains period furniture and a comprehensive museum to slavery in the cellar. Features a beautiful botanic garden, with many of the plants named. Also, unusually has a swimming pool available for use. Has a stinking view of the sea.

Beautiful old house with lots of history. Self guided tour but you pay $5 a person. Does have bar area and swimming pool you could use.

We stopped here as part of a cruise excursion. The place is a renovated plantation. We were able to attend a cooking demonstration and rum tasting which were both excellent. Without this experience, the site is only slightly interesting. You can walk around the grounds. The slavery exhibit is interesting, although a bit too thorough. The gift shop mostly sells rums after the tastings. I saw a large terrestrial crab while touring the grounds.

This historical building was a former plantation on the Island of St Kitts, Basseterre. We went as part of a cruise ship package tour of the house and also had a Caribbean cookery lesson of 3 dishes. Our guide Maya and Chef Che did a marvellous, entertaining job, teaching us the history of the house and demonstrating the skills of preparing Caribbean culinary cuisines. Beautiful grounds, rum tasting, and a gift shop.

Beautiful estate with a bar and small kitchen, gardens, and historic rooms (there is also a very well done slavery history walk-through here).

Beautiful home with pretty gardens. However, the house is sorely lacking in period furniture and museum quality artifacts. Largely, it's a big, mostly empty house. The staff guide provided a less than personal intro to the house that did not provide much information. Visitors are largely left on their own to explore the grounds. The real winner here is the beautiful gardens. There is a bar for those wanting a cold beverage.

Pretty cool. Looks a little like the fountain in London, Picadilly circle. Big traffic circle crazy drivers, minimal driving rules. Watch yourself! It even has a clock in it the locals call "little Ben", after Big Ben in London.

One of the most famous landmarks in stkitts. In this area you have a little of everything. Local banks, good food places, boutiques etc it's a tourist attraction. The people are friendly and always willing to help. Fun fact is walking Distance from the famous Port Zante where the cruise ships docks. Will recommend you visit and take pictures cause the scenery is beautiful

The Berkeley Memorial stands in the centre of the Circus in Basseterre. I visited it on a carnival day. The memorial features a drinking fountain as well as a clock. There are four clock faces, each one facing one of the four streets leading to the Circus. It was built in honour of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a former president of the General Legislative Council in the 1880s.

We crossed this memorial statue on our way to the Carnival parade.

It is an iconic symbol of the island's colonial past. Situated on Fort Street a central roadway in Basseterre possibly separating into two notable sections. It also connects motorists on the bay-road (road passing along the seaside) to the island main road. Berkeley Memorial can be easily used as a reference point for visitors which can help them navigate the street of Basseterre. Interestingly the road facing east leads directly to Independence Square another site which clearly states that you are in Basseterre.

Learning more about St Kitts was a highlight of our trip. The cabby we met upon arrival took us to many places and explained the history and experience growing up there. (#GasMoney) good fishing trip, where I caught the biggest fish. (Speedy)

Fantastic place to visit lovely beach & scenery.

Every port city needs a green space like this. Not even 5 min from the port district, a pretty fountain and old trees with benches in the shade. A few food stalls on the perimeter offer island eats. Te amo Basseterre.

Beautiful park to walk around!

This historical landmark is a place of peace and tranquility in Basseterre. If you are ever in Basseterre it is a must see or better yet must experience. There are several benches scattered around beneath the shade of the national flower (Flamboyant Tree). It is a nice place to relax by yourself or with friends and family.

A small unspectacular park with a dirty fontain in the middle. A lot of rubbish around. You can totaly get out more out of this place, when there would have been more investment.

Tourist perspective: 5 stars History can be cruel but it is good when it's preserved as a reminder. We are so privileged. Local perspective: 3 stars 98% of the time its dirty and to be a tourist spot it shouldn't be like that, whoever is the maintenance person is not responsible. Something always wrong with the fountain. It is nice when its nicely painted and we get to see it on. I know its a historic place but around the area should have a children's park even if it's small. More benches please. Liked that recently they added or made some concrete area for eating. More lighting at nights or security. Many things have happened just walking through it at night.

So much fun! The rain from Hurricane Tammy washed out some of the trails but Obo pivoted and gave us an incredible day. We chased rain around the island and got wet and muddy but Obo checked in regularly to make sure we were good and up for the adventure. No doubt he would have kept us dryer if that had been our preference. Great pictures at Timothy Hill and a wonderful lunch at Ship Wreck after driving was done. 100% recommend!

Great tour. Booking the ATV excursion your cruise line offers will give you no where near the fun and excitement you will receive on this tour. You’ll meet great people all around from your taxi driver, to your tour guides, and even the people at the beach and bar. Definitely will be back when in St.Kitts again.

Love love loved this tour! Maxine was right on time to pick us up, had a large van big enough to comfortably sit the four in my family and 4 in another. Rusty had us going in the buggies in no time, he was a great help. Obo and Rusty took us all around the island, it was so fun to off road, but also cool to drive on the other side of the road! They were so helpful while we were driving. Rusty continously cleaned our windows to ensure a safe ride! We then went to JoJos and had the best rum punch ever. She really is a local gem!! Maxine took us to the beach/shipwreck and gave us extra time since our boat was due to set sail a little later then it was supposed to. Delicious fish tacos, a great place to snorkel as the reef is just 5 feet from the shore. All in all I would highly recommend Mad Max and her amazing crew. Thank guys so much!

The trip completely lives up to the hype - adrenaline rush plus some breathtaking views of the island, a fantastic guide, and a great final lunch stop. Will be the first thing we book when we go back.

Super fun half day tour! Starts off with a tutorial and then you are off. Tour is part on road and part off-road racing around. Then they drop you at the beach/shipwreck bar where you can grab great food and drinks, see monkeys and go for a swim. We loved it! The guides were knowledgeable, helpful, kind and funny. Highly recommend this for a day out in St. Kitts.
