Best ever place for a trip in anyone's life, in the middle of waters there exists a place to get a peace of mind. This is the only one. Not only for an excursion but only for seeing a view of water bodies statues ,sunset and sunrise points, we went there. Going in a boat from one side to the other side of the rock memorial was an awesome experience. After coming back to home we think of the place and imagine the scenery. No words to explain, what a view.

I went with my family and it is an iconic place in the whole of India. The memorial is fully surrounded by the sea and is so exciting watching the water bodies cover all parts of the land. It's one of the most beautiful memorials ever and maintained wonderfully well. To reach the memorial from the mainland the government operates jetty service which costs 75 per adult and only cash is accepted. Even on a weekday we had to wait for almost 2 hours in total to reach the memorial so plan accordingly. Other than that it's a mesmerizing place with a grand view.

Worth visiting place. We went in the noon hours so there was less crowd. The ticket price is 75 Rs to and fro on the ferry. You will get around 40-45 minutes to visit Vivekananda Memorial and can buy books too. You can enjoy beautiful view of Triveni Sangam.

Great place for a visit, situated in the Indian Ocean..! Worth a visit .. definitely not for a family with kids, it's heavily crowded and takes more.than 3-4 hours to go and come back .. in the queue you are waiting , no place to sit and not even water is provided.. management needs to work lot on improving the queue system.. elderly people are struggling to stand continuously.. kindly work on the queue and neatness on the boat..

A meditation hall known as Dhyana Mandapam is also attached to the memorial for visitors to meditate. There is entry ticket 🎫 of Inr 30 to go inside the hall, meditation area, book shop etc.,. Ferry ⛴️ ticket is for ferry only. The place is maintained very good. Shoes 👞 and sandals 🩴 are not allowed inside. They have facilities to keep safe. Eating 🥣 is not allowed. The breeze is so cool. The architecture is fabulous. Better to visit on weekdays to have less crowded and enjoy your time.

It was my father's dream to visit this place. During his school days he contributed 2 rupees for the construction of this beautiful structure. It's really beautiful. At the confluence of the Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. From the beach, through a steam boat we have to reach this place. Life jacket mandatory so zero risk. We spend around 2 to 3 hours on the memorial. Altogether it was a pleasant experience. Best time to visit in the afternoon to avoid high temperature and to enjoy the evening breeze.

This is a lovely serene place to be. The last mainland rock of India has pretty amazing views and a great place to mediate on the Vivekanand rock memorial. The ferry service from the mainland is a bit pricey for a 5 min ride though

Surreal to experience the culmination of 3 vast oceans and seas. Very crowded on weekends though. They close the ticket counter around 4 pm. Two large boats do to and fro tips to the rock memorial. Although the distance is very short, the waves are high because 3 water bodies meeting there. The sunset and moonrise views are awesome. Try to avoid public holidays.

Swami Vivekananda meditated in 1892.sun set from the mainland is amazing. The ferry ride is super. Goddess Kumari performed austerity. The life jackets in the ferry are not good. A place of enlightenment. Nice for refreshment and meditation.

Beautiful place surrounded by the vast blue Indian Ocean on one side, the bay of Bengal on the other and the Arabian sea. Accessible by ferry from the mainland. There is a statue of Swami Vivekananda inside the memorial. Amazing views all over. Calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Well, what to say about that as there are so much written about that in detail but still I like to add that the difference between " I have read it" and " I have seen it " is this place inside the sea in Kanyakumari. In simple words, it's breathtaking. You have to go through sea by ferry to reach the island and back. Ferry service starts sharp at 8AM in morning. Don't get fooled by 200/- vs 50/- rs VIP gimmick as there is no difference in any treatment at any stage. Well, go there to feel it for yourself. It's definitely worth it.

Wonderful place. We as a family visited this place and we loved it. We went at around 4:00pm and the sun was bright and the winds were strong. The rock memorial is maintained well and very clean. You can sit peacefully and do meditation. The ferry will take you from the mainland to the island. The charges are Rs. 50/- per person. There is another landmark right next to the memorial in another island, that is Thuruvalluvar Statue. It was under renovation and no visitor was allowed to go near it. We can definitely enjoy the sound of waters and the strong breeze that embraces. The sea was rough because of the winds. The colors of the oceans were spectacular. It is a treat to watch sunset and sunrise from the same place. A must to visit for everyone.

Need to pay Rs 30/- for entering vivekanand rock memorial. You have to be at the place before 4 o clock in the evening. Gates will be closed after that and tickets will not be issued. Nice historical place. Charges for going to the place is Rs75 for boat plus Rs30 for entry to the place. Overall could have been much better considering the number of people visit each day. There also sun clock which shows exact time.

Very beautiful place. The places reverberates with spirituality. It was a memorable visit. You can spend 2-3 hours. Sitting on this rock Swami Vivekananda came up with the decision to go to America to spread the teachings of Vedanta. The meditation room is a great place to meditate. The view is great and calms the mind. During early morning hours stand near the Kanyakumari Temple sunrise point and see the sun rise over the memorial. Very nice structure and well maintained. Waiting time may be high in season for ferry and consider this while you make your travel plans.

Nice place to visit and experience being surrounded by the ocean. The ferry is a short ride here but it's very unsafe as there are never enough life vests. They need to improve the safety significantly as the waves can be very rough. The memorial is nice and the area is very scenic.

The Rock Memorial is amazing! They have this quiet meditation room that’s so peaceful, you can’t even hear the ocean outside. The whole place is just beautifully built. Definitely worth checking out! Highly recommend it.

Worth the visit if it isn't crowded. The boat ride to and from the rock looks perilous but everyone seems to enjoy it like some distopian roller coaster ride. We reached by around 2 PM and hardly waited in the ticketing queue. Takes around 1-1.5 Hrs in total, a little more if you chose to meditate in the meditation hall. The entry queue was serpentine by the time we returned (around 4-5 PM)

Visited here on 26th Nov 2022. Vivekananda Rock and boating is open. 50rs boating charges and 30rs entry fee to the rock. Tiruvalluvar statue is under construction... Life jacket provided in the boat is pathetic... Smells badly. No clips for locking the jacket. Outdated boats. 3 boats are there for commuting. Tip: Try to visit there for boating in the morning as less crowds will be there. After 11am till 1pm there was a heavy crowd. 1pm to 3pm less crowds but you will be affected by heavy direct sunlight... The evening will be more crowded as everyone wants to see the sunset from there.

We visited with family,sunrise and sunset were very nice .Boat ride is a must try After seeing sunrise you can try to visit nearby fish markets in order to experience the fish auction.

Great place. I always wanted to visit it with my family. Finally it happened. The evening walk along the beach is just great. The morning view of the sunrise from the hotel terrace was extraordinary. Fisherman boats sailing over the sea, auction of fishes, all are just awesome moments.

It is not developed keeping in mind the tourism. If you have got the ability to differentiate the 3 seas just by looking at the water color I think it’s not the right places. I went above at the Minar or tower view to see the confluence but that was a mistake. I think they need to bring in investment and actually build a concrete structure inside the sea to let visitors see the confluence if any. A drone might help them in identifying the coordinates of the confluence very well and height of the tower must be calculated accordingly.

It is one of the most popular tourist spot in Kanyakumari. It's a great place to watch sun rise and sunset.I visit this place on a weekend, so it was really crowded. But still it was a great experience. The beach was clean and well maintained. The only issue I felt was to find a parking spot . I would really recommend this place to all.

Worst place to be at Where “Land Ends”. Not at all well kept. Such amazing place but no cleanliness and badly managed . Long long queues for temple entry and boat Place was smelling so bad. Govt has not done any arrangements for cleaning and littering . Temple must be beautiful but reaching there is a big task. Govt must be so something to clean this area.

As I walk around the Thiruvalluvar statue, I am in awe of the incredible detail and craftsmanship that has gone into creating this masterpiece. The statue is so lifelike, it seems like Thiruvalluvar is actually standing there before me, waiting to share his wisdom. I am struck by the thoughtfulness and compassion that is evident in his features, and I can't help but feel inspired by his teachings. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to visit this beautiful statue, and I am sure that it will continue to inspire me for years to come.I will also suggest to visit once in lifetime.

I had experienced the beauty of this statue from the boat and it seems amazing. This statue is 133 feet. This statue belongs to a Tamil poet and the height of the statue represents 133 chapters of his book called tirukkural. In Jan'24, it is closed due to construction of bridge or flyover between Vivekanand Rock and Thiruvalluvar Statue rock. This may continue for next 2-3 months considering the current status - refer images. Tourists are not allowed to go to Thiruvalluvar rock. Only Vivekanand Rock is open and accessible. Don’t know the works of saint Thiruvalluvar. This is a statue situated besides Vivekananda rock memorial and ferry Charges around Rs. 75 per person to visit. There are stairs inside the statue and you can go to 2nd floor to have a great view of the Ocean.

Tribute to the Great Tamil Poet Thiruvalluvar... He wrote the thirukkural...which has 133 adhikaram and 1330 kurals..... All are very unique words which he wrote before 2000 years.... In the memory of 133...Dr.Karunanidhi built the statue 133 feet height.... Calm environment to reach the ferry boat available... Due the bridge construction happening between vivekanand memorial rock and Thiruvalluvar Statue.presently public is not allowed here....

This beautiful Thiruvalluvar statue at Kanyakumari sea coast at a distance of 400 m stands in a small island representing ancient poet of Tamil Nadu Valluvar later called as Thiruvalluvar with honour. 41 m height of statue made of stone and concrete in 1999 has profound base of 38 ft depicting 38 contributions from this poet. His contributions towards ethics, morality, love and economics in form of literature is well known and appreciated. When we visited, this was closed for maintenance since last year. Because, once in four years maintenance work is carried out with chemical coating to preserve this statue from heavy wind, tides and rainfall. This statue is believed as one of the 25th biggest statue in India.

It was sad to visit this historic site that has so much to offer to tourists & see very poor upkeep & signage. I would not recommend it to people visiting internationally. It’s rich in architecture & history and yet there is barely any information printed out and posted for visitors to understand the architecture & how the spaces were used. The volunteers there give you a basic introduction to each room “this is the dining hall” or “this is the ladies waiting room” but that’s about it. Most of the directional signage is broken. Many areas are closed off with sad broken, mismatched, uneven barriers. It’s hard to get a good photo of many areas (the dance hall is a great example of this) because of these barricades, garbage, old furniture, broken rails, electrical wires, exposed power panels & tiles/debris shoved in many corners. See pics. I’m sure the government of Kerala can do better. Right from the entrance gate, water fountains, to the room where you leave your shoes needs updating. India is so rich in culture so it’s always upsetting to see it maintained & presented in such a sad state.

The palace and its architecture were beautiful, worth a visit. The ticket counter doesn't allow any other mode of payment except cash. The way inside the palace is systematic. You may go for a family outing to see and imagine the lavish lives of its residents or just enjoy this historical site.

One of the oldest and largest wooden palaces in India. The government has maintained the place really well. The guides here provide some good insights of the palace. The architecture of the palace is so amazing. It takes a minimum of 2 hours at least to complete the entire tour. There are certain sections of the palace which are inaccessible perhaps due to its ancientness. And there are some scribblings on the walls and pillars which spoils the architecture a bit. There are some paintings that have been kept for viewers which actually depict the culture and other aspects of the kings life during those days A must visit if are nearby. The palace is open to the public from 2.00PM and it's advisable that you reach 30 mins earlier to avoid the rush in availing entry tickets. The palace is located just around 20 km from Nagercoil and upon arrival you have to take tickets which cost 40 per adult and 20 for a mobile camera for Indian citizens and only cash is accepted here. They also provide lockers to keep your footwear since it is prohibited inside the palace.

I had visited this place once during my childhood. There was a person who would come and explain each and every detail and the palace was filled with so much antique items. Now it feels like everything was empty. Though at each juncture there were people who were present to explain things to the visitors, none of the ladies there even bothered to look at us. All rooms were completely emptied . Only good things was we could get so many pics

A very nice place to visit and very interesting in knowing about the Prinece Queen lifestyle , architecture of palace, gardening , lighting inside the house, kitchen, 64 herbs bed for King, separate room for king's mother, attractive and lifetime furniture, windows style, balcony areas etc... Main attraction is the dance hall where kings and ministers sit and watch. Whereas the queen watch from special windows. The kitchen utensils, well with fulcrum etc.. are amazing... The roof architecture of the palace is marvelous. The rainwater harvesting introduced long long years ago tells us that the importance of Conservation of Water. A special building for other kings and visitors was built in foreign style. The room for providing free food for the public really appreciable. Overall I loved the place and enjoyed with my family.

Travancore heritage palace with historical significance. It could have been much better taken care of. Few doors and windows and flooring are dilapidated and needs urgent restoration. The staffs could have explained historical significance of artefacts much better if they were sincere and interested in making the visitors more informed about the place and history.

This is one of my favourite places to go to so full of our history , But this time I was so disappointed 1, The guides just stand at random corners and say some random things no explanation given whatsoever . It would have been better if we kept plaques with the relevant information . 2 No maintenance at all creeps have carved their name everywhere the staff is least bothered this could have been avoided if they gave guided tours So sad to see such spaces getting ruined

Disappointingly, UPI or card payments are not accepted. Once inside, guards may approach, seemingly more concerned with verifying payments for mobile camera photography than enhancing your experience. Despite some reviews suggesting otherwise, I found the guides to be well informed and thorough in their explanations, contradicting claims that they fail to provide meaningful insights.

With age, the palace, its buildings, and its collection of items are starting to show signs of wear. It's uncertain how long they will last, but the government is making efforts to preserve this historical site.

So many old and traditional things used by kings and previous generations are held here. Everything is goosebumps moments when roaming inside the palace. First time visit this place it’s good experience to see the palace of padmanadhapuram its in Kerala government control and per head of 50 rs I think. And inside it’s surprise of rooms tables. Now the palace is not good as the previous years. The precious items had been moved from here. Main attraction is only the old rooms, pond, kitchen etc. The parking is near by the side of road. There Is lot of relaxing areas near the palace. We need to remove footwear to enter the palace. There is clock room for collecting the foot wear. We can take tickets for mobile photography also.

Padmanabhapuram palace is one of its kind. This is exquisite with wood carvings. This palace is completely made of wood and the craftsmanship is unmatched. When we went it was a cloudy day hence the palace was pitch dark during the day. The garden, rooms and other facilities are well maintained. The place also hosts a lot of paintings. This has accounts of famous kings. A must visit for all. But note that it's closed on Monday and there is lunch time of 1.30 hours. Plan your visit accordingly

This is a very old palace, about 423 years old, lovely place, to see from outside it looks like a small house, but inside is a big campus, is open from 9am to 12.30pm and later I think re opens at 4pm. You will get to see king's ways of living and the architecture, place to hide, queen's room etc.

A very big and nice old palace spread in a few acres. It's full of teak wood. There are instructors at the key locations to talk about the space and the king. There is no proper electrical lighting inside and even the armour museum was closed due to electricity issues when I visited. Should take a maximum of 1-1 .5 hrs for a good visit.

One of the important historical places in kanyakumari. The place was kept so clean and plastic free, guides were kept at several points inside the palace for explanation. Need to keep socks handy as they aren't allowing footwear inside the palace. Food and drinks were quite overpriced. Very minimal entry tickets for indian visitors. Buses available from nagercoil and thuckalay. Overall good experience.

It is a nice place and children should know about, the old king's life and their culture. At least every one should visit once in their lifetime. One of the most beautiful and biggest wooden palace in India. Palace is mesmerizing. Beautiful scenery and one can see hill behind palace which adds extra beauty to the palace. It is near about 400 years old. Need better preservation and maintenance. Illumination is low but that gives it an illusive look. Inside the palace few guides available, they explain about the importance topics of it nicely. It was the original capital of the Travancore Dynasty and this palace was their original palace before they shifted their capital and palaces to Trivandrum. It's a protected monument now under the Archaeological survey of Kerala. A good Historical place. Entry fee 40 for adults and 20 rupees for mobile photography.

This is second time I am revisiting. There were lots of properties and things lot place where allowed to see in 2014 . Now in 2024 there very less picture painting properties were able to see very less place where allowed to see. Don't know in future you will be able to visit. Visit this amazing place very soon.

Beautiful temple which is spread over 5 acres. If you are visiting from elsewhere take a tour from a local. We were fortunate enough to have a guided tour from one of the priests over there. The Dancing Hallway, Musical Pillars with beats and also different musical instrument pillars are my favourites in the temple. Ideology, Philosophy and Architecture are mesmerizing. One of the best temples i visited on my trip.

It is best to hire guide otherwise you take much longer and miss a few items. One highlight of the temple is music pullers which only a guide can demonstrate. Over a nice experience. Must visit temple. Very ancient with amazing energies. There are very fine aspects to the architecture, including the geometry. Suchindaram has a root meaning 'to clear'. This temple clears vaastu dosh, pitra dosh, etc. There are beautiful instruments to clear planetary effects, metallic musical poles and multiple deities with awesome construction of the temple. It is very ancient. A guide will be useful. No photography is allowed inside so leave your phone and bag outside before going ahead. Timings are specific.

Tanumalayappan is the presiding deity in this temple. Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara in single idol is worshipped as Tanumalayappan. There is also a moolastham for the Lord here and a huge Nandi statue in front of the main sanctum. The temple has Navagraha shrine and the Hanuman here is very huge and is worshipped by all devotees. The chariot has intricate carvings and temple pond with ornamented Mandapam and tall temple tower is also a great attraction.

Very ancient temple near Nagercoil. You can visit this place while visiting Kanyakumari from Kerala. It's in-between kerala and tamilnadu. Nice temple, very nice architecture. This temple is of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva all together. There is also a 80 feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman Ji. Men need to remove their upper body clothing before entering the temple.

There will be many priests in the temple who appear to volunteer and start to explain and guide groups who appear to be new to the temple. In the end you will be put in a delicate position to pay them around 500 or more.. if you just want to be on your own and don’t need any guidance, politely avoid contact with them in the start and continue your way.. other than this, it was such a divine experience, it portrays the rich heritage and culture of Tamil Nadu. For men, shirts and banyans are not allowed inside the temple. For ladies, western wear not allowed. Archanai ticket is only Rs.10 per person.

The top represents “Sthanu” name of Siva, the middle “Mal” name of Vishnu, and the base “Aya” name of Brahma. Navaghra is in ceiling. That's so unique. Parking is available.

The monolithic granite statue of the Lord Hanuman is 18 feet tall which The represents 'visuvaroopam'. The musical pillars of the alankara mandalam is really amazing. A beautiful and divine experience and a lot of positive vibration.

The carvings are exceptionally fine dressed. Not only to the columns, the ceilings also do have very fine sculptures. I bow my head to those people who have us such a rich heritage. The rituals also performed systematically. The great devote Hanuman presents magnificent Darshan. Not so crowded. The place is quiet and pleasant. Take time to see the great work.

Temple open timing would be Anchineyar 4 AM - 1 PM, 4PM - 8 30 PM Mulasthanam - 4 30 AM - 11 30 PM, 5 PM - 8 PM We reached sharp 1 PM as the mulasthanam was closed we stayed in the maadam till 4pm and waited in the temple for another 1 hour but it worth visiting, very peaceful.

Unique Temple where the Moolasthanam has Bramha, Vishnu & Shiva. Also you have a seperate Perumal sannidhi. The hanumanji 's tall Vigraha is the most famous in this temple. Very close to the Nagercoil Junction Railway station.

Absolutely divine. Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are the main idols along with Lord Aiyappa Swami and Veer Hanuman. Sounding pillars are wonderful and amazing. I especially like to see the Priest explaining the beauty and history to devotees.

Old temple with a lot of religious significance. This is a sort ofultiplex of Bhrahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, Ganapti. There is a large idol of Hanuman with its tail covering it's head. The legend says that Hanuman's tail was very hot after burning Lanka and it need to be cooled down using butter. Please beware of pandas and poojari who will fleece you at every corner on the pretext of darshan or some ritual or even sweets

Very well kept and maintained! Such a marvellous architectural galore. Visible from the main road. A hint of white in front of the beautiful never ending ocean line! The views from outside the mandapam are definitely worthwhile. Especially while the sun is setting! Definitely worth a visit!!

Nothing much here You can see the old painting, on that about the Mahatama Gandhi life described if you want you can wait here for 30 minutes max. But for me 15 minutes was more because there was nothing much interesting according to me. Renovation work is going on.

Personally I would like to say it's a waste of time visiting this place. There is nothing to see in this place. Only a monumental structure and few good photography background. They sometimes charge you donetion from the tourist for its modification and etc purpose. But if you like to visit new new places and experience all kind of experiences then you can visit this place.

As usual, people are not allowed in their usual dress like other temples in south India. I just hate this part. They want us to come vare chest and lungi in front of ladies and specially in this temple which belongs to Kumari Kanya. There is forced fees at the entry and when you ask why are you taking it then they say it's volunteer fees for Mantainenece. I mean I just don't understand if they do have money for maintaining this temple. Really, govt is not giving them any grants or they have no wealth inside or people do not donate. I find it waste but religiously I found it good. See God is equal for every one, poor or rich, young or old, make it female. But these useless pandits there are greedy.

If you want you can, otherwise no one forces you. Male devotees must go bare chest inside temple. Women can wear any traditional cloth. However this allows you to get a close view of the devi. The nose ring that devi has is said to be a powerful mark in the history of Kanyakumari ,and is worshipped for its power.It holds such a beautiful aura. The architecture, the walls ,everything is designed so well and is maintained with the same pureness. Prasad can be obtained from the counters outside, which costs around 100-150.

Kanyakumari temple is dedicated to Godess parvati in her reincarnated swaroop Kanyakumari or kumari Amman . Prasad and shoe collection counter is in the premises. No dress code- just dress modestly. Its quiet old temple and offers amazing architectural aesthetics. Various statues and idols within the temple are carved marvellously. Not much crowded (except on special days) , otherwise all time of the day minimal crowd is there. When in Kanyakumari why skip this place 😜.

During an early morning visit to sunset Beach, we found beautiful views and nature's fury of massive waves smacking the boulders. However, humanity chose to leave the evidence of their filthy existence everywhere. Felt great to be in the southern most part of Indian subcontinent.

A very beautiful place to visit. I love to visit it. I think everybody have to visit this place atleast once in his whole lifetime. There's lot of car parking available with snacks shop surrounded by it. Many people try to get down to beach but police personnel present here to watch them as tides are heavy. Other than viewing sunset this place is definitely suitable for relaxation with a good view.A best place to see the sunset. Most people do not go to this site. Don't miss this side of Kanyakumari. It is fantastic, calm, and beautiful. There is not much sandy beach here but rocks to sit and enjoy the view and sound. Ample of parking spots around the beach area and nice walking path between the spots and beach which provides a refreshing walk and something to remember as a cherishing memory. Many food hawkers here for snack items. Dustbins are there on the roads near the beach so please do not throw waste on the beach like many others have done.

The interesting fact at Kankyakumari is you can view both sunrise and sunset from same viewpoint. The area gets crowded during these times and get ready to spend a good time here. This is a lovely place to take photos of the various changes that happen in the colors of the sky and water and suggest you also use the services of a professional photographer there.

Very beautiful view of sunset from the beach. Lot of people come here to enjoy this serene beauty. The reddish orange blooming going into the sea is definitely a thing to watch at least once if you plan to visit kanyakumari.

The sight of the sunset is astounding, but the place isn't very clean, a heap of clothes strewn against the rocks in the sand, ruins of a road and a seating area, maybe. Has so much potential that isn't being utilised. Having said that, watching the sun set in this place is something you SHOULD NOT miss. Just get there earlier and stake your claim on a rock

We went for stroll on the shore side, viewed the Thiruvalluvar status and Vivekananda rock from the Sunrise points. We climbed the view tower to see the sunset. This is simply amazing to see ! What a location to see the sunset. The sunset was amazing to see with orange background and rumbling seas hitting the rocks on shoreline. There was an moderate crowd there. Once the sunset, almost all left and we decided to spend few minutes in the strong wind top of the view tower. Then, came the amazing moment. The whole sky turned orange in colour and sea and oceans around reflected them ! This is one amazing moment. We got up around 4:30 AM, bathed and went to see the sunrise at sunrise point. Sunrise point is just behind the Amman temple on the Kanyakumari Beach. There were already around 3000 people there! One can sight beautiful sunrises anywhere in Kanyakumari, but, this place is quite special. The sun rises between the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruvalluvar statue !

Calm and Magical! . Great place to relax and feel the cold salty wind Breeze through your hair and enjoy the setting of the Sun. . Just 10 minutes drive from boating point. . Ample free parking space, chargeable washroom facility is also there which is a little far (50-100 m from beach side), some snack options also you would find there. . There are enough rocks and walls to sit on and enjoy. . ADVISE: come a little early(5-5:15pm) to attain the front rocks seats otherwise other people's heads would hinder the beautiful sunset and be cautious where you sit, choose your rock wisely. . A serene and lovely spot on the last land of India. The vast Indian ocean shows its might in full fury as the tides grow high. It is recommended to wear non slippery footwear if you wish to climb the rocks for viewing sunset. Lot of vendors and parking spots available in the vicinity, just a public restroom is missing.

Went on a weekday but was still very crowded during sunset time. The sunset happens over the sea for a few months and moves towards the land for a few months.. Obviously the sunset over the sea is more beautiful.

To feel the awesome breeze alone this is a good spot. There are some seats available to enjoy the view and the wind carrying the ocean fragrance dashing on our face. If management could maintain the place it would be better. The best time to visit is 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM. Some people are taking baths naked. It would be better if they won't allow that.

Awesome sunset. Crowded. The views are amazing. From kanyakumari temple auto will charge 80rs. If you have time it's better to walk since the sea shores are neatly managed.

The view is absolutely fantastic. The sun going down below the sea is so magical. The place can be viewed from the beach ,but requires perfect weather. However when cloudy it won't be seen well. The wind blowing continuosly through your hair is such a perfect combo with the scenery. There is a view tower also for seeing the sunset.

Very nice Rocky calm beach near kanyakumari actual beach. If you are beach Lover and love calmness this is the place. There are small vendors selling food, tea etc. People are honest they don't overprice to the tourists.i visited this spot regularly during my stay

Went to the sunset point in a Sunday evening. Got there about half an hour before sunset time. We were able to find parking space for the car pretty easily. By the time the sun sets , the place is packed with people. I quite enjoyed the sunset view more than the sunrise.

I can't express my feelings about this place. This is a really wonderful place in all of Tamil Nadu, even in India. Everyone can visit once and feel the vibes. I spent 2 hours there, I was thinking of spending more time and enjoying nature. The sunset with beach sea water noise was a really unforgettable moment of my life. Loved it.

Kanyakumari means tip of India. Here is the confluence of three oceans. Especially sunset point is very attractive place. One should stay 20 to 25 minutes after going up this place at the time of Sunset.

Actually the view point is sooo awsome ,,,kovalam beach is so beautiful that waves and those sounds of waves. You can immerse i to the beauty of ocean. Sunset will be look gd if it doesnt have many clouds and maybe if it full moon day time , u can see both moon to be raising. Unfortunately i dnt hv an opportunity to see.bt gd place to njy. Nice place for an amazing sunset view from the point. Very good point for sunset photography. You need to go little early to avoid crowd and attain front rock to sit and view the wonderful sunset.

We visited sunset & sunrise points of Kanyakumari but due to cloud we missed setting & rising of sun. Sea beach was a really fun, we have taken lots of photos & videos. There is a place where laser show is shown. It was good.

The location is good and clean as we can see in most of the tourist places in TN. You can have the amazing sunset view from the point as well as the small structure made at the point for a better view. Lots of rocks that can be used for having some peace time!!!

You have to pay 50rs if you come in car to visit this stinky smelly place of a beach. What a horrible beach it is . It stinks to the core and there was a dead car near the beach rocks . While entering the kaniyakumari road you have to pay 50rs and for entering the beach through car you have to pay another 50rs. Worst beach ever

It was my first time in Kanyakumari, and this Sunset point is where I visited first. Pretty neatly-kept place, with huge parking space and many local vendors selling snacks, fried fish, random seashell items. Pretty neat - overall, but there are 0 waste bins, and the visitors carelessly throw plastic and paper wastes near the beach area. There are many street dogs too, but not much of a menace. Definitely longing to go back! :)

Its on the main road and very near to railway station. I can say there are only few statues of wax into this museum. The more fun part is the 3D art. You can take lots of the pictures of these arts. When you see into camera its just look too real. There is an also VR box experience there with extra tickets. For the wax and 3D arts its only 100 per person price for both arts. Staff is very helpful they can even show you some pose that really look amazing in 3D arts. You can also find toilet facility into the room. Wax Museum ticket - 100. 9D Movies ticket - 60. VR experience - 60.

It is a fun place to visit with your families. There were wax figures of great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Barack Obama, Einstein etc. There were also 3D paintings which provides an optical illusion experience. The staff was very nice. She helped out in clicking our photos. Personally, I like the Dashing Car and VR and 9D show more.

Not worth spending 100rs per person wherein you see the almost wax statues (not sure if it's actually wax or just cement). Just one or two replicas are made to look too real. Rest are not upto the mark (compared to the other ones in India). A one time visit if you do not have anything left to see in Kanyakumari. But definitely not worth 100rs per head.

The first wax museum in India. The statues are really good but it feels like quite a high charge to visit this. Rs.100 Entry fee collected for one person and nothing much special inside. Some pre painted arts are there inside and it's funny to take photos there. It's located near the railway station itself.

It's an ok ok place, along with wax statues they also have a 3d painting exhibition, this is pretty okay, and few other things for which we didn't go, since kanyakumari is a small place, and not a lot of things to do, this can be one of the places to be visited in the evening times

Its a good place to visit but not enough art their collection to be charging such high prices. The wax figures were melting and damaged and should be better maintained. The 9D movie was also short nor was it thrilling. We visited with our 2 kids on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy at all. The Entire visit was completed within 30 minutes.

The entry for the wax museum is 120 per head. It needs a lot of improvement. It was not interesting at all and felt like a waste of time and money.

A serene place to spend time with family and friends while enjoying watching the sea. The fort is well maintained and overall clean. On one side, there was an isolated beach. Whereas on the other side was a beach with some tourists. We could also see the windmills far away. There's nothing much to see otherwise. We were hoping to catch the sunset from this, but unfortunately, it closes by 5 pm. It's better to go there early when it opens around 10 am or just before it closes in the evening to avoid the peak sun. Entry Fee: Rs 25/- They have enough dedicated parking spaces, and vehicles can be parked on the roadsides as well.

Fort is well maintained and nothing much for sight seeing. If you have a plan to visit this place,I would recommend to visit there in the morning and evening time, so you could enjoy great scenarios from the top of the fort. Lawns are very well maintained. They collect entrance fees. It would be a good place for family picnic as kids can play in the broad lawn.

The 18th century Travancore kingdom's coastal defence fortification is a seaside fort. We can see huge walls made up of granite stones, and some huge steps to climb on the top region of the fort. There was nothing to see anything useful, since only huge walls and some trees. Not many sun shades for the tourists, we need to sit/stand under some random trees. And not to forget to mention that we can have a beautiful view of the sea. There is an entry fee for everyone, but it is free for children under 15. And lastly the steps are very huge and deep so elderly people need to care before arriving at this tourist place.

Why would I rate this 5 is because it is still being maintained properly. The ambience is awesome though small, yet you may experience a very superb vibe when you walk around and stand on the fort that is built on the sea bed. The view make you baffling and I never have seen the sea in such a beautiful color except in some travel shows. A spectacular view from top of the fort. I would recommend people and travellers to visit this place for experiencing a different view and feel. This fort has a history which is written as you enter the fort. A good place to visit in morning or evening. Not recommended on afternoon. The sea view from fort is breathtaking. There is entry fee and parking fee. There is also vattakottai beach which is near by. Need to climb steps and walk to visit the views. It is 10 minutes away from Sunrise point.

This beach is located 4 KMs north of Kanyakumari, ahead of Kanyakumari if one is proceeding from Nagercoil. This is well accessible by road. ; Relatively a quiet beach; not crowded because it is very small; good sandy beach; as the name suggests 'vattam' means 'circle' kottai means fort. This beach has a spectacular view from the vattakotai fort adjacent to it. The contour of the beach is circular, as against straight in many other beaches in Goa or Merina beach in Chennai.; Somewhat rocky; a bit isolated from mainland; so take all precautions; do not venture late in the evening; one can combine a visit to vattakotai Fort and the beach together. Cabs or auto riksha from Kanyakumari junction will take you to this place; take enough eatables and a lot of water to drink; sun glass is a must, a large round cap will be helpful; nice coconut gardens all around; quite scenic. Fantastic view of the roaring seas. Well maintained. Sturdy granites, green trees, waves crashing against the shore and clear blue sky creates a peaceful atmosphere. You can also see the wind farm at a distance along the Bay of Bengal coast.

The site is cleanly maintained inside...you can spend 30 minutes inside the facility and then if you want in beach. Parking area is limited to 20 cars and floors are severely damaged. ₹25 is collected for cars and again ₹25 for everyone who enters ... The site could be better maintained with a garden and some more trees , a snacks and tea shop etc. Lot other things can be done to attract tourists and facilities for them.

An old fort along the sea shore. Good to visit in the evening as the tree shades were less. Maintained in greenery, neat and clean. One can have a good view of the sea. Also you can take bath in the sea which has a different route at the side of the fort.

A calm and serene place. No crowd but just the noise of sea waters and breeze. Good stress buster. Since it is under an archeological site, they collect entrance fees which are a little high for this small location. However, the place is well maintained. We can spend 1 hour enjoying and taking excellent snaps.

Very old fort with walls still intact. Makes for a good walking park. Very good views of the sea and electro windmills in the distance. Appears to be very popular with local tourists.

The place gives great views of the Sea and Windmills farms. Entry fee is 25rs per person and has parking space with an extra 25rs per vehicle. The ground floor has some greenery and pond. The top floor gives the awesome views. It's not a typical fort, more of an enclosed area with high walls. Also these days it seems to be more of a space for couples, than a tourist place.

One star less for lack of stairs and being hot. 15 minutes drive from Kanyakumari beach. 30 Rs for a car and Rs25 for offline and Rs 20 for online ticket through website. Only bay of Bengal is present. Only 2 stairs. 🐊 reservoir is empty since few years. Good architecture with defense mechanisms. Lots of Neem trees 🌳 Drinking water is available inside. Toilet present outside. Works as place for unmarried couples.

A fort of 18th century founded by the Travancore kings at sea side near Kanyakumari. Most of the part of the fort are demolished by the enemies. The remains made a beautiful place to enjoy silence along with the enchanting views of sea and nearby hills.

Vattakottai Fort is a seaside fort near Kanyakumari( just 6 km).It was built in the 18th century as a coastal defence-fortification and barracks in the former Travancore kingdom.Great se views from top of the fort.Entry is 20 rs ( if i remember right). For keralitis, some scenes of the legendary padmarajan's movie Moonam pakkam(3ആം പക്കം) was shot here and nearby places. I remember that from the movie, and actually came here to get a feel of it. It would be great, if you can visit in the evening.

Every year I visit the church in December during the festival time. We can get positive vibes during the visit. The surroundings of the place are clean. Exact year of construction not known..But seeing the architecture it seems to be constructed during the Portuguese rule..That is during early 18th century.. Church looks great coloured in white.. Surrounding area has got fisherman houses.. Very close to the sea & Vivekanand rock.. Taking a four wheeler can be a problem as roads to the church are too narrow.. Don't worry..It's walking distance from most of the spots at Kanyakumari..

The amazing all white colour catholic church is beautifully designed with stunning architecture. It's very close to the scenic beach and Vivekanand Memorial of Kanyakumari. The pearl white Church looks awesome in night time. The Church is well maintained and very peaceful place for prayer. Timing is 5am to 6.30 pm. If you are staying in nearby hotels you can also enjoy the stunning view of Sunrise and sunset, just walking few meters. Visit and enjoy beautiful surroundings !!!

It was fun walking alongside with the water channel connecting to another village. Evening times would be nice to walk and click few scenic pictures with friends and family members. Good time to be spent.
