The beach was beautiful and lots of amenities nearby. The sand is very hot underfoot to walk on the dunes. The dunes are definitely a must see in Gran Canaria a great experience. Be aware nude sunbathers around.

The west end of the beach near the lighthouse was pretty crowded even in January, and lined by noisy, overpriced bars and cafés. It felt rather tacky and touristy compared to beaches on the north side of the island. The east end, towards Playa del Inglés, was quieter, but the whole area was very chilly in the wind. Good for the handful of kite surfers, but not if you're hoping to enjoy the beach. On the plus side, the views are nice along the coast and across the lake towards the mountains. The dunes behind the beach are much quieter and more picturesque, and well worth a visit.

The beach is quiet and good, there are a number of local shops and restaurants there, the sand is very fine and clean, and it is possible to take a shower. The lifeguard is also based there and it has a safe and beautiful environment. We rented two beds and an umbrella, which cost seven euros and fifty cents. You have to pay by card. The toilet there is not free and you have to pay one euro, but the toilet was clean.

Clean and warm water, good access to toilets and taps, shelter and good restaurants too. Only downside I will say is a bit difficult parking, the nearest is like 12-15min walking

The famous dunes are a favorite! We enjoy taking a walk to the lighthouse and back, of course climbing most dunes every time! Remarkably, it's 29 degrees Celsius in January!

The most beautiful beach in the area, maybe even the best one on the Island. Wide and very clean, open ocean view, hotels/city on the one side (so it's easily accessible) and the dunes on another-looks gorgeous! Definitely worth the drive, even if you are not staying in the area, highly recommend this one!

Miles of sandy beach with the Maspalomas Dunes behind. There are kiosks that serve food and drink. Life guards are on duty. There are nudist areas. Hammocks and umbrellas are available to hire.. 2 sunbeds + umbrella = €7. Or you can just lay on a towel

We went to Palmitos Park and I was rather disappointed in comparison to other zoos on the canaries. Beautiful orchids in the orchid garden. I enjoyed the dolphins, definitely go to both shows if you have time as they are different shows. The road travelling in is a bit hairy in places. The signage could be better. Large car park. Lots of toilets. Great restaurant, reasonable priced meals. The gift shop is expensive.

Not a bad zoo by any means, but not sure if it's worth the price. Definitely a lot to see, but nothing particularly spectacular. Add the steep uphill climb and the scorching hot weather and it becomes quire a risk for heat stroke. There are a few shows, of which we seen the one with dolphins and it was nice. Quite a lot of exotic birds which was nice. There is a restaurant there but it is really expensive for what it is. So would recommend bringing your own food.

Had a fantastic day out here with our little one. Not too big of a place, but very steep hills/steps. Plenty of places to stop and sit down. The animals were all great and could see them closely, but the best by far is the dolphins. Would go back again just for them.

Amazing park in Gran Canaria with lots of local animals, a big variety of birds with very interesting bird shows in the mountainous areas. dolphin shows are also very entertaining. It’s perfect for family day out. A really fun and lonely experience. Definitely should visit if you are at the island and love animals :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this zoo! It was massive and we spent nearly 5 hours there!! So much to see and different shows on at different times! The dolphin show was amazing! Such talented and amazing creatures!! You can tell their animals are well cared for and happy! There was lots of restaurants also but we didn’t eat there! They also had an aquarium and a butterfly house! I recommend buying tickets before hand as it is cheaper!

absolutely beautiful park. we booked tickets through our hotel and got a €3 discount per person and our 2 year went free. the dolphin show was amazing! there were many seats available and lots of shading. we also saw the birds of prey show and i got to catch an eagle on my arm. however there was no shading for this show so it got quite hot sat in the 90°F weather. this park does require tons of walking so be prepared for that. expect to spend at least 4-5 hours here especially if you are with young children.

Great zoo with plenty to see and do. It’s built on a hill so be prepared for some walking but it’s very much worth it. Plenty of places around to get water and drinks when it’s hot and plenty of toilet facilities too. Don’t miss the indoor bird house where for €2 you can get a little tub of bird milk and the birds will land on your hand to drink it. Dolphin show is fantastic too and you can get your picture take with the dolphin. Overall great day out for and adults and families.

Palmitos is quite simply the best park of its kind. To watch the birds of prey being flown out over the Canyon is a joy to behold, closely followed by the gorgeous exotic birds. The dolphin show is better than anything we've seen in Florida.

We really enjoyed our visit to Palmitos Park. It was a very hot day and there's lots of walking involved but there are lots of shaded areas you can stop and get refreshments. The dolphin show was amazing. You get the opportunity to have a photo taken with the dolphins (at an extra cost). There's a huge variety of birds there and and walk through butterfly House. Definitely recommend going here

A great place for the family or friends, loads of interesting animals to see and a few shows to see, there is a few photo opportunities with some of the animals but you do have to pay. prices for food and drinks were quite expensive so i would bring your own if your not prepared to splash out. Overall we had a lovely experience there.

Really good zoo set amongst the volcanic mountains. Picturesque setting but very steep pathways to negotiate so need to be fairly agile An amazing collection of animals, all well looked after. Exotic bird show, raptor show and the best dolphin show I've ever seen are all included with entrance fee. You need to allow at least three hours for a complete your. Well worth a visit if you're ever in Gran Canaria

Fantastic park in Gran Canaria. If you hire a car 15 minutes drive from Maspalomas. The park is in the mountains so only recommend well experienced drivers otherwise use taxi or bus ( both reasonable price ) We stayed 5 hours but can easily spend more time. Be prepared a comfortable shoes and clothes lots of walk up and down on the hill. Highly recommend Birds of Pray and Dolphins show. Birds of pray show there is no shelter so take a hat, suncream and plenty of drinks with you. Dolphins show perfectly in the shades. Food and drink price is the same like every other tourist spots but queue is quite long. Plenty of bench so you can sit and ate your own pack lunch. You can have a photo with dolphins, eagles or parrots for a bit extra money. Overall highly recommend and fantastic memory for our family !

Brilliant park, very well laid out with places to get out of the sun/heat. Lovely seeing the animals. The Dolphin show was my favourite part of the park oh and the Birds of Prey. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good with friendly staff 😋 My only complaint would be the busy service No.70 from Global Buses, an absolute disgrace.

Amazing day out, even though the weather was 49c the day we were there. The only advice is to take extra drinks and snacks as the prices are very expensive!! The Dolphin show was fantastic and very well trained. Staff were lovely.

Palmitos Park is an amazing park! Great atmosphere. Saw plenty of shows, both engaging and entertaining. It is a small park but still spent four hours in it! Bird show on top of the summit offers some incredible views of the birds in motion as well as the surrounding hills, mountains scenery. Definitely one to visit! Walked straight in to buy tickets, no wait. Wasn't necessary to but our tickets in advance.

Somewhat off the beaten track - make sure you follow the signs along the valley floor. Worth the entry fee this is a well laid out animal park with plenty of shows to experience. Whilst there are food and beverage facilities available we enjoyed a pack lunch at one of the many seating areas . Alow a full day to see everything, making sure not to miss the shows by checking the times at the entrance.

Found this place and thought we would visit quite out of the way so cost quite a bit by taxi to get here, didn't need to que to get in which was nice but 35 euro per adult, we saw meerkats kimono dragon and lots of different birds. You can go and watch them fly, dolphins again can watch a show and an aquarium, lots of places to eat and rest and an amazing orchid house, had a really good day the only thing to note is its very hilly so be prepared to walk.

Our family was so happy in the park but only reason for a 4 stars is the price for everything. We all know the park cost a lot for water, food, and other things but you can easily spend €200 for this event. Also there is so hot. There is nothing ebove your head when you're on the dolfins show. Otherwise the shows and the park is great. You can buy tickets and food online and some money. The pizza was great, chicken nuggets with chips also. The coke was huge. Check the shows timetable and you can save some steps.

Lovely natural park. Mainly birds but a few small mammals and reptiles plus dolphin, butterflies, orchids, and an aquarium. Rather pricey with no concessions for pensioners. Walking not for the faint hearted or disabled. Couple of restaurants and plenty of snack points, and toilets throughout. Ample parking or get a bus or taxi.

Absolutely fantastic day out. Well laid out park that has several shows to see. There's an interactive show where you can touch the animals and birds,a dolphin show that is great, and the birds of prey where you are right in the middle of the action. Multiple photo opportunities where you can pay 10€ for a picture with a dolphin or birds of prey. Did is pretty expensive but no bag check, so take your own if you want to. Catch the 45 bus up into the mountains or 20€ ish for a taxi from Playa Del Ingles

Lots of animals, especially birds. You can hold birds in your hands, on your head, and on your shoulders for pictures, but it costs money, it didn't bother me at all. 4 different shows per day. You can buy a ticket with which you can take a photo with With a dolphin. You can also feed fish and emus for two euros. Emu can bite a little. There is an aquarium and a butterfly room and a greenhouse. I highly recommend.

A wonderful zoo and botanical gardens, very well laid out and well kept. The dolphinarium show was absolutely outstanding, the dolphins seem really happy and their show is both educational and breathtaking. The trainers are super talented too.

One of the best places to visit in Gran Canary. I walked across the dunes, what an experience. It's amazing how the dunes are formed naturally. You feel like being in the middle of a dessert. Lovely views and unique pictures spots. You shouldn't miss this experience if on Gran Canaria.

Simply beautiful at sunset or sunrise! During day even night ! When you’re on island you must go through to experience this desert like place . We’ve parked near Avenida De Alemania and walked through the dunas to the beach. It’s about 20min tough walk if you’re with young kids . And sun + 30 degrees doesn’t help 🥵. But it was well worth it .

Such a scene! Desert by the sea. The sand is very fine and soft to walk on. Avoid daytime to go there because the surface will be super hot. Best time is around sunset. You also see the sunsetting view.

Very unique place on the island. Worth a visit for sure, but we had seen plenty after walking through the dunes from Meloneras to Playa Del Ingles. It's a fun walk but come prepared and don't go on the hottest day of the week. There is some nice roads through the dunes that you can follow or you can go your own way through the hills of sand and explore if you want. There is also the beach around the edge towards the sea which is very popular but plenty of space for everyone.

A beautiful natural wonder located in the southern part of Gran Canaria. It covers 400 hectares. It is a combination of active dunes, an oasis, a beautiful beach by the Atlantic Ocean. It is surrounded by the famous resort of Maspalomas. I also recommend a leisurely walk along the ocean with a view of the stunts of the kite surfers

Very cool, desert like area with a nature conservation space. Nice for photos and a difficult walk across the dunes. I recommend sun cream and plenty water.

This is a fabulous place to visit, a small patch of the Sahara at the southern tip of Gran Canaria. The dunes are beautiful and well worth visiting. Be advised, you will encounter nudists when you travel through the area, and I would advise wearing against walking barefoot if you venture off the paths.

These are a wonderful expanse of sand dunes that form part of a nature reserve. I read they extend to about 980 acres and certainly they are vast. We spent a couple of hours walking along the roped off paths between them and enjoying them as well as plenty of lovely photo opportunities. Part of the dunes were destroyed back in the 70’s and flora and wildlife lost but the island has a project to reinstate them over time. They sit behind Maspalomas beach so we walked past them first on the beach then walked up the far side (west) and up the back and through them again. We visited on a late Saturday afternoon and were slightly disturbed by the amount of male “cruising”, pairing and going behind bushes that was going on around one of the central paths of the sand- dunes as so obvious what was going on.

We had an amazing day here walking over the stunning sand dunes and along the beach. We walked from the view point along the back and promenade to the cafes at the beach then along the shore line towards the lighthouse. It was fun running up the dunes and standing on the top of some of them. You could see the wind blowing interesting patterns on the floor and see the sand coming towards you. The sand blowing in your face stang a bit, so make sure you wear sunglasses to keep it out of your eyes. When we got home our clothes were full of sand. It was so hot you needed plenty of sun screen and water to drink. Their was life guard and first aid stations and it was lovely listening and watching the waves crash up the pebbly beach. If you are easily offended by people on the nudist beaches I would suggest you walk at the back away from the beach. Definetly worth a visit to the place where some films have been made. Their are cafes and bars at either end of the walk. We took it very slow over 2 hours.

This beach is incredible. Love it! Really nice beach to take a long walk along the water. Bring sandals to walk on the dunes as it gets burning hot when the sun is up.

A must do and see! The view is amazing. Countless sand dunes, the sand is warm and easy to walk through. You can enjoy the sunset there, just bring something warm with you 😉 You will find a path to enter the access but you can get there throughout the way.

Breath-taking. Mesmerizing. Best to visit a few 1-2hrs before sunset so that it's still bright but not too hot to explore the dunes. Definitely the number one must-see if you visit Gran Canaria

We visited Maspalomas Dunes around midday by bus. The dunes were great, and luckily, it wasn't too crowded. The sand was hot, but that didn't deter from the experience. One thing to consider is that the nearby beach isn't very family-friendly due to many people walking around without covering up in a public place. Keep this in mind if you are planning to visit.

Really nice place to visit, right next to the beach. The sand dunes are stunning. You can walk them easily but sand is extremely hot, make sure you have appropriate footwear.

Like small sahara. Just beautiful. Went there twice: First time strong wind and sand everywhere, next time wind was actually refreshing and was lot better to walk there in the sun.

Incredibly beautiful place. Magical, even mystical. The sand is as fine as dust in places and glistens like living gold. Particles of magnetic black sand make it even more interesting. I am overwhelmed by the beauty of this place. You have to see it with your own eyes and experience it with your own skin/feet.

Beautiful spot. There are marked paths to walk along and enjoy the dunes. Unfortunately, there are many ignorant tourists who ignore the signs not to cross in to the prohibited area. It has degenerated again since Covid. I brought my family here one night and as a result, have reduced my rating to 1 star….the dunes are covered in people. Very sad that signs are ignored. Don’t bother coming at sunset - it’s the selfie-taking IG crew covering the dunes from top to bottom.

A stunning place to visit, especially at sunrise and sunset. I'd recommend the viewing platform near the Riu hotel as the starting point as you can't see much from the beach side walk. The place can get quite windy so check the weather! Anything less than 10 mph wind is good for a walk. We went in January where it wasn't too hot (25°C) so it was perfect for walking around and the sand was warm at night for walking barefoot.

I visited in December. The temperature was about 23 Celsius degrees. The beach was good! Generally, it was windy, and, therefore, it is recommended to wear sun glass and a hat. Otherwise, the winds will transfer the sand into your eyes!

Fantastic dunes with rising piles of golden🏖️ sand. It is best to go there at night to watch the sunset as the sun slowly descends below the horizon 🌅. I would definitely recommend a visit.

A natural wonder in Gran Canaria, endless golden sands! Feels like extension of Sahara and makes you think how this has actually formed! There are even hypotheses around tsunamis that might have brought the sand … This is tranquil oasis and natural beauty! A lot of fun for kids too!

Old shopping center with low level of shops. There are few shops that I can still consider decent, many others are below the average level about my personal opinions. All or almost all the elevators are out of service, that is incredible about my point of view, considering the number of tourists that are visiting this place. Restaurants and pub are the few positive things that I found here.

Lots of fun places, beautiful people and lots of fun there, lots of cute boys, for those who love them, also lots of cute older people, inside the beautiful families. Enough to see for everyone, women and men, adults and children. If somewhere on the English coast, then it is best to haggle there, but not all shops there work that way, but it is characterized by the fact that if you are told "the price is this, But I can let you have this at this price", but then it is almost certain that you can get the product difference; cheaper than you, it is first offered, even though it has been beaten slope of. Be demanding and try to bid very low, and walk away if you do not get that price, but my experience is that in 50% of cases, they run after you and say, ok. Restaurants there are not the cheapest, and not at all the best.

Went here almost every night of put holiday and I'm pretty sure it will be our last stop before we go home, it's everything under one roof, lots of guys trying to get you into there pubs, restaurants can be annoying.... but I said no. Thank you to all and made my own mind up, and not once was I pressured to keep going into those places, we ate in so many places too and never had a bad meal, all the staff inside are so helpful if you want something they don't sell they push you to the shop that does, great gift places too for back home, night life is something else we went to blue heaven, friction, Ricky's to say a few, easy ascess to all and so many to pick from you always get a seat.

This place is mahooosive once into the square. The atmosphere is so different from the daytime to night time where it completely changes into night-club time

Gay capitol of the Canaries but ok and safe for all. The darker corners get a bit seedy at night but equally there are some good restaurants with reasonable prices and a few laughs to be had at the Drag show bars. Getting slightly tatty now but does hale back to the 70's . Worth a visit.

I have just had the most amazing holiday here. The entertainment factor is just incredible. My favourite had to be Ricky’s Cabaret bar but there are so many to choose from for a great night out.

Something for everyone at this shopping centre. They have so many shops with all different kinds of stuff. Also amazing dining experiences with brilliant clubs and all have lovely and friendly staff. Spent a lot of time here as it was close to the hotel. Did not disappoint. Also come here for pride week and the atmosphere was like no other! Amazing place.

This place is a lot of fun! It’s a mainly LGBT destination, so if you’re thinking it as a spot for a family holiday then it may not be exactly what you’re expecting, but there is something for everyone. Lots of shops selling bits and bobs. Lots of places to eat, but mainly in the evening it livens up when all the bars open. It caters for all tastes, drag bars, men only bars. It’s very friendly and I’ve always had a laugh here. Made some friends and always enjoyed myself. Forgot to take many photos but here’s one!

A strange place. When you walk in there’s a place called the ‘bunker’, which espouses ‘fetish pride’…on the same side the square seems devoted to ‘cruising’ bars for men only. Not exactly family friendly. General vibes are not good.

The LGBTQIA+ mecca. By day a concrete shopping centre, by night restaurants, bars and clubs. It's nice to be in the majority for once and not fear holding your husbands hand in public. A shout out to sparkles and Ricky's, 2 drag show and karaoke bars. Taking a step back, I would say it is a little gay man focused, but all in the bars and clubs are welcoming. Plenty of events are held in the open air square in the middle. We missed our on winter pride by a few weeks having just been there last week (13th - 20th Oct), so it's worth checking out what's happening and when.

The center has over 200 shops, including clothing stores, souvenir shops, electronics stores, and souvenir shops. There are also a number of restaurants and bars in the center, making it a great place to go shopping and to enjoy a meal. Yumbo Centre is a popular spot for nightlife, especialy gay nighlife, and there are a number of bars and clubs in the center that stay open late. The center is also a popular spot for street performers, and there are often live music and dance performances in the center.

Shopping centre during the day turns into LGBTQ+ Heaven at night. Over 40 (Gay+) businesses .. bars, restaurants shops, drag shows. It is where the main stage is located during Pride and Winter Pride

You have to be an open minded person to appreciate the 'eclectic' entertainment provided later in the evening. It can also cater to those with carnal needs in some directly named premises 😊. Earlier in the evening however, there is a vast amount of restaurants and bars catering to every taste. So to sum up, it's great to goto for drinks, entertainment, meals and if it's your thing later, clubs of singular taste.

A great place full of bargains, lots of bars and restaurants, large beer is 2.50 euros.

Lots of shops. Places to eat. Plenty of bars. 4 or 5 lifts. Not one working. For wheelchair users this is a disgrace. We would have gone every night of holiday but couldn’t be bothered to struggle getting up steep ramps. Apparently been like this for 12 months Come on get at least one lift working.

Depressing, weird and hollow place. Could maybe find the humour in it if I was there with a large group of friends, drinking myself into oblivion.

Visited in April 22, the park was fairly quite as it was off season although this was to our advantage being hardly any queuing. Great choice of rides at varying thrill level, all well maintained. The cost of refreshments is quite high, but not surprising for a theme park. There was a €4 charge for sunbed hire, which we thought was a cheek given the entry fee. This didn't affect us though as we didn't want to use them, it's all about the slides for us. All in all, it's a great day out.

Visited today and it was nice because it wasn't busy at all so our kids could go on pretty much everything without queues. BUT the price you pay to enter plus paying for sun lounges then a locker then food and drinks. I recommend people take lunch with them as the prices in this park are an absolute joke 2x small pizzas and couple of ice creams I kid you not came to 50 euros! Worth going but be prepared to spend alot!

We visited here on the first week on April 2024 and it was very quick to find, easy to park and get inside. It was a hot but windy day and the park was nice and quiet for the first few hours. We were the only ones in the wave pool for ages, though at this time of year the water is a bit cold, but you adjust to it quickly enough. The day did get much busier but we didn’t spend any longer than 10 minutes waiting to go down a ride. Some rides only had a few people ahead of us. I was expecting to stay a few hours with our two kids but we ended up staying the entire day and did 90% of the rides, a few multiple times. Kids absolutely loved it. Prices are pretty steep if you want food so as others have mentioned, bring your own picnic. Sun loungers are an extra £5, lockers are £7, parking was £5 for the whole day. The park seemed very clean, safe and the staff gave good instructions on what and what not to do. Expect height restrictions for some slides and areas of the pool, but my pretty short 9 year old was allowed on even the fastest of rides. Racer Twin Turbulance and Anaconda were easily our favourite slides. You can’t wear prescription or sun glasses on any of the rides, apart from the lazy river. I’m blind as a bat but still managed to find my way around and enjoy everything. The one mistake I made was not topping up on suntan lotion - you’ll burn very easily with all the sun, water and UV reflections! Keep the suncream and water going the whole day!

We spent a day here in March. No waiting lines and good slides. We had discount from a local tourist shop. Floor was not that rough. Water was quite cold but then again it's not mid summer either so what is there to complain. Overall we had a great stay. Just get 1 or 2 beds with your group because you won't be spending your day on those sunbeds anyways.

Good selection of water slides with different levels. Something for all ages, including nice water park for the youngest kids. Very few and quite expensive options for food. Would definetely consider to bring sandwiches next time.

Highly overpriced aquapark. 35 EURO per adult + 7 EURO for a locker. The locker is very small, so keep in mind that a backpack won't fit in there. We brought our own food and did not have to pay for the expensive food options there, I definitely recommend you to do the same. We tried only two of the slides due to the long waiting times and the so-called "Fast pass". The latter is for people who paid 15 EURO on top of the entrance fee in order to go first on the slides. Don't get me wrong, these two slides were amazing but the waiting is killing your motivation. Last thing - slippers are a must. I wouldn't recommend unless you have a high budget to add a fast pass. Even then, it is the most expensive aquapark that I have ever visited and to be honest, not worth the price.

Wow, what a place. We spent the whole day here, in the sunshine and we made comments how there were life guards at every point we looked at. It was so secure. My daughter, who is 5, isn't a confident swimmer but by the middle of the day, she was up and down the slides on her own. There was so much to do, and for my 10 year old son. We didn't get chance to visit the whole park, but only because we were so happy with what we had already seen and experienced. There is something for all ages, and plenty of loungers, and a price of €5 each. Food was great, we had 2 large Pizzas between us and almost couldn't get through the all. Toilets were being cleaned every time we went in there, and of course, we had to see the gift shop too which had everything we could have needed, aswell as lockers for security. We have a free return pass so cannot wait to spend the last day of our holiday here!!

It was quiet when we were there, so we got on the rides within minutes. Very clean and tidy. As with any kind of park like this, the food there is expensive as are the drinks. There were about 17 rides to choose from and all were really good fun some more thrilling than others.

Great slides BUT this place fleeces you at every point beyond the already expensive entrance fee. Lockers! Sunbeds! Food and drink! All pricey and not worth the money… but you have to do it whilst on holiday with kids don’t you?! I’d have happily stayed on my own at the hotel for a nice quiet day without them 😆 Didn’t pay for the sea lions but saw them anyway, this was my highlight!

Great experience on the slides we got our park tickets with our holiday booking but not sure we would go back if we had to pay. Expensive for below average tasting food and drinks have so much ice in them there's hardly any juice (no lids so flys made their way into it pretty quickly) we were >£30 for a burger, a hotdog 1 chips and 1 drink. Great day for families though we would encourage a packed lunch to get over the pricey food. We have 1 year old twins who didn't really like it as the water was too cold but again big kids will love the variety of slides/splash zones. Few of the slides you need minimum or 3 people but it was easy enough to join in with other smaller groups to make up the numbers.

Great fun for young children. My 2 older sons needed to buy a fast pass though as the waiting queue at every big slide is ridiculous. We saw a girl pass out because of the long queue standing in the burning hot sun... The park is a little outdated and could use a glow up. The pizza's are ok but food and drinks at aqualand are very expensive. They charge 3,50 euro's for a bottle of water. 🙈 Make sure you use enough sunscreen or cover up with uv clothing for there are no shade area's. My youngest son had a blast at the kids area 👏

Great day out!! Rides great fun .. was not too busy when visited but xan i.agine fast track would be good idea at height of season. Other bits of info....You can get return ticket for 13 euro. Lockers 7 euro but you get 2 back... not the largest lockers though! Food prices as per photo, but can take your own. Seperate charge for sunbeds. Can be tough on your feet as some of the paths are course

Great day out with the family. Bring a packed lunch as food and drinks are very expensive. We bought chicken nuggets and chips for 18 Euro. We rented a sun lounger for 5 Euro, which is worth it when you're there all day. As it was July, we knew it was going to be busy, but my 12 year old son still got to go on all the slides. We bought the fast pass for 25 Euro as it was very busy. The kids pools had lots of slides for smaller kids, and my 2 year old had a great time.

It's a great day out, 35 euro entry fee. You then need another 7 euro for a small locker, you can have your phone waterproofed for another 9 euros with a lanyard, which comes in handy to photograph your locker pin number so you can reopen your locker later on. Don't sharpy tattoo the number on your skin. It will rub off. Bring your own food and drink. 2 pizzas and drinks for 2 people were 50 euros. Fast passes will cost you an extra 25 euros each, in my honest opinion you don't need them. We went in high season and the queues weren't that bad, and the way you travel around the park to each ride you don't really gain anything of an advantage. In fact on some rides fast pass queues were longer than the normal queues. Do go its a fun day out and for an extra 55 euro each you can swim with and kiss a sea lion.

Had a lovely day and loved the facilities, we found it to be cleaner than we thought as reviews did make us worry! Lockers are €7 and we payed €10 for two sunbeds which we didn’t think was bad. €5 for a coke but it was massive so felt the value was good. We did the sea lion experience and loved it! Lola was really lovely and seemed happy. The trainers were great, really friendly and informative and we got 40 mins and 5 photos with Lola and another sea lion for €65 each - so worth while! They all seemed well looked after, happy, and had lots of space! We went on the water slides and had fun. However on one we ended up falling out of the dingy in the middle whirlpool part. This was really scary but we managed to get back on and going. We got a bit grazed, including my partners head, so we stuck to the wave pool and lazy river after that! However would definitely return!

Absolutely great place to visit. Lots for adults and kids. Food and drinks are quite pricey. Lockers €7 and you can open and re lock as much as you need. You can have your phone vac wrapped which is very handy for taking all the pics you want. Sunbeds €5 which we never used with being on the slides so much. Great day out just make sure you have plenty of water. It’s a sun trap. Very helpful staff and friendly at the stations for wrapping your phone and lockers.

Brilliant day out. €5 for car parking, €7 for locker, and € €10 for waterproof phone, so do spend bit money before you get in, the food prices are same as any theme park area really expensive. But we did have a good time on all the slides. You can also pay for either to swim with a sealion or your photo with it. We did go at the start of November and was empty, which was nice. I can imagine in peak season it's very busy.

A fantastic day out, plenty for all Age Groups. Sun Beds are €5 and Lockers are €7, which can be returned to all day around with a PIN Code. They are big enough for two small backpacks. Easily Accessible via Public Bus or Local Taxi. Food & Drinks are expensive, there is no avoiding that, do yourselves a favour and take a packed lunch, there are plenty of shaded tabled and chairs. There is a fair amount of maintenance happening at the moment with retaining walls being rebuilt, paths repainted so a slight building site feel. Staff are generally pleasant and helpful ensuring you get on each ride safely. Some of the steps/paths can have some debris so consider investing in some water/aqua shoes which can be kept on the rides.

Had a great time here. Enjoyed most of the rides without any big queues, it was a relatively quiet day. Especially enjoyed chilling on the lazy river. It is quite an expensive day, everything is extra on top of the entrance fee; sun loungers, lockers etc. Food is expensive and very basic. Would recommend bringing your own food / drinks.

The park was easy to get to from Playa del Ingles, it cost around €10 in a taxi and approx 10 mins drive. When you get into the park expect to pay a lot more. Considering we paid around €120 for our waterpark tickets I was shocked to find it was a further €7 for a tiny little locker (you don't get this back) and €5 each for a sunbed which can be pointless if you move around the park a lot! Plus the expensive meals and ice creams we bought on top. They put a little sticker on your sunbed once you've paid so not sure if you can move sunbeds or are stuck with the same one. We arrived early about 10am and a lot of the slides were closed or the water was going that slow that the kids didn't actually slide down it and had to push themselves. I only tried one adult slide which was a lot of fun so can't really comment on those. There was quite a lot of building works going on when I was there so it was a bit like a building site with a large area fenced off which was a bit disappointing but I suppose making improvements can only be a good thing. I do feel there was quite a few slides for older kids and adults which I would of liked to have tried and looked a lot of fun! It's very poorly signposted though, I didn't even realise there was a lazy river until I looked back at reviews on here! The food is EXTORTIONATE so bring your own! We paid €75 for 4 meals of either chicken and chips or burger and chips but they were large portions and tasty. The kids did enjoy the children's pool and it's quite a suntrap so I had a nice sunbathe for a couple of hours. However I personally don't think I would return with kids considering the cost of the tickets plus all of the extras, it's an absolute tourist trap and not worth it with very young kids just to play in the children's area.

We had a really good day out at Aqualand. We bought the tickets in a deal with Palmitos Park tickets. You get a discount if you buy for both. It's easy to get a bus there, and it stops right outside. Once inside, you can get a locker to store your stuff while you walk around. You can also get your phone totally waterproofed. They seal it in a bag and you can still use it to take pictures etc. There is a good selection of water rides for children and adults. Also a really big pool that is sloped like a beach, every hour they turn the waves on. There is also an opportunity to swim with sea lions or get a picture with them (at an extra cost). Plenty of food and drink options there, not the cheapest but good quality. If you love being in the water then it's definitely worth a visit!

This was a really nice surprise. Apart from what most visitors write about this lighthouse, we were very impressed with the small museum housed in this building. It gives one a glimpse of the evolution of craftsmanship of the locals. At the museum shop, we got the nicest (authentic made in Gran Canaria) souvenirs. I wish we knew about this place before we bought souvenirs at the touristy commercial shops.

Please do yourself a favour and go watch the sunset 🌅 here, you won’t be disappointed. It’s one of the highlights of our trip to Gran Canaria ✨. It’s one of the best sunsets 🌅 I’ve seen in the world. Not to mention the famous sand dunes which are only a 25 minute walk from the lighthouse , which it’s self is beautiful. The general atmosphere is relaxed and that sky.

A pleasant walk along the beach with good views, several bars and restaurants where you can have a drink, the dunes are nearby.

Great place, my favorite lighthouse. On the third floor there is an observation deck with a beautiful view of the surroundings. On the first and second there is a museum. You can’t touch the exhibits, but there are okulele and bells in the corridor where you can play) The most beautiful showcase with little people and their way of life, antique miniature furniture, dishes, toys. We visit this museum quite often and every time it is interesting to see everything. The only negative is that the toilet is always closed there, or rather, there is a red fence all the time that it is allegedly closed, and today the security guard kicked us out of there. But there is no sign that this is a staff-only toilet. And the toilet was closed and there is every time we visit. I don't think the guard is right. Or put up a sign that it’s for stuff only.

Surrounded by overpriced restaurants but worth the effort. Can get busy once the tour buses arrive.

Nice lighthouse with beautiful scenery with the ocean and palms. Loads of shopping, eating and coffee places close by.

A beautiful spot to watch the sunset, head to the lighthouse for a good place to sit. There are a lot of bars here including a gay bar along the beach. The gay beach is 10-15 minutes walk from here and it has very good bus connections.

Taxis drop you off close to the lighthouse so it is not too far to walk. A tall, thin lighthouse, which is clearly visible from all the local area, atop a box base. The next door hotel was closed for renovation and the post-modernistic brutalism of it's rough concrete design provided a contrast to the smooth lines of the lighthouse itself. Adjacent to the Playa de Maspalomas beach it is suitable for a day visit with restaurants and cafes lining the beach frontage. Finding your way back is easy, as you just look for and head toward the lighthouse, with plenty of taxis to take you where you wish to go. On the seaward side of the lighthouse there were interesting sand sculptures on the day we were there.

This was a very pleasant surprise, we thought it was just a lighthouse but turned out to be a very good museum as well. You can climb up to the roof which is the second floor which gives a good view of the coastline and the sand dunes. The little museum is excellent with lots of touch screens giving loads of information. The connection with Columbus was very informative and interesting 😁

Lovely promenade walk by the lighthouse and cafes and (overpriced) shops for those who like to indulge. The walk way was busy but pleasant and goes a few kilometres I think.

Fantastic place for walking. Many restauants around. There is a musem in the lighthouse. Lovely and big beach. From the beach you can go for walk to Dunes Maspalomas, beautiful relaxing area.

Nice prom and coastline. Parking still is a nightmare. Shops and restaurants are very repetitive. Needs someone to be bold enough to offer something different.

Beautiful lighthouse. Entrance inside and to the terrace is free. I am always interested in the history of the places I visit. And the museum inside the lighthouse helped me understand the history of the island better. At your service there will be interactive screens with a brief history and photographs of the life of local residents. Information on the screen is provided in 3 languages. English, German and Spanish.

Amazing place what everyone needs to visit... Nice waking paths restaurants and shops around the lighthouse. Also the beach side is amazing..

Great wee place to learn about the rum and history behind it. I highly recommend it. And then there's the tasting I smiled the whole way out.

What an amazing night we had from start to finish. Visited on the 7th and would highly recommend. Dont think I've ever laughed so hard.

A must if you are staying in the area. We arrived early and were greeted with big smiles by both the entertainers and waiter. It's a small space... so be sure to get there early to get a good table. The show...wow!! The lovely ladies performing started and 10 and finished at 1am, without a break. All of the sketches had my wife and I in tears. Drinks are well made (cocktails) and offers on beer and shots are available. Thank you Thank you Thank you to Vanity Case, Poppycock and Michael Marouli... you ladies are amazing, one of the best nights of our holiday.

Good show and good atmosphere. The drags were funny and engaging. However the show started 1 hour and a half later than it was supposed to. We didnt mind because we were having some drinks and having a good time. After spending over 40 euros on drinks we were asked if we wanted another round, when we said "not for now" they asked us to leave and rudely said that we cannot stay at the table unless we ordered more drinks. We got up and very annoyed watched a bit more of the show standing up from outside the bar. We decided to ultimately leave when one of the acts consisted of throwing a full package of bread to the crowd. Absolutely immoral to waste food like that.

Fun camp entertainment, great to see a non PC show with people getting ribbed, audience participation and good old fashioned humour. Service was really good and everyone was made to feel welcome. A great night had by all ❤️

The drag acts are all amazing and funny. The standout was Alan though! He was our server the 3 times we went and really went the extra mile. Despite it being really busy he was so friendly and accommodating

A great show every night, staff are friendly and speak English (most are English). The show has varied music from all eras, Cher to Freddie Mercury to Spice Girls to Britney. You can dance in the standing area and still have a great view of the stage. For the last song anyone can go on the stage to dance, then there is Karaoke! 😂

Went to Ricky’s after a UK friend who used to live in GC recommended this place to visit while on our holidays. Ricky’s is fun, cheap drinks, fab atmosphere and the Cabaret is the best I’ve seen! My other half accidentally left his hoodie behind, staff had it folded neatly in the staff room which we went back to collect. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly and fun. Will definitely be back! 6* if I could

Been here many times over the past years and as always am never disappointed, the entertainment is on point and the queens looks absolutely amazing, staff were friendly and prompt with the reasonably priced drinks. Only thing I’d say is if you want a seat get there before 10 as it gets absolutely packed :)

5* entertainment all night from 9pm until after 2.30am. Drink promotions on buckets exceptionally well priced and affordable. I visited here with two other people and we all had a fantastic evening of entertainment. Different acts everyday with different drag artists. Exceptional quality entertainment, we laughed all night and got extremely drunk. Book your favourite table in advance to assure yourself the best seats in the venue. Thankyou for entertaining us all night and for dragging me up to take part in your show it was all recorded by my friends to later embarrass me when we get back home. Rickys bar entertainment is the best drag show in the Yimbo centre in out opinion. We have seen the other shows at the other drag venues and this venue wins hands down.

Had a reservation for 9:30 and the actual show didn't start until after 11. Good performers and fun vibes, but you'll be asked to leave unless you keep buying drinks, no matter how much you've already spent. Ruined what otherwise would've been a great evening.

Brilliant bar, good atmosphere and amazing service from the bar staff! We were there with our baby and the staff really made sure we were comfortable where we were sitting so wee one could sleep in the pram. The drag Queens were all funny and friendly and one of them was smitten with our baby girl and was so sweet and kind towards her. As much as we probably wouldn't come back to GC we actually had many fab nights drinking here and enjoying the shows.

We got curious when we saw a crowd gathered around a bar at the yumbo center and decided to have a seat there. Boy, we were not disappointed! The performers were: gorgeous, hilarious, talented and total professionals. I'm shocked that we only paid for the drinks because the quality of the show was great. And there was a karaoke before the cabaret too, which also quenched my thirst for attention The drink service was great too, the waiters were quick to spot the empty glasses and bring new drinks We went back twice and we recommend this place to anyone visiting Maspalomas and likes to have a great time!

What a wonderful evening! We were recommended you ladies by our TUI rep and were definitely not disappointed, so funny. The drinks are a good price and we enjoyed our jug of Sangria. Still trying to remember what the Lidl song was to, it's been bugging me since I've been home 🤣. Definitely worth a visit!

Myself and partner visited Gran canaria between 23 Oct - 30 Oct, spent 4 out of 7 nights in Ricky's bar and each time both laughed our heads off! Such a great atmosphere, with talented Queens. Bar staff very attentive and drinks priced reasonably. Definitely will return!

Super funny drag show but bad cocktails. The show was incredibly funny with this dry, awkward British Humor, loved it. Service is really good just the Drinks (Sangria and Cocktails) are a let down. Way too sugary.

Nice sheltered beach and wide expanse of sand to find a space. Quieter than Playa de Ingles and Maspalomas. Nice boardwalk above the beach to stroll along.

A terrible place. You have to be very careful with your wallet and phone. Groups of Arab youth beat tourists there and rob them of phones and money. Generally this place is very dangerous especially on weekends at night. There are regular fights and thefts. There are no cameras so it's hard to figure out something later. Watch out for this area of Maspalomas.

The more normal place for straight people to visit, pubs, clubs, restaurants, and takeaways, night life doesn't get going before 10 pm and expect to stay until the early hours the next day.

Used to love this place, but what a sorry state it finds itself in now. 80% deserted or burnt out, mainly populated by drunks, junkies and street beggars, plus flies, millions of them!!! Great shame but it's time to tear it all down and start again with something up to date. Only thing that has been looked after is the beautiful church.

Horrible place. Newer give more than it cost if you buy something on the Burger Shop. If you give them 50 euros they at once give you message that they newer have got it ! Be wery carefull on this plase. They are tiefs all off them. Recomand all people too keep distance from this place. Newer pay whit big money they will at once tell you.. Sorry but I have not get this money from you. BE CAREFULL PLEACE ! Bandidos all off them !??

The Kasbah has been in decline for a number of years with a lot of the units closed. However there is some major redevelopment planned in the next few months. One of the little gems 💎 in the place is the small bar Antigua Snack Bar run by Paco its friendly owner. An authentic Spanish bar with great cold drinks and delicious food. You arrive a stranger but depart as a friend.

Bit rough here. Plenty of police around which tells it's own story. There's a fantastic kebab shop there though

Few good shops still here, new eatery , all homemade food on top floor, well worth a visit , food delicious. And of course u gotta visit molly molones & the Irish tavern. Its an awfle shame how run down this centre has become , guess covid hit it bad. However some nice restaurants & pubs still hanging on. Terrible to see the amount of people openly selling drugs 😔

Good shopping centre with a couple of supermarkets a few shops restaurants bars and a few fast food kebab pizza places open late for the late night entertainment.

Really run down now , loads of Irish themed pubs for some reason . One was okay with good bands each night on outskirts. Open drug dealing witnessed so we never went back and didn't feel safe .

A fun place to hang out. Great pubs and clubs. A lovely cafe. Free Dancing in the centre every night.

Decent area, quite chill. Free toilets but sometimes closed, nice tiled benches. Not really any seats in the shade though. Not much worth going there for specifically. Some of the takeaway sellers are quite pushy. Wheelchair accessible for the disabled, and not many floors so easy to walk for older people (unlike Yumbo).

4 stars for the nighttime entertainment. On the Friday and Saturday night we visited there is music in the square and fantastic dancing by the locals. A range from ballroom, meringue, bossa nova and more. It's wonderful seeing mainly older people dancing. The shopping centre surrounding the square gets a 3 but it does have bars, tourist shops and general stores.

Shopping area with a grocery, restaurants and a few retail stores. In the evening, there are several social activities offered like dancing.

It's a shame that this place has been left to run down over the years. A few bars, restaurants and shops still hanging on.

Seems to be more of a night time place to visit. It is a little run down with a few closed shops but overall it’s worth a visit as there’s plenty of bars to visit

We had a lovely meal here one night, sadly all the shops close at 10pm so didn't get to see much. You can tell there is money in this area. All in all a nice place to visit in the evening.

This is a beautiful line of restaurants and shops which caters for many tastes. In cuisine, from Italian to Chinese by way of an Irish pub with an all-day breakfast. The shops are a bit high end and pricey but interesting.

It's a very nice place to walk and do some shopping. It has nice stores like Fund Grube and others. It is somewhere expensive tho but it looks really nice.

I love a stroll through here. Mosport is a particular favourite. The whole area is my happy place.

Once you want a shopping break coming back fromthe beach, this is the place in Maspalomas worth to try.You will find many global brands as well as local products shops here. Prices are even better than in continental Europe.

Nice shopping centre, put a couple of tops in the sale that was on.

It looks epic on the outside, many photo opportunities, also beautiful painted benches inside, but it has a feeling of an abandoned urbex building and has seen better days. Lots of shops or restaurants were closed when we were there and the rest can feel like an odd mix but there are plenty cool shops like a beautiful crystal shop and bunch of the typical touristy trinkety shops, great for getting a souvenir, also a cute ceramics and soaps shop on the upper floor. Nice shoppers, most of them not too pushy. We even found free public bathroom which was in a decent state (close to the crystal shop). I think the Cita is worth visiting but I would kinda not want to go alone :D

But if a strange one. The outside and decorations are nice, but the shops themselves are all very much the same. Second hand electronics from the 90s, tourist souvenirs etc., then adult stores.

The single weirdest shopping experience I have every had. The downstairs mall area is a scary collection of erotic clubs, bars and dark dead end corners. Absolutely fascinating during the day but would likely induce a heart attack if I ended up there at night.

This place is odd. Completely lost in a time warp. All money spent on the fancy outside and inside feels like a 60s shopping centre with little life and variety. Great if you want a sex shop, cheap tat, poor food and swingers. Let's not even talk about the swingers...everywhere.

Definitely worth a visit, probably the best shopping centre in the playa del Inglés area. There's 2 free toilets, a huge amount of shade so great to avoid the hot sun, but there's a small sunny area also. Quite busy at times, bigger than I expected, wheelchair accessible apart from the upper area. Could be improved though.

This shopping centre has a lot of stores inside. It is a tourist pitfall but also lots of choices if you want to pick up some bits on your journey/stay. The building is dated. What I really enjoyed was that no one was trying to pull me into their establishments. They were happy for me to look around without getting into my personal space.

I don't know if covid is the reason so many shops are closed, I would assume it is. The restaurants are brilliant though, lovely food and very reasonably priced. It would be great to see the Cita at its best, I imagine it was a fantastic place when it was buzzing with life. I would definitely go back here to keep checking on it.

Nice place with shops to buy or just enjoy food. In the evening there is also music and you can have a good time.

Do not like the haggling merchants who get aggressive when you don't make a purchase. Kick them out, they bring the place down so much. 90% of products come from wish with 300% markup in price. 😂😂 very deluded man tried to tell me how much cheaper a product was than in my home country. Clearly I know the prices better than ya buddy, €90 for a €30 product.. These people belong in a market stall, not a shopping centre.

This is one of the oldest still existing shopping centers in Playa del Inglés. Some shops are closed and some are open. This hasn't changed in many many years. In the basement there is the adult area with bars/sexbars and swingerclubs. At the 1. floor there is all the butiques and supermarkeds. At the 2. floor is all the restaurants and going-out-bars. A lot of german people comes here in the evening to have a beer and listen to slagermusic. C. C. Cita is a funny mix of different things, but a center I really like to visit because that is just how Cita is 👍🏼❤️

Had a bit of charm but needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. More closed shops than open. Lower level is all adult entertainment. Lots of good restaurants have closed recently

Very unique mall! You HAVE to visit Sami Gionelli store if you are looking for the perfect gift or something memorable. It is like a museum of jewellery & souvenirs. It has so much to offer and really good sales! 50% off on everything! The owner is really friendly and kind. Don’t miss out!

Big place where you can get lost during night time, but nice for photos during day time if you go upstairs. Lots of stores, restaurants, pharmacies and other interesting stuff in the basement;)

A varied selection of clubs is at Cita. The biggest secret Shangri-La club is here. It is located 50 meters from the Tattoo shop. There are no advertisements or signs showing where the Shangri-La club is. You have to find the doorbell and press it. good luck.

Run down and pretty grim to be perfectly honest. Went to get some lunch and felt quite unwelcome. Without meaning to be agest, it seems to have been claimed by the elderly of the area. Lots of sex shops etc. If that's what you're after though!

A strange centre that has seen a few lighting improvements. Used to be very dark and forbodding to visit. Mostly German tourists.

Nice Spanish Catholic Church opened for tourists. Mass is in Spanish, but there are sheets of paper with bits and pieces in different languages like: English, German, Polish, Italian

Great place with free entrance to visit in Maspalomas, but needs a little care. Some of the signs with plant information are too far away to read from the path. Other are missing the sticker or it's damaged. A few plants are missing the signs at all. The place seems to have no benches to sit, but there are small retaining walls along the path which you can use as the benches. The toilets are very clean, but there was no soap near the sink. Also in the northern part of the garden some of the water used to water the plants, leaked on the walking path creating a small puddle of mud.

Free to visit. Nice walk around the garden. Some plants have seen better days but a lovely little detour. There seemed to be a guided walk around the garden, someone who works there had some excellent knowledge. There is a toilet available as well.

Visited this Botanical Garden at midday in May. Quite a hot day but there was shade. Not a riot of colour as I had seen on previous years. Anyhow it made for a pleasant walk.

Little gem of a garden. Free to enter with lots of plants and flowers many are labelled. Reasonable toilets at one end of the garden and lots of shady areas to sit and admire the plants. Definitely worth a visit for the butterflies and bees.

Free entrance. Very nice maintained. If you're lucky you can spot some wildlife bugs in the trees like i did with the biggest grasshopper i've ever seen and wild cats nurturing their little ones!

Beautiful place just a stones throw from the Yumbo. So nice to sit on the massive bench and just enjoy the nature surrounding you! Definitely worth a visit and it cost nothing to get in so what can go wrong!

Unlike the previous times, the visit was disappointing. Park maintenance has been saved too much; dead / wild plants, weeds, major flaws in plant naming - name tags are missing / illegible, some plants have 2 completely different name tags. Otherwise, a good outdoor destination near the hotels. Despite the shortcomings, it is worth visiting, especially if you are interested in plants.

Easy access by car with plenty of space in underground car park right next to the beach. Beach itself not the best, wide layer of rocks between the sand and the water and then rocks again underfoot in the sea.

Lovely beach and surrounding area. Beach itself is great and all the restaurants and bars are much higher quality than further along the beach heading towards Playa de Ingles. Boardwalk above the beach stretches past this beach as well so lovely to stroll along. Hotels along here also higher quality. Definitely my favourite beach and area along this stretch.

Nice sandy beach, pretty quiet, with a great variety of restaurants around. Not too busy on the beach in March! Lots of rocks and pebbles make it a great spot for photo shooting.

Absolute surprise to see this pond here in Gran Canaria. Some nature enthusiastic people were on watch with their professional camera to catch some lovely bird moments. Winter time you can observe migrating birds from the North Europe.

This is a great nature reserve if you love birdwatching. Some amazing species to see often very close up and unbothered by people. On 3 visits I’ve seen Kentish Plover, Spoonbill, Black Winged Stilt, Glossy Ibis, Greenshank, Spotted Redshank, Whimbrel, Black Tailed Godwit, Yellow Legged Gull, Sanderling, Little Egret, Little Ringed Plover, Kestrel, Greater Flamingo, Sandwich Tern, Oystercatcher and of course the parrots. Such a diverse range of species. At low tide along the Meloneras beach is also good for waders and seabirds. There is a viewing bench ideal for taking photographs from.

Only worth a visit if you are an ornithologist or love bird watching. It is very smelly, full of dead fish and the view isn't that great, just a regular pond possibly decaying. It needs better maintenance.
