Beautiful park with a lot to see. The park has a mix of formal borders and arboretum. There is a bandstand with regular shows over the summer. A Japanese style pagoda birdhouse has cockatiels and lots of other birds while a farmyard area has chickens. Lots of interesting sculptures are dotted around the gardens. There is also a vegetable patch and rose and dahlia show beds.

And when you say the word Park, better to give it a value: indeed, this park is composed of several spots, including a nice garden with large fountains "Jardin à la Française", a Café, a botanical garden with a diversity of plants and flowers, each named after a celebrity, a playground for kids, a table tennis is also available, and so. The park can be done in like one or two hours, and you can choose your best spot within, then relax, and spend a couple of hours or the rest of your day; depending on how much you seek nature and relaxation.

You would never find this place without a recommendation, but it is a gorgeous, welcoming little restaurant with delicious crepes. The staff -- which seemed to be a family to me -- were warm, polite, and forgiving that our party did not speak a lick of French. This little back alley (literally) creperie is surrounded by many busier, happening ones (we joked that this area must be "the creperie district"), but Mordelaises is a true gem.

The building went on throughout the tenth century. Gate through passage, the remainder of the fortress walls of the city of Rennes. It was the main entrance to Rennes. Named in honor of the city of Mordelles. Mainly served as an entrance for processions. Equipped with a movable bridge, which is preserved. Very essential impression. There is information on the stands, however, only in French. But the name of the street is in Breton :)

The parliament itself is amazing and not to be missed, both for understanding Bretagne and Rennes. He was well received by the native French speakers. He is well versed in French and Breton history and ably (and graciously) answered all of our questions.

A nice calm Creperie near the market. I went there for dinner and was very delighted by the food. Both the traditi bacon Crepe and the caramel crepe (for dessert, of course!) were great and satisfying. The price was affordable and the service was also very good. Food arrived super fast. Definitely recommend!

Great market to find fresh produce. You can find everything from fruits and vegetables to freshly caught seafood to cheeses and meats as well as some local specialties. There are also some foodstands that sell meals made on the spot like couscous or chinese food. We also found the cutest flowers and plants vendors. If I lived in Rennes this market would definitely be my go to destination for food shopping. Highly recommend.

I attended the Breton museum which covers everything from 3000 BC until the present day. Admission was free for the museum.

Great location inside a park. Beautiful tree covering our pitch. A little far to Rennes in the heat but about 20 mins by cycle and there is a bus route. Friendly reception. Froze our freezer blocks. Showers and toilets could be a little cleaner but okay. A bar in the park had music on until gone 2 on Saturday but the other nights were quiet. The campsite does a great breakfast if you can leave a little later (picked up just after 9am). Can recommend Rennes for vegetarian friendly (and vegetarian) restaurants.

Beautiful place and lots to do. There's a lake to walk around and also have lunch in the waterside bar and restaurant. There is also a tree climbing adventure park right next door, it could even be in the same park. The camping and motorhome pitches are spacious and clean and well stocked with everything you need. When we arrived the person at reception was very friendly and spoke English which was great. We will definitely be visiting here again and hopefully stopping longer.

It is a breath taking experience. You choose, To go for run solo, to bike with a group of friends, to take your dog to play with it's dog friends, to seat for a drink and watch the ducks swimming, to walk with your beloved ones and see the sunset, to practice archery, gardening, simply enjoying to take a breath of clean air, amaze with all different animal and plant species that call the park home. Very very good campsite excellent facilities in immaculate condition. Pitches large and spaced out in a lovely woodland setting with walks and activities all close by within walking distance. Cafe bar located within the park nice to walk to and enjoy a beer after driving. Offers pitches at the start of the campsite at 11euro without power etc and will definitely will make use of for a one night stop over if traveling south.Cycled into Rennes via the cycle path about 5km of a flat cycle and is sign posted all the way in option to order breakfast very handy too.Staff very professional and friendly keep up the great work guys.

Nice, but the trail to the castle/chateau/mansion isn't actually "open" there are signs that try to warn you that it isn't maintained. The park itself is really nice if you stay away from the sewage treatment plant... and offers a really nice view of the viaduct. The park has a lot of beautiful trees.

This is a cathedral such as I have visited only rarely. It is grand beyond description. Truly it competes with the Duomo in Florence and that is no exaggeration. I'm fairly sure it gives St Paul's a run for its money too. Pointless describing it, just look at the photographs, better still make sure you visit it when you are in the area

I enjoyed the exposition on women's emancipation through art. Camille Claudel's famous pieces were exposed as well as other sculptures and paintings. There are other beautiful pieces of art both modern and classic exposed in this museum. Every first Sunday of the month is free entry.

You would never find this place without a recommendation, but it is a gorgeous, welcoming little restaurant with delicious crepes. The staff -- which seemed to be a family to me -- were warm, polite, and forgiving that our party did not speak a lick of French. This little back alley (literally) creperie is surrounded by many busier, happening ones (we joked that this area must be "the creperie district"), but Mordelaises is a true gem.

Yes! Allez les Rouges! Family (son, daughter, wife ,mother-in-law) visit for the first match of the Ligue 1 season. Very nice stadium, great atmosphere and the bit at the end where all the players stood on the centre circle and clapped with the fans was really good. Huge crowd outside for the team bus arrival, all good natured and friendly. The football was good too - a 5-1 spanking for Metz. Fantastic, friendly fun - heartily recommend it. Took ages to get out of the car park, but you can't have it all.

Went to experience and see how the stadium is... It is a cool opportunity to have good time and release all your stress, enjoy and watch live a game. It was raining heavily and the entrance was slow but it was worth the experience. Try to arrive on time and if you like try to leave before it ends, otherwise the return back home will be so tedious.

Very good museum with very good staff. Almost all of the exhibits have explanations in English, German and Spanish. But very small prints. Definitely good place to start your visit to Bretagne to understand its history. There's an educational exhibit on the Dreyfuss Affair but it's mostly in French. The museum is free

Very detailed museum of the history of Bretagne (from prehistory to nowadays) and not expensive (4 euros full price and 2 euros reduced). You will get the best experience if you are lucky to have a guided tour (otherwise there are to much information to handle by yourself if you are not an expert). There are also some temporary exhibitions. Stuff is very friendly and helping.

Went here to see prehistoric finds and was not dissapointed. They do try to give attention to the whole history of Brittany until present day, so it was not that much. Visited during week . The museum is in a modern building and the staircase area is vast and for me it appears a waste of space . The museum is interesting but very small and although the notices are in English. I don’t understand why always in such small writing . The planiterarium requires a ticket and it’s not on constant showing . Sadly the museum which I have visited before is a bit tired .

Great institution in a wonderful building. The FRAC participates to the Rennes biennal and presents a large selection of work. The exhibition spaces are large and the museum also has a library, where you can read many documents for free. The only point: you can not borrow them and you have to call before going to the library. Great place that I recommend! A bit far from the center, but easily accessible with public transports.
