From the outside, it looks like a luxury compound, but once you pay, everything changes,
be sure to not be fooled by 5-star ratings and listen to rental and owners' experiences.
When I came to rent everything was positive and they told me many promises before paying, but once I paid everything changed,
I was told that the apartment would be clean and ready in X, but it was delayed around one or two weeks until they sorted out some issues, I was like: fine it happened,
but when I took the keys for the apartment that I should have been the first rental, I found so many issues (cracks in the walls, issues with the AC, the apartment was not clean at all, and many other issues)
I talked with the office to ask about the "deep cleaning process" and why the apartment is dirty, and they told me that the "deep cleaning process" is just a "floor mobbing" 🫠
I handled this out by calling someone to clean the apartment and then submitting the other issues to the office which they fixed most of them to be fair, but left others like the cracks in the walls and the AC,
at the same time, some small lizards started appearing in the apartment, which was horrible, after finding 5 or 6 of them, turns out they were living in the AC and they started falling out, reporting that to the office, and they said it's not their problem, even though they promised a "deep cleaning process", they told me that they are not responsible about the broker promises (even though I met the broker at the same office they are operating in, which was confusing), they told me that I need to pay to them to provide me with a cleaning service they have, after that we had a small argument which I found useless and left,
from that point till recently I didn't interact with them because I hated it, even though the AC was not working as expected, sometimes 25° is cool enough and sometimes even 20° isn't cool enough,
you can imagine waking up in the middle of the night, feeling hot, lowering the temp by 1° and then freezing out, The AC was the worst part of the apartment,
recently it became worse, so reported that to the office, and the specialist came and inspected the AC to tell me that there was a problem but I needed to pay the office to fix it 🫠
I need to pay to fix the AC that didn't work properly from the first day?
Extras:
- very expensive compared to Aljada which is 1000 times better.
- No one answers phone calls.
- Fire alarm fires around 2 to 3 times a week.
- maintenance - if they show up - lack the understanding of English or Arabic and are very hard to communicate with.
- when they had events they blocked cars from barking in the public parking, so my friends weren't able to bark when they came to visit.
- they question visitors a lot by asking them who they are visiting and where they are going.
- insects and dust leaks from the AC.
I'm leaving the apartment soon and hope no one will be fooled by this compound again.
if you want a luxury compound go to Aljada, they have similar prices and they are more professional there.
UPDATE: they called me and apologized about everything, they explained how it's out of their hands and that it's the owner's and the broker's issue and they don't have control over it,
I appreciate their call and the professionalism of the caller.
I'll keep the review since it's my experience and because I met the broker in the Alef office, so to me, it seemed that the broker is trusted by them.
