My husband and I have been living in Japan for over 5 years, and have missed American Asian food. Funny right? This was the first time we have eaten American Asian food since we moved back here with our children. They did not disappoint. They have a salad bar if you want salad. When I eat too much I tend to get very sick, and this is a buffet…so I’m sure it’s common for people to feel very tired afterwards. I took some photos and sent them to our kids who are out of state currently, and they’re excited. It reminds them of home in Okinawa, Japan. Everything from the gold Shisa dogs outside to the decor inside, to the aquarium. One place in Japan that we went to eat, had a similar vibe to it, but was seaside and had an outdoor patio you could eat at. (The restaurant beside Kadena Marina in Okinawa, Japan.)
Two of our children were born in Japan and all three were raised there, and they miss it so much. We all miss it. It was very hard to find American Asian food in Japan, because everything is so authentic. Now we are back in the states and miss the authentic Japanese food. 😂 They have a lot of different foods our picky kids will eat, so I’m excited to take them here. The restaurant itself is huge, but the buffet is not as big as the other one we went to in Greensboro, North Carolina. (I think it’s called Hibachi Grill Buffet and it’s near Four Seasons Mall.) Overall, my husband and I enjoyed the food and we will definitely be coming back with our children. They have hot wings, carrot cake, chocolate cake, ice cream, the infamous Chinese buffet donuts, some delicious yeast rolls with the honey butter spread. They have boiled crab, low mein, sesame chicken etc.
I’ll try to update my review when they’re not as busy and it’s just us and the kids.
We went during dinner time and we both got sweet tea. I’ll be getting water next time, my body isn’t used to the sugar or the caffeine.
I added a photo of our receipt from dinner on a Thursday night because I know I’m always watching reviews for prices.
It was $13.50 per person, but I know places are struggling and tend to raise their prices. But for a buffet, this isn’t a bad price. We paid more per person at restaurants in Japan, so we have no complaints about prices in the states. Everything here is far more cheaper. 🙂
I’ll try to take more photos when they are less busy. I didn’t want to get other people in the shots, but the restaurant is way bigger than the photos suggest.
Also, Please don’t forget to tip your servers! You can tip them when you are paying your bill.
