I recently had the pleasure of Kronplatz and it was an amazing experience. From start to finish, the skiing was magnificent. We didn't have to wait in any long lines, and the snow conditions were just perfect. Granted, the snow at the bottom of the mountain was a bit heavy, but with the season coming to a close, it was to be expected. Overall, I would highly recommend Kronplatz for anyone looking for a top-notch skiing experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the amenities were great, and the skiing was some of the best I've ever had. Thanks for a memorable trip!

It’s probably the best ski resort I’ve been to. Amazing red and black slopes and superb wide blue ones. Almost all lifts leading to the same mountain top. Literally there’s no slope you’d think is not worth skiing again. It’s a place where you don’t waste time moving from one area to another. You have it all in one place. A bit on the downside is that most lifts are gondolas, so constant strapping and unstrapping of bindings but beyond that it’s simply the best of all places I’ve skied in.

Probably the best ski area in Dolomiti mountains. Ski area is completely organized and everything worka great. You can reach top from four different directions (cable cars). There are so many employees which keep the ski tracks in great condition. Artificial snow is available on whole mountain so there is no way that you cannot ski. There is wide selection of all level ski slopes - from blue to black. Kroplatz is widely known on his BLACK 5 slopes. Restaurants on the slopes are very good. Parking lots are big in all valleys, especially in Riscone and Olang. You can also reach slopes with train.

I've been coming here for 10 years and this place never disappoints! The fake snow is great quality and the slopes are prepared well daily. Lots of great dining options available throughout the mountain. Some fun jump parks and timed skislope races where you also have access to a recording of yourself at no cost!

By 10am most of slopes are in pretty bad conditions, for almost 70 euros/day ski pass, it is not worth it, you can get better groomed slopes in other Dolomites areas. Especially if you are beginner and intermediate, I don’t recommend. Not place for carving.

We came here as we wanted to visit the ‘Skyscraper’, we paid the €31 each return to go up (only one of the lifts was open, we drove to another first initially only to find out it was closed. But that’s to be expected in the summer I guess) Unfortunately we couldn’t do the skyscraper as it was closed due to wind. Although we didn’t know this and had to wait an hour for someone to turn up to the hut, which was frustrating! We walked around the area but in our opinion there are much better mountains to go up in the Dolomites!

There are many steps to the top and the entrance to the museum. We took the side road, side path towards the museum so it was easier to reach it. The mountain culture is presented in everyday artifacts on multiple levels. RIPA in Tibetan means ri=mountain, pa=man. It is really cold inside, too.

The museum was super disappointing. The locations were numbered but you cannot find any signal related to this. The pieces organization seems totally random. There are some dark rooms that you cannot almost see nothing. There’s only one person working at the ticket entrance and another one in the shop. The place looked barely abandoned. We did one hour car to see this but I can assure you Rios museum is not worth it at all. Not recommended even with the free entrance.

I’ve visited this museum twice over the past few months and even the second time I discovered new things that I missed the first time - there really is so much to explore!! I’d say if you want to properly see and appreciate everything that this wonderful museum has to offer, you’ll need about 2.5 hours (maybe even more). It’s so beautifully well laid out and as well as predominantly discussing the lives of mountain people around the world, there is also a section about the original use of the castle - the building has been really well-preserved. At the top of the tower, there are beautiful views to be seen of Bruneck and beyond!!

Amazong mountain museum, the price is a bit expensive but reasonable (11€), because the castle Bruneck is very nice and exibitions are amazing. Parking at the bottom was free on Sundays and is in within about 100 meters from the entrance. You do walk up a fairly steep hill. Once inside the facility is very clean. There are many stairs to climb, husband did notice an elevator near the tower area. We were impressed with the amount of displays with adequate room to move without people bunching up together. Information was available in three languages. We got to tour the whole castle and each area was targeted by location and people. Maps were displayed showing the location being showcased. To get the most out of this museum plan on spending 2-3 hours. There are cinemas throughout, displays, and you are presented a map with a suggested route to follow. We found one open bar. Check the website as hours change season to season. Noticed that one visitor’s review stated no photos allowed beyond the first floor. Lastly, the tower stairs are sometimes dark and narrow so it may be difficult to pass. The tower floor at the top was unnerving as it was weathered and you could feel the bowing as you walked around. The views were incredible but we got off quickly as we didn’t want to be up there with too many people. All in all we recommend this castle if you are in the area.
