According to Folklore, The beach was used as a burial ground for Hindus and because of the remains of the people supposedly buried here, it is said to result in black sand. It's prime location in Surat and must visit place too. Every morning people comes here for walk and for food too. There are plenty of different types of rides for people. If your visit Surat must go with your friends, your family and your loved ones.

This place is beautiful but at this time there is only mud . Please visit in the rainy season so you can enjoy it more. If you are nearby this location then you can visit and enjoy but if you are planning to visit here far from this location then I'm suggesting that this location is not up to that mark.

It's a weird beach with no water around. You just find puddles of water and fishermen scouring for things to do. People do come with families and big umbrellas to chill under the scorching sun. I found carts selling beers and maizes.

And the rides of animals or monster car etc. which offers at beach try to negotiate with them . They charge much more for a very short distance.

I recently visited Dumas beach in Surat, Gujarat. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The place was very dirty and overcrowded. The sand felt like mud, and the sea water was also polluted. Not a good option if you want to enjoy a clean and serene beach. 👎

And also Dumas beach is known for ghost stories, you can believe these are myths and rumors. The Dumas beach offers some adventure sports and activities like horse and camel riding and kids sports at low costs. You can even take your toys to play and enjoy.

We went when it was sunset time. I have been here before. But it was the first time for my kids. Didn't enjoy it as much as we had little time. There are many activities that can be done and food stalls selling corn and maggi(mostly).

The first is the best I'd say. I enjoyed the first floor fish views. The second floor is a marine section and i thought it would have huge fish and something amusing of course. So i didn't enjoy the second floor view idk for some reason.. anyways it is pretty well maintained! Definitely worth visiting 🐟 I have so many pics of the ambience and fishes as well but won't spoil it for y'all. Hehe 🤭

The Aquarium is nice, hosts a variety of water species and is fun to visit. However it looks like they are not maintaining the place well, considering the ₹100 entry fee. Interiors look shaby, fish-tanks are not well maintained, PAS (audio announcement system) is barely audible, Information panels are not updated or missing, not a single personnel to be seen once you enter the area! This place can be transformed into a very attractive tourist spot by adding some shows and making new additions from time-to-time. Tank containing Shark is quite huge, but not maintained. The premise is quite large, enough parking available, however again the place looks less maintained and not so attractive. Good for visiting and checking out the water world!

Nice and good place for Parents who have children, because this place has so many curious lives for children. During this corona pandemic tickets of this place is only online available on SMC application . And if you want to visit it try to book advance for minimum 2 to 3 days for Saturday and Sunday. I had heard a lot about this place. So I went here during my one visit to Surat with my friends. The entry was not free it is Rs 100 per person. We were four friends. It has all kinds of fish packed in different different aquarium. It also has one large aquarium for shark although that was not so big. It has tortoise as well. Every type of fish was in different aquarium. The size of aquarium was sufficiently large and the variety of fish was too many. It was very nice seeing all kinds of fishes. It has a walk way and aquarium was on the side of the walls. This place was worth visiting. This one is the nice place in Surat. So pay a visit in your next trip to Surat.

Must go with the kids too because there are so many different types of fish that are there in display, and also, there are turtles. Wonderful place to visit with family. Well maintained, kids loved the overall experience. Ample place for car parking. The centralized AC was switched off owing to pandemic and inadequate ventilation caused some discomfort. Otherwise the overall experience was wonderful.

I found Rs. 100 ticket for an adult to be expensive, but on the other hand the aquarium was good. Loved the different types of fishes in it. The illusion glass is something new, as you move towards the glass, your head will take a spin . The corner big thanks that shows the underwater ecosystem is wonderful. There were sharks , eels, starfish, tortoises and a variety of big fishes and a variety of small fishes. In just under 30 minutes , you'll finish the whole aquarium.

Amazing place near by Star Bazar. I have enjoyed with my family at this Aquarium. I have seen many fish in under water deck. The 1st floor i enjoyed but 2nd floor is good. The outside fountain is good for photography.

Ticket is also readable it's hundred for adults and forty for children. Atmosphere is pleasant. Food court is not open so take care while visiting. Fountain at entrance gives a pleasant vibe. Car parking is also available if visiting with own vehicle. Overall all very to visit with children.

However, Prasadam counter & souvieneir counter I found it ok and not attractive as compared with other Iskcon Temple from different cities. Prasadam like Laddu and other food items you get it for minimum ₹20 onwards. It is one of the best religious place to worship. Inside the temple the ambience and the preachings are designed and presented in detail. Kids will find it very attractive to understand the culture. Next time if you visit to Surat City, please visit this temple for mental peace and to worship.

This temple is awesome. Every time you visit there, you are awestruck. The cleanliness and staff is too good. It feels all mesmerized when u place ur step inside the temple area , it really gives peace . There is tapi river side also one should visit it on evening or early morning . Must visit They decorated the temple very beautifully. It was an amazing site.

It was something else which can't be described. It was noisy outside but as soon as I stepped in everything was calm and quiet... Mesmerizing!!

I visited this place for a peace I got it there... I go there bcz of at my home is nothing gone ok.. So beautiful Murties of lord Krishna and radarani, jagannath Bagwan.. so beautiful felling at go there at Sandhya aarati.. After that u can take a food at near prasad Ghar .. ₹120 u get Unlimited Gujrati thali (1person) ₹70 rajwadi khichadi kadi unlimited (1person) And many more things at there menu but they have business strategy over there and they are not selling those other items and they are watching u are sharing or not. From station u can get Bus 137 To direct Iskcon Mandir main gate. Or iskcon circle just a few step there from mandir main gate to left side. There is matchless giftshop also where u got all God belonging things... At maingate there a shop of sweet and Prasad I can pay and take.

You seriously need to go through reviews before visiting this place. Come On!! Visit this sacred place and just sit inside quietly. What it makes you feel is unexplainable. Krishna Consciousness Indeed.

Road work ongoing so there can be a bit of parking issue. Make sure you have the boondi ka ladoo prasad from the Sweetshop.

Every Sunday i go there to just pray krishna to get eternal peace. In such noisy place i found peace. Found joy and everything that as human beings we want. Place is great for krishna consciousness people.

Very great place to visit in Surat. 1 day small trip can also be enjoyed with your family and friends. There are activities of Boating, Zip Liner, toy train and flea market 😀 😄

Nice place for a picnic. There's a kids playing area, boating and zip line activities available. Food court also available. Boating and zip line activity start in the evening.this place is good for one day picnic. You can spend your whole day here if you want. Go with family and friends.

Amazing place. Please avoid carrying eatables to the park. You will have to discard them. All basic facilities are inside. Ticket fee 20 rupees/head. Nice pond, boating, zip lining, children play items, relaxing lawns, statues, amazing light show in the night.

My recent visit was a complete disaster, riddled with uncleanliness, broken facilities, and the pathetic state of the food court. It was honestly one of the worst spots I've ever been to. Swings creaked ominously, slides had cracks running down their surfaces, and the whole place felt like an accident waiting to happen. Only a handful of stalls were open, offering a limited selection of unappetizing edibles. Seriously, the only positive takeaway from this experience was leaving. Frankly assigning it one star is too much.

Amazing experience....you have to buy a ticket for entrance but it's worth buying.

Yesterday 9th September Saturday we visited Gopi talav with my family. My daughter loved time spent at Gopi talav. Very good location for a photoshoot. Child friendly activities are there but most of the rides are damaged and not functional. Advisable to visit in evening/night to see lightning of Gopi talav. Outside food/beverages are not allowed. Timing: 10 am to 10 pm Ticket: 12 rs(3 to 12 year), 24 rs(above 12 year) Parking: SMC facility with nominal 10 to 30 rs charge Toilet: Available at entrance and near cafeteria, not super clean but comparetively good condition Boating charges: 120/person in group boat Zipline is also available.

As a tourist attraction this place should offer more during the day. It seems to be more of a hangout spot at night. At the time of my visit there were very few people except staff and other visitors. There is no food available inside the park. The ambience is good with all the trees but the lake needs to be cleaned regularly. The boats don't look safe and I wouldn't venture out in them. There seems to be no safety and security arrangements. The zipline also seems to be non-functional. Honestly I would advise you to avoid this place but again it all depends when you visit it. There is an entrance fee and there are washrooms inside.

Gopi talav is the amazing place for spending a day. Located in the middle of city. So anyone from surat can visit it. Amazing sites for fun. But it is very busy place. There is lot of traffic in and outside here. But overall it is a good place.

Good place for children…. Boating is good, Zip line also good… however no good washrooms , also overall hygiene also not good.. Entry fee is just 20rs for adult n 10 rs for children… All inside activities we need to pay extra like zip line one way 120 n two way its 220 rs… smc parking is available for car n two wheelers parking… Boating also good… so overall good place to go with children …

Inspite being the largest library in surat you need to become member to access the books. Infrastructure is awesome Parking may be a trouble No access to wheel chairs Reading area is good too silent deceplined and calming. More or less it is worth a visit.

Overall Library is Fantastic . Must visit . The only problem is that the staff is little rude , and also not allowing students to charge their devices for study in reading rooms. Also librarian snatching phones from student's hand without any warning or Permission.

The reading space is pretty good. The fans don't make too much noise and the benches are good enough. However, wearing shorts is apparently not allowed. Had to go back home and come again because shorts aren't allowed for no reason whatsoever and even if this is the case, they should've at the bare minimum put up a sign outside regarding it but nope. Quite pathetic for the supposed best library in the city .

"Temple of Wisdom", one of my most favourite place in Surat. One humble suggestion is to have digital Library with e-Books and Audio Books for benefit of subscribers. One more suggestion is to make "Recommendation on Books" by subscriber online to enrich library even further.

Overall library is good.Well maintained and clean but the behaviour of staff is infuriated. In reading hall they peep in your phone and keep staring and also guards are impatient

superb Place. its public library. any one can use with just a nominal fee for membership. you can issue either one book or maximum two books with two different kind of membership. a very huge collection of books available here. all kinds of books in every sector, field,writer,language available here. timings are also good for open and close and to read. child section also available for quick learning method. digital library also available. reading hall has also huge capacity to seating arrangements. two wheeler four wheeler parking also available.

You will literally find each and every book here, I have added the picture of the membership plans as well. I've been a member since a long time now and I have to say that is the most perfect library you'll find in Surat. There's a huge space for students to study and work too. The parking space is quite big. I recommend to get a membership as well.

Best place to read. Reading section for boys & girls are seperate and it is open on all days except public holidays and the best thing is that reading section is absolutely free for any citizen. You can bring your study material and read in the peaceful ambience. There are n number of books in the books section, booked of various Exam preparations like CAT, GATE, UPS, etc., historical, novels, biographies are available here but for that you need the membership which is available at affordable rate. Book issuing/renewal section is closed on Monday. Books are issued for 14 days and you can renew it further 2 times through either online or offline mode. If book is not renewed or returned within 14 days penalty charges of Rs. 1/- per day will be applicable to the reader.
