Nice if the skies are clear, some wash out and culverts hammered with previous flash flooding. limited cell service. Moderately wooded, cows are grazing and hunters were bow hunting first hunt in September. Overall nice to be out with views of the surrounding summits.

Disperse camping. It was great. The roads to so.e of the area was rocky. Watch your vehicle.

Such a beautiful drive from Cloudcroft to Timberon through Lincoln National Forest! There was still snow in the shadows as we drove through in early April. From the roadside pull off, you can see White Sands National Park off in the distance.

I don't even want to make a review because it's the best kept secret ever! The most awesome trails and experiences you'll ever encounter. I've ridden a lot of trails other than the north east USA, by far the most challenging & exhilarating!!!! If you get the opportunity don't hesitate.

Beautiful place, quiet and just nature all around. It's a bit far from Cloudcroft but worth the drive. There was no mobile signal of any carrier, which made it even more peaceful. Highly recommended 👌

We took a hike in Lincoln National Forest, starting at the Village Spur Trailhead. The trailhead is very close to Burro Avenue and downtown Cloudcroft, NM. The hike we did was so scenic and beautiful. Very peaceful and amazing. Be careful, because the altitude is quite high, make sure you have water, even in the winter.

A beautiful drive and a plethora of trails to hike. Just make sure you bring appropriate layers because temperature changes can be drastic in the fall and winter over the course of a hike

This is the Sunspot area in Cloudcroft and it is such a beautiful and peaceful area to camp. Also has many trails to walk and explore and great ATV and HTV trails as well.

We had a fantastic week here in August escaping the heat of Arizona. The location was perfect for hiking, exploring, and quick trips into the little town of Cloudcroft for essentials or non-essentials like Forest Pie at the Black Bear Bakery! The sites are a bit close together, however, being nestled among the tall pines gives you an element of privacy. The camp host (Mark) does a fabulous job of maintaining this campground. The pit toilets are the cleanest we've experienced anywhere (!), generator hours are limited, and a leash law is strictly enforced (which we greatly appreciate since we've had issues with large, aggressive, non-leashed dogs in campgrounds). So happy to have found this summer getaway and we will certainly be back!

Nice views and free camping. Be careful pulling a camper when finding a place to camp. Some of the camp roads come to a dead end, and it would be hard/impossible to turn around. If you are going to ride any single track trails on a dirtbike, be aware that they are extremely difficult. My klx230 did not have enough power, and my xr650l was to heavy to go at a speed I felt comfortable with. All the other dirt roads/forest roads were great.

Very windy in February. Oil fields dotted all around. Quiet with cows making the rounds.

I hunt here every two years or so. Such a scenic area! I camp primatively most times and just viewing the diverse wildlife in the area makes the trip a memorable experience.

Beautiful national forest. Went during the summer and it was still snowing and chilly so can just imagine how it’s like in the winter. Lots of hiking spots and has a little small town that you can go into for food and lodging. Make sure you have some sort of app (like all trails) or maybe a map because some of the hiking spots can be easy to get off track, especially in the snow.

First time visiting this place and I was impressed. The General Admission parking and the Casino parking are free. I visited to see a free concert. Little Joe y la Familia was SO good. The concert was held in a big white tent that is closer to the casino parking lot. All the employees were helpful and kind. There are port-a-potties outside the tent. They offer food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages there. They had chairs and tables (first come first serve) and a dance floor. The parking is very hectic, but there are sufficient amount of spaces, you just have to walk a bit. There are bathrooms inside the casino, too, that is directly across the tent. I definitely recommend the concert events.

The track is very well maintained. The stables could use some updating but this is a beautiful facility!

Love this track. Beautiful Lincoln County. Pine trees, mountains, afternoon showers, evening lightning lights up the sky AND I get to watch quarter horses and thoroughbreds run..... wait... I can bet on those horses too, what is this place? Heaven? No, Ruidoso Downs which is pretty close to heaven.

It was my first time at a horse race! It was so much fun! We sat, we stood by the rails, we bet. We did it all. Everyone was nice and one of the horses came up to us and we were able to pet it. They are definitely people oriented. They want you to have a great time. The bar area is clean and the atmosphere amazing! Will he going back!

This race track is kind of a dump. I was very disappointed in the selection of concessions that they had. hotdogs, nachos, and some sad sandwiches. The prices were ridiculous. The track itself seemed ok, but the grandstands and public areas are old and wore out. This place needs a major upgrade.

Three Stars because it was a nice family event. We enjoyed watching the races from the table in the smokehouse area. We paid $120 for a table not covered. If we were to do it again I would definitely get covered, as it was very hot. Service in this area was non existent. We had to walk to the bar to order everything we wanted. I asked about food and she said she would send someone over to take our order. About the 15 minutes later someone arrived to take our food order. The only time I saw the server was to take order, drop food, and bring the check (which I had to go find her to ask for) I was overcharged for two double mixed drinks. I showed her on the menu where it had the prices listed for a double. She called the manager. I waited probably another 15 plus minutes and no manager showed. She ended up giving me the difference in cash and said the manager would reimburse her. I did assure that she was for certain going to get reimbursed, as I didn’t want her to personally give me money out of her pocket. She said she would. Overall we enjoyed the day and experience.

Fun place with cheap bets possible. Great family fun. Food and drinks available. There is also a variety of seating to choose from. The upper area is shady and had a nice cool breeze blowing through when we were there. Great views! I would suggest prepurchasing tickets online.

I love this place. The casino is great! The restaurant is wonderful with great food, staff, and atmosphere. They have karaoke at the restaurant on Wednesday nights. The restrooms are ao.clean with constant attendance. Close parking on most days.

I did not like any of slot machines. They money like it was water. And they were hard to decipher. I like the old timing atmosphere and the Billy the kid motif. Took a few pictures and enjoyed the scenery's.

Went to the dinner for the first time there last night. Smelled walking in the door. Was like ok well let's ignore that and try it anyway. Bad choice. You'd think a place that makes the kind of money they do would update every 20 years or so. So dated. Anyway. We both ordered the 13.99 Ribeye special. Talk about low end steak. And it wasn't cooked even close to what we ordered. (Medium and medium well, both undercooked) Not sure if it's better during the busy season, but there is literally no chance we will ever eat there again.

Sign says the hours are now Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 8am-4pm. Closed Tuesday/Wednesday.. We stopped by on a Thursday about 2:00 pm and found clean restrooms, a good selection of snacks and drinks, and friendly employees.

As a truck driver, I drive 550 twice a day, from Rio Rancho to Farmington 5 days a week, and I refuse to stop at this travel station. The employees lock the trucker side of the door and make us walk all around. Even the trucks that stay overnight already have a long walk to the building, and still, they make them walk all around. So I refuse to spend my money or company money in this place. Respect our truck drivers Apache nugget. They keep u in business in more ways than u know.

Based on previous reviews I guess I should have been happy their bathrooms were out of service!! But would have loved a large sign saying NO BATHROOM available, especially since side entrance near the bathrooms was closed. Lots of walking around and no relief. Also casino closed and half the lights off, kind of dark and rundown looking.

I'm glad the store is reopened. The restrooms are clean. Subway seems to be non-existent. I'm okay with that Subway is everywhere. My main reason for taking off two stars has to do with pricing. Be careful when you check out because what you see on the shelf is not what your things are going to ring up at. It shouldn't be my job to make sure that your things are placed in the correct categories or areas for that matter. That's why you employ people. My cold coffee drink was clearly sitting on top of a sign that said $3.39. It rang for a whole dollar more than that. Although I brought it to their attention I don't even think they could be bothered to move the product to the correct pricing area. It's very frustrating especially in today's economy where we're trying to save every penny that we can. Believe It or not $1 can be the difference of having dinner or not having dinner. The people that work inside could give two craps about whether it's priced right or not. So for now on this is just a nice place to lay my head or relieve myself but I promise that was my last purchase ever.

This little casino gas station was the most random stop I made on my whole trip from Utah to Texas. I was way surprised by this place and when we stopped here I was like why here? But when I went inside I realized that it was a good stop choice. I wasn’t too impressed with the bathrooms but luckily I only had to pee so it wasn’t to big of a deal. The selection in this place was kind of random, like if you wanted to try a new candy, treat, or drink then This could be your stop. They had an odd amount of ice cream there, maybe the casino get heated. If you’ve been driving all day and you just need a place to chill or relax then this casino is the place to stop. Just stop, shoot the breeze, and try and win some money. My moneys on you!

Saturday at 7:30 pm. And the place is closed. Hours on the web site says they are open til midnight. Be nice if they updated the web site. I would have stopped sooner in order to get dinner. Chef boy ardee out of the can again. Gotta love being a trucker.

Subway closed Casino closed and it’s 1pm in the afternoon. They lack customer service. Pizza and corn dogs & hot coffee not my thing. No fuel or diesel for Truck Drivers was a waist of my 30 min break.

I would give it a negative 5 but that is not possible. It looks like somebody has been murdered in the bathroom stalls. Would not recommend to anyone. if somebody is brave enough to clean that place up. Bravo on you. I wish you don't get any disease.

It has never been open. When I arrive anytime of day. Even today it is 6pm and nope Closed sign in the window. Porta potties outside for use. It’s just funny to me to have the only store in the middle of nowhere that ya’ll are killing the profits with sales. Get 5 people hired in to run the store keep a security officer. And open this freakin location to regular hours of operation like your website says. SMH 🤦‍♀️ so over stopping here ever again. Ya’ll disappoint for real!

I had to use the bathroom so I pulled over here out of desperation. The bathroom was pretty average, nothing special and the store was a little confusing. Overall pretty average and not really worth a special stop. Of course unless you need to use the bathroom. 😉

Gas pumps are open and working but the convenience store was completely closed at 3 in the afternoon. Also the gas pump access is pretty tight if you're driving a large RV or towing a trailer

This was a nice establishment with a very nice staff. I expected my charcuterie to come out on wood or a board, but got a tray instead. Also, I do a bit of wine tasting and no one in my party got a buzz. Maybe the pours are smaller, maybe the time between wine taste visits were more spread out, or maybe we all increased out tolerance at the same time.

Great place. The green chili wine must be tried. We did a sampling with a cheese board and it was perfect. Really nice and relaxed atmosphere, and a great location on the main drag. Absolutely worth a visit. The staff was warm and friendly, highly recommend if it's your thing.

We had a really good experience here on a previous trip to Ruidoso so we just knew we had to stop in again. Unfortunately this trip, the service was not good. We tried to order at the counter but were directed to sit in a section with wait staff. The waitress initially took our order then promptly ignored us the rest of the time. We had to wave and hunt her down every time we needed anything at all. The good news is that the baguette board is still delicious (even better than my last visit!) and they have a great selection of beers and wines.

Stopped by this winery after shopping. This place did not disappoint. Janet was very knowledgeable on the wines and suggested the ones we would like based on our tastes. We would definitely come back for more wine and cheese. This place has a very good chill vibe. Try out the Demigod room when there. We ordered the baguette platter, which was really good. If you are unsure of which cider to get, try the cider flight. The pomegranate one I liked the best!!!

New Mexico grown and made wine. In old town. Kind of pricey for this type of wine. I had a Cabernet it was very good. But 23 for a glass was a tad much. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly.

Music amplifiers for band were way too loud. But otherwise was a nice theater in a lovely location. I wish it was closer to where I live in Las Cruces.

I got married November 2018 , and let me tell you it was the best decision we ever made! I wanted to give a shoutout to Simon (she is a loving cook), Sharon (She is a great house manager and I might add a super great bartender), Every staff member down to the IT guy have the best personalities. I was not ONCE stressed. From the beginning of the year to to the day of! Everyone was wowed by our venue, Im telling you right now if you get married there rent both the crystal lobby and the the stage, your family and friends will be wowed!! P.S. get Mad Jacks BBQ in Cloudcroft 100% worth it

Spencer theater is an awesome venue for enjoying a concert! The acoustics are excellent, the seating allows the audience to feel as if they are intimately engaged with the performers on stage! What a treasure!!@

I went on the tour yesterday! What a great experience. Jackie did a wonderful job showing us around the theater, explaining the history and taking about prior performances. Can’t wait to get tickets. I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house! Amazing place.

It’s about time Spencer began bringing just a bit more variety. Yes Country music is nice but NOT all the time! The Irish dance collective brought to Spencer illustrated at least to me that Spencer can expand its repertoire. How about jazz and Latin jazz ensembles? Spencer does need to not be so parochial—New Mexico does have a wide range of folk. To reiterate, the Irish dance collective was well worth our time.

The Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts is an absolute gem in the outskirts of Alto, NM. My husband and I are from AZ and had tickets to the Top of the World Carpenters Tribute for our 40th anniversary this weekend. The Theater and performance did not disappoint. It was SOLD OUT! We saw a lot of license plates from TX there. It was a sweet and memorable concert with song creation tidbits that we never knew. So glad we came!

A must for anyone who enjoys the theater and Chihuly glass (That is Don Chihuly's signature on the stars wall). Free behind the scenes tour on Tuesday and Thursday Mornings. I would love to see a performance here.

Attended Little Texas and terribly disappointed in sound system in first half. People around us did not return for second half. Glad we stayed as they redeemed themselves in second half; it was great. Someone needs to get a handle on sound system as we expect to enjoy the entire show - not just 1/2 the show

The go kart track was great, but it wasn’t smooth it actually was pretty bumpy. If you have a kid that’s smaller, and that can’t ride on the bigger one don’t worry they have a track just for little ones. The bumper cars were great if you like the feeling of getting bumped you probably shouldn’t ride it because it doesn’t even feel like you got hit (required height is at least 40 inches). The put put was great really fun, and some great mechanics. They also have some snacks there not many I wouldn’t eat a meal there. On the go kart the breaks don’t work that well also the top speed is at a ok speed I didn’t ride on the pro one though. They have a Vr system with air hockey, and a gold digging crane you might want to bring quarters because the air hockey, and the gold digging crane need quarters. Hope this was helpful 😁

Everything is really fun! Great place to bring kids. Cool atmosphere outside in the mountains. Only giving it 4 stars because 1) the mini-golf course is too hard. So many of the holes' surfaces are uneven, to the extent that if you miss your shot, the ball will roll ALL the way back to the start, or down some other slope. My son and I are generally decent mini-golf putters, but many of the surfaces here are too slanted, and our balls would just not stop rolling. And 2), I think it's a bit expensive compared to similar entertainment centers I've been to. It would be nice if they had an "unlimited play" package (like 2 or 3 hours) instead of requiring tickets for each attraction.

The family and I loved this place!!! Great rides and the pro track is a must for adults seeking really fast go cart experience. Learn how to drift is all I can say. Everybody in Ruidoso should go here.

Soo much fun!! We went everyday we were in Ruidoso. The kids working there are great, they were always super nice and friendly and willing to help out the little kids. I recommend getting the $100 deal they offer, you won't be disappointed.

We had a blast at this park! There was so much to do. Go karts, gem mining, VR games, a walk around maze, and the excavator was a HIT with our little guy.👊🏻

What a fun place!! Kids and I had a great time. Bought $100 worth of tickets for our 4, 11, and 20 year olds. And guests. Lasted several hours. The 4 yr old rode the go cart track with me and she even got to race her own car on the Turtle track. I didn’t even know that she knew how to drive lol. She was tall enough to do the bumper cars, which are single passenger only. But not the traditional style bumper cars. They were more like bumper boats on land so that collisions weren’t even felt, which was great for her first time. The medium track(fun track?) was a blast for all of us. It has 4 turns and most of the carts are evenly matched. It’s 5 minutes for one ride and one ride is one ticket. Mini golf was good. Air hockey was fun. No long lines!! Parking was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful! We will be going again next time we visit.

We had a blast here! We got the $100 tickets and it was well worth it! Great thing about it is if you purchase then it’s good for the whole weekend! The staff was friendly even in the caos of a full park. We did VR, gulf, the maze, the gio rocks panning and the fun track. The maze got competitive but it was a fun time over all! Highly recommend for the whole family.

We had fun playing this course. My husband and my two children played this course. We enjoyed ourselves. It was not too bad priced. We spent about an hour on the course. It does have some tricky holes. It was a great way to spend some time together. There are also other things to do at this establishment.

This is an amazing place for families or older folk! There are 3 go kart tracks. 1 for smaller children(with a parent riding options)one for kids and teens, 1 for adults and bigger teens. It’s the pro track, it is honestly slick and pretty damn fun. My dad took me there, I am 30 years old and he is 50. It was still super fun for us in the environment is also nice. So that should be a good enough accurate representation of how pleasant it is for two adult men! Miniature golf, bumper boats and a large maze that is like 5000 square feet! Ticket boots has deals, you can do 100 activities for a good cost!! Amazing time and would highly recommend this for a quick activity or a fun afternoon! Beautiful environment, very nice and serene setup while you are enjoying your day!

We have been going here since the 90s. Always a great time and now wirh updated adventures. The "ticket special" (currently 20 $7 tickets for $100) is the best deal for a group or even for just a few kiddos. Several things to do!
