A huge abundance of restaurants, stores, theater, hotels and just whatever you like is here. Popular tourist area and the view of the Ocean is great. Parking is the only issue. There should be a 3 story Parking garage here for the public. The weekends are very packed and crowds are everywhere. Fireworks every weekend and a custom car night twice a month. Dragon Palace is under construction and the Ferris wheel is rumored to be in line for destruction. I recommend visiting during the week if you can, bring your patience on the weekends.

Colorful buildings, many coffee shops, souvenirs, restaurants and a beautiful beach to relax. A great place to visit take photos and sit to have a cup of coffee or smoothie. Kids can play on the beach while you are relaxing.

If you are feeling home sick for an American feel this Great place to visit for everyone! Not very kid friendly durings the evenings though. Atleast on the weekend can't speak for during the week. Night life is great for a adults looking for multiple types of venues. It does have a bit of a Vegas feel to it with the street performers as well.

Coming here with my family for the first time and I must say this place is beautiful. Coming from Hawaii this place reminds me of home in Waikiki. It does give a vibe of a little piece of America. Many American restaurants and many other choices to choose from. This place is a tourist spot so expect the crowds especially on the weekends. Just FYI don't try to park at American village but park in the Aeon parking area instead. Have fun!

Nice shopping center with a number of different stores, boutiques and restaurants. You can find a good selection here. Some of the shops have a great ocean view. It rained when we went so there was no sunset but this can be a really nice place to enjoy the sunset. Our pictures are from the view of Cafe SF

American Village is a very cool and upbeat town. There are a ton very interesting shopping stores with lots of cool things to buy. PARKING is FREE to my knowledge but if you and your family are planning to visit here I advise coming very early as later in the day you will struggle finding parking. However there are many parking lots near by. So many great restaurants / Food places to choose from as well as ice cream stores. YUMMY! This area has a very good vibe and atmosphere. We have a 5 Month Old baby, so pushing the kart around was not to painful although when the town becomes crowded you might want to take caution. Overall this place is exciting, great for couples on a date or hanging out with the family which ever one it is I'm sure you will enjoy it. Thanks for reading!

This place is beautiful! It has a great seaside view with great food shops with a wide variety available from Indian to Italian, American and even Mexican! Great pancake places and tattoo shops. The place has great view at sunsets and night time!

I totally loved the place, its a great place for all ages, restaurants, bars, stores and an incredible ambient, with awesome building structures, waterways and all this next to the beach!!

Good selection of stores, cafes, restaurants, bars and entertainment facilities such as Sega (arcade) and bowling. Geared towards tourists so higher priced than most places. There are fireworks every Saturday night at 8pm and in August also on Fridays at 8pm. Make sure to arrive a little early to get a good spot to watch from the sea wall. Parking can be hard at times especially during the summer.

An assortment of shops, dining, and entertainment. Great way to pass the time looking at everything that is available to you. Next to the water so you have spectacular views. They have brochures in English and Japanese telling you where everything is located. Parking can be tricky but there are plenty of overflow parking areas close by.

Very colorful and vibrant buildings, great for pictures. The pizza here reminded me so much of those back in NYC. However, I felt like there weren’t many stores and the ones that were there was just so-so.

Consumer paradise: eat, eat, eat, buy, buy, buy. Obviously, as expected so no surprise there. The entire place is one in the line of many outlet parks scattered across Japan. It's understandable for Japanese to want to visit, yet somewhat ironic for foreigners travelling to Okinawa enjoy this particular slice of americana.

Really special and unique place to visit. The colourful buildings are fun to take photos with. Stores sell a wide variety of products and also snacks, baked goods, ice cream, sweets and treats that have some international influence on them. We had a lovely time exploring the area, taking photos and shopping.

American village basically offers a vast shopping center experience, perfect for a leisurely stroll, indulging in delightful food, and overall having a wonderful time. For travelers with plenty of time in Okinawa, I highly recommend dedicating half a day to explore this place and concluding your day with a memorable dinner at one of the rooftop restaurants boasting a mesmerizing ocean view. However, if your Okinawa visit is limited to just a few days, it might be wise to skip the American Village. Instead, focus your time on exploring the island's breathtaking natural wonders and relaxing on its pristine beaches. By immersing yourself in Okinawa's stunning nature, you can make the most of your brief stay and create lasting memories.

Fun spot to visit but if your time is limited in Okinawa, I would probably skip AV and spend more time in scenic areas. Lots of shops and restaurants here, but it felt a lot like a tourist trap as well.

Great park located on the beach near American Village. The pirate ship is great and kept my toddler entertained. Easy beach access makes it simple to go back and forth.

The pirate ship is a SUPER fun playground for my 6 year old, and my baby has fun on the beach. I will say, though, most children tend to not wear masks even when there's tons and tons of kids on the pirate ship. So it does make us nervous with the covid situation and we usually only go to the beach because of it. There are much less children on cloudy days, so that's always the best time for us to go, even though it could rain. **edit to add** Now that we're in less severe covid times, I can honestly say I love this place through and through!

Very nice and clean park with enough things to keep the kida occupied. We went for a short Sunday afternoon stroll and enjoyed it very much. Maybe a few food trucks or more areas for a snack or picnic would have been great. Overall, great spot for families eapecially with young kids.

Har! Pirate ship playground for the kids adding water front. Nice walkway, lots of parking and plenty of restaurants around here.

It's a cool beach with a nice park. There's two little playgrounds and one is a big ship. There's also a netted beach that you could swim in. I would go swim there during the summer months when it's warmer. There are also restaurants nearby so if you're hungry you can go there.

Pleasant beachfront to relax and have some fun with family n kids. Lot of activities to do whiles at the beach as well as enjoying your walk.

Araha Park and beach is a fantastic place to come and relax in a conveniently located part of Okinawa. the Playground is a great place for children to play, plenty of restrooms located in the vicinity and some free areas to sit out of the sun and have a picnic lunch with friends. It also has plenty of paid options too, including a bar and BBQ area. With beautiful beaches, nice boardwalk and friendly locals, come and check it out for yourself.

It's fine, unfortunately the swimming area is very limited (like at most if not all beaches in Oki) and that makes it very crowded.

A small park for families and children, it is the playground that matters but the beautiful seaview.

Great public beach and park , very nice kids playground. It has a small snack to buy simple food,local beer, water and soda. Tent rentals also for party.Lots of local Japanese, mainland, some tourist and local american. Free parking lot and 🚻 bathrooms. Nice walking area 👌. Walk from Hamby town is about two minutes. Walk from Chatan Chatan-chō baseball stadium is about ten minutes. The Dragons play spring training at this location. A drive from Naha International Airport is about thirty to forty minutes depending on traffic and time of day. Beautiful sunsets,with lots of restaurants within walking distance after sunset.

Nice park and sand beach swimming area. Summertime beachside BBQ and beer dispenser rentals available. There is swimming season at this location.

Very nice park, it's my halfway point on my morning run. The main attraction is the ship playground. Definitely built for kids, wish there would be something built like this for adults lol. The park also has covered benches for picnics, food and beverage vendors, vending machines. There is a beach with a designated swimming area, a place to play sports in the sand. There are also basketball courts and restaurants nearby.

Great kids play area. Lots of family friendly things to do. Beautiful beach and ocean views. Boat rides are available. A long path to walk, ride or run on. A snack bar and bathrooms with showers.

Growing up in Los Angeles, it's a little hard to feel comfortable letting my son run alone when I can't see him. But this park is such a well-maintained and safe place with many parents keeping eyes and all the children. I have no issue letting him play with his friends while I talk to other parents. Lovely park.

Love The American Village in Okinawa. They have tons of shopping for everything from souvenirs to massages. Very festive atmosphere and clean property with tons of cabs waiting to take you to your next adventure!!!

It is one the tourist place in Okinawa and also known as American village because of large American tourist there. It has many cafeterias, drinks, restaurants, shopping and many more entertainment options. It is one of the recommended places to go for long walk on the sea side. It has free parking space.

It's called American Village but it's not really for Americans as most of the stores don't carry big sizes. It's more for the tourists to experience American style restaurants and food.

Bollywood Dream visit- Vegan spinach curry and vegan garlic naan were so yummy! Cute little spot. Service was great. Will visit again soon.

Ugh, this entire area is dreadful to me. It seems like a tourist trap. Good restaurants but boy howdy, I wont be back unless someone else is driving; it can become very crowded with little parking. Enjoy this if you wish but for a homebody such as myself, it was a nightmare.

AKA American village. This place reminds me a lot of the tourist town at Niagara Falls in Canada. There are a lit of restaurant and this is the place for the night boardwalk. Only thing I'd have to say is that most restaurant there closes their kitchen pretty soon.

A must-visit when you're here in Okinawa. Very sadly, the iconic ferris wheel has been dismantled since 2022. Didn't realise until I was here.

Beautiful view and amazing vibes! Worth an afternoon's visit. Lots of food option, cute Christmas deco. However, the souvenirs here are really pricey. Would love to visit this place again!

It was OK. I didn't need to experience a little bit of America since I'm already from there. Don't get me wrong it's a good place to shop, eat and sight see but that's not what I came to Japan to get away from America. But you can't complain since the place is literally called American Village.

Great place to walk and hang for a leisure afternoon. It is a bit windy but it isn’t cold even in Jan. There is a sign telling where to run when tsunami happens, so please be alerted.

Chatan Sports Stadium. This stadium hosts the spring training camp for the Chunichi Dragons, a Japanese professional baseball team every year in February. It also hosts numerous other sporting events and concerts year round. It is conveniently located in Mihama, American Village across from the Aeon shopping center and the Beach Tower Hotel. There is a large parking lot.

A lot of different fields and a great view to look out at. Statues are very pretty and give artistic photographs

No public trash cans available, so bring a bag for trash. Also, parking is limited. Pavilions are really nice. There are a lot of areas to go explore the beach and areas to relax and eat at. The playground is cool, a little harder for really young children to climb to some areas. The slide is my kid's favorite. There are basketball courts available too. Not a lot of light once it gets dark, so visibility is limited. A lot of people surf at this beach, it is further down from the park. There are bathrooms here as well.

My 21mo and I go here almost every day. The playground has helped him advance his skills physically, mentally and social/emotionally too! Sooo many kids to interact with. The beach is also beautiful and peaceful with kid friendly swimming.

Not the biggest park in Okinawa. But it Connects you to the seawall that offers amazing ng sunset view, and is perfect for a 5km run. Park has good playground and spacious yard. Adjacent beach is small but decent.

Nice clean park, very fun to have parties and go fishing. Felt shoes are a must for the waters here for safety.

It's a pretty fun park, they have basketball court, skate park and playground.they also have access to the beach. I came there at night to enjoy the view from the upper deck at the park by the beach. It was beautiful, not too crowded too

Today was the first time with my bully Aspyn and I. It’s great for dogs!

Small, but quaint this park is usually where kids can use the field for soccer and other activities (there's also a basketball court). It has a small playground and is relatively close to the beach. Japan loves their vending machines, and the kiddos enjoy a refreshing drink or ice cream after their playtime.

Came to participate in the run from Baba Park to Araha beach. I am currently in a running group called the Okinawa Pavement Pounders. I ran nine miles altogether we all ran about 15 Miles. It was like a fun run with Military and dependents. The area is a hot spot for military and locals alike. You will see great many sunset views here.

Lovely place that pretty much has everything needed to have fun for kids and adults. Basketball court, skate park, playground, wide open space and its even near the ocean.
