Lovely place! It has one of the best sunset views in Denmark. The beach is sandy and you can walk or run around the whole place. It is located at an hours' drive from the city center and is also well connected by trains. You can also have one of the best fish and chips in and around the local shops here.

We didn't go in the office, I assume it's some sort of harbour administration for fishermen. But it is a nice place to walk around, a few shops and some very nice places to eat on a sunny day. I recommend Fish and Chips, yum!

Ha ha! One of the best experience I’ve had!!!

The scenery is spectacular at sunset. Great place to have a variety of ice creams

It's a fantastic place for a delicious bite. People are very friendly and you get a chance to try the local cuisine, whether it's fish or fast food that you're into. As soon as the sun comes out, the harbour is crowded with people, which brings life to the community. Off season, you can still enjoy the nature, near Gilleleje Havn, with ample opportunity to enjoy the scenery and spectacular nature.

Visited for a mooch about and lunch. Nice area, interesting proper fishing port as well as some cruisers. Beach would have been lovely with better weather. Very busy at the weekend.

Lot's of places to eat and close vicinity to the rest of the town. Best description in one word, would be "Coasy"
The Frederiksborg Castle Chapel, located in Hillerod just north of Copenhagen, is a must-visit destination. Accessible by a 40-minute train ride from Central Station Hovedbanegarden, the chapel offers an unforgettable experience with its stunning palace and gardens. Visitors can explore numerous exhibits and enjoy the opportunity to try on period costumes in the great hall.
Incredibly beautiful. It would take days to explore all the arts of the museum, so much different paintings clothes and antic things are there. Some of the paintings are unreal, mindblowing, just brilliant. A must see if you visit this country.
Daniel Almasi — Google review
The building is being repaired as I went there, the inside is cleaned and well-maintained. The artworks of the royals and the shields are a bit special though, I also enjoyed the nouveau history bit that was shown on the third floor. The price was good for such a big exhibition.
Now as for why I'm only rating it 3 stars, I personally don't think it's worth going out of your way to buy a ticket outside of Copenhagen to go here, because the inside of the castle looks a lot like that of any other's in Europe that I've been in so it's not very memorable and the vicinity is pretty bland in comparison with the inner part of the city.. don't misunderstand though, I'm not warning anyone against visiting this. If you're using public transport I'd recommend buying single tickets and not the big city pass, outside the main city the town isn't very touristy.
Ruu Senata — Google review
Amazing place. Incredible to walk among the shields of so many great names. Haile Selassi; Winston Churchill; Bernard Montgomery; Tito; Willem III; Queen Victoria; Emperor Akihito; it just goes on and on. The whole castle is incredibly impressive. Worth any detour. Too bad the weather didn't allow us to visit the gardens.

Amazing Denmark: A Journey Through History at Frederiksborg Castle
Visiting Frederiksborg Castle was an immersive journey into the grandeur of Danish history. The castle's chapel, with its ornate interior and serene ambiance, evokes a sense of reverence for the architectural mastery of a bygone era. Each room in the castle tells a story, adorned with intricate ceilings and walls that bear the brushstrokes of artists who have captured the essence of Denmark's regal past. The gardens are a testament to landscape artistry, offering a tranquil retreat with meticulously trimmed trees lining the pathways, leading visitors through a verdant tableau of nature's splendor. Frederiksborg is not merely a castle; it is a narrative etched in stone, paint, and flora that continues to enchant visitors with its historical splendor and artistic heritage.

It is splendid. The altar, ceiling and pulpits are intricate and well decorated. Stained glass windows are brilliant. The ambience is opulent.

I've learned that it's the biggest castle in Scandinavia. Therefore a must see :)
Also the garden and view of the castle is extraordinary!
Going by train to Hillerød is easy, cheap and it's free to take a bike with you.
On your way back you could explore the coast as well.
Beautiful day trip :)

Great chapel to visit if you are a tourist. Nicely maintained and awesome to see the organ and how it looks from the inside during the maintenance.

Beautiful and must see place in Copenhagen. Can learn a lot about history and about the royal family. Excellent display of the materials used by the royals. The garden in front of the castle is superb and beautifully maintained.
Arun Maharaj — Google review
Amazing castle and gardens. Allow for minimum two hours to explore all the different rooms and exhibitions, you can easily spend the whole day here. In addition to all the different rooms (and floors), there are several exhibitions of paintings and photos categorized by various time periods.
It's quite easy to find parking within walking distance.

This is a very busy spot, with an enormous amount of exhibits to see. We had the smARTify app, but service (data) and wifi were not reliable for us there so we didn’t end up using it much. Download it in advance if you want to listen to the audio guide as you go. The palace itself is gorgeous, definitely take your time taking in the details of each room as well as the paintings and exhibits. Kids can try on period costumes in the great hall and there is an activity book for them. You can easily spend a whole day here. We were there on a stormy, rainy day but the grounds look lovely and I imagine they would be awesome on a sunny day. It is easy to transit here from Copenhagen centre. Check out the street food nearby for a fun, cozy lunch break!
Frederiksborg Castle is an impressive 17th-century fortress-palace situated on the banks of Slotso lake in Hillerod, Denmark. The palace boasts stunning Dutch Renaissance architecture and features Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. It now houses a museum of Danish and royal history showcasing over 80 rooms filled with beautiful furniture, tapestries, historical paintings and art pieces. The central courtyards are accessible for free along with the beautifully manicured baroque gardens.
A little bit off the beaten path, but easy to get to by train, especially with the Copenhagen Card. There’s a nice walk through the park to get there from the train station, and a gorgeous lake and gardens, too. The castle itself is impressive! Definitely worth the trip, especially if you have the city card.

Spectacular castle experience. The audio tour was informative and not too long. Bags are not allowed inside, but they have lockers available. The building is cold and quite dark, so keep your coat on. Staff was friendly. Organ concert was at 13:30 and quite cool to see. We spent 3.5 hours there. We recommend that you get there right at opening, because you can definitely use all 4 hours they were open. (Limited hours in January). Take a spare battery to be sure your phone stays charged for photos and audio tour. Keep your coat on, because the castle is relatively cold. The museum offered flashlights which came in handy. The castle store was pretty good. After we were kicked out at closing time, we enjoyed walking down the town’s walking street and getting something to eat, on our way back to the train station.
Ivan Wolthuis — Google review
So many rooms to walk through, so many paintings and decorations and everything is in very good shape. The chapel is top notch and the original Carl Bloch paintings hangs in one room. They are stunning! The castle garden is also well worth a visit.
Mattias Norin — Google review
Definitely worth the visit. It’s such a stunning castle with so many rooms and paintings. Has so many history for many centuries.
You can take the train line A from Copenhagen central station for 38 minutes with around 10€ and you will then walk around 17 minutes to reach the castle. The scenery from the lake is breathtaking.
I definitely recommend visiting it as it’s a must see while you are visiting the Denmark.

Gorgeous Renaissance castle located in Hillerød, a city just outside of Copenhagen. Very easy to get there with train.
You can visit the castle inside but outside with its gardens is imperdible.

One of the best castles in the area. Excellent art and history. Worth the trip!!! Well preserved historical site with beautiful grounds to explore too. I used the Copenhagen Card to enter, a worthwhile investment.
Keith Flynn — Google review
The Castle is very impressive and the exhibition about the Danish royals is great too. It rained, so we didn't explore the garden but I really liked the 3rd floor with more modern art.
Svend Nielsen — Google review
This was the best castle we visiting out of all the castles in Copenhagen - it is beautiful and well maintained - and the gardens were lovely! We are so glad we chose to do a day trip here. Very pleasant. Make sure you check out the cafe on the grounds for lunch, it was delicious.
Kailey Parks — Google review
Nice castle in small town 40 minutes from Copenhagen.
A little bit expensive, but I guess a lot goes into maintaining the castle and the gardens.
The gardens are free, so that’s great.
The castle itself has a lot of paintings and beautiful woodwork.
Recommend if you have a free slot in your time here in Denmark.
Victor Correra — Google review
Beautiful castle with a wonderful mix of both modern art, photography, sculptures and historical paintings. They got a few activities for kids - and an audio guide to the museum. I really recommend it and would suggest that you spend at least two hours there.
David Rasmussen — Google review
Amazing castle! Full of stuff to see inside and outside. The rooms are filled with historical furniture, paintings, etc. I personally loved the church. I think the entrance is about 75 dkk so great price!
You can still go around the castle in the beautiful gardens and around the lake for free though. Plus, I love the square with the restaurants; always end up there after our stroll!

For sure 5 star!
The castle itself is glorious. But the garden..it is just fantastic. There are a lot to see there. We spent about 3.5 hours there and still, we were not tired of it. Will definitely go back to this place

What an extravagant castle. There are countless small details to note while walking through here. The chapel was gorgeous I could spend hours just looking at it. There’s also a nice ferry ride behind the castle that you can take.
SiQing Xu — Google review
This is a really opulent castle and it was very beautiful to walk around. The building and its decorations were very intricate. But the museum plaques will only teach you about the portraits on the walls, and most rooms are empty except for the paintings.
Priscilla Zhang — Google review
Absolutely worth the visit. Can take the blue line, included in the large metro ticket. Lovely setting, fascinating architecture. The great room and chapel really stand out for their grandeur. The original Carl Bloch paintings were moving and the amount of history contained in the castle delightful. The grounds were lovely to walk. Situated close to shops and restaurants to make a whole day of it

Highly recommend visiting the castle, it’s a short trip from Copenhagen. Ticket prices are very reasonable for what the landmark has to offer, and it’s a beautiful, interesting place. I’ve especially enjoyed the sensory rooms because I found them quite unique, I’ve never experienced such an addition in historical spots like this one. Staff was super friendly as well. Great experience overall!

An amazing castle that takes you to the past. Preserved in an excellent way, combining Danish History and culture, great facilities in all aspects...
Tony Papanicolaou — Google review
The place is amazing, magnificent, with a nice, peaceful walk around the castle and the gardens. But there is a bug negative for us. Even though they have an audio guide and an app, there is so little history told in these guides. All they talk about are various personalities from Denmark and their paintings, whereas they should talk more about the great history of Denmark and of the castle. The rooms are a bit empty, filled with paintings mostly. Feels a bit like gallery.
Jaroslav Mida — Google review
We came to see the original Carl Bloch paintings of the life of Jesus Christ, in the King’s Chapel. They are beautiful. The Castle is amazing. The Great Hall is covered with beautiful tapestries.

Must visit!!! a place with breathtaking architecture and a rich historical background. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with its history beforehand and engage with the knowledgeable guides available on-site. The guiders are known for their patience and willingness to provide detailed information upon inquiry. Additionally, make sure to visit the gallery located on the top floor and explore the offerings at the shop during your visit.

I would like to say, this castle is one of the beautiful castles in the world, Situated on 3 Islands and surrounded by a lake and beautiful gardens, it's simply spectacular and breathtaking. Unlike other other famous great castles I have visited in Europe, we were able to get as close as to the display, artworks, furniture etc...free to roam and explore at our own pleasure. This castle is absolutely worth a visit or must visit while in Copenhagen, it's really something!
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, Denmark showcases an impressive collection of international contemporary and modern art dating back to 1945. The museum also features temporary exhibitions and is suitable for all ages. Visitors can bring their own food and drinks or dine at the cafeteria/restaurant. The facility is easily accessible with baby strollers and boasts creative spaces for children to play and create.
I love this place & have a membership! I have been there almost half a dozen times. Love the exhibitions, the painting & drawing area for kids (I have done it too), sitting in the garden outside or in the restaurant overlooking the sea, getting the sun, enjoying sumptuous meal with your loved ones! It’s a whole experience. Must visit if you are coming to Copenhagen. I live here but I love it so much I have a membership 🙂

I won't necessarily define it a "must-see", but if you've spent enough time in Copenhagen and you're running out of ideas for where to spend one afternoon, you should consider coming here. But only if weather is decent enough! You don't want to miss out on the sculpture garden, which also accounts for enriching your experience at the museum. It is simply way better if you can walk outdoors and enjoy admiring the sculptures and the surroundings when brightened by the sunlight. Speaking of the exhibitions, it's all about modern art, and a few creations really got my attention. I visited during the Peter Cook exhibit, which was really a "Wow!". Of course, even if you're not an art expert, you need to show up with the mindset to embody yourself in the artist and really try to understand the background behind certain masterpieces, otherwise your reaction to most of the exhibits is going to be like "What the heck is this?". You can easily spend 2-3 hours here if you're an average person like me (not really into art, but curious enough to learn something new), otherwise if art is your thing, consider taking the whole afternoon. Easily accessible by car, there's plenty of parking outside. Overall, an enjoyable experience for a fair price.

Nestled into a beautiful seaside beach with impressive landscape where architecture meets Nature.
Louisiana museum has the World class collection of Modern & Contemporary art, which draws visitors from all over the World. It is a fine museum worth visiting. Especially during Summer days.
The most memorable feature of this museum is the connection -between Inside and Outside- is carefully choreographed to maximize the sense of place and reduce the museum fatigue often occurs in a claustrophobic space in large museums.
The collection and exhibition -A. Giacometti, Modern paintings and well curated Temporary exhibitions are superb examples that make this institution impressive. Access from Copenhagen via simple train ride is clear and convenient. Two thumbs up!

My favorite museum!!! Went there several times during my stay in Copenhagen. After my first visit I loved it so much that I cancelled all my sightseeing in the following days and went to Louisiana. So many good things about this place. First and the most obvious one is the design of the whole place is stunning, including the architecture and interior design and that nice park behind the building. Everywhere is so pretty! You can also enjoy a nice sunset by the sea after your visit. Second is the exhibitions. I met my favorite exhibition by far, epic waste of love and understanding by Ragnar Kjartansson, every work of him is worth appreciated, I actually stayed in the room of “a lot of sorrow” for more than six hours to watch this six-hour-long video non-stop. I really grow on modern art here. Also, the opening hour there is very friendly, they are open until 10pm on weekdays. Love this place so much, really looking forward to going back!!!

The museum and its setting, sans the art, is an experience in itself - a beautiful small complex of interconnected buildings set upon a hill facing the sea (ok it’s probably a strait but it’s sea if you don’t look at the map). Make sure you descend down to the sea and touch it and smell it and sit upon the little pier. Perhaps even swim in it as we saw some brave locals do! Brave because the water was already cold at the end of September. But seriously bring a bathing suit in the summer!
I don’t love Giacometti, which the museum has a lot of, but did find other sculpture to love and admire there. This is largely a sculpture museum.
It is outside of (or on the edge of?) the city but very easy to get to and very worth it! In my opinion, this the most unique of Copenhagen’s museums.
My first time here I also had a great sandwich from the more casual cafe, but it appeared to be closed when I came at the end of September this time. There is a more formal sit down cafe that overlooks the sea also.
Katerina Mo — Google review
Louisiana is one of the best museums in Europe if not the world.
The whole experience you get from the moment you enter, to exhibitions and even the cafe are more than satisfying. You will see everything here from modern contemporary to classics to sculptures the museum has it all.
In order to get here from Copenhagen you must do it either by car or train. Train was very easy to get and takes around 45 minutes from Copenhagen to Luisiana.
Make sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the queues, this place gets packed during the weekends. Allow anyway around 3-5 hrs to have a relaxed but full experience

Even though I'm not particularly interested in art museums, I was captivated by the beauty of this one. It's about an hour's train ride from downtown Copenhagen, but I think it's well worth the visit. The excellent layout, atmosphere, and the way artworks are integrated with the natural surroundings are very impressive. I highly recommend visiting it.

What a beautiful museum! I went there during my stay in Copenhagen and loved every moment I stayed there. The selection of artists and works is great and everything is so beautifully displayed in this amazing building where you can navigate between inside expositions and outside to either watch a piece of art, have a coffee or a snack or bask in the sun. I may dare to say, one of the most beautiful museums I’ve visited.

Lovely seaside gallery about 40 minutes outside the city; one of the most enjoyable day trips I've had in a while. If you're in Copenhagen, you want to make time in your schedule for a visit.

The most beautiful museum I’ve ever visited!
This museum blew my mind. All the exhibitions were incredible, well thought, beautiful and touching. I especially enjoyed Ragnar Kjartansson’s exhibition, it was absolutely brilliant. The museum itself has beautiful gardens, it’s in a forest on the beach so it has amazing views.
Definitely don’t miss it!! Worth the 30 minutes train ride and the entering fee.

An absolutely stunning experience! Though it’s a bit of a journey, about 50 minutes from Copenhagen, visiting the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is immensely worth it. Each moment spent here is filled with awe and appreciation for the modern art collections and the unique ambiance of the museum. The trip itself was super cheap price for the rich cultural and artistic experience that awaits. Highly recommended for art lovers and explorers alike!

No words needed really. World renowned art museum. Go early in the morning via train, buy your tickets in line, explore for a few hours, stay for lunch at the cafe - it’s worth it. We were blessed enough to have a cool sunny day, don’t miss the sculpture outside.

The majority of photos were from the warm days so I wasn't sure what to expect during my visit in February. But it was perfect. Actually, that's the best thing I've experienced while visiting Copenhagen.
Beautiful park, cool architecture, nice sculptures. Very easy to get there by train (I purchased train tickets online via the Dot phone app, highly recommend).

Wonderful experience, in beautiful grounds.
Obviously the art exhibits inside change regularly so the experience will always change.
We spent a whole Sunday here, arriving around lunchtime, finishing the day with a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious.
As a coeliac there were lots of gluten free options in the restaurant.
As an art lover, there was a good mix of the classic early 1900s and modern art through the visual of video and interactive art installations.
As a lover of scenery, you would be hard pushed to enjoy more beautiful grounds at any art gallery.

What a lovely place! Great architecture, wonderful outdoors, good food and of course incredible art. We spent here two hours since we were on a timetable, but we will reserve more time for our next visit. You can easily get there from Copenhagen by train. The walk from the train station is less than 1 km. If you come by car and the museum's parking lot is full, you can leave the car next to the train station and walk.

Didn’t have too much time in Copenhagen but so glad I made the time to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Made my way there for the Pussy Riot exhibition - one of the best I have seen. This museum is situated at a unique location facing the ocean. Ajoined by basement compartments, the 3 separated houses of the museum are bigger than what u see on the surface. Furthermore, the space for the outdoor sculpture garden was spacious with the ocean as the background. You have to give yourself a good 3 hours to view the exhibitions inside out. Really like the overall setting & currations. Definitely worth the 50min train ride from Copenhagen Central Station + a 15min walk to the Muse if u could spare your time for a visit🤩.

Absolute must-see on a calm weekend day ! The train ride from Copenhagen to the small town is quick and the museum is reached fast. There was no waiting line and a friendly staff welcoming us. The exhibitions were well curated and multifaced. Calm, interesting and interactive to a certain degree. The sculpture garden is worth a visit itself ! Many paths lead you around the buildings and there are many pieces to discover. When the weather is clear you can see sweden just on the other side of the water. The restaurant has a great choice of dishes, the shop is quite big and we were able to find a nice poster in a huge collection they offer. Extra plus point that they give you a protective cardboard roll for the purchase.
It was one of the best museum visits I had so far and would recommend everyone who is even just slightly interested in contemporary art :)

Nice place to visit!
Besides the exhibition, there is a beautiful garden which connects with the sea 💚
Also, another point of attraction is the restaurant, which is very popular and a lot of people go there to have a good time.
If you go there when nature is green or the weather is not so windy, you will have a wonderful experience 😊

Superb! Magnifique.
Must visit museum in København/ Copenhagen city!
Located quite Far from the city center, at Humblebaek area and you should also walk about 800m- 1 km to get to the museum.
I visited just last Wednesday and arrive before 11 am and it’s already very packed with people, crowded queue and wow most of them are elders. Very impressive.
The contemporary artworks collection are insanely rare and authentic. Details and caption explaining very well, the interior and exterior really pops up your mind when pay attention to the details.
Don’t forget to walking around at the backyard park which is amazingly beautiful landscape scenery that you ever seen, with the flowing river underneath where you can enjoy the view while sitting down with your meal and gazing to the art statues etc.
Definitely a gem and will be back!
And also there is kids section for those of you who visit with kiddos don’t worry.

If you are in Copenhagen and thinking is it worth an hour's journey, it totally does. Do it! I go to A LOT of museums and galleries, and this one is wonderful, both content and architecture and design. Great day out. We spent 4 hours and this is only because of one gallery was rehanging. Easily a day trip! Wow!
Museum, in the Danish author's former home, with exhibits on her life & work, her library & a cafe.
Beautifully curated museum at the place where Karen Blixen lived. Super friendly staff throughout the venue.

It has a good vibes and well organized exhibition but a lot of texts to read. Good for the people who are really interested in this author.

This is the home and resting place of Denmark's renowned writer Karen Blixen. The property sits in a beautiful surroundings facing the sea and backed by a massive forest. The house is kept in very good condition and there is a cafe with a full menu. The permanent exhibition entails Blixen's life and work. While we visited, the decoupage collection and costumes designed by Queen Margrethe II for Ehrengard were on view. The museum a nice day trip stop outside of Copenhagen.

Really interesting museum with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Although the house is being refurbished and has scaffolding round the outside, the interior is full of atmosphere.

A very interesting museum with a wealth of information about Blixen and her life, and an extremely knowledgeable staff. The garden and bird sanctuary are beautiful and the café has great food. We spent the whole day there.

Beautiful museum, with KB biography section and house preserved as it was in her lifetime. Nice walk through gardens too, with KB's grave in the far corner.

Lovely home and gardens! Food in the cafe was good too. We went to her home in Nairobi so I wanted to see her place In Copenhagen. We were not disappointed ( though there was construction in the front. I’m sure it will look even better when it’s completed)

Nice museum about Karen Blixen. Photos ,document and garden. Delicious cake and coffee. You kan spend 2-3 hours there. Recommend

I think it is well worth the visit if you are interested in late 19th and early 20h Century Danish history (including the way of life and interior decorating), writers and reading, women who lived interesting and unusual lives, or Africa. The museum is at the home of Karen Blixen, a famous personality and author who lived in colonial Kenya. I took the train from Copenhagen (I went from Nørrebro station) to Rungsted Kyst Station, and then walked. It is only about a 1 kilometre walk along partially marked trails through woods. I posted two routes I took on Wikiloc. Go there and search Rungsted Kyst Karen Blixen museum, and you will probably find them. The hardest aspect of going by train for me was understanding what I was buying, because the train ticket machines were mainly in Danish even if you selected English.
The Little Mermaid statue is one of the most iconic and recognizable statues in Copenhagen, Denmark. The statue, created by Danish artist Edvard Eriksen, is of a character from H.C. Andersen's fairytale.
Went to see the mermaid because it is a must when visiting the city.
Some people say it is not worth visiting because of how small it is, and because it’s only a statue.
However, I think it is worth visiting, although the statue is just what you can see in the picture, the place where it is is very beautiful, you do need to walk 15-20 minutes, but with such gorgeous views it isn’t a problem.
Karol Giraldo — Google review
Location is just Cool and pleasant to take walk with loved ones. Statue isn’t big but the history behind it is captivating. Industries and wind mills behind the statue will increase the beauty even more attractive.
Easily can spend 1 to 2 hours just enjoying the climate.

The little mermaid is one of the iconic sites of Copenhagen. The mermaid is located on the Kastellet (the citadel) area of the city, which is Europe's oldest in use barracks.
The area provides ample opportunities to take photos and I highly recommend walking the grounds to get the best perspectives.
The mermaid itself can get very busy with tourists, however there are plenty of angles to capture shots whilst avoiding photo bombers.
Greg “Wigan Wanderers” Knight — Google review
The most notable landmark of the city. It is situated in a nice park next to the sea so we had such a nice walk to reach it that day. I was not surprised by the size but quite the opposite I thought it was going to be super small while it is like human size. It was crowded but still easily approachable. I was also surprised that tourists can reach and touch the statue itself.
Predrag Maletic — Google review
I came here because 'you have to' and after traveling to multiple countries, I guess I'm used to see landmarks that are not spectacular per se. The story behind the mermaid was what initially attracted me. The statue is very simple and even discrete, at night there's not even a light to highlighted it. The area around is gorgeous and it makes the visit worth it.

I visited little mermaid in Copenhagen on 28.10.2022 and it really a refreshing relaxing and memorable experience. It is a very peaceful ambiance and park close to this place is a must to visit place. It is 10-15 mon walk from the nearest station. You will get very peaceful environment to stay there.. Highly Recommend Place to Visit in Denmark…

It's a nice walk up to the mermaid. The fountain before the mermaid is more stunning, just at the foot of the fortress. The mermaid is traditional to visit. But could be slightly disappointing.

Come early if you want a picture on your own, but this is on all the tours and near the hop on hop off bus stop. There are several statues and places to visit near here, including the Genetically modified Paradise and GM Little Mermaid. You could see the copy in the Reception of the Scandic Copenhagen hotel

It’s a very unique place and lot of tourists reach this place to see the beauty of this statue. More children are exited to visit. To have a visit we can take the public transport, can walk or can have a ride in a boat with all the information guides. I went by walking and I recommend to walk from the center so you can find everyplace while you reaching this destination. It was a small statue. Near you can find some ice cream tracks and some other food tracks also. If you have time can visit to this place or you can skip also while you planning your travels. There are some many people so if we need to take a picture with the mermaid we need to wait little longer. It’s free. No need of a ticket

To see the Little Mermaid is surely a must if one is in Copenhagen. We took a stroll down the Park to the seafront ,it was crowded with visitors taking her picture. Indeed she is really little, sitting there waiting to meet her Prince! Happy that i got to see her !

I found the statue to be quite charming and the area to be lovely for walking. The statue isn't huge, but the draw isn't the size but instead the story. Work with angles and camera zoom and some nice shots can be taken, too. I'd recommend a visit and also encourage others to explore the area around the statue.

Based on the 1837 fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attraction since its unveiling in 1913. In recent decades it has become a popular target for defacement by vandals and political activists.
Mermaid is among iconic statues that symbolize cities.
You can sit on bench and enjoy the view.

It's a beautiful statue based on H.C Andersen's fairy tale, The Little Mermaid.
There's more to see in the area then just the statue. I recommend walking around. You never know what is around in Denmark.
A'lan Luce — Google review
It's worth the visit, even with everyone else flocking there. But it's one of those things you have to see as it's the city's icon and should also be remembered to celebrate the works of Hans Christian Andersen.

Not much to look at, except a little statue sitting atop a rock, in some water. But I hear its a must visit landmark when in Copenhagen, so I guess it means a lot to a lot of people.
Expect large crowds at most times of the day, tons of people fighting for the perfect selfie spot for the memories. Not much else, I have to say. And, oh, mind the rocks when finding your selfie spot.
Wonder Mahembe — Google review
It is a lovely statue but oh my, so so many people taking pictures! I couldn't get close to it at all to see the Little Mermaid properly. The rocks are slippery when wet and I saw quite a few people slip. If you have time in the city, go a little later on or early, to avoid crowds.
Finailla Hackwood — Google review
It's a beautiful sculpture. Easy access by bike. There is no entry fee. it's free to visit. Even though the place was crowded, taking pictures was not so hard. This place is surrounded by water and has an amazing view. And it's very close from Marble Church.

An iconic and beautiful sculpture. Yes, the area is overloaded with tourists, but the walk out to the area is great, and goes through a large park. You can also walk through the old fort on the way. The statue will be appreciated the most by people who enjoy art.

A beautiful place.
Good for a walk on a sunny summer evening.
If there is a lack of signs on the many sculptures, Google will help you to tell the story.

Well worth the walk especially since the excellent Kastellet is right next to it. The mermaid is right by the shoreline, so easy to see and photograph. Fun, free, recommended.

Some say the statue is a disappointment due to being so small. I didn't fund it a disappointment at all and think it's a must-see in Copenhagen. Interesting history of the statue and nostalgic for anyone who grew up with Hans Christian Andersen’s original story.

Beautiful, elegiac, and poignant. Take a moment and soak in the surroundings - you won’t be disappointed. Statue is a mixture of sadness, freedom, and a sense of being trapped in motion. Brilliant.
Brennan Davis — Google review
Loved the view of people crawling around the little statue to take pictures. The mainly empty parking revealed that it was extremely quiet. I cannot imagine visiting the statue in high season. It must be chaotic.
The statue itself is lovely, but since the city is full of - in my opinion - more impressive statues, I would always choose to avoid it in high season.
The surroundings on the other hand is making strolling around definetely worth it. We sat down by the waterfront and watched boats, swans and blossoming trees.

A tourist attraction of Copenhagen. It's in a park and you can have a good view of the sea. There's a field of windmills on the opposite side. You can get a hot drink (e.g. coffee, tea, chocolate) from the coffee car that park next to the status.

Copenhagen landmark with an interesting history. We went early to avoid the worst of the crowds and combined the visit with a lovely walk around the area. There is a large park, an old fort and a long seafront to explore.
The Rosenborg Castle is a palace located in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is noted for its art treasures and for the Crown Jewels - the largest collection of jewels in the world. The castle also houses the Royal Museum, which houses objects collected by Danish royalty.
Breathtakingly beautiful castle with a huge and rich collection of antiques and valuable items. The garden of the castle is some of the most picturesque gardens in Copenhagen, especially during the summer season. The staff is super kind and friendly. Very impressive exhibition of artwork, the Crown Jewels, etc. The rooms are renovating nicely and you are able to follow the diversity of furniture during the different periods.

A small and cute castle with an awesome garden and great outside design. I didn't have time to enter the inside, but did a good round walk that I enjoyed. Definitely worth the visit. If you're not going to enter, you can see it good enough from the gardens - the two aren't connected directly probably for security reasons.

What a beautiful place to visit. Even though I didn't go inside, I loved seeing the castle from the outside. The gardens are amazing, and the castle itself looks really impressive. It's a great spot to take pictures and enjoy the atmosphere of Copenhagen. Easily accessible by public transport.

The castle tour is very interesting with lots of art and furnishings to see. The castle does not have good ventilation so go when it's cooler outside. We were there on a very warm day. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous to see.

This old castle is interesting, and of course, the crown jewels in the basement are the big draw. Most of the artifacts are hard to see. Almost everything seemed dusty and neglected. Many of the items are priceless, so it seems sad to let them sit so clearly uncared for.
I recommend going with a good guide or guidebook, to get a better sense of the history.

Built in Dutch Renaissance style during the 1600’s its small windows result in dimly lit interiors. Interior plasterwork is ornate and heavy, the main points of interest are the naval tapestries in the great hall on the top floor and the royal regalia and valuable gold and silver items displayed in the basement vaults.

We had a great time here. Very interesting, with the Danish crown treasure and a very well preserved castle. This one is a must see in Copenhagen. One ticket gets you in both the Treasury and the Castle. The castle is unique as most of it is original from the 1600’s. Very cool!

Small castle with some interesting rooms. My favourite is the mirrors room. The free map is very informative with good tidbits about each room. If you have to choose only one of the palaces/castles I would say this one is the one that offers the most for your buck. The gardens are also great for a picnic and a bit of rest. There was a bit of a wait to get in due to entrance times but this also means that you won’t be crowded inside. If you have a tight schedule I would suggest booking in advance.

One of the beautiful historical sites in Copenhegen. Booking for time slot online in advance is highly recommended. It's very well operated and very beautiful from floor to ceiling. There are two separate parts. First entrance to visit the Royal rooms in the castle, and then walking to Treasury which the Royal treasure is stored, including very gorgeous crowns. All staff are very friendly and helpful. So impressive!

Wow! This castle is amazing! The amount of furniture inside here in absolutely incredible! There are loads of rooms to visit here. From the gigantic hall at the top to the small, medieval bathroom at the end, this was just shocking. Definitely recommend coming here! 5 stars! Best castle I've ever been in!
Filip Szulc — Google review
A very good display of Kings/Queens belongings and utilities. One can find a lot of paintings in the castle in every room and also see how the painting skills have changed over decades. The numbered rooms and digital audio guide in the mobile were a good use of technology and easy to know the place. They also give a hard copy of the guide.
The castle tour is on multiple floors. Every item, decor, and interior is so grand that each random picture will look very rich. After coming out, be sure to go inside another entrance and check out the treasury in the basement. Excellent collection of jewelry, guns, wine barrels, ivory carvings, etc. The single entry ticket will get you to enter both castle and treasury.
After this, one can roam around in the huge gardens. We didn't find the entrance for this from the inside, so we just had to walk till the road and go in the garden from a different entrance. It is very pleasant and well maintained, so it's worth going in the garden.

Great Renaissance era castle. The exterior is super impressive and the grounds are meticulously maintained. To enter the castle it costs 130 Danish Krone - but it is well worth it! The castle has heaps of preserved memorabilia from the era, and the rooms are super interesting - including the “Throne Room”. Highly recommended if you are in Copenhagen.

We only viewed the castle from the King's Garden, across the moat. The architecture is quite lovely and reminiscent of fairytale castles. We didn't have time to go into the castle during our trip, but instead viewed its exterior facade - which is worth stopping to view. It's a lovely area to walk through though.

Absolutely beautiful! Much better than the more famous Amalienborg Palace museum, and well worth the trip. Keep an eye out for the trick chair that was used to make someone look as though they’d wet themselves and the communication holes from one end of the palace to the other!

The castle is small but beautiful. It was less busy than castles we've been to in the past which allowed you to take your time and admire the castle. If your ticket gives you access to the Treasury, that is really beautiful. Combined, the castle took us an hour and a half. That may be reduced if you don't stop to read the information they have displayed. We enjoyed our time there.

Although small on the outside, the castle houses a lot of interesting contents. Work your way through the castle and the history to learn about the different kings. The basement has an impressive selection of ivory and the crown jewels aren't to be missed. Easy to spend 1-1.5 hours here.

A beautiful castle from the outside, filled with decadent displays of royal wealth on the inside. It's good value for the price as each room has something fascinating to look at.
The basement, featuring the collection of ivory sculptures and the crown jewels is absolutely amazing, it's truly staggering how much wealth is on display here.
The outside rose gardens are also lovely to walk through and get a great view of the castle.

What a magnificent castle housing some impressive artifacts. It was busy so had to wait 50 mins for our slot, which was ok as it gave us the opportunity to explore the grounds and admire the castle from the outside.
Once inside, you circulate around each floor. tip, use the guide leaflet available free at the ticket office and is available in multiple languages.
You end your tour in the basemen, where the royal Crown Jewels are stored. Very impressive

This is an early 17th century castle that houses the Danish Crown Jewels. The ballroom/knight’s hall and glass cabinet on the top floor were particularly nice to see, as were the surrounding gardens, which are free. Well worth a visit, which I would recommend prioritizing if pressed for time.

This old palace houses a lot of old royal paintings and treasures. The crowns and jewelry are shown in the basement. However, you have to walk up three floors and one floor down to the basement to see all these. No lifts. Bathrooms are also outside the building. The garden is open to the public. It has a separate entrance. That means you cannot walk directly from the castle to the garden.

Well worth a visit to learn more about the history of the Danish royal family 🇩🇰
Plenty to see inside and a lovely park outside the castle to enjoy the fresh air.
The highlights are to be found in the basement of the castle where the Crown Jewels are held, alongside the royal wine, ivory and amber collections. Stunning!

Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Copenhagen, my highlight of my visit would be The Royal Treasury: The castle’s treasury house, a dazzling array of royal regalia. Diamonds, pearls, and gem-studded scepters gleam behind thick glass. These artifacts, once worn by monarchs, now rest in quiet splendor. Each piece tells a saga—a narrative of power, love, and ambition.

Interesting royal castle with rich tapestry and a myriad of items to observe, showcasing the splendour of the royal dynasty and their history. The building is mostly made of smaller rooms, but once you enter the throne room, the proportions are gigantic, and the perspectives are elongated. It's not a visit you can miss, and you'll spend a few hours marvelling around.

The Round Tower is an observatory that is over 300 years old and it is one of the oldest working observatories in Europe. The tower hosts novice astronomers as well as sightseers who come to learn about the history of astronomy and see how it has been used in different ways throughout the centuries.
For a taste of science history and a beautiful view of Copenhagen this tower is a must see. I saw all ages walking the spiral ramp up to the observation deck, and there’s a beautiful gallery to visit on the way up. The only difficult part is the extremely narrow spiral staircase at the top, but it’s not very long and it is controlled with traffic lights for direction. This is a simple tour with a ton of history.

One place which can guarantee you the best view of Copenhagen. The Tower itself is an architectural Marvel. There is an Entry Ticket 🎫 to the Tower. After the ticket, a spiral 🌀 pathway leads the visitor atop the tower. The deck gives a 360 degree view of Copenhagen. Photography enthusiasts can also smother off their love for capturing Copenhagen the artistic way from this Deck.

Absolutely loved the round tower, I'm not a big fan of narrow spiral staircases so normally give these types of buildings a miss. However, the round tower consists of a wide spiral ramp most of the way, then about 28 wooden steps and a short final set of 31 spiral stairs that you go on a traffic light system. Views from the top all round are amazing, theres an observatory at the top and a kiosk. On the way up the tower there's 2 rooms the bell loft and the library hall which hosts changing exhibits and has a small gift shop. The tower has a hollow core and near the top there's a small opening where you can go in and stand on the glass floor above it. A planetarium is on a wall before the wooden steps.

To be honest, I’ve been on other view points in other cities and this one has one big problem and that’s protection bars. Because of them you can’t make any photo or video. The view towards the city is nice and full. Price of the ticket is around 5€ and it’s not problem to climb up since it doesn’t have much stairs. It wasn’t overcrowded.

A cheap experience in Copenhagen that is worth doing. The Round Tower is a very cheap and inexpensive way to see beautiful sights of the city from above. The tower itself is designed in very unique way which has no stairs, only sloped floors. Once you climb to the top of the tower, you can view the city with 360 degree views. Even inside this tower, I was surprised to find toilets and other pieces of historical information about the tower. For how cheap it is to climb this tower, I highly recommend! 😸

This was a nice surprise. The view from the top is amazing. Make sure not to miss the observatory room when you reach the top. Along the way you can see the church, and the library room which is now used for exhibitions. And of course take a photo in the tower privy just for the laughs, but don't confuse it for the proper toilette next door. 😃

A great way to have a fabulous view of the city and beyond. Yes it's a good climb to the top but it's a bricked ramp so it's quite easy. Toilets available. Good information panels. Two nice display rooms. Part of the city tourist card so easy access.

Definitely worth the visit! In the heart of the city, there was no line to get in,40 DKk for adults and 10 for kids. It is a round climb and in every floor there is something to see so it makes it an interesting way. We visited the kimono exhibition-wow! An hour visit, definitely good way to spend time.

This place was really neat. The construction of it is wild and the little windows into the floor placed randomly so you can see into certain parts is really cool. The whole red light/green light system to get to the top was a little frustrating because some people just didn't care or didn't understand. Definitely worth checking out and the view from the top is worth it.

This was a fun visit! Totally new way to scale a tower, with a completely smooth spiral incline all the way up. There was a HUGE tour group who got in just before us so there was a wait at the top to scale the remaining stairs to reach the viewing level. Having 360° views of Copenhagen was awesome. It is a pretty flat city so a great way to see it from above. The observatory was a lovely addition to see too.

The view from the top is great, and the side areas to visit on the walk up and down were very interesting. History and architecture and a view, all in one. The price was reasonable. There is no elevator or escalator. It is a winding ramp walk up and down. There are narrow stairs that may be harder to navigate to enter the top for the view.

What a gorgeous little experience! The tower is mostly what you'd expect, it's round and a bit of a walk going up. Make sure to look out the windows for some very quaint and picturesque views of Copenhagen's streets and rooftops. The tower also contained an exhibit on wolf conservation which was really fascinating and eye opening. This is a great little quick stop while visiting!

This experience is totally unique and unlike anywhere I've ever been too previously. The tower spirals gradually to a viewing platform where you are rewarded with panoramic views of Copenhagen city centre and beyond.

This was a really neat visit! The entry fee was very reasonable, there were a couple spots to stop along the ramp to see an art installation and some historical artifacts, but the obvious highlight is climbing all the way for the top for a beautiful view. There were bathrooms available, which were clean and very appreciated.

I loved walking up the Round tower. Not for those who struggle with walking up steep slopes as the journey up the tower is as much part of the visit as the views from the top. Ticket was 40dkk (about £4.50) and on a nice day I would say it's worth it. Not overly busy at 11am on a Monday but I can imagine it gets busier.

Pass by the tourist site while roaming around the city, resulting in walking up the tower. It was a worthy walk, circling the tower to get up, wasn't so crowded while getting up. A red/ green light was there to advise if it's okay to get up or down the final narrow stairway connecting to the viewpoint.

The tower is quite high so prepare to walk for a bit inside the round tower until reaching the top.
Fantastic view from the above to see the whole Copenhagen. Great views and it may be even better when visiting it during sunset times.
It also has a cafe and some spot during the walk to introduce the old building and they are quite informative as well.

Lovely view of Copenhagen from above !!!
There is an entrance fee. The tower itself is not very tall but since most buildings in Copenhagen are relatively shorter, it feels like you're on a skyscraper !!!
The tower was originally built as an astronomy viewing platform. It is still occasionally used by hobbyists.
Access to the viewing deck is not possible for people with limited mobility unfortunately. The tower itself is a big slope, but there are are some very narrow twisting steps at the end.
There is an attached gallery/gift shop that is easy to miss. It will be on your left when climbing the tower.
⚠️ DO NOT miss the Cathedral that is attached to the tower. It is very pretty 🌟 and worth a visit. Entrance to the church is obviously free.
Copenhagen’s Nyhavn is a beautiful harbor lined with restaurants and bars. It was originally a working-class area filled mostly with sailors and fishermen, but Baroque Architecture still pops up in many of the buildings. The harbor is one of the most popular areas in the city and its a great place to start exploring Copenhagen!
This was a beautiful place with loads of tourists as well as loads of Christmas vibes were coming from that... As there was a Christmas market as well as there was harbour to have a boat ride... With so colourful buildings.... It was a great spot to enjoy with friends and family. There were so many restaurants available over there and lots of cafes to have some snacks

CONS: bars & restaurants are clearly overpriced

Beautiful area, which is the postcard place of Copenhagen. Definitely a must visit if you are in Copenhagen. There are a lot many street food items, lots of restaurants. You can walk on the road with your dear ones and the vibe is extremely nice. You might have to go there during the evening to enjoy the vibe the most.

A must for Copenhagen! The place has an unique charm due to the colorful old houses. Some of them are about 400 years old and in several once H. C. Andersen has resided! Various restaurants are absolutely great, however, proces are above the average for the city. One should visit the place at sunset.

Cool place with lots of colourful buildings - but as with all popular places there are a lot of tourists. You can see the buildings and then just go somewhere else to eat where it’s quieter if you’re not wanting to see hoards of tourists.

A picturesque spot with brightly coloured buildings along a waterfront.
This is a beautiful spot, with the bright buildings and boats along the wharves making it feel very bucolic. However, while it is very lovely to see, many of the places along here are quite expensive, even by Copenhagen standards.

Probably one of the prettiest places I have ever travelled to. The different coloured houses are stunning to look at and the atmosphere around Nyhavn is so nice as well. It feels very relaxing when you stroll around and just take it all in. Definitely recommend!

Lovely, relaxing place just to stroll about and enjoy the ambiance. Find a nice place to eat, grab a drink, then find some dessert. Sit outside and enjoy the ocean, the weather and the people.

One of best walks in Copenhagen and a must visit.
Nice promenade by the water canal and many restaurants on the side , food was not that good and very touristic and don’t recommend eating in the area, the place is very full of people, bars. A must visit for sure ✔️

Great sightseeing place in Copenhagen, and good place to walk around the river. Lot of restaurants & bars around but are bit pricey given the location. Should visit around sunset time to get some great views.

It can get a lot crowded during weekends and holiday but even then its worth visiting 😁

Beautiful area and buildings. I went at the end of November as the Xmas stalls starting popping up along the water so it was pretty busy.

A beautiful part of Copenhagen and definitely a must visit. The buildings are lovingly restored and are resplendent in their gayly painted colours. There are canal rides that you can go on, and many of the buildings house a variety of restaurants, as well as the famous store selling waffles with ice cream and churrios.

Beautiful architecture along the canal. We visited at night and in the morning. The views are nicer in the day.
There a lot of cafes and restaurants, but heard that these are quite expensive. Nice to take photos along the canal but it’s near a bicycle lane so just be careful.

Colourful canal houses which include a museum to Hans Christian Andersen. Lined with busy waterside cafes, fish and chips and tourists. Starting point for canal boat trips.

It's nice to walk along the canal with these pretty colorful houses on both sides. If you walk to the end of the canal, you can take the water bus. There's also a stop in the Opera House on the opposite side.
Tivoli Gardens is a charming amusement park located in Copenhagen, Denmark that is popular with tourists from all over the world. The theme park features a wide array of attractions, including a precision-preened roses garden, globally inspired architecture, low-key spin-off of Michelin starred restaurant Kiin Kiin and a ballet theatre. There are also outdoor jazz, classical and contemporary music performances as well as illuminated by soothing fairytale lights.
This place is amazing. You can see how it inspired Walt Disney. You can walk around to enjoy the fine food and gardens without riding a ride. The food is high quality, not fast food. The shops are as nice as the ones found in town. As for the rides, the views from the tall swings are amazing. The ride on the old rollercoaster is fun and quite historic.
The park changes clothes at night :-)

Nice amusement park. Not very big but right in the city centre. Beautiful decorations for Halloween and lovely restaurants. Some restaurants are very expensive. They have menus outside so no nasty surprises.
A few good rides. Some are very scary. We went in November in the afternoon. The queues for the rides took about 20min. The weather was a bit cold. They have some shops too. Our friends found something to buy there. If you like the rides, you can easily spend all day in the park.

🎡🎢🎠It's a very nice theme park with lots of interesting rides. I was so excited and having so much fun that I didn't take many pictures.😆 But the best for me is The tallest ride in the amusement park I don't know what it's called, but it has seats like swing and it goes up and spins. Above, there is a very beautiful view overlooking the whole of Copenhagen.🇩🇰

I bought the entrance fee that did not include the rides... I was very happy just to walk around and view the gardens. I must say, that this was the most beautiful and green amusement park I have ever seen And it was a real trip to be able to walk under the roller coaster. (I had never seen that before.)
Also plenty of eating places and shopping areas.

I just paid for entry as I'm not a fan of rides. But the place was lovely lots bigger than I expected, it had a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend to visit at around 6pm in the summer have a wonder in the daylight maybe grab something to eat and then you will see it in the dark too. It was the night which made the place even more stunning

Such an amazing place. The gardens themselves are beautiful. The rides are great and they have such a variety. There are quite a few rides for young kids around 3 years old. There’s so much to do and the space is so well utilized that you don’t feel like you’re walking for miles on end. This is a must visit place in Copenhagen.

The park is super beautiful, the haunted houses were super fun to go to and just the whole vibe of the place was amazing. The Halloween decorations were also super fun. The only downside is the price of entrance and for the rides, which was quite high in my opinion. Even though the prices were high I can't wait to go again for the Christmas theme.
Leah Winkler — Google review
I think if not the best, one of the top parks in Europe. Great restaurants, coffee bars, theaters, garden, entertainment park in such a great combination. Especially if you visiting when it's ready for Christmas. So many activities and entertainment you will definitely enjoy! Must see for sure.

Stunning place. Relaxing and just a great place to visit. An oasis in the city centre.
Gardens / Theme park, choose what you prefer or both. Either way it's got a relaxed atmosphere.

Had an amazing evening here! We bought the compete package (entry and unlimited rides and photos) and definitely made our money's worth in rides. Lots of options, from super kid friendly to super scary (the Demon). So many food options, but gasoline grill gets special mention for their huge fries portion. If you are there on Saturday stay for the light show and the fireworks. If you have time while in Copenhagen this will be a fun night out.

A unique place. Rides, an aquarium, gardens, restaurants and bars
Very easy going and family friendly atmosphere. Queues were short and the ride pass works so well.
It seems small but has an incredible amount in one location. Lovely to see old people falling asleep in deck chairs on a sunny afternoon while kids are having fun on rides.

As it is one of the oldest theme park, it is worth to visit. For anyone who love taking photos, I recommended to go before evening time. Then u can enjoy both day and night vibe. Not so big one.

I brought a sibling here, and they loved it. I enjoyed it myself here as well. It's a very beautiful amusement park and I loved how it was connected to the food hall which has a variety of great food options. Fridays suck as they have concerts and it's going to be packed....aim for a cloudy weekday...some days you will wait ages in lines, we where lucky and had 10 min wait for rides....lots of people come here to see the flowers and lights for which there is no line.
Sunny weekends are going to be packed.
Danish weather is temperamental, bring plastic ponchos and hope for the best, wind does not get bad here

If you are a tourist and you love history and art, this is the place for you to visit. The fun rides may be a little out of date, but keep in mind they were from 100 years ago. Everything was so beautiful and artistically arranged. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops and chocolates. The Garden was not only for the kids but also the adults of all ages. We were glad that we saved the place last during our stay at Copenhagen.

Very nice place. Finely decorated for Halloween. I expect they'll do a great job for Christmas as well. I think this place is a bit overrated, though. Don't get me wrong, it's very nice and there are few fun rides. But I would go here only if I stayed for a few days in Copenhagen. Don't sacrifice other beautiful spots in the city to go here instead. But as a last day thing to do and especially if you're there with friends, it's a fun place where to spend a few hours

Went in November knowing little about the place. Had an incredible time in the massive winter wonderland with shops and stalls ans even fairground rides! Definitely recommend going in winter.
Ride pass is around €30 on top of €18 entrance fee but you can enter without a ride pass and pay for rides individually or not at all. Worth the price though

We were there at Christmas with family. It was so beautifully decorated, there were rides for all ages, delicious food. I recommend, for Christmas, to see how many rides planning to go on before buying the unlimited band.
Jill Curry — Google review
Underwhelming. Paid 160dkk (£18) to enter. The rides were fairly interesting to look at as they’re prettier than what you get at a typical British fairground but didn’t seem particularly thrilling inducing so didn’t give any a go. Would probably be worth it if you have young children who would enjoy the smaller rides however.
Maxim Cooper — Google review
Lovely little theme park that's perfect for the kids. There is not much to walk, the rides are designed mostly for kids with only a couple that are on the extreme side and there is plenty of food and drink choices in such a small place. What was also great is that the entrance cost is cheaper if you don't want to go on the rides, making it possible to go in to experience the historic architecture of one of the oldest theme parks in the world. You're also able to come and go from the park on the day you go, just remember to get your hand stamped before leaving.

Amazing. If you’re in Copenhagen you have to go, no question. I have visited both during summer and to see the Christmas markets, both were great with the Christmas lights really taking the cake for me, I felt like I was in a movie. Rides are also great, but just seeing the lights and market stalls are also plenty to do. So many great food options inside for both food and desserts, so definitely come hungry.

Great place to visit with friends, family or your loved ones. Decorated with astonishing lights. You will only fully enjoy them when is dark. I saw fountain show accompanied by classic music. That was fantastic experience.
Rides look different from each other, very unique, but I didn't go on them. You have to pay extra to use them.

It's a wonderful, almost magical place. You can feel like you're in a fairy tale there. We visited on December 30th, and despite the large number of people, the vastness of the park made it feel uncrowded. In the evening, it has an even more enchanting charm. It's important to mention that using the Copenhagen Card, you can enter the park twice in one day by obtaining a special stamp. However, for some attractions, tickets are not always available at the machines - you need to purchase a package. For those who prefer not to buy packages, using the app might be somewhat inconvenient. My only suggestion - improve and maintain your app.
Karolina Gołębiewska — Google review
Absolutely fantastic. I visited in December 2023 with family, including two kids in prams. Spent the whole day there, and you can leave with the kids of you need to and re-enter (make sure you get that days stamp on your hand!)
Highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance to skip the queues, and if you get the ticket that includes free digital images, download the app and set that up ahead of time! We made that mistake and missed out on images. Don't forget to take your one free go at the wheel - it's the huge one beside Aquila I think!
I rode everything I could, and had a great time. My faves are the demon and star flyer I think! I also recommend bringing scarves and gloves if you're riding the taller rides in the winter!!
I think it's superb that it's a themes seasonal attraction and I'd love to visit again in spring.

Such an amazing place. We loved it and we had a lot of fun there. The gardens are very well taken care of and the games are suitable for all ages. They present some shows and plays as well. Inside, you will have everything you may need, restaurants, toilets…etc. and of course, they have Lego shop :). It’s a bit expensive, but it’s not for Denmark and for all what they offer. Highly recommended, especially with kids.
You can go out and go back again, but you need kind of permission.

Visited around December time and it was a wonderful wonderland! There were so many stalls of food and gifts inside creating a lovely Christmas atmosphere. Tivoli Gardens is a must do day out for families when visiting Copenhagen. The theme park is one of the oldest in the World and is famous for inspiring the original US Disneyland.
.
The gardens are located directly opposite Copenhagen central station and its location and presence in the city is very unique for a capital.
.
Using the Copenhagen Card we were able to gain access to the gardens as part of the cards attractions ticket meaning that the only additional charge was the ride pass, which gives you access to all the rides all day long, for as many times as you wish. Please note, if you only want to go on 1 or 2 rides you can just pay as go but 3+ makes buying a ride pass worth it.
.
My kids loved the rocket and wooden rollercoaster and went on both 4 times each + most of the other rides with only a few exceptions.
.
The gardens are a spectacular attraction in themselves and it was very enjoyable taking in the different settings and venues dotted around the rides.
.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink and all are of a high standard and are reasonably priced. If you wish, you can leave and return to the park so long as you get a stamp. However, tickets and passes are only valid for 1 day.
.
As mentioned at the start of this review Tivoli is a must visit attraction in Copenhagen even if you don't like rides as the site is full of history and character.

Great place. Have fun. Must visit if you are in Copenhagen. Tivoli Gardens is not just an amusement park, but an absolutely great place to have fun and enjoy drinks and food. The rides here are amazing and then you have surprising events all the time. One of the best places to visit in Copenhagen.
The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is an art museum with a wide range of works, from ancient Mediterranean sculptures to 19th-century Danish paintings. It's located in the historic city centre of Copenhagen, and is free on Tuesdays.
Amazing private collection in central Copenhagen. Has everything from Egyptian mummies to Roman sculptures and French modern artists. The winter garden is among the most beautiful places in Copenhagen.
Don’t miss out free-Tuesdays for the permanent collections.

Great museum. Large variety of art and sculptures from all over the world. There was a lovely free clay class, where you made your own little tile. That was a very fun surprise. The area inside is gorgeous and there are over 20 rooms full of art, so it will take quite a bit of your time to see it all. But definitely recommend going here, it was very nice.

This is the private collection of Carl Jacobson, of Carlsberg beer fame. It contains mainly Danish and some French painters from the late 1800s, and a great deal of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman statuary, mainly from tombs. They had a special exhibit, that was great, of a Spanish painter. The museum is relatively small, and free on the last Wednesday of every month. It was interesting, and it is easy to get through the museum in 1-2 hours.

Highly recommend for a visit
- you can spend an hour or more here (some people even come here to sketch artworks which the museum provides seats)
- garden in the center is beautiful, both decoration and even natural sunlight from the glass roof. There are many benches to sit and enjoy the atmosphere
- there are many pieces from Western culture as well as Egyptian
- the funny thing is there are many head statues and also many broken noses lmao
- they provide locker rooms, in case you have big belonging such as backpack, which you can exchange a coin using credit card with coin machines. Later on, you can either keep the coin or exchange it back

I am a tourist from Indonesia and this is the first time I have come here and had a memorable new experience. To enter the gallery, I use the Copenhagen card. I came in the afternoon and at that time quite a lot of visitors. Here you can see paintings and sculptures from Europe. This place is suitable to be visited with a partner or alone. You can feel inspired when you leave here. At the bottom of the gallery there is also a beautiful garden and gift shop.

Review regarding the art is 10/10. It's so rich, in different epochs and styles, really impressive and very well presented. The garden is beautiful and well maintained.
What could be improved:
1. Heating - it was cold in most of the rooms. I assume maybe it can not be too hot where the paintings are (?), but it is really cold to be there without your jacket on
2. Food in the caffe - The museum is big and you could easily spend the whole day there. So most likely, you will eat something. The current menu is really poor, food is of good quality but super blend and basic. It was not seasoned at all and was really hard to eat.
3. Security staff breaths behind your neck, so it was awkward for a few moments 😳😀

Freetown Christiania, also known as Christiania, is a community and commune located in Christianshavn, Copenhagen. It was established by squatters in 1971 and is now home to around 850 to 1,000 residents covering an area of 7.7 hectares. The community offers an alternative lifestyle with communal living and collective business ventures.
The Church of Our Saviour is a stunning 17th-century Baroque place of worship in Copenhagen. It offers an exhilarating excursion as visitors can climb the narrow winding stairs to reach the top of the church tower, providing breathtaking views across the city. The church is a notable landmark on tours of Copenhagen, along with other attractions like the old Stock Exchange and the Little Mermaid.
Breathtaking view of the city from the top. It requires climbing which can be a bit challenging since there are 400 steps but it’s definitely worth it. You can climb the stairs all the way to the top. It can be very windy up there but the view is incredible. Best view of the city!

A must visit while in Copenhagen. The best 360 degree views of the entire city from the outdoor staircase. If you're afraid of heights the outside top section of the staircase may be a challenge but you can always stop at the viewing deck for some good views without climbing all the way to the top. The inside stair climb gets decently narrow at the top but is such a cool experience seeing the history and architecture up close. I was inside the tower when the bells went off and it was such a cool experience! The entry fee is super cheap and they accept major credit cards. Highly recommend you add it to your must-do list on your visit!

The Church of Our Saviour in Copenhagen is an architectural masterpiece that offers a truly unique and exhilarating experience for visitors. Its iconic steeple climb is an opportunity to conquer fears and witness breathtaking views of the city.
The church itself is a stunning example of Danish Baroque architecture, with its intricate details and beautiful interior. However, it's the steeple climb that sets this place apart. If you can muster up the courage to ascend its winding, narrow staircase, you're in for a treat.
As you climb higher, the anticipation builds, and when you finally reach the outdoor spiral staircase, the adrenaline rush is undeniable. The panoramic views of Copenhagen from the top are nothing short of awe-inspiring. The city sprawls out beneath you, revealing its charm and beauty in every direction.
While the ascent can be challenging, the feeling of accomplishment upon reaching the top is unmatched. It's a journey that not only offers breathtaking vistas but also a sense of personal triumph over fear. The Church of Our Saviour's steeple climb is a must for those seeking a memorable adventure and a new perspective on Copenhagen.

What can I say about something that everyone is highly speaking? I found the church closed, although I had an appointment to climb into the tower. Inside, the stairs are easy to climb, at the beginning, then they become steeper and steeper, reaching to vertical in last part. Then, you reach a platform from where you have a wonderful see sight of the city. The outer stairs are becoming narrower as you climb, in order to reach nowhere as they never have a real end ( and you hit your head into something hard). If it’s crowded, then there is an issue as there is not enough space. As a summary, you go up in order to have from where to come down. The main piece is the platform as it’s the place where you fill your heart with beauty. Let’s say it was worth it.

Really nice view! Maybe the best in town. Buy your tickets in advance, we tried to go on Thursday and were sold out even online. So, we get the tickets next day but when we bought it (maybe 5:00 pm) it just left tickets to 7:00 & 7:30 (the last schedules).

The external spiral winding is really nice to climb up. It costs around 60dkk per person for entry. The church bell looks really old but built really strong. The inner wooden staircase looks really old but nostalgic. The view from up top the church is magical. It's more beautiful if you can time it at the end of hour so that you can hear all the church bells ringing and echoing.

This Church has a lot of history in Denmark is a place you should definitely see when visiting Copenhagen. If you are afraid of heights I still recommend taking a look at the chapel as it is very ornate. For the adventurous type climbing the tower is a must! The price for adults is only 65 DKK and students get a discount as well. The views are breathtaking. The stairs do get narrow so I would recommend being in some physical shape and not being afraid of heights. Seriously one of my favorite places to visit.

I was supposed to climb the tower, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the bad weather conditions.
I had booked the ticket in advance online, and was really impressed by how quickly they refunded the money back to my account.
I only received the cancellation email once I’d arrived at the church, so thought I might as well have a look inside whilst I was there.
The interior of the church is actually really beautiful, and definitely worth visiting.

Baroque Copenhagen church built in 1695 with a 70 metre spire constructed more than 50 years later. Climbing the spire is a great experience with fantastic views over the city. It is 400 steps to the top with the final 150 steps on the outside. If you plan a visit make sure to buy timed tickets for entry to the spire in advance.
Our Savior's Church tower contains six large bells and a fantastic carillon. With as many as 48 bells, the carillon plays its delicate melodies over the neighbourhood daily
John Carr (Corinne and John) — Google review
Amazing view from the top. A lot of stairs to climb, but I would not call it a struggle. Anyway, would not recommend for elderly or really small children. Stairs are wooden, dark, so kind of spooky, but definitly worth of the view.
Visnja Markovic — Google review
My highlight of the trip! The ticket was worth the price. The view is amazing from the tower. Can be a bit scary or uncomfortable going up though. I would suggest getting a time slot in advance. There were many people and we had to wait for 40 minutes before getting in.
Марина Мальтинская — Google review
Such a cool spire and lookout point—best view of the city! I can’t find any proof that they’re related, but it makes me think of King Trident’s castle from Disney’s The Little Mermaid (and Walt did love to steal designs from Europe). This spire had an amazing 360° views and some interesting artifacts inside, but definitely not a good trip for those with a fear of heights.
Via D'Agostino — Google review
Our Saviour's is one of Denmark's most famous churches. The spire is an icon in the city, I signed up the climbing tour and waited for about 40 minutes. It was really worth the effort climbing the 400 steps to the top. The views of the entire Copenhagen was magnificent, and you appreciated the wooden stairways have been there for centuries for the worshipers. A must-see for the city! Cheers!
Qihua M — Google review
We weren’t sure whether to climb it as we were exhausted from the previous days but we did it and we don’t regret it. Whether because of the adrenalin or the views, the 400 steps weren’t as many as it sounds and it was a 30-40 minutes experience all in all(including going down). It was great even if one’s not very confident with heights.
iliyana Stoycheva — Google review
Pros: Very fun. Went on a sunset tour during summer, stayed at top for about half an our. Incredible views of the city. Would recommend going towards the end of a trip so you can find all the places you have visited. If you book sunset tickets you will have water and snacks at the top.
Cons: It is very VERY high up. Would not recommend if you have a fear of heights. If you are scared of heights, a great alternative would be the round tower. There are a lot of very scary stairs and if you choose to go to the very top it gets really scary climbing the spiral staircase outside the tower.
Gregory Ipeirotis — Google review
Amazing view of the city from top, but needs you to climb about 15 floors through difficult stairs. Also by the time you reach the top, it feels quite high and windy (a bit scary as well, even though the stairs have a solid railing to prevent any disaster).
The view of the city from top is unmatched. Also the large bells and their synchronous music is amazing to imagine while climbing the tower.
We couldn't enter first time we visited due to a long wait, and next time we booked tickets in advance - would strongly recommend doing that.
Purav Gandhi — Google review
What an amazing church. It not only looks like a wine diamond and is eye-catching, but you can also climb from the bottom to the top. The wooden ladder is very thrilling, but when you get to the top, you can see the entire Copenhagen scenery. Really impressive ~
Momo — Google review
One of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen. We had to book a ticket online because it was already sold out when we first arrived there. But the wait was worth it. The first 250 steps up were very easy, after that it got steeper and you really had to watch where you are going. The views at the top were amazing! There is a limit of people per times timeslot so it wasn't that crowded on top of the church. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
Notes: If you have kids or elderly people with you, you should reconsider going up the tower due to the difficult climb up. And obviously it isn't made for people afraid of heights.
Stefan Schneider — Google review
Book a time slot well in advance to avoid disappointment. Amazing bells on view on the way up the wooden stairs. Fantastic panoramic views from the top viewing platform and a further brass spiral staircase takes you even higher! Don't miss the amazing organ in the church below. Nearby Christiana worth a stroll.
Simon Kingsley-Smith — Google review
We only got to the tower since the church was close to the time we visited. Great monument, have to climb some steep stairs to get to the top where the view over Copenhagen is outstanding. Totally worth the leg exercise!
I guess one should be cautious in case of strong winds
Nick Z — Google review
Worth every penny to climb up the tower and learn about the history! The tower’s upper part is very steep and there are quite a lot of stairs so might require some physical fitness to climb
Annika Shi — Google review
Gorgeous and unique looking church. The main church itself was closed due to a funeral service but the tower above was open as normal. If you’re scared of heights, give it a miss! We naively went up on a very windy day and as someone that’s not even remotely scared of heights, it was scary!!
I can imagine it being scary on a calm day too, low railings, steps leaning on an angle, etc… the steps just get smaller and smaller until they just disappear and you can’t walk any further.
Worth it for the fantastic views from the top though!

In 2024, a special celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach's organ music is held in Our Saviour's Church. Over 16 hour-long concerts, organist Lars Sømod will perform all the organ pieces in Johann Sebastian Bach's catalogue of works on the church's famous elephant organ during the year - a powerful performance by the greats.

But there is much more to see and do.
You can climb the tower! On the outside! Highly recommended. The view is amazing.

Monumental organ inssiide this church is a must see. The view from its tower is absolutely stunning when the weather is nice. However note that tower church is closed in January.
nadia641 — Google review
The 360 degrees views from the viewing platform are not to be missed …and even more spectacular if you dare to continue upwards along the outside spiral metal staircase. Not for the faint hearted though … As it’s the same steep 400 steps up that you climb inside the tower and the same steps down … but so worth the exercise you give your lungs and legs.
Nice little museum, but the outdoor part didn't have any signs in English, only German.
Gustav Ljungqvist — Google review
A chilling reminder of a less forgiving time where the west and east were divided, a Cold War watchtower with a history of those that tried to make there way to the west….. worth a visit. Information boards are in Germany only but the pictures tell a story. You can climb the tower for a small fee (2€ per person). 4 stars only because of the lack of multi lingual support.

The Rostock Zoo in Rethwisch Borgerende, Germany is a modern zoo that boasts of spacious and naturalistic habitats for its animals. It also has a high-tech visitor center that pays homage to Darwin's work. The zoo staff is creative and hardworking, as evidenced by the impressive animal light show they have put together. Walking around the entire zoo during opening hours allows visitors to see all it has to offer.
Amazing zoo with a big selection of animals from different geni. Also the animals are having a lot of space and the zoo has taken care of generating an environment where they will feel more comfortable.
Also, the zoo park is so large, going early to go through the whole area by evening is a must.
The price is definitely worth if as this place needs to be maintained.
All in all, awesome place, best zoo I've ever visited!

Overall it's a fine zoo. However when I was there in May 2022 and they had 2 young polar bear cubs. The polar bear exhibit was extraordinary. Very impressed. The rest of the zoo is pretty large and has a lot of stop off areas for kids to play. The food situation isn't great.

I am visiting Rethwisch Bõrgerende Germany from my hometown of San Francisco, California and i decided to support the local Rostock Zoo by visiting the animal light show. I am impressed by the creativity and hard work the Zoo staff has established. The crowd visiting the show was very light and it was easy for us to walk around the light show with our Black Labrador (€4.00) and we did fine. The weather was cold so we did not stay to late but we did get a good view of the show. I recommend a visit with your kids or family.

A great place to relax between the woords and fresh air. Its spread across a large area so it takes almost a day to cover each and every part. The most highlighting part is the aquarium which hold the polar bear. The zoo is very clean and well maintained. It can be accessed via Tram which drops directly next to the zoo.

The Zoo Rostock is a nice place, especially for children and families. The prices are getting a bit too expensive for my personal view, but still, if you want your children to have a quiet, enjoyable Zoo experience, I would definitely recommend visiting Zoo Rostock.
The Evangelical St. Mary's Church in Rostock is a significant 13th-century building that boasts an exquisitely crafted wooden altar and a massive pipe organ. The church has a simple yet enigmatic exterior, and its interior is adorned with stunning architecture that attracts many visitors. Despite the large crowds, the atmosphere inside remains peaceful and calm, making it an ideal place for contemplation or reflection.
Beautiful church with stunning exterior as well as interior. It really feels like this church shows how strong Rostock was back in the days. If you are a student, you only pay 2 euros for the entrance fee. It’s a neat church overall, but the astrological clock inside is amazing. It really makes you wonder how people of the past could come up with the idea of creating it.

This church is very special! Highly recommended. There are some decorations related to the characteristics of this city: harbour. In addition, the astronomical clock is also amazing. It has worked for more than 500 years and provides a lot of calendar/astronomical information. I like this clock more than the one in Prague. After visiting this church, I donated some money because I hope that anything in church can be maintained in a good condition.

It's not much to look at from outside. Inside it's quite beautiful but, in my opinion, still overrated. The thing that makes it famous is its astronomical clock which is unique. The church was quite crowded around the clock and monuments because of tour guides and tourists, but I guess this is a sign of its popularity. I wasn't overwhelmed and, nice as it was, I wouldn't bother to go back a second time. It's one of those places where you can truly say 'Been there, done that, got the T-shirt'

Beeindruckend.

Impressive. First mentioned in a document in 1232 and built as an early Gothic hall church, St. Mary's Church was converted into a multi-nave church (basilica) as early as 1290. The addition of the huge transept began in 1398. By 1454 the church (apart from the tower) was completed as a Gothic central building with a vault height of 32 meters. You simply have to see it. 200-hectare wildlife park since 1959 featuring animal programs, a petting zoo, trails & playgrounds.
While visiting Rostock Germany from San Francisco, I decided to visit the Wildpark-MV. The prices for 2 adults and our Labrador dog was less than $40.00 and I feel this is reasonable especially after observing the park compound and animal care. The entire park compound is really clean and feels manicured. The animals looked very healthy. The entire park is spacious enough for the animals to function freely. The most educational area for me was the Bear and Wolves enclosure. I highly recommend a visit

Lovely two rococo palaces from the 18th century, princess Louise and Frederike. Mostly destroyed in the war, restoration took place in earnest in 2005. Nice Therme with 4 Saunas, a quiet area which I didn't like because it was rather uncomfy with cheap blankets and a bad smell. Beds were also not supporting relaxation in the lake sauna. The library relaxation area is a little nicer but too small. In the lake sauna, you probably always find a seat because it's huge, and you have a nice view over the lake with the possibility to walk directly into the lake after the sauna visit. Especially during winter, quiet refreshing. The other area with the Saunas was good. Here, you have a live infusion, whereas in the lake sauna, it's automatic.
There is also an ice area and two walk through showers for gold and hot water. The pools for my liking where all too cold and I didn't spend a minute in there.
Overall a nice experience but there is potential to make it even nicer and a little more comfy.

Overall very underwhelming. Kitchen closes at 7pm, food is very expensive and of low quality. The only thing that is enjoyable is the lake sauna. Rather go to Vabali in Berlin for an experience 10 times as good at the same price. Terrible lighting concept, no customer experience design.
Eva Schlindwein — Google review
Very relaxing place, with various saunas and pools to choose from. I was here mid March but the cold did not matter in the warm pool outside, under the full moon. I have enjoyed it a lot and plan to go back as soon as possible.
Val Gheorghe — Google review
A bit further out from Berlin, so I can not get there as often as I would like. It would be great to go once a week and discover everything that they have to offer. The saunas are my favorite, such a nice mix of options and many great programs at regular intervals.

Great idea to escape busy Berlin for a day and just relax. Easily reachable by public transportation, the train station is just 10 minutes away walking so don't be afraid to go without a car. All facilities are very nice, pool and sauna and steam baths are the best and the bistro is totally worth it!
Estefania Barchietto — Google review
We spent a few hours on Sunday night there and had a lot of fun at Fontane Therme. Great experience in the sauna direct at the lake.

This place is a great place to relax. You can reach the place quite easily with the train and a short walk. I s there during Easter and while it was running at full capacity, it still felt quite empty so that relaxing was actually possible. This is really a highlight since in the other options in Berlin like Vabali or Liquidrom you feel like sardines packed in a can. The employees are really friendly and try their best to make your stay pleasant. Food options in the Therme itself were very limited and overpriced, but options in the hotel annexed are okay. Overall, great experience.
Andrea Mendieta — Google review
The worst experience ever! The receptionist was rude and disrespectful. We only took 3 bathrobe sets but she entered 2 more into the bill without our consent. They refused to do anything when we asked for a correction, and fooled us to pay the whole amount by promising return the overpaid items to our bank account. The next day they changed their mind, said the only offer they can provide is two free sets for our next visit.
How can we still trust such a company who lied and even stole from customers? Of course we won’t visit again!
If you expect rudeness and arrogance, that would the a suitable place to go!
Leisure park with animal enclosures & full size dinosaur models, plus adventure playground & rides.
It was an amazing experience. We highly recommend it. It's much bigger than in the pictures I've seen here. There are different parts of the park, Dino parc, animals, lake, kids playground.
The price is much cheaper than a zoo and are many many animals. I recommend... At least 5 hours.

nice park, especially for family
I would recommend it on weekends, buy the tickets from website (online), because the line of waiting very long. Difficult to find a parking for cars. You can eat inside the park if you grab something from home. I didn’t see a 300 animals that their website talked about.
Samer Fahed — Google review
A great place to spend a day with the kids. It's an interesting mix of a petting zoo, some wild animals, a theme park, play areas plus a dinosaur world. It shouldn't really make sense but it does. It's quite big so even when it's busy it still doesn't feel too overwhelming. My only minor complaint is the need to pay when exiting the parking as it can create a bit of a gridlock, they should just include the fee in the ticket.

Fantastic place. A true gem for kids and adults. Had great fun here. Not too expensive and easy to have a nice time here. The dinosaurs are a great attraction, but the best part are the deer which you can feed.

We visited while visiting family in Berlin. The park is huge and such a fun way to spend the day. You could spend a whole day here without the kids getting bored. There’s the Dino park, which is very large. Petting zoos with roaming deer, options to swim when the weather is nice, many different food options and much more we didn’t get to see.
Chloe Fischer — Google review
Very nice park with animals, big dinosaur figures and carousels for kids almost of all ages. Brig coins since most rides are unlocked with 50 cents or 1€. There is also a wending machine für coins. The best food is too be found in the dinosaur area.
Sebastian — Google review
The park is very entertaining for kids. The area is pretty big and split in 3 big groups. The first, close to the entrance, is where you have a lot of recreation for kids, like playgrounds and some paid rides. Next there's two big circuits with animals, some that are running free and you can pet them. Finally, there the dinosaur area, with one big and wide circuit. Depending on your pace, you can complete everything in 2 or 3 hours. Overall the kids enjoyed very much and had fun while we were there.
Marcelo Moreira — Google review
Great place to spend a full day with kids. There are petting animals, dinosaur theme based park, tasty food stalls, lot of play activities for all kid age groups and a mini golf course.
Rahul Malhotra — Google review
Great park for families. We went with our 7-year-old, and he loved it. Animals to watch and feed, dinosaurs to learn about, and lots of space to just play. There are also some play areas which are fun.
On less star because of needing to pay extra for some of the attractions (bumper cars, etc).
Jana Romeo — Google review
Rather crowded on warm spring days. Rich Zoo with lots of domestic and exotic animals. Playgrounds are well equipped, kids have lots of spaces to get their rage out. The Dino area is fun if you're a fan. There are plenty of paid attractions inside, some of them are decent. Ponds and canals are nice too, you can have some beach time during summer. Huge lines for food and often at the entry before and during noon. You can bring your own food for a picnic, keep in mind that grilling is prohibited.
Artem Kovalyov — Google review
It’s a very good place to visit with kids. The park has different areas where kids can see nicely made life-like dinosaur replicas, a small zoo and farm animals. It also has different play areas for kids and a lake. Prices for food and rides are quite reasonable (not really expensive). Overall a very family-friendly park. You can spend between 3-4 hours, or longer if you wish, walking around.
Diana Vanegas — Google review
Interesting place to visit with kids! It's a bit far from Berlin center by public transit (SBahn, bus then 20-minute walk), but worth it for a day trip. The park is really big, with a zoo section, section with dinosaur statues, various playgrounds, coin-operated rides, an indoor play area, a lake for swimming (no lifeguards), and some restaurant options.
We went with two 3.5-year-olds and they had a great time. We were glad we brought our Bollerwagen to pull the kids around, but wooden wagons were also available to rent in the park for 5 EUR.
The entrance fee is very reasonable (7 EUR for adults, 3,50 for kids) but we found out that's because they try to upsell you EVERYWHERE. There are coin-operated rides all over, and every kiosk has a ton of cheap dinosaur toys for sale (left out in the open where kids can grab them, of course). But as long as your kids are pretty good about not asking for every little thing you can still have a good time. Some things are worth paying a little extra for, like the "water walking" ride where you go inside huge inflatable barrels and roll around on top of a pool of water. Not cheap (4 EUR per person for 5 minutes), but unique and a lot of fun.
The dino park section was well done, with still statues all around. They were life-size and made for impressive vistas. Playgrounds are interspersed around so the little ones can have something to do while enjoying the backdrop.
We stopped for lunch at the Asian kiosk nearest the entrance and wished we had waited, as the food quality was poor, and there were much better options further in near the zoo animals. Definitely go in further and find those.
We didn't see much of the zoo section because the girls were focused on the dinosaurs, but we did get to pet a very tame deer and saw owls, parrots, and snakes.
All in all we were glad we came once but don't feel the need to visit again.

Great price at entrance and parking. Good theme park!
It’s a large park with different entertainments. There are animals you get to pat and feed. A cafe with a lot of toys. Small trains and cars. It costs something little like 50 cents or 1 euro.
The entrance is quite good price at 6 euro.
Parking costs 1 only.
Food there is not expensive at all, quite fair price. Tastes pretty OK.
We enjoyed a lot and will definitely visit again.
Highly recommended!
Canny Chiang — Google review
We liked it!
They did a great job with the dinosaurs! There are so many! And the lake area with the prehistoric octopus and the slide seem really great.
There is no shade, so we will save it for a different visit on a less hot day.
The deer are other animals are able to roam freely which was nice to see.
The bird cage is too small for birds :( But so it is in most zoos and animal parks. It is just to nature.
They have a lot of parking, benches and enough restrooms and snacks. The snacks are typical of Berlin and similar places: sausages, French fries, ice cream, sugary drinks, etc.
So if you plan to be there the entire day, I suggest to bring a picnic.
Of course things could be improved. The number one thing would be to ban smoking on the grounds of the park. There are cigarette butts littering the grounds and beach areas in a lot of spots :(
It is a very large place with a diversity of fun things to do for the kids.

Startling reminder of what happened. A very open and personal way to explore the camp, no fixed routes so you're free to take your time and visit areas as you like. Many, many artefacts, descriptions and first hand accounts which leave you asking time and time again how this could happen. Highly recommend the audio guides which give much more insight than just reading as you go, with options to delve deeper into areas that you want to hear more about. Not a place for young children or anyone in a rush.

🇩🇪German historical concentration camps are a dark chapter in human history, representing one of the most heinous crimes against humanity committed during the Holocaust. These camps, established and operated by the xxx between 1933 and 1945, were intended to imprison, torture, and exterminate millions of innocent people, primarily Jews, but also political dissidents, Romani people, disabled individuals.

Interesting bit of German history. Important to go and learn about some WW2 history and show some respect to the victims of the war. A lot of buildings were taken down, tour guide informed a lot about the history of the place. A few remains of crematoriums, soviet monument, rooms and workstations.

Very impressive monument. Makes you humble and silent. What really irritated me, were some German classes with teenagers, making fun,
laughing and running in the barak. And the teachers didn't react or corrected them. Without this annoying behaviour, a must see for every person, to never forget.

Only 4 barracks are still standing and possible to visit. The rest of the terrain is empty, you can see where the rest of the barracks were before, but that's it. Great place to take the kids and family for the day. There are many rides, an indoor soft play area and a few outdoor play areas. The shop is quite interesting, you can find quite a lot of strawberry and honey products. There are a couple of food options, all decent but nothing special. Entry is free and you pay for the rides (some are covered by the day pass, others are not, which is a bit random).

I'm reluctant to give mediocre reviews because I find it easier to categorize either pro or con. I have to make an exception here because this was actually a really lovingly designed family park with good attractions and the potential to sweeten a family's whole day. Unfortunately, out of the three hours of visiting time, we waited in line for two hours. 45 minutes standing while eating, 40 minutes on the roller coaster, 40 minutes on the swing. That's why I strongly advise against a day ticket because otherwise you have to stay there all day to enjoy all the attractions.

This place was great. Awesome place to come with the kids. You don't even have to pay if you just want to go to the playgrounds, but an all day pass is still fairly cheap. We ate at the chicken place in the back and the food was great. Highly recommend

Very nice park and close to Berlin. Perfect for spending the day with children. You have the option of buying the day ticket (almost all attractions included) or pay for each separately. The Olympiastadion Berlin is an iconic stadium located in Berlin, Germany. It was originally built for the 1936 Summer Olympics and has been the home of several German football clubs, most notably Hertha BSC. Today, it is still one of the largest stadiums in Europe and is often used for major events such as the Bundesliga match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
I went to this place to watch the league match between Berlin and Frankfurt with some Frankfurt fan friends.
The stadium is huge and the beautiful. Can hold great number of audience.
This stadium also holds the Olympic games logo which talks about the history of the stadium.
Oval shaped stadium with naturally beautiful and well maintained grass is very attractive.
Besides the stadium, even the crowd in the stadium are wonderful. They were energetic and that was a treat to experience.
There's also a Tram stop near the stadium. So, this is very well connected.
Only thing people need to note is, the drinks near the stadium are very expensive. I would highly recommend that you buy your drinks and come. Only Beer and non-alcoholic beverages were allowed.

The price was 25 euros for 2 people because we had a discount due to buying the Berlin card.

Good to go and see, just not a whole lot to do when you get there. None of the food stalls except one were open by that’s probably down to the time of the day we got there. The stadium itself is a big and proud as you’d expect. Glad we went but would have liked a little something else to do when you get there.

Overall enjoyed the atmosphere and how big the stadium looks as well as the history. Though I went somewhat in the Winter time it was a bit renovated and unable to see a lot of it. Overall a definitely must stop for the cultural impact!! They also have a lot of information panels in both German and English that help you get a sense of what you're looking at! As well as they have preserved most of the stadium from the 1936 Olympics! It's impressive to see the monuments as well as the places that people almost long gone have stayed!

The continued effort to restore and yet keep it functioning is amazing. My father told my family of his excitement as a very young child being taken to the 1936 Olympics in his uncle's arms. We took my father, back now at 91 and he is so amazed at how familiar it feels.

There's something about walking up to the main entrance here, and under those five rings.
It's a clean stadium. Clean looking architecture, well kept grounds and it's well run.
The stadium has its place in history, and the various statues surrounding it testify to that and provide a reminder of those famed moments.
History aside, it has plenty to offer outside of sport.
It's perfect for events and concerts. Transport there is excellent. Once there, it offers great options for food and drink and queues aren't bad.
The security for my recent concert was well run and people management was effective and efficient.
Very much worth the visit.

Update: we went back and took the 1 hour tour today. Our guide was Olmo and he was amazing! Tons of great information and went to places in the stadium you can only visit by guide. It is worth every penny. Thank you, Olmo. You were amazing.
If you want to take a tour (1 hour) make sure to make a reservation in advance. We are going back Thursday for the guided tour that gets us into the VIP area from the 1936 Olympics. This stadium is stunning in size. Amazing history. Lots more detail to see walking around the grounds. Easiest way to the stadium is S-Bahn to Olympic Stadion stop. Right across the street from there.

A remarkable blend of historical significance and modern architecture, offering a breathtaking experience for visitors. Steeped in history, the stadium retains elements of its original 1936 design, yet has been masterfully updated to meet contemporary standards, making it a symbol of timelessness.
The beauty of the Olympiastadion lies not only in its grandeur and scale but also in the intricate details of its construction. The juxtaposition of old and new elements creates a unique aesthetic that is both awe-inspiring and thought-provoking. The vast seating area, with its impressive capacity, provides excellent views from virtually every angle, ensuring an enjoyable experience whether you’re there for a sports event or a concert.
The stadium’s atmosphere is electrifying, especially during major events, encapsulating the spirit of competition and celebration. Its state-of-the-art facilities add to the comfort and enjoyment of visitors, making every visit memorable. Additionally, the surrounding area of the stadium, with its lush greenery and open spaces⬤

One of the worlds more stunning stadiums! Was here for Hertha Berlin v Magdeburg and the atmosphere was electric. Fans are a pleasure to be around and super friendly!

Good history, architecture, seats and area. Easy to connect with the subway and an impressive construction all around. Loved the informational signs and different monuments of Olympic history around the arena. Good experience, expensive if you don’t get a discount from the lovely cashier at the store part of the area. Thanks and Hello.

Stunning stadium and tour. Combined with a lot of history. Highly recommended. English speaking tour guide was excellent. Simple to book online.

What a stadium l.. absolutely massive
Lot of historical events happened here which makes it a must visit for me.
Well worth the 10 euros to enter and walk around at your leisure.
Teufelsberg is a former Nazi mountain used for spying on Russia. Today, you can hike to the top and enjoy the stunning views of Berlin from atop the hill. There is a steep fee for taking photos, so make sure you have some cash on hand before visiting!
Really cool spot that might not get as much attention as other touristy spots in Berlin. There's a little bit of everything for everyone, there's stunning street art, it is historical for the history NERDS (like myself), there's plenty of breathtaking vistas, it's out of the city and you can find yourself surrounded by nature. Super cool, and highly recommend.

A post WW2 spy centre of allies in British zone. It was closed in 1992. The place is now famous for the wall graffiti on the walls of abandoned buildings. A training centre was supposed to come here pre-WW2. However, on the mound of debris this spy centre came up later as it gave height advantage. However, the place lacks amenities.

Very interesting place to visit! Even though is just some walls with paintings and graffiti, it’s quite impressing and has some weird vibe that makes it unique. The forest around it is also really cool to do some nature walk :)

Incredible place for mural lovers. The Teufelsberg has an atmosphere that you can fall in love with in zero seconds. The artists of Teufelsberg offer many different types of graffiti.
When you go there, take your time and prepare to immerse yourself in the world of street art.
The ticket is 6 euros for students if you buy it online, it can be more expensive if you buy it at the gate.

Great location with epic history. Many areas can be walked and the viewing platform on the large building is really great. Anyone who carefully wanders around the site will find many funny and thought-provoking details. There is also a catering service, although the prices here seem to be convincing to me. I also think the entrance fee without a guided tour is overpriced at €10. Otherwise the walk was worth it.

The awesome place for the walk and overview on the city. Graffities are amazing there, many of them just pieces of art. The most convenient way to come there by car or by feet, with the bicycle might be a bit hard - this is the small mountain ;)

The climb on foot was definitely worth it. There is plenty of street art to see and history to read. The view from the upper terrace is spectacular.
I was missing a catering option up there. I would have liked to stay there a little longer with a cold drink.

Let's face it: it's not what it used to be few years ago. Like many other abandoned places in Berlin capitalism found the way, even so high up the hill... it's a nice escape for a half day trip and those few euros for entry you'd probably spend in späti for beer anyway 🤷♂️🤣

Very unusual and remarkable place. Post-apocalyptic setting, stunning street art, bird's eye view of Berlin. Ideal place if you got tired of "standard" touristic spotlights of Berlin and want to escape the city for something new. The parkings are available on the spot (for fee) or in close vicinity down the hill (for free). Entry ticket costs 8 eur (May 2022)

Must see place if you are coming to Berlin! Take the S3 or S7 lines there if you don't have a car, then walk next to the road uphill, it's not more than 20 minutes and you are surrounded by nature. Once on the top, look for the Gallery entry, as this is privately managed. We bought the ticket online for 8€. Believe me, it's worth it. It's not ruined down, it's been kept to walk through the different floors and there are beautiful works that will blow your mind. Climbing stairs to the top you see what used to me the Listening American Station during the cold war and views over the Olympic Stadium and Berlin. Don't miss this out during your trip!
Carmen Jim?nez — Google review
10 euro for this kind of entertainment is definitely to much. Also I would like to admit that they suggest (at the entrance) to buy a ticket online on their website(8 euro fee) but it is impossible because a failure occurred every time we try to buy a ticket . Of course no one know how to deal with it. Instead of this I suggest to visit “Gardens of the World in Berlin”… much more to see…

Interesting place with an interesting history. Amazing views and amazing art.
It's possible to buy something to drink and eat.
A small walk from S bahn Station in a forest before you reach the place.
I really recommend this place.

Superschöner Ort zum erkunden, kennenlernen und verweilen auch mit Hund hat man dort eine schöne Zeit und der Rundumblick über Berlin ist einfach mal faszinierend und atemberaubend.

We definitely weren't there for the last time.

What a great location. History, art and a great view. We spent several hours here and therefor the entry fee of 8€ (when you book online) is absolutely fine. The walk to the „summit“ is a calm path in the green. When you are in Berlin and interested in lost places and urban art - go there.

As a lost places and art lover, I legally got my money's worth here. I also find the entrance fee quite acceptable for the long time I spent there. What's particularly positive is that there are authorized tickets, so be sure to bring your student/student ID card, etc. with you. If you don't want to take a guided tour, you don't necessarily have to get an online ticket.
I can't say anything about the toilets because I didn't use them. But there are several Dixis scattered around the site. I can definitely imagine coming back to another event.

One of my favorite places to visit in Berlin. Its a bit of a hike to get to the top, but its worth it! A big playground with lots of streetart. Wonderful to take pictures and you even see some of the artists at work if you are lucky.

Very spectacular „lost places“ spot located in the outskirts of Berlin. Street art & graffiti art at its best. Very nice view over Berlin. Entry fee 10,- € onsite. Booking ahead online is cheaper at 8,- €.
Kolja Hellmann — Google review
An interesting place to visit, lots of graffiti, some are artwork pieces indeed.
The view from up there is captivating. Do not expect to spend much time there, the place is not so big, only 2 installments that you go inside. You can enjoy the roof and the view from there but there are no seats. The only way up is by stairs as far as I know, 3 storey flights.
The seats are beside the information kiosk but it was closed when I visited along with a cafe that was also closed.
You have to pay a 10 euro ticket for entry or 20 euro for a guided walk.
Merham Keleg — Google review
A really cool place.
Used to be an American military facility, now it's a weird graffiti gallery (there's more weird stuff other than graffiti).
You have an amazing 360° view from the rooftop.
It takes an hour or two to explore everything.
Located in a wood, a really nice easy walk (30 min) /bike ride (15 min).
I really liked the vibe there.
A little overpriced though - the price for ordering online is €8, 10 if you buy the tickets on-site.
Still worth it.

An absolutely great place, with an interesting portion of history. The small museum is also interesting for children of a certain age.
The highlight are the many street art works that are spread across the large complex. In addition, you have a great view over Berlin from the roof of the largest building and you can even stand under a partially intact radar dome.
You can easily park in the lower parking lot and take a leisurely walk up. For me one of the recommendations when arriving or departing from Berlin.

320-m. wood-&-steel treetop pathway through the grounds & ruins of a 19th-century sanatorium.
Be careful!!! There are 2 places here. If you want to visit the bridge above forest, it is different!
This one is a very interesting route with bare foots. Very relaxing and you can have a lot fun here! I realy like this place and it is nice with friends&family!

wonderful experience! can really recommend a visit in autumn because of all the colors and beautiful nature. input in both the places history and nature. in summer there's a barefoot path as well (was closed when i was there). also for food there's a imbiss, restaurant and cafe but you could easily have a picknick in the nature as well.

Very nice outing for us with a two and a four-year-old. Started at 10:30, did the whole treetop walk-around and had a nice lunch right there. The restaurant at the base of the tower has outdoor sitting, facing a great playground.

Not well maintained I would say but for those who likes history and abandoned places this is for you. I wish they allow entry into the buildings but you gotta pay for a Room tour seperately. entry ticket is high compare to what I got to experience and compare to any other attractions. But overall I am into history and really liked encountering this wonderful landmark of History. Tree top walk was something different.
Restaurants had average good but not bad. plenty of space for kids to play. Toilets were neat and clean.
Caution: This is the first time in 3 years after moving to Germany I encountered place with tons of Mosquitos. bring mosquito repellent spray or wear full covering cloths.

Beautiful park and the path at tree height its very cool but this is too expensive and I would not recommend it if you are going just to see inside the buildings. 13.50 just to get into the park even though this covers the tree path it does not worth it at all. If you went to see the inside of the buildings it will cost you 10 more. Water cost 2.50 which is not too bad and I would recommend to bring your own everything because you can get lost here easily for 4 hours. Even though it was a good amusement, for the expenses I took I would never recommend this park. It was just a good mistake. Avoid it unless they drop prices!

This is a really cool and interesting place to visit. They did a nice job with the walkway. You have a really great view from the top of the Tower. We spend several hours walking arpund and checking out the different buildings. They have a bunch of nice Cafes and a really nice Restaurant.

Its a nice experience and deserves one time visit. The entry ticket of 16 euros is way too expensive which includes no guided tours. The guided tours are very expensive and have to be paid seperately and there are no guided tours in English which is definitely a short coming because thats what completes the experience of this place i believe. Still worth a visit for summer and fall days.

If you are someone like me who is in love with abandoned buildings, this is the place for you. It is located around 1 hour south of Berlin in Beelitz. I spent one of my favorite day trips ever there. The place consists of a few sections, it is huge. This place was abandoned after WWII, it was an isolation camp for the working population of the imperial capital Berlin to recover from Tuberculosis. There's a unique tree top path to walk around the premises of the different buildings. However if you want to check the inside of the buildings, you need to book a separate ticket for each that cost extra and doing a guided tour is the only way to check these buildings out
Guided tours available:
- Alpenhaus - 1hr
- Three Buildings Tour (Women pavilion, Cook house, surgical ward) - 1.5hr, recommended!
- Old surgery building - 1hr
I recommend to get the entrance ticket and book at least one of the guided tours to get to see the inside of the building. Doing all of them is time and money consuming so I recommend doing the three buildings tour to see the most of everything. I am giving four stars because the tours are only in German and the prices are quite expensive in my own opinion and the food options are very limited. Otherwise I am actually looking forward to go again with more friends and family

Arrive early if you don’t like stepping on people every 2 meters.
The park is big so prepare your better shoes and some money to spend at the restaurant.
Bringing your kids? Perfect idea as there is a Playground.
Do you have a wheelchair? There is a big elevator so don’t worry about those never ending stairs.
Afraid of heights? The elevated road is 16-20mts high and moves A LOT.
All information is in German and English.
Inform yourself a bit before going, so you know what to avoid and where to spend most of your time.
There is a tour around the sanatorium but better to do it without kids.

Good place for the ones who like abandoned historical buildings. Except one restaurant all other restaurants were closed on the day I visited ( weekday). Ticket price is 13.50 Euro per adult. My opinion is that it's a little bit expensive. Apart from the tree top walking there is another building which needs a separate ticket for entrance. There is a kids play area in front of one restaurant.

Such an amazing place for the whole family!!
I am amazed how they combined this historical place with ruins from the old sanatorium, with info on each of the buildings and a map, with a modern wooden walk on top of the trees, playground for kids and a canteen.
So you feel a little like in an open air museum, a little playground, a little hiking, so many places for pictures and just gazing on the nature that conquered old buildings.
Highly recommend to go there for a day. Everything is well equipped for kids, old and young. There is an elevator to go on top of the wooden high walk for those who might need it.
